1 Now Ben-hadad, king of Aram, got all his army together, and thirty-two kings with him, and horses and carriages of war; he went up and made war on Samaria, shutting it in.
1 Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, rassembla toute son armée; il avait avec lui trente-deux rois, des chevaux et des chars. Il monta, mit le siège devant Samarie et l'attaqua.

1 Entonces Ben-adad rey de Siria juntó á todo su ejército, y con él treinta y dos reyes, con caballos y carros: y subió, y puso cerco á Samaria, y combatióla.
1 Und Benhadad, der König von Syrien, versammelte alle seine Macht, und waren zweiunddreißig Könige mit ihm und Roß und Wagen, und zog herauf und belagerte Samaria und stritt dawider
2 And he sent representatives into the town to Ahab, king of Israel;
2 Il envoya dans la ville des messagers à Achab, roi d'Israël,
2 Chuir sé teachtairí isteach sa chathair go dtí Acháb rí Iosrael, á rá leis: “Mar seo a deir Bein Hadad:
2 Y envió mensajeros á la ciudad á Achâb rey de Israel, diciendo:
2 und sandte Boten zu Ahab, dem König Israels, in die Stadt
3 And they said to him, Ben-hadad says, Your silver and your gold are mine; and your wives and children are mine.
3 et lui fit dire: Ainsi parle Ben Hadad: Ton argent et ton or sont à moi, tes femmes et tes plus beaux enfants sont à moi.
3 ‘Is liomsa do chuid airgid agus óir; is liomsa togha do mhná agus do leanaí.’ ”
3 Así ha dicho Ben-adad: Tu plata y tu oro es mío, y tus mujeres y tus hijos hermosos son míos.
3 und ließ ihm sagen: So spricht Benhadad: Dein Silber und dein Gold ist mein, und deine Weiber und deine besten Kinder sind auch mein.
4 And the king of Israel sent him an answer saying, As you say, my lord king, I am yours with all I have.
4 Le roi d'Israël répondit: Roi, mon seigneur, comme tu le dis, je suis à toi avec tout ce que j'ai.
4 D'fhreagair rí Iosrael: “De réir mar a deir tú, a thiarna mo rí, is leatsa mise agus a bhfuil agam.”
4 Y el rey de Israel respondió, y dijo: Como tú dices, rey señor mío, yo soy tuyo, y todo lo que tengo.
4 Der König Israels antwortete und sprach: Mein Herr König, wie du geredet hast! Ich bin dein und alles, was ich habe.
5 Then the representatives came back again, and said, These are the words of Ben-hadad: I sent to you saying, Give up to me your silver and your gold, your wives and your children;
5 Les messagers retournèrent, et dirent: Ainsi parle Ben Hadad: Je t'ai fait dire: Tu me livreras ton argent et ton or, tes femmes et tes enfants.
5 D'fhill na teachtairí agus dúradar: “Mar seo a deir Bein Hadad: ‘Seo é an t‑ordú a chuir mé chugat: “Tabhair dom do chuid airgid agus óir, do mhná agus do leanaí.”
5 Y volviendo los mensajeros otra vez, dijeron: Así dijo Ben-adad: Yo te envié á decir: Tu plata y tu oro, y tus mujeres y tus hijos me darás.
5 Und die Boten kamen wieder und sprachen: So spricht Benhadad: Weil ich zu dir gesandt habe und lassen sagen: Dein Silber und dein Gold, deine Weiber und deine Kinder sollst du mir geben,
6 But I will send my servants to you tomorrow about this time, to make a search through your house and the houses of your people, and everything which is pleasing in your eyes they will take away in their hands.
6 J'enverrai donc demain, à cette heure, mes serviteurs chez toi; ils fouilleront ta maison et les maisons de tes serviteurs, ils mettront la main sur tout ce que tu as de précieux, et ils l'emporteront.
6 Bí cinnte de go gcuirfidh mé mo ghiollaí chun do theach agus tithe do shearbhóntaí a chuardach an t‑am seo amárach agus go bhfaighidh siad greim ar gach a dtaitneoidh [leo] agus go dtabharfaidh siad leo iad.’ ”
6 Además mañana á estas horas enviaré yo á ti mis siervos, los cuales escudriñarán tu casa, y las casas de tus siervos; y tomarán con sus manos, y llevarán todo lo precioso que tuvieres.
6 so will ich morgen um diese Zeit meine Knechte zu dir senden, daß sie dein Haus und deiner Untertanen Häuser durchsuchen; und was dir lieblich ist, sollen sie in ihre Hände nehmen und wegtragen.
7 Then the king of Israel sent for all the responsible men of the land, and said, Now will you take note and see the evil purpose of this man: he sent for my wives and my children, my silver and my gold, and I did not keep them back.
7 Le roi d'Israël appela tous les anciens du pays, et il dit: Sentez bien et comprenez que cet homme nous veut du mal; car il m'a envoyé demander mes femmes et mes enfants, mon argent et mon or, et je ne lui avais pas refusé!
7 Chuir rí Iosrael tionól ar sheanóirí uile na tíre agus dúirt: “Is léir daoibh anois mar atá an fear seo ag adhaint trioblóide; chuir sé fios ar mo mhná agus ar mo leanaí, ar mo chuid airgid agus óir, agus níor dhiúltaigh mé dó.”
7 Entonces el rey de Israel llamó á todos los ancianos de la tierra, y díjoles: Entended, y ved ahora cómo éste no busca sino mal: pues que ha enviado á mí por mis mujeres y mis hijos, y por mi plata y por mi oro; y yo no se lo he negado.
7 Da rief der König Israels alle Ältesten des Landes und sprach: Merkt und seht, wie böse er's vornimmt! Er hat zu mir gesandt um meine Weiber und Kinder, Silber und Gold, und ich hab ihm nichts verweigert.
8 And all the responsible men and the people said to him, Do not give attention to him or do what he says.
8 Tous les anciens et tout le peuple dirent à Achab: Ne l'écoute pas et ne consens pas.
8 Agus dúirt na seanóirí agus an pobal ar fad leis: “Ná tabhair aon aird air agus ná déan rud air.”
8 Y todos los ancianos y todo el pueblo le respondieron: No le obedezcas, ni hagas lo que te pide.
8 Da sprachen zu ihm alle Alten und das Volk: Du sollst nicht gehorchen noch bewilligen.
9 So he said to the representatives of Ben-hadad, Say to my lord the king, All the orders you sent the first time I will do; but this thing I may not do. And the representatives went back with this answer.
9 Et il dit aux messagers de Ben Hadad: Dites à mon seigneur le roi: Je ferai tout ce que tu as envoyé demander à ton serviteur la première fois; mais pour cette chose, je ne puis pas la faire. Les messagers s'en allèrent, et lui portèrent la réponse.
9 D'fhreagair sé teachtairí Bein Hadad mar leanas dá bhrí sin: “Abraigí le mo thiarna an rí: ‘Gach ar iarr sibh ar do shearbhónta ar dtús, déanfaidh mé; ach é seo eile, ní féidir dom a dhéanamh.’ ” Agus d'imigh na teachtairí ar ais leis an bhfreagra.
9 Entonces él respondió á los embajadores de Ben-adad: Decid al rey mi señor: Haré todo lo que mandaste á tu siervo al principio; mas esto no lo puedo hacer. Y los embajadores fueron, y diéronle la respuesta.
9 Und er sprach zu den Boten Benhadads: Sagt meinem Herrn, dem König: Alles, was du am ersten entboten hast, will ich tun; aber dies kann ich nicht tun. Und die Boten gingen hin und sagten solches wieder.
10 Then Ben-hadad sent to him, saying, May the gods' punishment be on me if there is enough of the dust of Samaria for all the people at my feet to take some in their hands.
10 Ben Hadad envoya dire à Achab: Que les dieux me traitent dans toute leur rigueur, si la poussière de Samarie suffit pour remplir le creux de la main de tout le peuple qui me suit!
10 Ansin chuir Bein Hadad an teachtaireacht seo chuige: “Go ndéana na déithe a leithéid seo agus a leithéid siúd liom má bhíonn a dhóthain luaithrigh sa tSamáir le go bhfaigheadh gach duine de mo lucht leanúna lán doirn de.”
10 Y Ben-adad tornó á enviarle á decir: Así me hagan los dioses, y así me añadan, que el polvo de Samaria no bastará á los puños de todo el pueblo que me sigue.
10 Da sandte Benhadad zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Die Götter tun mir dies und das, wo der Staub Samarias genug sein soll, daß alles Volk unter mir eine Handvoll davon bringe.
11 And the king of Israel said in answer, Say to him, The time for loud talk is not when a man is putting on his arms, but when he is taking them off.
11 Et le roi d'Israël répondit: Que celui qui revêt une armure ne se glorifie pas comme celui qui la dépose!
11 Ach sé freagra a thug rí Iosrael air: “Sé deir [an seanfhocal]: ‘Ní don té a chuireann a éide chatha uime is dual maíomh, ach don té a bhaineann de í.’ ”
11 Y el rey de Israel respondió, y dijo: Decidle, que no se alabe el que se ciñe, como el que ya se desciñe.
11 Aber der König Israels antwortete und sprach: Sagt: Der den Harnisch anlegt, soll sich nicht rühmen wie der, der ihn hat abgelegt.
12 Now when this answer was given to Ben-hadad, he was drinking with the kings in the tents, and he said to his men, Take up your positions. So they put themselves in position for attacking the town.
12 Lorsque Ben Hadad reçut cette réponse, il était à boire avec les rois sous les tentes, et il dit à ses serviteurs: Faites vos préparatifs! Et ils firent leurs préparatifs contre la ville.
12 Nuair a chuala Bein Hadad an teachtaireacht sin agus é ag ól leis na ríthe faoi na scáthláin, dúirt sé lena chuid fear: “Chun bhur láithreacha libh!” agus chuadar chun a láithreacha in aghaidh na cathrach.
12 Y como él oyó esta palabra, estando bebiendo con los reyes en las tiendas, dijo á sus siervos: Poned. Y ellos pusieron contra la ciudad.
12 Da das Benhadad hörte und er eben trank mit den Königen in den Gezelten, sprach er zu seinen Knechten: Schickt euch! Und sie schickten sich wider die Stadt.
13 Then a prophet came up to Ahab, king of Israel, and said, The Lord says, Have you seen all this great army? See, I will give it into your hands today, and you will see that I am the Lord.
13 Mais voici, un prophète s'approcha d'Achab, roi d'Israël, et il dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Vois-tu toute cette grande multitude? Je vais la livrer aujourd'hui entre tes mains, et tu sauras que je suis l'Éternel.
13 Tháinig fáidh ansin ar an bhfód ar lorg Acháb rí Iosrael. “Mar seo a deir an Tiarna,” ar sé: “ ‘An bhfaca tú an t‑arm mór seo? Féach, cuirfidh mé faoi do láimh é inniu féin, agus beidh a fhios agat gur mise an Tiarna.’ ”
13 Y he aquí un profeta se llegó á Achâb rey de Israel; y le dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿Has visto esta grande multitud? he aquí yo te la entregaré hoy en tu mano, para que conozcas que yo soy Jehová.
13 Und siehe, ein Prophet trat zu Ahab, dem Königs Israels, und sprach: So spricht der HERR: Du hast ja gesehen all diesen großen Haufen. Siehe, ich will ihn heute in deine Hand geben, daß du wissen sollst, ich sei der HERR.
14 And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, The Lord says, By the servants of the chiefs who are over the divisions of the land. Then he said, By whom is the fighting to be started? And he made answer, By you.
14 Achab dit: Par qui? Et il répondit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Par les serviteurs des chefs des provinces. Achab dit: Qui engagera le combat? Et il répondit: Toi.
14 “Cén cuidiú a bheidh agam?” a d'fhiafraigh Acháb. D'fhreagair an fáidh: “Cuidiú óglaigh uachtaráin na gcúigí, a deir an Tiarna.” “Cé atá le tús a chur leis an gcath?” a d'fhiafraigh Acháb. D'fhreagair sé: “Tusa féin.”
14 Y respondió Achâb: ¿Por mano de quién? Y él dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Por mano de los criados de los príncipes de las provincias. Y dijo Achâb: ¿Quién comenzará la batalla? Y él respondió: Tú.
14 Ahab sprach: Durch wen? Er sprach: So spricht der HERR: Durch die Leute der Landvögte. Er sprach: Wer soll den Streit anheben? Er sprach: Du.
15 Then he got together the servants of all the chiefs who were over the divisions of the land, two hundred and thirty-two of them; and after them, he got together all the people, all the children of Israel, seven thousand.
15 Alors Achab passa en revue les serviteurs des chefs des provinces, et il s'en trouva deux cent trente-deux; et après eux, il passa en revue tout le peuple, tous les enfants d'Israël, et ils étaient sept mille.
15 Ansin thionóil sé óglaigh uachtaráin na gcúigí - bhí dhá chéad tríocha a dó díobh ann. Ina ndiaidhsean thionóil sé muintir Iosrael go léir, seacht míle díobh.
15 Entonces él reconoció los criados de los príncipes de las provincias, los cuales fueron doscientos treinta y dos. Luego reconoció todo el pueblo, todos los hijos de Israel, que fueron siete mil.
15 Da zählte er die Landvögte, und ihrer waren zweihundertzweiunddreißig, und zählte nach ihnen das Volk aller Kinder Israel, siebentausend Mann.
16 And in the middle of the day they went out. But Ben-hadad was drinking in the tents with the thirty-two kings who were helping him.
16 Ils firent une sortie à midi. Ben Hadad buvait et s'enivrait sous les tentes avec les trente-deux rois, ses auxiliaires.
16 Ansin um mheán lae rinne siad ruathar amach agus Bein Hadad ag cur meisce óil air féin faoi na scáthláin, é féin agus an dá rí déag ar fhichid a bhí ag cabhrú leis.
16 Y salieron á medio día. Y estaba Ben-adad bebiendo, borracho en las tiendas, él y los reyes, los treinta y dos reyes que habían venido en su ayuda.
16 Und sie zogen aus am Mittag. Benhadad aber trank und war trunken im Gezelt samt den zweiunddreißig Königen, die ihm zu Hilfe gekommen waren.
17 And the servants of the chiefs who were over the divisions of the land went forward first; and when Ben-hadad sent out, they gave him the news, saying, Men have come out from Samaria.
17 Les serviteurs des chefs des provinces sortirent les premiers. Ben Hadad s'informa, et on lui fit ce rapport: Des hommes sont sortis de Samarie.
17 Ghabh óglaigh uachtaráin na gcúigí amach ar dtús. Chuir Bein Hadad [lucht braite] amach agus thugadar scéala dó: “Tá fir tagtha amach ón tSamáir.”
17 Y los criados de los príncipes de las provincias salieron los primeros. Y había Ben-adad enviado quien le dió aviso, diciendo: Han salido hombres de Samaria.
17 Und die Leute der Landvögte zogen am ersten aus. Benhadad aber sandte aus, und die sagten ihm an und sprachen: Es ziehen Männer aus Samaria.
18 And he said, If they have come out for peace, take them living, and if they have come out for war, take them living.
18 Il dit: S'ils sortent pour la paix, saisissez-les vivants; et s'ils sortent pour le combat, saisissez-les vivants.
18 Dúirt sé: “Más ar thóir síochána a tháinig siad amach, gabhaigí ina mbeatha iad; nó más chun cogaidh a tháinig siad amach, gabhaigí ina mbeatha iad chomh maith.”
18 El entonces dijo: Si han salido por paz, tomadlos vivos; y si han salido para pelear, tomadlos vivos.
18 Er sprach: Greift sie lebendig, sie seien um Friedens oder um Streit ausgezogen!
19 So the servants of the chiefs of the divisions of the land went out of the town, with the army coming after them.
19 Lorsque les serviteurs des chefs des provinces et l'armée qui les suivait furent sortis de la ville,
19 Rinneadar ruathar ón gcathair amach dá bhrí sin, óglaigh uachtaráin na gcúigí agus an t‑arm ina ndiaidh,
19 Salieron pues de la ciudad los criados de los príncipes de las provincias, y en pos de ellos el ejército.
19 Da aber die Leute der Landvögte waren ausgezogen und das Heer ihnen nach,
20 And every one of them put his man to death, and the Aramaeans went in flight with Israel after them; and Ben-hadad, king of Aram, got away safely on a horse with his horsemen.
20 chacun frappa son homme, et les Syriens prirent la fuite. Israël les poursuivit. Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, se sauva sur un cheval, avec des cavaliers.

21 And the king of Israel went out and took the horses and the war-carriages, and made great destruction among the Aramaeans.
21 Le roi d'Israël sortit, frappa les chevaux et les chars, et fit éprouver aux Syriens une grande défaite.
21 Ansin ghabh rí Iosrael amach agus ghabh idir eachra agus charbaid agus rinne ár is eirleach ar Arám.
21 Y salió el rey de Israel, é hirió la gente de á caballo, y los carros; y deshizo los Siros con grande estrago.
21 Und der König Israels zog aus und schlug Roß und Wagen, daß er an den Syrern eine große Schlacht tat.
22 Then the prophet came up to the king of Israel, and said to him, Now make yourself strong, and take care what you do, or a year from now the king of Aram will come up against you again.
22 Alors le prophète s'approcha du roi d'Israël, et lui dit: Va, fortifie toi, examine et vois ce que tu as à faire; car, au retour de l'année, le roi de Syrie montera contre toi.
22 Ansin chuaigh an fáidh suas go rí Iosrael agus dúirt leis: “Tar, bíodh misneach agat, agus meáigh go maith cad tá le déanamh agat, mar tiocfaidh rí Arám aníos i do choinne arís san earrach.”
22 Llegándose luego el profeta al rey de Israel, le dijo: Ve, fortalécete, y considera y mira lo que has de hacer; porque pasado el año, el rey de Siria ha de venir contra ti.
22 Da trat der Prophet zum König Israels und sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin und stärke dich und merke und siehe, was du tust! Denn der König von Syrien wird wider dich heraufziehen, wenn das Jahr um ist.
23 Then the king of Aram's servants said to him, Their god is a god of the hills; that is why they were stronger than we: but if we make an attack on them in the lowlands, we will certainly be stronger than they.
23 Les serviteurs du roi de Syrie lui dirent: Leur dieu est un dieu de montagnes; c'est pourquoi ils ont été plus forts que nous. Mais combattons-les dans la plaine, et l'on verra si nous ne serons pas plus forts qu'eux.
23 Dúirt searbhóntaí rí Arám leis: “Déithe sléibhte a ndéithe; sin é an fáth gur thréine iad ná sinne; cuirimis cath orthu sna hísleáin, agus is cinnte go mbuafaimid orthu.
23 Y los siervos del rey de Siria le dijeron: Sus dioses son dioses de los montes, por eso nos han vencido; mas si peleáremos con ellos en la llanura, se verá si no los vencemos.
23 Denn die Knechte des Königs von Syrien sprachen zu ihm: Ihre Götter sind Berggötter; darum haben sie uns überwunden. O daß wir mit ihnen auf der Ebene streiten müßten! Was gilt's, wir wollten sie überwinden!
24 This is what you have to do: take away the kings from their positions, and put captains in their places;
24 Fais encore ceci: ôte chacun des rois de son poste, et remplace-les par des chefs;
24 Ní mór duit déanamh mar seo: na ríthe go léir a chur óna gceannasaíocht agus ceannairí a chur ina n‑áit;
24 Haz pues así: Saca á los reyes cada uno de su puesto, y pon capitanes en lugar de ellos.
24 Tue also: Tue die Könige weg, einen jeglichen an seinen Ort, und stelle die Landpfleger an ihre Stätte
25 And get together another army like the one which came to destruction, horse for horse, and carriage for carriage; and let us make war on them in the lowlands, and certainly we will be stronger than they. And he gave ear to what they said, and did so.
25 et forme-toi une armée pareille à celle que tu as perdue, avec autant de chevaux et autant de chars. Puis nous les combattrons dans la plaine, et l'on verra si nous ne serons pas plus forts qu'eux. Il les écouta, et fit ainsi.

25 Y tú, fórmate otro ejército como el ejército que perdiste, caballos por caballos, y carros por carros; luego pelearemos con ellos en campo raso, y veremos si no los vencemos. Y él les dió oído, é hízolo así.

26 So, a year later, Ben-hadad got the Aramaeans together and went up to Aphek to make war on Israel.
26 L'année suivante, Ben Hadad passa les Syriens en revue, et monta vers Aphek pour combattre Israël.

26 Pasado el año, Ben-adad reconoció los Siros, y vino á Aphec á pelear contra Israel.
26 Als nun das Jahr um war, ordnete Benhadad die Syrer und zog herauf gen Aphek, wider Israel zu streiten.
27 And the children of Israel got themselves together, and food was made ready and they went against them; the tents of the children of Israel were like two little flocks of goats before them, but all the country was full of the Aramaeans.
27 Les enfants d'Israël furent aussi passés en revue; ils reçurent des vivres, et ils marchèrent à la rencontre des Syriens. Ils campèrent vis-à-vis d'eux, semblables à deux petits troupeaux de chèvres, tandis que les Syriens remplissaient le pays.
27 Bhí clann Iosrael chomh maith cruinnithe agus lón acu agus ghabhadar amach ina gcoinne. Shuigh clann Iosrael a gcampa os a gcomhair agus iad mar a bheadh dhá thréad bheaga gabhar ann, ach an dúiche go léir ar snámh le hArámaigh.
27 Y los hijos de Israel fueron también inspeccionados, y tomando provisiones fuéronles al encuentro; y asentaron campo lo hijos de Israel delante de ellos, como dos rebañuelos de cabras; y los Siros henchían la tierra.
27 Und die Kinder Israel ordneten sich auch und versorgten sich und zogen hin ihnen entgegen und lagerten sich gegen sie wie zwei kleine Herden Ziegen. Der Syrer aber war das Land voll.
28 And a man of God came up and said to the king of Israel, The Lord says, Because the Aramaeans have said, The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the valleys; I will give all this great army into your hands, and you will see that I am the Lord.
28 L'homme de Dieu s'approcha, et dit au roi d'Israël: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Parce que les Syriens ont dit: L'Éternel est un dieu des montagnes et non un dieu des vallées, je livrerai toute cette grande multitude entre tes mains, et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel.
28 Tháinig giolla Dé i láthair agus dúirt le rí Iosrael: “Mar seo a deir an Tiarna: ‘De bhrí go ndúirt Arám gur dia sléibhte é an Tiarna, agus nach dia ísleán, tabharfaidh mé an slua mór seo go léir i do láimh agus beidh a fhios [agat] gur mise an Tiarna.’ ”
28 Llegándose entonces el varón de Dios al rey de Israel, hablóle diciendo: Así dijo Jehová: Por cuanto los Siros han dicho, Jehová es Dios de los montes, no Dios de los valles, yo entregaré toda esta grande multitud en tu mano, para que conozcáis que yo soy Jehová.
28 Und es trat der Mann Gottes herzu und sprach zum König Israels: So spricht der HERR: Darum daß die Syrer haben gesagt, der HERR sei ein Gott der Berge und nicht ein Gott der Gründe, so habe ich all diesen großen Haufen in deine Hand gegeben, daß ihr wisset, ich sei der HERR.
29 Now the two armies kept their positions facing one another for seven days. And on the seventh day the fight was started; and the children of Israel put to the sword a hundred thousand Aramaean footmen in one day.
29 Ils campèrent sept jours en face les uns des autres. Le septième jour, le combat s'engagea, et les enfants d'Israël tuèrent aux Syriens cent mille hommes de pied en un jour.
29 Agus bhíodar suite i gcampa ar aghaidh a chéile ar feadh seacht lá. Ar an seachtú lá fearadh an cath agus rinne clann Iosrael ár ar na hArámaigh, céad míle troitheach san aon lá amháin.
29 Siete días tuvieron asentado campo los unos delante de los otros, y al séptimo día se dió la batalla: y mataron los hijos de Israel de los Siros en un día cien mil hombres de á pie.
29 Und sie lagerten sich stracks gegen jene, sieben Tage. Am siebenten Tage zogen sie zuhauf in den Streit; und die Kinder Israel schlugen die Syrer hunderttausend Mann Fußvolk auf einen Tag.
30 But the rest went in flight to Aphek, into the town, where a wall came down on the twenty-seven thousand who were still living. And Ben-hadad went in flight into the town, into an inner room.
30 Le reste s'enfuit à la ville d'Aphek, et la muraille tomba sur vingt-sept mille hommes qui restaient. Ben Hadad s'était réfugié dans la ville, où il allait de chambre en chambre.
30 Theith an chuid eile isteach i gcathair Afaec, ach thit na ballaí anuas ar an bhfiche seacht míle a bhí fágtha. Theith Bein Hadad freisin agus fuair dídean i seomra cúil sa chathair.
30 Los demás huyeron á Aphec, á la ciudad: y el muro cayó sobre veinte y siete mil hombres que habían quedado. También Ben-adad vino huyendo á la ciudad, y escondíase de cámara en cámara.
30 Und die übrigen flohen gen Aphek in die Stadt; und die Mauer fiel auf die übrigen siebenundzwanzigtausend Mann. Und Benhadad floh auch in die Stadt von einer Kammer in die andere.
31 Then his servants said to him, It is said that the kings of Israel are full of mercy: let us then put on haircloth, and cords on our heads, and go to the king of Israel; it may be that he will give you your life.
31 Ses serviteurs lui dirent: Voici, nous avons appris que les rois de la maison d'Israël sont des rois miséricordieux; nous allons mettre des sacs sur nos reins et des cordes à nos têtes, et nous sortirons vers le roi d'Israël: peut-être qu'il te laissera la vie.
31 “Féach!” arsa a shearbhóntaí leis, “chualamar gur ríthe trócaireacha iad ríthe theaghlach Iosrael. Cuirimis sacéadach faoinar gcoim agus téada ar ár gceann agus téimis amach go rí Iosrael; b'fhéidir go ndéanfadh sé anacal anama ort.”
31 Entonces sus siervos le dijeron: He aquí, hemos oído de los reyes de la casa de Israel que son reyes clementes: pongamos pues ahora sacos en nuestros lomos, y sogas en nuestras cabezas, y salgamos al rey de Israel: por ventura te salvará la vida.
31 Da sprachen seine Knechte zu ihm: Siehe, wir haben gehört, daß die Könige des Hauses Israel barmherzige Könige sind; so laßt uns Säcke um unsere Lenden tun und Stricke um unsre Häupter und zum König Israels hinausgehen; vielleicht läßt er deine Seele leben.
32 So they put on haircloth, and cords on their heads, and came to the king of Israel and said, Your servant Ben-hadad says, Let me now keep my life. And he said, Is he still living? he is my brother.
32 Ils se mirent des sacs autour des reins et des cordes autour de la tête, et ils allèrent auprès du roi d'Israël. Ils dirent: Ton serviteur Ben Hadad dit: Laisse-moi la vie! Achab répondit: Est-il encore vivant? Il est mon frère.
32 Chuireadar sacéadach faoina gcoim dá bhrí sin, agus téada ar a gceann agus chuadar amach go rí Iosrael agus dúradar: “Deir do shearbhónta Bein Hadad: ‘Déan anacal anama orm.’ ” “An beo dó fós más ea?” ar sé, “is é mo bhráthair é.”
32 Ciñeron pues sus lomos de sacos, y sogas á sus cabezas, y vinieron al rey de Israel, y dijéronle: Tu siervo Ben-adad dice: Ruégote que viva mi alma. Y él respondió: Si él vive aún, mi hermano es.
32 Und sie gürteten Säcke um ihre Lenden und Stricke um ihre Häupter und kamen zum König Israels und sprachen: Benhadad, dein Knecht, läßt dir sagen: Laß doch meine Seele leben! Er aber sprach: Lebt er noch, so ist er mein Bruder.
33 Now the men took it as a sign, and quickly took up his words; and they said, Ben-hadad is your brother. Then he said, Go and get him. So Ben-hadad came out to him and he made him get up into his carriage.
33 Ces hommes tirèrent de là un bon augure, et ils se hâtèrent de le prendre au mot et de dire: Ben Hadad est ton frère! Et il dit: Allez, amenez-le. Ben Hadad vint vers lui, et Achab le fit monter sur son char.
33 Bhí na daoine ag tnúth le tuar agus thógadar suas go tapa uaidh é agus dúradar: “Sea, bráthair duit Bein Hadad.” Dúirt Acháb: “Imígí agus tugaigí anseo é.” Ansin tháinig Bein Hadad amach chuige agus chuir Acháb faoi deara dó teacht aníos isteach ina charbad.
33 Esto tomaron aquellos hombres por buen agüero, y presto tomaron esta palabra de su boca, y dijeron: ¡Tu hermano Ben-adad! Y él dijo: Id, y traedle. Ben-adad entonces se presentó á Achâb, y él le hizo subir en un carro.
33 Und die Männer nahmen eilend das Wort von ihm und deuteten's für sich und sprachen: Ja dein Bruder Benhadad. Er sprach: Kommt und bringt ihn! Da ging Benhadad zu ihm heraus. Und er ließ ihn auf dem Wagen sitzen.
34 And Ben-hadad said to him, The towns my father took from your father I will give back; and you may make streets for yourself in Damascus as my father did in Samaria. And as for me, at the price of this agreement you will let me go. So he made an agreement with him and let him go.
34 Ben Hadad lui dit: Je te rendrai les villes que mon père a prises à ton père; et tu établiras pour toi des rues à Damas, comme mon père en avait établies à Samarie. Et moi, reprit Achab, je te laisserai aller, en faisant une alliance. Il fit alliance avec lui, et le laissa aller.
34 Dúirt Bein Hadad: “Tabharfaidh mé ar ais na cathracha a thóg m'athairse ó d'athairse, agus bíodh cead agat margaí a chur suas duit féin sa Damaisc mar a rinne m'athair sa tSamáir.” Dúirt Acháb: “Scaoilfidh mé leat ar na coiníollacha sin,” agus rinne sé conradh leis agus scaoil saor é.
34 Y díjole Ben-adad: Las ciudades que mi padre tomó al tuyo, yo las restituiré; y haz plazas en Damasco para ti, como mi padre las hizo en Samaria. Y yo, dijo Achâb, te dejaré partir con esta alianza. Hizo pues con él alianza, y dejóle ir.
34 Und Benhadad sprach zu ihm: Die Städte, die mein Vater deinem Vater genommen hat, will ich dir wiedergeben; und mache dir Gassen zu Damaskus, wie mein Vater zu Samaria getan hat. So will ich (sprach Ahab) mit einem Bund dich ziehen lassen. Und er machte mit ihm einen Bund und ließ ihn ziehen.
35 And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbour by the word of the Lord, Give me a wound. But the man would not.
35 L'un des fils des prophètes dit à son compagnon, d'après l'ordre de l'Éternel: Frappe-moi, je te prie! Mais cet homme refusa de le frapper.
35 Ar ordú an Tiarna dúirt duine de bhráithreas na bhfáithe le compánach dá chuid: “Buail mé!” ach dhiúltaigh an fear é a bhualadh.
35 Entonces un varón de los hijos de los profetas dijo á su compañero por palabra de Dios: Hiéreme ahora. Mas el otro varón no quiso herirle.
35 Da sprach ein Mann unter den Kindern der Propheten zu seinem Nächsten durch das Wort des HERRN: Schlage mich doch! Er aber weigerte sich, ihn zu schlagen.
36 Then he said to him, Because you have not given ear to the voice of the Lord, straight away when you have gone from me a lion will put you to death. And when he had gone, straight away a lion came rushing at him and put him to death.
36 Alors il lui dit: Parce que tu n'as pas obéi à la voix de l'Éternel, voici, quand tu m'auras quitté, le lion te frappera. Et quand il l'eut quitté, le lion le rencontra et le frappa.
36 Dúirt sé leis ansin: “De bhrí nár ghéill tú d'ordú an Tiarna, a luaithe a fhágfaidh tú mé maróidh leon thú.” A luaithe a d'imigh sé uaidh, bhuail leon leis agus mharaigh sé é.
36 Y él le dijo: Por cuanto no has obedecido á la palabra de Jehová, he aquí en apartándote de mí, te herirá un león. Y como se apartó de él, topóle un león, é hirióle.
36 Da sprach er zu ihm: Darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN nicht hast gehorcht, siehe, so wird dich ein Löwe schlagen, wenn du von mir gehst. Und da er von ihm abging, fand ihn ein Löwe und schlug ihn.
37 Then he came across another man, and said, Give me a wound. And the man gave him a blow wounding him.
37 Il trouva un autre homme, et il dit: Frappe-moi, je te prie! Cet homme le frappa et le blessa.
37 D'imigh an fáidh leis agus fuair duine eile agus dúirt leis: “Buail mé,” agus bhuail an fear é agus ghoin agus chréacht é.
37 Encontróse luego con otro hombre, y díjole: Hiéreme ahora. Y el hombre le dió un golpe, é hízole una herida.
37 Und er fand einen anderen Mann und sprach: Schlage mich doch! und der Mann schlug ihn wund.
38 So the prophet went away, and pulling his head-band over his eyes to keep his face covered, took his place by the road waiting for the king.
38 Le prophète alla se placer sur le chemin du roi, et il se déguisa avec un bandeau sur les yeux.
38 D'imigh an fáidh ansin agus sheas ar an mbóthar ag feitheamh leis an rí, é i mbréagriocht agus cafairrín ar a shúile.
38 Y el profeta se fué, y púsose delante del rey en el camino, y disfrazóse con un velo sobre los ojos.
38 Da ging der Prophet hin und trat zum König an den Weg und verstellte sein Angesicht mit einer Binde.
39 And when the king went by, crying out to him he said, Your servant went out into the fight; and a man came out to me with another man and said, Keep this man: if by any chance he gets away, your life will be the price of his life, or you will have to give a talent of silver in payment.
39 Lorsque le roi passa, il cria vers lui, et dit: Ton serviteur était au milieu du combat; et voici, un homme s'approche et m'amène un homme, en disant: Garde cet homme; s'il vient à manquer, ta vie répondra de sa vie, ou tu paieras un talent d'argent!
39 Nuair a bhí an rí ag gabháil thar bráid ghlaoigh sé chuige á rá: “Bhí do shearbhónta ag triall ar lár an chatha agus, féach!, d'iompaigh saighdiúir agus thug fear chugam agus dúirt: ‘Fair an fear seo. Má éalaíonn sé ar aon tslí, díolfaidh tú as le d'anam féin, nó díolfaidh tú tallann airgid.’
39 Y como el rey pasaba, él dió voces al rey, y dijo: Tu siervo salió entre la tropa: y he aquí apartándose uno, trájome un hombre, diciendo: Guarda á este hombre, y si llegare á faltar, tu vida será por la suya, ó pagarás un talento de plata.
39 Und da der König vorüberzog, schrie er den König an und sprach: Dein Knecht war ausgezogen mitten in den Streit. Und siehe, ein Mann war gewichen und brachte einen Mann zu mir und sprach: Verwahre diesen Mann; wo man ihn wird vermissen, so soll deine Seele anstatt seiner Seele sein, oder du sollst einen Zentner Silber darwägen.
40 But while your servant was turning this way and that, he was gone. Then the king of Israel said to him, You are responsible; you have given the decision against yourself.
40 Et pendant que ton serviteur agissait çà et là, l'homme a disparu. Le roi d'Israël lui dit: C'est là ton jugement; tu l'as prononcé toi-même.
40 Ach fad bhí do shearbhónta gafa le cúram agus cúram eile, d'éalaigh an fear leis.” Dúirt rí Iosrael: “Sin í an bhreith ort, más ea. Tú féin a thug í.”
40 Y como tu siervo estaba ocupado á una parte y á otra, él desapareció. Entonces el rey de Israel le dijo: Esa será tu sentencia: tú la has pronunciado.
40 Und da dein Knecht hier und da zu tun hatte, war der nicht mehr da. Der König Israels sprach zu ihm: Das ist dein Urteil; du hast es selbst gefällt.
41 Then he quickly took the head-band from his eyes; and the king of Israel saw that he was one of the prophets.
41 Aussitôt le prophète ôta le bandeau de dessus ses yeux, et le roi d'Israël le reconnut pour l'un des prophètes.
41 Ansin shrac an fear an cafairrín gan mhoill dá shúile agus d'aithin rí Iosrael é mar dhuine de na fáithe.
41 Pero él se quitó presto el velo de sobre sus ojos, y el rey de Israel conoció que era de los profetas.
41 Da tat er eilend die Binde von seinem Angesicht; und der König Israels kannte ihn, daß er der Propheten einer war.
42 And he said to him, These are the words of the Lord: Because you have let go from your hands the man whom I had put to the curse, your life will be taken for his life, and your people for his people.
42 Il dit alors au roi: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Parce que tu as laissé échapper de tes mains l'homme que j'avais dévoué par interdit, ta vie répondra de sa vie, et ton peuple de son peuple.
42 Dúirt sé leis an rí: “Mar seo a deir an Tiarna: ‘Ó lig tú saor an té a bhí faoi mo bhang, tabharfar d'anam ar a anam, do mhuintirse ar a mhuintirsean.’ ”
42 Y él le dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Por cuanto soltaste de la mano el hombre de mi anatema, tu vida será por la suya, y tu pueblo por el suyo.
42 Und er sprach zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Darum daß du hast den verbannten Mann von dir gelassen, wird deine Seele für seine Seele sein und dein Volk für sein Volk.
43 Then the king of Israel went back to his house, bitter and angry, and came to Samaria.
43 Le roi d'Israël s'en alla chez lui, triste et irrité, et il arriva à Samarie.
