1 Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made an attack on the South and on Ziklag, and had overcome Ziklag and put it on fire;
1 Lorsque David arriva le troisième jour à Tsiklag avec ses gens, les Amalécites avaient fait une invasion dans le midi et à Tsiklag. Ils avaient détruit et brûlé Tsiklag,

1 Y Cuando David y los suyos vinieron á Siclag el tercer día, los de Amalec habían invadido el mediodía y á Siclag, y habían desolado á Siclag, y puéstola á fuego.
1 Da nun David des dritten Tages kam gen Ziklag mit seinen Männern, waren die Amalekiter eingefallen ins Mittagsland und in Ziklag und hatten Ziklag geschlagen und mit Feuer verbrannt
2 And had made the women and all who were there, small and great, prisoners: they had not put any of them to death, but had taken them all away.
2 après avoir fait prisonniers les femmes et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, petits et grands. Ils n'avaient tué personne, mais ils avaient tout emmené et s'étaient remis en route.
2 agus ghabhadar na mná agus a raibh ann, idir bheag agus mhór ina mbránna, gan aon duine a mharú, ach na bránna a ghabháil agus imeacht leo.
2 Y habíanse llevado cautivas á las mujeres que estaban en ella, desde el menor hasta el mayor; mas á nadie habían muerto, sino llevado, é ídose su camino.
2 und hatten die Weiber daraus weggeführt, beide, klein und groß; sie hatten aber niemand getötet, sondern weggetrieben, und waren dahin ihres Weges.
3 And when David and his men came to the town, they saw that it had been burned down, and their wives and their sons and daughters had been made prisoners.
3 David et ses gens arrivèrent à la ville, et voici, elle était brûlée; et leurs femmes, leurs fils et leurs filles, étaient emmenés captifs.
3 Nuair a shroich Dáiví agus a mhuintir an áit fuaireadar an chathair dóite go talamh, agus a mná agus a gclann mhac agus iníonacha fuadaithe ina mbránna.
3 Vino pues David con los suyos á la ciudad, y he aquí que estaba quemada á fuego, y sus mujeres y sus hijos é hijas llevadas cautivas.
3 Da nun David samt seinen Männern zur Stadt kam und sah, daß sie mit Feuer verbrannt und ihre Weiber, Söhne und Töchter gefangen waren,
4 Then David and the people who were with him gave themselves up to weeping till they were able to go on weeping no longer.
4 Alors David et le peuple qui était avec lui élevèrent la voix et pleurèrent jusqu'à ce qu'ils n'eussent plus la force de pleurer.
4 Ansin chaoin Dáiví agus an mhuintir a bhí in éineacht leis in ard a gcinn go dtí go rabhadar chomh lag sin nárbh fhéidir leo caoineadh a thuilleadh.
4 Entonces David y la gente que con él estaba, alzaron su voz y lloraron, hasta que les faltaron las fuerzas para llorar.
4 hoben David und das Volk, das bei ihm war, ihre Stimme auf und weinten, bis sie nicht mehr weinen konnten.
5 And David's two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the wife of Nabal of Carmel, had been made prisoners.
5 Les deux femmes de David avaient été emmenées, Achinoam de Jizreel, et Abigaïl de Carmel, femme de Nabal.
5 Beirt bhan Dháiví, Aichíonaom ó Izréil agus Aibíogáil baintreach Nábál ó Chairmeil, bhíodar gafa ina mbránna.
5 Las dos mujeres de David, Ahinoam Jezreelita y Abigail la que fué mujer de Nabal del Carmelo, también eran cautivas.
5 Denn Davids zwei Weiber waren auch gefangen: Ahinoam, die Jesreelitin, und Abigail, Nabals Weib, des Karmeliten.
6 And David was greatly troubled; for the people were talking of stoning him, because their hearts were bitter, every man sorrowing for his sons and his daughters: but David made himself strong in the Lord his God.
6 David fut dans une grande angoisse, car le peuple parlait de le lapider, parce que tous avaient de l'amertume dans l'âme, chacun à cause de ses fils et de ses filles. Mais David reprit courage en s'appuyant sur l'Éternel, son Dieu.
6 Bhí Dáiví an-bhuartha mar go raibh an pobal ag caint ar ghabháil de chlocha ann; bhí an pobal go léir gruama ina gcroí, gach duine ar son a mhac agus a iníonacha féin. Ach fuair Dáiví misneach ón Tiarna a Dhia.
6 Y David fué muy angustiado, porque el pueblo hablaba de apedrearlo; porque todo el pueblo estaba con ánimo amargo, cada uno por sus hijos y por sus hijas: mas David se esforzó en Jehová su Dios.
6 Und David war sehr geängstet, denn das Volk wollte ihn steinigen; denn des ganzen Volkes Seele war unwillig, ein jeglicher um seine Söhne und Töchter willen. David aber stärkte sich in dem HERRN, seinem Gott,
7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, Come here to me with the ephod. And Abiathar took the ephod to David.
7 Il dit au sacrificateur Abiathar, fils d'Achimélec: Apporte-moi donc l'éphod! Abiathar apporta l'éphod à David.
7 Dúirt Dáiví le hAibíátár mac Aichímeilic an sagart: “Tabhair chugam an t‑éafód”; agus thug Aibíátár an t‑éafód go Dáiví.
7 Y dijo David al sacerdote Abiathar hijo de Ahimelech: Yo te ruego que me acerques el ephod. Y Abiathar acercó el ephod á David.
7 und sprach zu Abjathar, dem Priester, Ahimelechs Sohn: Bringe mir her den Leibrock. Und da Abjathar den Leibrock zu David gebracht hatte,
8 Then David, questioning the Lord, said, Am I to go after this band? will I be able to overtake them? And in answer he said, Go after them, for you will certainly overtake them, and get back everything.
8 Et David consulta l'Éternel, en disant: Poursuivrai-je cette troupe? l'atteindrai-je? L'Éternel lui répondit: Poursuis, car tu atteindras, et tu délivreras.
8 Ansin chuaigh Dáiví i gcomhairle leis an Tiarna: “An rachaidh mé sa tóir ar an gceithearn seo? An mbéarfaidh mé orthu?” D'fhreagair sé: “Téigh sa tóir orthu; béarfaidh tú orthu go cinnte agus déanfaidh tú na bránna a fhuascailt, déanfaidh tú sin.”
8 Y David consultó á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Seguiré esta tropa? ¿podréla alcanzar? Y él le dijo: Síguela que de cierto la alcanzarás, y sin falta librarás la presa.
8 fragte David den HERRN und sprach: Soll ich den Kriegsleuten nachjagen, und werde ich sie ergreifen? Er sprach: Jage ihnen nach! du wirst sie ergreifen und Rettung tun.
9 So David went, and his six hundred men went with him, and they came to the stream Besor.
9 Et David se mit en marche, lui et les six cents hommes qui étaient avec lui. Ils arrivèrent au torrent de Besor, où s'arrêtèrent ceux qui restaient en arrière.
9 Chuir Dáiví chun bóthair dá bhrí sin leis an sé chéad fear a bhí ina theannta agus shroicheadar sileán Bhasór [agus d'fhan an chuid eile ina ndiaidh].
9 Partióse pues David, él y los seiscientos hombres que con él estaban, y vinieron hasta el torrente de Besor, donde se quedaron algunos.
9 Da zog David hin und die sechshundert Mann, die bei ihm waren; und da sie kamen an den Bach Besor, blieben etliche stehen.
10 And David, with four hundred men, went on: but two hundred of them were overcome with weariness, and not able to go across the stream.
10 David continua la poursuite avec quatre cents hommes; deux cents hommes s'arrêtèrent, trop fatigués pour passer le torrent de Besor.
10 Lean Dáiví air sa tóir ansin le ceithre chéad fear, ach d'fhan dhá chéad ina ndiaidh mar go rabhadar róthraochta chun dul thar sileán Bhasór.
10 Y David siguió el alcance con cuatrocientos hombres; porque se quedaron atrás doscientos, que cansados no pudieron pasar el torrente de Besor.
10 David aber und die vierhundert Mann jagten nach; die zweihundert Mann aber, die stehen blieben, waren zu müde, über den Bach Besor zu gehen.
11 And in the fields they saw an Egyptian whom they took to David, and they gave him bread, and he had a meal, and they gave him water for drink;
11 Ils trouvèrent dans les champs un homme égyptien, qu'ils conduisirent auprès de David. Ils lui firent manger du pain et boire de l'eau,
11 Fuaireadar Éigipteach sna bánta agus thugadar go Dáiví é. Thugadar arán dó agus d'ith sé é, agus uisce le hól dó.
11 Y hallaron en el campo un hombre Egipcio, el cual trajeron á David, y diéronle pan que comiese, y á beber agua;
11 Und sie fanden einen ägyptischen Mann im Felde; den führten sie zu David und gaben ihm Brot, daß er aß und tränkten ihn mit Wasser
12 And they gave him part of a cake of figs and some dry grapes; and after the food, his spirit came back to him, for he had had no food or drink for three days and nights.
12 et ils lui donnèrent un morceau d'une masse de figues sèches et deux masses de raisins secs. Après qu'il eut mangé, les forces lui revinrent, car il n'avait point pris de nourriture et point bu d'eau depuis trois jours et trois nuits.
12 Thugadar blúire de cháca figí dó agus dhá chrobhaing rísíní; d'ith sé an méid sin agus tháinig misneach arís chuige mar ní raibh greim aráin ná deoch uisce caite aige le trí lá agus trí oíche.
12 Diéronle también un pedazo de masa de higos secos, y dos hilos de pasas. Y luego que comió, volvió en él su espíritu; porque no había comido pan ni bebido agua en tres días y tres noches.
12 und gaben ihm ein Stück Feigenkuchen und zwei Rosinenkuchen. Und da er gegessen hatte, kam sein Geist wieder zu ihm; denn er hatte in drei Tagen und drei Nächten nichts gegessen und kein Wasser getrunken.
13 And David said to him, Whose man are you and where do you come from? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master went on without me because three days back I became ill.
13 David lui dit: A qui es-tu, et d'où es-tu? Il répondit: Je suis un garçon égyptien, au service d'un homme amalécite, et voilà trois jours que mon maître m'a abandonné parce que j'étais malade.
13 Ansin chuir Dáiví ceist air: “Cé leis thú?” ar sé, “agus cad as duit?” “Éigipteach óg mé,” ar sé, “daor le hAmailéiceach; d'fhág mo mhaistir ina dhiaidh mé mar gur buaileadh breoite mé trí lá ó shin.
13 Y díjole David: ¿De quién eres tú? ¿y de dónde eres? Y respondió el mozo Egipcio: Yo soy siervo de un Amalecita, y dejóme mi amo hoy ha tres días, porque estaba enfermo;
13 David aber sprach zu ihm: Wes bist du? und woher bist du? Er sprach: Ich bin ein ägyptischer Jüngling, eines Amalekiters Knecht, und mein Herr hat mich verlassen; denn ich war krank vor drei Tagen.
14 We made an attack on the south part of the country of the Cherethites, and on the land which is Judah's, and on the south of Caleb; and we put Ziklag on fire.
14 Nous avons fait une invasion dans le midi des Kéréthiens, sur le territoire de Juda et au midi de Caleb, et nous avons brûlé Tsiklag.
14 Rinneamar ionradh ar Neigib na gCeiriteach, agus ar Neigib Iúdá, agus ar Neigib Chálaeb, agus chuireamar Zicleag trí thine.”
14 Pues hicimos una incursión á la parte del mediodía de Cerethi, y á Judá, y al mediodía de Caleb; y pusimos fuego á Siclag.
14 Wir sind eingefallen in das Mittagsland der Krether und in Juda und in das Mittagsland Kalebs und haben Ziklag mit Feuer verbrannt.
15 And David said to him, Will you take me down to this band? And he said, If you give me your oath that you will not put me to death or give me up to my master, I will take you to them.
15 David lui dit: Veux-tu me faire descendre vers cette troupe? Et il répondit: Jure-moi par le nom de Dieu que tu ne me tueras pas et que tu ne me livreras pas à mon maître, et je te ferai descendre vers cette troupe.
15 Dúirt Dáiví leis: “An dtreoroidh tú síos chun na ceithirne seo mé?” D'fhreagair sé: “Mionnaigh dom dar Dia nach maróidh tú mé, ná mé a thabhairt i láimh mo mháistir, agus treoróidh mé síos chun na ceithirne seo thú.”
15 Y díjole David: ¿Me llevarás tú á esa tropa? Y él dijo: Hazme juramento por Dios que no me matarás, ni me entregarás en las manos de mi amo, y yo te llevaré á esa gente.
15 David sprach zu ihm: Willst du mich hinführen zu diesen Kriegsleuten? Er sprach: Schwöre mir bei Gott, daß du mich nicht tötest noch in meines Herrn Hand überantwortest, so will ich dich hinabführen zu diesen Kriegsleuten.
16 And when he had taken him down, they saw them all, seated about on all sides, feasting and drinking among all the mass of goods which they had taken from the land of the Philistines and the land of Judah.
16 Il lui servit ainsi de guide. Et voici, les Amalécites étaient répandus sur toute la contrée, mangeant, buvant et dansant, à cause du grand butin qu'ils avaient enlevé du pays des Philistins et du pays de Juda.
16 Nuair a threoraigh sé síos é, b'shiúd iad ansiúd agus iad scaipthe ar fud na dúiche ar fad ag ithe agus ag ól agus ag rince de bharr na creiche móire a bhí tógtha acu as tír na bhFilistíneach agus as tír Iúdá.
16 Llevólo pues: y he aquí que estaban derramados sobre la haz de toda aquella tierra, comiendo y bebiendo y haciendo fiesta, por toda aquella gran presa que habían tomado de la tierra de los Filisteos, y de la tierra de Judá.
16 Und er führte ihn hinab. Und siehe, sie hatten sich zerstreut auf dem ganzen Lande, aßen und tranken und feierten über all dem großen Raub, den sie genommen hatten aus der Philister und Juda's Lande.
17 And David went on fighting them from evening till the evening of the day after; and not one of them got away but only four hundred young men who went in flight on camels.
17 David les battit depuis l'aube du jour jusqu'au soir du lendemain, et aucun d'eux n'échappa, excepté quatre cents jeunes hommes qui montèrent sur des chameaux et s'enfuirent.
17 Bhí Dáiví á dtreascairt ó chlapsholas go tráthnona lá arna mhárach agus chuir sé iad faoin mbang. Níor tháinig aon duine slán ach ceithre chéad óglach a léim ar muin camall agus a theith.
17 E hiriólos David desde aquella mañana hasta la tarde del día siguiente: y no escapó de ellos ninguno, sino cuatrocientos mancebos, que habían subido en camellos y huyeron.
17 Und David schlug sie vom Morgen an bis an den Abend gegen den andern Tag, daß ihrer keiner entrann, außer vierhundert Jünglinge; die stiegen auf die Kamele und flohen.
18 And David got back everything the Amalekites had taken; and he got back his two wives.
18 David sauva tout ce que les Amalécites avaient pris, et il délivra aussi ses deux femmes.
18 D'fhuascail Dáiví na bránna go léir a ghabh na hAmailéicigh; d'fhuascail Dáiví a bheirt bhan chomh maith.
18 Y libró David todo lo que los Amalecitas habían tomado: y asimismo libertó David á sus dos mujeres.
18 Also errettete David alles, was die Amalekiter genommen hatten, und seine zwei Weiber;
19 There was no loss of anything, small or great, sons or daughters or goods or anything which they had taken away: David got it all back.
19 Il ne leur manqua personne, ni petit ni grand, ni fils ni fille, ni aucune chose du butin, ni rien de ce qu'on leur avait enlevé: David ramena tout.
19 Ní raibh aon ní ar iarraidh, beag ná mór, mic ná iníonacha, creach ná aon ní dár fuadaíodh. Thug Dáiví gach rud ar ais.
19 Y no les faltó cosa chica ni grande, así de hijos como de hijas, del robo, y de todas las cosas que les habían tomado: todo lo recobró David.
19 und fehlte an keinem, weder klein noch groß noch Söhne noch Töchter noch Beute noch alles, das sie genommen hatten; David brachte es alles wieder.
20 And they took all the flocks and herds, and driving them in front of him, said, These are David's.
20 Et David prit tout le menu et le gros bétail; et ceux qui conduisaient ce troupeau et marchaient à sa tête disaient: C'est ici le butin de David.
20 Ghabh Dáiví na tréada agus na táinte chomh maith agus thiomáin an pobal an t‑eallach seo roimhe. “Seo creach Dháiví,” a liúdar.
20 Tomó también David todas las ovejas y ganados mayores; y trayéndolo todo delante, decían: Esta es la presa de David.
20 Und David nahm die Schafe und Rinder und trieb das Vieh vor sich her, und sie sprachen: Das ist Davids Raub.
21 And David came to the two hundred men, who because of weariness had not gone with him, but were waiting at the stream Besor: and they went out, meeting David and the people who were with him; and when they came near them, they said, How are you?
21 David arriva auprès des deux cents hommes qui avaient été trop fatigués pour le suivre, et qu'on avait laissés au torrent de Besor. Ils s'avancèrent à la rencontre de David et du peuple qui était avec lui. David s'approcha d'eux, et leur demanda comment ils se trouvaient.
21 Ansin tháinig Dáiví go dtí an dá chéad a bhí rothraochta chun é a leanúint, an mhuintir a fágadh ag sileán Bhasór. Chuadarsan amach in airicis Dháiví agus na bhfear a bhí ina choimhdeacht, agus nuair tháinig Dáiví i gcóngar na ndaoine bheannaigh sé dóibh.
21 Y vino David á los doscientos hombres que habían quedado cansados y no habían podido seguir á David, á los cuales habían hecho quedar en el torrente de Besor; y ellos salieron á recibir á David, y al pueblo que con él estaba. Y como David llegó á la gente, saludóles con paz.
21 Und da David zu den zweihundert Männern kam, die zu müde gewesen, David nachzufolgen, und am Bach Besor geblieben waren, gingen sie heraus, David entgegen und dem Volk, das mit ihm war. Und David trat zum Volk und grüßte sie freundlich.
22 Then the bad and good-for-nothing men among those who went with David said, Because they did not go with us, we will give them nothing of the goods which we have got back, but only to every man his wife and children, so that he may take them and go.
22 Tous les hommes méchants et vils parmi les gens qui étaient allés avec David prirent la parole et dirent: Puisqu'ils ne sont pas venus avec nous, nous ne leur donnerons rien du butin que nous avons sauvé, sinon à chacun sa femme et ses enfants; qu'ils les emmènent, et s'en aillent.
22 Ach na cladhairí agus na bithiúnaigh go léir ar na fir a d'imigh amach le Dáiví, dúradar: “Ní dheachadar inár dteannta, agus ní thabharfaimid dóibh dá bhrí sin aon chuid den chreach a d'fhuasclaíomar, ach gur féidir le gach fear a bhean agus a chlann a bhreith leis agus imeacht.”
22 Entonces todos los malos y perversos de entre los que habían ido con David, respondieron y dijeron: Pues que no fueron con nosotros, no les daremos de la presa que hemos quitado, sino á cada uno su mujer y sus hijos; los cuales tomen y se vayan.
22 Da antworteten, was böse und lose Leute waren unter denen, die mit David gezogen waren, und sprachen: Weil sie nicht mit uns gezogen sind, soll man ihnen nichts geben von der Beute, die wir errettet haben; sondern ein jeglicher führe sein Weib und seine Kinder und gehe hin.
23 Then David said, You are not to do this, my brothers, after what the Lord has given us, who has kept us safe and given up the band which came against us into our hands.
23 Mais David dit: N'agissez pas ainsi, mes frères, au sujet de ce que l'Éternel nous a donné; car il nous a gardés, et il a livré entre nos mains la troupe qui était venue contre nous.
23 Ach dúirt Dáiví: “Ná déanaigí aon ní dá short, [tar éis a bhfuil] déanta ag an Tiarna dúinn; chosain sé sinn agus thug sé inár láimh dúinn an cheithearn a rinne foghail orainn.
23 Y David dijo: No hagáis eso, hermanos míos, de lo que nos ha dado Jehová; el cual nos ha guardado, y ha entregado en nuestras manos la caterva que vino sobre nosotros.
23 Da sprach David: Ihr sollt nicht so tun, Brüder, mit dem, was uns der HERR gegeben hat, und hat uns behütet und diese Kriegsleute, die wider uns gekommen waren, in unsere Hände gegeben.
24 Who is going to give any attention to you in this question? for an equal part will be given to him who went to the fight and to him who was waiting by the goods: they are all to have the same.
24 Et qui vous écouterait dans cette affaire? La part doit être la même pour celui qui est descendu sur le champ de bataille et pour celui qui est resté près des bagages: ensemble ils partageront.
24 Cé réiteodh libh air sin? Is cuma roinn an té a chuaigh síos chun an chatha nó roinn an té a d'fhan leis an mbagáiste. Is ionann an roinn a gheobhaidh siad.”
24 ¿Y quién os escuchará en este caso? porque igual parte ha de ser la de los que vienen á la batalla, y la de los que quedan con el bagaje: que partan juntamente.
24 Wer sollte euch darin gehorchen? Wie das Teil derjenigen, die in den Streit hinabgezogen sind, so soll auch sein das Teil derjenigen, die bei dem Geräte geblieben sind, und soll gleich geteilt werden.
25 And so he made it a rule and an order for Israel from that day till now.
25 Il en fut ainsi dès ce jour et dans la suite, et l'on a fait de cela jusqu'à ce jour une loi et une coutume en Israël.
25 Ón lá sin amach rinne sé reacht agus dlí de sin in Iosrael, rud atá i bhfeidhm go dtí inniu féin.
25 Y desde aquel día en adelante fué esto puesto por ley y ordenanza en Israel, hasta hoy.
25 Das ist seit der Zeit und forthin in Israel Sitte und Recht geworden bis auf diesen Tag.
26 And when David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the goods to the responsible men of Judah, and to his friends, saying, Here is an offering for you from the goods of those who were fighting against the Lord;
26 De retour à Tsiklag, David envoya une partie du butin aux anciens de Juda, à ses amis, en leur adressant ces paroles: Voici pour vous un présent sur le butin des ennemis de l'Éternel!
26 Nuair a tháinig Dáiví go Zicleag, chuir sé cuid den chreach go seanóirí Iúdá, a chairde, á rá: “Seo bronntanas daoibh as an gcreach a baineadh de naimhde an Tiarna”;
26 Y como David llegó á Siclag, envió de la presa á los ancianos de Judá, sus amigos, diciendo: He aquí una bendición para vosotros, de la presa de los enemigos de Jehová.
26 Und da David gen Ziklag kam, sandte er von der Beute den Ältesten in Juda, seinen Freunden, und sprach: Siehe, da habt ihr den Segen aus der Beute der Feinde des HERRN!
27 He sent to those who were in Beth-el, and in Ramah of the South, and in Jattir;
27 Il fit ainsi des envois à ceux de Béthel, à ceux de Ramoth du midi, à ceux de Jatthir,
27 do mhuintir Bhéitéil, do mhuintir Rámót sa Neigib, do mhuintir Iaitir,
27 A los que estaban en Beth-el, y en Ramoth al mediodía, y á los que estaban en Jattir;
27 nämlich denen zu Beth-El, denen zu Ramoth im Mittagsland, denen zu Jatthir,
28 And to those in Arara and Eshtemoa
28 à ceux d'Aroër, à ceux de Siphmoth, à ceux d'Eschthemoa,
28 do mhuintir Aroéir, do mhuintir Shiofmót, do mhuintir Isteamoa,
28 Y á los que estaban en Aroer, y en Siphmoth, y á los que estaban en Esthemoa;
28 denen zu Aroer, denen zu Siphamoth, denen zu Esthemoa,
29 and Carmel and in the towns of the Jerahmeelites, and in the towns of the Kenites;
29 à ceux de Racal, à ceux des villes des Jerachmeélites, à ceux des villes des Kéniens,
29 do mhuintir Rácál, don mhuintir i gcathracha Iarachmael, don mhuintir i gcathracha na gCéineach,
