1 Solomon was thirteen years building a house for himself till it was complete.

2 And he made the house of the Woods of Lebanon, which was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high, resting on four lines of cedar-wood pillars with cedar-wood supports on the pillars.
2 Il construisit d'abord la maison de la forêt du Liban, longue de cent coudées, large de cinquante coudées, et haute de trente coudées. Elle reposait sur quatre rangées de colonnes de cèdre, et il y avait des poutres de cèdre sur les colonnes.

2 Asimismo edificó la casa del bosque del Líbano, la cual tenía cinco codos de longitud, y cincuenta codos de anchura, y treinta codos de altura, sobre cuatro órdenes de columnas de cedro, con vigas de cedro sobre las columnas.

3 And it was covered with cedar over the forty-five supports which were on the pillars, fifteen in a line.

4 There were three lines of window-frames, window facing window in every line.

5 And all the doors and windows had square frames, with the windows facing one another in three lines.
5 Toutes les portes et tous les poteaux étaient formés de poutres en carré; et, à chacun des trois étages, les ouvertures étaient les unes vis-à-vis des autres.

6 And he made a covered room of pillars, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits wide, and ... with steps before it.

7 Then he made a covered room for his high seat when he gave decisions; this was the covered room of judging; it was covered with cedar-wood from floor to roof.
7 Il fit le portique du trône, où il rendait la justice, le portique du jugement; et il le couvrit de cèdre, depuis le sol jusqu'au plafond.

7 Hizo asimismo el pórtico del trono en que había de juzgar, el pórtico del juicio, y vistiólo de cedro de suelo á suelo.
7 Und baute eine Halle zum Richtstuhl, darin man Gericht hielt, und täfelte sie vom Boden bis zur Decke mit Zedern.
8 And the house for his living-place, the other open square in the covered room, was made in the same way. And then he made a house like it for Pharaoh's daughter, whom Solomon had taken as his wife.
8 Sa maison d'habitation fut construite de la même manière, dans une autre cour, derrière le portique. Et il fit une maison du même genre que ce portique pour la fille de Pharaon, qu'il avait prise pour femme.

9 All these buildings were made, inside and out, from base to crowning stone, and outside to the great walled square, of highly priced stone, cut to different sizes with cutting-instruments.
9 Pour toutes ces constructions on employa de magnifiques pierres, taillées d'après des mesures, sciées avec la scie, intérieurement et extérieurement, et cela depuis les fondements jusqu'aux corniches, et en dehors jusqu'à la grande cour.

9 Todas aquellas obras fueron de piedras de precio, cortadas y aserradas con sierras según las medidas, así por de dentro como por de fuera, desde el cimiento hasta los remates, y asimismo por de fuera hasta el gran atrio.

10 And the base was of great masses of highly priced stone, some ten cubits and some eight cubits square.

12 The great outer square all round was walled with three lines of squared stones and a line of cedar-wood boards, round about the open square inside the house of the Lord and the covered room of the king's house.
12 La grande cour avait dans tout son circuit trois rangées de pierres de taille et une rangée de poutres de cèdre, comme le parvis intérieur de la maison de l'Éternel, et comme le portique de la maison.

13 Then King Solomon sent and got Hiram from Tyre.

14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; he was full of wisdom and knowledge and an expert worker in brass. He came to King Solomon and did all his work for him.
14 fils d'une veuve de la tribu de Nephthali, et d'un père Tyrien, qui travaillait sur l'airain. Hiram était rempli de sagesse, d'intelligence, et de savoir pour faire toutes sortes d'ouvrages d'airain. Il arriva auprès du roi Salomon, et il exécuta tous ses ouvrages.
14 Ba mhac baintrí de threibh Naftáilí é, lán de thuiscint agus an-eolgaiseach i mbun déantúis chré- umha. Tháinig sé chuig Solamh agus rinne an obair seo go léir dó:
14 Hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Nephtalí, y su padre había sido de Tiro: trabajaba él en bronce, lleno de sabiduría y de inteligencia y saber en toda obra de metal. Este pues vino al rey Salomón, é hizo toda su obra.
14 einer Witwe Sohn aus dem Stamm Naphthali, und sein Vater war ein Mann von Tyrus gewesen; der war ein Meister im Erz, voll Weisheit, Verstand und Kunst, zu arbeiten allerlei Erzwerk. Da er zum König Salomo kam, machte er alle seine Werke.
15 He it was who made the two brass pillars; the first pillar was eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits went round it; and the second was the same.
15 Il fit les deux colonnes d'airain. La première avait dix-huit coudées de hauteur, et un fil de douze coudées mesurait la circonférence de la seconde.

16 And he made the two crowns to be put on the tops of the pillars, of brass made soft in the fire; the crowns were five cubits high.
16 Il fondit deux chapiteaux d'airain, pour mettre sur les sommets des colonnes; le premier avait cinq coudées de hauteur, et le second avait cinq coudées de hauteur.

16 Hizo también dos capiteles de fundición de bronce, para que fuesen puestos sobre las cabezas de las columnas: la altura de un capitel era de cinco codos, y la del otro capitel de cinco codos.
16 Und machte zwei Knäufe, von Erz gegossen, oben auf die Säulen zu setzen und ein jeglicher Knauf war fünf Ellen hoch.
17 There were nets of open-work for the crowns on the tops of the pillars, a net of open-work for one and a net of open-work for the other.
17 Il fit des treillis en forme de réseaux, des festons façonnés en chaînettes, pour les chapiteaux qui étaient sur le sommet des colonnes, sept pour le premier chapiteau, et sept pour le second chapiteau.

18 And he made ornaments of apples; and two lines of apples all round over the network, covering the crowns of the pillars, the two crowns in the same way.
18 Il fit deux rangs de grenades autour de l'un des treillis, pour couvrir le chapiteau qui était sur le sommet d'une des colonnes; il fit de même pour le second chapiteau.

19 The crowns on the tops of the pillars were ornamented with a design of flowers, and were four cubits across.

20 And there were crowns on the two pillars near the round part by the network, and there were two hundred apples in lines round every crown.
20 Les chapiteaux placés sur les deux colonnes étaient entourés de deux cents grenades, en haut, près du renflement qui était au delà du treillis; il y avait aussi deux cents grenades rangées autour du second chapiteau.

21 He put up the pillars at the doorway of the Temple, naming the one on the right Jachin, and that on the left Boaz.
21 Il dressa les colonnes dans le portique du temple; il dressa la colonne de droite, et la nomma Jakin; puis il dressa la colonne de gauche, et la nomma Boaz.

21 Estas columnas erigió en el pórtico del templo: y cuando hubo alzado la columna de la mano derecha, púsole por nombre Jachîn: y alzando la columna de la mano izquierda, llamó su nombre Boaz.
21 Und er richtete die Säulen auf vor der Halle des Tempels. Und die er zur rechten Hand setzte, hieß er Jachin, und die er zur linken Hand setzte, hieß er Boas.
22 The tops of the pillars had a design of flowers; and the work of making the pillars was complete.

23 Und er machte ein Meer, gegossen von einem Rand zum andern zehn Ellen weit, rundumher, und fünf Ellen hoch, und eine Schnur dreißig Ellen lang war das Maß ringsum.
24 And under the edge of it, circling it all round for ten cubits, were two lines of flower buds, made together with it from liquid metal.
24 Des coloquintes l'entouraient au-dessous de son bord, dix par coudées, faisant tout le tour de la mer; les coloquintes, disposées sur deux rangs, étaient fondues avec elle en une seule pièce.

24 Y cercaban aquel mar por debajo de su labio en derredor unas bolas como calabazas, diez en cada codo, que ceñían el mar alrededor en dos órdenes, las cuales habían sido fundidas cuando él fué fundido.
24 Und um das Meer gingen Knoten an seinem Rande rings ums Meer her, je zehn auf eine Elle; der Knoten aber waren zwei Reihen gegossen.
25 It was supported on twelve oxen, with their back parts turned to the middle of it, three of them facing to the north, three to the west, three to the south, and three to the east; the vessel was resting on top of them.
25 Elle était posée sur douze boeufs, dont trois tournés vers le nord, trois tournés vers l'occident, trois tournés vers le midi, et trois tournés vers l'orient; la mer était sur eux, et toute la partie postérieure de leur corps était en dedans.

25 Y estaba asentado sobre doce bueyes: tres miraban al norte, y tres miraban al poniente, y tres miraban al mediodía, y tres miraban al oriente; sobre éstos se apoyaba el mar, y las traseras de ellos estaban hacia la parte de adentro.
25 Und es stand auf zwölf Rindern, deren drei gegen Mitternacht gewandt waren, drei gegen Abend, drei gegen Mittag und drei gegen Morgen, und das Meer obendrauf, daß alle ihre Hinterteile inwendig waren.
26 It was as thick as a man's open hand, and was curved like the edge of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it would take two thousand baths.
26 Son épaisseur était d'un palme; et son bord, semblable au bord d'une coupe, était façonné en fleur de lis. Elle contenait deux mille baths.

27 And he made ten wheeled bases of brass; every one four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high.

28 And the bases were made in this way; their sides were square, fixed in a framework;
28 Voici en quoi consistaient ces bases. Elles étaient formées de panneaux, liés aux coins par des montants.

29 And on the square sides between the frames were lions, oxen, and winged ones; and the same on the frame; and over and under the lions and the oxen and the winged ones were steps.
29 Sur les panneaux qui étaient entre les montants il y avait des lions, des boeufs et des chérubins; et sur les montants, au-dessus comme au-dessous des lions et des boeufs, il y avait des ornements qui pendaient en festons.

29 Y sobre aquellas cintas que estaban entre las molduras, figuras de leones, y de bueyes, y de querubines; y sobre las molduras de la basa, así encima como debajo de los leones y de los bueyes, había unas añadiduras de bajo relieve.
29 Und an den Seiten zwischen den Leisten waren Löwen, Ochsen und Cherubim. Und die Seiten, daran die Löwen und Ochsen waren, hatten Leisten oben und unten, dazu herabhängende Kränze.
30 Every base had four wheels of brass, turning on brass rods, and their four angles had angle-plates under them; the angle-plates under the base were of metal, and there were ornaments at the side of every one.
30 Chaque base avait quatre roues d'airain avec des essieux d'airain; et aux quatre angles étaient des consoles de fonte, au-dessous du bassin, et au delà des festons.

30 Und ein jegliches Gestühl hatte vier eherne Räder mit ehernem Gestell. Und auf vier Ecken waren Achseln gegossen, eine jegliche der andern gegenüber, unten an den Kessel gelehnt.
31 The mouth of it inside the angle-plate was one cubit across; it was round like a pillar, a cubit and a half across; it had designs cut on it; the sides were square, not round.
31 Le couronnement de la base offrait à son intérieur une ouverture avec un prolongement d'une coudée vers le haut; cette ouverture était ronde, comme pour les ouvrages de ce genre, et elle avait une coudée et demie de largeur; il s'y trouvait aussi des sculptures. Les panneaux étaient carrés, et non arrondis.
31 Ba é tomhas a bhéil, ón mball inar tháinig na teanntaí le chéile go dtí a bharr, banlámh go leith. Bhí a bhéal cruinn, ar aon dul le taca faoi áras, agus ar an mbéal bhí íomhánna greanta. Ní cruinn a bhí na trasnáin, ach dronuilleogach.
31 Y la boca del pie de la fuente entraba un codo en el remate que salía para arriba de la basa; y era su boca redonda, de la hechura del mismo remate, y éste de codo y medio. Había también sobre la boca entalladuras con sus cintas, las cuales eran cuadradas, no redondas.
31 Aber der Hals mitten auf dem Gestühl war eine Elle hoch und rund, anderthalb Ellen weit, und waren Buckeln an dem Hals, in Feldern, die viereckig waren und nicht rund.
32 The four wheels were under the frames, and the rods on which the wheels were fixed were in the base; the wheels were a cubit and a half high.

33 The wheels were made like carriage-wheels, the rods on which they were fixed, the parts forming their edges, their rods and the middle points of them, were all formed out of liquid metal.

34 And there were four angle-plates at the four angles of every base, forming part of the structure of the base.

35 And at the top of the base there was a round vessel, half a cubit high;

39 And he put the bases by the house, five on the right side and five on the left; and he put the great water-vessel on the right side of the house, to the east, facing south.

40 And Hiram made the pots and spades and the basins. So Hiram came to the end of all the work he did for King Solomon in the house of the Lord:

51 So all the work King Solomon had done in the house of the Lord was complete. Then Solomon took the holy things which David his father had given, the silver and the gold and all the vessels, and put them in the store-houses of the house of the Lord.
51 Ainsi fut achevé tout l'ouvrage que le roi Salomon fit pour la maison de l'Éternel. Puis il apporta l'argent, l'or et les ustensiles, que David, son père, avait consacrés, et il les mit dans les trésors de la maison de l'Éternel.
