1 Now one day Jonathan, the son of Saul, said to the young man who was with him, looking after his arms, Come, let us go over to the Philistine force over there. But he said nothing to his father.
1 Un jour, Jonathan, fils de Saül, dit au jeune homme qui portait ses armes: Viens, et poussons jusqu'au poste des Philistins qui est là de l'autre côté. Et il n'en dit rien à son père.
1 Dúirt Iónátán mac Shóil le fear iompair a airm lá: “Téanam anonn go dtí an garastún Filistíneach [sa bhealach],” ach ní dúirt sé aon ní lena athair.
1 Y Un día aconteció, que Jonathán hijo de Saúl dijo á su criado que le traía las armas: Ven, y pasemos á la guarnición de los Filisteos, que está á aquel lado. Y no lo hizo saber á su padre.
1 Es begab sich eines Tages, daß Jonathan, der Sohn Sauls, sprach zu seinem Knaben, der sein Waffenträger war: Komm, laß und hinübergehen zu der Philister Wache, die da drüben ist! und sagte es seinem Vater nicht an.
2 And Saul was still waiting in the farthest part of Geba, under the fruit-tree in Migron: there were about six hundred men with him;
2 Saül se tenait à l'extrémité de Guibea, sous le grenadier de Migron, et le peuple qui était avec lui formait environ six cents hommes.

3 And Ahijah, the son of Ahitub, brother of Ichabod, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the priest of the Lord in Shiloh, who had the ephod. And the people had no idea that Jonathan had gone.
3 Achija, fils d'Achithub, frère d'I Kabod, fils de Phinées, fils d'Éli, sacrificateur de l'Éternel à Silo, portait l'éphod. Le peuple ne savait pas que Jonathan s'en fût allé.

3 Y Achîas hijo de Achîtob, hermano de Ichâbod, hijo de Phinees, hijo de Eli, sacerdote de Jehová en Silo, llevaba el ephod; y no sabía el pueblo que Jonathán se hubiese ido.
3 Und Ahia, der Sohn Ahitobs, des Bruders Ikabods, des Sohnes Pinehas, des Sohnes Elis, des Priesters des HERRN zu Silo, trug den Leibrock. Das Volk wußte auch nicht, daß Jonathan war hingegangen.
4 Now between the narrow roads over the mountains by which Jonathan was making his way to the Philistines' forces, there was a sharp overhanging rock on one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: one was named Bozez and the other Seneh.
4 Entre les passages par lesquels Jonathan cherchait à arriver au poste des Philistins, il y avait une dent de rocher d'un côté et une dent de rocher de l'autre côté, l'une portant le nom de Botsets et l'autre celui de Séné.

4 Y entre los pasos por donde Jonathán procuraba pasar á la guarnición de los Filisteos, había un peñasco agudo de la una parte, y otro de la otra parte; el uno se llamaba Boses y el otro Sene:
4 Es waren aber an dem Wege, da Jonathan versuchte hinüberzugehen zu der Philister Wache, zwei spitze Felsen, einer diesseits, der andere jenseits; der eine hieß Bozez, der andere Sene.
5 The one rock went up on the north in front of Michmash and the other on the south in front of Geba.
5 L'une de ces dents est au nord vis-à-vis de Micmasch, et l'autre au midi vis-à-vis de Guéba.
5 Tá an chéad splinc ag gobadh amach ar an taobh thuaidh os comhair Mhicmeáis, agus an dara ceann laisteas os comhair Gheaba.
5 El un peñasco situado al norte hacia Michmas, y el otro al mediodía hacia Gabaa.
5 Und einer sah von Mitternacht gegen Michmas und der andere von Mittag gegen Geba.
6 And Jonathan said to his young servant who had his arms, Come, let us go over to the armies of these men who have no circumcision: it may be that the Lord will give us help, for there is no limit to his power; the Lord is able to give salvation by a great army or by a small band.
6 Jonathan dit au jeune homme qui portait ses armes: Viens, et poussons jusqu'au poste de ces incirconcis. Peut-être l'Éternel agira-t-il pour nous, car rien n'empêche l'Éternel de sauver au moyen d'un petit nombre comme d'un grand nombre.
6 Dúirt Iónátán le fear iompair a airm: “Téanam anonn go dtí garastún na droinge sin gan timpeallghearradh; b'fhéidir go ndéanfadh an Tiarna rud éigin dúinn, óir ní féidir d'aon ní cosc a chur ar an Tiarna an bua a thabhairt dúinn dá líonmhaire nó dá laghad slua iadsan.”
6 Dijo pues Jonathán á su criado que le traía las armas: Ven, pasemos á la guarnición de estos incircuncisos: quizá hará Jehová por nosotros; que no es difícil á Jehová salvar con multitud ó con poco número.
6 Und Jonathan sprach zu seinem Waffenträger: Komm, laß uns hinübergehen zu der Wache der Unbeschnittenen! Vielleicht wird der HERR etwas durch uns ausrichten; denn es ist dem HERRN nicht schwer, durch viel oder wenig zu helfen.
7 And his servant said to him, Do whatever is in your mind: see, I am with you in every impulse of your heart.
7 Celui qui portait ses armes lui répondit: Fais tout ce que tu as dans le coeur, n'écoute que ton sentiment, me voici avec toi prêt à te suivre.
7 Dúirt fear iompair a airm: “Déan mar a chuireann do chroí in iúl duit. Maidir liomsa, tá mo chroí leat.”
7 Y su paje de armas le respondió: Haz todo lo que tienes en tu corazón: ve, que aquí estoy contigo á tu voluntad.
7 Da antwortete ihm sein Waffenträger: Tue alles, was in deinem Herzen ist; fahre hin. Siehe, ich bin mit dir, wie dein Herz will.
8 Then Jonathan said, Now we will go over to these men and let them see us.
8 Hé bien! dit Jonathan, allons à ces gens et montrons-nous à eux.
8 Ansin dúirt Iónátán: “Féach, rachaimid anonn go dtí na daoine seo, agus ligfimid dóibh sinn a fheiceáil.
8 Y Jonathán dijo: He aquí, nosotros pasaremos á los hombres, y nos mostraremos á ellos.
8 Jonathan sprach: Wohlan! Wenn wir hinüberkommen zu den Leuten und ihnen ins Gesicht kommen,
9 If they say to us, Keep quiet where you are till we come to you; then we will keep our places and not go up to them.
9 S'ils nous disent: Arrêtez, jusqu'à ce que nous venions à vous! nous resterons en place, et nous ne monterons point vers eux.
9 Má deir siad linn: ‘Fanaigí mar a bhfuil sibh go dtéimidne chugaibh,’ fanfaimid mar a bhfuilimid gan dul suas chucu.
9 Si nos dijeren así: Esperad hasta que lleguemos á vosotros; entonces nos estaremos en nuestro lugar, y no subiremos á ellos.
9 werden sie dann sagen: Steht still, bis wir zu euch gelangen! so wollen wir an unserm Ort stehenbleiben und nicht zu ihnen hinaufgehen.
10 But if they say, Come up to us; then we will go up, for the Lord has given them into our hands: and this will be the sign to us.
10 Mais s'ils disent: Montez vers nous! nous monterons, car l'Éternel les livre entre nos mains. C'est là ce qui nous servira de signe.
10 Ach má deir siad: ‘Tagaigí aníos chugainn,’ rachaimid suas mar bheidh sé sin ina chomhartha gur thug an Tiarna inár lámha dúinn iad.”
10 Mas si nos dijeren así: Subid á nosotros: entonces subiremos, porque Jehová los ha entregado en nuestras manos: y esto nos será por señal.
10 Werden sie aber sagen: Kommt zu uns herauf! so wollen wir zu ihnen hinaufsteigen, so hat sie uns der HERR in unsre Hand gegeben. Und das soll uns zum Zeichen sein.
11 And they let the Philistine force see the two of them: and the Philistines said, Look! the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have taken cover.
11 Ils se montrèrent tous deux au poste des Philistins, et les Philistins dirent: Voici les Hébreux qui sortent des trous où ils se sont cachés.
11 Ligeadar araon do gharastún na bhFilistíneach iad a fheiceáil; dúirt na Filistínigh: “Seo amach na hEabhraigh as na poill ina raibh siad i bhfolach.”
11 Mostráronse pues ambos á la guarnición de los Filisteos, y los Filisteos dijeron: He aquí los Hebreos, que salen de las cavernas en que se habían escondido.
11 Da sie nun der Philister Wache beide ins Gesicht kamen, sprachen die Philister: Siehe, die Hebräer sind aus ihren Löchern gegangen, darin sie sich verkrochen hatten.
12 And the armed men of the force gave Jonathan and his servant their answer, saying, Come up here to us, and we will let you see something. Then Jonathan said to his servant, Come up after me: for the Lord has given them up into the hands of Israel.
12 Et les hommes du poste s'adressèrent ainsi à Jonathan et à celui qui portait ses armes: Montez vers nous, et nous vous ferons savoir quelque chose. Jonathan dit à celui qui portait ses armes: Monte après moi, car l'Éternel les livre entre les mains d'Israël.
12 Chuir lucht an gharastúin forrán ansin ar Iónátán agus ar fhear iompair a airm: “Tagaigí aníos chugainn,” ar siad, “tá rud éigin le rá againn libh.” Dúirt Iónátán lena fhear iompair airm: “Lean suas mé; thug an Tiarna ar láimh Iosrael iad.”
12 Y los hombres de la guarnición respondieron á Jonathán y á su paje de armas, y dijeron: Subid á nosotros, y os haremos saber una cosa. Entonces Jonathán dijo á su paje de armas: Sube tras mí, que Jehová los ha entregado en la mano de Israel.
12 Und die Männer der Wache antworteten Jonathan und seinem Waffenträger und sprachen: Kommt herauf zu uns, so wollen wir's euch wohl lehren! Da sprach Jonathan zu seinem Waffenträger: Steig mir nach! der HERR hat sie gegeben in die Hände Israels.
13 And Jonathan went up, gripping with his hands and his feet, his servant going up after him; and the Philistines gave way before Jonathan when he made an attack on them, and his servant put them to death after him.
13 Et Jonathan monta en s'aidant des mains et des pieds, et celui qui portait ses armes le suivit. Les Philistins tombèrent devant Jonathan, et celui qui portait ses armes donnait la mort derrière lui.
13 Ghabh Iónátán suas ar lámhacán, agus a fhear iompair airm ina dhiaidh. Thiteadar siúd roimh Iónátán agus tháinig a fhear iompair airm ina dhiaidh, agus mharaigh sé iad.
13 Y subió Jonathán trepando con sus manos y sus pies, y tras él su paje de armas; y los que caían delante de Jonathán, su paje de armas que iba tras él, los mataba.
13 Und Jonathan kletterte mit Händen und mit Füßen hinauf und sein Waffenträger ihm nach. Da fielen sie vor Jonathan darnieder, und sein Waffenträger würgte ihm immer nach,
14 And at their first attack, Jonathan and his servant put to the sword about twenty men, all inside the space of half an acre of land.
14 Dans cette première défaite, Jonathan et celui qui portait ses armes tuèrent une vingtaine d'hommes, sur l'espace d'environ la moitié d'un arpent de terre.
14 Sa chéad ár a chuir Iónátán agus a fhear iompair airm thit timpeall fiche fear i bhfad leathiomaire in acra talún. Cath
14 Esta fué la primera rota, en la cual Jonathán con su paje de armas, mataron como unos veinte hombres en el espacio de una media yugada.
14 also daß derer, die Jonathan und sein Waffenträger zuerst erschlug, waren bei zwanzig Mann, beinahe auf einer halben Hufe Acker, die ein Joch pflügt.
15 And there was great fear in the tents and in the field and among all the men of the armed force, and the attackers were shaking with fear; even the earth was moved with a great shaking and there was a fear as from God.
15 L'effroi se répandit au camp, dans la contrée et parmi tout le peuple; le poste et ceux qui ravageaient furent également saisis de peur; le pays fut dans l'épouvante. C'était comme une terreur de Dieu.
15 Bhí scéin sa champa agus faoin tuath ina thimpeall; tháinig scanradh ar an ngarastún agus ar an lucht creiche; chrith an talamh agus bhí uafás Dé ar dhaoine.
15 Y hubo temblor en el real y por el campo, y entre toda la gente de la guarnición; y los que habían ido á hacer correrías, también ellos temblaron, y alborotóse la tierra: hubo pues gran consternación.
15 Und es kam ein Schrecken ins Lager auf dem Felde und ins ganze Volk; die Wache und die streifenden Rotten erschraken auch, also daß das Land erbebte; denn es war ein Schrecken von Gott.
16 And the watchmen of Saul, looking out from Geba in the land of Benjamin, saw all the army flowing away and running here and there.
16 Les sentinelles de Saül, qui étaient à Guibea de Benjamin, virent que la multitude se dispersait et allait de côté et d'autre.
16 Chonaic farairí Shóil i nGibeá Bhiniáimin an campa á scaipeadh i ngach treo.
16 Y las centinelas de Saúl vieron desde Gabaa de Benjamín cómo la multitud estaba turbada, é iba de una parte á otra, y era deshecha.
16 Und die Wächter Sauls zu Gibea-Benjamin sahen, daß der Haufe zerrann und verlief sich und ward zerschmissen.
17 Then Saul said to the people who were with him, Let everyone be numbered and let us see who has gone from us. And when they had been numbered, it was seen that Jonathan and his servant were not there.
17 Alors Saül dit au peuple qui était avec lui: Comptez, je vous prie, et voyez qui s'en est allé du milieu de nous. Ils comptèrent, et voici, il manquait Jonathan et celui qui portait ses armes.

17 Entonces Saúl dijo al pueblo que tenía consigo: Reconoced luego, y mirad quién haya ido de los nuestros. Y reconocido que hubieron, hallaron que faltaban Jonathán y su paje de armas.
17 Saul sprach zu dem Volk, das bei ihm war: Zählt und seht, wer von uns sei weggegangen! Und da sei zählten, siehe, das war Jonathan und sein Waffenträger nicht da.
18 And Saul said to Ahijah, Let the ephod come here. For he went before Israel with the ephod at that time.
18 Et Saül dit à Achija: Fais approcher l'arche de Dieu! -Car en ce temps l'arche de Dieu était avec les enfants d'Israël.

19 Now while Saul was talking to the priest, the noise in the tents of the Philistines became louder and louder; and Saul said to the priest, Take back your hand.
19 Pendant que Saül parlait au sacrificateur, le tumulte dans le camp des Philistins allait toujours croissant; et Saül dit au sacrificateur: Retire ta main!
19 Fad a bhí Sól ag caint leis an sagart d'éirigh an callán i gcampa na bhFilistíneach níos measa agus níos measa, agus dúirt Sól leis an sagart; “Tarraing siar do lámh.”

20 And Saul and all the people with him came together and went forward to the fight: and every man's sword was turned against the man at his side, and there was a very great noise.
20 Puis Saül et tout le peuple qui était avec lui se rassemblèrent, et ils s'avancèrent jusqu'au lieu du combat; et voici, les Philistins tournèrent l'épée les uns contre les autres, et la confusion était extrême.
20 Ansin chuir Sól agus an mhuintir a bhí in éineacht leis iad féin in eagar agus chuadar chun an chatha; ansiúd bhí gach duine ag díriú a chlaímh ar a chéile agus bhí sé ina chíor thuathail.
20 Y juntando Saúl todo el pueblo que con él estaba, vinieron hasta el lugar de la batalla: y he aquí que la espada de cada uno era vuelta contra su compañero, y la mortandad era grande.
20 Und Saul rief und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und sie kamen zum Streit; und siehe, da ging eines jeglichen Schwert wider den andern und war ein sehr großes Getümmel.
21 Then the Hebrews who had been with the Philistines for some time, and had gone up with them to their tents, turning round were joined to those who were with Saul and Jonathan.
21 Il y avait parmi les Philistins, comme auparavant, des Hébreux qui étaient montés avec eux dans le camp, où ils se trouvaient disséminés, et ils se joignirent à ceux d'Israël qui étaient avec Saül et Jonathan.
21 Fiú na hEabhraigh a chuaigh i seirbhís na bhFilistíneach roimhe sin, agus a ghabh suas leo go dtí an campa, ghabhadar leis na hIosraelaigh a bhí le Sól agus le Iónátán.
21 Y los Hebreos que habían estado con los Filisteos de tiempo antes, y habían venido con ellos de los alrededores al campo, también éstos se volvieron para ser con los Israelitas que estaban con Saúl y con Jonathán.
21 Auch die Hebräer, die bisher bei den Philistern gewesen waren und mit ihnen im Lager hinaufgezogen waren umher, taten sich zu denen von Israel, die mit Saul und Jonathan waren.
22 And all the men of Israel who had taken cover in the hill-country of Ephraim, hearing that the Philistines had been put to flight, went after them, attacking them.
22 Tous les hommes d'Israël qui s'étaient cachés dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, apprenant que les Philistins fuyaient, se mirent aussi à les poursuivre dans la bataille.
22 Na hIosraelaigh go léir a bhí i bhfolach in ardáin Eafráim, nuair a chuala siad go raibh na Filistínigh ag teitheadh, chuadar go dian sa tóir orthu sa chath.
22 Asimismo todos los Israelitas que se habían escondido en el monte de Ephraim, oyendo que los Filisteos huían, ellos también los persiguieron en aquella batalla.
22 Und alle Männer von Israel, die sich auf dem Gebirge Ephraim verkrochen hatten, da sie hörten, daß die Philister flohen, strichen hinter ihnen her im Streit.
23 So the Lord made Israel safe that day: and the fight went over to Beth-aven.
23 L'Éternel délivra Israël ce jour-là, et le combat se prolongea jusqu'au delà de Beth Aven.
23 D'fhuascail an Tiarna Iosrael an lá sin agus ghabh an troid anonn thar Bhéit [Horón].
23 Así salvó Jehová á Israel aquel día. Y llegó el alcance hasta Beth-aven.
23 Also half der HERR zu der Zeit Israel. Und der Streit währte bis gen Beth-Aven.
24 And all the people were with Saul, about twenty thousand men, and the fight was general through all the hill-country of Ephraim; but Saul made a great error that day, by putting the people under an oath, saying, Let that man be cursed who takes food before evening comes and I have given punishment to those who are against me. So the people had not a taste of food.
24 La journée fut fatigante pour les hommes d'Israël. Saül avait fait jurer le peuple, en disant: Maudit soit l'homme qui prendra de la nourriture avant le soir, avant que je me sois vengé de mes ennemis! Et personne n'avait pris de nourriture.
24 Chuir [Sól troscadh dian] i bhfeidhm an lá sin agus chuir an pobal faoi mhionn á rá: “Mallacht ar an té a íosfaidh greim bia roimh thráthnóna, sula ndéanfaidh mé díoltas a imirt ar mo naimhde.” Níor bhlais aon duine den phobal greim.
24 Pero los hombres de Israel fueron puestos en apuro aquel día; porque Saúl había conjurado al pueblo, diciendo: Cualquiera que comiere pan hasta la tarde, hasta que haya tomado venganza de mis enemigos, sea maldito. Y todo el pueblo no había gustado pan.
24 Und da die Männer Israels matt waren desselben Tages, beschwor Saul das Volk und sprach: Verflucht sei jedermann, wer etwas ißt zum Abend, daß ich mich an meinen Feinden räche! Da aß das ganze Volk nichts.
25 And there was honey on the face of the field, and all the people came to the honey, the bees having gone from it;
25 Tout le peuple était arrivé dans une forêt, où il y avait du miel à la surface du sol.
25 [Bhí cíor mheala ar an talamh ar an mbán,]
25 Y todo el pueblo del país llegó á un bosque donde había miel en la superficie del campo.
25 Und das ganze Land kam in den Wald. Es war aber Honig auf dem Erdboden.
26 But not a man put his hand to his mouth for fear of the curse.
26 Lorsque le peuple entra dans la forêt, il vit du miel qui coulait; mais nul ne porta la main à la bouche, car le peuple respectait le serment.
26 ach nuair a tháinig na daoine chomh fada léi, [cé go raibh an tsaithe imithe,] níor chuir aon duine lámh chun a bhéil, le heagla an mhionna.
26 Entró pues el pueblo en el bosque, y he aquí que la miel corría; mas ninguno hubo que llegase la mano á su boca: porque el pueblo temía el juramento.
26 Und da das Volk hineinkam in den Wald, siehe, da floß der Honig. Aber niemand tat davon mit der Hand zu seinem Munde; denn das Volk fürchtete sich vor dem Eid.
27 But Jonathan, having no knowledge of the oath his father had put on the people, stretching out the rod which was in his hand, put the end of it in the honey, and put it to his mouth; then his eyes were made bright.
27 Jonathan ignorait le serment que son père avait fait faire au peuple; il avança le bout du bâton qu'il avait à la main, le plongea dans un rayon de miel, et ramena la main à la bouche; et ses yeux furent éclaircis.
27 Ach níor chuala Iónátán a athair ag cur an phobail faoi bhrí an mhionna, agus shín sé barr an bhata a bhí ina ghlaic agus thum sa chíor é agus chuir a lámh chun a bhéil, agus tháinig preab ina shúile.
27 Empero Jonathán no había oído cuando su padre conjuró al pueblo, y alargó la punta de una vara que traía en su mano, y mojóla en un panal de miel, y llegó su mano á su boca; y sus ojos fueron aclarados.
27 Jonathan aber hatte nicht gehört, daß sein Vater das Volk beschworen hatte, und reckte seinen Stab aus, den er in seiner Hand hatte, und tauchte mit der Spitze in den Honigseim und wandte seine Hand zu seinem Munde; da wurden sein Augen wacker.
28 Then one of the people said to him, Your father put the people under an oath, saying, Let that man be cursed who takes any food this day. And the people were feeble, needing food.
28 Alors quelqu'un du peuple, lui adressant la parole, dit: Ton père a fait jurer le peuple, en disant: Maudit soit l'homme qui prendra de la nourriture aujourd'hui! Or le peuple était épuisé.
28 Ansin labhair duine den phobal: “Chuir d'athair,” ar sé, “an pobal go docht faoi bhrí mionna á rá go mbeadh mallacht ar an té a d'íosfadh greim inniu” [agus bhí lagaíocht ar an bpobal].
28 Entonces habló uno del pueblo, diciendo: Tu padre ha conjurado expresamente al pueblo, diciendo: Maldito sea el hombre que comiere hoy manjar. Y el pueblo desfallecía.
28 Da antwortete einer des Volks und sprach: Dein Vater hat das Volk beschworen und gesagt: Verflucht sei jedermann, der heute etwas ißt! Und das Volk war matt geworden.
29 Then Jonathan said, My father has made trouble come on the land: now see how bright my eyes have become because I have taken a little of this honey.
29 Et Jonathan dit: Mon père trouble le peuple; voyez donc comme mes yeux se sont éclaircis, parce que j'ai goûté un peu de ce miel.
29 D'fhreagair Iónátán: “Rinne m'athair dochar don tír; féach nach mó an phreab atá i mo shúile anois mar gur ith mé an bhéalóg mheala sin?
29 Y respondió Jonathán: Mi padre ha turbado el país. Ved ahora cómo han sido aclarados mis ojos, por haber gustado un poco de esta miel:
29 Da sprach Jonathan: Mein Vater hat das Land ins Unglück gebracht; seht, wie wacker sind meine Augen geworden, daß ich ein wenig dieses Honigs gekostet habe.
30 How much more if the people had freely taken their food from the goods of those who were fighting against them! would there not have been much greater destruction among the Philistines?
30 Certes, si le peuple avait aujourd'hui mangé du butin qu'il a trouvé chez ses ennemis, la défaite des Philistins n'aurait-elle pas été plus grande?
30 Agus, dála an scéil, nárbh fhearr go mór é dá n‑íosfadh an pobal a ndóthain inniu as an gcreach a thógadar óna naimhde? Ní mor an t‑ár a cuireadh ar na Filistínigh.”
30 ¿Cuánto más si el pueblo hubiera hoy comido del despojo de sus enemigos que halló? ¿no se habría hecho ahora mayor estrago en los Filisteos?
30 Weil aber das Volk heute nicht hat dürfen essen von der Beute seiner Feinde, die es gefunden hat, so hat auch nun die Schlacht nicht größer werden können wider die Philister.
31 That day they overcame the Philistines from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were feeble from need of food.
31 Ils battirent ce jour-là les Philistins depuis Micmasch jusqu'à Ajalon. Le peuple était très fatigué,
31 Phleancadar na Filistínigh an lá sin ó Mhicmeáis go hAiálón nó go raibh an pobal tnáite traochta.
31 E hirieron aquel día á los Filisteos desde Michmas hasta Ajalón: mas el pueblo se cansó mucho.
31 Sie schlugen aber die Philister des Tages von Michmas bis gen Ajalon. Und das Volk ward sehr matt.
32 And rushing at the goods taken in the fight, the people took oxen and sheep and young oxen, and put them to death there on the earth, and had a meal, taking the flesh with the blood in it.
32 et il se jeta sur le butin. Il prit des brebis, des boeufs et des veaux, il les égorgea sur la terre, et il en mangea avec le sang.
32 Ansin thugadar faoin gcreach agus rugadar ar chaoirigh, daimh agus laonna, agus mharaíodar ansiúd ar an talamh iad agus d'alpadar iad fuil agus uile.
32 Tornóse por tanto el pueblo al despojo, y tomaron ovejas y vacas y becerros, y matáronlos en tierra, y el pueblo comió con sangre.
32 Und das Volk fiel über die Beute her und nahm Schafe und Rinder und Kälber und schlachteten auf der Erde und aßen so blutig.
33 Then it was said to Saul, See, the people are sinning against the Lord, taking the blood with the flesh. And he said to those who gave him the news, Now let a great stone be rolled to me here.
33 On le rapporta à Saül, et l'on dit: Voici, le peuple pèche contre l'Éternel, en mangeant avec le sang. Saül dit: Vous commettez une infidélité; roulez à l'instant vers moi une grande pierre.
33 Chuala Sól an scéal sin: “Féach,” ar siad, “tá an pobal ag déanamh peaca in aghaidh an Tiarna ag ithe idir fhuil agus uile.” D'fhreagair sé: “Rinne sibh feall; déanaigí cloch mhór a bhurláil [anseo i leith] chugam.”
33 Y dándole de ello aviso á Saúl, dijéronle: El pueblo peca contra Jehová comiendo con sangre. Y él dijo: Vosotros habéis prevaricado; rodadme ahora acá una grande piedra.
33 Da verkündete man Saul: Siehe, das Volk versündigt sich am HERRN, daß es Blut ißt. Er sprach: Ihr habt übel getan; wälzt her zu mir jetzt einen großen Stein.
34 And Saul said, Go about among the people and say to them, Let every man come here to me with his ox and his sheep, and put them to death here, and take his meal: do no sin against the Lord by taking the blood with the flesh. So all the people took their oxen with them that night and put them to death there.
34 Puis il ajouta: Répandez-vous parmi le peuple, et dites à chacun de m'amener son boeuf ou sa brebis, et de l'égorger ici. Vous mangerez ensuite, et vous ne pécherez point contre l'Éternel, en mangeant avec le sang. Et pendant la nuit, chacun parmi le peuple amena son boeuf à la main, afin de l'égorger sur la pierre.
34 Lean sé air ansin: “Imígí faoin slua agus abraigí leo: ‘Tugadh gach duine agaibh a dhamh nó a chaora agus maraídís anseo iad, gan peaca a dhéanamh in aghaidh an Tiarna le bheith á n‑ithe fuil agus uile.’ ” Thug gach duine den phobal a dhamh leis an oíche sin agus mharaíodar ansiúd iad.
34 Y Saúl tornó á decir: Esparcíos por el pueblo, y decidles que me traigan cada uno su vaca, y cada cual su oveja, y degolladlos aquí, y comed; y no pecaréis contra Jehová comiendo con sangre. Y trajo todo el pueblo cada cual por su mano su vaca aquella noche, y degollaron allí.
34 Und Saul sprach weiter: Zerstreut euch unter das Volk und sagt ihnen, daß ein jeglicher seinen Ochsen und sein Schaf zu mir bringe, und schlachtet allhier, daß ihr esset und euch nicht versündigt an dem HERRN mit dem Blutessen. Da brachte alles Volk ein jeglicher seinen Ochsen mit seiner Hand herzu des Nachts und schlachtete daselbst.
35 And Saul put up an altar to the Lord: this was the first altar which he put up to the Lord.
35 Saül bâtit un autel à l'Éternel: ce fut le premier autel qu'il bâtit à l'Éternel.
35 Thóg Sól altóir don Tiarna; ba í sin an chéad altóir a thóg sé don Tiarna. Anacal ar Iónátán
35 Y edificó Saúl altar á Jehová, el cual altar fué el primero que edificó á Jehová.
35 Und Saul baute dem HERRN einen Altar. (Das ist der erste Altar, den er dem HERRN baute.)
36 And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, attacking them till the morning, till there is not a man of them living. And they said, Do whatever seems right to you. Then the priest said, Let us come near to God.
36 Saül dit: Descendons cette nuit après les Philistins, pillons-les jusqu'à la lumière du matin, et n'en laissons pas un de reste. Ils dirent: Fais tout ce qui te semblera bon. Alors le sacrificateur dit: Approchons-nous ici de Dieu.
36 Dúirt Sól ansin: “Téimis síos i gcoim na hoíche agus déanaimis tóir agus creach ar na Filistínigh go breacadh an lae; ná fágaimis fear inste scéil.” “Déan mar is áil leat,” ar siad. Ach dúirt an sagart: “Téimis faoi dhéin Dé anseo.”
36 Y dijo Saúl: Descendamos de noche contra los Filisteos, y los saquearemos hasta la mañana, y no dejaremos de ellos ninguno. Y ellos dijeron: Haz lo que bien te pareciere. Dijo luego el sacerdote: Lleguémonos aquí á Dios.
36 Und Saul sprach: Laßt uns hinabziehen den Philistern nach bei der Nacht und sie berauben, bis daß es lichter Morgen wird, daß wir niemand von ihnen übriglassen. Sie antworteten: Tue alles, was dir gefällt. Aber der Priester sprach: Laßt uns hierher zu Gott nahen.
37 And Saul, desiring directions from God, said, Am I to go down after the Philistines? will you give them up into the hands of Israel? But he gave him no answer that day.
37 Et Saül consulta Dieu: Descendrai-je après les Philistins? Les livreras-tu entre les mains d'Israël? Mais en ce moment il ne lui donna point de réponse.
37 Lorg Sól comhairle ar Dhia: “An rachaidh mé síos ar thóir na bhFilistíneach? An dtabharfaidh tú ar láimh d'Iosrael iad?” Ach freagra níor thug sé dó an lá sin.
37 Y Saúl consultó á Dios: ¿Descenderé tras los Filisteos? ¿los entregarás en mano de Israel? Mas Jehová no le dió respuesta aquel día.
37 Und Saul fragte Gott: Soll ich hinabziehen den Philistern nach? Und willst du sie geben in Israels Hände? Aber er antwortete ihm zu der Zeit nicht.
38 And Saul said, Come near, all you chiefs of the people, and let us get word from God and see in whom is this sin today.
38 Saül dit: Approchez ici, vous tous chefs du peuple; recherchez et voyez comment ce péché a été commis aujourd'hui.

38 Entonces dijo Saúl: Llegaos acá todos los principales del pueblo; y sabed y mirad por quién ha sido hoy este pecado;
38 Da sprach Saul: Laßt herzutreten alle Obersten des Volks, und erfahret und sehet, an welchem die Sünde sei zu dieser Zeit;
39 For, by the living Lord, the saviour of Israel, even if the sinner is Jonathan, my son, death will certainly be his fate. But not a man among all the people gave him any answer.
39 Car l'Éternel, le libérateur d'Israël, est vivant! lors même que Jonathan, mon fils, en serait l'auteur, il mourrait. Et dans tout le peuple personne ne lui répondit.
39 Dar an Tiarna beo a thugann an bua d'Iosrael, fiú más do Iónátán mo mhac a tharla sé, cuirfear chun báis é, cuirfear sin.” Ach ní raibh fear ar an bpobal ar fad a thabharfadh freagra air.
39 Porque vive Jehová, que salva á Israel, que si fuere en mi hijo Jonathán, el morirá de cierto. Y no hubo en todo el pueblo quien le respondiese.
39 denn so wahr der HERR lebt, der Heiland Israels, und ob sie gleich an meinem Sohn Jonathan wäre, so soll er sterben! Und niemand antwortete ihm aus dem ganzen Volk.
40 Then he said to all Israel, You be on one side, and I with Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do whatever seems good to you.
40 Il dit à tout Israël: Mettez-vous d'un côté; et moi et Jonathan, mon fils, nous serons de l'autre. Et le peuple dit à Saül: Fais ce qui te semblera bon.
40 Dúirt sé ansin le hIosrael go léir: “Seasaigí sibhse ar thaobh amháin, agus seasóidh mise agus mo mhac Iónátán ar an taobh eile.” Dúirt an pobal le Sól: “Déan mar is áil leat.”
40 Dijo luego á todo Israel: Vosotros estaréis á un lado, y yo y Jonathán mi hijo estaremos á otro lado. Y el pueblo respondió á Saúl: Haz lo que bien te pareciere.
40 Und er sprach zu dem ganzen Israel: Seid ihr auf jener Seite; ich und mein Sohn Jonathan wollen sein auf dieser Seite. Das Volk sprach: Tue, was dir gefällt.
41 Then Saul said to the Lord, the God of Israel, Why have you not given me an answer today? If the sin is in me or in Jonathan my son, O Lord God of Israel, give Urim, and if it is in your people Israel, give Thummim. And by the decision of the Lord, Saul and Jonathan were marked out, and the people went free.
41 Saül dit à l'Éternel: Dieu d'Israël! fais connaître la vérité. Jonathan et Saül furent désignés, et le peuple fut libéré.
41 Dúirt Sól ansin: “A Thiarna, a Dhia Iosrael, cén fáth nár thug tú freagra ar do shearbhónta inniu? Más ormsa agus ar mo mhac Iónátán atá an locht, a Dhia Iosrael, tabhair Úirím; más ar phobal Iosrael atá an locht, tabhair Tuimím.” Thit an crann ar Shól agus Iónátán agus d'imigh an pobal saor.
41 Entonces dijo Saúl á Jehová Dios de Israel: Da perfección. Y fueron tomados Jonathán y Saúl, y el pueblo salió libre.
41 Und Saul sprach zu dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels: Schaffe Recht! Da ward Jonathan und Saul getroffen; aber das Volk ging frei aus.
42 And Saul said, Give your decision between my son Jonathan and me. And Jonathan was taken.
42 Saül dit: Jetez le sort entre moi et Jonathan, mon fils. Et Jonathan fut désigné.
42 Dúirt Sól: “Caith an crann idir mise agus mo mhac Iónátán.” Thit an crann ar Iónátán.
42 Y Saúl dijo: Echad suerte entre mí y Jonathán mi hijo. Y fué tomado Jonathán.
42 Saul sprach: Werft über mich und meinen Sohn Jonathan! Da ward Jonathan getroffen.
43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, Give me an account of what you have done. And Jonathan gave him the story and said, Certainly I took a little honey on the end of my rod; and now death is to be my fate.
43 Saül dit à Jonathan: Déclare-moi ce que tu as fait. Jonathan le lui déclara, et dit: J'ai goûté un peu de miel, avec le bout du bâton que j'avais à la main: me voici, je mourrai.
43 Dúirt Sól le Iónátán ansin: “Inis dom a bhfuil déanta agat.” “Ní dhearna mé,” arsa Iónátán, “ach béalóg mheala a ithe de bharr mo bhata a bhí i mo ghlaic agam. Seo anseo mé anois réidh don bhás.”
43 Entonces Saúl dijo á Jonathán: Declárame qué has hecho. Y Jonathán se lo declaró, y dijo: Cierto que gusté con la punta de la vara que traía en mi mano, un poco de miel: ¿y he aquí he de morir?
43 Und Saul sprach zu Jonathan: Sage mir, was hast du getan? Jonathan sagte es ihm und sprach: Ich habe ein wenig Honig gekostet mit dem Stabe, den ich in meiner Hand hatte; und siehe, ich muß darum sterben.
44 And Saul said, May God's punishment be on me if death is not your fate, Jonathan.
44 Et Saül dit: Que Dieu me traite dans toute sa rigueur, si tu ne meurs pas, Jonathan!
44 Dúirt Sól: “Go ndéana Dia seo agus siúd liom, agus a thuilleadh de bhreis air, mura bhfaigheann tú bás, a Iónátán.”
44 Y Saúl respondió: Así me haga Dios y así me añada, que sin duda morirás, Jonathán.
44 Da sprach Saul: Gott tue mir dies und das, Jonathan, du mußt des Todes sterben.
45 And the people said to Saul, Is death to come to Jonathan, the worker of this great salvation for Israel? Let it not be so: by the living Lord, not one hair of his head is to be touched, for he has been working with God today. So the people kept Jonathan from death.
45 Le peuple dit à Saül: Quoi! Jonathan mourrait, lui qui a opéré cette grande délivrance en Israël! Loin de là! L'Éternel est vivant! il ne tombera pas à terre un cheveu de sa tête, car c'est avec Dieu qu'il a agi dans cette journée. Ainsi le peuple sauva Jonathan, et il ne mourut point.
45 Ach dúirt an pobal le Sól: “An bhfaighidh Iónátán bás anois agus gurb eisean a fuair an bua iontach seo d'Iosrael? I bhfad uainn a leithéid! Dar an Tiarna beo, ní thitfidh oiread agus ribe de ghruaig a chinn chun talún mar bhí Dia leis ina bhearta inniu.” Rinne an pobal Iónátán a fhuascailt dá bhrí sin agus níor cuireadh chun báis é.
45 Mas el pueblo dijo á Saúl: ¿Ha pues de morir Jonathán, el que ha hecho esta salud grande en Israel? No será así. Vive Jehová, que no ha de caer un cabello de su cabeza en tierra, pues que ha obrado hoy con Dios. Así libró el pueblo á Jonathán, para que no muriese.
45 Aber das Volk sprach zu Saul: Sollte Jonathan sterben, der ein solch großes Heil in Israel getan hat! Das sei ferne! So wahr der HERR lebt, es soll kein Haar von seinem Haupt auf die Erde fallen; denn Gott hat's heute durch ihn getan. Also erlöste das Volk Jonathan, daß er nicht sterben mußte.
46 Then Saul, turning back, went after the Philistines no longer: and the Philistines went back to their place.
46 Saül cessa de poursuivre les Philistins, et les Philistins s'en allèrent chez eux.

47 Now when Saul had taken his place as ruler of Israel, he made war on those who were against him on every side, Moab and the Ammonites and Edom and the kings of Zobah and the Philistines: and whichever way he went, he overcame them.
47 Après que Saül eut pris possession de la royauté sur Israël, il fit de tous côtés la guerre à tous ses ennemis, à Moab, aux enfants d'Ammon, à Édom, aux rois de Tsoba, et aux Philistins; et partout où il se tournait, il était vainqueur.

47 Y ocupando Saúl el reino sobre Israel, hizo guerra á todos sus enemigos alrededor: contra Moab, contra los hijos de Ammón, contra Edom, contra los reyes de Soba, y contra los Filisteos: y á donde quiera que se tornaba era vencedor.
47 Aber da Saul das Reich über Israel eingenommen hatte, stritt er wider alle seine Feinde umher: wider die Moabiter, wider die Kinder Ammon, wider die Edomiter, wider die Könige Zobas, wider die Philister; und wo er sich hin wandte, da übte er Strafe.
48 And he did great things, and overcame the Amalekites, and made Israel safe from the hands of their attackers.
48 Il manifesta sa force, battit Amalek, et délivra Israël de la main de ceux qui le pillaient.

49 Now the sons of Saul were Jonathan and Ishvi and Malchi-shua; and these are the names of his daughters: the older was named Merab and the younger Michal;
49 Les fils de Saül étaient Jonathan, Jischvi et Malkischua. Ses deux filles s'appelaient: l'aînée Mérab, et la plus jeune Mical.

50 The name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz; the captain of his army was Abner, the son of Ner, brother of Saul's father.
50 Le nom de la femme de Saül était Achinoam, fille d'Achimaats. Le nom du chef de son armée était Abner, fils de Ner, oncle de Saül.

51 Kish, the father of Saul, and Ner, the father of Abner, were sons of Abiel.

52 All through the life of Saul there was bitter war against the Philistines; and whenever Saul saw any strong man or any good fighting man, he kept him near himself.
52 Pendant toute la vie de Saül, il y eut une guerre acharnée contre les Philistins; et dès que Saül apercevait quelque homme fort et vaillant, il le prenait à son service.
