1 Now the ark of the Lord was in the country of the Philistines for seven months.
1 L'arche de l'Éternel fut sept mois dans le pays des Philistins.
1 Bhí áirc an Tiarna i gcríocha na bhFilistíneach ar feadh seacht mí.
1 Y Estuvo el arca de Jehová en la tierra de los Filisteos siete meses.
1 Also war die Lade des HERRN sieben Monate im Lande der Philister.
2 And the Philistines sent for the priests and those who were wise in secret arts, and said to them, What are we to do with the ark of the Lord? How are we to send it away to its place?
2 Et les Philistins appelèrent les prêtres et les devins, et ils dirent: Que ferons-nous de l'arche de l'Éternel? Faites-nous connaître de quelle manière nous devons la renvoyer en son lieu.
2 Ansin chuir na Filistínigh fios ar a sagairt agus ar a n‑asarlaithe agus d'fhiafraíodar díobh: “Céard a dhéanfaimid le háirc an Tiarna? Insígí dúinn conas í a chur ar ais chun a háite féin!”
2 Entonces los Filisteos, llamando los sacerdotes y adivinos, preguntaron: ¿Qué haremos del arca de Jehová? Declaradnos cómo la hemos de tornar á enviar á su lugar.
2 Und die Philister riefen ihre Priester und Weissager und sprachen: Was sollen wir mit der Lade des HERRN machen? Lehrt uns, womit sollen wir sie an ihren Ort senden?
3 And they said, If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it without an offering, but send him a sin-offering with it: then you will have peace again, and it will be clear to you why the weight of his hand has not been lifted from you.
3 Ils répondirent: Si vous renvoyez l'arche du Dieu d'Israël, ne la renvoyez point à vide, mais faites à Dieu un sacrifice de culpabilité; alors vous guérirez, et vous saurez pourquoi sa main ne s'est pas retirée de dessus vous.
3 D'fhreagair siad: “Má chuireann sibh áirc Dhia Iosrael ar shiúl, ná cuirigí ar shiúl folamh í; ní foláir daoibh ofráil chiontachta a íoc leis. Ansin leigheasfar sibh agus beidh a fhios agaibh cad chuige nach gcasfadh a lámh uaibh.”
3 Y ellos dijeron: Si enviáis el arca del Dios de Israel, no la enviéis vacía; mas le pagaréis la expiación: y entonces seréis sanos, y conoceréis por qué no se apartó de vosotros su mano.
3 Sie sprachen: Wollt ihr die Lade des Gottes Israels senden, so sendet sie nicht leer, sondern sollt ihm vergelten ein Schuldopfer; so werdet ihr gesund werden und wird euch kund werden, warum seine Hand nicht von euch läßt.
4 Then they said, What sin-offering are we to send to him? And they said, Five gold images of the growths caused by your disease and five gold mice, one for every lord of the Philistines: for the same disease came on you and on your lords.
4 Les Philistins dirent: Quelle offrande lui ferons-nous? Ils répondirent: Cinq tumeurs d'or et cinq souris d'or, d'après le nombre des princes des Philistins, car une même plaie a été sur vous tous et sur vos princes.
4 D'fhiafraíodar ansin: “Cén ofráil chiontachta ar chóir dúinn a íoc leis?” D'fhreagair siad: “Dé réir líon flatha na bhFilistíneach, cúig neascóid óir agus cúig luch óir mar bhí an t‑aon phlá oraibh idir fhlatha agus uile.
4 Y ellos dijeron: ¿Y qué será la expiación que le pagaremos? Y ellos respondieron: Conforme al número de los príncipes de los Filisteos, cinco hermorroides de oro, y cinco ratones de oro, porque la misma plaga que todos tienen, tienen también vuestros príncipes.
4 Sie aber sprachen: Welches ist das Schuldopfer, das wir ihm geben sollen? Sie antworteten: Fünf goldene Beulen und fünf goldene Mäuse nach der Zahl der fünf Fürsten der Philister; denn es ist einerlei Plage gewesen über euch alle und über eure Fürsten.
5 So make images of the growths caused by your disease and of the mice which are damaging your land; and give glory to the God of Israel: it may be that the weight of his hand will be lifted from you and from your gods and from your land.
5 Faites des figures de vos tumeurs et des figures de vos souris qui ravagent le pays, et donnez gloire au Dieu d'Israël: peut-être cessera-t-il d'appesantir sa main sur vous, sur vos dieux, et sur votre pays.
5 Ní foláir daoibh dá réir sin dealbha a dheanamh de bhur neascóidí agus dealbha de na lucha atá ag creimeadh bhur dtíre, agus glóir a thabhairt do Dhia Iosrael. Ansin b'fhéidir go mbogfaidh sé a lámh díbh féin, de bhur ndéithe, agus de bhur dtír.
5 Haréis pues las formas de vuestras hemorroides, y las formas de vuestros ratones que destruyen la tierra, y daréis gloria al Dios de Israel: quizá aliviará su mano de sobre vosotros, y de sobre vuestros dioses, y de sobre vuestra tierra.
5 So müßt ihr nun machen Bilder eurer Beulen und eurer Mäuse, die euer Land verderbt haben, daß ihr dem Gott Israels die Ehre gebt; vielleicht wird seine Hand leichter werden über euch und über euren Gott und über euer Land.
6 Why do you make your hearts hard, like the hearts of Pharaoh and the Egyptians? When he had made sport of them, did they not let the people go, and they went away?
6 Pourquoi endurciriez-vous votre coeur, comme les Égyptiens et Pharaon ont endurci leur coeur? N'exerça-t-il pas ses châtiments sur eux, et ne laissèrent-ils pas alors partir les enfants d'Israël?
6 Cad ab áil libh ag cruachan bhur gcroí, faoi mar a chruaigh na hÉigiptigh agus Forann a gcroí? Tar éis dó magadh fúthu, nár scaoileadar leis an bpobal agus nár imíodarsan?
6 Mas ¿por qué endurecéis vuestro corazón, como los Egipcios y Faraón endurecieron su corazón? Después que los hubo así tratado, ¿no los dejaron que se fuesen, y se fueron?
6 Warum verstockt ihr euer Herz, wie die Ägypter und Pharao ihr Herz verstockten? Ist's nicht also: da er seine Macht an ihnen bewies, ließen sie sie fahren, daß sie hingingen?
7 So now, take and make ready a new cart, and two cows which have never come under the yoke, and have the cows yoked to the cart, and take their young ones away from them:
7 Maintenant, faites un char tout neuf, et prenez deux vaches qui allaitent et qui n'aient point porté le joug; attelez les vaches au char, et ramenez à la maison leurs petits qui sont derrière elles.
7 Cóirigí carr nua dá bhrí sin agus dhá loilíoch nach ndeachaigh riamh faoin gcuing. Gabhaigí na ba faoin gcarr agus tugaigí a laonna abhaile uathu.
7 Haced pues ahora un carro nuevo, y tomad luego dos vacas que críen, á las cuales no haya sido puesto yugo, y uncid las vacas al carro, y haced tornar de detrás de ellas sus becerros á casa.
7 So nehmet nun und machet einen neuen Wagen und zwei junge, säugende Kühe, auf die noch nie ein Joch gekommen ist, und spannt sie an den Wagen und laßt ihre Kälber hinter ihnen daheim bleiben.
8 And put the ark of the Lord on the cart, and the gold images which you are sending as a sin-offering in a chest by its side; and send it away so that it may go.
8 Vous prendrez l'arche de l'Éternel, et vous la mettrez sur le char; vous placerez à côté d'elle, dans un coffre, les objets d'or que vous donnez à l'Éternel en offrande pour le péché; puis vous la renverrez, et elle partira.
8 Ansin tógaigí áirc an Tiarna, leagaigí ar an gcarr í, agus cuirigí na dealbha óir atá á n‑íoc agaibh dó mar ofráil chiontachta i gcófra lena hais. Ansin scaoiligí léi agus ligigí di imeacht léi.
8 Tomaréis luego el arca de Jehová, y la pondréis sobre el carro; y poned en una caja al lado de ella las alhajas de oro que le pagáis en expiación: y la dejaréis que se vaya.
8 Und nehmet die Lade des HERRN und legt sie auf den Wagen; und die goldenen Kleinode, die ihr ihm zum Schuldopfer gebet, tut in ein Kästlein neben ihre Seite. Und sendet sie hin und laßt sie gehen.
9 If it goes by the land of Israel to Beth-shemesh, then this great evil is his work; but if not, then we may be certain that the evil was not his doing, but was the working of chance.
9 Suivez-la du regard: si elle monte par le chemin de sa frontière vers Beth Schémesch, c'est l'Éternel qui nous a fait ce grand mal; sinon, nous saurons que ce n'est pas sa main qui nous a frappés, mais que cela nous est arrivé par hasard.
9 Bíodh súil agaibh uirthi; má théann sí an bóthar suas i dtreo a dúiche féin, go Béit Seimis, ansin eisean a rinne an urchóid mhór seo dúinn; ach mura dtéann, ansin beidh a fhios againn nárbh í a lámh a luigh orainn, ach gur de thaisme a d'éirigh sé seo dúinn.”
9 Y mirad: si sube por el camino de su término á Beth-semes, él nos ha hecho este mal tan grande; y si no, seremos ciertos que su mano no nos hirió, nos ha sido accidente.
9 Und sehet zu: geht sie hin auf dem Weg ihrer Grenze gen Beth-Semes, so hat er uns all das große Übel getan; wo nicht, so werden wir wissen, daß sein Hand uns nicht gerührt hat, sondern es ist uns ungefähr widerfahren.
10 And the men did so; they took two cows, yoking them to the cart and shutting up their young ones in their living-place:
10 Ces gens firent ainsi. Ils prirent deux vaches qui allaitaient et les attelèrent au char, et ils enfermèrent les petits dans la maison.
10 Rinne na daoine amhlaidh. Thugadar leo an dá loilíoch, agus ghabhadar faoin gcarr iad, agus dhún ar a laonna sa bhaile.
10 Y aquellos hombres lo hicieron así; pues tomando dos vacas que criaban, unciéronlas al carro, y encerraron en casa sus becerros.
10 Die Leute taten also und nahmen zwei junge, säugende Kühe und spannten sie an den Wagen und behielten ihre Kälber daheim
11 And they put the ark of the Lord on the cart and the chest with the gold images.
11 Ils mirent sur le char l'arche de l'Éternel, et le coffre avec les souris d'or et les figures de leurs tumeurs.
11 Leagadar áirc an Tiarna ansin ar an gcarr, leis an gcófra, na lucha óir agus dealbha na neascóidí.
11 Luego pusieron el arca de Jehová sobre el carro, y la caja con los ratones de oro y con las formas de sus hemorroides.
11 und legten die Lade des HERR auf den Wagen und das Kästlein mit den goldenen Mäusen und mit den Bildern ihrer Beulen.
12 And the cows took the straight way, by the road to Beth-shemesh; they went by the highway, not turning to the right or to the left, and the sound of their voices was clear on the road; and the lords of the Philistines went after them as far as the edge of Beth-shemesh.
12 Les vaches prirent directement le chemin de Beth Schémesch; elles suivirent toujours la même route en mugissant, et elles ne se détournèrent, ni à droite ni à gauche. Les princes des Philistins allèrent derrière elles jusqu'à la frontière de Beth Schémesch.
12 Ghabh na ba caol díreach i dtreo Bhéit Seimis, ar feadh an bhóthair, iad ag géimneach ar an tslí gan casadh ar dheis ná ar chlé. Lean flatha na bhFilistíneach iad chomh fada le teorainneacha Bhéit Seimis. An Áirc i mBéit Seimis
12 Y las vacas se encaminaron por el camino de Beth-semes, é iban por un mismo camino andando y bramando, sin apartarse ni á diestra ni á siniestra: y los príncipes de los Filisteos fueron tras ellas hasta el término de Beth-semes.
12 Und die Kühe gingen geradewegs auf Beth-Semes zu auf einer Straße und gingen und blökten und wichen nicht weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken; und die Fürsten der Philister gingen ihnen nach bis an die Grenze von Beth-Semes.
13 And the people of Beth-shemesh were cutting their grain in the valley, and lifting up their eyes they saw the ark and were full of joy when they saw it.
13 Les habitants de Beth Schémesch moissonnaient les blés dans la vallée; ils levèrent les yeux, aperçurent l'arche, et se réjouirent en la voyant.
13 Bhí muintir Bhéit Seimis ag baint fómhar na cruithneachta sa ghleann: d'ardaíodar a súile agus chonaiceadar an áirc agus chuir an radharc sin lúcháir orthu.
13 Y los de Beth-semes segaban el trigo en el valle; y alzando sus ojos vieron el arca, y holgáronse cuando la vieron.
13 Die Beth-Semiter aber schnitten eben in der Weizenernte im Grund, und hoben ihre Augen auf und sahen die Lade und freuten sich, sie zu sehen.
14 And the cart came into the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite, and came to a stop there by a great stone: and cutting up the wood of the cart they made a burned offering of the cows to the Lord.
14 Le char arriva dans le champ de Josué de Beth Schémesch, et s'y arrêta. Il y avait là une grande pierre. On fendit le bois du char, et l'on offrit les vaches en holocauste à l'Éternel.
14 Tháinig an carr isteach i ngort Iósua ó Bhéit Seimis, agus stad sé ansin. Bhí gallán ansiúd agus bhris na daoine adhmad an chairr agus d'ofráil siad na ba mar íobairt uileloiscthe don Tiarna.
14 Y el carro vino al campo de Josué Beth-semita, y paró allí porque allí había una gran piedra; y ellos cortaron la madera del carro, y ofrecieron las vacas en holocausto á Jehová.
14 Der Wagen aber kam auf den Acker Josuas, des Beth-Semiters, und stand daselbst still. Und war ein großer Stein daselbst. Und sie spalteten das Holz vom Wagen und opferten die Kühe dem HERRN zum Brandopfer.
15 Then the Levites took down the ark of the Lord and the chest in which were the gold images, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh made burned offerings and gave worship that day before the Lord.
15 Les Lévites descendirent l'arche de l'Éternel, et le coffre qui était à côté d'elle et qui contenait les objets d'or; et ils posèrent le tout sur la grande pierre. Les gens de Beth Schémesch offrirent en ce jour des holocaustes et des sacrifices à l'Éternel.
15 Thóg na Léivítigh áirc an Tiarna anuas, agus an cófra, leis na dealbha óir ann, a bhí ina haice, agus leag siad an meid sin go léir ar an ngallán. D'ofráil muintir Bhéit Seimis ofrálacha uileloiscthe, agus d'íobair íobairtí, an lá sin don Tiarna.
15 Y los Levitas bajaron el arca de Jehová, y la caja que estaba junto á ella, en la cual estaban las alhajas de oro, y pusiéronlas sobre aquella gran piedra; y los hombre de Beth-semes sacrificaron holocaustos y mataron víctimas á Jehová en aquel día.
15 Die Leviten aber hoben die Lade des HERRN herab und das Kästlein, das obendran war, darin die goldenen Kleinode waren, und setzten sie auf den großen Stein. Aber die Leute zu Beth-Semes opferten dem HERRN desselben Tages Brandopfer und andere Opfer.
16 And the five lords of the Philistines, having seen it, went back to Ekron the same day.
16 Les cinq princes des Philistins, après avoir vu cela, retournèrent à Ékron le même jour.
16 Nuair a chonaic cúigear flatha na bhFilistíneach é sin, d'fhill siad ar Eacrón an lá céanna.
16 Lo cual viendo los cinco príncipes de los Filisteos, volviéronse á Ecrón el mismo día.
16 Da aber die fünf Fürsten der Philister zugesehen hatten, zogen sie wiederum gen Ekron desselben Tages.
17 Now these are the gold images which the Philistines sent as a sin-offering to the Lord; one for Ashdod, one for Gaza, one for Ashkelon, one for Gath, one for Ekron;
17 Voici les tumeurs d'or que les Philistins donnèrent à l'Éternel en offrande pour le péché: une pour Asdod, une pour Gaza, une pour Askalon, une pour Gath, une pour Ékron.
17 Ba iad seo na neascóidí óir a d'íoc na Filistínigh mar íobairt chiontachta don Tiarna: ceann ar son Aisdeod, ceann ar son Ghazá, ceann ar son Aiscileon, ceann ar son Ghat, ceann ar son Eacrón;
17 Estas pues son las hemorroides de oro que pagaron los Filisteos á Jehová en expiación: por Asdod una, por Gaza una, por Ascalón una, por Gath una, por Ecrón una;
17 Dies sind aber die goldenen Beulen, die die Philister dem HERRN zum Schuldopfer gaben: Sadod eine, Gaza eine, Askalon eine, Gath eine und Ekron eine;
18 And the gold mice, one for every town of the Philistines, the property of the five lords, walled towns as well as country places: and the great stone where they put the ark of the Lord is still in the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite to this day.
18 Il y avait aussi des souris d'or selon le nombre de toutes les villes des Philistins, appartenant aux cinq chefs, tant des villes fortifiées que des villages sans murailles. C'est ce qu'atteste la grande pierre sur laquelle on déposa l'arche de l'Éternel, et qui est encore aujourd'hui dans le champ de Josué de Beth Schémesch.
18 mar an gcéanna le dealbha na luch de réir líon cathracha Filistíneacha uile na gcúig flatha, idir chathracha daingne agus bhailte gan chosaint. An gallán mór ar ar leagadar áirc an Tiarna, is finné é go dtí an lá inniu i ngort Iósua ó Bhéit Seimis.
18 Y ratones de oro conforme al número de todas las ciudades de los Filisteos pertenecientes á los cinco príncipes, desde las ciudades fuertes hasta las aldeas sin muro; y hasta la gran piedra sobre la cual pusieron el arca de Jehová, piedra que está en el campo de Josué Beth-semita hasta hoy.
18 und die goldenen Mäuse nach der Zahl aller Städte der Philister unter den fünf Fürsten, der gemauerten Städte und der Dörfer. Und Zeuge ist der große Stein, darauf sie die Lade des HERRN ließen, bis auf diesen Tag auf dem Acker Josuas, des Beth-Semiters.
19 But the Lord sent destruction on seventy men of the people of Beth-shemesh for looking into the ark of the Lord; and great was the sorrow of the people for the destruction which the Lord had sent on them.
19 L'Éternel frappa les gens de Beth Schémesch, lorsqu'ils regardèrent l'arche de l'Éternel; il frappa cinquante mille soixante-dix hommes parmi le peuple. Et le peuple fut dans la désolation, parce que l'Éternel l'avait frappé d'une grande plaie.
19 Mharaigh sé cuid de mhuintir Bhéit Seimis mar gur fhéachadar isteach in áirc an Tiarna; mharaigh sé deichniúr agus trí fichid díobh. Rinne an pobal olagón mar gur bhuail an Tiarna chomh dian iad.
19 Entonces hirió Dios á los de Beth-semes, porque habían mirado en el arca de Jehová; hirió en el pueblo cincuenta mil y setenta hombres. Y el pueblo puso luto, porque Jehová le había herido de tan gran plaga.
19 Und etliche zu Beth-Semes wurden geschlagen, darum daß sie die Lade des HERRN angesehen hatten. Und er schlug des Volks siebzig Mann (fünfzigtausendund siebzig). Da trug das Volk Leid, daß der HERR so eine große Schlacht im Volk getan hatte.
20 And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to keep his place before the Lord, this holy God? and to whom may he go from us?
20 Les gens de Beth Schémesch dirent: Qui peut subsister en présence de l'Éternel, de ce Dieu saint? Et vers qui l'arche doit-elle monter, en s'éloignant de nous?
20 Dúirt muintir Bhéit Seimis ansin: “Cé a fhéadfaidh seasamh i láthair an Tiarna an Dia naofa seo? Cé chuige a rachaidh sé suas uainne?”
20 Y dijeron los de Beth-semes: ¿Quién podrá estar delante de Jehová el Dios santo? ¿y á quién subirá desde nosotros?
20 Und die Leute zu Beth-Semes sprachen: Wer kann stehen vor dem HERRN, solchem heiligen Gott? Und zu wem soll er von uns ziehen?
21 And they sent men to the people living in Kiriath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have sent back the ark of the Lord; come and take it up to your country.
21 Ils envoyèrent des messagers aux habitants de Kirjath Jearim, pour leur dire: Les Philistins ont ramené l'arche de l'Éternel; descendez, et faites-la monter vers vous.
