1 And it came about after this that David made an attack on the Philistines and overcame them; and David took the authority of the mother-town from the hands of the Philistines.
1 Après cela, David battit les Philistins et les humilia, et il enleva de la main des Philistins les rênes de leur capitale.
1 Ina dhiaidh sin bhris Dáiví ar na Filistínigh agus chloígh iad, agus bhain sé [smacht ar an bpríomhchathair] de na Filistínigh.
1 Después de esto aconteció, que David hirió á los Filisteos, y los humilló: y tomó David á Methegamma de mano de los Filisteos.
1 Und es begab sich darnach, daß David die Philister schlug und schwächte sie und nahm den Dienstzaum von der Philister Hand.
2 And he overcame the Moabites, and he had them measured with a line when they were stretched out on the earth; marking out two lines for death and one full line for life. So the Moabites became servants to David and gave him offerings.
2 Il battit les Moabites, et il les mesura avec un cordeau, en les faisant coucher par terre; il en mesura deux cordeaux pour les livrer à la mort, et un plein cordeau pour leur laisser la vie. Et les Moabites furent assujettis à David, et lui payèrent un tribut.
2 Bhris sé freisin ar na Móábaigh agus chuir d'iallach orthu luí ar an talamh agus thomhais sé iad le téad; thomhais sé fad dhá théad le cur chun báis, agus téad iomlán eile le hanacal. Thug na Móábaigh géillsine do Dháiví agus d'íoc cáin leis.
2 Hirió también á los de Moab, y midiólos con cordel, haciéndolos echar por tierra; y midió con dos cordeles para muerte, y un cordel entero para vida; y fueron los Moabitas siervos debajo de tributo.
2 Er schlug auch die Moabiter also zu Boden, daß er zwei Teile zum Tode brachte und einen Teil am Leben ließ. Also wurden die Moabiter David untertänig, daß sie ihm Geschenke zutrugen.
3 And David overcame Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to make his power seen by the River.
3 David battit Hadadézer, fils de Rehob, roi de Tsoba, lorsqu'il alla rétablir sa domination sur le fleuve de l'Euphrate.
3 Chloígh Dáiví Hadad Eizir mac Rachob rí Zóbá agus é ar an mbealach ag iarraidh a chumhacht a leathnú thar an Abhainn.
3 Asimismo hirió David á Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba, yendo él á extender su término hasta el río de Eufrates.
3 David schlug auch Hadadeser, den Sohn Rehobs, König zu Zoba, da er hinzog, seine Macht wieder zu holen an dem Wasser Euphrat.
4 And David took from him one thousand, seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand footmen: and David had the leg-muscles of the horses cut, only keeping enough of them for a hundred war-carriages.
4 David lui prit mille sept cents cavaliers et vingt mille hommes de pied; il coupa les jarrets à tous les chevaux de trait, et ne conserva que cent attelages.

4 Y tomó David de ellos mil y setecientos de á caballo, y veinte mil hombres de á pie; y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto cien carros de ellos que dejó.
4 Und David fing aus ihnen tausendundsiebenhundert Reiter und zwanzigtausend Mann Fußvolk und verlähmte alle Rosse der Wagen und behielt übrig hundert Wagen.
5 And when the Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David put to the sword twenty-two thousand of the Aramaeans.
5 Les Syriens de Damas vinrent au secours d'Hadadézer, roi de Tsoba, et David battit vingt-deux mille Syriens.
5 Tháinig Aramaeigh ón Damaisc i gcabhair ar Hadad Eizir rí Zóbá, ach mharaigh Dáiví dhá mhíle agus fiche de na hAramaeigh.
5 Y vinieron los Siros de Damasco á dar ayuda á Hadad-ezer rey de Soba; y David hirió de los Siros veinte y dos mil hombres.
5 Es kamen aber die Syrer von Damaskus, zu helfen Hadadeser, dem König zu Zoba; und David schlug der Syrer zweiundzwanzigtausend Mann
6 And David put armed forces in Aram of Damascus: and the Aramaeans became servants to David and gave him offerings. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
6 David mit des garnisons dans la Syrie de Damas. Et les Syriens furent assujettis à David, et lui payèrent un tribut. L'Éternel protégeait David partout où il allait.

6 Puso luego David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y fueron los Siros siervos de David sujetos á tributo. Y Jehová guardó á David donde quiere que fué.
6 und legte Volk in das Syrien von Damaskus. Also ward Syrien David untertänig, daß sie ihm Geschenke zutrugen. Denn der HERR half David, wo er hin zog.
7 And David took their gold body-covers from the servants of Hadadezer and took them to Jerusalem.
7 Et David prit les boucliers d'or qu'avaient les serviteurs d'Hadadézer, et les apporta à Jérusalem.
7 Thóg Dáiví na sciatha óir a bhíodh á n‑iompar ag cosantóirí Hadad Eizir agus thug leis iad go Iarúsailéim.
7 Y tomó David los escudos de oro que traían los siervos de Hadad-ezer, y llevólos á Jerusalem.
7 Und David nahm die goldenen Schilde, die Hadadesers Knechte gehabt hatten, und brachte sie gen Jerusalem.
8 And from Tebah and Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David took a great store of brass.
8 Le roi David prit encore une grande quantité d'airain à Béthach et à Bérothaï, villes d'Hadadézer.
8 Thug Dáiví rí dlús mór cré-umha ó Bheatach agus Baerotaí, bailte le Hadad Eizir.
8 Asimismo de Beta y de Beeroth, ciudades de Hadad-ezer, tomó el rey David gran copia de metal.

9 And when Tou, king of Hamath, had news that David had overcome all the army of Hadadezer,

9 Nuair a chuala Toí rí Hamát gur bhris Dáiví ar arm Hadad Eizir go léir,
9 Entonces oyendo Toi, rey de Hamath, que David había herido todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer,
9 Da aber Thoi, der König zu Hamath, hörte, daß David hatte alle Macht des Hadadesers geschlagen,
10 He sent his son Hadoram to David, with words of peace and blessing, because he had overcome Hadadezer in the fight, for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; and Hadoram took with him vessels of silver and gold and brass:
10 et il envoya Joram, son fils, vers le roi David, pour le saluer, et pour le féliciter d'avoir attaqué Hadadézer et de l'avoir battu. Car Thoï était en guerre avec Hadadézer. Joram apporta des vases d'argent, des vases d'or, et des vases d'airain.
10 chuir sé a mhac Iórám go dtí Dáiví rí chun beannú dó agus comhghairdeas a dhéanamh leis mar gur throid sé le Hadad Eizir agus gur bhuaigh sé air; ba namhaid é Hadad Eizir do Thoí. Thug Iórám leis gréithe óir agus airgid agus cré-umha.
10 Envió Toi á Joram su hijo al rey David, á saludarle pacíficamente y á bendecirle, porque había peleado con Hadad-ezer y lo había vencido: porque Toi era enemigo de Hadad-ezer. Y Joram llevaba en su mano vasos de plata, y vasos de oro, y de metal;
10 sandte er Joram, seinen Sohn, zu David, ihn freundlich zu grüßen und ihn zu segnen, daß er wider Hadadeser gestritten und ihn geschlagen hatte (denn Thoi hatte einen Streit mit Hadadeser): und er hatte mit sich silberne, goldene und eherne Kleinode,
11 These King David made holy to the Lord, together with the silver and gold which he had taken from the nations he had overcome--
11 Le roi David les consacra à l'Éternel, comme il avait déjà consacré l'argent et l'or pris sur toutes les nations qu'il avait vaincues,
11 Rinne Dáiví rí iad seo go léir a choisreacan don Tiarna mar a bhí déanta aige leis an airgead agus leis an ór a bhí faighte aige ó na náisiúin go léir a bhí curtha faoi chois aige -
11 Los cuales el rey David dedicó á Jehová, con la plata y el oro que tenía dedicado de todas las naciones que había sometido:
11 welche der König David auch dem HERR heiligte samt dem Silber und Gold, das er heiligte von allen Heiden, die er unter sich gebracht;
12 The nations of Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon and the Philistines and the Amalekites and the goods he had taken from Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
12 sur la Syrie, sur Moab, sur les fils d'Ammon, sur les Philistins, sur Amalek, et sur le butin d'Hadadézer, fils de Rehob, roi de Tsoba.
12 Eadóm, Móáb, na hAmónaigh, na Filistínigh, Amáiléic - agus ó Hadad Eizir mac Rachob, rí Zóbá.
12 De los Siros, de los Moabitas, de los Ammonitas, de los Filisteos, de los Amalecitas, y del despojo de Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba.
12 von Syrien, von Moab, von den Kindern Ammon, von den Philistern, von Amalek, von der Beute Hadadesers, des Sohnes Rehobs, König zu Zoba.
13 And David got great honour for himself, when he came back, by the destruction of Edom in the valley of Salt, to the number of eighteen thousand men.
13 Au retour de sa victoire sur les Syriens, David se fit encore un nom, en battant dans la vallée du sel dix-huit mille Édomites.
13 Bhain Dáiví cáil amach dó féin ar an gcuma sin. Ar fhilleadh dó, chloígh sé na hEadómaigh, ocht míle déag díobh, i nGleann an tSalainn.
13 Y ganó David fama cuando, volviendo de la rota de los Siros, hirió diez y ocho mil hombres en el valle de la sal.
13 Auch machte sich David einen Namen da er wiederkam von der Syrer Schlacht und schlug im Salztal achtzehntausend Mann,
14 And he put armed forces in Edom; all through Edom he had armed forces stationed, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
14 Il mit des garnisons dans Édom, il mit des garnisons dans tout Édom. Et tout Édom fut assujetti à David. L'Éternel protégeait David partout où il allait.

14 Y puso guarnición en Edom, por toda Edom puso guarnición; y todos los Idumeos fueron siervos de David. Y Jehová guardó á David por donde quiera que fué.
14 und legte Volk in ganz Edom, und ganz Edom war David unterworfen; denn der HERR half David, wo er hin zog.
15 And David was king over all Israel, judging and giving right decisions for all his people.
15 David régna sur Israël, et il faisait droit et justice à tout son peuple.
15 Bhí Dáiví i réim os cionn Iosrael ar fad. Bhí Dáiví ag riar dlí agus cirt ar a phobal go léir.
15 Y reinó David sobre todo Israel; y hacía David derecho y justicia á todo su pueblo.
15 Also war David König über ganz Israel, und schaffte Recht und Gerechtigkeit allem Volk.
16 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the army; and Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, was keeper of the records;
16 Joab, fils de Tseruja, commandait l'armée; Josaphat, fils d'Achilud, était archiviste;

17 And Zadok and Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, were priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
17 Tsadok, fils d'Achithub, et Achimélec, fils d'Abiathar, étaient sacrificateurs; Seraja était secrétaire;
17 Bhí Zádóc mac Aichítiúb agus Aichímeilic mac Aibíátár ina sagairt; bhí Saráiá ina rúnaí.
17 Y Sadoc hijo de Ahitud, y Ahimelech hijo de Abiathar, eran sacerdotes; y Seraía era escriba;
17 Zadok, der Sohn Ahitobs, und Ahimelech, der Sohn Abjathars, waren Priester; Seraja war Schreiber;
18 And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were priests.
18 Benaja, fils de Jehojada, était chef des Kéréthiens et des Péléthiens; et les fils de David étaient ministres d'état.
