1 Now after this, David, questioning the Lord, said, Am I to go up into any of the towns of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. And David said, Where am I to go? And he said, To Hebron.
1 Après cela, David consulta l'Éternel, en disant: Monterai-je dans une des villes de Juda? L'Éternel lui répondit: Monte. David dit: Où monterai-je? Et l'Éternel répondit: A Hébron.
1 Chuaigh Dáiví ina dhiaidh sin i gcomhairle leis an Tiarna: “An rachaidh mé suas go ceann de chathracha Iúdá?” d'fhiafraigh sé. D'fhreagair an Tiarna é: “Téigh suas.” “Go cé acu a rachaidh mé?” d'fhiafraigh Dáiví. D'fhreagair sé: “Go Heabrón.”
1 Después de esto aconteció que David consultó á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Subiré á alguna de las ciudades de Judá? Y Jehová le respondió: Sube. Y David tornó á decir: ¿A dónde subiré? Y él le dijo: A Hebrón.
1 Nach dieser Geschichte fragte David den HERRN und sprach: Soll ich hinauf in der Städte Juda's eine ziehen? Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zieh hinauf! David sprach: Wohin? Er sprach: Gen Hebron.
2 So David went there, taking with him his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail, the wife of Nabal of Carmel.
2 David y monta, avec ses deux femmes, Achinoam de Jizreel, et Abigaïl de Carmel, femme de Nabal.

2 Y David subió allá, y con él sus dos mujeres, Ahinoam Jezreelita y Abigail, la que fué mujer de Nabal del Carmelo.
2 Da zog David dahin mit seinen zwei Weibern Ahinoam, der Jesreelitin, und Abigail, Nabals, des Karmeliten, Weib.
3 And David took all his men with him, every man with his family: and they were living in the towns round Hebron.
3 David fit aussi monter les gens qui étaient auprès de lui, chacun avec sa maison; et ils habitèrent dans les villes d'Hébron.

3 Y llevó también David consigo los hombres que con él habían estado, cada uno con su familia; los cuales moraron en las ciudades de Hebrón.
3 Dazu die Männer, die bei ihm waren, führte David hinauf, einen jeglichen mit seinem Hause, und sie wohnten in den Städten Hebrons.
4 And the men of Judah came there, and with the holy oil made David king over the people of Judah. And word came to David that it was the men of Jabesh-gilead who put Saul's body in its last resting-place.
4 Les hommes de Juda vinrent, et là ils oignirent David pour roi sur la maison de Juda. On informa David que c'étaient les gens de Jabès en Galaad qui avaient enterré Saül.
4 Tháinig muintir Iúdá ann, agus rinneadar Dáiví a ungadh ina rí ar theaghlach Iúdá. D'insíodar do Dháiví gur adhlaic muintir Iáibéis Gileád Sól.
4 Y vinieron los varones de Judá, y ungieron allí á David por rey sobre la casa de Judá. Y dieron aviso á David, diciendo: Los de Jabes de Galaad son los que sepultaron á Saúl.
4 Und die Männer Juda's kamen und salbten daselbst David zum König über das Haus Juda. Und da es David ward angesagt, daß die von Jabes in Gilead Saul begraben hatten,
5 And David sent to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, May the Lord give you his blessing, because you have done this kind act to Saul your lord, and have put his body to rest!
5 David envoya des messagers aux gens de Jabès en Galaad, pour leur dire: Soyez bénis de l'Éternel, puisque vous avez ainsi montré de la bienveillance envers Saül, votre maître, et que vous l'avez enterré.
5 Chuir Dáiví teachtaireacht go muintir Iáibéis Gileád. “Go raibh beannacht oraibh ón Tiarna,” ar sé, “toisc go ndearna sibh an cineáltas seo do Shól, bhur dtiarna, agus gur adhlaic sibh é.
5 Y envió David mensajeros á los de Jabes de Galaad, diciéndoles: Benditos seáis vosotros de Jehová, que habéis hecho esta misericordia con vuestro señor Saúl en haberle dado sepultura.
5 sandte er Boten zu ihnen und ließ ihnen sagen: Gesegnet seid ihr dem HERRN, daß ihr solche Barmherzigkeit an eurem Herrn Saul, getan und ihn begraben habt.
6 May the Lord be good and true to you: and I myself will see that your kind act is rewarded, because you have done this thing.
6 Et maintenant, que l'Éternel use envers vous de bonté et de fidélité. Moi aussi je vous ferai du bien, parce que vous avez agi de la sorte.
6 Anois go raibh an Tiarna féin cineálta dílis libhse. Déanfaidh mise freisin an mhaith a rinne sibh a chúiteamh libh.
6 Ahora pues, Jehová haga con vosotros misericordia y verdad; y yo también os haré bien por esto que habéis hecho.
6 So tue nun an euch der HERR Barmherzigkeit und Treue; und ich will euch auch Gutes tun, darum daß ihr solches getan habt.
7 Then let your hands be strong, and have no fear: though Saul your lord is dead, the people of Judah have made me their king.
7 Que vos mains se fortifient, et soyez de vaillants hommes; car votre maître Saül est mort, et c'est moi que la maison de Juda a oint pour roi sur elle.
7 Bíodh fuinneamh in bhur ngéaga mar sin agus bíodh misneach agaibh! Tá Sól bhur dtiarna tar éis bháis, ach rinne teaghlach Iúdá mise a ungadh le bheith i mo rí orthu!”
7 Esfuércense pues ahora vuestras manos, y sed valientes; pues que muerto Saúl vuestro señor, los de la casa de Judá me han ungido por rey sobre ellos.
7 So seien nun eure Hände getrost, und seit freudig; denn euer Herr, Saul ist tot; so hat mich das Haus Juda zum König gesalbt über sich.
8 Now Abner, the son of Ner, captain of Saul's army, had taken Saul's son Ish-bosheth over to Mahanaim,
8 Cependant Abner, fils de Ner, chef de l'armée de Saül, prit Isch Boscheth, fils de Saül, et le fit passer à Mahanaïm.
8 Aibnéar mac Néar, taoiseach airm Shóil, rug sé Ís Bál mac Shóil leis agus thug sé anonn go Machanáím é.
8 Mas Abner hijo de Ner, general de ejército de Saúl, tomó á Is-boseth hijo de Saúl, é hízolo pasar al real:
8 Abner aber, der Sohn Ners, der Sauls Feldhauptmann war, nahm Is-Boseth, Sauls Sohn, und führte ihn gen Mahanaim
9 And made him king over Gilead and the Asherites and over Jezreel and Ephraim and Benjamin, that is, over all Israel.
9 Il l'établit roi sur Galaad, sur les Gueschuriens, sur Jizreel, sur Éphraïm, sur Benjamin, sur tout Israël.
9 Rinne sé rí de ar Ghileád, ar na hAisiúraigh, ar Izréil, ar Eafráim agus ar Bhiniáimin agus ar Iosrael go léir.
9 Y alzólo por rey sobre Galaad, y sobre Gessuri, y sobre Jezreel, y sobre Ephraim, y sobre Benjamín, y sobre todo Israel.
9 und machte ihn zum König über Gilead, über die Asuriter, über Jesreel, Ephraim, Benjamin und über ganz Israel.
10 (Saul's son Ish-bosheth was forty years old when he became king over Israel, and he was ruler for two years.) But Judah was on the side of David.
10 Isch Boscheth, fils de Saül, était âgé de quarante ans, lorsqu'il devint roi d'Israël, et il régna deux ans. Il n'y eut que la maison de Juda qui resta attachée à David.
10 Bhí Ís Bál mac Shóil daichead bliain d'aois nuair a rinneadh rí ar Iosrael de; bhí sé dhá bhliain i gcoróin. Teaghlach Iúdá amháin a lean Dáiví.
10 De cuarenta años era Is-boseth hijo de Saúl, cuando comenzó á reinar sobre Israel; y reinó dos años. Sola la casa de Judá seguía á David.
10 Und Is-Boseth, Sauls Sohn, war vierzig Jahre alt, da er König ward über Israel, und regierte zwei Jahre. Aber das Haus Juda hielt es mit David.
11 And the time when David was king in Hebron over the people of Judah was seven years and six months.
11 Le temps pendant lequel David régna à Hébron sur la maison de Juda fut de sept ans et six mois.

11 Y fué el número de los días que David reinó en Hebrón sobre la casa de Judá, siete años y seis meses.
11 Die Zeit aber, da David König war zu Hebron über das Haus Juda, war sieben Jahre und sechs Monate.
12 And Abner, the son of Ner, with the servants of Saul's son Ish-bosheth, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
12 Abner, fils de Ner, et les gens d'Isch Boscheth, fils de Saül, sortirent de Mahanaïm pour marcher sur Gabaon.
12 Ghluais Aibnéar mac Néar agus lucht leanúna Ís Bál amach ó Mhachanáím go Gibeón.
12 Y Abner hijo de Ner salió de Mahanaim á Gabaón con los siervos de Is-boseth hijo de Saúl.
12 Und Abner, der Sohn Ners, zog aus samt den Knechten Is-Boseths, des Sohnes Sauls, von Mahanaim, gen Gibeon;
13 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out and came face to face with them by the pool of Gibeon; and they took up their position, facing one another on opposite sides of the pool.
13 Joab, fils de Tseruja, et les gens de David, se mirent aussi en marche. Ils se rencontrèrent près de l'étang de Gabaon, et ils s'arrêtèrent les uns en deçà de l'étang, et les autres au delà.
13 Ghluais Ióáb mac Zarúá agus lucht leanúna Dháiví amach chomh maith agus bhuaileadar le chéile ag Linn Ghibeón. Stad siad ansiúd, dream díobh ar thaobh den linn, agus an dream eile ar taobh eile.
13 Y Joab hijo de Sarvia, y los siervos de David, salieron y encontráronlos junto al estanque de Gabaón: y como se juntaron, paráronse los unos de la una parte del estanque, y los otros de la otra.
13 und Joab, der Zeruja Sohn, zog aus samt den Knechten Davids; und sie stießen aufeinander am Teich zu Gibeon, und lagerten sich diese auf dieser Seite des Teichs, jene auf jener Seite.
14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men give a test of their strength before us. And Joab said, Let them do so.
14 Abner dit à Joab: Que ces jeunes gens se lèvent, et qu'ils se battent devant nous! Joab répondit: Qu'ils se lèvent!
14 Dúirt Aibnéar le Ióáb: “Tagadh na hóglaigh chun tosaigh agus bíodh comhrac acu os ár gcomhair.” “Déanaidís,” arsa Ióáb.
14 Y dijo Abner á Joab: Levántense ahora los mancebos, y maniobren delante de nosotros. Y Joab respondió: Levántense.
14 Und Abner sprach zu Joab: Laß sich die Leute aufmachen und vor uns spielen. Joab sprach: Es gilt wohl.
15 So they got up and went over by number: twelve for Benjamin and Ish-bosheth and twelve of the servants of David.
15 Ils se levèrent et s'avancèrent en nombre égal, douze pour Benjamin et pour Isch Boscheth, fils de Saül, et douze des gens de David.
15 Tháinig siad chun tosaigh dá bhrí sin, agus rinneadh iad a áireamh - dháréag ó Bhiniáimin do Ís Bál mac Shóil, agus dháréag de lucht leanúna Dháiví.
15 Entonces se levantaron, y en número de doce, pasaron de Benjamín de la parte de Is-boseth hijo de Saúl; y doce de los siervos de David.
15 Da machten sich auf und gingen hin an der Zahl zwölf aus Benjamin auf Is-Boseths Teil, des Sohnes Sauls, und zwölf von den Knechten Davids.
16 And every one got the other by the head, driving his sword into the other's side, so they all went down together: and that place was named the Field of Sides, and it is in Gibeon.
16 Chacun saisissant son adversaire par la tête lui enfonça son épée dans le flanc, et ils tombèrent tous ensemble. Et l'on donna à ce lieu, qui est près de Gabaon, le nom de Helkath Hatsurim.
16 Rug gach duine díobh ar cheann ar a chéile comhraic agus rop a chlaíomh ina chliathán: thiteadar go léir ar an aon láthair. Tugadh Gort na [gCliathán] ar an áit dá bharrsan. Tá sé i nGibeón.
16 Y cada uno echó mano de la cabeza de su compañero, y metióle su espada por el costado, cayendo así á una; por lo que fué llamado aquel lugar, Helcath-assurim, el cual está en Gabaón.
16 Und ein jeglicher ergriff den andern bei dem Kopf und stieß ihm sein Schwert in seine Seite, und fielen miteinander; daher der Ort genannt wird: Helkath-Hazzurim, der zu Gibeon ist.
17 And there was hard fighting that day; and Abner and the men of Israel gave way before the servants of David.
17 Il y eut en ce jour un combat très rude, dans lequel Abner et les hommes d'Israël furent battus par les gens de David.
17 Tharla cath fíochmhar an lá sin féin, agus bhris lucht leanúna Dháiví ar Aibnéar agus ar shluaite Iosrael.
17 Y hubo aquel día una batalla muy recia, y Abner y los hombres de Israel fueron vencidos de los siervos de David.
17 Und es erhob sich ein sehr harter Streit des Tages. Abner aber und die Männer Israels wurden geschlagen vor den Knechten Davids.
18 There were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab and Abishai and Asahel: and Asahel was as quick-footed as a roe of the fields.
18 Là se trouvaient les trois fils de Tseruja: Joab, Abischaï et Asaël. Asaël avait les pieds légers comme une gazelle des champs:
18 Bhí triúr mac Zarúá ann - Ióáb, Aibísí agus Asáhael. Bhí Asáhael chomh luathchosach le heilit fhiáin.
18 Y estaban allí los tres hijos de Sarvia: Joab, y Abisai, y Asael. Este Asael era suelto de pies como un corzo del campo.
18 Es waren aber drei Söhne der Zeruja daselbst: Joab, Abisai und Asahel. Asahel aber war von leichten Füßen wie ein Reh auf den Felde
19 Asahel went running after Abner, not turning to the right or to the left.
19 il poursuivit Abner, sans se détourner de lui pour aller à droite ou à gauche.
19 Chuaigh Asáhael sa toir ar Aibnéar, gan casadh ar dheis ná ar chlé agus é sa tóir ar Aibnéar.
19 El cual Asael siguió á Abner, yendo tras de él sin apartarse á diestra ni á siniestra.
19 und jagte Abner nach und wich nicht weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken von Abner.
20 Then Abner, looking back, said, Is it you, Asahel? And he said, It is I.
20 Abner regarda derrière lui, et dit: Est-ce toi, Asaël? Et il répondit: C'est moi.
20 Chas Aibnéar siar air: “A Asáhael,” ar sé, “an tú atá ann?” D'fhreagair seisean: “is mé.”
20 Y Abner miró atrás, y dijo: ¿No eres tú Asael? Y él respondió: Sí.
20 Da wandte sich Abner um und sprach: Bist du Asahel? Er sprach: Ja.
21 And Abner said, Then go to the right or to the left and put your hands on one of the fighting-men and take his arms. But Asahel would not be turned away from going after Abner.
21 Abner lui dit: Tire à droite ou à gauche; saisis-toi de l'un de ces jeunes gens, et prends sa dépouille. Mais Asaël ne voulut point se détourner de lui.
21 “Cas ar do dheis nó ar do chlé,” arsa Aibnéar leis, “agus beir ar dhuine de na saighdiúirí agus tabhair leat a éadáil.” Ach ní scoirfeadh Asáhael den tóir air.
21 Entonces Abner le dijo: Apártate á la derecha ó á la izquierda, y agárrate alguno de los mancebos, y toma para ti sus despojos. Pero Asael no quiso apartarse de en pos de él.
21 Abner sprach zu ihm: Hebe dich entweder zur Rechten oder zur Linken und nimm für dich der Leute einen und nimm ihm sein Waffen. Aber Asahel wollte nicht von ihm ablassen.
22 Then again Abner said to Asahel, Go to one side, do not keep on coming after me: why will you make me put an end to you? for then I will be shamed before your brother Joab.
22 Abner dit encore à Asaël: Détourne-toi de moi; pourquoi te frapperais-je et t'abattrais-je en terre? comment ensuite lèverais-je le visage devant ton frère Joab?
22 Labhair Aibnéar aris le hAsáhael: “Éirigh as an tóir orm, murab áil leat go leagfainn ar lár thú. Ansin conas d'fhéadfainn féachaint san aghaidh ardo dheartháir Ióáb arís?”
22 Y Abner tornó á decir á Asael: Apártate de en pos de mí, porque te heriré derribándote en tierra, y después ¿cómo levantaré mi rostro á tu hermano Joab?
22 Da sprach Abner weiter zu Asahel: Hebe dich von mir! Warum willst du, daß ich dich zu Boden schlage? Und wie dürfte ich mein Antlitz aufheben vor deinem Bruder Joab?
23 But still he did not go to one side: so Abner gave him a back blow in the stomach with his spear, so that the spear came out at his back; and he went down on the earth, wounded to death: and all those who came to the place where Asahel went down dead, came to a stop.
23 Et Asaël refusa de se détourner. Sur quoi Abner le frappa au ventre avec l'extrémité inférieure de sa lance, et la lance sortit par derrière. Il tomba et mourut sur place. Tous ceux qui arrivaient au lieu où Asaël était tombé mort, s'y arrêtaient.
23 Ach níorbh áil leis casadh i leataobh agus bhuail Aibnéar sa bholg é le sáfach a shleá i dtreo gur tháinig an tsleá amach trína dhroim thiar. Thit sé ansiúd agus fuair bás ar an bhfód sin. Gach aon duine a tháinig mar ar thit Aibnéar, agus mar a bhfuair sé bás, stadadar.
23 Y no queriendo él irse, hiriólo Abner con el regatón de la lanza por la quinta costilla, y salióle la lanza por las espaldas, y cayó allí, y murió en aquel mismo sitio. Y todos los que venían por aquel lugar donde Asael había caído y estaba muerto, se paraban.
23 Aber er weigerte sich zu weichen. Da stach ihn Abner mit dem Schaft des Spießes in seinen Bauch, daß der Spieß hinten ausging; und er fiel daselbst und starb vor ihm. Und wer an den Ort kam, da Asahel tot lag, der stand still.
24 But Joab and Abishai went after Abner: and the sun went down when they came to the hill of Ammah, which is to the east of the road through the waste land of Geba.
24 Joab et Abischaï poursuivirent Abner, et le soleil se couchait quand ils arrivèrent au coteau d'Amma, qui est en face de Guiach, sur le chemin du désert de Gabaon.
24 Ach lean Ióáb agus Aibísí sa tóir ar Aibnéar agus le fuineadh néil nóna shroicheadar Sliabh Amá atá roimh Ghía ar an mbealach go fásach Ghideón.
24 Mas Joab y Abisai siguieron á Abner; y púsoseles el sol cuando llegaron al collado de Amma, que está delante de Gía, junto al camino del desierto de Gabaón.
24 Aber Joab und Abisai jagten Abner nach, bis die Sonne unterging. Und da sie kamen auf den Hügel Amma, der vor Giah liegt auf dem Wege zur Wüste Gibeon,
25 And the men of Benjamin came together after Abner in one band, and took their places on the top of a hill.
25 Les fils de Benjamin se rallièrent à la suite d'Abner et formèrent un corps, et ils s'arrêtèrent au sommet d'une colline.
25 Chruinnigh na Biniáiminigh le chéile ina gcipe dlúth ar chúl Aibnéar agus sheasadar an fod ar mhullach Shliabh Amá.
25 Y juntáronse los hijos de Benjamín en un escuadrón con Abner, y paráronse en la cumbre del collado.
25 versammelten sich die Kinder Benjamin hinter Abner her und wurden ein Haufe und traten auf eines Hügels Spitze.
26 Then crying out to Joab, Abner said, Are fighting and destruction to go on for ever? do you not see that the end will only be bitter? how long will it be before you send the people back and make them give up attacking their countrymen?
26 Abner appela Joab, et dit: L'épée dévorera-t-elle toujours? Ne sais-tu pas qu'il y aura de l'amertume à la fin? Jusques à quand tarderas-tu à dire au peuple de ne plus poursuivre ses frères?
26 Ghlaoigh Aibnéar ar Ióáb ansin agus dúirt: “An bhfuil an claíomh le bheith ag slogadh leis go deo?” ar sé. “Nach bhfuil a fhios agat gur tubaisteach an chríoch a bheidh air seo? An fada go ndéarfaidh tú leis na daoine seo stad de bheith ag tóraíocht ar a mbráithre?”
26 Y Abner dió voces á Joab, diciendo: ¿Consumirá la espada perpetuamente? ¿no sabes tú que al cabo se sigue amargura? ¿hasta cuándo no has de decir al pueblo que se vuelvan de seguir á sus hermanos?
26 Und Abner rief zu Joab und sprach: Soll denn das Schwert ohne Ende fressen? Weißt du nicht, daß hernach möchte mehr Jammer werden? Wie lange willst du dem Volk nicht sagen, daß es ablasse von seinen Brüdern?
27 And Joab said, By the living God, if you had not given the word, the people would have gone on attacking their countrymen till the morning.
27 Joab répondit: Dieu est vivant! si tu n'eusses parlé, le peuple n'aurait pas cessé avant le matin de poursuivre ses frères.
27 “Dar an Tiarna beo,” arsa Ióáb, “mura mbeadh gur labhair tú, ní scoirfeadh an dream seo den tóir ar a mbráithre go maidin.”
27 Y Joab respondió: Vive Dios que si no hubieras hablado, ya desde esta mañana el pueblo hubiera dejado de seguir á sus hermanos.
27 Joab sprach: So wahr Gott lebt, hättest du heute morgen so gesagt, das Volk hätte ein jeglicher von seinem Bruder abgelassen.
28 So Joab had a horn sounded, and all the people came to a stop, and gave up going after Israel and fighting them.
28 Et Joab sonna de la trompette, et tout le peuple s'arrêta; ils ne poursuivirent plus Israël, et ils ne continuèrent pas à se battre.
28 Ansin shéid Ióáb a stoc agus stad na saighdiúirí go léir gan dul sa tóir ar Iosrael a thuilleadh ná troid leo.
28 Entonces Joab tocó el cuerno, y todo el pueblo se detuvo, y no siguió más á los de Israel, ni peleó más.
28 Und Joab blies die Posaune, und alles Volk stand still und jagten nicht mehr Israel nach und stritten auch nicht mehr.
29 And all that night Abner and his men went through the Arabah; they went over Jordan and through all Bithron and came to Mahanaim.
29 Abner et ses gens marchèrent toute la nuit dans la plaine; ils passèrent le Jourdain, traversèrent en entier le Bithron, et arrivèrent à Mahanaïm.
29 Bhí Aibnéar agus a chuid fear ag imeacht leo tríd an Arabá ar feadh na hoíche sin go léir, agus ghabhadar thar an Iordáin, agus leanadar orthu an mhaidin sin gur tháinig siad go Machanáím.
29 Y Abner y los suyos caminaron por la campiña toda aquella noche, y pasando el Jordán cruzaron por todo Bitrón, y llegaron á Mahanaim.
29 Abner aber und seine Männer gingen die ganze Nacht über das Blachfeld und gingen über den Jordan und wandelten durchs ganze Bithron und kamen gen Mahanaim.
30 And Joab came back from fighting Abner: and when he had got all his men together, it was seen that nineteen of David's men, in addition to Asahel, were not with them.
30 Joab revint de la poursuite d'Abner, et rassembla tout le peuple; il manquait dix-neuf hommes des gens de David, et Asaël.
30 D'fhill Ióáb ón tóir ar Aibnéar, agus nuair a bhí a dhíorma go léir cruinnithe aige, bhí naonúr déag chomh maith le hAsáhael ar iarraidh ó lucht leanúna Dháiví,
30 Joab también volvió de seguir á Abner, y juntando todo el pueblo, faltaron de los siervos de David diecinueve hombres, y Asael.
30 Joab aber wandte sich von Abner und versammelte das ganze Volk; und es fehlten an den Knechten Davids neunzehn Mann und Asahel.
31 But David's men had put to death three hundred and sixty of the men of Benjamin and of Abner's men

31 Aber die Knechte Davids hatten geschlagen unter Benjamin und den Männern Abner, daß dreihundertundsechzig Mann waren tot geblieben.
32 And they took Asahel's body and put it in the last resting-place of his father in Beth-lehem. And Joab and his men, travelling all night, came to Hebron at dawn.
