1 Now when Saul came back from fighting the Philistines, news was given him that David was in the waste land of En-gedi.
1 (24:2) Lorsque Saül fut revenu de la poursuite des Philistins, on vint lui dire: Voici, David est dans le désert d'En Guédi.
1 Nuair a d'fhill Sól ó thóir na bhFilistíneach, dúradh leis: “Tá Dáiví anois i bhfásach Éan Geidí.”
1 Y como Saúl volvió de los Filisteos, diéronle aviso diciendo: He aquí que David está en el desierto de Engaddi.
1 Da nun Saul wiederkam von den Philistern, ward ihm gesagt: Siehe, David ist in der Wüste Engedi.
2 Then Saul took three thousand of the best men out of all Israel, and went in search of David and his men on the rocks of the mountain goats.
2 (24:3) Saül prit trois mille hommes d'élite sur tout Israël, et il alla chercher David et ses gens jusque sur les rochers des boucs sauvages.
2 Ansin roghnaigh Sól trí mhíle fear tofa as Iosrael go léir, agus thug sé leis iad chun Dáiví agus a lucht leanúna a lorg taobh thoir de Charraigeacha na nGabhar Fiáin.
2 Y tomando Saúl tres mil hombres escogidos de todo Israel, fué en busca de David y de los suyos, por las cumbres de los peñascos de las cabras monteses.
2 Und Saul nahm dreitausend junger Mannschaft aus ganz Israel und zog hin, David samt seinen Männern zu suchen auf den Felsen der Gemsen.
3 And on the way he came to a place where sheep were kept, where there was a hollow in the rock; and Saul went in for a private purpose. Now David and his men were in the deepest part of the hollow.
3 (24:4) Il arriva à des parcs de brebis, qui étaient près du chemin; et là se trouvait une caverne, où il entra pour se couvrir les pieds. David et ses gens étaient au fond de la caverne.
3 Agus tháinig sé fad leis na cróite caorach a bhí cois na slí, áit a raibh pluais. Chuaigh Sól isteach sa phluais chun a ghnó a dhéanamh. Bhí Dáiví agus a lucht leanúna ina suí i bhfad siar istigh sa phluais.
3 Y como llegó á una majada de ovejas en el camino, donde había una cueva, entró Saúl en ella á cubrir sus pies: y David y los suyos estaban á los lados de la cueva.
3 Und da er kam zu den Schafhürden am Wege, war daselbst eine Höhle, und Saul ging hinein seine Füße zu decken. David aber und seine Männer saßen hinten in der Höhle.
4 And David's men said to him, Now is the time when the Lord says to you, I will give up your hater into your hands to do with him whatever seems good to you. Then David, getting up, took the skirt of Saul's robe in his hand, cutting off the end of it without his knowledge.
4 (24:5) Les gens de David lui dirent: Voici le jour où l'Éternel te dit: Je livre ton ennemi entre tes mains; traite-le comme bon te semblera. David se leva, et coupa doucement le pan du manteau de Saül.
4 Agus dúirt a lucht leanúna le Dáiví: “Is é seo an lá a ndúirt an Tiarna leat ina thaobh: ‘Féach, tabharfaidh mé do namhaid isteach i do láimh duit, chun go mbeidh tú in ann do rogha rud a dhéanamh leis.’ ” D'éirigh Dáiví ina sheasamh agus ghearr sé an t‑íochtar anuas de chlóca Shóil gan fhios dó.
4 Entonces los de David le dijeron: He aquí el día que te ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que entregó tu enemigo en tus manos, y harás con él como te pareciere. Y levantóse David, y calladamente cortó la orilla del manto de Saúl.
4 Da sprachen die Männer Davids zu ihm: Siehe, das ist der Tag, davon der HERR dir gesagt hat: "Siehe, ich will deinen Feind in deine Hände geben, daß du mit ihm tust, was dir gefällt." Und David stand auf und schnitt leise einen Zipfel vom Rock Sauls.
5 And later, David was full of regret for cutting off Saul's skirt.
5 (24:6) Après cela le coeur lui battit, parce qu'il avait coupé le pan du manteau de Saül.
5 Ina dhiaidh sin tháinig aiféala ar Dháiví mar gur bhain sé an t‑íochtar anuas de chlóca Shóil
5 Después de lo cual el corazón de David le golpeaba, porque había cortado la orilla del manto de Saúl.
5 Aber darnach schlug ihm sein Herz, daß er den Zipfel Sauls hatte abgeschnitten,
6 And David said to his men, Before the Lord, never let it be said that my hand was lifted up against my lord, the man of the Lord's selection, for the Lord's holy oil has been put on him.
6 (24:7) Et il dit à ses gens: Que l'Éternel me garde de commettre contre mon seigneur, l'oint de l'Éternel, une action telle que de porter ma main sur lui! car il est l'oint de l'Éternel.
6 agus dúirt sé lena lucht leanúna: “Nár lige an Tiarna go ndéanfainn an rud seo le mo thiarna, ná go sínfinn mo lámh amach ina aghaidh, ós é fear ungtha an Tiarna é.”
6 Y dijo á los suyos: Jehová me guarde de hacer tal cosa contra mi señor, el ungido de Jehová, que yo extienda mi mano contra él; porque es el ungido de Jehová.
6 und er sprach zu seinen Männern: Das lasse der HERR ferne von mir sein, daß ich das tun sollte und meine Hand legen an meinen Herrn, den Gesalbten des HERRN; denn er ist der Gesalbte des HERRN.
7 So with these words David kept his servants back, and did not let them make an attack on Saul. And Saul got up and went on his way.
7 (24:8) Par ces paroles David arrêta ses gens, et les empêcha de se jeter sur Saül. Puis Saül se leva pour sortir de la caverne, et continua son chemin.
7 Agus leis na briathra sin thug Dáiví ar a lucht leanúna gan Sól a ionsaí. D'éirigh Sól ansin agus amach leis as an bpluais agus d'imigh sé leis.
7 Así quebrantó David á los suyos con palabras, y no les permitió que se levantasen contra Saúl. Y Saúl, saliendo de la cueva, fuése su camino.
7 Und David wies seine Männer von sich mit den Worten und ließ sie nicht sich wider Saul auflehnen. Da aber Saul sich aufmachte aus der Höhle und ging des Weges,
8 And after that David came out of the hollow rock, and crying after Saul said, My lord the king. And when Saul gave a look back, David went down on his face and gave him honour.
8 (24:9) Après cela, David se leva et sortit de la caverne. Il se mit alors à crier après Saül: O roi, mon seigneur! Saül regarda derrière lui, et David s'inclina le visage contre terre et se prosterna.
8 Ina dhiaidh sin tháinig Dáiví amach as an bpluais freisin agus scairt sé ar Shól á rá: “A Thiarna, a rí!” Nuair a bhreathnaigh Sól ina dhiaidh, chrom Dáiví síos go talamh agus d'umhlaigh dó.
8 También David se levantó después, y saliendo de la cueva dió voces á las espaldas de Saúl, diciendo: ¡Mi señor el rey! Y como Saúl miró atrás, David inclinó su rotro á tierra, é hizo reverencia.
8 machte sich darnach David auch auf und ging aus der Höhle und rief Saul hintennach und sprach: Mein Herr König! Saul sah hinter sich. Und David neigte sein Antlitz zur Erde und fiel nieder
9 And David said to Saul, Why do you give any attention to those who say that it is my desire to do you wrong?
9 (24:10) David dit à Saül: Pourquoi écoutes-tu les propos des gens qui disent: Voici, David cherche ton malheur?
9 Dúirt Dáiví le Sól ansin: “Cén fáth a dtugann tú aird ar dhaoine a deir: ‘Tá sé ar aigne ag Dáiví dochar a dhéanamh duit’?
9 Y dijo David á Saúl: ¿Por qué oyes las palabras de los que dicen: Mira que David procura tu mal?
9 und sprach zu Saul: Warum gehorchst du der Menschen Wort, die da sagen: David sucht dein Unglück?
10 Look! you have seen today how the Lord gave you up into my hands even now in the hollow of the rocks: and some would have had me put you to death, but I had pity on you: for I said, Never will my hand be lifted up against my lord, who has been marked with the holy oil.
10 (24:11) Tu vois maintenant de tes propres yeux que l'Éternel t'avait livré aujourd'hui entre mes mains dans la caverne. On m'excitait à te tuer; mais je t'ai épargné, et j'ai dit: Je ne porterai pas la main sur mon seigneur, car il est l'oint de l'Éternel.
10 Féach, chonaic tú le do shúile cinn inniu gur thug an Tiarna isteach i mo láimh thú sa phluais. Agus bhí siad ann a dúirt liom thú a mharú. Ach lig mé do bheo leat. Dúirt mé: ‘Ní shínfidh mé mo lámh amach in aghaidh mo thiarna, ós é fear ungtha an Tiarna é.’
10 He aquí han visto hoy tus ojos como Jehová te ha puesto hoy en mis manos en la cueva: y dijeron que te matase, mas te perdoné, porque dije: No extenderé mi mano contra mi señor, porque ungido es de Jehová.
10 Siehe, heutigestages sehen deine Augen, daß dich der HERR heute hat in meine Hände gegeben in der Höhle, und es ward gesagt, daß ich dich sollte erwürgen. Aber es ward dein verschont; denn ich sprach: Ich will meine Hand nicht an meinen Herrn legen; denn er ist der Gesalbte des HERRN.
11 And see, my father, see the skirt of your robe in my hand: for the fact that I took off the skirt of your robe and did not put you to death is witness that I have no evil purpose, and I have done you no wrong, though you are waiting for my life to take it.
11 (24:12) Vois, mon père, vois donc le pan de ton manteau dans ma main. Puisque j'ai coupé le pan de ton manteau et que je ne t'ai pas tué, sache et reconnais qu'il n'y a dans ma conduite ni méchanceté ni révolte, et que je n'ai point péché contre toi. Et toi, tu me dresses des embûches, pour m'ôter la vie!
11 Féach, a athair, go bhfuil íochtar do chlóca i mo láimh agam. Ghearr mé an t‑íochtar anuas de do chlóca, ach níor mharaigh mé thú. Caithfidh tú a thuiscint agus a fheiceáil, dá réir sin, nach bhfuil urchóid ná tréas ar aigne agam. Níor chiontaigh mé i d'aghaidh, bíodh go bhfuil tú sa tóir orm chun mé a mharú.
11 Y mira, padre mío, mira aún la orilla de tu manto en mi mano: porque yo corté la orilla de tu manto, y no te maté. Conoce pues y ve que no hay mal ni traición en mi mano, ni he pecado contra ti; con todo, tú andas á caza de mi vida para quitármela.
11 Mein Vater, siehe doch den Zipfel von deinem Rock in meiner Hand, daß ich dich nicht erwürgen wollte, da ich den Zipfel von deinem Rock schnitt. Erkenne und sieh, daß nichts Böses in meiner Hand ist noch keine Übertretung. Ich habe auch an dir nicht gesündigt, und du jagst meine Seele, daß du sie wegnehmest.
12 May the Lord be judge between me and you, and may the Lord give me my rights against you, but my hand will never be lifted up against you.
12 (24:13) L'Éternel sera juge entre moi et toi, et l'Éternel me vengera de toi; mais je ne porterai point la main sur toi.
12 Go dtuga an Tiarna breithiúnas idir mé agus thú; go mbaine an Tiarna éiric díot ar mo shon; ach ní leagfaidh mise lámh ort.
12 Juzgue Jehová entre mí y ti, y véngueme de ti Jehová: empero mi mano no será contra ti.
12 Der HERR wird Richter sein zwischen mir und dir und mich an dir rächen; aber meine Hand soll nicht über dir sein.
13 There is an old saying, From the evil-doer comes evil: but my hand will never be lifted up against you.
13 (24:14) Des méchants vient la méchanceté, dit l'ancien proverbe. Aussi je ne porterai point la main sur toi.
13 [Seanfhocal le sinsireacht é: ‘Tagann an urchóid ón duine urchóideach,’ ach ní leagfaidh mise lámh ort.]
13 Como dice el proverbio de los antiguos: De los impíos saldrá la impiedad: así que mi mano no será contra ti.
13 Wie man sagt nach dem alten Sprichwort: "Von Gottlosen kommt Untugend." Aber meine Hand soll nicht über dir sein.
14 After whom has the king of Israel come out? for whom are you searching? for a dead dog, an insect.
14 (24:15) Contre qui le roi d'Israël s'est-il mis en marche? Qui poursuis-tu? Un chien mort, une puce!
14 Cé ina dhiaidh ar tháinig rí Iosrael amach? Cé air a bhfuil tú sa tóir? Ar mhadra marbh? Ar dhreancaid?
14 ¿Tras quién ha salido el rey de Israel? ¿á quién persigues? ¿á un perro muerto? ¿á una pulga?
14 Wem ziehst du nach, König von Israel? Wem jagst du nach? Einem toten Hund, einem einzigen Floh.
15 So let the Lord be judge, and give a decision between me and you, and see and give support to my cause, and keep me from falling into your hands.
15 (24:16) L'Éternel jugera et prononcera entre moi et toi; il regardera, il défendra ma cause, il me rendra justice en me délivrant de ta main.
15 Go raibh an Tiarna ina bhreitheamh mar sin agus go dtuga sé breithiúnas idir mé is tú; go bhféacha sé chuige agus breithiúnas a thabhairt ar mo shon agus mé a shaoradh ó do láimh.”
15 Jehová pues será juez, y él juzgará entre mí y ti. El vea, y sustente mi causa, y me defienda de tu mano.
15 Der HERR sei Richter und richte zwischen mir und dir und sehe darein und führe meine Sache aus und rette mich von deiner Hand.
16 Now when David had said these words to Saul, Saul said, Is this your voice, David, my son? And Saul was overcome with weeping.
16 (24:17) Lorsque David eut fini d'adresser à Saül ces paroles, Saül dit: Est-ce bien ta voix, mon fils David? Et Saül éleva la voix et pleura.
16 Nuair a bhí deireadh ráite ag Dáiví le Sól, dúirt Sól: “An é sin do ghuthsa, a Dháiví, a mhic?” Agus ghoil Sól os ard.
16 Y aconteció que, como David acabó de decir estas palabras á Saúl, Saúl dijo: ¿No es esta la voz tuya, hijo mío David? Y alzando Saúl su voz lloró.
16 Als nun David solche Worte zu Saul hatte ausgeredet, sprach Saul: Ist das nicht deine Stimme, mein Sohn David? Und Saul hob auf seine Stimme und weinte
17 And he said to David, You are right and I am wrong: for you have given me back good, but I have given you evil.
17 (24:18) Et il dit à David: Tu es plus juste que moi; car tu m'as fait du bien, et moi je t'ai fait du mal.
17 “Is ionraice thusa ná mise,” ar sé le Dáiví, “óir chúitigh tusa mise leis an maith, ach chúitigh mise thusa leis an olc.
17 Y dijo á David: Más justo eres tú que yo, que me has pagado con bien, habiéndote yo pagado con mal.
17 und sprach zu David: Du bist gerechter denn ich: du hast mir Gutes bewiesen; ich aber habe dir Böses bewiesen;
18 And you have made clear to me how good you have been to me today: because, when the Lord gave me up into your hands, you did not put me to death.
18 (24:19) Tu manifestes aujourd'hui la bonté avec laquelle tu agis envers moi, puisque l'Éternel m'avait livré entre tes mains et que tu ne m'as pas tué.
18 Agus thaispeáin tú inniu a fheabhas a roinn tú liom sa mhéid nár mharaigh tú mé nuair a thug an Tiarna isteach i do láimh mé.
18 Tú has mostrado hoy que has hecho conmigo bien; pues no me has muerto, habiéndome Jehová puesto en tus manos.
18 und du hast mir heute angezeigt, wie du Gutes an mir getan hast, daß mich der HERR hatte in deine Hände beschlossen und du mich doch nicht erwürgt hast.
19 If a man comes across his hater, will he let him get away safe? so may you be rewarded by the Lord for what you have done for me today.
19 (24:20) Si quelqu'un rencontre son ennemi, le laisse-t-il poursuivre tranquillement son chemin? Que l'Éternel te récompense pour ce que tu m'as fait en ce jour!
19 Óir má bheireann duine ar a namhaid, an ligfidh sé slán uaidh é? Go gcúití an Tiarna go maith leat a ndearna tú dom inniu.
19 Porque ¿quién hallará á su enemigo, y lo dejará ir sano y salvo? Jehová te pague con bien por lo que en este día has hecho conmigo.
19 Wie sollte jemand seinen Feind finden und ihn lassen einen guten Weg gehen? Der HERR vergelte dir Gutes für diesen Tag, wie du an mir getan hast.
20 And now I am certain that you will be king, and that the kingdom of Israel will be made strong under your authority.
20 (24:21) Maintenant voici, je sais que tu régneras, et que la royauté d'Israël restera entre tes mains.
20 Agus anois, féach, tá a fhios agam go mbeidh tú cinnte i do rí, agus go mbeidh ríocht Iosrael go daingean i do lámha.
20 Y ahora, como yo entiendo que tú has de reinar, y que el reino de Israel ha de ser en tu mano firme y estable,
20 Nun siehe, ich weiß, daß du König werden wirst, und das Königreich Israel wird in deiner Hand bestehen:
21 So give me your oath by the Lord, that you will not put an end to my seed after me or let my name be cut off from my father's family.
21 (24:22) Jure-moi donc par l'Éternel que tu ne détruiras pas ma postérité après moi, et que tu ne retrancheras pas mon nom de la maison de mon père.
21 “Mionnaigh dom anois dar an Tiarna nach ndéanfaidh tú mo shliocht i mo dhiaidh a dhíothú agus nach scriosfaidh tú m'ainm as teaghlach m'athar.”
21 Júrame pues ahora por Jehová, que no cortarás mi simiente después de mí, ni raerás mi nombre de la casa de mi padre.
21 so schwöre mir nun bei dem HERRN, daß du nicht ausrottest meinen Samen nach mir und meinen Namen nicht austilgest von meines Vaters Hause.
22 And David gave Saul his oath. And Saul went back to his house; but David and his men went up to their safe place.
22 (24:23) David le jura à Saül. Puis Saül s'en alla dans sa maison, et David et ses gens montèrent au lieu fort.
