1 At that time Abijah, the son of Jeroboam, became ill.
1 Dans ce temps-là, Abija, fils de Jéroboam, devint malade.

2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Now come, put on different clothing so that you may not seem to be the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; see, Ahijah is there, the prophet who said I would be king over this people.
2 Et Jéroboam dit à sa femme: Lève-toi, je te prie, et déguise-toi pour qu'on ne sache pas que tu es la femme de Jéroboam, et va à Silo. Voici, là est Achija, le prophète; c'est lui qui m'a dit que je serais roi de ce peuple.
2 Agus dúirt Iarobám lena bhean: “Téanam, le do thoil! Cuir bréagriocht ort féin ionas nach n‑aithneoidh aon duine gur tú bean Iarobám, agus téigh go Sileo. Tá an fáidh Aichíá ansiúd, an té a dúirt go mbeinnse i mo rí ar an bpobal seo.
2 Y dijo Jeroboam á su mujer: Levántate ahora, disfrázate, porque no te conozcan que eres la mujer de Jeroboam, y ve á Silo; que allá está Ahías profeta, el que me dijo que yo había de ser rey sobre este pueblo.
2 Und Jerobeam sprach zu seinem Weibe: Mache dich auf und verstelle dich, daß niemand merke, daß du Jerobeams Weib bist, und gehe hin gen Silo; siehe, daselbst ist der Prophet Ahia, der mit mir geredet hat, daß ich sollte König sein über dies Volk.
3 And take with you ten cakes of bread and dry cakes and a pot of honey, and go to him: he will give you word of what is to become of the child.
3 Prends avec toi dix pains, des gâteaux et un vase de miel, et entre chez lui; il te dira ce qui arrivera à l'enfant.
3 Téigh chuige agus beir leat deich mbuilín agus roinnt cístí agus crúiscín meala, agus inseoidh sé duit cad a imeoidh ar an leanbh.”
3 Y toma en tu mano diez panes, y turrones, y una botija de miel, y ve á él; que te declare lo que ha de ser de este mozo.
3 Und nimm mit dir zehn Brote und Kuchen und einen Krug mit Honig und komm zu ihm, daß er dir sage, wie es dem Knaben gehen wird.
4 So Jeroboam's wife did so, and got up and went to Shiloh and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah was unable to see, because he was very old.
4 La femme de Jéroboam fit ainsi; elle se leva, alla à Silo, et entra dans la maison d'Achija. Achija ne pouvait plus voir, car il avait les yeux fixes par suite de la vieillesse.
4 Rinne bean Iarobám amhlaidh, chuir chun bóthair, chuaigh go Sileo agus tháinig go teach Aichíá. Ní raibh aon radharc ag Aichíá mar go raibh a shúile caoch ón tseanaois.
4 Y la mujer de Jeroboam hízolo así; y levantóse, y fué á Silo, y vino á casa de Ahías. Y no podía ya ver Ahías, que sus ojos se habían oscurecido á causa de su vejez.
4 Und das Weib Jerobeams tat also und machte sich auf und ging hin gen Silo und kam in das Haus Ahias. Ahia aber konnte nicht sehen, denn seine Augen waren starr vor Alter.
5 And the Lord had said to Ahijah, The wife of Jeroboam is coming to get news from you about her son, who is ill; give her such and such an answer; for she will make herself seem to be another woman.
5 L'Éternel avait dit à Achija: La femme de Jéroboam va venir te consulter au sujet de son fils, parce qu'il est malade. Tu lui parleras de telle et de telle manière. Quand elle arrivera, elle se donnera pour une autre.
5 Ach dúirt an Tiarna leis: “Tá bean Iarobám ar an tslí chugat ag lorg oracail ort i dtaobh a mic mar go bhfuil sé breoite. Déarfaidh tú a leithéid seo léi. Nuair a thiocfaidh sí ligfidh sí uirthi féin gur bean eile í.”
5 Mas Jehová había dicho á Ahías: He aquí que la mujer de Jeroboam vendrá á consultarte por su hijo, que está enfermo: así y así le has de responder; pues será que cuando ella viniere, vendrá disimulada.
5 Aber der HERR sprach zu Ahia: Siehe, das Weib Jerobeams kommt, daß sie von dir eine Sache frage um ihren Sohn; denn er ist krank. So rede nun mit ihr so und so. Da sie nun hineinkam, stellte sie sich fremd.
6 Then Ahijah, hearing the sound of her footsteps coming in at the door, said, Come in, O wife of Jeroboam; why do you make yourself seem like another? for I am sent to you with bitter news.
6 Lorsque Achija entendit le bruit de ses pas, au moment où elle franchissait la porte, il dit: Entre, femme de Jéroboam; pourquoi veux-tu te donner pour une autre? Je suis chargé de t'annoncer des choses dures.
6 Nuair a chuala Aichíá a coiscéim ag an doras, dúirt sé: “Tar isteach, a bhean Iarobám; cén fáth a ligean ort gur duine éigin eile thú? Tá drochscéal agam duit:
6 Y como Ahías oyó el sonido de sus pies cuando entraba por la puerta, dijo: Entra, mujer de Jeroboam; ¿por qué te finges otra? empero yo soy enviado á ti con revelación dura.
6 Als aber Ahia hörte das Rauschen ihrer Füße zur Tür hineingehen, sprach er: Komm herein, du Weib Jerobeams! Warum stellst du dich so fremd? Ich bin zu dir gesandt als ein harter Bote.
7 Go, say to Jeroboam, These are the words of the Lord, the God of Israel: Though I took you from among the people, lifting you up to be a ruler over my people Israel,
7 Va, dis à Jéroboam: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Je t'ai élevé du milieu du peuple, je t'ai établi chef de mon peuple d'Israël,
7 Téigh go Iarobám agus abair leis: ‘Mar seo a deir an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael: D'ardaigh mé ó lár an phobail thú agus rinne mé ceannaire díot ar mo phobal Iosrael.
7 Ve, y di á Jeroboam: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Por cuanto yo te levanté de en medio del pueblo, y te hice príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel,
7 Gehe hin und sage Jerobeam: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe dich erhoben aus dem Volk und zum Fürsten über mein Volk Israel gesetzt
8 And took the kingdom away by force from the seed of David and gave it to you, you have not been like my servant David, who kept my orders, and was true to me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes.
8 j'ai arraché le royaume de la maison de David et je te l'ai donné. Et tu n'as pas été comme mon serviteur David, qui a observé mes commandements et qui a marché après moi de tout son coeur, ne faisant que ce qui est droit à mes yeux.
8 Stiall mé an ríocht ó theaghlach Dháiví agus thug mé duitse í; ach ní raibh tú mar mo shearbhónta Dáiví, a choimeád m'aitheanta agus a lean mé óna chroí go hiomlán, gan ach an ceart amháin á dhéanamh aige i mo láthairse.
8 Y rompí el reino de la casa de David, y te lo entregué á ti; y tú no has sido como David mi siervo, que guardó mis mandamientos y anduvo en pos de mí con todo su corazón, haciendo solamente lo derecho delante de mis ojos;
8 und habe das Königreich von Davids Haus gerissen und dir gegeben. Du aber bist nicht gewesen wie mein Knecht David, der meine Gebote hielt und wandelte mir nach von ganzem Herzen, daß er tat, was mir wohl gefiel,
9 But you have done evil more than any before you, and have made for yourself other gods, and images of metal, moving me to wrath, and turning your back on me.
9 Tu as agi plus mal que tous ceux qui ont été avant toi, tu es allé te faire d'autres dieux, et des images de fonte pour m'irriter, et tu m'as rejeté derrière ton dos!
9 Rinne tusa olc thar mar a rinne ar tháinig romhat; mar d'imigh tú leat agus rinne tú déithe eile duit féin, íomhánna de mhiotal leáite, rud a chuir fearg orm; agus thug tú droim láimhe liom.
9 Antes hiciste lo malo sobre todos los que han sido antes de ti: que fuiste y te hiciste dioses ajenos y de fundición para enojarme, y á mí me echaste tras tus espaldas:
9 und hast übel getan über alle, die vor dir gewesen sind, bist hingegangen und hast dir andere Götter gemacht und gegossene Bilder, daß du mich zum Zorn reizest, und hast mich hinter deinen Rücken geworfen.
10 So I will send evil on the line of Jeroboam, cutting off from his family every male child, those who are shut up and those who go free in Israel; the family of Jeroboam will be brushed away like a man brushing away waste till it is all gone.
10 Voilà pourquoi je vais faire venir le malheur sur la maison de Jéroboam; j'exterminerai quiconque appartient à Jéroboam, celui qui est esclave et celui qui est libre en Israël, et je balaierai la maison de Jéroboam comme on balaie les ordures, jusqu'à ce qu'elle ait disparu.
10 Dá bharr sin tabharfaidh mé tubaiste ar theach Iarobám; scriosfaidh mé gach mac máthar de mhuintir Iarobám, idir dhaor is shaor in Iosrael; scuabfaidh mé teaghlach Iarobám chun siúil faoi mar a scuabann duine aoileach chun siúil go dtí nach mbíonn ruainne fágtha.
10 Por tanto, he aquí que yo traigo mal sobre la casa de Jeroboam, y yo talaré de Jeroboam todo meante á la pared, así el guardado como el desamparado en Israel; y barreré la posteridad de la casa de Jeroboam, como es barrido el estiércol, hasta que sea acabada.
10 Darum siehe, ich will Unglück über das Haus Jerobeam führen und ausrotten von Jerobeam alles, was männlich ist, den Verschlossenen und Verlassenen in Israel, und will die Nachkommen des Hauses Jerobeams ausfegen, wie man Kot ausfegt, bis es ganz mit ihm aus sei.
11 Those of the family of Jeroboam who come to death in the town, will become food for the dogs; and those on whom death comes in the open country, will be food for the birds of the air; for the Lord has said it.
11 Celui de la maison de Jéroboam qui mourra dans la ville sera mangé par les chiens, et celui qui mourra dans les champs sera mangé par les oiseaux du ciel. Car l'Éternel a parlé.
11 Aon duine de mhuintir Iarobám a gheobhaidh bás sa chathair, íosfaidh na madraí iad; aon daoine díobh a gheobhaidh bás faoin tuath, alpfaidh éanlaith an aeir iad; mar tá labhartha ag an Tiarna.’
11 El que muriere de los de Jeroboam en la ciudad, le comerán los perros; y el que muriere en el campo, comerlo han las aves del cielo; porque Jehová lo ha dicho.
11 Wer von Jerobeam stirbt in der Stadt, den sollen die Hunde fressen; wer aber auf dem Felde stirbt, den sollen die Vögel des Himmels fressen; denn der HERR hat's geredet.
12 Up, then! go back to your house; and in the hour when your feet go into the town, the death of the child will take place.
12 Et toi, lève-toi, va dans ta maison. Dès que tes pieds entreront dans la ville, l'enfant mourra.
12 “Éirigh dá bhrí sin agus imigh abhaile. A luaithe a leagfaidh tú cos leat sa chathair gheobhaidh an leanbh bás.
12 Y tú levántate, y vete á tu casa; que en entrando tu pie en la ciudad, morirá el mozo.
12 So mache dich nun auf und gehe heim; und wenn dein Fuß zur Stadt eintritt, wird das Kind sterben.
13 And all Israel will put his body to rest, weeping over him, because he only of the family of Jeroboam will be put into his resting-place in the earth; for of all the family of Jeroboam, in him only has the Lord, the God of Israel, seen some good.
13 Tout Israël le pleurera, et on l'enterrera; car il est le seul de la maison de Jéroboam qui sera mis dans un sépulcre, parce qu'il est le seul de la maison de Jéroboam en qui se soit trouvé quelque chose de bon devant l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
13 Déanfaidh Iosrael go léir é a chaoineadh, agus é a adhlacadh. Eisean amháin de mhuintir Iarobám a rachaidh i dtuama, mar is ann amháin de theaghlach Iarobám a fuarthas ábhar taitnimh leis an Tiarna Dia Iosrael.
13 Y todo Israel lo endechará, y le enterrarán; porque sólo él de los de Jeroboam entrará en sepultura; por cuanto se ha hallado en él alguna cosa buena de Jehová Dios de Israel, en la casa de Jeroboam.
13 Und es wird ihn das ganze Israel beklagen, und werden ihn begraben; denn dieser allein von Jerobeam wird zu Grabe kommen, darum daß etwas Gutes an ihm erfunden ist vor dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, im Hause Jerobeams.
14 And the Lord will put up a king over Israel who will send destruction on the family of Jeroboam in that day;
14 L'Éternel établira sur Israël un roi qui exterminera la maison de Jéroboam ce jour-là. Et n'est-ce pas déjà ce qui arrive?
14 Ardóidh an Tiarna rí dó féin ar Iosrael a dhéanfaidh teaghlach Iarobám a scrios. [Inniu an lá. Agus cad eile anois?]
14 Y Jehová se levantará un rey sobre Israel, el cual talará la casa de Jeroboam en este día; ¿y qué, si ahora?
14 Der HERR aber wird sich einen König über Israel erwecken, der wird das Haus Jerobeams ausrotten an dem Tage. Und was ist's, das schon jetzt geschieht!
15 And even now the hand of the Lord has come down on Israel, shaking it like a river-grass in the water; and, uprooting Israel from this good land, which he gave to their fathers, he will send them this way and that on the other side of the River; because they have made for themselves images, moving the Lord to wrath.
15 L'Éternel frappera Israël, et il en sera de lui comme du roseau qui est agité dans les eaux; il arrachera Israël de ce bon pays qu'il avait donné à leurs pères, et il les dispersera de l'autre côté du fleuve, parce qu'ils se sont fait des idoles, irritant l'Éternel.
15 Cuirfidh an Tiarna Iosrael ar crith dála na giolcaí san uisce, agus stoithfidh sé Iosrael as an tír fhónta a thug sé dá sinsir, agus scaipfidh sé thar an Eofrataes iad mar gur ghriogadar an Tiarna chun feirge leis na cuaillí naofa a rinneadar.
15 Y Jehová sacudirá á Israel, al modo que la caña se agita en las aguas: y él arrancará á Israel de esta buena tierra que había dado á sus padres, y esparcirálos de la otra parte del río, por cuanto han hecho sus bosques, enojando á Jehová.
15 Und der HERR wird Israel schlagen, gleich wie das Rohr im Wasser bewegt wird, und wird Israel ausreißen aus diesem guten Lande, daß er ihren Vätern gegeben hat, und wird sie zerstreuen jenseit des Stromes, darum daß sie ihre Ascherahbilder gemacht haben, den HERRN zu erzürnen.
16 And he will give Israel up because of the sins which Jeroboam has done and made Israel do.
16 Il livrera Israël à cause des péchés que Jéroboam a commis et qu'il a fait commettre à Israël.
16 Tabharfaidh sé cúl le hIosrael de bharr na bpeacaí lenar pheacaigh Iarobám agus a thug sé ar Iosrael a dhéanamh.”
16 Y él entregará á Israel por los pecados de Jeroboam, el cual pecó, y ha hecho pecar á Israel.
16 Und er wird Israel übergeben um der Sünden willen Jerobeams, der da gesündigt hat und Israel hat sündigen gemacht.
17 Then Jeroboam's wife got up and went away and came to Tirzah; and when she came to the doorway of the house, death came to the child.
17 La femme de Jéroboam se leva, et partit. Elle arriva à Thirtsa; et, comme elle atteignait le seuil de la maison, l'enfant mourut.
17 Ansin d'éirigh bean Iarobám agus d'imigh léi agus tháinig go Tirzeá, agus a luaithe a chuir sí cos thar tairseach, bhí an leanbh marbh.
17 Entonces la mujer de Jeroboam se levantó, y se fué, y vino á Thirsa: y entrando ella por el umbral de la casa, el mozo murió.
17 Und das Weib Jerobeams machte sich auf, ging hin und kam gen Thirza. Und da sie auf die Schwelle des Hauses kam, starb der Knabe.
18 And all Israel put his body to rest, weeping over him, as the Lord had said by his servant Ahijah the prophet.
18 On l'enterra, et tout Israël le pleura, selon la parole que l'Éternel avait dite par son serviteur Achija, le prophète.
18 Rinne Iosrael go léir é a adhlacadh agus a chaoineadh, de réir bhriathar an Tiarna, a labhair sé ó bhéal a shearbhónta, an fáidh Aichíá.
18 Y enterráronlo, y endechólo todo Israel, conforme á la palabra de Jehová, que él había hablado por mano de su siervo Ahías profeta.
18 Und sie begruben ihn und ganz Israel beklagte ihn nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch seinen Knecht Ahia, den Propheten.
19 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he made war and how he became king, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
19 Le reste des actions de Jéroboam, comment il fit la guerre et comment il régna, cela est écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.

20 And Jeroboam was king for twenty-two years, and was put to rest with his fathers, and Nadab his son became king in his place.
20 Jéroboam régna vingt-deux ans, puis il se coucha avec ses pères. Et Nadab, son fils, régna à sa place.

20 El tiempo que reinó Jeroboam fueron veintidós años; y habiendo dormido con sus padres, reinó en su lugar Nadab su hijo.
20 Die Zeit aber, die Jerobeam regierte, sind zweiundzwanzig Jahre; und er entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und sein Sohn Nadab ward König an seiner Statt.
21 And Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, was king in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was king for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there; his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
21 Roboam, fils de Salomon, régna sur Juda. Il avait quarante et un ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna dix-sept ans à Jérusalem, la ville que l'Éternel avait choisie sur toutes les tribus d'Israël pour y mettre son nom. Sa mère s'appelait Naama, l'Ammonite.
21 Rinneadh rí ar Iúdá de Rachabám mac Sholaimh. Bhí Rachabám bliain agus daichead nuair a tháinig sé i gcoróin, agus bhí sé i gcoróin seacht mbliana déag in Iarúsailéim, an chathair ar threibheanna Iosrael a thogh an Tiarna lena ainm a chur inti. Námá an tAmónach ab ainm dá mháthair.
21 Y Roboam hijo de Salomón reinó en Judá. De cuarenta y un años era Roboam cuando comenzó á reinar, y diecisiete años reinó en Jerusalem, ciudad que Jehová eligió de todas las tribus de Israel para poner allí su nombre. El nombre de su madre fué Naama, Ammonita.
21 So war Rehabeam, der Sohn Salomos, König in Juda. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam, da er König ward, und regierte siebzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem, in der Stadt, die der HERR erwählt hatte aus allen Stämmen Israels, daß er seinen Namen dahin stellte. Seine Mutter hieß Naema, eine Ammonitin.
22 And Judah did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and made him more angry than their fathers had done by their sins.
22 Juda fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel; et, par les péchés qu'ils commirent, ils excitèrent sa jalousie plus que ne l'avaient jamais fait leurs pères.
22 Agus rinne [sé] an t‑olc i bhfianaise an Tiarna, ag cur míchéadfa air lena pheacaí thar mar a rinne a shinsir leis na peacaí go léir a rinneadar,
22 Y Judá hizo lo malo en los ojos de Jehová, y enojáronle más que todo lo que sus padres habían hecho en sus pecados que cometieron.
22 Und Juda tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, und sie reizten ihn zum Eifer mehr denn alles, das ihre Väter getan hatten mit ihren Sünden, die sie taten.
23 For they made high places and upright stones and wood pillars on every high hill and under every green tree;
23 Ils se bâtirent, eux aussi, des hauts lieux avec des statues et des idoles sur toute colline élevée et sous tout arbre vert.
23 mar thógadarsan ardionaid dóibh féin, agus galláin, agus cuaillí naofa ar gach sliabh ard agus faoi gach crann craobhach.
23 Porque ellos también se edificaron altos, estatuas, y bosques, en todo collado alto, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso:
23 Denn sie bauten auch Höhen, Säulen und Ascherahbilder auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen.
24 And more than this, there were those in the land who were used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods, doing the same disgusting crimes as the nations which the Lord had sent out before the children of Israel.
24 Il y eut même des prostitués dans le pays. Ils imitèrent toutes les abominations des nations que l'Éternel avait chassées devant les enfants d'Israël.
24 Bhí fiú striapacha naofa fir sa tír. Rinne sé aithris ar na nósanna bréana a bhí ag na ciníocha go léir a dhíbir an Tiarna roimh chlann Iosrael.
24 Y hubo también sodomitas en la tierra, é hicieron conforme á todas las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.
24 Es waren auch Hurer im Lande; und sie taten alle Greuel der Heiden, die der HERR vor den Kindern Israel vertrieben hatte.
25 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem;
25 La cinquième année du règne de Roboam, Schischak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem.
25 Sa chúigiú bliain de réimeas Rachabám, tháinig Síseac rí na hÉigipte aníos i gcoinne Iarúsailéim;
25 Al quinto año del rey Roboam subió Sisac rey de Egipto contra Jerusalem.
25 Aber im fünften Jahr des Königs Rehabeam zog Sisak, der König in Ägypten, herauf wider Jerusalem
26 And took away all the stored wealth from the house of the Lord, and from the king's house, and all the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.
26 Il prit les trésors de la maison de l'Éternel et les trésors de la maison du roi, il prit tout. Il prit tous les boucliers d'or que Salomon avait faits.

26 Y tomó los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, y saqueólo todo: llevóse también todos los escudos de oro que Salomón había hecho.
26 und nahm die Schätze aus dem Hause des HERRN und aus dem Hause des Königs und alles, was zu nehmen war, und nahm alle goldenen Schilde, die Salomo hatte lassen machen;
27 So in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass, and gave them into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of the king's house.
27 Le roi Roboam fit à leur place des boucliers d'airain, et il les remit aux soins des chefs des coureurs, qui gardaient l'entrée de la maison du roi.
27 Ina n‑áitsean rinne Rachabám sciatha cré-umha, agus chuir iad faoi chúram oifigigh gharda gheataí pháláis an rí.
27 Y en lugar de ellos hizo el rey Roboam escudos de metal, y diólos en manos de los capitanes de los de la guardia, quienes custodiaban la puerta de la casa real.
27 an deren Statt ließ der König Rehabeam eherne Schilde machen und befahl sie unter die Hand der obersten Trabanten, die die Tür hüteten am Hause des Königs.
