1 Again the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and moving David against them, he said, Go, take the number of Israel and Judah.
1 La colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma de nouveau contre Israël, et il excita David contre eux, en disant: Va, fais le dénombrement d'Israël et de Juda.
1 Las fearg an Tiarna arís in aghaidh Iosrael agus spreag sé Dáiví ina n‑aghaidh. “Téigh,” ar sé, “agus déan daonáireamh ar Iosrael agus ar Iúdá.”
1 Y Volvio el furor de Jehová á encenderse contra Israel, é incitó á David contra ellos á que dijese: Ve, cuenta á Israel y á Judá.
1 Und der Zorn des HERRN ergrimmte abermals wider Israel und er reizte David wider sie, daß er sprach: Gehe hin, zähle Israel und Juda!
2 And the king said to Joab and the captains of the army, who were with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, and have all the people numbered, so that I may be certain of the number of the people.
2 Et le roi dit à Joab, qui était chef de l'armée et qui se trouvait près de lui: Parcours toutes les tribus d'Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba; qu'on fasse le dénombrement du peuple, et que je sache à combien il s'élève.
2 Dúirt an rí le Ióáb agus leis na hoifigigh shinsir den arm a bhí in éineacht leis: “Imígí libh anois i measc treibheanna Iosrael ó Dhán go Béar Seaba agus déanaigí daonáireamh; is mian liom a fhios a bheith agam cad é líon an phobail.”
2 Y dijo el rey á Joab, general del ejército que tenía consigo: Rodea todas las tribus de Israel, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, y contad el pueblo, para que yo sepa el número de la gente.
2 Und der König sprach zu Joab, seinem Feldhauptmann: Gehe umher in allen Stämmen Israels von Dan an bis gen Beer-Seba und zähle das Volk, daß ich wisse, wieviel sein ist!
3 And Joab said to the king, Whatever the number of the people, may the Lord make it a hundred times as much, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why does my lord the king take pleasure in doing this thing?
3 Joab dit au roi: Que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, rende le peuple cent fois plus nombreux, et que les yeux du roi mon seigneur le voient! Mais pourquoi le roi mon seigneur veut-il faire cela?
3 Dúirt Ióáb leis an rí: “Go gcuire an Tiarna, do Dhia, an rath faoi chéad ar do phobal fad tá súile ag an rí fós chun iad a fheiceáil. Ach cad ab áil le mo thiarna an rí a bheith chomh tógtha leis seo?”
3 Y Joab respondió al rey: Añada Jehová tu Dios al pueblo cien veces tanto como son, y que lo vea mi señor al rey; mas ¿para qué quiere esto mi señor el rey?
3 Joab sprach zu dem König: Der HERR, dein Gott, tue diesem Volk, wie es jetzt ist, noch hundertmal soviel, daß mein Herr, der König, seiner Augen Lust daran sehe; aber was hat mein Herr König zu dieser Sache Lust?
4 But the king's order was stronger than Joab and the captains of the army. And Joab and the captains of the army went out from the king, to take the number of the children of Israel.
4 Le roi persista dans l'ordre qu'il donnait à Joab et aux chefs de l'armée; et Joab et les chefs de l'armée quittèrent le roi pour faire le dénombrement du peuple d'Israël.
4 Ach chuir an rí a ordú i bhfeidhm ar Ióáb agus na hoifigigh shinsir, agus d'imigh Ióáb agus na hoifigigh shinsir leo ó láthair an rí chun daonáireamh a dhéanamh ar phobal Iosrael.
4 Empero la palabra del rey pudo más que Joab, y que los capitanes del ejército. Salió pues Joab, con los capitanes del ejército, de delante del rey, para contar el pueblo de Israel.
4 Aber des Königs Wort stand fest wider Joab und die Hauptleute des Heeres. Also zog Joab aus und die Hauptleute des Heeres von dem König, daß sie das Volk Israel zählten.
5 And they went over Jordan, and starting from Aroer, from the town which is in the middle of the valley, they went in the direction of the Gadites, and on to Jazer;
5 Ils passèrent le Jourdain, et ils campèrent à Aroër, à droite de la ville qui est au milieu de la vallée de Gad, et près de Jaezer.
5 Ghabhadar thar Iordáin agus thosaíodar le hAroéir agus leis an gcathair atá i lár an ghleanna, agus ar aghaidh go Gád agus Iazaer.
5 Y pasando el Jordán asentaron en Aroer, á la mano derecha de la ciudad que está en medio de la arroyada de Gad y junto á Jazer.
5 Und sie gingen über den Jordan und lagerten sich zu Aroer, zur Rechten der Stadt, die am Bach Gad liegt, und gen Jaser hin,
6 Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of the Hittites under Hermon; and they came to Dan, and from Dan they came round to Zidon,
6 Ils allèrent en Galaad et dans le pays de Thachthim Hodschi. Ils allèrent à Dan Jaan, et aux environs de Sidon.
6 Chuadar as sin go Gileád agus go Cáidéis i dtír na Hiteach; ansin chuadar go Dán, agus ó Dhán timpeall go Síodón.
6 Después vinieron á Galaad, y á la tierra baja de Absi: y de allí vinieron á Dan-jaán y alrededor de Sidón.
6 und kamen gen Gilead und ins Niederland Hodsi, und kamen gen Dan-Jaan und um Sidon her,
7 And to the walled town of Tyre, and to all the towns of the Hivites and the Canaanites: and they went out to the South of Judah at Beer-sheba.
7 Ils allèrent à la forteresse de Tyr, et dans toutes les villes des Héviens et des Cananéens. Ils terminèrent par le midi de Juda, à Beer Schéba.
7 Thángadar ansin go daingean na Tuíre agus go cathracha uile na Hiveach agus na gCanánach, agus ag sroicheadh ceann cúrsa i Neigib Iúdá ag Béar Seaba.
7 Y vinieron luego á la fortaleza de Tiro, y á todas las ciudades de los Heveos y de los Cananeos; y salieron al mediodía de Judá, á Beer-seba.
7 und kamen zu der festen Stadt Tyrus und allen Städten der Heviter und Kanaaniter, und kamen hinaus an den Mittag Juda's gen Beer-Seba,
8 So after going through all the land in every direction, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
8 Ils parcoururent ainsi tout le pays, et ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem au bout de neuf mois et vingt jours.
8 Tar éis dóibh gabháil tríd an tír go léir d'fhilleadar ar Iarúsailéim faoi cheann naoi mí agus fiche lá.
8 Y después que hubieron andado toda la tierra, volvieron á Jerusalem al cabo de nueve meses y veinte días.
8 und durchzogen das ganze land und kamen nach neuen Monaten und zwanzig Tagen gen Jerusalem.
9 And Joab gave the king the number of all the people: there were in Israel eight hundred thousand fighting men able to take up arms; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand.
9 Joab remit au roi le rôle du dénombrement du peuple: il y avait en Israël huit cent mille hommes de guerre tirant l'épée, et en Juda cinq cent mille hommes.
9 Thug Ióáb figiúir an daonáirimh don rí: ocht gcéad míle fear troda, lucht claíomh a tharraingt, a bhí in Iosrael agus cúig céad míle in Iúdá.
9 Y Joab dió la cuenta del número del pueblo al rey; y fueron los de Israel ochocientos mil hombres fuertes que sacaban espada; y de los de Judá quinientos mil hombres.
9 Und Joab gab dem König die Summe des Volks, das gezählt war. Und es waren in Israel achthundertmal tausend starke Männer, die das Schwert auszogen, und in Juda fünfhundertmal tausend Mann.
10 And after the people had been numbered, David's heart was troubled. And David said to the Lord, Great has been my sin in doing this; but now, O Lord, be pleased to take away the sin of your servant, for I have done very foolishly
10 David sentit battre son coeur, après qu'il eut ainsi fait le dénombrement du peuple. Et il dit à l'Éternel: J'ai commis un grand péché en faisant cela! Maintenant, ô Éternel, daigne pardonner l'iniquité de ton serviteur, car j'ai complètement agi en insensé!
10 Ach tháinig aiféala ar Dháiví ina chroí istigh ar ball cionn is go ndearna sé daonáireamh ar an bpobal. “Tá peaca trom déanta agam,” ar sé leis an Tiarna. “Ach anois, a Thiarna, impím ort an cion seo a mhaitheamh do do sheirbhíseach. Ba an-amaideach an rud dom é.”
10 Y después que David hubo contado el pueblo, punzóle su corazón; y dijo David á Jehová: Yo he pecado gravemente por haber hecho esto; mas ahora, oh Jehová, ruégote que quites el pecado de tu siervo, porque yo he obrado muy neciamente.
10 Und das Herz schlug David, nachdem das Volk gezählt war. Und David sprach zum HERRN: Ich habe schwer gesündigt, daß ich das getan habe; und nun, HERR, nimm weg die Missetat deines Knechtes; denn ich habe sehr töricht getan.
11 And David got up in the morning; now the word of the Lord had come to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
11 Le lendemain, quand David se leva, la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Gad le prophète, le voyant de David:
11 Nuair a d'éirigh Dáiví an mhaidin ina dhiaidh sin, bhí teachtaireacht ón Tiarna go dtí Gád fáidh, fear feasa Dháiví, á rá:
11 Y por la mañana, cuando David se hubo levantado, fué palabra de Jehová á Gad profeta, vidente de David, diciendo:
11 Und da David des Morgens aufstand, kam des HERRN Wort zu Gad, dem Propheten, Davids Seher, und sprach:
12 Go and say to David, The Lord says, Three things are offered to you: say which of them you will have, and I will do it to you.
12 Va dire à David: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je te propose trois fléaux; choisis-en un, et je t'en frapperai.
12 “Téigh agus abair le Dáiví: seo mar a deir an Tiarna: ‘Tairgim trí rud duit; bíodh do rogha agat astu agus déanfaidh mé duit é.’ ”
12 Ve, y di á David: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tres cosas te ofrezco: tú te escogerás una de ellas, la cual yo haga.
12 Gehe hin und rede mit David: So spricht der HERR: Dreierlei bringe ich zu dir; erwähle dir deren eins, daß ich es dir tue.
13 So Gad came to David, and gave him word of this and said to him, Are there to be three years when there is not enough food in your land? or will you go in flight from your haters for three months, while they go after you? or will you have three days of violent disease in your land? take thought and say what answer I am to give to him who sent me.
13 Gad alla vers David, et lui fit connaître la chose, en disant: Veux-tu sept années de famine dans ton pays, ou bien trois mois de fuite devant tes ennemis qui te poursuivront, ou bien trois jours de peste dans ton pays? Maintenant choisis, et vois ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie.
13 Chuaigh Gád chuig Dáiví mar sin agus d'inis sé sin dó. “Cé acu is fearr leat,” ar seisean, “trí bliana de ghorta a theacht ort i do thír féin, nó thú a bheith trí mhí ar do sheachaint agus do namhaid sa tóir ort, nó plá a bheith ar do thír ar feadh trí lá? Déan do mhachnamh air anois agus socraigh cad é an freagra a thabharfaidh mé don té a chuir uaidh mé.”
13 Vino pues Gad á David, é intimóle, y díjole: ¿Quieres que te vengan siete años de hambre en tu tierra? ¿ó que huyas tres meses delante de tus enemigos, y que ellos te persigan? ¿o que tres días haya pestilencia en tu tierra? Piensa ahora, y mira qué responderé al que me ha enviado.
13 Gad kam zu David und sagte es ihm an und sprach zu ihm: Willst du, daß sieben Jahre Teuerung in dein Land komme? oder daß du drei Monate vor deinen Widersachern fliehen müssest und sie dich verfolgen? oder drei Tage Pestilenz in deinem Lande sei? So merke nun und siehe, was ich wieder sagen soll dem, der mich gesandt hat.
14 And David said to Gad, This is a hard decision for me to make: let us come into the hands of the Lord, for great are his mercies: let me not come into the hands of men.
14 David répondit à Gad: Je suis dans une grande angoisse! Oh! tombons entre les mains de l'Éternel, car ses compassions sont immenses; mais que je ne tombe pas entre les mains des hommes!
14 Dúirt Dáiví le Gád: “Is é rogha na ndíogha agam é! Ach is fearr go dtitimis i láimh an Tiarna, óir is mór é a thrócaire, agus gan mé a thitim i lámha daoine.”
14 Entonces David dijo á Gad: En grande angustia estoy: ruego que caiga en la mano de Jehová, porque sus miseraciones son muchas, y que no caiga yo en manos de hombres.
14 David sprach zu Gad: Es ist mir sehr angst; aber laß uns in die Hand des HERRN fallen, denn seine Barmherzigkeit ist groß; ich will nicht in der Menschen Hand fallen.
15 So David made selection of the disease; and the time was the days of the grain-cutting, when the disease came among the people, causing the death of seventy thousand men from Dan as far as Beer-sheba.
15 L'Éternel envoya la peste en Israël, depuis le matin jusqu'au temps fixé; et, de Dan à Beer Schéba, il mourut soixante-dix mille hommes parmi le peuple.
15 Mar sin thogh Dáiví an phlá. Aimsir fhómhar na cruithneachta a bhí ann. Chuir an Tiarna plá ar Iosrael ón maidin go dtí an uair a bhí leagtha amach agus rinne aicíd léirscrios ar an bpobal, agus ó Dhán go Béar Seaba fuair seachtó míle acu bás.
15 Y envió Jehová pestilencia á Israel desde la mañana hasta el tiempo señalado: y murieron del pueblo, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, setenta mil hombres.
15 Also ließ der HERR Pestilenz in Israel kommen von Morgen an bis zur bestimmten Zeit, daß des Volks starb von Dan an bis gen Beer-Seba siebzigtausend Mann.
16 And when the hand of the angel was stretched out in the direction of Jerusalem, for its destruction, the Lord had regret for the evil, and said to the angel who was sending destruction on the people, It is enough; do no more. And the angel of the Lord was by the grain-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
16 Comme l'ange étendait la main sur Jérusalem pour la détruire, l'Éternel se repentit de ce mal, et il dit à l'ange qui faisait périr le peuple: Assez! Retire maintenant ta main. L'ange de l'Éternel était près de l'aire d'Aravna, le Jébusien.
16 Shín an t‑aingeal a lámh amach ionsar Iarúsailéim lena scrios, ach rinne an Tiarna athsmaoineamh faoin olc seo agus dúirt sé leis an aingeal a bhí ag scrios an phobail: “Is leor sin! Fóill ar do láimh!” Bhí aingeal an Tiarna le hais urlár buailte Arauná an Iabúsach.
16 Y como el ángel extendió su mano sobre Jerusalem para destruirla, Jehová se arrepintió de aquel mal, y dijo al ángel que destruía el pueblo: Basta ahora; detén tu mano. Entonces el ángel de Jehová estaba junto á la era de Arauna Jebuseo.
16 Und da der Engel seine Hand ausstreckte über Jerusalem, daß er es verderbte, reute den HERRN das Übel, und er sprach zum Engel, zu dem Verderber im Volk: Es ist genug; laß deine Hand ab! Der Engel aber des HERRN war bei der Tenne Aravnas, des Jebusiters.
17 And when David saw the angel who was causing the destruction of the people, he said to the Lord, Truly, the sin is mine; I have done wrong: but these are only sheep; what have they done? let your hand be against me and against my family.
17 David, voyant l'ange qui frappait parmi le peuple, dit à l'Éternel: Voici, j'ai péché! C'est moi qui suis coupable; mais ces brebis, qu'ont-elles fait? Que ta main soit donc sur moi et sur la maison de mon père!
17 Nuair a chonaic Dáiví an t‑aingeal a bhí ag scrios an phobail, labhair sé leis an Tiarna: “Is mise a pheacaigh,” ar sé, “is mise a rinne an drochrud seo. Ach an tréad seo, cad atá déanta acusan? Luíodh do lámh go trom ormsa mar sin, impím ort, agus ar mo chlann.”
17 Y David dijo á Jehová, cuando vió al ángel que hería al pueblo: Yo pequé, yo hice la maldad: ¿qué hicieron estas ovejas? Ruégote que tu mano se torne contra mí, y contra la casa de mi padre.
17 Da aber David den Engel sah, der das Volk schlug, sprach er zum HERRN: Siehe, ich habe gesündigt, ich habe die Missetat getan; was habe diese Schafe getan? Laß deine Hand wider mich und meines Vaters Haus sein!
18 And that day Gad came to David and said to him, Go up, and put up an altar to the Lord on the grain-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
18 Ce jour-là, Gad vint auprès de David, et lui dit: Monte, élève un autel à l'Éternel dans l'aire d'Aravna, le Jébusien.
18 Chuaigh Gád go Dáiví an lá sin agus dúirt leis: “Gabh suas agus tóg altóir don Tiarna ar urlár buailte Arauná an Iabúsach.”
18 Y Gad vino á David aquel día, y díjole: Sube, y haz un altar á Jehová en la era de Arauna Jebuseo.
18 Und Gad kam zu David zur selben Zeit und sprach zu ihm: Gehe hinauf und richte dem HERRN einen Altar auf in der Tenne Aravnas, des Jebusiters!
19 So David went up, as Gad had said and as the Lord had given orders.
19 David monta, selon la parole de Gad, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné.
19 Ar fhocal Ghád, ghabh Dáiví suas ar ordú an Tiarna.
19 Y subió David, conforme al dicho de Gad, que Jehová le había mandado.
19 Also ging David hinauf, wie Gad ihm gesagt und der HERR ihm geboten hatte.
20 And Araunah, looking out, saw the king and his servants coming to him: and Araunah went out, and went down on his face to the earth before the king.
20 Aravna regarda, et il vit le roi et ses serviteurs qui se dirigeaient vers lui; et Aravna sortit, et se prosterna devant le roi, le visage contre terre.
20 Nuair a d'fhéach Arauná síos agus go bhfaca sé an rí agus a oifigigh ag céimniú ina threo, chuaigh sé ar aghaidh agus chrom chun talún in ómós don rí.
20 Y mirando Arauna, vió al rey y á sus siervos que pasaban á él. Saliendo entonces Arauna, inclinóse delante del rey hacia tierra.
20 Und da Aravna sich wandte, sah er den König mit seinen Knechten zu ihm herüberkommen und fiel nieder auf sein Angesicht zur Erde
21 And Araunah said, Why has my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To give you a price for your grain-floor, so that I may put up an altar to the Lord, and the disease may be stopped among the people.
21 Aravna dit: Pourquoi mon seigneur le roi vient-il vers son serviteur? Et David répondit: Pour acheter de toi l'aire et pour y bâtir un autel à l'Éternel, afin que la plaie se retire de dessus le peuple.
21 “Cén fáth ar tháinig mo thiarna an rí chun a shearbhónta?” a d'fhiafraigh Arauná. D'fhreagair Dáiví: “Chun an t‑urlár buailte a cheannach uait le haltóir a thógáil don Tiarna ionas go staonfadh an phlá den phobal.”
21 Y Arauna dijo: ¿Por qué viene mi señor el rey á su siervo? Y David respondió: Para comprar de ti la era, para edificar altar á Jehová, á fin de que la mortandad cese del pueblo.
21 und sprach: Warum kommt mein Herr, der König, zu seinem Knecht? David sprach: Zu kaufen von dir die Tenne und zu bauen dem HERRN einen Altar, daß die Plage vom Volk aufhöre.
22 And Araunah said to David, Let my lord the king take whatever seems right to him, and make an offering of it: see, here are the oxen for the burned offering, and the grain-cleaning instruments and the ox-yokes for wood:
22 Aravna dit à David: Que mon seigneur le roi prenne l'aire, et qu'il y offre les sacrifices qu'il lui plaira; vois, les boeufs seront pour l'holocauste, et les chars avec l'attelage serviront de bois.
22 Dúirt Arauná le Dáiví: “Tógadh mo thiarna an rí é, agus íobraíodh sé a rogha. Seo iad na daimh don íobairt uileloiscthe, na súistí agus na cuingeacha mar adhmad.
22 Y Arauna dijo á David: Tome y sacrifique mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere; he aquí bueyes para el holocausto; y trillos y otros pertrechos de bueyes para leña:
22 Aber Aravna sprach zu David: Mein Herr, der König, nehme und opfere, wie es ihm gefällt: siehe, da ist ein Rind zum Brandopfer und Schleifen und Geschirr vom Ochsen zu Holz.
23 All this does the servant of my lord the king give to the king. And Araunah said, May the Lord your God be pleased with your offering!
23 Aravna donna le tout au roi. Et Aravna dit au roi: Que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te soit favorable!
23 Tugann Arauná iad sin go léir don rí. Agus go nglaca an Tiarna, do Dhia, leat,” arsa Arauná.
23 Todo lo da como un rey Arauna al rey. Luego dijo Arauna al rey: Jehová tu Dios te sea propicio.
23 Das alles gab Aravna, der König, dem König. Und Aravna sprach zum König: Der HERR, dein Gott, lasse dich ihm angenehm sein.
24 And the king said to Araunah, No, but I will give you a price for it; I will not give to the Lord my God burned offerings for which I have given nothing. So David got the grain-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
24 Mais le roi dit à Aravna: Non! Je veux l'acheter de toi à prix d'argent, et je n'offrirai point à l'Éternel, mon Dieu, des holocaustes qui ne me coûtent rien. Et David acheta l'aire et les boeufs pour cinquante sicles d'argent.
24 Ach dúirt an rí le hArauná: “Ní dhéanfaidh mé amhlaidh, ach díolfaidh mé as le hairgead. Ní dhéanfaidh mé íobairtí uileloiscthe nár chosain aon ní orm a ofráil don Tiarna mo Dhia.” Thug Dáiví dá bhrí sin caoga seicil airgid ar an urlár buailte agus ar na daimh.
24 Y el rey dijo á Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré á Jehová mi Dios holocaustos por nada. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata.
24 Aber der König sprach zu Aravna: Nicht also, sondern ich will dir's abkaufen um seinen Preis; denn ich will dem HERRN, meinem Gott, nicht Brandopfer tun, das ich umsonst habe. Also kaufte David die Tenne und das Rind um fünfzig Silberlinge
25 And there David put up an altar to the Lord, making burned offerings and peace-offerings. So the Lord gave ear to his prayer for the land, and the disease came to an end in Israel.
25 David bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel, et il offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces. Alors l'Éternel fut apaisé envers le pays, et la plaie se retira d'Israël.
