1 Now a certain woman, the wife of one of the sons of the prophets, came crying to Elisha and said, Your servant my husband is dead; and to your knowledge he was a worshipper of the Lord; but now, the creditor has come to take my two children as servants in payment of his debt.
1 Une femme d'entre les femmes des fils des prophètes cria à Élisée, en disant: Ton serviteur mon mari est mort, et tu sais que ton serviteur craignait l'Éternel; or le créancier est venu pour prendre mes deux enfants et en faire ses esclaves.
1 Rinne bean duine de bhráithreachas na bhfáithe achainí chun Eilíseá. “Tá do shearbhónta, m'fhear céile, marbh,” ar sí, “agus tá a fhios agat cad é mar urraim a bhí ag do shearbhónta don Tiarna. Tá fear na bhfiach tagtha chun mo bheirt leanbh a bhreith leis le bheith ina ndaoráin aige.”
1 Una mujer, de las mujeres de los hijos de los profetas, clamó á Eliseo, diciendo: Tu siervo mi marido es muerto; y tú sabes que tu siervo era temeroso de Jehová: y ha venido el acreedor para tomarse dos hijos míos por siervos.
1 Und es schrie ein Weib unter den Weibern der Kinder der Propheten zu Elisa und sprach: Dein Knecht, mein Mann, ist gestorben, so weißt du, daß er, dein Knecht, den HERRN fürchtete; nun kommt der Schuldherr und will meine beiden Kinder nehmen zu leibeigenen Knechten.
2 Then Elisha said to her, What am I to do for you? say now, what have you in the house? And she said, Your servant has nothing in the house but a pot of oil.
2 Élisée lui dit: Que puis-je faire pour toi? Dis-moi, qu'as-tu à la maison? Elle répondit: Ta servante n'a rien du tout à la maison qu'un vase d'huile.
2 Dúirt Eilíseá léi: “Céard a dhéanfaidh mé duit? Céard atá sa teach agat, inis dom?” “Níl sa teach ag do shearbhónta ach crúiscín ola,” d'fhreagair sí.
2 Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿Qué te haré yo? Declárame qué tienes en casa. Y ella dijo: Tu sierva ninguna cosa tiene en casa, sino una botija de aceite.
2 Elisa sprach zu ihr: Was soll ich dir tun? Sage mir, was hast du im Hause? Sie sprach: Deine Magd hat nichts im Hause denn einen Ölkrug.
3 Then he said, Go out to all your neighbours and get vessels, a very great number of them.
3 Et il dit: Va demander au dehors des vases chez tous tes voisins, des vases vides, et n'en demande pas un petit nombre.
3 Ansin dúirt sé léi: “Téigh amach agus faigh iasacht crúscaí ó do chomharsana, crúscaí folmha, agus go leor díobh.
3 Y él le dijo: Ve, y pide para ti vasos prestados de todos tus vecinos, vasos vacíos, no pocos.
3 Er sprach: Gehe hin und bitte draußen von allen deinen Nachbarinnen leere Gefäße, und derselben nicht wenig,
4 Then go in, and, shutting the door on yourself and your sons, put oil into all these vessels, putting on one side the full ones.
4 Quand tu seras rentrée, tu fermeras la porte sur toi et sur tes enfants; tu verseras dans tous ces vases, et tu mettras de côté ceux qui seront pleins.
4 Nuair a thiocfaidh tú ar ais, dún an doras ort féin agus ar do chlann mhac, agus doirt an ola isteach sna crúscaí seo go léir agus cuir gach ceann i leataobh de réir mar a bheidh sé lán.”
4 Entra luego, y cierra la puerta tras ti y tras tus hijos; y echa en todos los vasos, y en estando uno lleno, ponlo aparte.
4 und gehe hinein und schließe die Tür zu hinter dir und deinen Söhnen und gieß in alle Gefäße; und wenn du sie gefüllt hast, so gib sie hin.
5 So she went away, and when the door was shut on her and her sons, they took the vessels to her and she put oil into them.
5 Alors elle le quitta. Elle ferma la porte sur elle et sur ses enfants; ils lui présentaient les vases, et elle versait.
5 D'imigh sí léi ansin agus dhún an doras uirthi féin agus ar a clann mhac; agus shíneadar na crúscaí chuici agus lean sí uirthi ag doirteadh na hola iontu.
5 Y partióse la mujer de él, y cerró la puerta tras sí y tras sus hijos; y ellos le llegaban los vasos, y ella echaba del aceite.
5 Sie ging hin und schloß die Tür zu hinter sich und ihren Söhnen; die brachten ihr die Gefäße zu, so goß sie ein.
6 And when all the vessels were full, she said to her son, Get me another vessel. And he said, There are no more. And the flow of oil was stopped.
6 Lorsque les vases furent pleins, elle dit à son fils: Présente-moi encore un vase. Mais il lui répondit: Il n'y a plus de vase. Et l'huile s'arrêta.
6 Nuair a bhí na crúscaí lán, dúirt sí lena mac: “Sín chugam crúsca eile.” “Níl ceann eile ann,” ar sé léi. Ansin stad an ola.
6 Y como los vasos fueron llenos, dijo á un hijo suyo: Tráeme aún otro vaso. Y él dijo: No hay más vasos. Entonces cesó el aceite.
6 Und da die Gefäße voll waren, sprach sie zu ihrem Sohn: Lange mir noch ein Gefäß her! Er sprach: Es ist kein Gefäß mehr hier. Da stand das Öl.
7 So she came to the man of God and gave him word of what she had done. And he said, Go and get money for the oil and make payment of your debt, and let the rest be for the needs of yourself and your sons.
7 Elle alla le rapporter à l'homme de Dieu, et il dit: Va vendre l'huile, et paie ta dette; et tu vivras, toi et tes fils, de ce qui restera.
7 D'imigh sí léi ansin agus dúirt sí sin leis an ngiolla Dé agús d'fhreagair sé: “Imigh agus díol an ola agus díol d'fhiacha agus féadfaidh tú féin agus do chlann maireachtáil ar an bhfuílleach.” Leanbh Beo Arís
7 Vino ella luego, y contólo al varón de Dios, el cual dijo: Ve, y vende el aceite, y paga á tus acreedores; y tú y tus hijos vivid de lo que quedare.
7 Und sie ging hin und sagte es dem Mann Gottes an. Er sprach: Gehe hin, verkaufe das Öl und bezahle deinen Schuldherrn; du aber und deine Söhne nähret euch von dem übrigen.
8 Now there came a day when Elisha went to Shunem, and there was a woman of high position living there, who made him come in and have a meal with her. And after that, every time he went by, he went into her house for a meal.
8 Un jour Élisée passait par Sunem. Il y avait là une femme de distinction, qui le pressa d'accepter à manger. Et toutes les fois qu'il passait, il se rendait chez elle pour manger.
8 Lá dá raibh Eilíseá ar a bhealach go Siúnaem, chuir bean uasal a bhí ina cónaí ann tathant air fanacht agus tráth bia a bheith aige ann. As sin amach dhéanadh sé moill i gcónaí le haghaidh béile nuair a thagadh sé an bealach sin.
8 Y aconteció también que un día pasaba Eliseo por Sunem; y había allí una mujer principal, la cual le constriñó á que comiese del pan: y cuando por allí pasaba, veníase á su casa á comer del pan.
8 Und es begab sich zu der Zeit, daß Elisa ging gen Sunem. Daselbst war eine reiche Frau; die hielt ihn, daß er bei ihr aß. Und so oft er daselbst durchzog, kehrte er zu ihr ein und aß bei ihr.
9 And she said to her husband, Now I see that this is a holy man of God, who comes by day after day.
9 Elle dit à son mari: Voici, je sais que cet homme qui passe toujours chez nous est un saint homme de Dieu.
9 Dúirt sí lena fear céile: “Féach, táim cinnte gur fear naofa le Dia an fear seo a bhíonn ag síorthaisteal an bealach seo againne.
9 Y ella dijo á su marido: He aquí ahora, yo entiendo que éste que siempre pasa por nuestra casa, es varón de Dios santo.
9 Und sie sprach zu ihrem Mann: Siehe, ich merke, daß dieser Mann Gottes heilig ist, der immerdar hier durchgeht.
10 So let us make a little room on the wall; and put a bed there for him, and a table and a seat and a light; so that when he comes to us, he will be able to go in there.
10 Faisons une petite chambre haute avec des murs, et mettons-y pour lui un lit, une table, un siège et un chandelier, afin qu'il s'y retire quand il viendra chez nous.
10 Tógaimis seomra beag ar an díon dó agus cuirimis leaba ann faoina choinne agus bord agus cathaoir agus lampa; uair ar bith dá dtagann sé chugainn, is féidir leis a scíste a dhéanamh ann.”
10 Yo te ruego que hagas una pequeña cámara de paredes, y pongamos en ella cama, y mesa, y silla, y candelero, para que cuando viniere á nosotros, se recoja en ella.
10 Laß uns ihm eine kleine bretterne Kammer oben machen und ein Bett, Tisch, Stuhl und Leuchter hineinsetzen, auf daß er, wenn er zu uns kommt, dahin sich tue.
11 Now one day, when he had gone there, he went into the little room and took his rest there.
11 Élisée, étant revenu à Sunem, se retira dans la chambre haute et y coucha.
11 Lá dá dtáinig sé, isteach leis sa seomra in airde agus chuaigh sé a luí.
11 Y aconteció que un día vino él por allí, y recogióse en aquella cámara, y durmió en ella.
11 Und es begab sich zu der Zeit, daß er hineinkam und legte sich oben in die Kammer und schlief darin
12 And he said to Gehazi, his servant, Send for this Shunammite. So in answer to his voice she came before him.
12 Il dit à Guéhazi, son serviteur: Appelle cette Sunamite. Guéhazi l'appela, et elle se présenta devant lui.
12 Dúirt sé le Géichizí a shearbhónta: “Glaoigh ar an Siúnaemach seo againn.” Ghlaoigh sé uirthi agus tháinig sí agus sheas os a chomhair.
12 Entonces dijo á Giezi su criado: Llama á esta Sunamita. Y como él la llamó, pareció ella delante de él.
12 und sprach zu seinem Diener Gehasi: Rufe die Sunamitin! Und da er sie rief, trat sie vor ihn.
13 And he said to him, Now say to her, See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? will you have any request made for you to the king or the captain of the army? But she said, I am living among my people.
13 Et Élisée dit à Guéhazi: Dis-lui: Voici, tu nous as montré tout cet empressement; que peut-on faire pour toi? Faut-il parler pour toi au roi ou au chef de l'armée? Elle répondit: J'habite au milieu de mon peuple.
13 Dúirt Eilíseá: “Abair é seo léi: ‘Féach, rinne tú an cúram seo go léir dínne, cad is féidir dúinn a dhéanamh duit? An bhfuil aon ní ar mhaith leat a déarfaí ar do shon leis an rí nó le ceann feadhna an airm?’ ” Ach d'fhreagair sí: “I measc mo mhuintire féin a mhairimse.”
13 Y dijo él á Giezi: Dile: He aquí tú has estado solícita por nosotros con todo este esmero: ¿qué quieres que haga por ti? ¿has menester que hable por ti al rey, ó al general del ejército? Y ella respondió: Yo habito en medio de mi pueblo.
13 Er sprach zu ihm: Sage ihr: Siehe, du hast uns allen diesen Dienst getan; was soll ich dir tun? Hast du eine Sache an den König oder an den Feldhauptmann? Sie sprach: Ich wohne unter meinem Volk.
14 So he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi made answer, Still there is this, she has no son and her husband is old.
14 Et il dit: Que faire pour elle? Guéhazi répondit: Mais, elle n'a point de fils, et son mari est vieux.
14 “Cad is féidir a dhéanamh ar a son seo, más ea?” a d'fhiafraigh sé. D'freagair Géichizí: “Leoga, níl mac ar bith aici, agus tá a fear céile aosta.”

15 Then he said, Send for her. And in answer to his voice she took her place at the door.

15 Dijo entonces: Llámala. Y él la llamó, y ella se paró á la puerta.
15 Er sprach: Rufe sie! Und da er sie rief, trat sie in die Tür.
16 And Elisha said, At this time in the coming year you will have a son in your arms. And she said, No, my lord, O man of God, do not say what is false to your servant.
16 Élisée lui dit: A cette même époque, l'année prochaine, tu embrasseras un fils. Et elle dit: Non! mon seigneur, homme de Dieu, ne trompe pas ta servante!
16 “Bliain ón am seo,” ar seisean, “beidh mac i do bhaclainn agat.” “Cuir uait, a thiarna, a ghiolla Dé; ná hinis bréag do d'ionailt.”
16 Y él le dijo: A este tiempo según el tiempo de la vida, abrazarás un hijo. Y ella dijo: No, señor mío, varón de Dios, no hagas burla de tu sierva.
16 Und er sprach: Um diese Zeit über ein Jahr sollst du einen Sohn herzen. Sie sprach: Ach nicht, mein Herr, du Mann Gottes! lüge deiner Magd nicht!
17 Then the woman became with child and gave birth to a son at the time named, in the year after, as Elisha had said to her.
17 Cette femme devint enceinte, et elle enfanta un fils à la même époque, l'année suivante, comme Élisée lui avait dit.
17 Ach ghabh an bhean gin agus rug sí mac um an dtaca sin an t‑earrach a bhí chucu faoi mar a dúirt Eilíseá léi.
17 Mas la mujer concibió, y parió un hijo á aquel tiempo que Eliseo le había dicho, según el tiempo de la vida.
17 Und die Frau ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn um dieselbe Zeit über ein Jahr, wie ihr Elisa geredet hatte.
18 Now one day, when the child was older, he went out to his father to where the grain was being cut.
18 L'enfant grandit. Et un jour qu'il était allé trouver son père vers les moissonneurs,
18 Nuair a bhí an leanbh fásta chuaigh sé amach lá chuig a athair a bhí in éineacht leis na buanaithe.
18 Y como el niño fué grande, aconteció que un día salió á su padre, á los segadores.
18 Da aber das Kind groß ward, begab sich's, daß es hinaus zu seinem Vater zu den Schnittern ging
19 And he said to his father, My head, my head! And the father said to a servant, Take him in to his mother.
19 il dit à son père: Ma tête! ma tête! Le père dit à son serviteur: Porte-le à sa mère.
19 Ar seisean lena athair: “Ó mo cheann, mo cheann!” D'iarr an t‑athair ar dhuine de na searbhóntaí é a iompar chuig a mháthair.
19 Y dijo á su padre: ¡Mi cabeza, mi cabeza! Y él dijo á un criado: Llévalo á su madre.
19 und sprach zu seinem Vater: O mein Haupt, mein Haupt! Er sprach zu seinem Knecht: Bringe ihn zu seiner Mutter!
20 And he took him in to his mother, and she took him on her knees and kept him there till the middle of the day, when his life went from him.
20 Le serviteur l'emporta et l'amena à sa mère. Et l'enfant resta sur les genoux de sa mère jusqu'à midi, puis il mourut.

20 Y habiéndole él tomado, y traídolo á su madre, estuvo sentado sobre sus rodillas hasta medio día, y murióse.
20 Und er nahm ihn und brachte ihn zu seiner Mutter, und sie setzte ihn auf ihren Schoß bis an den Mittag; da starb er.
21 Then she went up and put him on the bed of the man of God, shutting the door on him, and went out.
21 Elle monta, le coucha sur le lit de l'homme de Dieu, ferma la porte sur lui, et sortit.
21 Chuaigh sí in airde staighre agus d'fhág ina luí é ar leaba Eilíseá, giolla Dé. Dhún sí an doras air agus d'imigh amach.
21 Ella entonces subió, y púsolo sobre la cama del varón de Dios, y cerrándole la puerta, salióse.
21 Und sie ging hinauf und legte ihn aufs Bett des Mannes Gottes, schloß zu und ging hinaus
22 And she said to her husband, Send me one of the servants and one of the asses so that I may go quickly to the man of God and come back again.
22 Elle appela son mari, et dit: Envoie-moi, je te prie, un des serviteurs et une des ânesses; je veux aller en hâte vers l'homme de Dieu, et je reviendrai.
22 Chuir sí fios ar a fear agus dúirt: “Cuir duine de na searbhóntaí chugam le ceann de na hasail. Caithfidh mé brostú liom go dtí an giolla Dé agus ar ais arís.”
22 Llamando luego á su marido, díjole: Ruégote que envíes conmigo á alguno de los criados y una de las asnas, para que yo vaya corriendo al varón de Dios, y vuelva.
22 und rief ihren Mann und sprach: Sende mir der Knechte einen und eine Eselin; ich will zu dem Mann Gottes, und wiederkommen.
23 And he said, Why are you going to him today? it is not a new moon or a Sabbath. But she said, It is well.
23 Et il dit: Pourquoi veux-tu aller aujourd'hui vers lui? Ce n'est ni nouvelle lune ni sabbat. Elle répondit: Tout va bien.
23 “Cad ab áil leat chuige inniu?” a d'fhiafraigh sé, “níl sé ina ré nua ná ina shabóid.” Ach d'fhreagair sí: “Tá gach ní ina cheart.”
23 Y él dijo: ¿Para qué has de ir á él hoy? No es nueva luna, ni sábado. Y ella respondió: Paz.
23 Er sprach: Warum willst du zu ihm? Ist doch heute nicht Neumond noch Sabbat. Sie sprach: Es ist gut.
24 Then she made the ass ready and said to her servant, Keep driving on; do not make a stop without orders from me.
24 Puis elle fit seller l'ânesse, et dit à son serviteur: Mène et pars; ne m'arrête pas en route sans que je te le dise.
24 Ansin chuir sí an diallait ar an asal agus dúirt lena searbhónta: “Tiomáin leat! Ar aghaidh leat! Ná moilligh dom nó go ndéarfaidh mé leat é.”
24 Después hizo enalbardar una borrica, y dijo al mozo: Guía y anda; y no me hagas detener para que suba, sino cuando yo te lo dijere.
24 Und sie sattelte die Eselin und sprach zum Knecht: Treibe fort und säume nicht mit dem Reiten, wie ich dir sage!
25 So she went, and came to Mount Carmel, to the man of God. And when the man of God saw her coming in his direction, he said to Gehazi, his servant, See, there is the Shunammite;
25 Elle partit donc et se rendit vers l'homme de Dieu sur la montagne du Carmel. L'homme de Dieu, l'ayant aperçue de loin, dit à Guéhazi, son serviteur: Voici cette Sunamite!
25 Chuir sí chun bóthair agus tháinig go dtí an giolla Dé ar Shliabh Chairmeil. Nuair a chonaic seisean uaidh í dúirt sé le Géichizí, a shearbhónta: “Féach, seo chugainn ár Siúnaemach!
25 Partióse pues, y vino al varón de Dios al monte del Carmelo. Y cuando el varón de Dios la vió de lejos, dijo á su criado Giezi: He aquí la Sunamita:
25 Also zog sie hin und kam zu dem Mann Gottes auf den Berg Karmel. Als aber der Mann Gottes sie kommen sah, sprach er zu seinem Diener Gehasi: Siehe, die Sunamitin ist da!
26 Go quickly to her, and on meeting her say to her, Are you well? and your husband and the child, are they well? And she said in answer, All is well.
26 Maintenant, cours donc à sa rencontre, et dis-lui: Te portes-tu bien? Ton mari et ton enfant se portent-ils bien? Elle répondit: Bien.
26 Rith gan mhoill ina coinne agus cuir ceist uirthi: ‘An bhfuil tú ar fónamh? An bhfuil d'fhear céile ar fónamh? An bhfuil an leanbh ar fónamh?’ ” D'fhreagair sí: “Tá.”
26 Ruégote que vayas ahora corriendo á recibirla, y dile: ¿Tienes paz? ¿y tu marido, y tu hijo? Y ella dijo: Paz.
26 So laufe ihr nun entgegen und frage sie, ob's ihr und ihrem Mann und Sohn wohl gehe. Sie sprach: Wohl.
27 And when she came to where the man of God was on the hill, she put her hands round his feet; and Gehazi came near with the purpose of pushing her away; but the man of God said, Let her be, for her soul is bitter in her; and the Lord has kept it secret from me, and has not given me word of it.
27 Et dès qu'elle fut arrivée auprès de l'homme de Dieu sur la montagne, elle embrassa ses pieds. Guéhazi s'approcha pour la repousser. Mais l'homme de Dieu dit: Laisse-la, car son âme est dans l'amertume, et l'Éternel me l'a caché et ne me l'a point fait connaître.
27 Nuair a tháinig sí go dtí an giolla Dé ansiúd ar an sliabh, rug sí greim ar a chosa. Tháinig Géichizí lena brú i leataobh, ach dúirt an giolla Dé: “Lig di mar tá buaireamh ina croí, agus cheil an Tiarna orm é gan é a rá liom.”
27 Y luego que llegó al varón de Dios en el monte, asió de sus pies. Y llegóse Giezi para quitarla; mas el varón de Dios le dijo: Déjala, porque su alma está en amargura, y Jehová me ha encubierto el motivo, y no me lo ha revelado.
27 Da sie aber zu dem Mann Gottes auf den Berg kam, hielt sie ihn bei seinen Füßen; Gehasi aber trat herzu, daß er sie abstieße. Aber der Mann Gottes sprach: Laß sie! denn ihre Seele ist betrübt, und der HERR hat mir's verborgen und nicht angezeigt.
28 Then she said, Did I make a request to my lord for a son? did I not say, Do not give me false words?
28 Alors elle dit: Ai-je demandé un fils à mon seigneur? N'ai-je pas dit: Ne me trompe pas?
28 Ansin dúirt sí: “Ar iarras mac ar mo thiarna? Nár dhúirt mé: ‘Ná meall mé’?”
28 Y ella dijo: ¿Pedí yo hijo á mi señor? ¿No dije yo, que no me burlases?
28 Wann habe ich einen Sohn gebeten von meinem Herrn? sagte ich nicht du solltest mich nicht täuschen?
29 Then he said to Gehazi, Make yourself ready, and take my stick in your hand, and go: if you come across anyone on the way, give him no blessing, and if anyone gives you a blessing, give him no answer. And put my stick on the child's face.
29 Et Élisée dit à Guéhazi: Ceins tes reins, prends mon bâton dans ta main, et pars. Si tu rencontres quelqu'un, ne le salue pas; et si quelqu'un te salue, ne lui réponds pas. Tu mettras mon bâton sur le visage de l'enfant.
29 “Cuir do chrios thar do choim,” ar sé ansin le Géichizí, “agus tóg mo bhata i do láimh, agus imigh. Má bhuaileann tú le haon duine, ná beannaigh dó; agus má bheannaíonn aon duine duit, ná tabhair freagra air; agus leag mo bhata ar aghaidh an linbh.”
29 Entonces dijo él á Giezi: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma mi bordón en tu mano, y ve; y si alguno te encontrare, no lo saludes; y si alguno te saludare, no le respondas: y pondrás mi bordón sobre el rostro del niño.
29 Er sprach zu Gehasi: Gürte deine Lenden und nimm meinen Stab in deine Hand und gehe hin (so dir jemand begegnet, so grüße ihn nicht, und grüßt dich jemand, so danke ihm nicht), und lege meinen Stab auf des Knaben Antlitz.
30 But the mother of the child said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not go back without you. So he got up and went with her.
30 La mère de l'enfant dit: L'Éternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Et il se leva et la suivit.
30 Ansin dúirt máthair an linbh: “Dar an Tiarna beo agus dar do bheo féin, ní imeoidh mé uait.” Agus d'éirigh sé dá bhrí sin agus lean í.
30 Y dijo la madre del niño: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré.
30 Die Mutter des Knaben aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und deine Seele, ich lasse nicht von dir! Da machte er sich auf und ging ihr nach.
31 And Gehazi went on before them and put the stick on the child's face; but there was no voice, and no one gave attention. So he went back, and meeting him gave him the news, saying, The child is not awake.
31 Guéhazi les avait devancés, et il avait mis le bâton sur le visage de l'enfant; mais il n'y eut ni voix ni signe d'attention. Il s'en retourna à la rencontre d'Élisée, et lui rapporta la chose, en disant: L'enfant ne s'est pas réveillé.

31 Gehasi aber ging vor ihnen hin und legte den Stab dem Knaben aufs Antlitz; da war aber keine Stimme noch Fühlen. Und er ging wiederum ihnen entgegen und zeigte ihm an und sprach: Der Knabe ist nicht aufgewacht.
32 And when Elisha came into the house he saw the child dead, stretched on his bed.
32 Lorsque Élisée arriva dans la maison, voici, l'enfant était mort, couché sur son lit.

33 So he went in, and shutting the door on the two of them, made prayer to the Lord.

34 Then he got up on the bed, stretching himself out on the child, and put his mouth on the child's mouth, his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands; and the child's body became warm.
34 Il monta, et se coucha sur l'enfant; il mit sa bouche sur sa bouche, ses yeux sur ses yeux, ses mains sur ses mains, et il s'étendit sur lui. Et la chair de l'enfant se réchauffa.

34 Después subió, y echóse sobre el niño, poniendo su boca sobre la boca de él, y sus ojos sobre sus ojos, y sus manos sobre las manos suyas; así se tendió sobre él, y calentóse la carne del joven.
34 und stieg hinauf und legte sich auf das Kind und legte seinen Mund auf des Kindes Mund und seine Augen auf seine Augen und seine Hände auf seine Hände und breitete sich also über ihn, daß des Kindes Leib warm ward.
35 Then he came back, and after walking once through the house and back, he went up, stretching himself out on the child seven times; and the child's eyes became open.
35 Élisée s'éloigna, alla çà et là par la maison, puis remonta et s'étendit sur l'enfant. Et l'enfant éternua sept fois, et il ouvrit les yeux.

35 Volviéndose luego, paséose por la casa á una parte y á otra, y después subió, y tendióse sobre él; y el joven estornudó siete veces, y abrió sus ojos.
35 Er aber stand wieder auf und ging im Haus einmal hierher und daher und stieg hinauf und breitete sich über ihn. Da schnaubte der Knabe siebenmal; darnach tat der Knabe seine Augen auf.
36 And he gave orders to Gehazi, and said, Send for the Shunammite. And she came in answer to his voice. And he said, Take up your son.
36 Élisée appela Guéhazi, et dit: Appelle cette Sunamite. Guéhazi l'appela, et elle vint vers Élisée, qui dit: Prends ton fils!

37 And she came in, and went down on her face to the earth at his feet; then she took her son in her arms and went out.

38 And Elisha went back to Gilgal, now there was very little food in the land; and the sons of the prophets were seated before him. And he said to his servant, Put the great pot on the fire, and make soup for the sons of the prophets.
38 Élisée revint à Guilgal, et il y avait une famine dans le pays. Comme les fils des prophètes étaient assis devant lui, il dit à son serviteur: Mets le grand pot, et fais cuire un potage pour les fils des prophètes.

38 Da aber Elisa wieder gen Gilgal kam, ward Teuerung im Lande, und die Kinder der Propheten wohnten vor ihm. Und er sprach zu seinem Diener: Setze zu einen großen Topf und koche ein Gemüse für die Kinder der Propheten!
39 And one went out into the field to get green plants and saw a vine of the field, and pulling off the fruit of it till the fold of his robe was full, he came back and put the fruit, cut up small, into the pot of soup, having no idea what it was.
39 L'un d'eux sortit dans les champs pour cueillir des herbes; il trouva de la vigne sauvage et il y cueillit des coloquintes sauvages, plein son vêtement. Quand il rentra, il les coupa en morceaux dans le pot où était le potage, car on ne les connaissait pas.

39 Y salió uno al campo á coger hierbas, y halló una como parra montés, y cogió de ella una faldada de calabazas silvestres: y volvió, y cortólas en la olla del potaje: porque no sabía lo que era.
39 Da ging einer aufs Feld, daß er Kraut läse, und fand wilde Ranken und las davon Koloquinten sein Kleid voll; und da er kam, schnitt er's in den Topf zum Gemüse, denn sie kannten es nicht.
40 Then they gave the men soup from the pot. And while they were drinking the soup, they gave a cry, and said, O man of God, there is death in the pot; and they were not able to take any more food.
40 On servit à manger à ces hommes; mais dès qu'ils eurent mangé du potage, ils s'écrièrent: La mort est dans le pot, homme de Dieu! Et ils ne purent manger.

40 Und da sie es ausschütteten für die Männer, zu essen, und sie von dem Gemüse aßen, schrieen sie und sprachen: O Mann Gottes, der Tod im Topf! denn sie konnten es nicht essen.
41 But he said, Get some meal. And he put it into the pot, and said, Now give it to the people so that they may have food. And there was nothing bad in the pot.
41 Élisée dit: Prenez de la farine. Il en jeta dans le pot, et dit: Sers à ces gens, et qu'ils mangent. Et il n'y avait plus rien de mauvais dans le pot.

42 Now a man came from Baal-shalishah with an offering of first-fruits for the man of God, twenty barley cakes and garden fruit in his bag. And he said, Give these to the people for food.
42 Un homme arriva de Baal Schalischa. Il apporta du pain des prémices à l'homme de Dieu, vingt pains d'orge, et des épis nouveaux dans son sac. Élisée dit: Donne à ces gens, et qu'ils mangent.

42 Es kam aber ein Mann von Baal-Salisa und brachte dem Mann Gottes Erstlingsbrot, nämlich zwanzig Gerstenbrote, und neues Getreide in seinem Kleid. Er aber sprach: Gib's dem Volk, daß sie essen!
43 But his servant said, How am I to put this before a hundred men? But he said, Give it to the people for food; for the Lord says, There will be food for them and some over.
43 Son serviteur répondit: Comment pourrais-je en donner à cent personnes? Mais Élisée dit: Donne à ces gens, et qu'ils mangent; car ainsi parle l'Éternel: On mangera, et on en aura de reste.

43 Y respondió su sirviente: ¿Cómo he de poner esto delante de cien hombres? Mas él tornó á decir: Da á la gente para que coman, porque así ha dicho Jehová: Comerán, y sobrará.
43 Sein Diener sprach: Wie soll ich hundert Mann von dem geben? Er sprach: Gib dem Volk, daß sie essen! Denn so spricht der HERR: Man wird essen, und es wird übrigbleiben.
44 So he put it before them, and they had a meal and there was more than enough, as the Lord had said.
44 Il mit alors les pains devant eux; et ils mangèrent et en eurent de reste, selon la parole de l'Éternel.
