1 And Samuel said to all Israel, You see that I have given ear to everything you said to me, and have made a king over you.
1 Samuel dit à tout Israël: Voici, j'ai écouté votre voix dans tout ce que vous m'avez dit, et j'ai établi un roi sur vous.
1 Dúirt Samúéil le hIosrael go léir: “Féach! rinne mé gach ar iarr sibh orm go dílis agus cheap mé rí oraibh.
1 Y Dijo Samuel á todo Israel: He aquí, yo he oído vuestra voz en todas las cosas que me habéis dicho, y os he puesto rey.
1 Da sprach Samuel zum ganzen Israel: Siehe, ich habe eurer Stimme gehorcht in allem, was ihr mir gesagt habt, und habe einen König über euch gemacht.
2 And now, see, the king is before you: and I am old and grey-headed, and my sons are with you: I have been living before your eyes from my early days till now.
2 Et maintenant, voici le roi qui marchera devant vous. Pour moi, je suis vieux, j'ai blanchi, et mes fils sont avec vous; j'ai marché à votre tête, depuis ma jeunesse jusqu'à ce jour.
2 As seo amach anois sé an rí a threoróidh sibh. Maidir liomsa, is seanóir liath mé agus tá mo chlann mhac anseo in bhur measc. Threoraigh mé sibh ó m'óige go dtí an lá inniu.
2 Ahora pues, he aquí vuestro rey va delante de vosotros. Yo soy ya viejo y cano: mas mis hijos están con vosotros, y yo he andado delante de vosotros desde mi mocedad hasta este día.
2 Und nun siehe, da zieht euer König vor euch her. Ich aber bin alt und grau geworden, und meine Söhne sind bei euch, und ich bin vor euch hergegangen von meiner Jugend auf bis auf diesen Tag.
3 Here I am: give witness against me before the Lord and before the man on whom he has put the holy oil: whose ox or ass have I taken? to whom have I been untrue? who has been crushed down by me? from whose hand have I taken a price for the blinding of my eyes? I will give it all back to you.
3 Me voici! Rendez témoignage contre moi, en présence de l'Éternel et en présence de son oint. De qui ai-je pris le boeuf et de qui ai-je pris l'âne? Qui ai-je opprimé, et qui ai-je traité durement? De qui ai-je reçu un présent, pour fermer les yeux sur lui? Je vous le rendrai.
3 Seo anseo mé! Tugaigí fianaise i m'aghaidh i láthair an Tiarna agus a ungthaigh! Ar bhain mé a dhamh d'aon duine? Ar bhain mé a asal d'aon duine? An ndearna mé calaois ar aon duine? An ndearna mé leatrom ar aon duine? Ar thóg mé breab riamh ó aon duine le mo shúile a dhalladh? [Má rinne mé] déanfaidh mé aisíoc libh.”
3 Aquí estoy; atestiguad contra mí delante de Jehová y delante de su ungido, si he tomado el buey de alguno, ó si he tomado el asno de alguno, ó si he calumniado á alguien, ó si he agraviado á alguno, ó si de alguien he tomado cohecho por el cual haya cubierto mis ojos: y os satisfaré.
3 Siehe, hier bin ich; antwortet wider mich vor dem HERRN und seinem Gesalbten, ob ich jemandes Ochsen oder Esel genommen habe? ob ich jemand habe Gewalt oder Unrecht getan? ob ich von jemandes Hand ein Geschenk genommen habe und mir die Augen blenden lassen? so will ich's euch wiedergeben.
4 And they said, You have never been untrue to us or cruel to us; you have taken nothing from any man.
4 Ils répondirent: Tu ne nous as point opprimés, et tu ne nous as point traités durement, et tu n'as rien reçu de la main de personne.
4 “Ní dhearna tú éagóir ná leatrom orainn,” ar siad, “ná níor ghlac tú le breab ó aon duine.”
4 Entonces dijeron: Nunca nos has calumniado, ni agraviado, ni has tomado algo de mano de ningún hombre.
4 Sie sprachen: Du hast uns keine Gewalt noch Unrecht getan und von niemandes Hand etwas genommen.
5 Then he said, The Lord is witness against you, and the man on whom he has put the holy oil is witness this day that you have seen no wrong in me. And they said, He is witness.
5 Il leur dit encore: L'Éternel est témoin contre vous, et son oint est témoin, en ce jour, que vous n'avez rien trouvé dans mes mains. Et ils répondirent: Ils en sont témoins.
5 Dúirt sé leo: “Nach finné é an Tiarna in bhur n‑aghaidh, agus nach finné é a ungthach inniu nach bhfuair sibh aon ní ar chúl mo ghlaice?” “Sea, is finné é,” ar siad.
5 Y él les dijo: Jehová es testigo contra vosotros, y su ungido también es testigo en este día, que no habéis hallado en mi mano cosa ninguna. Y ellos respondieron: Así es.
5 Er sprach zu ihnen: Der HERR sei Zeuge wider euch und sein Gesalbter heutigestages, daß ihr nichts in meiner Hand gefunden habt. Sie sprachen: Ja, Zeugen sollen sie sein.
6 And Samuel said to the people, The Lord is witness, who gave authority to Moses and Aaron, and who took your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
6 Alors Samuel dit au peuple: C'est l'Éternel qui a établi Moïse et Aaron, et qui a fait monter vos pères du pays d'Égypte.
6 Dúirt Samúéil ansin leis an bpobal: “An Tiarna, an té a cheap Maois agus Árón, agus a thug bhur sinsir amach as an Éigipt, [is finné é].
6 Entonces Samuel dijo al pueblo: Jehová es quien hizo á Moisés y á Aarón, y que sacó á vuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto.
6 Und Samuel sprach zum Volk: Ja, der HERR, der Mose und Aaron gemacht hat und eure Väter aus Ägyptenland geführt hat.
7 Keep your places now, while I take up the argument with you before the Lord, and give you the story of the righteousness of the Lord, which he has made clear by his acts to you and to your fathers.
7 Maintenant, présentez-vous, et je vous jugerai devant l'Éternel sur tous les bienfaits que l'Éternel vous a accordés, à vous et à vos pères.
7 Fanaigí socair in bhur seasamh ansin dá bhrí sin nó go ndéanfaidh mé áiteamh libh i láthair an Tiarna agus go gcuirfidh mé i gcuimhne daoibh na héachtaí slánaithe go léir a rinne an Tiarna ar mhaithe libh féin, agus ar mhaithe le bhur sinsir.
7 Ahora pues, aguardad, y yo os haré cargo delante de Jehová de todas las justicias de Jehová, que ha hecho con vosotros y con vuestros padres.
7 So tretet nun her, daß ich mit euch rechte vor dem HERRN über alle Wohltat des HERRN, die er an euch und euren Vätern getan hat.
8 When Jacob and his sons had come into Egypt, and were crushed by the Egyptians, the prayers of your fathers came up to the Lord, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who took your fathers out of Egypt, and he put them into this place.
8 Après que Jacob fut venu en Égypte, vos pères crièrent à l'Éternel, et l'Éternel envoya Moïse et Aaron, qui firent sortir vos pères d'Égypte et les firent habiter dans ce lieu.
8 Nuair a tháinig Iacób isteach san Éigipt [agus go ndearna na hÉigiptigh leatrom orthu], ghlaoigh bhur sinsir ar an Tiarna agus sheol sé Maois agus Árón chucu. Thugadarsan bhur sinsir as an Éigipt amach agus chuireadar chun cónaithe san áit seo iad.
8 Después que Jacob hubo entrado en Egipto y vuestros padres clamaron á Jehová, Jehová envió á Moisés y á Aarón, los cuales sacaron á vuestros padres de Egipto, y los hicieron habitar en este lugar.
8 Als Jakob nach Ägypten gekommen war, schrieen eure Väter zu dem HERRN, und er sandte Mose und Aaron, daß sie eure Väter aus Ägypten führten und sie an diesem Ort wohnen ließen.
9 But they were false to the Lord their God, and he gave them up into the hands of Sisera, captain of the army of Jabin, king of Hazor, and into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the king of Moab, who made war against them.
9 Mais ils oublièrent l'Éternel, leur Dieu; et ils les vendit entre les mains de Sisera, chef de l'armée de Hatsor, entre les mains des Philistins, et entre les mains du roi de Moab, qui leur firent la guerre.
9 Ansin rinneadar dearmad ar an Tiarna, a nDia, agus reic seisean iad isteach i lámha Shíseará, taoiseach airm Házór. Agus chomh maith i lámha na bhFilistíneach agus rí Mhóáb a bhí ag troid ina n‑aghaidh.
9 Y olvidaron á Jehová su Dios, y él los vendió en la mano de Sísara capitán del ejército de Asor, y en la mano de los Filisteos, y en la mano del rey de Moab, los cuales les hicieron guerra.
9 Aber da sie des HERRN, ihres Gottes, vergaßen, verkaufte er sie unter die Gewalt Siseras, des Feldhauptmanns zu Hazor, und unter die Gewalt der Philister und unter die Gewalt des Königs der Moabiter, die stritten wider sie.
10 Then crying out to the Lord, they said, We have done evil, because we have been turned away from the Lord, worshipping the Baals and the Astartes: but now, make us safe from those who are against us and we will be your servants.
10 Ils crièrent encore à l'Éternel, et dirent: Nous avons péché, car nous avons abandonné l'Éternel, et nous avons servi les Baals et les Astartés; délivre-nous maintenant de la main de nos ennemis, et nous te servirons.
10 Ghlaoigh siad ar an Tiarna ansin á rá: ‘Pheacaíomar, mar thréigeamar an Tiarna; rinneamar seirbhís do na Bálaím agus do na hAisteárót; ach fuascail sinn anois ó lámha ár naimhde agus déanfaimid seirbhís duit.”
10 Y ellos clamaron á Jehová, y dijeron: Pecamos, que hemos dejado á Jehová, y hemos servido á los Baales y á Astaroth: líbranos pues ahora de la mano de nuestros enemigos, y te serviremos.
10 Und sie schrieen zum HERRN und sprachen: Wir haben gesündigt, daß wir den HERRN verlassen und den Baalim und den Astharoth gedient haben; nun aber errette uns von der Hand unserer Feinde, so wollen wir dir dienen.
11 So the Lord sent Jerubbaal and Barak and Jephthah and Samuel and took you out of the power of those who were fighting against you on every side, and made you safe.
11 Et l'Éternel envoya Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthé et Samuel, et il vous délivra de la main de vos ennemis qui vous entouraient, et vous demeurâtes en sécurité.
11 Ansin sheol an Tiarna Iarubál, Bárác, Iaftá agus Samúéil. D'fhuascail sé sibh ó chumhacht bhur naimhde in bhur dtimpeall agus mhair sibh gan bhaol.
11 Entonces Jehová envió á Jero-baal, y á Bedán, y á Jephté, y á Samuel, y os libró de mano de vuestros enemigos alrededor, y habitasteis seguros.
11 Da sandte der HERR Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah und Samuel und errettete euch von eurer Feinde Händen umher und ließ euch sicher wohnen.
12 And when you saw that Nahash, the king of the Ammonites, was coming against you, you said to me, No more of this; we will have a king for our ruler: when the Lord your God was your king.
12 Puis, voyant que Nachasch, roi des fils d'Ammon, marchait contre vous, vous m'avez dit: Non! mais un roi régnera sur nous. Et cependant l'Éternel, votre Dieu, était votre roi.
12 Nuair a chonaic sibh Nácháis rí na nAmónach ag teacht do bhur n‑ionsaí, dúirt sibh liom: ‘Ní hea, ní foláir rí a bheith ag rialú orainn,’ cé gurbh é an Tiarna bhur nDia ba rí oraibh.
12 Y habiendo visto que Naas rey de lo hijos de Ammón venía contra vosotros, me dijisteis: No, sino rey reinará sobre nosotros; siendo vuestro rey Jehová vuestro Dios.
12 Da ihr aber saht, das Nahas, der König der Kinder Ammon, wider euch kam, spracht ihr zu mir: Mitnichten, sondern ein König soll über uns herrschen; so doch der HERR, euer Gott, euer König war.
13 Here, then, is the king marked out by you: the Lord has put a king over you.
13 Voici donc le roi que vous avez choisi, que vous avez demandé; voici, l'Éternel a mis sur vous un roi.
13 Anois más ea, seo é an rí a thogh sibh [agus a d'iarr sibh]. Cheap an Tiarna rí oraibh.
13 Ahora pues, ved aquí vuestro rey que habéis elegido, el cual pedisteis; ya veis que Jehová ha puesto sobre vosotros rey.
13 Nun, da habt ihr euren König, den ihr erwählt und erbeten habt; denn siehe, der HERR hat einen König über euch gesetzt.
14 If in the fear of the Lord you are his servants, hearing his voice and not going against the orders of the Lord, but being true to the Lord your God, you and the king ruling over you, then all will be well:
14 Si vous craignez l'Éternel, si vous le servez, si vous obéissez à sa voix, et si vous n'êtes point rebelles à la parole de l'Éternel, vous vous attacherez à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous et le roi qui règne sur vous.
14 Má thugann sibh urraim agus ómós don Tiarna agus géilleadh dá ghlór, agus gan ceannairc a dhéanamh i n‑aghaidh aithne an Tiarna, agus má leanann sibh féin agus an rí atá ag rialú oraibh, an Tiarna bhur nDia, beidh gach ní ina cheart.
14 Si temiereis á Jehová y le sirviereis, y oyereis su voz, y no fuereis rebeldes á la palabra de Jehová, así vosotros como el rey que reina sobre vosotros, seréis en pos de Jehová vuestro Dios.
14 Werdet ihr nun den HERRN fürchten und ihm dienen und seiner Stimme gehorchen und dem Munde des HERRN nicht ungehorsam sein, so werdet ihr und euer König, der über euch herrscht, dem HERRN, eurem Gott, folgen.
15 But if you do not give ear to the voice of the Lord, but go against his orders, then the hand of the Lord will be against you and against your king for your destruction, as it was against your fathers.
15 Mais si vous n'obéissez pas à la voix de l'Éternel, et si vous êtes rebelles à la parole de l'Éternel, la main de l'Éternel sera contre vous, comme elle a été contre vos pères.
15 Ach in ionad géilleadh do ghlór an Tiarna, má dhéanann sibh ceannairc in aghaidh a aithne, beidh a lámh in bhur n‑aghaidh agus in aghaidh bhur [rí].
15 Mas si no oyereis la voz de Jehová, y si fuereis rebeldes á las palabras de Jehová, la mano de Jehová será contra vosotros como contra vuestros padres.
15 Werdet ihr aber des HERRN Stimme nicht gehorchen, sondern seinem Munde ungehorsam sein, so wird die Hand des HERRN wider euch sein wie wider eure Väter.
16 Now keep where you are and see this great thing which the Lord will do before your eyes.
16 Attendez encore ici, et voyez le prodige que l'Éternel va opérer sous vos yeux.
16 Fanaigí in bhur seasamh ansin dá bhrí sin agus fairigí an t‑iontas mór a dhéanfaidh an Tiarna os comhair bhur súl.
16 Esperad aún ahora, y mirad esta gran cosa que Jehová hará delante de vuestros ojos.
16 Tretet auch nun her und seht das große Ding, das der HERR vor euren Augen tun wird.
17 Is it not now the time of the grain cutting? My cry will go up to the Lord and he will send thunder and rain: so that you may see and be conscious of your great sin which you have done in the eyes of the Lord in desiring a king for yourselves.
17 Ne sommes-nous pas à la moisson des blés? J'invoquerai l'Éternel, et il enverra du tonnerre et de la pluie. Sachez alors et voyez combien vous avez eu tort aux yeux de l'Éternel de demander pour vous un roi.
17 Nach é seo fómhar na cruithneachta againn inniu? Guífidh mé chun an Tiarna agus seolfaidh sé toirneach agus fearthainn; tuigigí agus feicigí a ghráiniúla de bheart a rinne sibh i láthair an Tiarna nuair a d'iarr sibh rí daoibh féin.”
17 ¿No es ahora la siega de los trigos? Yo clamaré á Jehová, y él dará truenos y aguas; para que conozcáis y veáis que es grande vuestra maldad que habéis hecho en los ojos de Jehová, pidiéndoos rey.
17 Ist nicht jetzt die Weizenernte? Ich will aber den HERRN anrufen, daß er soll donnern und regnen lassen, daß ihr innewerdet und sehen sollt das große Übel, das ihr vor des HERRN Augen getan habt, daß ihr euch einen König erbeten habt.
18 So Samuel made prayer to the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people were in fear of the Lord and of Samuel.
18 Samuel invoqua l'Éternel, et l'Éternel envoya ce même jour du tonnerre et de la pluie. Tout le peuple eut une grande crainte de l'Éternel et de Samuel.
18 Ghuigh Samúéil chun an Tiarna ansin agus sheol an Tiarna toirneach agus fearthainn an lá sin, agus bhí an pobal go léir lán d'urraim don Tiarna agus do Shamúéil.
18 Y Samuel clamó á Jehová; y Jehová dió truenos y aguas en aquel día; y todo el pueblo temió en gran manera á Jehová y á Samuel.
18 Und da Samuel den HERRN anrief, ließ der HERR donnern und regnen desselben Tages. Da fürchtete das ganze Volk sehr den HERRN und Samuel
19 And all the people said to Samuel, Make prayer for us to the Lord your God so that death may not overtake us: for in addition to all our sins we have done this evil, in desiring a king.
19 Et tout le peuple dit à Samuel: Prie l'Éternel, ton Dieu, pour tes serviteurs, afin que nous ne mourions pas; car nous avons ajouté à tous nos péchés le tort de demander pour nous un roi.
19 Agus dúirt an pobal go léir le Samúéil: “Guigh an Tiarna do Dhia ar mhaithe le do shearbhóntaí, d'fhonn nach bhfaighimis bás, óir, mar bharr ar ár bpeacaí go léir, rinneamar an choir seo rí a iarraidh dúinn féin.”
19 Entonces dijo todo el pueblo á Samuel: Ruega por tus siervos á Jehová tu Dios, que no muramos: porque á todos nuestros pecados hemos añadido este mal de pedir rey para nosotros.
19 und sprachen alle zu Samuel: Bitte für deine Knechte den HERRN, deinen Gott, daß wir nicht sterben; denn über alle unsre Sünden haben wir auch das Übel getan, daß wir uns einen König erbeten haben.
20 Then Samuel said to the people, Have no fear: truly you have done evil, but do not be turned away from the Lord; be his servants with all your heart;
20 Samuel dit au peuple: N'ayez point de crainte! Vous avez fait tout ce mal; mais ne vous détournez pas de l'Éternel, et servez l'Éternel de tout votre coeur.
20 Agus dúirt Samúéil leis an bpobal: “Ná bíodh eagla oraibh. Rinne sibh na cionta seo go léir; ach ná casaigí i leataobh ó bheith ag leanúint an Tiarna, ach déanaigí seirbhís don Tiarna ó chroí go hiomlán.
20 Y Samuel respondió al pueblo: No temáis: vosotros habéis cometido todo este mal; mas con todo eso no os apartéis de en pos de Jehová, sino servid á Jehová con todo vuestro corazón:
20 Samuel aber sprach zum Volk: Fürchtet euch nicht! Ihr habt zwar das Übel alles getan; doch weicht nicht hinter dem HERRN ab, sondern dient dem HERRN von ganzem Herzen
21 And do not go from the right way turning to those false gods in which there is no profit and no salvation, for they are false.
21 Ne vous en détournez pas; sinon, vous iriez après des choses de néant, qui n'apportent ni profit ni délivrance, parce que ce sont des choses de néant.
21 Ná casaigí i leataobh ar thóir íol baoth nach féidir dóibh cabhair ná fuascailt a thabhairt mar gur baoth iad.
21 No os apartéis en pos de las vanidades, que no aprovechan ni libran, porque son vanidades.
21 und folgt nicht dem Eitlen nach; denn es nützt nicht und kann nicht erretten, weil es ein eitel Ding ist.
22 For the Lord will not give his people up, because of the honour of his name; for it was the Lord's pleasure to make of you a people for himself.
22 L'Éternel n'abandonnera point son peuple, à cause de son grand nom, car l'Éternel a résolu de faire de vous son peuple.
22 Óir ní chaithfidh an Tiarna a phobal i leataobh ar son a ainm éachtaigh, mar ba é toil an Tiarna a phobal féin a dhéanamh díbh.
22 Pues Jehová no desamparará á su pueblo por su grande nombre: porque Jehová ha querido haceros pueblo suyo.
22 Aber der HERR verläßt sein Volk nicht um seines großen Namens willen; denn es hat dem HERRN gefallen, euch ihm selbst zum Volk zu machen.
23 And as for me, never will I go against the orders of the Lord by giving up my prayers for you: but I will go on teaching you the good and right way.
23 Loin de moi aussi de pécher contre l'Éternel, de cesser de prier pour vous! Je vous enseignerai le bon et le droit chemin.
23 Maidir liomsa, gura fada uaim peaca a dhéanamh in aghaidh an Tiarna trí scor de bheith ag guí ar bhur son agus do bhur dteagasc i slí an chirt agus na córa.
23 Así que, lejos sea de mí que peque yo contra Jehová cesando de rogar por vosotros; antes yo os enseñaré por el camino bueno y derecho.
23 Es sei aber auch ferne von mir, mich also an dem HERRN zu versündigen, daß ich sollte ablassen für euch zu beten und euch zu lehren den guten und richtigen Weg.
24 Only go in the fear of the Lord, and be his true servants with all your heart, keeping in mind what great things he has done for you.
24 Craignez seulement l'Éternel, et servez-le fidèlement de tout votre coeur; car voyez quelle puissance il déploie parmi vous.
24 Tugaigí urraim don Tiarna agus déanaigí seirbhís dó go dílis ó chroí go hiomlán, mar cuimhnigí ar na héachtaí a rinne sé in bhur measc.
24 Solamente temed á Jehová, y servidle de verdad con todo vuestro corazón, porque considerad cuán grandes cosas ha hecho con vosotros.
24 Fürchtet nur den HERRN und dient ihm treulich von ganzem Herzen; denn ihr habt gesehen wie große Dinge er an euch tut.
25 But if you still do evil, destruction will overtake you and your king.
25 Mais si vous faites le mal, vous périrez, vous et votre roi.
