1 And Saul gave orders to his son Jonathan and to all his servants to put David to death. But Saul's son Jonathan had great delight in David.
1 Saül parla à Jonathan, son fils, et à tous ses serviteurs, de faire mourir David. Mais Jonathan, fils de Saül, qui avait une grande affection pour David,

1 Y Hablo Saúl á Jonathán su hijo, y á todos sus criados, para que matasen á David; mas Jonathán hijo de Saúl amaba á David en gran manera.
1 Saul aber redete mit seinem Sohn Jonathan und mit allen seinen Knechten, daß sie David sollten töten. Aber Jonathan, Sauls Sohn, hatte David sehr lieb
2 And Jonathan said to David, Saul, my father, is purposing your death: so now, take care in the morning, and keep yourself safe in a secret place:
2 l'en informa et lui dit: Saül, mon père, cherche à te faire mourir. Sois donc sur tes gardes demain matin, reste dans un lieu retiré, et cache-toi.
2 agus thug Iónátán rabhadh do Dháiví á rá: “Tá m'athair Sól ag iarraidh thú a mharú. Bí ar d'fhaichill, mar sin, maidin amárach; gabh i bhfolach in áit uaigneach éigin.
2 Y dió aviso á David, diciendo: Saúl mi padre procura matarte; por tanto mira ahora por ti hasta la mañana, y estáte en paraje oculto, y escóndete:
2 und verkündigte es ihm und sprach: Mein Vater Saul trachtet darnach, daß er dich töte. Nun, so bewahre dich morgen und bleib verborgen und verstecke dich.
3 And I will go out and take my place by my father's side in the field near where you are; and I will get into talk with my father about you, and when I see how things are, I will give you word.
3 Je sortirai et je me tiendrai à côté de mon père dans le champ où tu seras; je parlerai de toi à mon père, je verrai ce qu'il dira, et je te le rapporterai.
3 Agus gabhfaidh mise amach agus fanfaidh mé i gcomhluadar m'athar sa ghort mar a mbeidh tusa agus labhróidh mé le m'athair fút. Má fhaighim fios an scéil inseoidh mé duit é.”
3 Y yo saldré y estaré junto á mi padre en el campo donde estuvieres: y hablaré de ti á mi padre, y te haré saber lo que notare.
3 Ich will aber herausgehen und neben meinem Vater stehen auf dem Felde, da du bist, und von dir mit meinem Vater reden; und was ich sehe, will ich dir kundtun.
4 And Jonathan gave his father Saul a good account of David, and said to him, Let not the king do wrong against his servant, against David; because he has done you no wrong, and all his acts have had a good outcome for you:
4 Jonathan parla favorablement de David à Saül, son père: Que le roi, dit-il, ne commette pas un péché à l'égard de son serviteur David, car il n'en a point commis envers toi. Au contraire, il a agi pour ton bien;
4 Mhol Iónátán Dáiví dá athair, Sól, dá bhrí sin agus dúirt leis: “Ná déanadh an rí peaca in aghaidh a shearbhónta, Dáiví, mar ní dhearna seisean peaca i d'aghaidh, agus gach a ndearna sé, chuaigh sé go mór i dtairbhe duitse.
4 Y Jonathán habló bien de David á Saúl su padre, y díjole: No peque el rey contra su siervo David, pues que ninguna cosa ha cometido contra ti: antes sus obras te han sido muy buenas;
4 Und Jonathan redete das Beste von David mit seinem Vater Saul und sprach zu ihm: Es versündige sich der König nicht an seinem Knecht David; denn er hat keine Sünde wider dich getan, und sein Tun ist dir sehr nütze,
5 For he put his life in danger and overcame the Philistine, and the Lord gave all Israel salvation: you saw it and were glad: why then are you sinning against him who has done no wrong, desiring the death of David without cause?
5 il a exposé sa vie, il a tué le Philistin, et l'Éternel a opéré une grande délivrance pour tout Israël. Tu l'as vu, et tu t'en es réjoui. Pourquoi pécherais-tu contre le sang innocent, et ferais-tu sans raison mourir David?
5 Chuaigh sé i mbaol a anama nuair a mharaigh sé an Filistíneach, agus nuair a thug Dia bua mór d'Iosrael go léir. Chonaic tú féin é, agus bhí lúcháir ort. Cén fáth mar sin go ndéanfá peaca in aghaidh fola neamhchiontaí agus Dáiví a mharú gan chúis?”
5 Porque él puso su alma en su palma, é hirió al Filisteo, y Jehová hizo una gran salud á todo Israel. Tú lo viste, y te holgaste: ¿por qué pues pecarás contra la sangre inocente, matando á David sin causa?
5 und er hat sein Leben in seine Hand gesetzt und schlug den Philister, und der HERR tat ein großes Heil dem ganzen Israel. Das hast du gesehen und dich des gefreut. Warum willst du dich denn an unschuldigem Blut versündigen, daß du David ohne Ursache tötest?
6 And Saul gave ear to the voice of Jonathan, and said with an oath, By the living Lord, he is not to be put to death.
6 Saül écouta la voix de Jonathan, et il jura, disant: L'Éternel est vivant! David ne mourra pas.
6 Agus thug Sól aird ar a ndúirt Iónátán agus thug Sól mionn á rá: “Dar an Tiarna beo, ní mharófar é.”
6 Y oyendo Saúl la voz de Jonathán, juró: Vive Jehová, que no morirá.
6 Da gehorchte Saul der Stimme Jonathans und schwur: So wahr der HERR lebt, er soll nicht sterben!
7 Then Jonathan sent for David and gave him word of all these things. And Jonathan took David to Saul, who kept him by his side as in the past.
7 Jonathan appela David, et lui rapporta toutes ces paroles; puis il l'amena auprès de Saül, en présence de qui David fut comme auparavant.
7 Ghlaoigh Iónátán ar Dháiví agus d'inis sé an méid sin dó. Ansin thug Iónátán Dáiví leis go dtí Sól agus bhíodh sé ag freastal air faoi mar bhíodh roimhe sin. Dáiví ar Teitheadh
7 Llamando entonces Jonathán á David, declaróle todas estas palabras; y él mismo presentó á David á Saúl, y estuvo delante de él como antes.
7 Da rief Jonathan David und sagte ihm alle diese Worte und brachte ihn zu Saul, daß er zu ihm war wie zuvor.
8 And there was war again: and David went out fighting the Philistines, causing great destruction among them; and they went in flight before him.
8 La guerre continuait. David marcha contre les Philistins, et se battit avec eux; il leur fit éprouver une grande défaite, et ils s'enfuirent devant lui.
8 Bhí sé ina chogadh arís agus chuaigh Dáiví amach agus throid in aghaidh na bhFilistíneach; rinne sé ár agus eirleach orthu agus theitheadar roimhe.
8 Y tornó á hacerse guerra: y salió David y peleó contra los Filisteos, é hiriólos con grande estrago, y huyeron delante de él.
8 Es erhob sich aber wieder ein Streit, und David zog aus und stritt wider die Philister und tat eine große Schlacht, daß sie vor ihm flohen.
9 And an evil spirit from the Lord came on Saul, when he was seated in his house with his spear in his hand; and David made music for him.
9 Alors le mauvais esprit de l'Éternel fut sur Saül, qui était assis dans sa maison, sa lance à la main.
9 Ansin ghabh drochspiorad ón Tiarna greim ar Shól agus é ina shuí ina theach agus a shleá ina láimh aige; bhí Dáiví ag seinm na cruite.
9 Y el espíritu malo de parte de Jehová fué sobre Saúl: y estando sentado en su casa tenía una lanza á mano, mientras David estaba tañendo con su mano.
9 Aber der böse Geist vom HERRN kam über Saul, und er saß in seinem Hause und hatte einen Spieß in seiner Hand; David aber spielte auf den Saiten mit der Hand.
10 And Saul would have sent his spear through him, pinning him to the wall, but he got away and the spear went into the wall: and that night David went in flight and got away.
10 David jouait, et Saül voulut le frapper avec sa lance contre la paroi. Mais David se détourna de lui, et Saül frappa de sa lance la paroi. David prit la fuite et s'échappa pendant la nuit.
10 Rinne Sól iarracht ar Dháiví a ghreamú den bhalla lena shleá, ach sceinn sé as an tslí ó Shól i dtreo gur sháigh seisean a shleá sa bhalla. Theith Dáiví agus tháinig slán.
10 Y Saúl procuró enclavar á David con la lanza en la pared; mas él se apartó de delante de Saúl, el cual hirió con la lanza en la pared; y David huyó, y escapóse aquella noche.
10 Und Saul trachtete, David mit dem Spieß an die Wand zu spießen. Er aber riß sich von Saul, und der Spieß fuhr in die Wand. David aber floh und entrann dieselbe Nacht.
11 Then in that night Saul sent men to David's house to keep watch on him so as to put him to death in the morning: and David's wife Michal said to him, If you do not go away to a safe place tonight you will be put to death in the morning.
11 Saül envoya des gens vers la maison de David, pour le garder et le faire mourir au matin. Mais Mical, femme de David, l'en informa et lui dit: Si tu ne te sauves pas cette nuit, demain tu es mort.
11 An oíche chéanna úd chuir Sól dream go teach Dháiví chun é a fhaire d'fhonn é a mharú maidin lá arna mhárach. Ach dúirt Míceal bean Dháiví leis: “Mura n‑éalaíonn tú le d'anam anocht, marófar thú amárach.”
11 Saúl envió luego mensajeros á casa de David para que lo guardasen, y lo matasen á la mañana. Mas Michâl su mujer lo descubrió á David, diciendo: Si no salvares tu vida esta noche, mañana serás muerto.
11 Saul sandte aber Boten zu Davids Haus, daß sie ihn verwahrten und töteten am Morgen. Das verkündigte dem David sein Weib Michal und sprach: Wirst du nicht diese Nacht deine Seele erretten, so mußt du morgen sterben.
12 So Michal let David down through the window, and he went in flight and got away.
12 Elle le fit descendre par la fenêtre, et David s'en alla et s'enfuit. C'est ainsi qu'il échappa.
12 Ansin scaoil Míceal Dáiví síos ón bhfuinneog, agus theith sé leis agus d'éalaigh.
12 Y descolgó Michâl á David por una ventana; y él se fué, y huyó, y escapóse.
12 Da ließ ihn Michal durchs Fenster hernieder, daß er hinging, entfloh und entrann.
13 Then Michal took the image and put it in the bed, with a cushion of goat's hair at its head, and she put clothing over it.
13 Ensuite Mical prit le théraphim, qu'elle plaça dans le lit; elle mit une peau de chèvre à son chevet, et elle l'enveloppa d'une couverture.
13 Fuair Míceal an taráfaím, an íomhá, ansin agus leag ar an leaba é, chuir mothall d'fhionnadh gabhair ar a cheann, agus leag brat air á cheilt.
13 Tomó luego Michâl una estatua, y púsola sobre la cama, y acomodóle por cabecera una almohada de pelos de cabra, y cubrióla con una ropa.
13 Und Michal nahm ein Götzenbild und legte es ins Bett und legte ein Ziegenfell zu seinen Häupten und deckte es mit Kleidern zu.
14 And when Saul sent men to take David, she said, He is ill.
14 Lorsque Saül envoya des gens pour prendre David, elle dit: Il est malade.
14 Nuair a sheol Sól lucht a ghafa go Dáiví, dúirt sí: “Tá sé tinn.”
14 Y cuando Saúl envió mensajeros que tomasen á David, ella respondió: Está enfermo.
14 Da sandte Saul Boten, daß sie David holten. Sie aber sprach: Er ist krank.
15 And Saul sent his men to see David, saying, Do not come back without him, take him in his bed, so that I may put him to death.
15 Saül les renvoya pour qu'ils le vissent, et il dit: Apportez-le-moi dans son lit, afin que je le fasse mourir.
15 Ach chuir Sól a ghiollaí ar ais chun Dáiví a fheiceáil á rá: “Tugaigí chugam aníos ar a leaba é ionas go maróinn é!”
15 Y tornó Saúl á enviar mensajeros para que viesen á David, diciendo: Traédmelo en la cama para que lo mate.
15 Saul aber sandte Boten, nach David zu sehen, und sprach: Bringt ihn herauf zu mir mit dem Bett, daß er getötet werde!
16 And when the men came in, there was the image in the bed, with the cushion of goat's hair at its head
16 Ces gens revinrent, et voici, le théraphim était dans le lit, et une peau de chèvre à son chevet.
16 Chuadar isteach dá bhrí sin agus ansiúd rompu ar an leaba bhí an taráfaím agus an mothall d'fhionnadh gabhair ar a cheann!
16 Y como los mensajeros entraron, he aquí la estatua estaba en la cama, y una almohada de pelos de cabra por cabecera.
16 Da nun die Boten kamen, siehe, da lag das Bild im Bett und ein Ziegenfell zu seinen Häupten.
17 And Saul said to Michal, why have you been false to me, letting my hater go and get safely away? And in answer Michal said to Saul, He said to me, Let me go, or I will put you to death.
17 Saül dit à Mical: Pourquoi m'as-tu trompé de la sorte, et as-tu laissé partir mon ennemi qui s'est échappé? Mical répondit à Saül: Il m'a dit: Laisse moi aller, ou je te tue!
17 Ansin dúirt Sól le Míceal: “Cén fáth ar mheall tú mar seo mé agus ligean do mo namhaid imeacht agus éalú leis?” D'fhreagair Míceal Sól á rá: “Dúirt sé liom: ‘Lig dom imeacht, cén fáth thú a mharú?’ ”
17 Entonces Saúl dijo á Michâl: ¿Por qué me has así engañado, y has dejado escapar á mi enemigo? Y Michâl respondió á Saúl: Porque él me dijo: Déjame ir; si no, yo te mataré.
17 Da sprach Saul zu Michal: Warum hast du mich betrogen und meinen Feind gelassen, daß er entrönne? Michal sprach zu Saul: Er sprach zu mir: Laß mich gehen, oder ich töte dich!
18 So David went in flight and got away and came to Ramah, to Samuel, and gave him an account of all Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and were living in Naioth.
18 C'est ainsi que David prit la fuite et qu'il échappa. Il se rendit auprès de Samuel à Rama, et lui raconta tout ce que Saül lui avait fait. Puis il alla avec Samuel demeurer à Najoth.
18 Theith Dáiví agus d'éalaigh leis agus chuaigh go Samúéil i Rámá agus d'inis sé dó gach a ndearna Sól air. D'imigh sé féin agus Samúéil ansin agus chuireadar fúthu sna botháin.
18 Huyó pues David, y escapóse, y vino á Samuel en Rama, y díjole todo lo que Saúl había hecho con él. Y fuéronse él y Samuel, y moraron en Najoth.
18 David aber entfloh und entrann und kam zu Samuel nach Rama und sagte ihm an alles, was ihm Saul getan hatte. Und er ging hin mit Samuel, und sie blieben zu Najoth.
19 And word was given to Saul that David was at Naioth in Ramah.
19 On le rapporta à Saül, en disant: Voici, David est à Najoth, près de Rama.
19 Tháinig an scéala go Sól: “Tá Dáiví sna botháin i Rámá.”
19 Y fué dado aviso á Saúl, diciendo: He aquí que David está en Najoth en Rama.
19 Und es ward Saul angesagt: Siehe, David ist zu Najoth in Rama.
20 And Saul sent men to take David; and when they saw the band of prophets at work, with Samuel in his place at their head, the spirit of God came on Saul's men, and they became like prophets.
20 Saül envoya des gens pour prendre David. Ils virent une assemblée de prophètes qui prophétisaient, ayant Samuel à leur tête. L'esprit de Dieu saisit les envoyés de Saül, et ils se mirent aussi à prophétiser eux-mêmes.
20 Chuir Sól giollaí chun Dáiví a ghabháil. Nuair a chonaic siad cuallacht na bhfáithe ag fáidheoireacht agus Samúéil ansiúd i gceannas orthu, tháinig spiorad Dé ar ghiollaí Shóil agus rinneadarsan fáidheoireacht chomh maith.
20 Y envió Saúl mensajeros que trajesen á David, los cuales vieron una compañía de profetas que profetizaban, y á Samuel que estaba allí, y los presidía. Y fué el espíritu de Dios sobre los mensajeros de Saúl, y ellos también profetizaron.
20 Da sandte Saul Boten, daß sie David holten; und sie sahen den Chor der Propheten weissagen, und Samuel war ihr Vorsteher. Da kam der Geist Gottes auf die Boten Sauls, daß auch sie weissagten.
21 And Saul, having news of this, sent other men, who in the same way became like prophets. And a third time Saul sent men, and they like the others became like prophets.
21 On en fit rapport à Saül, qui envoya d'autres gens, et eux aussi prophétisèrent. Il en envoya encore pour la troisième fois, et ils prophétisèrent également.
21 Nuair a fuair Sól an scéala sin chuir sé giollaí eile uaidh, ach rinneadarsan fáidheoireacht chomh maith. Ansin chuir Sól giollaí eile fós den tríú huair, ach rinneadarsan fáidheoireacht chomh maith.
21 Y hecho que fué saber á Saúl, él envió otros mensajeros, los cuales también profetizaron. Y Saúl volvió á enviar por tercera vez mensajeros, y ellos también profetizaron.
21 Da das Saul ward angesagt, sandte er andere Boten; die weissagten auch. Da sandte er die dritten Boten; die weissagten auch.
22 Then he himself went to Ramah, and came to the great water-spring in Secu; and questioning the people he said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, They are at Naioth in Ramah.
22 Alors Saül alla lui-même à Rama. Arrivé à la grande citerne qui est à Sécou, il demanda: Où sont Samuel et David? On lui répondit: Ils sont à Najoth, près de Rama.
22 Chuaigh sé féin go Rámá ansin, agus tháinig sé go tobar [an urláir bhuailte ar an gcnocán maol] agus d'fhiafraigh: “Cá bhfuil Samúéil agus Dáiví?” D'fhreagair duine éigin: “Féach, tá siad sna botháin i Rámá.”
22 Entonces él mismo vino á Rama; y llegando al pozo grande que está en Sochô, preguntó diciendo: ¿Dónde están Samuel y David? Y fuéle respondido: He aquí están en Najoth en Rama.
22 Da ging er selbst auch gen Rama. Und da er kam zum großen Brunnen, der zu Seku ist, fragte er und sprach: Wo ist Samuel und David? Da ward ihm gesagt: Siehe, zu Najoth in Rama.
23 And he went on from there to Naioth in Ramah: and the spirit of God came on him, and he went on, acting like a prophet, till he came to Naioth in Ramah.
23 Et il se dirigea vers Najoth, près de Rama. L'esprit de Dieu fut aussi sur lui; et Saül continua son chemin en prophétisant, jusqu'à son arrivée à Najoth, près de Rama.
23 D'imigh sé leis ón áit sin go dtí na botháin i Rámá agus tháinig spiorad Dé airsean chomh maith agus, ar an mbealach do, bhí sé ag fáidheoireacht nó gur shroich sé na botháin i Rámá.
23 Y fué allá á Najoth en Rama; y también vino sobre él el espíritu de Dios, é iba profetizando, hasta que llegó á Najoth en Rama.
23 Und er ging dahin gen Najoth in Rama. Und der Geist Gottes kam auch auf ihn, und er ging einher und weissagte, bis er kam gen Najoth in Rama.
24 And he took off his clothing, acting like a prophet before Samuel, and falling down he was stretched out, without his clothing, all that day and all that night. This is the reason for the saying, Is even Saul among the prophets?
24 Il ôta ses vêtements, et il prophétisa aussi devant Samuel; et il se jeta nu par terre tout ce jour-là et toute la nuit. C'est pourquoi l'on dit: Saül est-il aussi parmi les prophètes?
