1 And David said to himself, Some day death will come to me by the hand of Saul: the only thing for me to do is to get away into the land of the Philistines; then Saul will give up hope of taking me in any part of the land of Israel: and so I may be able to get away from him.
1 David dit en lui-même: je périrai un jour par la main de Saül; il n'y a rien de mieux pour moi que de me réfugier au pays des Philistins, afin que Saül renonce à me chercher encore dans tout le territoire d'Israël; ainsi j'échapperai à sa main.
1 Rith sé le Dáiví: “Marófar mé lá breá éigin díobh seo le láimh Shóil. Ní fearr rud a dhéanfainn ná éalú liom go tír na bhFilistíneach; ansin, le barr drochmhisnigh, scoirfidh Sól den tóir orm ó cheann ceann Iosrael agus beidh mé slán uaidh.”
1 Y Dijo David en su corazón: Al fin seré muerto algún día por la mano de Saúl: nada por tanto me será mejor que fugarme á la tierra de los Filisteos, para que Saúl se deje de mí, y no me ande buscando más por todos los términos de Israel, y así me escaparé de sus manos.
1 David aber gedachte in seinem Herzen: Ich werde der Tage einen Saul in die Hände fallen; es ist mir nichts besser, denn daß ich entrinne in der Philister Land, daß Saul von mir ablasse, mich fürder zu suchen im ganzen Gebiet Israels; so werde ich seinen Händen entrinnen.
2 So David and the six hundred men who were with him went over to Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
2 Et David se leva, lui et les six cents hommes qui étaient avec lui, et ils passèrent chez Akisch, fils de Maoc, roi de Gath.
2 Bhuail Dáiví bóthar dá bhrí sin, agus d'imigh sé, é féin agus an sé chéad fear a bhí ina choimhdeacht, síos go hÁicís, mac Mháóc, rí Ghat.
2 Levantóse pues David, y con los seiscientos hombres que tenía consigo pasóse á Achîs hijo de Maoch, rey de Gath.
2 Und machte sich auf und ging hinüber samt den sechshundert Mann, die bei ihm waren, zu Achis, dem Sohn Maochs, dem König zu Gath.
3 And David and his men were living with Achish at Gath; every man had his family with him, and David had his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail of Carmel, who had been the wife of Nabal.
3 David et ses gens restèrent à Gath auprès d'Akisch; ils avaient chacun leur famille, et David avait ses deux femmes, Achinoam de Jizreel, et Abigaïl de Carmel, femme de Nabal.
3 Chuir Dáiví faoi ag Gat le hÁicís, é féin agus a chuid fear, a chlann féin le gach duine díobh, agus a bheirt bhan le Dáiví .i. Aichíonaom ó Izréil agus Aibíogáil bean Nábál ó Chairmeil.
3 Y moró David con Achîs en Gath, él y los suyos, cada uno con su familia: David con sus dos mujeres, Ahinoam Jezreelita, y Abigail, la que fué mujer de Nabal el del Carmelo.
3 Also blieb David bei Achis zu Gath mit seinen Männern, ein jeglicher mit seinem Hause, David auch mit seinen zwei Weibern Ahinoam, der Jesreelitin, und Abigail, des Nabals Weibe, der Karmeliterin.
4 And Saul, hearing that David had gone to Gath, went after him no longer.
4 Saül, informé que David s'était enfui à Gath, cessa de le chercher.
4 Nuair a fuair Sól scéala gur theith Dáiví go Gat, scoir sé den tóir air.
4 Y vino la nueva á Saúl que David se había huído á Gath, y no lo buscó más.
4 Und da Saul angesagt ward, daß David gen Gath geflohen wäre, suchte er ihn nicht mehr.
5 Then David said to Achish, If now I have grace in your eyes, let me have a place in one of the smaller towns of your land, to be my living-place; for it is not right for your servant to be living with you in the king's town.
5 David dit à Akisch: Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, qu'on me donne dans l'une des villes du pays un lieu où je puisse demeurer; car pourquoi ton serviteur habiterait-il avec toi dans la ville royale?
5 Dúirt Dáiví le hÁicís: “Má fuair mé fabhar i do láthair, tabhair áit lonnaithe dom i gceann de bhailte na tíre. Cén fáth a mairfeadh do shearbhónta sa chathair ríoga i do theannta?”
5 Y David dijo á Achîs: Si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, séame dado lugar en algunas de las ciudades de la tierra, donde habite: porque ¿ha de morar tu siervo contigo en la ciudad real?
5 Und David sprach zu Achis: Habe ich Gnade vor deinen Augen gefunden, so laß mir geben einen Raum in der Städte einer auf dem Lande, daß ich darin wohne; was soll dein Knecht in der königlichen Stadt bei dir wohnen?
6 So Achish straight away gave him Ziklag: and for that reason Ziklag has been the property of the kings of Judah to this day.
6 Et ce même jour Akisch lui donna Tsiklag. C'est pourquoi Tsiklag a appartenu aux rois de Juda jusqu'à ce jour.
6 An lá sin thug Áicís Zicleag dó agus dá bharrsan is le rí Iúdá Zicleag go dtí an lá inniu.
6 Y Achîs le dió aquel día á Siclag. De aquí fué Siclag de los reyes de Judá hasta hoy.
6 Da gab ihm Achis des Tages Ziklag. Daher gehört Ziklag zu den Königen Juda's bis auf diesen Tag.
7 And David was living in the land of the Philistines for the space of a year and four months.
7 Le temps que David demeura dans le pays des Philistins fut d'un an et quatre mois.
7 Is é an fad a d'fhan Dáiví i gcríocha na bhFilistíneach, bliain agus ceithre mhí.
7 Y fué el número de los días que David habitó en la tierra de los Filisteos, cuatro meses y algunos días.
7 Die Zeit aber, die David in der Philister Lande wohnte, ist ein Jahr und vier Monate.
8 And David and his men went up and made attacks on the Geshurites and the Girzites and the Amalekites; for these were the people who were living in the land from Telam on the way to Shur, as far as Egypt.
8 David et ses gens montaient et faisaient des incursions chez les Gueschuriens, les Guirziens et les Amalécites; car ces nations habitaient dès les temps anciens la contrée, du côté de Schur et jusqu'au pays d'Égypte.
8 Théadh Dáiví agus a chuid fear amach ag tabhairt fogha faoi na Gisiúraigh agus na Girzigh agus na hAmáiléicigh, mar sin iad na treabhchais a áitríonn an dúiche a shineann ó [Thealam] i dtreo Shiúr chomh fada leis an Éigipt.
8 Y subía David con los suyos, y hacían entradas en los Gesureos, y en los Gerzeos, y en los Amalecitas: porque estos habitaban de largo tiempo la tierra, desde como se va á Shur hasta la tierra de Egipto.
8 David aber zog hinauf samt seinen Männern und fiel ins Land der Gessuriter und Girsiter und Amalekiter; denn diese waren von alters her die Einwohner dieses Landes, wo man kommt gen Sur bis an Ägyptenland.
9 And David again and again made attacks on the land till not a man or a woman was still living; and he took away the sheep and the oxen and the asses and the camels and the clothing; and he came back to Achish.
9 David ravageait cette contrée; il ne laissait en vie ni homme ni femme, et il enlevait les brebis, les boeufs, les ânes, les chameaux, les vêtements, puis s'en retournait et allait chez Akisch.
9 Rinne Dáiví an dúiche a chreachadh agus níor fhág fear ná bean ina mbeatha, ach thug na caoirigh agus an t‑eallach, na hasail, na camaill, agus na héidí mar chreach, agus thug leis ar ais go hÁicís iad.
9 Y hería David el país, y no dejaba á vida hombre ni mujer: y llevábase las ovejas y las vacas y los asnos y los camellos y las ropas; y volvía, y veníase á Achîs.
9 Da aber David das Land schlug, ließ er weder Mann noch Weib leben und nahm Schafe, Rinder, Esel, Kamele und Kleider und kehrte wieder und kam zu Achis.
10 And every time Achish said, Where have you been fighting today? David said, Against the South of Judah and the South of the Jerahmeelites and the South of the Kenites.
10 Akisch disait: Où avez-vous fait aujourd'hui vos courses? Et David répondait: Vers le midi de Juda, vers le midi des Jerachmeélites et vers le midi des Kéniens.
10 D'fhiafraíodh Áicís: “Cia ar a ndearna tú an fhoghail inniu?” D'fhreagraíodh Dáiví: “In aghaidh Neigib na gCéineach.”
10 Y decía Achîs: ¿Dónde habéis corrido hoy? Y David decía: Al mediodía de Judá, y al mediodía de Jerameel, ó contra el mediodía de Ceni.
10 Wenn dann Achis sprach: Seid ihr heute nicht eingefallen? so sprach David: In das Mittagsland Juda's und in das Mittagsland der Jerahmeeliter und in das Mittagsland der Keniter.
11 Not one living man or woman did David ever take back with him to Gath, fearing that they might give an account of what had taken place, and say, This is what David did, and so has he been doing all the time while he has been living in the land of the Philistines.
11 David ne laissait en vie ni homme ni femme, pour les amener à Gath; car, pensait-il, ils pourraient parler contre nous et dire: Ainsi a fait David. Et ce fut là sa manière d'agir tout le temps qu'il demeura dans le pays des Philistins.
11 Níor thug Dáiví fear ná bean riamh beo ar ais leis le scéala a thabhairt go Gat, “Le heagla,” a dúirt sé leis féin, “go sceithfidís orainn á rá: ‘Rinne Dáiví a leithéid seo.’ ” Mar sin a bhí ag Dáiví i rith an ama go léir a bhí sé i ndúiche na bhFilistíneach.
11 Ni hombre ni mujer dejaba á vida David, que viniese á Gath; diciendo: Porque no den aviso de nosotros, diciendo: Esto hizo David. Y esta era su costumbre todo el tiempo que moró en tierra de los Filisteos.
11 David aber ließ weder Mann noch Weib lebendig gen Gath kommen und gedachte: Sie möchten wider uns reden und schwätzen. Also tat David, und das war seine Weise, solange er wohnte in der Philister Lande.
12 And Achish had belief in what David said, saying, He has made himself hated by all his people Israel, and so he will be my servant for ever.
12 Akisch se fiait à David, et il disait: Il se rend odieux à Israël, son peuple, et il sera mon serviteur à jamais.
