1 And death came to Samuel; and all Israel came together, weeping for him, and put his body in its resting-place in his house at Ramah. Then David went down to the waste land of Maon.
1 Samuel mourut. Tout Israël s'étant assemblé le pleura, et on l'enterra dans sa demeure à Rama. Ce fut alors que David se leva et descendit au désert de Paran.

1 Y Murio Samuel, y juntóse todo Israel, y lo lloraron, y lo sepultaron en su casa en Rama. Y levantóse David, y se fué al desierto de Parán.
1 Und Samuel starb; und das ganze Israel versammelte sich und trug Leid um ihn, und sie begruben ihn in seinem Hause zu Rama. David aber machte sich auf und zog hinab in die Wüste Pharan.
2 Now there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel; he was a great man and had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats: and he was cutting the wool of his sheep in Carmel.
2 Il y avait à Maon un homme fort riche, possédant des biens à Carmel; il avait trois mille brebis et mille chèvres, et il se trouvait à Carmel pour la tonte de ses brebis.
2 Tharla go raibh fear i Máón a raibh a ghnó i gCairmeil. Bhí sé an-saibhir; bhí trí mhíle caora aige agus míle gabhar. Bhí sé ag bearradh a chuid caorach i gCairmeil.
2 Y en Maón había un hombre que tenía su hacienda en el Carmelo, el cual era muy rico, que tenía tres mil ovejas y mil cabras. Y aconteció hallarse esquilando sus ovejas en el Carmelo.
2 Und es war ein Mann zu Maon und sein Wesen zu Karmel; und der Mann war sehr großen Vermögens und hatte dreitausend Schafe und tausend Ziegen. Und es begab sich eben, daß er seine Schafe schor zu Karmel.
3 Now this man was named Nabal, and his wife's name was Abigail: she was a woman of good sense and pleasing looks: but the man was cruel and evil in his ways; he was of the family of Caleb.
3 Le nom de cet homme était Nabal, et sa femme s'appelait Abigaïl; c'était une femme de bon sens et belle de figure, mais l'homme était dur et méchant dans ses actions. Il descendait de Caleb.
3 Nábál a ba ainm don fhear agus Aibíogáil dá bhean. Bhí an bhean éirimiúil sciamhach, ach bhí an fear tuathalach drochbhéasach. Cálaebach a ba ea é.
3 El nombre de aquel varón era Nabal, y el nombre de su mujer, Abigail. Y era aquella mujer de buen entendimiento y de buena gracia; mas el hombre era duro y de malos hechos; y era del linaje de Caleb.
3 Und er hieß Nabal; sein Weib aber hieß Abigail und war ein Weib von guter Vernunft und schön von Angesicht; der Mann aber war hart und boshaft in seinem Tun und war einer von Kaleb.
4 And David had word in the waste land that Nabal was cutting the wool of his sheep.
4 David apprit au désert que Nabal tondait ses brebis.

4 Y oyó David en el desierto que Nabal esquilaba sus ovejas.
4 Da nun David in der Wüste hörte, daß Nabal seine Schafe schor,
5 And David sent ten young men, and said to them, Go up to Carmel and go to Nabal, and say kind words to him in my name;
5 Il envoya vers lui dix jeunes gens, auxquels il dit: Montez à Carmel, et allez auprès de Nabal. Vous le saluerez en mon nom,
5 chuir sé deichniúr ógánach chuige á rá leo: “Téigí suas go Cairmeil, tugaigí cuairt ar Nábál agus beannaigí dó i m'ainm.
5 Entonces envió David diez criados, y díjoles: Subid al Carmelo, é id á Nabal, y saludadle en mi nombre.
5 sandte er aus zehn Jünglinge und sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hinauf gen Karmel; und wenn ihr zu Nabal kommt, so grüßet ihn von mir freundlich
6 And say this to my brother, May all be well for you: peace be to you and your house and all you have.
6 et vous lui parlerez ainsi: Pour la vie soit en paix, et que la paix soit avec ta maison et tout ce qui t'appartient!
6 Agus labhraigí mar leanas [le mo dheartháir]: ‘Síocháin duit agus síocháin do do theaghlach, agus síocháin do gach a mbaineann leat!
6 Y decidle así: Que vivas y sea paz á ti, y paz á tu familia, y paz á todo cuanto tienes.

7 I have had word that you have wool-cutters: now the keepers of your sheep have been with us, and we have done them no evil, and taken nothing of theirs while they were in Carmel.
7 Et maintenant, j'ai appris que tu as les tondeurs. Or tes bergers ont été avec nous; nous ne leur avons fait aucun outrage, et rien ne leur a été enlevé pendant tout le temps qu'ils ont été à Carmel.
7 Is clos dom go bhfuil an mheitheal bhearrtha agat. Bhí d'aoirí inár dteannta agus ní dhearnamar aon dochar dóibh agus níor chailleadar aon ní i rith an ama go léir a bhíodar i gCairmeil.
7 Ha poco supe que tienes esquiladores. Ahora, á los pastores tuyos que han estado con nosotros, nunca les hicimos fuerza, ni les faltó algo en todo el tiempo que han estado en el Carmelo.
7 Ich habe gehört, daß du Schafscherer hast. Nun, deine Hirten, die du hast, sind mit uns gewesen; wir haben sie nicht verhöhnt, und hat ihnen nichts gefehlt an der Zahl, solange sie zu Karmel gewesen sind
8 If your young men are questioned they will say the same thing. So now, let my young men have grace in your eyes, for we are come at a good time; please give anything you may have by you to your servants and to your son David.
8 Demande-le à tes serviteurs, et ils te le diront. Que ces jeunes gens trouvent donc grâce à tes yeux, puisque nous venons dans un jour de joie. Donne donc, je te prie, à tes serviteurs et à ton fils David ce qui se trouvera sous ta main.
8 Cuir ceist ar d'ógánaigh agus inseoidh siad sin duit. Go raibh do ghnaoi dá bhrí sin ar na hógánaigh seo, mar is ar lá féasta a thángamar. Tabhair, le do thoil, cibé ní cóir atá agat ansin do do shearbhóntaí agus do Dháiví do mhac.’ ”
8 Pregunta á tus criados, que ellos te lo dirán. Hallen por tanto estos criados gracia en tus ojos, pues que venimos en buen día: ruégote que des lo que tuvieres á mano á tus siervos, y á tu hijo David.
8 frage deine Jünglinge darum, die werden dir's sagen, und laß die Jünglinge Gnade finden vor deinen Augen; denn wir sind auf einen guten Tag gekommen. Gib deinen Knechten und deinem Sohn David, was deine Hand findet.
9 And when David's young men came, they said all this to Nabal, in David's name, and said nothing more.
9 Lorsque les gens de David furent arrivés, ils répétèrent à Nabal toutes ces paroles, au nom de David. Puis ils se turent.

9 Y como llegaron los criados de David, dijeron á Nabal todas estas palabras en nombre de David, y callaron.
9 Und da die Jünglinge Davids hinkamen und in Davids Namen alle diese Worte mit Nabal geredet hatten, hörten sie auf.
10 And Nabal gave them his answer and said, Who is David? who is the son of Jesse? there are a number of servants in these days running away from their masters.
10 Nabal répondit aux serviteurs de David: Qui est David, et qui est le fils d'Isaï? Il y a aujourd'hui beaucoup de serviteurs qui s'échappent d'auprès de leurs maîtres.
10 D'fhreagair Nábál seirbhísigh Dháiví: “Dáiví - cé he féin? Cé hé mac Ieise? Is iomaí seirbhíseach atá ag éalú óna máistirí na laethanta seo!
10 Y Nabal respondió á los criados de David, y dijo: ¿Quién es David? ¿y quién es el hijo de Isaí? Muchos siervos hay hoy que se huyen de sus señores.
10 Aber Nabal antwortete den Knechten Davids und sprach: Wer ist David? und wer ist der Sohn Isais? Es werden jetzt der Knechte viel, die sich von ihren Herren reißen.
11 Am I to take my bread and my wine and the meat I have got ready for my wool-cutters and give it to men coming from I have no idea where?
11 Et je prendrais mon pain, mon eau, et mon bétail que j'ai tué pour mes tondeurs, et je les donnerais à des gens qui sont je ne sais d'où?
11 An dtógfaidh mise m'arán agus m'fhíon agus an fheoil a mharaigh mé do mo mheitheal bhearrtha agus sin a thabhairt do dhaoine nach eol dom cad as dóibh?”
11 ¿He de tomar yo ahora mi pan, mi agua, y mi víctima que he preparado para mis esquiladores, y la daré á hombres que no sé de dónde son?
11 Sollte ich mein Brot, Wasser und Fleisch nehmen, das ich für meine Scherer geschlachtet habe, und den Leuten geben, die ich nicht kenne, wo sie her sind?
12 So David's young men, turning away, went back and gave him an account of everything he had said.
12 Les gens de David rebroussèrent chemin; ils s'en retournèrent, et redirent, à leur arrivée, toutes ces paroles à David.

12 Y tornándose los criados de David, volviéronse por su camino, y vinieron y dijeron á David todas estas palabras.
12 Da kehrten sich die Jünglinge Davids wieder auf ihren Weg; und da sie wieder zu ihm kamen, sagten sie ihm solches alles.
13 And David said to his men, Put on your swords, every one of you. And every man put on his sword; and David did the same; and about four hundred men went up with David, and two hundred kept watch over their goods.
13 Alors David dit à ses gens: Que chacun de vous ceigne son épée! Et ils ceignirent chacun leur épée. David aussi ceignit son épée, et environ quatre cents hommes montèrent à sa suite. Il en resta deux cents près des bagages.
13 Ansin dúirt Dáiví lena chuid fear: “Ceanglaíodh gach duine a chlaíomh air féin!” Agus cheangail gach duine a chlaíomh air féin; agus cheangail Dáiví a chlaíomh air féin chomh maith. Lean timpeall ceithre chéad fear Dáiví agus d'fhan dhá chéad leis an mbagáiste.
13 Entonces David dijo á sus hombres: Cíñase cada uno su espada. Y ciñóse cada uno su espada: también David ciñó su espada; y subieron tras David como cuatrocientos hombres, y dejaron doscientos con el bagaje.
13 Da sprach David zu seinen Männern: Gürte ein jeglicher sein Schwert um sich und David gürtete sein Schwert auch um sich, und zogen hinauf bei vierhundert Mann; aber zweihundert blieben bei dem Geräte.
14 But one of the young men said to Nabal's wife Abigail, David sent men from the waste land to say kind words to our master, and he gave them a rough answer.
14 Un des serviteurs de Nabal vint dire à Abigaïl, femme de Nabal: Voici, David a envoyé du désert des messagers pour saluer notre maître, qui les a rudoyés.
14 Thug duine de na seirbhísigh an scéala go hAibíogáil, bean Nábál. “Chuir Dáiví,” ar sé, “teachtairí ón bhfásach chun ceiliúradh dár máistir, ach thug sé aghaidh a chaoraíochta orthu.
14 Y uno de los criados dió aviso á Abigail mujer de Nabal, diciendo: He aquí David envió mensajeros del desierto que saludasen á nuestro amo, y él los ha zaherido.
14 Aber der Abigail, Nabals Weib, sagte an der Jünglinge einer und sprach: Siehe, David hat Boten gesandt aus der Wüste, unsern Herrn zu grüßen; er aber schnaubte sie an.
15 But these men have been very good to us; they did us no wrong and nothing of ours was touched while we were with them in the fields:
15 Et pourtant ces gens ont été très bons pour nous; ils ne nous ont fait aucun outrage, et rien ne nous a été enlevé, tout le temps que nous avons été avec eux lorsque nous étions dans les champs.
15 Anois bhí na fir seo an-mhaith dúinn; níor chuireadar isteach orainn agus níor chailleamar aon ní i rith an ama go léir a bhíomar ina gcomharsanacht.
15 Mas aquellos hombres nos han sido muy buenos, y nunca nos han hecho fuerza, ni ninguna cosa nos ha faltado en todo el tiempo que hemos conversado con ellos, mientras hemos estado en el campo.
15 Und sie sind uns doch sehr nützliche Leute gewesen und haben uns nicht verhöhnt, und hat uns nichts gefehlt an der Zahl, solange wir bei ihnen gewandelt haben, wenn wir auf dem Felde waren;
16 But day and night they were like a wall round us while we were with them, looking after the sheep.
16 Ils nous ont nuit et jour servi de muraille, tout le temps que nous avons été avec eux, faisant paître les troupeaux.

16 Hannos sido por muro de día y de noche, todos los días que hemos estado con ellos apacentando las ovejas.
16 sondern sie sind unsre Mauern gewesen Tag und Nacht, solange wir die Schafe bei ihnen gehütet haben.
17 So now, give thought to what you are going to do; for evil is in store for our master and all his house: for he is such a good-for-nothing person that it is not possible to say anything to him.
17 Sache maintenant et vois ce que tu as à faire, car la perte de notre maître et de toute sa maison est résolue, et il est si méchant qu'on ose lui parler.

17 Ahora pues, entiende y mira lo que has de hacer, porque el mal está del todo resuelto contra nuestro amo y contra toda su casa: pues él es un hombre tan malo, que no hay quien pueda hablarle.
17 So merke nun und siehe, was du tust; denn es ist gewiß ein Unglück vorhanden über unsern Herrn und über sein ganzes Haus; und er ist ein heilloser Mann, dem niemand etwas sagen darf.
18 Then Abigail quickly took two hundred cakes of bread and two skins full of wine and five sheep ready for cooking and five measures of dry grain and a hundred parcels of dry grapes and two hundred cakes of figs, and put them on asses.
18 Abigaïl prit aussitôt deux cents pains, deux outres de vin, cinq pièces de bétail apprêtées, cinq mesures de grain rôti, cent masses de raisins secs, et deux cents de figues sèches. Elle les mit sur des ânes,

18 Entonces Abigail tomó luego doscientos panes, y dos cueros de vino, y cinco ovejas guisadas, y cinco medidas de grano tostado, y cien hilos de uvas pasas, y doscientos panes de higos secos, y cargólo en asnos;
18 Da eilte Abigail und nahm zweihundert Brote und zwei Krüge Wein und fünf gekochte Schafe und fünf Scheffel Mehl und hundert Rosinenkuchen und zweihundert Feigenkuchen und lud's auf Esel
19 And she said to her young men, Go on in front of me and I will come after you. But she said nothing to her husband Nabal.
19 et elle dit à ses serviteurs: Passez devant moi, je vais vous suivre. Elle ne dit rien à Nabal, son mari.
19 Agus dúirt sí lena giollaí: “Ar aghaidh libh romham amach. Beidh mise ar bhur sála.” Ach níor inis sí aon ní dá fear, Nábál.
19 Y dijo á sus criados: Id delante de mí, que yo os seguiré luego. Y nada declaró á su marido Nabal.
19 und sprach zu ihren Jünglingen: Geht vor mir hin; siehe, ich will kommen hernach. Und sie sagte ihrem Mann Nabal nichts davon.
20 Now while she was going down under cover of the mountain on her ass, David and his men came down against her, and suddenly she came face to face with them.
20 Montée sur un âne, elle descendit la montagne par un chemin couvert; et voici, David et ses gens descendaient en face d'elle, en sorte qu'elle les rencontra.
20 Agus í ag marcaíocht ar a hasal le fána faoi speirín sléibhe, seo chuici anuas ina treo Dáiví agus a chuid fear, agus bhuail sí leo.
20 Y sentándose sobre un asno descendió por una parte secreta del monte, y he aquí David y los suyos que venían frente á ella, y ella les fué al encuentro.
20 Und als sie nun auf dem Esel ritt und hinabzog im Dunkel des Berges, siehe, da kam David und seine Männer hinab ihr entgegen, daß sie auf sie stieß.
21 Now David had said, What was the use of my taking care of this man's goods in the waste land, so that there was no loss of anything which was his? he has only given me back evil for good.
21 David avait dit: C'est bien en vain que j'ai gardé tout ce que cet homme a dans le désert, et que rien n'a été enlevé de tout ce qu'il possède; il m'a rendu le mal pour le bien.
21 Is é a bhí ráite, más ea, ag Dáiví: “Ba obair in aisce agam, go cinnte, a bheith ag cosaint mhaoin an fhir úd san fhásach! Níor cailleadh aon phioc dá raibh aige, ach féach gur olc a chúitigh sé an mhaith liom.
21 Y David había dicho: Ciertamente en vano he guardado todo lo que éste tiene en el desierto, sin que nada le haya faltado de todo cuanto es suyo; y él me ha vuelto mal por bien.
21 David aber hatte geredet: Wohlan, ich habe umsonst behütet alles, was dieser hat in der Wüste, daß nichts gefehlt hat an allem, was er hat; und er bezahlt mir Gutes mit Bösem.
22 May God's punishment be on David, if when morning comes there is so much as one male of his people still living.
22 Que Dieu traite son serviteur David dans toute sa rigueur, si je laisse subsister jusqu'à la lumière du matin qui que ce soit de tout ce qui appartient à Nabal!
22 Go ndéana Dia seo agus siúd agus a thuilleadh fós le Dáiví má fhágaim oiread agus fear dá mbaineann leis beo faoi mhaidin!”
22 Así haga Dios, y así añada á los enemigos de David, que de aquí á mañana no tengo de dejar de todo lo que fuere suyo ni aun meante á la pared.
22 Gott tue dies und noch mehr den Feinden Davids, wo ich diesem bis zum lichten Morgen übriglasse einen, der männlich ist, aus allem, was er hat.
23 And when Abigail saw David, she quickly got off her ass, falling down on her face before him.
23 Lorsque Abigaïl aperçut David, elle descendit rapidement de l'âne, tomba sur sa face en présence de David, et se prosterna contre terre.
23 A luaithe a chonaic Aibíogáil Dáiví, tháinig sí anuas dá hasal faoi dheifir, chaith í féin ar a béal os comhair Dháiví, agus chrom chun talún.
23 Y como Abigail vió á David, apeóse prestamente del asno, y postrándose delante de David sobre su rostro, inclinóse á tierra;
23 Da nun Abigail David sah, stieg sie eilend vom Esel und fiel vor David auf ihr Antlitz und beugte sich nieder zur Erde
24 And falling at his feet she said, May the wrong be on me, my lord, on me: let your servant say a word to you, and give ear to the words of your servant.
24 Puis, se jetant à ses pieds, elle dit: A moi la faute, mon seigneur! Permets à ta servante de parler à tes oreilles, et écoute les paroles de ta servante.
24 Chaith sí í féin ag a chosa agus dúirt: “Cuir an milleán seo ormsa amháin, a thiarna. Tabhair cluas do do bhanóglach, le do thoil, agus éist le focail do bhanóglaigh.
24 Y echóse á sus pies, y dijo: Señor mío, sobre mí sea el pecado; mas ruégote hable tu sierva en tus oídos, y oye las palabras de tu sierva.
24 und fiel zu seinen Füßen und sprach: Ach, mein Herr, mein sei die Missetat, und laß deine Magd reden vor deinen Ohren und höre die Worte deiner Magd!
25 Let my lord give no attention to Nabal, that good-for-nothing: for as his name is, so is he, a man without sense: but I, your servant, did not see the young men whom my lord sent.
25 Que mon seigneur ne prenne pas garde à ce méchant homme, à Nabal, car il est comme son nom; Nabal est son nom, et il y a chez lui de la folie. Et moi, ta servante, je n'ai pas vu les gens que mon seigneur a envoyés.
25 Ná bíodh aon aird agat ar Nábál an drochmhianaigh, mar is cuma a nádúr nó a ainm; tuathalachán a ainm agus is tuathalach a mheon. Ach ní fhaca mise, do bhanóglach, na saighdiúirí a chuir mo thiarna.
25 No ponga ahora mi señor su corazón á aquel hombre brusco, á Nabal; porque conforme á su nombre, así es. El se llama Nabal, y la locura está con él: mas yo tu sierva no vi los criados de mi señor, los cuales tú enviaste.
25 Mein Herr setze nicht sein Herz wider diesen Nabal, den heillosen Mann; denn er ist ein Narr, wie sein Name heißt, und Narrheit ist bei ihm. Ich aber, deine Magd, habe die Jünglinge meines Herrn nicht gesehen, die du gesandt hast.
26 So now, my lord, by the living God and by your living soul, seeing that the Lord has kept you from the crime of blood and from taking into your hands the punishment for your wrongs, may all your haters, and those who would do evil to my lord, be like Nabal.
26 Maintenant, mon seigneur, aussi vrai que l'Éternel est vivant et que ton âme est vivante, c'est l'Éternel qui t'a empêché de répandre le sang et qui a retenu ta main. Que tes ennemis, que ceux qui veulent du mal à mon seigneur soient comme Nabal!
26 Anois, a uasail, dar an Tiarna beo, agus dar d'anam beo, agus dar an Tiarna a choinnigh thú ó choir na fola, agus ó dhíoltas a imirt le do láimh féin, go n‑imí an íde chéanna le Nábál ar do naimhde agus ar gach duine a bheartaíonn an t‑olc in aghaidh mo thiarna.
26 Ahora pues, señor mío, vive Jehová y vive tu alma, que Jehová te ha estorbado que vinieses á derramar sangre, y vengarte por tu propia mano. Sean pues como Nabal tus enemigos, y todos los que procuran mal contra mi señor.
26 Nun aber, mein Herr, so wahr der HERR lebt und so wahr deine Seele lebt, der HERR hat dich verhindert, daß du nicht kämst in Blutschuld und dir mit eigener Hand hilfst. So müssen nun werden wie Nabal deine Feinde und die meinem Herrn übelwollen.
27 And let this offering, which your servant gives to my lord, be given to the young men who are with my lord.
27 Accepte ce présent que ta servante apporte à mon seigneur, et qu'il soit distribué aux gens qui marchent à la suite de mon seigneur.
27 Maidir leis an mbronntanas atá á thabhairt ag do bhanóglach go dtí mo thiarna, tugtar é do na hógánaigh, lucht leanúna mo thiarna féin.
27 Y ahora esta bendición que tu sierva ha traído á mi señor, dése á los criados que siguen á mi señor.
27 Hier ist der Segen, den deine Magd meinem Herrn hergebracht hat; den gib den Jünglingen, die unter meinem Herrn wandeln.
28 And may the sin of your servant have forgiveness: for the Lord will certainly make your family strong, because my lord is fighting in the Lord's war; and no evil will be seen in you all your days.
28 Pardonne, je te prie, la faute de ta servante, car l'Éternel fera à mon seigneur une maison stable; pardonne, car mon seigneur soutient les guerres de l'Éternel, et la méchanceté ne se trouvera jamais en toi.
28 Maith a cionta do do bhanóglach agus déanfaidh an Tiarna ríshliocht daingean a dheonú do mo thiarna, mar tá mo thiarna ag troid cathanna an Tiarna, agus ní bheidh urchóid le fáil ort i gcaitheamh do shaoil go léir.
28 Y yo te ruego que perdones á tu sierva esta ofensa; pues Jehová de cierto hará casa firme á mi señor, por cuanto mi señor hace las guerras de Jehová, y mal no se ha hallado en ti en tus días.
28 Vergib deiner Magd die Übertretung. Denn der HERR wird meinem Herrn ein beständiges Haus machen; denn du führst des HERRN Kriege; und laß kein Böses an dir gefunden werden dein Leben lang.
29 And though a man has taken up arms against you, putting your life in danger, still the soul of my lord will be kept safe among the band of the living with the Lord your God; and the souls of those who are against you he will send violently away from him, like stones from a bag.
29 S'il s'élève quelqu'un qui te poursuive et qui en veuille à ta vie, l'âme de mon seigneur sera liée dans le faisceau des vivants auprès de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et il lancera du creux de la fronde l'âme de tes ennemis.
29 Má théann daoine sa tóir ort agus iarracht a dhéanamh ar thú a mharú, beidh anam mo thiarna slán i dtiach na beatha ag an Tiarna, do Dhia; maidir le hanam do naimhde, caithfidh sé uaidh iad, mar a dhéanfadh clocha as crann tabhaill.
29 Bien que alguien se haya levantado á perseguirte y atentar á tu vida, con todo, el alma de mi señor será ligada en el haz de los que viven con Jehová Dios tuyo, y él arrojará el alma de tus enemigos como de en medio de la palma de una honda.
29 Und wenn sich ein Mensch erheben wird, dich zu verfolgen, und nach deiner Seele steht, so wird die Seele meines Herrn eingebunden sein im Bündlein der Lebendigen bei dem HERRN, deinem Gott; aber die Seele deiner Feinde wird geschleudert werden mit der Schleuder.
30 And when the Lord has done for my lord all those good things which he has said he will do for you, and has made you a ruler over Israel;
30 Lorsque l'Éternel aura fait à mon seigneur tout le bien qu'il t'a annoncé, et qu'il t'aura établi chef sur Israël,
30 Nuair a bheidh gach ní cóir atá geallta aige fút déanta ag an Tiarna do mo thiarna, nuair a bheidh tú ceaptha i do thaoiseach ar Iosrael aige,
30 Y acontecerá que cuando Jehová hiciere con mi señor conforme á todo el bien que ha hablado de ti, y te mandare que seas caudillo sobre Israel,
30 Wenn denn der HERR all das Gute meinem Herrn tun wird, was er dir geredet hat, und gebieten, daß du ein Herzog seist über Israel,
31 Then you will have no cause for grief, and my lord's heart will not be troubled because you have taken life without cause and have yourself given punishment for your wrongs: and when the Lord has been good to you, then give a thought to your servant.
31 mon seigneur n'aura ni remords ni souffrance de coeur pour avoir répandu le sang inutilement et pour s'être vengé lui-même. Et lorsque l'Éternel aura fait du bien à mon seigneur, souviens-toi de ta servante.
31 ná bíodh aon chúis cháisimh ná aifeála ar mo thiarna de bharr fuil a dhoirteadh gan ghá, ná éiric a bhaint amach le do láimh féin. Nuair a thaispeánfaidh an Tiarna a fhéile do mo thiarna, ansin cuimhnigh ar do bhanóglach.”
31 Entonces, señor mío, no te será esto en tropiezo y turbación de corazón, el que hayas derramado sangre sin causa, ó que mi señor se haya vengado por sí mismo. Guárdese pues mi señor, y cuando Jehová hiciere bien á mi señor, acuérdate de tu sierva.
31 so wird's dem Herzen meines Herrn nicht ein Anstoß noch Ärgernis sein, daß du Blut vergossen ohne Ursache und dir selber geholfen; so wird der HERR meinem Herrn wohltun und wirst an deine Magd gedenken.
32 And David said to Abigail, May the Lord, the God of Israel, be praised, who sent you to me today:
32 David dit à Abigaïl: Béni soit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, qui t'a envoyée aujourd'hui à ma rencontre!
32 Dúirt Dáiví le hAibíogáil: “Is beannaithe an Tiarna Dia Iosrael a chuir thú i mo threo inniu!
32 Y dijo David á Abigail: Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, que te envió para que hoy me encontrases;
32 Da sprach David zu Abigail: Gelobt sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, der dich heutigestages hat mir entgegengesandt;
33 A blessing on your good sense and on you, who have kept me today from the crime of blood and from taking into my hands the punishment for my wrongs.
33 Béni soit ton bon sens, et bénie sois-tu, toi qui m'as empêché en ce jour de répandre le sang, et qui as retenu ma main!
33 Gura beannaithe d'eagna, agus gura beannaithe thú féin, de bharr mé a chosc inniu ó choir na fola, agus ó éiric a bhaint amach le mo láimh féin!
33 Y bendito sea tu razonamiento, y bendita tú, que me has estorbado hoy el ir á derramar sangre, y á vengarme por mi propia mano:
33 und gesegnet sei deine Rede, und gesegnet seist du, daß du mir heute gewehrt hast, daß ich nicht in Blutschuld gekommen bin und mir mit eigener Hand geholfen habe.
34 For truly, by the living Lord, the God of Israel, who has kept me from doing you evil, if you had not been so quick in coming to me and meeting me, by dawn there would not have been in Nabal's house so much as one male living.
34 Mais l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, qui m'a empêché de te faire du mal, est vivant! si tu ne t'étais hâtée de venir au-devant de moi, il ne serait resté qui que ce soit à Nabal, d'ici à la lumière du matin.
34 Ach dar an Tiarna Dia Iosrael a mhaireann beo, agus a choisc mé ó dhíobháil a dhéanamh duit, mura mbeadh tú a bhrostú amach i mo choinne, dar m'fhocal, ní bheadh oiread agus fear fágtha beo ag Nábál faoi mhaidin.”
34 Porque, vive Jehová Dios de Israel que me ha defendido de hacerte mal, que si no te hubieras dado priesa en venirme al encuentro, de aquí á mañana no le quedara á Nabal meante á la pared.
34 Wahrlich, so wahr der HERR, der Gott Israels, lebt, der mich verhindert hat, daß ich nicht übel an dir täte: wärst du nicht eilend mir begegnet, so wäre dem Nabal nicht übriggeblieben bis auf diesen lichten Morgen einer, der männlich ist.
35 Then David took from her hands her offering: and he said to her, Go back to your house in peace; see, I have given ear to your voice, and taken your offering with respect.
35 Et David prit de la main d'Abigaïl ce qu'elle lui avait apporté, et lui dit: Monte en paix dans ta maison; vois, j'ai écouté ta voix, et je t'ai favorablement accueillie.
35 Ansin ghlac Dáiví óna láimh a raibh tugtha aici chuige agus dúirt sé léi: “Imigh leat abhaile faoi shíocháin; féach, thug mé cluas duit, agus rinne mé mar a d'iarr tú.”
35 Y recibió David de su mano lo que le había traído, y díjole: Sube en paz á tu casa, y mira que he oído tu voz, y tenídote respeto.
35 Also nahm David von ihrer Hand, was sie gebracht hatte und sprach zu ihr: Zieh mit Frieden hinauf in dein Haus; siehe, ich habe deiner Stimme gehorcht und deine Person angesehen.
36 And Abigail went back to Nabal; and he was feasting in his house like a king; and Nabal's heart was full of joy, for he had taken much wine; so she said nothing to him till dawn came.
36 Abigaïl arriva auprès de Nabal. Et voici, il faisait dans sa maison un festin comme un festin de roi; il avait le coeur joyeux, et il était complètement dans l'ivresse. Elle ne lui dit aucune chose, petite ou grande, jusqu'à la lumière du matin.

36 Y Abigail se vino á Nabal, y he aquí que él tenía banquete en su casa como banquete de rey: y el corazón de Nabal estaba alegre en él, y estaba muy borracho; por lo que ella no le declaró poco ni mucho, hasta que vino el día siguiente.
36 Da aber Abigail zu Nabal kam, siehe, da hatte er ein Mahl zugerichtet in seinem Hause wie eines Königs Mahl, und sein Herz war guter Dinge bei ihm selbst, und er war sehr trunken. Sie aber sagte ihm nichts, weder klein noch groß bis an den lichten Morgen.
37 And in the morning, when the effect of the wine was gone, Nabal's wife gave him an account of all these things, and all the heart went out of him, and he became like stone.
37 Mais le matin, l'ivresse de Nabal s'étant dissipée, sa femme lui raconta ce qui s'était passé. Le coeur de Nabal reçut un coup mortel, et devint comme une pierre.
37 Ar maidin lá arna mhárach nuair a bhí an deoch curtha de ag Nábál, d'inis a bhean an scéal go léir dó. Thit an lug ar an lag ag Nábál, rinneadh staic de mar chloch.
37 Pero á la mañana, cuando el vino había salido de Nabal, refirióle su mujer aquestas cosas; y se le amorteció el corazón, y quedóse como piedra.
37 Da es aber Morgen ward und der Wein von Nabal gekommen war, sagte ihm sein Weib solches. Da erstarb sein Herz in seinem Leibe, daß er ward wie ein Stein.
38 And about ten days after, the Lord sent disease on Nabal and death came to him.
38 Environ dix jours après, l'Éternel frappa Nabal, et il mourut.
38 Timpeall deich lá ina dhiaidh sin bhuail an Tiarna Nábál, agus cailleadh é.
38 Y pasados diez días Jehová hirió á Nabal, y murió.
38 Und über zehn Tage schlug ihn der HERR, daß er starb.
39 And David, hearing that Nabal was dead, said, May the Lord be praised, who has taken up my cause against Nabal for the shame which he put on me, and has kept back his servant from evil, and has sent on Nabal's head the reward of his evil-doing. And David sent word to Abigail, desiring to take her as his wife.
39 David apprit que Nabal était mort, et il dit: Béni soit l'Éternel, qui a défendu ma cause dans l'outrage que m'a fait Nabal, et qui a empêché son serviteur de faire le mal! L'Éternel a fait retomber la méchanceté de Nabal sur sa tête. David envoya proposer à Abigaïl de devenir sa femme.
39 Nuair a fuair Dáiví scéala báis Nábál, dúirt sé: “Moladh leis an Tiarna a rinne an aithis a fuair mé ó láimh Nábál a agairt, agus a choisc a shearbhónta ón olc; tá drochbhearta Nábál tugtha sa mhullach air féin ag an Tiarna.” Ansin chuir Dáiví scéala cleamhnais go hAibíogáil.
39 Y luego que David oyó que Nabal era muerto, dijo: Bendito sea Jehová que juzgó la causa de mi afrenta recibida de la mano de Nabal, y ha preservado del mal á su siervo; y Jehová ha tornado la malicia de Nabal sobre su propia cabeza. Después envió David á hablar á Abigail, para tomarla por su mujer.
39 Da das David hörte, daß Nabal tot war, sprach er: Gelobt sei der HERR, der meine Schmach gerächt hat an Nabal und seinen Knecht abgehalten hat von dem Übel; und der HERR hat dem Nabal das Übel auf seinen Kopf vergolten. Und David sandte hin und ließ mit Abigail reden, daß er sie zum Weibe nähme.
40 And when David's servants came to Carmel, to Abigail, they said to her, David has sent us to you to take you to him as his wife.
40 Les serviteurs de David arrivèrent chez Abigaïl à Carmel, et lui parlèrent ainsi: David nous a envoyés vers toi, afin de te prendre pour sa femme.
40 Nuair a tháinig searbhóntaí Dháiví go hAibíogáil i gCairmeil, dúradar: “Chuir Dáiví sinne chugat chun tú a fháil mar bhean dó féin.”
40 Y los criados de David vinieron á Abigail en el Carmelo, y hablaron con ella, diciendo: David nos ha enviado á ti, para tomarte por su mujer.
40 Und da die Knechte Davids zu Abigail kamen gen Karmel, redeten sie mit ihr und sprachen: David hat uns zu dir gesandt, daß er dich zum Weibe nehme.
41 And she got up, and going down on her face to the earth, said, See, I am ready to be a servant-girl, washing the feet of the servants of my lord.
41 Elle se leva, se prosterna le visage contre terre, et dit: Voici, ta servante sera une esclave pour laver les pieds des serviteurs de mon seigneur.
41 D'éirigh sise agus chrom go humhal chun talún: “Seo bhur mbanóglach agaibh,” ar sí, “mar dhaoirseach le cosa searbhóntaí mo thiarna a ní.”
41 Y ella se levantó, é inclinó su rostro á tierra, diciendo: He aquí tu sierva, para que sea sierva que lave los pies de los siervos de mi señor.
41 Sie stand auf und fiel nieder auf ihr Angesicht zur Erde und sprach: Siehe, hier ist deine Magd, daß sie diene den Knechten meines Herrn und ihre Füße wasche.
42 Then Abigail got up quickly and went on her ass, with five of her young women, after the men whom David had sent; and she became David's wife.
42 Et aussitôt Abigaïl partit, montée sur un âne, et accompagnée de cinq jeunes filles; elle suivit les messagers de David, et elle devint sa femme.

42 Y levantándose luego Abigail con cinco mozas que la seguían, montóse en un asno, y siguió los mensajeros de David, y fué su mujer.
42 Und Abigail eilte und machte sich auf und ritt auf einem Esel, und fünf Dirnen, die unter ihr waren, und zog den Boten Davids nach und ward sein Weib.
43 And David had taken Ahinoam of Jezreel, to be his wife; these two were his wives.
43 David avait aussi pris Achinoam de Jizreel, et toutes les deux furent ses femmes.

43 También tomó David á Ahinoam de Jezreel, y ambas á dos fueron sus mujeres.
43 Auch hatte David Ahinoam von Jesreel genommen; und waren beide seine Weiber.
44 Now Saul had given his daughter Michal, David's wife, to Palti the son of Laish of Gallim.
44 Et Saül avait donné sa fille Mical, femme de David, à Palthi de Gallim, fils de Laïsch.
