1 Now the time of David's death came near; and he gave orders to Solomon his son, saying,
1 David approchait du moment de sa mort, et il donna ses ordres à Salomon, son fils, en disant:

1 Y Llegaronse los días de David para morir, y mandó á Salomón su hijo, diciendo:
1 Als nun die Zeit herbeikam, daß David sterben sollte, gebot er seinem Sohn Salomo und sprach:
2 I am going the way of all the earth: so be strong and be a man;
2 Je m'en vais par le chemin de toute la terre. Fortifie-toi, et sois un homme!
2 “Táim ag dul ar shlí na fírinne. Bíodh misneach agat agus iompair thú féin go fearúil.
2 Yo voy el camino de toda la tierra: esfuérzate, y sé varón.
2 Ich gehe hin den Weg aller Welt; so sei getrost und sei ein Mann
3 And keep the orders of the Lord your God, walking in his ways, keeping his laws and his orders and his rules and his words, as they are recorded in the law of Moses; so that you may do well in all you do and wherever you go,
3 Observe les commandements de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en marchant dans ses voies, et en gardant ses lois, ses ordonnances, ses jugements et ses préceptes, selon ce qui est écrit dans la loi de Moïse, afin que tu réussisses dans tout ce que tu feras et partout où tu te tourneras,
3 Cuir orduithe an Tiarna do Dhia i gcrích, lean a shlite agus comhlíon a dhlíthe, a aitheanta, a nósanna, a reachtanna faoi mar atá scríofa i ndlí Mhaois. Ar an dóigh sin beidh an rath ar gach rud a dhéanfaidh tú agus a ghlacfaidh tú ar láimh,
3 Guarda la ordenanza de Jehová tu Dios, andando en sus caminos, y observando sus estatutos y mandamientos, y sus derechos y sus testimonios, de la manera que está escrito en la ley de Moisés, para que seas dichoso en todo lo que hicieres, y en todo aquello á que te tornares;
3 und warte des Dienstes des HERRN, deines Gottes, daß du wandelst in seinen Wegen und haltest seine Sitten, Gebote und Rechte und Zeugnisse, wie geschrieben steht im Gesetz Mose's, auf daß du klug seist in allem, was du tust und wo du dich hin wendest;
4 So that the Lord may give effect to what he said of me, If your children give attention to their ways, living uprightly before me with all their heart and their soul, you will never be without a man to be king in Israel.
4 et afin que l'Éternel accomplisse cette parole qu'il a prononcée sur moi: Si tes fils prennent garde à leur voie, en marchant avec fidélité devant moi, de tout leur coeur, et de toute leur âme, tu ne manqueras jamais d'un successeur sur le trône d'Israël.
4 agus cuirfidh an Tiarna i gcrích an gealltanas a thug sé dom á rá: ‘Má bhíonn do chlann mhac aireach faoina n‑iompar agus leanúint go dílis dom le lán a gcroí agus a n‑anama ní bheidh tú go brách gan fear i gcoróin ar Iosrael.’
4 Para que confirme Jehová la palabra que me habló, diciendo: Si tus hijos guardaren su camino, andando delante de mí con verdad, de todo su corazón, y de toda su alma, jamás, dice, faltará á ti varón del trono de Israel.
4 auf daß der HERR sein Wort erwecke, das er über mich geredet hat und gesagt: Werden deine Kinder ihre Wege behüten, daß sie vor mir treulich und von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele wandeln, so soll dir nimmer gebrechen ein Mann auf dem Stuhl Israels.
5 Now you have knowledge of what Joab, the son of Zeruiah, did to me, and to the two captains of the army of Israel, Abner, the son of Ner, and Amasa, the son of Jether, whom he put to death, taking payment for the blood of war in time of peace, and making the band of my clothing and the shoes on my feet red with the blood of one put to death without cause.
5 Tu sais ce que m'a fait Joab, fils de Tseruja, ce qu'il a fait à deux chefs de l'armée d'Israël, à Abner, fils de Ner, et à Amassa, fils de Jéther. Il les a tués; il a versé pendant la paix le sang de la guerre, et il a mis le sang de la guerre sur la ceinture qu'il avait aux reins et sur la chaussure qu'il avait aux pieds.
5 “Rud eile dhe, tá a fhios agat cad a rinne Ióáb mac Zarúá liom, agus cad a rinne sé le beirt cheannaire arm Iosrael, Aibnéar mac Néar agus Amásá mac Ieitir; conas mar a dhúnmharaigh sé iad; conas mar a rinne sé díoltas le linn síochána ar son fola a doirteadh le linn cogaidh; conas mar a smear sé crios mo choime agus cuaráin mo chos le fuil neamhchiontach.
5 Y ya sabes tú lo que me ha hecho Joab hijo de Sarvia, lo que hizo á dos generales del ejército de Israel, á Abner hijo de Ner, y á Amasa hijo de Jether, los cuales él mató, derramando en paz la sangre de guerra, y poniendo la sangre de guerra en su talabarte que tenía sobre sus lomos, y en sus zapatos que tenía en sus pies.
5 Auch weißt du wohl, was mir getan hat Joab, der Sohn der Zeruja, was er tat den zwei Feldhauptmännern Israels, Abner dem Sohn Ners, und Amasa, dem Sohn Jethers, die er erwürgt hat und vergoß Kriegsblut im Frieden und tat Kriegsblut an seinen Gürtel, der um seine Lenden war, und an seine Schuhe, die an seinen Füßen waren.
6 So be guided by your wisdom, and let not his white head go down to the underworld in peace.
6 Tu agiras selon ta sagesse, et tu ne laisseras pas ses cheveux blancs descendre en paix dans le séjour des morts.
6 Bíodh sé de chiall agat gan ligean dá cheann liath dul síos go Seol faoi shíocháin.
6 Tú pues harás conforme á tu sabiduría; no dejarás descender sus canas á la huesa en paz.
6 Tue nach deiner Weisheit, daß du seine grauen Haare nicht mit Frieden hinunter in die Grube bringst.
7 But be good to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be guests at your table; for so they came to me when I went in flight from Absalom your brother.
7 Tu traiteras avec bienveillance les fils de Barzillaï, le Galaadite, et ils seront de ceux qui se nourrissent de ta table; car ils ont agi de la même manière à mon égard, en venant au-devant de moi lorsque je fuyais Absalom, ton frère.
7 Ach maidir le clann mhac Bhairzilí ó Ghileád, bí lách leo faoi mar a bhíodarsan lách liomsa nuair a bhí mé ag teitheadh ó do dheartháir Aibseálóm, agus lig dóibh suí chun boird le do chuideachta.
7 Mas á los hijos de Barzillai Galaadita harás misericordia, que sean de los convidados á tu mesa; porque ellos vinieron así á mí, cuando iba huyendo de Absalom tu hermano.
7 Aber den Kindern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, sollst du Barmherzigkeit beweisen, daß sie an deinem Tisch essen. Denn also nahten sie zu mir, da ich vor Absalom, deinem Bruder, floh.
8 Now you have with you Shimei, the son of Gera the Benjamite of Bahurim, who put a bitter curse on me on the day when I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to see me at Jordan, and I gave him my oath by the Lord, saying, I will not put you to death by the sword.
8 Voici, tu as près de toi Schimeï, fils de Guéra, Benjamite, de Bachurim. Il a prononcé contre moi des malédictions violentes le jour où j'allais à Mahanaïm. Mais il descendit à ma rencontre vers le Jourdain, et je lui jurai par l'Éternel, en disant: Je ne te ferai point mourir par l'épée.
8 Tá Simeí mac Ghéará, an Biniáimineach ó Bhachúraím, i do theannta chomh maith. Chuir seisean mallacht mhillteach orm an lá a chuir mé chun bealaigh go Machanáím; ach tháinig sé anuas faoi mo dhéin ag an Iordáin agus mhionnaigh mé dó dar an Tiarna á rá: ‘Ní imreoidh mé an claíomh go marfach ort.’
8 También tienes contigo á Semei hijo de Gera, hijo de Benjamín, de Bahurim, el cual me maldijo con una maldición fuerte el día que yo iba á Mahanaim. Mas él mismo descendió á recibirme al Jordán, y yo le juré por Jehová, diciendo: Yo no te mataré á cuchillo.
8 Und siehe, du hast bei mir Simei, den Sohn Geras, den Benjaminiter von Bahurim, der mir schändlich fluchte zu der Zeit, da ich gen Mahanaim ging. Er aber kam herab mir entgegen am Jordan. Da schwur ich ihm bei dem HERRN und sprach: Ich will dich nicht töten mit dem Schwert.
9 But do not let him be free from punishment, for you are a wise man; and it will be clear to you what you have to do with him; see that his white head goes down to the underworld in blood.
9 Maintenant, tu ne le laisseras pas impuni; car tu es un homme sage, et tu sais comment tu dois le traiter. Tu feras descendre ensanglantés ses cheveux blancs dans le séjour des morts.
9 Ach ná scaoilse leis gan phionós; mar is duine ciallmhar thusa agus beidh a fhios agat conas plé leis agus a cheann liath a chur síos go Seol faoi dhoirteadh fola.”
9 Empero ahora no lo absolverás: que hombre sabio eres, y sabes cómo te has de haber con él: y harás descender sus canas con sangre á la sepultura.
9 Du aber laß ihn nicht unschuldig sein; denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wohl wissen, was du ihm tun sollst, daß du seine grauen Haare mit Blut hinunter in die Grube bringst.
10 Then David went to rest with his fathers, and his body was put into the earth in the town of David.
10 David se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré dans la ville de David.
10 Ansin thit codladh an bháis ar Dháiví dála a shinsear roimhe agus adhlacadh é i nDúnfort Dháiví.
10 Y David durmió con sus padres, y fué sepultado en la ciudad de David.
10 Also entschlief David mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben in der Stadt Davids.
11 David was king over Israel for forty years: for seven years he was king in Hebron and for thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
11 Le temps que David régna sur Israël fut de quarante ans: à Hébron il régna sept ans, et à Jérusalem il régna trente-trois ans.
11 Bhí daichead bliain caite aige ina rí ar Iosrael, seacht mbliana acu i Heabrón agus trí bliana tríochad i Iarúsailéim.
11 Los días que reinó David sobre Israel fueron cuarenta años: siete años reinó en Hebrón, y treinta y tres años reinó en Jerusalem.
11 Die Zeit aber, die David König gewesen ist über Israel, ist vierzig Jahre: sieben Jahre war er König zu Hebron und dreiunddreißig Jahre zu Jerusalem.
12 And Solomon took his place on the seat of David his father, and his kingdom was made safe and strong.
12 Salomon s'assit sur le trône de David, son père, et son règne fut très affermi.

12 Y se sentó Salomón en el trono de David su padre, y fué su reino firme en gran manera.
12 Und Salomo saß auf dem Stuhl seines Vaters David, und sein Königreich ward sehr beständig.
13 Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, came to Bath-sheba, the mother of Solomon. And she said, Come you in peace? And he said, Yes, in peace.
13 Adonija, fils de Haggith, alla vers Bath Schéba, mère de Salomon. Elle lui dit: Viens-tu dans des intentions paisibles? Il répondit: Oui.
13 Chuaigh Adoiníá mac Haigít go Baitseaba máthair Sholaimh [agus chrom le hómós di]. “An turas síochánta é seo agat?” a d'fhiafraigh sí. D'fhreagair sé: “Sea, turas síochánta.”
13 Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith vino á Bath-sheba madre de Salomón; y ella dijo: ¿Es tu venida de paz? Y él respondió: Sí, de paz.
13 Aber Adonia, der Sohn der Haggith, kam hinein zu Bath-Seba, der Mutter Salomos. Und sie sprach: Kommst du auch in Frieden? Er sprach: Ja!
14 Then he said, I have something to say to you. And she said, Say on.
14 Et il ajouta: J'ai un mot à te dire. Elle dit: Parle!
14 “Tá rud éigin le rá agam leat,” ar sé léi ansin. “Abair leat,” ar sí.
14 En seguida dijo: Una palabra tengo que decirte. Y ella dijo: Di.
14 und sprach: Ich habe mit dir zu reden. Sie sprach: Sage an!
15 And he said, You saw how the kingdom was mine, and all Israel had the idea that I would be their king; but now the kingdom is turned about, and has become my brother's, for it was given to him by the Lord.
15 Et il dit: Tu sais que la royauté m'appartenait, et que tout Israël portait ses regards sur moi pour me faire régner. Mais la royauté a tourné, et elle est échue à mon frère, parce que l'Éternel la lui a donnée.
15 “Tá a fhios agat,” ar sé, “gur chóir go dtitfeadh an ríocht liomsa, agus go raibh súil ag Iosrael go léir go mbeinnse i mo rí; ach ghabh an ríocht tharam agus thit sí le mo dheartháir mar gur dó a cheap an Tiarna í.
15 Y él dijo: Tú sabes que el reino era mío, y que todo Israel había puesto en mí su rostro, para que yo reinara: mas el reino fué traspasado, y vino á mi hermano; porque por Jehová era suyo.
15 Er sprach: Du weißt, daß das Königreich mein war und ganz Israel hatte sich auf mich gerichtet, daß ich König sein sollte; aber nun ist das Königreich gewandt und meines Bruders geworden, von dem HERRN ist's ihm geworden.
16 Now I have one request to make to you, and do not say, No, to me. And she said to him, Say on.
16 Maintenant, je te demande une chose: ne me la refuse pas! Elle lui répondit: Parle!
16 Tá aon achainí amháin agam ort; ná tabhair an t‑eiteach dom.” “Abair leat,” ar sise leis.
16 Y ahora yo te hago una petición: no me hagas volver mi rostro. Y ella le dijo: Habla.
16 Nun bitte ich eine Bitte von dir; du wolltest mein Angesicht nicht beschämen. Sie sprach zu ihm: Sage an!
17 Then he said, Will you go to Solomon the king (for he will not say, No, to you) and put before him my request that he will give me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife?
17 Et il dit: Dis, je te prie, au roi Salomon-car il ne te le refusera pas-qu'il me donne pour femme Abischag, la Sunamite.
17 Lean sé air: “Iarr ar Sholamh rí, le do thoil, Aibíseag ó Shiúnaem a thabhairt dom mar bhean.”
17 El entonces dijo: Yo te ruego que hables al rey Salomón, (porque él no te hará volver tu rostro,) para que me dé á Abisag Sunamita por mujer.
17 Er sprach: Rede mit dem König Salomo, denn er wird dein Angesicht nicht beschämen, daß er mir gebe Abisag von Sunem zum Weibe.
18 And Bath-sheba said, Good! I will make your request to the king.
18 Bath Schéba dit: Bien! je parlerai pour toi au roi.
18 “Ceart go leor,” arsa Baitseaba, “labhróidh mé leis an rí ar do shon.”
18 Y Bath-sheba dijo: Bien; yo hablaré por ti al rey.
18 Bath-Seba sprach: Wohl, ich will mit dem König deinethalben reden.
19 So Bath-sheba went to King Solomon to have talk with him on Adonijah's account. And the king got up to come to her, and went down low to the earth before her; then he took his place on the king's seat and had a seat made ready for the king's mother and she took her place at his right hand.
19 Bath Schéba se rendit auprès du roi Salomon, pour lui parler en faveur d'Adonija. Le roi se leva pour aller à sa rencontre, il se prosterna devant elle, et il s'assit sur son trône. On plaça un siège pour la mère du roi, et elle s'assit à sa droite.
19 Chuaigh Baitseaba go Solamh rí le labhairt leis ar son Adoiníá. D'éirigh an rí roimpi ag teacht di agus chrom in ómós di; shuigh sé ansin ina ríchathaoir agus tugadh cathaoir isteach do mháthair an rí, agus shuigh sí ar a dheis.
19 Y vino Bath-sheba al rey Salomón para hablarle por Adonía. Y el rey se levantó á recibirla, é inclinóse á ella, y volvió á sentarse en su trono, é hizo poner una silla á la madre del rey, la cual se sentó á su diestra.
19 Und Bath-Seba kam hinein zum König Salomo, mit ihm zu reden Adonias halben. Und der König stand auf und ging ihr entgegen und neigte sich vor ihr und setzte sie auf seinen Stuhl. Und es ward der Mutter des Königs ein Stuhl gesetzt, daß sie sich setzte zu seiner Rechten.
20 Then she said, I have one small request to make to you; do not say, No, to me. And the king said, Say on, my mother, for I will not say, No, to you.
20 Puis elle dit: J'ai une petite demande à te faire: ne me la refuse pas! Et le roi lui dit: Demande, ma mère, car je ne te refuserai pas.
20 “Tá aon achainí bheag amháin agam ort,” ar sí, “agus ná tabhair an t‑eiteach dom.” Dúirt an rí léi: “Cuir d'achainí chugam, a mháthair, mar ní thabharfaidh mé an t‑eiteach duit.”
20 Y ella dijo: Una pequeña petición pretendo de ti; no me hagas volver mi rostro. Y el rey le dijo: Pide, madre mía, que yo no te haré volver el rostro.
20 Und sie sprach: Ich bitte eine kleine Bitte von dir; du wollest mein Angesicht nicht beschämen. Der König sprach zu ihr: Bitte, meine Mutter; ich will dein Angesicht nicht beschämen.
21 And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother for a wife.
21 Elle dit: Qu'Abischag, la Sunamite, soit donnée pour femme à Adonija, ton frère.
21 “Tugtar,” ar sí, “Aibíseag ó Shiúnaem d'Adoiníá do dheartháir mar bhean.”
21 Y ella dijo: Dése Abisag Sunamita por mujer á tu hermano Adonía.
21 Sie sprach: Laß Abisag von Sunem deinem Bruder Adonia zum Weibe geben.
22 Then King Solomon made answer and said to his mother, Why are you requesting me to give Abishag the Shunammite to Adonijah? Take the kingdom for him in addition, for he is my older brother, and Abiathar the priest and Joab, the son of Zeruiah, are on his side.
22 Le roi Salomon répondit à sa mère: Pourquoi demandes-tu Abischag, la Sunamite, pour Adonija? Demande donc la royauté pour lui, -car il est mon frère aîné, -pour lui, pour le sacrificateur Abiathar, et pour Joab, fils de Tseruja!
22 D'fhreagair Solamh rí a mháthair: “Cad faoi deara duit Aibíseag ó Shiúnaem a lorg d'Adoiníá mar bhean? Tá sé chomh maith agat an ríocht a lorg dó chomh maith; mar sé mo dheartháir is sine é, agus tá Aibíátár an sagart agus Ióáb mac Zarúá ar a thaobh.”
22 Y el rey Salomón respondió, y dijo á su madre: ¿Por qué pides á Abisag Sunamita para Adonía? Demanda también para él el reino, porque él es mi hermano mayor; y tiene también á Abiathar sacerdote, y á Joab hijo de Sarvia.
22 Da antwortete der König Salomo und sprach zu seiner Mutter: Warum bittest du um Abisag von Sunem für Adonia? Bitte ihm das Königreich auch; denn er ist mein älterer Bruder und hat den Priester Abjathar und Joab, den Sohn der Zeruja.
23 Then King Solomon took an oath by the Lord, saying, May God's punishment be on me if Adonijah does not give payment for these words with his life.
23 Alors le roi Salomon jura par l'Éternel, en disant: Que Dieu me traite dans toute sa rigueur, si ce n'est pas au prix de sa vie qu'Adonija a prononcé cette parole!
23 Ansin mhionnaigh Solamh rí dar an Tiarna á rá: “Go ndéana Dia a leithéid siúd liom, agus a thuilleadh fós,” ar sé, “mura dtugann Adoiníá a anam in éiríc na bhfocal sin!
23 Y el rey Salomón juró por Jehová, diciendo: Así me haga Dios y así me añada, que contra su vida ha hablado Adonía esta palabra.
23 und der König Salomo schwur bei dem HERRN und sprach: Gott tue mir dies und das, Adonia soll das wider sein Leben geredet haben!
24 Now by the living Lord, who has given me my place on the seat of David my father, and made me one of a line of kings, as he gave me his word, truly Adonijah will be put to death this day.
24 Maintenant, l'Éternel est vivant, lui qui m'a affermi et m'a fait asseoir sur le trône de David, mon père, et qui m'a fait une maison selon sa promesse! aujourd'hui Adonija mourra.
24 Dar an Tiarna beo, an té sin a chuir mé go daingean i ríchathaoir Dháiví m'athair, agus a thug ríshliocht [dó] mar a gheall sé, cuirfear Adoiníá chun báis inniu féin.”
24 Ahora pues, vive Jehová, que me ha confirmado y me ha puesto sobre el trono de David mi padre, y que me ha hecho casa, como me había dicho, que Adonía morirá hoy.
24 Und nun, so wahr der HERR lebt, der mich bestätigt hat und sitzen lassen auf dem Stuhl meines Vaters David und der mir ein Haus gemacht hat, wie er geredet hat, heute soll Adonia sterben!
25 And King Solomon sent Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and he made an attack on him and put him to death.
25 Et le roi Salomon envoya Benaja, fils de Jehojada, qui le frappa; et Adonija mourut.
25 Sheol Solamh rí Banáiá mac Iahóideá á threascairt, agus fuair sé bás. Pionós ar Aibíátár agus ar Ióáb
25 Entonces el rey Salomón envió por mano de Benaía hijo de Joiada, el cual dió sobre él, y murió.
25 Und der König Salomo sandte hin Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas; der schlug ihn, daß er starb.
26 And to Abiathar the priest the king said, Go to Anathoth, to your fields; for death would be your right reward; but I will not put you to death now, because you took up the ark of the Lord God before David my father, and you were with him in all his troubles.
26 Le roi dit ensuite au sacrificateur Abiathar: Va-t'en à Anathoth dans tes terres, car tu mérites la mort; mais je ne te ferai pas mourir aujourd'hui, parce que tu as porté l'arche du Seigneur l'Éternel devant David, mon père, et parce que tu as eu part à toutes les souffrances de mon père.
26 Agus maidir le hAibíátár an sagart, dúirt an rí leis: “Imigh leat go hAnatót go dtí do thailte. Mar tá an bás tuillte agat, ach ní chuirfidh mé chun báis anois thú mar gur iompair tú áirc an Tiarna os comhair Dháiví m'athair agus go raibh páirt agat in anró m'athar go léir.”
26 Y á Abiathar sacerdote dijo el rey: Vete á Anathoth á tus heredades, que tú eres digno de muerte; mas no te mataré hoy, por cuanto has llevado el arca del Señor Jehová delante de David mi padre, y además has sido trabajado en todas las cosas en que fué trabajado mi padre.
26 Und zu dem Priester Abjathar sprach der König: Gehe hin gen Anathoth zu deinem Acker; denn du bist des Todes. Aber ich will dich heute nicht töten; denn du hast die Lade des HERRN HERRN vor meinem Vater David getragen und hast mitgelitten, wo mein Vater gelitten hat.
27 So Solomon let Abiathar be priest no longer, so that he might make the word of the Lord come true which he said about the sons of Eli in Shiloh.
27 Ainsi Salomon dépouilla Abiathar de ses fonctions de sacrificateur de l'Éternel, afin d'accomplir la parole que l'Éternel avait prononcée sur la maison d'Éli à Silo.
27 Bhain Solamh sagartacht an Tiarna d'Aibíátár agus chomhlíon sé ar an gcuma sin briathar an Tiarna, an briathar a labhair sé in aghaidh theaghlach Éilí i Sileo.
27 Así echó Salomón á Abiathar del sacerdocio de Jehová, para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová que había dicho sobre la casa de Eli en Silo.
27 Also verstieß Salomo den Abjathar, daß er nicht durfte Priester des HERRN sein, auf daß erfüllet würde des HERRN Wort, das er über das Haus Elis geredet hatte zu Silo.
28 And news of this came to Joab; for Joab had been one of Adonijah's supporters, though he had not been on Absalom's side. Then Joab went in flight to the Tent of the Lord, and put his hands on the horns of the altar.
28 Le bruit en parvint à Joab, qui avait suivi le parti d'Adonija, quoiqu'il n'eût pas suivi le parti d'Absalom. Et Joab se réfugia vers la tente de l'Éternel, et saisit les cornes de l'autel.
28 Nuair a fuair Ióáb an scéala - mar thug Ióáb a thacaíocht d'Adoiníá cé nár thug d'Aibseálóm - theith sé go both an Tiarna agus rug greim ar bheanna na haltóra.
28 Y vino la noticia hasta Joab: porque también Joab se había adherido á Adonía, si bien no se había adherido á Absalom. Y huyó Joab al tabernáculo de Jehová, y asióse á los cornijales del altar.
28 Und dies Gerücht kam vor Joab; denn Joab hatte an Adonia gehangen, wiewohl nicht an Absalom. Da floh Joab in die Hütte des HERRN und faßte die Hörner des Altars.
29 And they said to King Solomon, Joab has gone in flight to the Tent of the Lord and is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, make an attack on him.
29 On annonça au roi Salomon que Joab s'était réfugié vers la tente de l'Éternel, et qu'il était auprès de l'autel. Et Salomon envoya Benaja, fils de Jehojada, en lui disant: Va, frappe-le.
29 Insíodh do Sholamh rí: “Theith Ióáb go both an Tiarna; tá sé ansiúd le taobh na haltóra.” [Ansin chuir Solamh scéala go Ióáb: “Cén fáth ar theith tú chun na haltóra?” D'fhreagair Ióáb: “Bhí eagla orm romhat.”] Ansin chuir Solamh Banáiá mac Iahóideá uaidh á rá: “Imigh agus treascair é!”
29 Y fué hecho saber á Salomón que Joab había huído al tabernáculo de Jehová, y que estaba junto al altar. Entonces envió Salomón á Benaía hijo de Joiada, diciendo: Ve, y da sobre él.
29 Und es ward dem König Salomo angesagt, daß Joab zur Hütte des HERRN geflohen wäre, und siehe, er steht am Altar. Da sandte Salomo hin Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, und sprach: Gehe, schlage ihn!
30 And Benaiah came to the Tent of the Lord and said to him, The king says, Come out. And he said, No; but let death come to me here. And Benaiah went back to the king and gave him word of the answer which Joab had given.
30 Benaja arriva à la tente de l'Éternel, et dit à Joab: Sors! c'est le roi qui l'ordonne. Mais il répondit: Non! je veux mourir ici. Benaja rapporta la chose au roi, en disant: C'est ainsi qu'a parlé Joab, et c'est ainsi qu'il m'a répondu.
30 Chuaigh Banáiá dá bhrí sin go both an Tiarna. “Ar ordú an rí,” ar sé, “tar amach!” “Ní dhéanfaidh mé,” ar seisean, “gheobhaidh mé bás anseo.” Thug Banáiá scéala ar ais chun an rí: “A leithéid seo a dúirt Ióáb, agus sin é an freagra a thug sé orm.”
30 Y entró Benaía al tabernáculo de Jehová, y díjole: El rey ha dicho que salgas. Y él dijo: No, sino aquí moriré. Y Benaía volvió con esta respuesta al rey, diciendo: Así habló Joab, y así me respondió.
30 Und da Benaja zur Hütte des HERRN kam, sprach er zu ihm: So sagt der König: Gehe heraus! Er sprach: Nein, hier will ich sterben. Und Benaja sagte solches dem König wieder und sprach: So hat Joab geredet, und so hat er mir geantwortet.
31 And the king said, Do as he has said and make an attack on him there, and put his body into the earth; so that you may take away from me and from my family the blood of one put to death by Joab without cause.
31 Le roi dit à Benaja: Fais comme il a dit, frappe-le, et enterre-le; tu ôteras ainsi de dessus moi et de dessus la maison de mon père le sang que Joab a répandu sans cause.
31 “Déan mar a dúirt sé,” d'fhreagair an rí, “treascair é agus déan é a adhlacadh, agus glan díomsa agus de theaghlach m'athar an chiontacht ar son na fola a dhoirt Ióáb gan chúis.
31 Y el rey le dijo: Haz como él ha dicho; mátale y entiérralo, y quita de mí y de la casa de mi padre la sangre que Joab ha derramado injustamente.
31 Der König sprach zu ihm: Tue, wie er geredet hat, und schlage ihn und begrabe ihn, daß du das Blut, das Joab ohne Ursache vergossen hat, von mir tust und von meines Vaters Hause;
32 And the Lord will send back his blood on his head, because of the attack he made on two men more upright and better than himself, putting them to the sword without my father's knowledge; even Abner, the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa, the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.
32 L'Éternel fera retomber son sang sur sa tête, parce qu'il a frappé deux hommes plus justes et meilleurs que lui et les a tués par l'épée, sans que mon père David le sût: Abner, fils de Ner, chef de l'armée d'Israël, et Amasa, fils de Jéther, chef de l'armée de Juda.
32 Fillfidh an Tiarna a bhearta fola ar mhullach a chinn féin air mar, gan fhios do m'athair Dáiví, d'ionsaigh sé agus chuir chun báis le faobhar claímh Aibnéar mac Néar, ceannasaí airm Iosrael, agus Amásá, mac Ieitir, ceannasaí airm Iúdá.
32 Y Jehová hará tornar su sangre sobre su cabeza: que él ha muerto dos varones más justos y mejores que él, á los cuales mató á cuchillo sin que mi padre David supiese nada: á Abner hijo de Ner, general del ejército de Israel, y á Amasa hijo de Jether, general de ejército de Judá.
32 und der HERR bezahle ihm sein Blut auf seinen Kopf, daß er zwei Männer erschlagen hat, die gerechter und besser waren denn er, und hat sie erwürgt mit dem Schwert, daß mein Vater David nichts darum wußte: Abner, den Sohn Ners, den Feldhauptmann über Israel, und Amasa, den Sohn Jethers, den Feldhauptmann über Juda;
33 So their blood will be on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed for ever; but for David and his seed and his family and the seat of his kingdom, there will be peace for ever from the Lord.
33 Leur sang retombera sur la tête de Joab et sur la tête de ses descendants à perpétuité; mais il y aura paix à toujours, de par l'Éternel, pour David, pour sa postérité, pour sa maison et pour son trône.
33 Go bhfille a bhfuil sa mhullach ar Ióáb agus ar a shliocht go brách, ach go raibh síocháin ón Tiarna go brách ar Dháiví, ar a shliocht, ar a ríora, agus ar a ríchathaoir.”
33 La sangre pues de ellos recaerá sobre la cabeza de Joab, y sobre la cabeza de su simiente para siempre: mas sobre David y sobre su simiente, y sobre su casa y sobre su trono, habrá perpetuamente paz de parte de Jehová.
33 daß ihr Blut bezahlt werde auf den Kopf Joabs und seines Samens ewiglich, aber David und sein Same, sein Haus und sein Stuhl Frieden habe ewiglich von dem HERRN.
34 So Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, went up, and falling on him, put him to death; and his body was put to rest in his house in the waste land.
34 Benaja, fils de Jehojada, monta, frappa Joab, et le fit mourir. Il fut enterré dans sa maison, au désert.
34 Ghabh Banáiá mac Iahóideá suas ansin, threascair Ióáb agus chuir chun báis é; adhlacadh é ina theach féin san fhásach.
34 Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada subió, y dió sobre él, y matólo; y fué sepultado en su casa en el desierto.
34 Und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, ging hinauf und schlug ihn und tötete ihn. Und er ward begraben in seinem Hause in der Wüste.
35 And the king put Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, in his place over the army; and Zadok the priest he put in the place of Abiathar.
35 Le roi mit à la tête de l'armée Benaja, fils de Jehojada, en remplacement de Joab, et il mit le sacrificateur Tsadok à la place d'Abiathar.
35 Cheap an rí Banáiá mac Iahóideá ina cheannasaí ar an arm ina áit, agus Zádóc an sagart in áit Aibíátár. Bás Shimeí
35 Y el rey puso en su lugar á Benaía hijo de Joiada sobre el ejército: y á Sadoc puso el rey por sacerdote en lugar de Abiathar.
35 Und der König setzte Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, an seine Statt über das Heer, und Zadok, den Priester, setzte der König an die Statt Abjathars.
36 Then the king sent for Shimei, and said to him, Make a house for yourself in Jerusalem and keep there and go to no other place.
36 Le roi fit appeler Schimeï, et lui dit: Bâtis-toi une maison à Jérusalem; tu y demeureras, et tu n'en sortiras point pour aller de côté ou d'autre.
36 Chuir an rí fios ar Shimeí ansin agus ghairm chuige féin é. “Tóg teach duit féin in Iarúsailéim,” ar sé leis, “agus tar chun cónaithe ann agus ná corraigh in aon bhall as an áit sin.
36 Después envió el rey, é hizo venir á Semei, y díjole: Edifícate una casa en Jerusalem, y mora ahí, y no salgas de allá á una parte ni á otra;
36 Und der König sandte hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Baue dir ein Haus zu Jerusalem und wohne daselbst und gehe von da nicht heraus, weder hierher noch daher.
37 For be certain that on the day when you go out and go over the stream Kidron, death will overtake you: and your blood will be on your head.
37 Sache bien que tu mourras le jour où tu sortiras et passeras le torrent de Cédron; ton sang sera sur ta tête.
37 An lá a rachaidh tú amach agus gabháil thar Ghleann Chidreon, bíodh a fhios agat go cinnte go bhfaighidh tú bás; beidh do chuid fola ar do cheann féin.”
37 Porque sabe de cierto que el día que salieres, y pasares el torrente de Cedrón, sin duda morirás, y tu sangre será sobre tu cabeza.
37 Welches Tages du wirst hinausgehen und über den Bach Kidron gehen, so wisse, daß du des Todes sterben mußt; dein Blut sei auf deinem Kopf!
38 And Shimei said to the king, Very well! as my lord the king has said, so will your servant do. And for a long time Shimei went on living in Jerusalem.
38 Schimeï répondit au roi: C'est bien! ton serviteur fera ce que dit mon seigneur le roi. Et Schimeï demeura longtemps à Jérusalem.
38 “Tá go maith,” arsa Simeí leis an rí, “déanfaidh do shearbhónta mar a dúirt an rí.” Agus mhair Simeí tamall fada in Iarúsaileim.
38 Y Semei dijo al rey: La palabra es buena; como el rey mi señor ha dicho, así lo hará tu siervo. Y habitó Semei en Jerusalem muchos días.
38 Simei sprach zum König: Das ist eine gute Meinung; wie mein Herr, der König, geredet hat, so soll dein Knecht tun. Also wohnte Simei zu Jerusalem lange Zeit.
39 But after three years, two of the servants of Shimei went in flight to Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. And word was given to Shimei that his servants had gone to Gath.
39 Au bout de trois ans, il arriva que deux serviteurs de Schimeï s'enfuirent chez Akisch, fils de Maaca, roi de Gath. On le rapporta à Schimeï, en disant: Voici, tes serviteurs sont à Gath.
39 Ach faoi cheann trí bliana, tharla gur theith beirt dhaorán le Simeí go hÁicís, mac Mhácá, rí Ghat. Fuair Simeí scéala: “Tá do dhaoráin i nGat.”
39 Pero pasados tres años, aconteció que se le huyeron á Semei dos siervos á Achîs, hijo de Maachâ, rey de Gath. Y dieron aviso á Semei, diciendo: He aquí que tus siervos están en Gath.
39 Es begab sich aber über drei Jahre, daß zwei Knechte dem Simei entliefen zu Achis, dem Sohn Maachas, dem König zu Gath. Und es ward Simei angesagt: Siehe, deine Knechte sind zu Gath.
40 Then Shimei got up, and making ready his ass, he went to Gath, to Achish, in search of his servants; and he sent and got them from Gath.
40 Schimeï se leva, sella son âne, et s'en alla à Gath chez Akisch pour chercher ses serviteurs. Schimeï donc s'en alla, et il ramena de Gath ses serviteurs.
40 D'éirigh Simeí agus chuir an diallait ar a asal agus d'imigh go hÁicís i nGat ar lorg a dhaorán. D'imigh sé leis agus thug a dhaoráin ar ais ó Ghat.
40 Levantóse entonces Semei, y enalbardó su asno, y fué á Gath, á Achîs, á procurar sus siervos. Fué pues Semei, y volvió sus siervos de Gath.
40 Da machte sich Simei auf und sattelte seinen Esel und zog hin gen Gath zu Achis, daß er seine Knechte suchte. Und da er hinkam, brachte er seine Knechte von Gath.
41 And news was given to Solomon that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had come back again.
41 On informa Salomon que Schimeï était allé de Jérusalem à Gath, et qu'il était de retour.
41 Insíodh do Sholamh go ndeachaigh Simeí ó Iarúsailéim go Gat agus go raibh sé tagtha ar ais.
41 Díjose luego á Salomón como Semei había ido de Jerusalem hasta Gath, y que había vuelto.
41 Und es ward Salomo angesagt, daß Simei hingezogen wäre von Jerusalem gen Gath und wiedergekommen.
42 Then the king sent for Shimei, and said to him, Did I not make you take an oath by the Lord, protesting to you and saying, Be certain that on the day when you go out from here, wherever you go, death will overtake you? and you said to me, Very well!
42 Le roi fit appeler Schimeï, et lui dit: Ne t'avais-je pas fait jurer par l'Éternel, et ne t'avais-je pas fait cette déclaration formelle: Sache bien que tu mourras le jour où tu sortiras pour aller de côté ou d'autre? Et ne m'as-tu pas répondu: C'est bien! j'ai entendu?
42 Chuir an rí fios ar Shimeí agus dúirt leis: “Nár chuir mé d'iallach ort mionn a thabhairt dar an Tiarna, agus nár thug mé rabhadh sollúnta duit á rá: ‘An lá a imeoidh tú agus a rachaidh tú in aon bhall ar bith eile, bí cinnte go bhfaighidh tú bás gan aon agó’? Agus dúirt tú liom: ‘Tá go maith. Géillim duit.’
42 Entonces el rey envió, é hizo venir á Semei, y díjole: ¿No te conjuré yo por Jehová, y te protesté, diciendo: El día que salieres, y fueres acá ó acullá, sabe de cierto que has de morir? Y tú me dijiste: La palabra es buena, yo la obedezco.
42 Da sandte der König hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Habe ich dir nicht geschworen bei dem HERRN und dir bezeugt und gesagt, welches Tages du würdest ausziehen und hierhin oder dahin gehen, daß du wissen solltest, du müßtest des Todes sterben? und du sprachst zu mir: Ich habe eine gute Meinung gehört.
43 Why then have you not kept the oath of the Lord and the order which I gave you?
43 Pourquoi donc n'as-tu pas observé le serment de l'Éternel et l'ordre que je t'avais donné?
43 Cén fáth, dá bhrí sin, nár choimeád tú mionn an Tiarna agus an t‑ordú a thug mé duit?”
43 ¿Por qué pues no guardaste el juramento de Jehová, y el mandamiento que yo te impuse?
43 Warum hast du denn nicht dich gehalten nach dem Eid des HERRN und dem Gebot, das ich dir geboten habe?
44 And the king said to Shimei, You have knowledge of all the evil which you did to David my father; and now the Lord has sent back your evil on yourself.
44 Et le roi dit à Schimeï: Tu sais au dedans de ton coeur tout le mal que tu as fait à David, mon père; l'Éternel fait retomber ta méchanceté sur ta tête.
44 Lean an rí air agus dúirt le Simeí: “Tá a fhios agat i do chroí cén urchóid go léir a rinne tú do m'athair Dáiví. Tabharfaidh an Tiarna d'urchóid sa mhullach ort féin.
44 Dijo además el rey á Semei: Tú sabes todo el mal, el cual tu corazón bien sabe, que cometiste contra mi padre David; Jehová pues, ha tornado el mal sobre tu cabeza.
44 Und der König sprach zu Simei: Du weißt alle die Bosheit, der dir dein Herz bewußt ist, die du meinem Vater David getan hast; der HERR hat deine Bosheit bezahlt auf deinen Kopf,
45 But a blessing will be on King Solomon, and the kingdom of David will keep its place before the Lord for ever.
45 Mais le roi Salomon sera béni, et le trône de David sera pour toujours affermi devant l'Éternel.
45 Ach go raibh beannacht ar Sholamh rí, agus go raibh ríchathaoir Dháiví daingean os comhair an Tiarna go brách.”
45 Y el rey Salomón será bendito, y el trono de David será firme perpetuamente delante de Jehová.
45 und der König Salomo ist gesegnet, und der Stuhl Davids wird beständig sein vor dem HERRN ewiglich.
46 So the king gave orders to Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada; and he went out and, falling on him, put him to death. And Solomon's authority over the kingdom was complete.
46 Et le roi donna ses ordres à Benaja, fils de Jehojada, qui sortit et frappa Schimeï; et Schimeï mourut. La royauté fut ainsi affermie entre les mains de Salomon.
