1 Now in those days the Philistines got their forces together to make war on Israel. And Achish said to David, Certainly you and your men are to go out with me to the fight.
1 En ce temps-là, les Philistins rassemblèrent leurs troupes et formèrent une armée, pour faire la guerre à Israël. Akisch dit à David: Tu sais que tu viendras avec moi à l'armée, toi et tes gens.
1 Chuir na Filistínigh tionól ar a sluaite sna laethanta úd chun dul chun catha le hIosrael. Agus dúirt Áicís le Dáiví: “Bíodh a fhios agat go rachaidh tusa freisin agus do chuid fear ar an slógadh liom.”
1 Y Acontecio que en aquellos días los Filisteos juntaron sus campos para pelear contra Israel. Y dijo Achîs á David: Sabe de cierto que has de salir conmigo á campaña, tú y los tuyos.
1 Und es begab sich zu derselben Zeit, daß die Philister ihr Heer versammelten, in den Streit zu ziehen wieder Israel. Und Achis sprach zu David: Du sollst wissen, daß du und deine Männer sollt mit mir ausziehen ins Heer.
2 And David said to Achish, You will see now what your servant will do. And Achish said to David, Then I will make you keeper of my head for ever.
2 David répondit à Akisch: Tu verras bien ce que ton serviteur fera. Et Akisch dit à David: Aussi je te donnerai pour toujours la garde de ma personne.
2 D'fhreagair Dáiví Áicís: “Tá go maith! Beidh a fhios agat cad is féidir le do sheirbhíseach a dhéanamh.” Agus dúirt Áicís le Dáiví: “An-mhaith! Ceapfaidh mé thú mar gharda cosanta orm le do shaol.” Sól agus an tAsarlaí
2 Y David respondió á Achîs: Sabrás pues lo que hará tu siervo. Y Achîs dijo á David: Por tanto te haré guarda de mi cabeza todos los días.
2 David sprach zu Achis: Wohlan, du sollst erfahren, was dein Knecht tun wird. Achis sprach zu David: Darum will ich dich zum Hüter meines Hauptes setzen mein Leben lang.
3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel, after weeping for him, had put his body in its last resting-place in Ramah, his town. And Saul had put away from the land all those who had control of spirits and who made use of secret arts.
3 Samuel était mort; tout Israël l'avait pleuré, et on l'avait enterré à Rama, dans sa ville. Saül avait ôté du pays ceux qui évoquaient les morts et ceux qui prédisaient l'avenir.
3 Bhí Samúéil tar éis bháis, agus chaoin Iosrael go léir é agus d'adhlacadar é i Rámá, a chathair féin. Bhí na hasarlaithe agus na draoithe díbeartha ag Sól as an tír.
3 Ya Samuel era muerto, y todo Israel lo había lamentado, y habíanle sepultado en Rama, en su ciudad. Y Saúl había echado de la tierra los encantadores y adivinos.
3 Samuel aber war gestorben, und ganz Israel hatte Leid um ihn getragen und ihn begraben in seiner Stadt in Rama. Und Saul hatte aus dem Lande vertrieben die Wahrsager und Zeichendeuter.
4 And the Philistines came together and put their forces in position in Shunem; and Saul got all Israel together and they took up their positions in Gilboa.
4 Les Philistins se rassemblèrent, et vinrent camper à Sunem; Saül rassembla tout Israël, et ils campèrent à Guilboa.
4 Chruinnigh na Filistínigh le chéile agus shuíodar a gcampa i Siúnaem; agus chuir Sól tionól ar Iosrael go léir agus shuíodar a gcampa i nGiolboa.
4 Pues como los Filisteos se juntaron, vinieron y asentaron campo en Sunam: y Saúl juntó á todo Israel, y asentaron campo en Gilboa.
4 Da nun die Philister sich versammelten und kamen und lagerten sich zu Sunem, versammelte Saul auch das ganze Israel, und sie lagerten sich zu Gilboa.
5 And when Saul saw the Philistine army he was troubled, and his heart was moved with fear.
5 A la vue du camp des Philistins, Saül fut saisi de crainte, et un violent tremblement s'empara de son coeur.
5 Nuair a chonaic Sól sluaite na bhFilistíneach, tháinig scanradh air agus bhí sé ar ballchrith.
5 Y cuando vió Saúl el campo de los Filisteos, temió, y turbóse su corazón en gran manera.
5 Da aber Saul der Philister Heer sah, fürchtete er sich, und sein Herz verzagte sehr.
6 And when Saul went for directions to the Lord, the Lord gave him no answer, by a dream or by the Urim or by the prophets.
6 Saül consulta l'Éternel; et l'Éternel ne lui répondit point, ni par des songes, ni par l'urim, ni par les prophètes.
6 Chuaigh sé i gcomhairle leis an Tiarna, ach freagra ní bhfuair sé trí thaibhreamh, ná tríd an Úirím ná trí fháithe.
6 Y consultó Saúl á Jehová; pero Jehová no le respondió, ni por sueños, ni por Urim, ni por profetas.
6 Und er ratfragte den HERRN; aber der HERR antwortete ihm nicht, weder durch Träume noch durchs Licht noch durch Propheten.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, Get me a woman who has control of a spirit so that I may go to her and get directions. And his servants said to him, There is such a woman at En-dor.
7 Et Saül dit à ses serviteurs: Cherchez-moi une femme qui évoque les morts, et j'irai la consulter. Ses serviteurs lui dirent: Voici, à En Dor il y a une femme qui évoque les morts.
7 Ansin dúirt Sól lena ghiollaí: “Faighigí asarlaí mná dom le dul chuici agus a comhairle a fháil.” D'fhreagair a ghiollaí. “Tá asarlaí in Éan Dór.”
7 Entonces Saúl dijo á sus criados: Buscadme una mujer que tenga espíritu de pythón, para que yo vaya á ella, y por medio de ella pregunte. Y sus criados le respondieron: He aquí hay una mujer en Endor que tiene espíritu de pythón.
7 Da sprach Saul zu seinen Knechten: Sucht mir ein Weib, die einen Wahrsagergeist hat, daß ich zu ihr gehe und sie Frage. Seine Knechte sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, zu Endor ist ein Weib, die hat einen Wahrsagergeist.
8 So Saul, putting on other clothing, so that he might not be seen to be the king, took two men with him and went to the woman by night; and he said, Now, with the help of the spirit which you have, make the person whose name I will give you come up.
8 Alors Saül se déguisa et prit d'autres vêtements, et il partit avec deux hommes. Ils arrivèrent de nuit chez la femme. Saül lui dit: Prédis-moi l'avenir en évoquant un mort, et fais-moi monter celui que je te dirai.
8 Chuir Sól bréagriocht air féin agus malairt éide agus chuir chun bealaigh agus beirt ina choimhdeacht; san oíche a rinneadar an t‑aistear chun na mná. “Taispeáin dom,” ar sé, “a bhfuil le teacht le cabhair spioraid; tabhair aníos chugam an té a ainmneoidh mé duit.”
8 Y disfrazóse Saúl, y púsose otros vestidos, y fuése con dos hombres, y vinieron á aquella mujer de noche; y él dijo: Yo te ruego que me adivines por el espíritu de pythón, y me hagas subir á quien yo te dijere.
8 Und Saul wechselte seine Kleider und zog andere an und ging hin und zwei Männer mit ihm, und sie kamen bei der Nacht zu dem Weibe, und er sprach: Weissage mir doch durch den Wahrsagergeist und bringe mir herauf, den ich dir sage.
9 And the woman said to him, But you have knowledge of what Saul has done, how he has put away out of the land those who have control of spirits and the users of secret arts: why would you, by a trick, put me in danger of death?
9 La femme lui répondit: Voici, tu sais ce que Saül a fait, comment il a retranché du pays ceux qui évoquent les morts et ceux qui prédisent l'avenir; pourquoi donc tends-tu un piège à ma vie pour me faire mourir?
9 D'fhreagair an bhean é: “Tá a fhios agat, ar ndóigh, cad a rinne Sól, conas mar atá na hasarlaithe agus na draoithe díbeartha as an tír aige. Cad a ba áil leat, más ea, ag cur gaiste i bhfearas do m'anam leis an mbás a thabhairt orm?”
9 Y la mujer le dijo: He aquí tú sabes lo que Saúl ha hecho, cómo ha separado de la tierra los pythones y los adivinos: ¿por qué pues pones tropiezo á mi vida, para hacerme matar?
9 Das Weib sprach zu ihm: Siehe, du weißt wohl, was Saul getan hat, wie er die Wahrsager und Zeichendeuter ausgerottet hat vom Lande; warum willst du denn meine Seele ins Netz führen, daß ich getötet werde?
10 And Saul made an oath to her by the Lord, saying, By the living Lord, no punishment will come to you for this.
10 Saül lui jura par l'Éternel, en disant: L'Éternel est vivant! il ne t'arrivera point de mal pour cela.
10 Mhionnaigh Sól di dar an Tiarna: “Dar an Tiarna beo,” ar sé, “ní chuirfear aon mhilleán ort de bharr an ghnó seo.”
10 Entoces Saúl le juró por Jehová, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ningún mal te vendrá por esto.
10 Saul aber schwur ihr bei dem HERRN und sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, es soll dir dies nicht zur Missetat geraten.
11 Then the woman said, Who am I to let you see? And he said, Make Samuel come up for me.
11 La femme dit: Qui veux-tu que je te fasse monter? Et il répondit: Fais moi monter Samuel.
11 Ansin dúirt an bhean: “Cé thabharfaidh mé aníos chugat?” “Tabhair Samúéil aníos chugam,” ar sé.
11 La mujer entonces dijo: ¿A quién te haré venir? Y él respondió: Hazme venir á Samuel.
11 Da sprach das Weib: Wen soll ich dir denn heraufbringen? Er sprach: Bringe mir Samuel herauf.
12 And the woman saw that it was Saul, and she gave a loud cry, and said to Saul, Why have you made use of deceit? for you are Saul.
12 Lorsque la femme vit Samuel, elle poussa un grand cri, et elle dit à Saül: Pourquoi m'as-tu trompée? Tu es Saül!
12 Ansin chonaic an bhean Samúéil agus scread sí in ard a cinn, agus dúirt le Sól: “Cén fáth gur chuir tú dallamullóg orm? Is tú Sól!”
12 Y viendo la mujer á Samuel, clamó en alta voz, y habló aquella mujer á Saúl, diciendo:
12 Da nun das Weib Samuel sah, schrie sie laut und sprach zu Saul: Warum hast du mich betrogen? Du bist Saul.
13 And the king said to her, Have no fear: what do you see? And the woman said to Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.
13 Le roi lui dit: Ne crains rien; mais que vois-tu? La femme dit à Saül: je vois un dieu qui monte de la terre.
13 Dúirt an rí léi: “Na bíodh eagla ort! Cad a fheiceann tú?” “Feicim spiorad ag éirí aníos as an talamh,” ar sí le Sól.
13 ¿Por qué me has engañado? que tú eres Saúl. Y el rey le dijo: No temas: ¿qué has visto? Y la mujer respondió á Saúl: He visto dioses que suben de la tierra.
13 Und der König sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! Was siehst du? Das Weib sprach zu Saul: Ich sehe Götter heraufsteigen aus der Erde.
14 And he said to her, What is his form? And she said, It is an old man coming up covered with a robe. And Saul saw that it was Samuel, and with his face bent down to the earth he gave him honour.
14 Il lui dit: Quelle figure a-t-il? Et elle répondit: C'est un vieillard qui monte et il est enveloppé d'un manteau. Saül comprit que c'était Samuel, et il s'inclina le visage contre terre et se prosterna.
14 “Cén dealramh atá air?” ar sé léi. “Seanfhear atá ag teacht aníos agus brat timpeall air.” Ansin bhí a fhios ag Sól gurbh é Samúéil a bhí ag teacht agus chrom sé chun na talún agus d'umhlaigh dó.
14 Y él le dijo: ¿Cuál es su forma? Y ella respondió: Un hombre anciano viene, cubierto de un manto. Saúl entonces entendió que era Samuel, y humillando el rostro á tierra, hizo gran reverencia.
14 Er sprach: Wie ist er gestaltet? Sie sprach: Es kommt ein alter Mann herauf und ist bekleidet mit einem Priesterrock. Da erkannte Saul, daß es Samuel war, und neigte sich mit seinem Antlitz zur Erde und fiel nieder.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you made me come up, troubling my rest? And Saul in answer said, I am in great danger; for the Philistines are making war on me, and God has gone away from me and will no longer give me any answer, by the prophets or by dreams: so I have sent for you to make clear to me what I am to do.
15 Samuel dit à Saül: Pourquoi m'as-tu troublé, en me faisant monter? Saül répondit: Je suis dans une grande détresse: les Philistins me font la guerre, et Dieu s'est retiré de moi; il ne m'a répondu ni par les prophètes ni par des songes. Et je t'ai appelé pour que tu me fasses connaître ce que je dois faire.
15 Ansin dúirt Samúéil le Sól: “Cad ab áil leat do mo bhuaireamh do mo tharraingt aníos?” “Tá suaitheadh mór orm,” arsa Sól, “mar tá na Filistínigh i gcogadh liom, agus thréig Dia mé, gan freagra á thabhairt aige orm ó bhéal fáithe ná le cabhair aislingí. Ghlaoigh mé ortsa dá bhrí sin chun a rá liom céard ba cheart dom a dhéanamh.”
15 Y Samuel dijo á Saúl: ¿Por qué me has inquietado haciéndome venir? Y Saúl respondió: Estoy muy congojado; pues los Filisteos pelean contra mí, y Dios se ha apartado de mí, y no me responde más, ni por mano de profetas, ni por sueños: por esto te he llamado, para que me declares qué tengo de hacer.
15 Samuel aber sprach zu Saul: Warum hast du mich unruhig gemacht, daß du mich heraufbringen läßt? Saul sprach: Ich bin sehr geängstet: die Philister streiten wider mich, und Gott ist von mir gewichen und antwortet mir nicht, weder durch Propheten noch durch Träume; darum habe ich dich lassen rufen, daß du mir weisest, was ich tun soll.
16 And Samuel said, Why do you put your questions to me, seeing that God has gone away from you and is on the side of him who is against you?
16 Samuel dit: Pourquoi donc me consultes-tu, puisque l'Éternel s'est retiré de toi et qu'il est devenu ton ennemi?
16 D'fhreagair Samúéil á rá: “Cén fáth ceist a chur ormsa nuair a thréig an Tiarna thú agus go bhfuil sé ar thaobh [do chomharsan]?
16 Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Y para qué me preguntas á mí, habiéndose apartado de ti Jehová, y es tu enemigo?
16 Samuel sprach: Was willst du mich fragen, weil der HERR von dir gewichen und dein Feind geworden ist?
17 And the Lord himself has done what I said: the Lord has taken the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbour David;
17 L'Éternel te traite comme je te l'avais annoncé de sa part; l'Éternel a déchiré la royauté d'entre tes mains, et l'a donnée à un autre, à David.
17 Tá déanta ag an Tiarna leat faoi mar gheall sé ó mo bhéalsa a dhéanfadh. Sciob sé an flaitheas as do ghlac agus thug é do do chomharsa, Dáiví,
17 Jehová pues ha hecho como habló por medio de mí; pues ha cortado Jehová el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado á tu compañero David.
17 Der HERR wird dir tun, wie er durch mich geredet hat, und wird das Reich von deiner Hand reißen und David, deinem Nächsten, geben.
18 Because you did not do what the Lord said, and did not give effect to his burning wrath against Amalek. So the Lord has done this thing to you today.
18 Tu n'as point obéi à la voix de l'Éternel, et tu n'as point fait sentir à Amalek l'ardeur de sa colère: voilà pourquoi l'Éternel te traite aujourd'hui de cette manière.
18 de bhrí nár ghéill tú do ghuth an Tiarna agus nár chuir tú fíoch a fheirge in aghaidh Amáiléic i gcrích. Uime sin a thugann an Tiarna an cor seo ort anois.
18 Como tú no obedeciste á la voz de Jehová, ni cumpliste el furor de su ira sobre Amalec, por eso Jehová te ha hecho esto hoy.
18 Darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN nicht gehorcht und den Grimm seines Zorns nicht ausgerichtet hast wider Amalek, darum hat dir der HERR solches jetzt getan.
19 And more than this, the Lord will give Israel up with you into the hands of the Philistines: and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me: and the Lord will give up the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.
19 Et même l'Éternel livrera Israël avec toi entre les mains des Philistins. Demain, toi et tes fils, vous serez avec moi, et l'Éternel livrera le camp d'Israël entre les mains des Philistins.
19 Mar bharr air sin déanfaidh an Tiarna Iosrael agus thusa féin a thabhairt i láimh na bhFilistíneach; agus amárach beidh tusa féin agus do chlann mhac in éineacht liom, sea agus slua Iosrael chomh maith, mar tabharfaidh an Tiarna i láimh na bhFilistíneach iad.”
19 Y Jehová entregará á Israel también contigo en manos de los Filisteos: y mañana seréis conmigo, tú y tus hijos: y aun el campo de Israel entregará Jehová en manos de los Filisteos.
19 Dazu wird der HERR Israel mit dir auch geben in der Philister Hände. Morgen wirst du und deine Söhne mit mir sein. Auch wird der HERR das Lager Israels in der Philister Hände geben.
20 Then Saul went down flat on the earth, and was full of fear because of Samuel's words: and there was no strength in him, for he had taken no food all that day or all that night.
20 Aussitôt Saül tomba à terre de toute sa hauteur, et les paroles de Samuel le remplirent d'effroi; de plus, il manquait de force, car il n'avait pris aucune nourriture de tout le jour et de toute la nuit.
20 Tháinig tocht ar Shól agus thit sé chun láir agus lántalún. Chuir a ndúirt Samúéil scéin air, agus bhí a neart tréigthe mar nár ith sé greim ar feadh an lae agus na hoíche sin go léir.
20 En aquel punto cayó Saúl en tierra cuan grande era, y tuvo gran temor por las palabras de Samuel; que no quedó en él esfuerzo ninguno, porque en todo aquel día y aquella noche no había comido pan.
20 Da fiel Saul zur Erde, so lang er war, und erschrak sehr vor den Worten Samuels, daß keine Kraft mehr in ihm war; denn er hatte nichts gegessen den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht.
21 And the woman came to Saul and saw that he was in great trouble, and said to him, See now, your servant has given ear to your words, and I have put my life in danger by doing what you said.
21 La femme vint auprès de Saül, et, le voyant très effrayé, elle lui dit: Voici, ta servante a écouté ta voix; j'ai exposé ma vie, en obéissant aux paroles que tu m'as dites.
21 Tháinig an bhean go Sól ansin, agus nuair a chonaic sí an scanradh a bhí air, dúirt sí: “Féach, rinne do bhanóglach rud ort; chuir mé m'anam i bhfiontar, agus chomhlíon mé gach ar ordaigh tú dom.
21 Entonces la mujer vino á Saúl, y viéndole en grande manera turbado, díjole: He aquí que tu criada ha obedecido á tu voz, y he puesto mi vida en mi mano, y he oído las palabras que tú me has dicho.
21 Und das Weib ging hinein zu Saul und sah, daß er sehr erschrocken war, und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, deine Magd hat deiner Stimme gehorcht, und ich habe meine Seele in deine Hand gesetzt, daß ich deinen Worten gehorchte, die du zu mir sagtest.
22 So now, give ear to the voice of your servant, and let me give you a little bread; and take some food to give you strength when you go on your way.
22 Écoute maintenant, toi aussi, la voix de ta servante, et laisse-moi t'offrir un morceau de pain, afin que tu manges pour avoir la force de te mettre en route.
22 Déansa, dá bhrí sin, rud ar do bhanóglach. Leagfaidh mé beagán bia romhat, agus ith é agus bíodh neart éigin ionat ag dul ar d'aistear.”
22 Ruégote pues, que tú también oigas la voz de tu sierva: pondré yo delante de ti un bocado de pan que comas, para que te corrobores, y vayas tu camino.
22 So gehorche nun auch deiner Magd Stimme. Ich will dir einen Bissen Brot vorsetzen, daß du essest, daß du zu Kräften kommest und deine Straße gehest.
23 But he would not, saying, I have no desire for food. But his servants, together with the woman, made him take food, and he gave way to them. So he got up from the earth, and took his seat on the bed.
23 Mais il refusa, et dit: Je ne mangerai point. Ses serviteurs et la femme aussi le pressèrent, et il se rendit à leurs instances. Il se leva de terre, et s'assit sur le lit.
23 Ach ní dhéanfadh; “Ní íosfaidh mé greim,” ar sé. Ach lean na giollaí orthu, agus an bhean chomh maith leo, ag tathant air, agus ghéill sé dóibh. D'éirigh sé ón talamh, agus shuigh ar an leaba.
23 Y él lo rehusó, diciendo: No comeré. Mas sus criados juntamente con la mujer le constriñeron, y él los obedeció. Levantóse pues del suelo, y sentóse sobre una cama.
23 Er aber weigerte sich und sprach: Ich will nicht essen. Da nötigten ihn seine Knechte und das Weib, daß er ihrer Stimme gehorchte. Und er stand auf von der Erde und setzte sich aufs Bett.
24 And the woman had in the house a young cow, made fat for food; and she put it to death straight away; and she took meal and got it mixed and made unleavened bread;
24 La femme avait chez elle un veau gras, qu'elle se hâta de tuer; et elle prit de la farine, la pétrit, et en cuisit des pains sans levain.
24 Bhí gamhain biata sa teach ag an mbean; mharaigh sí é ar an toirt; fuair sí plur agus d'fhuin é agus bhruith builíní slimaráin as;
24 Y aquella mujer tenía en su casa un ternero grueso, el cual mató luego; y tomó harina y amasóla, y coció de ella panes sin levadura.
24 Das Weib aber hatte daheim ein gemästetes Kalb; da eilte sie und schlachtete es und nahm Mehl und knetete es und buk's ungesäuert
25 And she put it before Saul and his servants, and they had a meal. Then they got up and went away the same night.
25 Elle les mit devant Saül et devant ses serviteurs. Et ils mangèrent. Puis, s'étant levés, ils partirent la nuit même.
