1 In the days of David they were short of food for three years, year after year; and David went before the Lord for directions. And the Lord said, On Saul and on his family there is blood, because he put the Gibeonites to death.
1 Du temps de David, il y eut une famine qui dura trois ans. David chercha la face de l'Éternel, et l'Éternel dit: C'est à cause de Saül et de sa maison sanguinaire, c'est parce qu'il a fait périr les Gabaonites.
1 Bhí gorta ar feadh trí bliana i ndiaidh a chéile le linn Dháiví. Chuaigh Dáiví a lorg comhairle ar an Tiarna agus dúirt an Tiarna: “Tá ciontacht fola ar Shól agus ar a theaghlach mar gur mharaigh sé na Gibeónaigh.”
1 Y En los días de David hubo hambre por tres años consecutivos. Y David consultó á Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Es por Saúl, y por aquella casa de sangre; porque mató á los Gabaonitas.
1 Es war auch eine Teuerung zu Davids Zeiten drei Jahre aneinander. Und David suchte das Angesicht des HERRN; und der HERR sprach: Um Sauls willen und um des Bluthauses willen, daß er die Gibeoniter getötet hat.
2 Then the king sent for the Gibeonites; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but were the last of the Amorites, to whom the children of Israel had given an oath; but Saul, in his passion for the children of Israel and Judah, had made an attempt on their lives:)
2 Le roi appela les Gabaonites pour leur parler. -Les Gabaonites n'étaient point d'entre les enfants d'Israël, mais c'était un reste des Amoréens; les enfants d'Israël s'étaient liés envers eux par un serment, et néanmoins Saül avait voulu les frapper, dans son zèle pour les enfants d'Israël et de Juda. -
2 Ghlaoigh an rí dá bhrí sin ar na Gibeónaigh. Níorbh de chlann Iosrael iad na Gibeonaigh ach iarmhar de na hAmóraigh; mhionnaigh clann Iosrael go ndéanfaidís anacal orthu, ach le barr díograise ar son chlann Iosrael agus Iúdá rinne Sól iarracht ar iad a scrios.
2 Entonces el rey llamó á los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. (Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino del residuo de los Amorrheos, á los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saúl había procurado matarlos con motivo de celo por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.)
2 Da ließ der König die Gibeoniter rufen und sprach zu ihnen. (Die Gibeoniter aber waren nicht von den Kindern Israel, sondern übrig von den Amoritern; aber die Kinder Israel hatten ihnen geschworen, und Saul suchte sie zu schlagen in seinem Eifer für die Kinder Israel und Juda.)
3 So David said to the Gibeonites, What may I do for you? how am I to make up to you for your wrongs, so that you may give a blessing to the heritage of the Lord?
3 David dit aux Gabaonites: Que puis-je faire pour vous, et avec quoi ferai-je expiation, afin que vous bénissiez l'héritage de l'Éternel?
3 “Céard a dhéanfaidh mé daoibh?” arsa Dáiví leis na Gibeónaigh, “agus conas a dhéanfaidh mé cúiteamh, d'fhonn go gcuirfeadh sibh beannacht ar oidhreacht an Tiarna?”
3 Dijo pues David á los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis á la heredad de Jehová?
3 So sprach nun David zu den Gibeonitern: Was soll ich euch tun? und womit soll ich sühnen, daß ihr das Erbteil des HERRN segnet?
4 And the Gibeonites said to him, It is not a question of silver and gold between us and Saul or his family; and it is not in our power to put to death any man in Israel. And he said, Say, then, what am I to do for you?
4 Les Gabaonites lui répondirent: Ce n'est pas pour nous une question d'argent et d'or avec Saül et avec sa maison, et ce n'est pas à nous qu'il appartient de faire mourir personne en Israël. Et le roi dit: Que voulez-vous donc que je fasse pour vous?
4 D'fhreagair na Gibeónaigh: “Ní cúrsaí airgid ná óir atá i gceist idir sinne agus Sól agus a theaghlach; ná ní hé ár ngnóna aon duine in Iosrael a chur chun báis.” “Abraigí céard atá uaibh,” ar sé, “a dhéanfainn daoibh.”
4 Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros querella sobre plata ni sobre oro con Saúl, y con su casa: ni queremos que muera hombre de Israel. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.
4 Die Gibeoniter sprachen zu ihm: Es ist uns nicht um Gold noch Silber zu tun an Saul und seinem Hause und steht uns nicht zu, jemand zu töten in Israel. Er sprach: Was sprecht ihr denn, daß ich euch tun soll?
5 And they said to the king, As for the man by whom we were wasted, and who made designs against us to have us completely cut off from the land of Israel,
5 Ils répondirent au roi: Puisque cet homme nous a consumés, et qu'il avait le projet de nous détruire pour nous faire disparaître de tout le territoire d'Israël,
5 Dúirt siad leis an rí: “An té a rinne sinn a scrios agus a bheartaigh sinn a dhíothú i dtreo nach bhfágfaí duine dínn beo in aon bhall i gcríocha Iosrael,
5 Y ellos respondieron al rey: De aquel hombre que nos destruyó, y que maquinó contra nosotros, para extirparnos sin dejar nada de nosotros en todo el término de Israel;
5 Sie sprachen zum König: Den Mann, der uns verderbt und zunichte gemacht hat, sollen wir vertilgen, daß ihm nichts bleibe in allen Grenzen Israels.
6 Let seven men of his family be given up to us and we will put an end to them by hanging them before the Lord in Gibeon, on the hill of the Lord. And the king said, I will give them.
6 qu'on nous livre sept hommes d'entre ses fils, et nous les pendrons devant l'Éternel à Guibea de Saül, l'élu de l'Éternel. Et le roi dit: Je les livrerai.
6 déantar seachtar mac leis a thabhairt ar láimh dúinn, i dtreo go ndéanfaimis iad a chrochadh os comhair an Tiarna i nGibeón ar shliabh an Tiarna.” “Tabharfaidh mé ar láimh iad,” arsan rí.
6 Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los ahorquemos á Jehová en Gabaa de Saúl, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.
6 Gebt uns sieben Männer aus seinem Hause, daß wir sie aufhängen dem HERRN zu Gibea Sauls, des Erwählten des HERRN. Der König sprach: Ich will sie geben.
7 But the king did not give up Mephibosheth, the son of Saul's son Jonathan, because of the Lord's oath made between David and Jonathan, the son of Saul.
7 Le roi épargna Mephiboscheth, fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, à cause du serment qu'avaient fait entre eux, devant l'Éternel, David et Jonathan, fils de Saül.
7 Rinne an rí anacal ar Mheirí Bál mac Iónátán mhic Shóil de bharr an mhionna dar an Tiarna a bhí eatarthu, Dáiví is é sin agus Iónátán mac Shóil.
7 Y perdonó el rey á Mephi-boseth, hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, por el juramento de Jehová que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonathán hijo de Saúl.
7 Aber der König verschonte Mephiboseth, den Sohn Jonathans, des Sohnes Sauls, um des Eides willen des HERRN, der zwischen ihnen war, zwischen David und Jonathan, dem Sohn Sauls.
8 But the king took Armoni and Mephibosheth, the two sons of Saul to whom Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, had given birth; and the five sons of Saul's daughter Merab, whose father was Adriel, the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
8 Mais le roi prit les deux fils que Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, avait enfantés à Saül, Armoni et Mephiboscheth, et les cinq fils que Mérab, fille de Saül, avait enfantés à Adriel de Mehola, fils de Barzillaï;
8 Ach thóg an rí beirt mhac Rizpeá iníon Aiá, an bheirt a rug sí do Shól, Armonaí agus Meirí Bál; agus cúigear mac Mhéarab iníon Shóil, an cúigear a rug sí do Aidríéil mac Bhairzilí an Macholach.
8 Mas tomó el rey dos hijos de Rispa hija de Aja, los cuales ella había parido á Saúl, á saber, á Armoni y á Mephi-boseth; y cinco hijos de Michâl hija de Saúl, los cuales ella había parido á Adriel, hijo de Barzillai Molathita;
8 Aber die zwei Söhne Rizpas, der Tochter Ajas, die sie Saul geboren hatte, Armoni und Mephiboseth, dazu die fünf Söhne Merabs, der Tochter Sauls, die sie dem Adriel geboren hatte, dem Sohn Barsillais, des Meholathiters, nahm der König
9 And he gave them up to the Gibeonites, and they put them to death, hanging them on the mountain before the Lord; all seven came to their end together in the first days of the grain-cutting, at the start of the cutting of the barley.
9 et il les livra entre les mains des Gabaonites, qui les pendirent sur la montagne, devant l'Éternel. Tous les sept périrent ensemble; ils furent mis à mort dans les premiers jours de la moisson, au commencement de la moisson des orges.
9 Thug sé iad i lámha na nGibeónach agus chroch siadsan iad ar an sliabh os comhair an Tiarna. Ídíodh an seachtar acu le chéile. Cuireadh chun báis iad i gcéad laethanta an fhómhair, i dtus fhómhar na heorna.
9 Y entrególos en manos de los Gabaonitas, y ellos los ahorcaron en el monte delante de Jehová: y murieron juntos aquellos siete, lo cuales fueron muertos en el tiempo de la siega, en los primeros días, en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.
9 und gab sie in die Hand der Gibeoniter; die hingen sie auf dem Berge vor dem HERRN. Also fielen diese sieben auf einmal und starben zur Zeit der ersten Ernte, wann die Gerstenernte angeht.
10 And Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, took haircloth, placing it on the rock as a bed for herself, from the start of the grain-cutting till rain came down on them from heaven; and she did not let the birds of the air come near them by day, or the beasts of the field by night.
10 Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, prit un sac et l'étendit sous elle contre le rocher, depuis le commencement de la moisson jusqu'à ce que la pluie du ciel tombât sur eux; et elle empêcha les oiseaux du ciel de s'approcher d'eux pendant le jour, et les bêtes des champs pendant la nuit.
10 Fuair Rizpeá iníon Aiá éadach róin agus leath ar an gcarraig di féin é ó thús fhómhar na heorna nó gur thit an fhearthainn ón spéir air; níor lig sí d'éanlaith an aeir luí air sa lá, ná d'ainmhithe an mhachaire san oíche.
10 Tomando luego Rispa hija de Aja un saco, tendióselo sobre un peñasco, desde el principio de la siega hasta que llovió sobre ellos agua del cielo; y no dejó á ninguna ave del cielo asentarse sobre ellos de día, ni bestias del campo de noche.
10 Da nahm Rizpa, die Tochter Ajas, einen Sack und breitete ihn auf den Fels am Anfang der Ernte, bis daß Wasser von Himmel über sie troff, und ließ des Tages die Vögel des Himmels nicht auf ihnen ruhen noch des Nachts die Tiere des Feldes.
11 And news was given to David of what Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, one of Saul's wives, had done.
11 On informa David de ce qu'avait fait Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, concubine de Saül.
11 Insíodh do Dháiví cad a rinne Rizpeá iníon Aiá, leannán Shóil.
11 Y fué dicho á David lo que hacía Rispa hija de Aja, concubina de Saúl.
11 Und es ward David angesagt, was Rizpa, die Tochter Ajas, Sauls Kebsweib, getan hatte.
12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan from the men of Jabesh-gilead, who had taken them away secretly from the public place of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had put them, hanging up the bodies there on the day when they put Saul to death in Gilboa:
12 Et David alla prendre les os de Saül et les os de Jonathan, son fils, chez les habitants de Jabès en Galaad, qui les avaient enlevés de la place de Beth Schan, où les Philistins les avaient suspendus lorsqu'ils battirent Saül à Guilboa.
12 D'imigh Dáiví agus thóg sé cnámha Shóil agus a mhic Iónátán ó thaoisigh Iáibéis Gileád a ghoid iad ón gcearnóg i mBéit Seán mar ar chroch na Filistínigh iad an lá a bhris na Filistínigh ar Shól i nGiolboa.
12 Entonces David fué, y tomó los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo, de los hombres de Jabes de Galaad, que los habían hurtado de la plaza de Beth-san, donde los habían colgado los Filisteos, cuando deshicieron los Filisteos á Saúl en Gilboa:
12 Und David ging hin und nahm die Gebeine Sauls und die Gebeine Jonathans, seines Sohnes, von den Bürgern zu Jabes in Gilead (die sie vom Platz am Tor Beth-Seans gestohlen hatten, dahin sie die Philister gehängt hatten zu der Zeit, da die Philister Saul schlugen auf dem Berge Gilboa),
13 And he took the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan from that place; and they got together the bones of those who had been put to death by hanging.
13 Il emporta de là les os de Saül et les os de Jonathan, son fils; et l'on recueillit aussi les os de ceux qui avaient été pendus.
13 Thug Dáiví cnámha Shóil agus cnámha a mhic Iónátán ón áit sin agus chruinnigh le chéile cnámha na muintire a crochadh.
13 E hizo llevar de allí los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo; y juntaron también los huesos de los ahorcados.
13 und brachte sie von da herauf; und sie sammelten sie zuhauf mit den Gebeinen der Gehängten
14 And they put them with the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan in the resting-place of Kish, his father, in Zela in the country of Benjamin; they did all the king had given them orders to do. And after that, God gave ear to their prayers for the land.
14 On enterra les os de Saül et de Jonathan, son fils, au pays de Benjamin, à Tséla, dans le sépulcre de Kis, père de Saül. Et l'on fit tout ce que le roi avait ordonné. Après cela, Dieu fut apaisé envers le pays.
14 Agus rinne siad cnámha Shóil, agus cnámha a mhic Iónátán [agus cnámha na muintire a crochadh], a chur i gcríocha Bhiniáimin i Zéalá, i dtuama a athar, Cís. Rinne siad gach ar ordaigh an rí, agus ansin thug Dia cluas dá n‑achainíocha ar son na tíre. Feachtais in aghaidh na bhFilistíneach
14 Y sepultaron los huesos de Saúl y los de su hijo Jonathán en tierra de Benjamín, en Sela, en el sepulcro de Cis su padre; é hicieron todo lo que el rey había mandado. Después se aplacó Dios con la tierra.
14 und begruben die Gebeine Sauls und seines Sohnes Jonathan im Lande Benjamin zu Zela im Grabe seines Vaters Kis und taten alles, wie der König geboten hatte. Also ward Gott nach diesem dem Lande wieder versöhnt.
15 And the Philistines went to war again with Israel; and David went down with his people, and while they were at Gob they had a fight with the Philistines:
15 Les Philistins firent encore la guerre à Israël. David descendit avec ses serviteurs, et ils combattirent les Philistins. David était fatigué.
15 Rinne na Filistínigh cogadh arís eile in aghaidh Iosrael. Ghabh Dáiví agus a bhuíon síos agus [shuigh siad a longfort ag Gob] agus chuir cath ar na Filistínigh. [Ansin d'éirigh Dodó
15 Y como los Filisteos tornaron á hacer guerra á Israel, descendió David y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos: y David se cansó.
15 Es erhob sich aber wieder ein Krieg von den Philistern wider Israel; und David zog hinab und seine Knechte mit ihm und stritten wider die Philister. Und David ward müde.
16 And there came against David one of the offspring of the Rephaim, whose spear was three hundred shekels of brass in weight, and having a new sword, he made an attempt to put David to death.
16 Et Jischbi Benob, l'un des enfants de Rapha, eut la pensée de tuer David; il avait une lance du poids de trois cents sicles d'airain, et il était ceint d'une épée neuve.
16 mac Ióais], de shliocht Ráfá, agus sleá trí chéad seicil chré-umha aige, agus claíomh nua ar iompar aige agus é lán de mhuinín go maródh sé Dáiví.
16 En esto Isbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de cuya lanza era de trescientos siclos de metal, y tenía él ceñida una nueva espada, trató de herir á David:
16 Und Jesbi zu Nob (welcher war der Kinder Raphas einer, und das Gewicht seines Speers war dreihundert Gewicht Erzes, und er hatte neue Waffen), der gedachte David zu schlagen.
17 But Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, came to his help, and, turning on the Philistine, gave him his death-blow. Then David's men took an oath, and said, Never again are you to go out with us to the fight, so that you may not put out the light of Israel.
17 Abischaï, fils de Tseruja, vint au secours de David, frappa le Philistin et le tua. Alors les gens de David jurèrent, en lui disant: Tu ne sortiras plus avec nous pour combattre, et tu n'éteindras pas la lampe d'Israël.
17 Ach tháinig Aibísí mac Zarúá i gcabhair air, threascair an Filistíneach agus mharaigh. Ansin d'áitigh lucht leanúna Dháiví air á rá: “Ná téigh chun catha riamh arís linn,” ar siad, “d'fhonn nach múchfá lóchrann Iosrael.”
17 Mas Abisai hijo de Sarvia le socorrió, é hirió al Filisteo, y matólo. Entonces los hombres de David le juraron, diciendo: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros á batalla, porque no apagues la lámpara de Israel.
17 Aber Abisai, der Zeruja Sohn, half ihm und schlug den Philister tot. Da schwuren ihm die Männer Davids und sprachen: Du sollst nicht mehr mit uns ausziehen in den Streit, daß nicht die Leuchte in Israel verlösche.
18 Now after this there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Sibbecai the Hushathite put to death Saph, one of the offspring of the Rephaim.
18 Il y eut encore, après cela, une bataille à Gob avec les Philistins. Alors Sibbecaï, le Huschatite, tua Saph, qui était un des enfants de Rapha.
18 Ina dhiaidh sin bhris cogaíocht amach arís leis na Filistínigh ag Gob. Sé sin an uair a mharaigh Sibeacaí an Huiseátach Saf, de shliocht Ráfá.
18 Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sibechâi Husathita hirió á Saph, que era de los hijos del gigante.
18 Darnach erhob sich noch ein Krieg zu Gob mit den Philistern. Da schlug Sibbechai, der Husathiter, den Saph, welcher auch der Kinder Raphas einer war.
19 And again there was war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan, the son of Jair the Beth-lehemite, put to death Goliath the Gittite, the stem of whose spear was like a cloth-worker's rod.
19 Il y eut encore une bataille à Gob avec les Philistins. Et Elchanan, fils de Jaaré Oreguim, de Bethléhem, tua Goliath de Gath, qui avait une lance dont le bois était comme une ensouple de tisserand.
19 Bhris cogaíocht amach arís leis na Filistínigh ag Gob. Agus mharaigh Ealchánán mac Iáír, ó Bheithil, Góla an Giteach ar chosúil le bíoma fíodóra crann a shleá.
19 Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanan, hijo de Jaare-oregim de Beth-lehem, hirió á Goliath Getheo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un enjullo de telar.
19 Und es erhob sich noch ein Krieg zu Gob mit den Philistern. Da schlug El-Hanan, der Sohn Jaere-Orgims, ein Bethlehemiter, den Goliath, den Gathiter, welcher hatte einen Spieß, des Stange war wie ein Weberbaum.
20 And again there was war at Gath, where there was a very tall man, who had twenty-four fingers and toes, six fingers on his hands and six toes on his feet; he was one of the offspring of the Rephaim.
20 Il y eut encore une bataille à Gath. Il s'y trouva un homme de haute taille, qui avait six doigts à chaque main et à chaque pied, vingt-quatre en tout, et qui était aussi issu de Rapha.
20 Agus bhí cath eile ag Gat mar a raibh fear mór groí a raibh sé mhéar ar gach láimh leis agus sé mhear ar gach cois, ceithre mhéar fichead ar fad. Ba de shliocht Ráfá eisean chomh maith.
20 Después hubo otra guerra en Gath, donde hubo un hombre de grande altura, el cual tenía doce dedos en las manos, y otros doce en los pies, veinticuatro en todos: y también era de lo hijos del gigante.
20 Und es erhob sich noch ein Krieg zu Gath. Da war ein langer Mann, der hatte sechs Finger an seinen Händen und sechs Zehen an seinen Füßen, das ist vierundzwanzig an der Zahl; und er war auch geboren dem Rapha.
21 And when he was purposing to put shame on Israel, Jonathan, the son of Shimei, David's brother, put him to death.
21 Il jeta un défi à Israël; et Jonathan, fils de Schimea, frère de David, le tua.
21 Nuair a thug sé dúshlán Iosrael, mharaigh Iónátán mac Shimeí, deartháir Dháiví, é.
21 Este desafió á Israel, y matólo Jonathán, hijo de Sima hermano de David.
21 Und da er Israel Hohn sprach, schlug ihn Jonathan, der Sohn Simeas, des Bruders Davids.
22 These four were of the offspring of the Rephaim in Gath; and they came to their end by the hands of David and his servants.
22 Ces quatre hommes étaient des enfants de Rapha à Gath. Ils périrent par la main de David et par la main de ses serviteurs.
