1 Then Elisha said, Give ear to the word of the Lord: the Lord says, Tomorrow, about this time, a measure of good meal will be offered for the price of a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the market-place of Samaria.
1 Élisée dit: Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel! Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Demain, à cette heure, on aura une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle et deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle, à la porte de Samarie.
1 Dúirt Eilíseá: “Éistigí le briathar an Tiarna; mar seo a deir an Tiarna: ‘Um an dtaca seo amárach, beidh tomhas den phlúr is míne á dhíol ar sheicil, agus dhá thomhas eorna ar sheicil, ag geata na Samáire.’ ”
1 Dijo entonces Eliseo: Oid palabra de Jehová: Así dijo Jehová: Mañana á estas horas valdrá el seah de flor de harina un siclo, y dos seah de cebada un siclo, á la puerta de Samaria.
1 Elisa aber sprach: Höret des HERRN Wort! So spricht der HERR: Morgen um diese Zeit wird ein Scheffel Semmelmehl einen Silberling gelten und zwei Scheffel Gerste einen Silberling unter dem Tor zu Samaria.
2 Then the captain whose arm was supporting the king said to the man of God, Even if the Lord made windows in heaven, would such a thing be possible? And he said, Your eyes will see it, but you will not have a taste of the food.
2 L'officier sur la main duquel s'appuyait le roi répondit à l'homme de Dieu: Quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres au ciel, pareille chose arriverait-elle? Et Élisée dit: Tu le verras de tes yeux; mais tu n'en mangeras point.
2 Ach d'fhreagair an feidhmeannach, a bhí mar theannta ag an rí, an giolla Dé: “Fiú dá ndéanfadh an Tiarna fuinneoga sa spéir, arbh fhéidir é seo a theacht i gcrích?” “Feicfidh tú é le do shúile cinn,” arsa Eilíseá, “cé nach n‑íosfaidh tú greim de.”
2 Y un príncipe sobre cuya mano el rey se apoyaba, respondió al varón de Dios, y dijo: Si Jehová hiciese ahora ventanas en el cielo, ¿sería esto así? Y él dijo: He aquí tú lo verás con tus ojos, mas no comerás de ello.
2 Da antwortete der Ritter, auf dessen Hand sich der König lehnte, dem Mann Gottes und sprach: Und wenn der HERR Fenster am Himmel machte, wie könnte solches geschehen? Er sprach: Siehe da, mit deinen Augen wirst du es sehen, und nicht davon essen!
3 Now there were four lepers seated at the doorway into the town: and they said to one another, Why are we waiting here for death?
3 Il y avait à l'entrée de la porte quatre lépreux, qui se dirent l'un à l'autre: Quoi! resterons-nous ici jusqu'à ce que nous mourions?
3 Bhí ceathrar ag an mbealach chun an gheata - mar lobhair ab ea iad - agus bhíodar ag cur is ag cúiteamh eatarthu féin: “Cad ab áil linn inár suí anseo ag feitheamh leis an mbás?
3 Y había cuatro hombres leprosos á la entrada de la puerta, los cuales dijeron el uno al otro: ¿Para qué nos estamos aquí hasta que muramos?
3 Und es waren vier aussätzige Männer an der Tür vor dem Tor; und einer sprach zum andern: Was wollen wir hier bleiben, bis wir sterben?
4 If we say, We will go into the town, there is no food in the town, and we will come to our end there; and if we go on waiting here, death will come to us. Come then, let us give ourselves up to the army of Aram: if they let us go on living, then life will be ours; and if they put us to death, then death will be ours.
4 Si nous songeons à entrer dans la ville, la famine est dans la ville, et nous y mourrons; et si nous restons ici, nous mourrons également. Allons nous jeter dans le camp des Syriens; s'ils nous laissent vivre, nous vivrons et s'ils nous font mourir, nous mourrons.
4 Má bheartaímid dul isteach sa chathair, agus an gorta inti, gheobhaimid bás inti; má fhanaimid inár suí anseo, gheobhaimid bás chomh maith. Téanam, téimis anonn go longfort na nArámach. Má thugann siad anacal anama dúinn mairfimid; má chuireann siad chun báis sinn, ní bheidh ach deireadh linn.”
4 Si tratáremos de entrar en la ciudad, por el hambre que hay en la ciudad moriremos en ella; y si nos quedamos aquí, también moriremos. Vamos pues ahora, y pasémonos al ejército de los Siros: si ellos nos dieren la vida, viviremos; y si nos dieren la muerte, moriremos.
4 Wenn wir gleich gedächten, in die Stadt zu kommen, so ist Teuerung in der Stadt, und wir müßten doch daselbst sterben; bleiben wir aber hier, so müssen wir auch sterben. So laßt uns nun hingehen und zu dem Heer der Syrer fallen. Lassen sie uns leben, so leben wir; töten sie uns, so sind wir tot.
5 So in the half light they got up to go to the tents of Aram; but when they came to the outer line of tents, there was no one there.
5 Ils partirent donc au crépuscule, pour se rendre au camp des Syriens; et lorsqu'ils furent arrivés à l'entrée du camp des Syriens, voici, il n'y avait personne.
5 Le titim na hoíche mar sin d'éiríodar agus chuireadar chun bóthair i dtreo longfort na nArámach; ach nuair a thángadar go himeall an champa ní raibh caonaí ann.
5 Levantáronse pues en el principio de la noche, para irse al campo de los Siros; y llegando á las primeras estancias de los Siros, no había allí hombre.
5 Und sie machten sich in der Frühe auf, daß sie zum Heer der Syrer kämen. Und da sie vorn an den Ort des Heeres kamen, siehe, da war niemand.
6 For the Lord had made the sound of carriages and horses, and the noise of a great army, come to the ears of the Aramaeans, so that they said to one another, Truly, the king of Israel has got the kings of the Hittites and of the Egyptians for a price to make an attack on us.
6 Le Seigneur avait fait entendre dans le camp des Syriens un bruit de chars et un bruit de chevaux, le bruit d'une grande armée, et ils s'étaient dit l'un à l'autre: Voici, le roi d'Israël a pris à sa solde contre nous les rois des Héthiens et les rois des Égyptiens pour venir nous attaquer.
6 Mar thug an Tiarna ar na hArámaigh ina longfort fuaim carbad agus capall agus geoin armála móire a chloisteáil; agus dúradar le chéile: “Féach! rinne rí Iosrael na ríthe Hiteacha a fhostú le troid inár n‑aghaidh, agus ríthe na hÉigipte le sinn a ionsaí.”
6 Porque el Señor había hecho que en el campo de los Siros se oyese estruendo de carros, ruido de caballos, y estrépito de grande ejército; y dijéronse los unos á los otros: He aquí el rey de Israel ha pagado contra nosotros á los reyes de los Heteos, y á los reyes de los Egipcios, para que vengan contra nosotros.
6 Denn der HERR hatte die Syrer lassen hören ein Geschrei von Rossen, Wagen und großer Heereskraft, daß sie untereinander sprachen: Siehe, der König Israels hat wider uns gedingt die Könige der Hethiter und die Könige der Ägypter, daß sie über uns kommen sollen.
7 So they got up and went in flight, in the half light, without their tents or their horses or their asses or any of their goods; they went in flight, fearing for their lives.
7 Et ils se levèrent et prirent la fuite au crépuscule, abandonnant leurs tentes, leurs chevaux et leurs ânes, le camp tel qu'il était, et ils s'enfuirent pour sauver leur vie.
7 D'éalaíodar leo dá bhrí sin le titim na hoíche agus theitheadar agus d'fhágadar ansin a mbothanna, a gcapaill, agus a n‑asail; d'fhágadar an longfort díreach mar a bhí sé agus theitheadar lena n‑anam.
7 Y así se habían levantado y huído al principio de la noche, dejando sus tiendas, sus caballos, sus asnos, y el campo como se estaba; y habían huído por salvar las vidas.
7 Und sie machten sich auf und flohen in der Frühe und ließen ihre Hütten, Rosse und Esel im Lager, wie es stand, und flohen mit ihrem Leben davon.
8 And when those lepers came to the outer line of tents, they went into one tent, and had food and drink, and took from it silver and gold and clothing, which they put in a secret place; then they came back and went into another tent from which they took more goods, which they put away in a secret place.
8 Les lépreux, étant arrivés à l'entrée du camp, pénétrèrent dans une tente, mangèrent et burent, et en emportèrent de l'argent, de l'or, et des vêtements, qu'ils allèrent cacher. Ils revinrent, pénétrèrent dans une autre tente, et en emportèrent des objets qu'ils allèrent cacher.
8 Nuair a tháinig na lobhair úd go himeall an champa, chuadar isteach i mboth agus chaitheadar bia agus deoch agus thugadar airgead agus ór agus éidí leo as, agus d'imíodar leo agus chuireadar i bhfolach iad. Ansin d'fhilleadar agus isteach leo i mboth eile agus chreachadar é agus d'imíodar agus chuireadar an chreach i bhfolach. Deireadh le Léigear agus le Gorta
8 Y como los leprosos llegaron á las primeras estancias, entráronse en una tienda, y comieron y bebieron, y tomaron de allí plata, y oro, y vestido, y fueron, y escondiéronlo: y vueltos, entraron en otra tienda, y de allí también tomaron, y fueron, y escondieron.
8 Als nun die Aussätzigen an den Ort kamen, gingen sie in der Hütten eine, aßen und tranken und nahmen Silber, Gold und Kleider und gingen hin und verbargen es und kamen wieder und gingen in eine andere Hütte und nahmen daraus und gingen hin und verbargen es.
9 Then they said to one another, We are not doing right. Today is a day of good news, and we say nothing: if we go on waiting here till the morning, punishment will come to us. So let us go and give the news to those of the king's house.
9 Puis ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Nous n'agissons pas bien! Cette journée est une journée de bonne nouvelle; si nous gardons le silence et si nous attendons jusqu'à la lumière du matin, le châtiment nous atteindra. Venez maintenant, et allons informer la maison du roi.
9 Ansin dúradar le chéile: “Níl sé ceart againn! Seo lá dea-scéil agus seo sinn gan focal asainn! Má fhanaimid go maidin, is cinnte go ndéanfar díoltas orainn; téanam dá bhrí sin; téimis agus tugaimis an dea-scéala go pálás an rí.”
9 Y dijéronse el uno al otro: No hacemos bien: hoy es día de buena nueva, y nosotros callamos: y si esperamos hasta la luz de la mañana, nos alcanzará la maldad. Vamos pues ahora, entremos, y demos la nueva en casa del rey.
9 Aber einer sprach zum andern: Laßt uns nicht also tun; dieser Tag ist ein Tag guter Botschaft. Wo wir das verschweigen und harren, bis daß es lichter Morgen wird, wird unsre Missetat gefunden werden; so laßt uns nun hingehen, daß wir kommen und es ansagen dem Hause des Königs.
10 So they came in, and, crying out to the door-keepers of the town, they gave them the news, saying, We came to the tents of the Aramaeans, and there was no one there and no voice of man, only the horses and the asses in their places, and the tents as they were.
10 Ils partirent, et ils appelèrent les gardes de la porte de la ville, auxquels ils firent ce rapport: Nous sommes entrés dans le camp des Syriens, et voici, il n'y a personne, on n'y entend aucune voix d'homme; il n'y a que des chevaux attachés et des ânes attachés, et les tentes comme elles étaient.
10 D'imíodar leo ansin agus ghlaoigh siad ar ghardaí gheataí na cathrach agus dúirt leo: “Chuamar go longfort na nArámach. Ní raibh duine beo le feiceáil ná le cloisteáil ann, ach na capaill ceangailte, agus na hasail ceangailte, agus na bothanna fágtha mar a bhíodar.”
10 Y vinieron, y dieron voces á los guardas de la puerta de la ciudad, y declaráronles, diciendo: Nosotros fuimos al campo de los Siros, y he aquí que no había allí hombre, ni voz de hombre, sino caballos atados, asnos también atados, y el campo como se estaba.
10 Und da sie kamen, riefen sie am Tor der Stadt und sagten es ihnen an und sprachen: Wir sind zum Lager der Syrer gekommen, und siehe, es ist niemand da und keine Menschenstimme, sondern Rosse und Esel angebunden und die Hütten, wie sie stehen.
11 Then the door-keepers, crying out, gave the news to those inside the king's house.
11 Les gardes de la porte crièrent, et ils transmirent ce rapport à l'intérieur de la maison du roi.
11 Scaip gardaí na ngeataí an dea-scéala de liú, agus fógraíodh laistigh den phálás é.
11 Y los porteros dieron voces, y declaráronlo dentro, en el palacio del rey.
11 Da rief man den Torhütern zu, daß sie es drinnen ansagten im Hause des Königs.
12 Then the king got up in the night and said to his servants, This is my idea of what the Aramaeans have done to us. They have knowledge that we are without food; and so they have gone out of their tents, and are waiting secretly in the open country, saying, When they come out of the town, we will take them living and get into the town.
12 Le roi se leva de nuit, et il dit à ses serviteurs: Je veux vous communiquer ce que nous font les Syriens. Comme ils savent que nous sommes affamés, ils ont quitté le camp pour se cacher dans les champs, et ils se sont dit: Quand ils sortiront de la ville, nous les saisirons vivants, et nous entrerons dans la ville.
12 D'éirigh an rí gan é fós ina lá agus dúirt lena fheidhmeannaigh: “Inseoidh mé daoibh cad tá déanta ag na hArámaigh orainn. Tá fhios acu go bhfuil an gorta ag luí orainn, agus dá bharr sin d'fhágadar an longfort agus chuadar i bhfolach faoin tír á rá leo féin: ‘Nuair a thiocfaidh siad amach as an gcathair, déanfaimid iad a ghabháil ina mbeatha agus rachaimid isteach sa chathair.’ ”
12 Y levantóse el rey de noche, y dijo á sus siervos: Yo os declararé lo que nos han hecho los Siros. Ellos saben que tenemos hambre, y hanse salido de las tiendas y escondídose en el campo, diciendo: Cuando hubieren salido de la ciudad, los tomaremos vivos, y entraremos en la ciudad.
12 Und der König stand auf in der Nacht und sprach zu seinen Knechten: Laßt euch sagen, wie die Syrer mit uns umgehen. Sie wissen, daß wir Hunger leiden, und sind aus dem Lager gegangen, daß sie sich im Felde verkröchen, und denken: Wenn sie aus der Stadt gehen, wollen wir sie lebendig greifen und in die Stadt kommen.
13 And one of his servants said in answer, Send men and let them take five of the horses which we still have in the town; if they keep their lives they will be the same as those of Israel who are still living here; if they come to their death they will be the same as all those of Israel who have gone to destruction: let us send and see.
13 L'un des serviteurs du roi répondit: Que l'on prenne cinq des chevaux qui restent encore dans la ville, -ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui y est restée, ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui dépérit, -et envoyons voir ce qui se passe.
13 D'fhreagair duine dá fheidhmeannaigh, “Tógtar cúig cinn de na capaill atá fágtha fós againn - gheobhadh an dream atá fágtha anseo bás chomh maith ar aon dul leis an slua mór eile d'Iosrael a fuair bás cheana féin - agus cuirimis dream ar aghaidh leo agus feicidís.”
13 Entonces respondió uno de sus siervos, y dijo: Tomen ahora cinco de los caballos que han quedado en la ciudad, (porque ellos también son como toda la multitud de Israel que ha quedado en ella; también ellos son como toda la multitud de Israel que ha perecido;) y enviemos, y veamos qué hay.
13 Da antwortete seiner Knechte einer und sprach: Man nehme fünf Rosse von denen, die noch drinnen sind übriggeblieben. Siehe, es wird ihnen gehen, wie aller Menge Israels, so drinnen übriggeblieben oder schon dahin ist. Die laßt uns senden und sehen.
14 So they took two horsemen; and the king sent them after the army of the Aramaeans, saying, Go and see.
14 On prit deux chars avec les chevaux, et le roi envoya des messagers sur les traces de l'armée des Syriens, en disant: Allez et voyez.
14 Thógadar dhá chuingir carbaid agus chuir an rí i ndiaidh sluaite Arám iad á rá: “Téigí agus feicigí.”
14 Tomaron pues dos caballos de un carro, y envió el rey tras el campo de los Siros, diciendo: Id, y ved.
14 Da nahmen sie zwei Wagen mit Rossen, und der König sandte sie dem Heere der Syrer nach und sprach: Ziehet hin und sehet!
15 And they went after them as far as Jordan; and all the road was covered with clothing and vessels dropped by the Aramaeans in their flight. So those who were sent went back and gave the news to the king.
15 Ils allèrent après eux jusqu'au Jourdain; et voici, toute la route était pleine de vêtements et d'objets que les Syriens avaient jetés dans leur précipitation. Les messagers revinrent, et le rapportèrent au roi.
15 Leanadar a lorg chomh fada leis an Iordáin, agus, féach! bhí éidí agus fearais a chaith na hArámaigh uathu le teann deabhaidh caite ar feadh an bhealaigh go léir. D'fhill an lucht braite leis an scéala sin don rí.
15 Y ellos fueron, y siguiéronlos hasta el Jordán: y he aquí, todo el camino estaba lleno de vestidos y enseres que los Siros habían arrojado con la premura. Y volvieron los mensajeros, é hiciéronlo saber al rey.
15 Und da sie ihnen nachzogen bis an den Jordan, siehe, da lag der Weg voll Kleider und Geräte, welche die Syrer von sich geworfen hatten, da sie eilten. Und da die Boten wiederkamen und sagten es dem König an,
16 Then the people went out and took the goods from the tents of the Aramaeans. So a measure of good meal was to be had for the price of a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, as the Lord had said.
16 Le peuple sortit, et pilla le camp des Syriens. Et l'on eut une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle et deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle, selon la parole de l'Éternel.
16 Ansin ghabh na daoine amach agus rinneadar longfort na nArámach a chreachadh. Bhí tomhas den phlúr is míne ar díol ar sheicil agus dhá thomhas eorna ar sheicil mar a dúirt an Tiarna a bheadh.
16 Entonces el pueblo salió, y saquearon el campo de los Siros. Y fué vendido un seah de flor de harina por un siclo, y dos seah de cebada por un siclo, conforme á la palabra de Jehová.
16 ging das Volk hinaus und beraubte das Lager der Syrer. Und es galt ein Scheffel Semmelmehl einen Silberling und zwei Scheffel Gerste auch einen Silberling nach dem Wort des HERRN.
17 And the king gave authority to that captain, on whose arm he was supported, to have control over the doorway into the town; but he was crushed to death there under the feet of the people, as the man of God had said when the king went down to him.
17 Le roi avait remis la garde de la porte à l'officier sur la main duquel il s'appuyait; mais cet officier fut écrasé à la porte par le peuple et il mourut, selon la parole qu'avait prononcée l'homme de Dieu quand le roi était descendu vers lui.
17 An feidhmeannach a bhí mar theannta ag an rí, bhí sé ceaptha aige mar chaptaen ar gharda an gheata, ach shatail na daoine air i mbéal an gheata agus fuair sé bás faoi mar a thairngir an giolla Dé nuair a tháinig an rí anuas chuige.
17 Y el rey puso á la puerta a aquel príncipe sobre cuya mano él se apoyaba: y atropellóle el pueblo á la entrada, y murió, conforme á lo que había dicho el varón de Dios, lo que habló cuando el rey descendió á él.
17 Aber der König bestellte den Ritter, auf dessen Hand er sich lehnte, unter das Tor. Und das Volk zertrat ihn im Tor, daß er starb, wie der Mann Gottes geredet hatte, da der König zu ihm hinabkam.
18 So the words of the man of God came true, which he said to the king: Two measures of barley will be offered for the price of a shekel and a measure of good meal for a shekel, tomorrow about this time in the market-place of Samaria.
18 L'homme de Dieu avait dit alors au roi: On aura deux mesures d'orge pour un sicle et une mesure de fleur de farine pour un sicle, demain, à cette heure, à la porte de Samarie.
18 [Nuair a dúirt an giolla Dé leis an rí: “Beidh dhá thomhas eorna ar díol ar sheicil, agus tomhas den phlúr is míne ar sheicil um an dtaca seo amárach ag geata na Samáire,”
18 Aconteció pues de la manera que el varón de Dios había hablado al rey, diciendo: Dos seah de cebada por un siclo, y el seah de flor de harina será vendido por un siclo mañana á estas horas, á la puerta de Samaria.
18 Und es geschah, wie der Mann Gottes dem König gesagt hatte, da er sprach: Morgen um diese Zeit werden zwei Scheffel Gerste einen Silberling gelten und ein Scheffel Semmelmehl einen Silberling unter dem Tor zu Samaria,
19 And that captain said to the man of God, Even if the Lord made windows in heaven, would such a thing be possible? And he said to him, Your eyes will see it, but you will not have a taste of the food.
19 Et l'officier avait répondu à l'homme de Dieu: Quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres au ciel, pareille chose arriverait-elle? Et Élisée avait dit: Tu le verras de tes yeux; mais tu n'en mangeras point.
19 d'fhreagair an feidhmeannach an giolla Dé: “Fiú dá ndéanfadh an Tiarna fuinneoga sa spéir arbh fhéidir é sin a theacht i gcrích?” Agus dúirt seisean: “Feicfidh tú é le do shúile cinn, ach ní íosfaidh tú greim de.”
19 A lo cual aquel príncipe había respondido al varón de Dios, diciendo: Aunque Jehová hiciese ventanas en el cielo, ¿pudiera ser eso? Y él dijo: He aquí tú lo verás con tus ojos, mas no comerás de ello.
19 und der Ritter dem Mann Gottes antwortete und sprach: Siehe, wenn der HERR Fenster am Himmel machte, wie möchte solches geschehen? Er aber sprach: Siehe, mit deinen Augen wirst du es sehen, und wirst nicht davon essen!
20 And such was his fate; for he was crushed to death under the feet of the people, in the doorway into the town.
20 C'est en effet ce qui lui arriva: il fut écrasé à la porte par le peuple, et il mourut.
