1 Now the Philistines, having taken the ark of God, took it with them from Eben-ezer to Ashdod.
1 Les Philistins prirent l'arche de Dieu, et ils la transportèrent d'Ében Ézer à Asdod.
1 Nuair a ghabh na Filistínigh áirc Dé, thugadar leo í ó Eibin Eizir go hAisdeod.
1 Y Los Filisteos, tomada el arca de Dios, trajéronla desde Eben-ezer á Asdod.
1 Die Philister aber nahmen die Lade Gottes und brachten sie von Eben-Ezer gen Asdod
2 They took the ark of God into the house of Dagon and put it by the side of Dagon.
2 Après s'être emparés de l'arche de Dieu, les Philistins la firent entrer dans la maison de Dagon et la placèrent à côté de Dagon.
2 Thugadar leo áirc Dé agus d'iompraíodar isteach i dteampall Dhágón í, agus chuireadar síos í láimh le Dágón.
2 Y tomaron los Filisteos el arca de Dios, y metiéronla en la casa de Dagón, y pusiéronla junto á Dagón.
2 in das Haus Dagons und stellten sie neben Dagon.
3 And when the people of Ashdod got up early on the morning after, they saw that Dagon had come down to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon up and put him in his place again.
3 Le lendemain, les Asdodiens, qui s'étaient levés de bon matin, trouvèrent Dagon étendu la face contre terre, devant l'arche de l'Éternel. Ils prirent Dagon, et le remirent à sa place.
3 D'éirigh muintir Aisdeod go luath lá arna mhárach [agus chuadar go teampall Dhágón]; ba shiúd Dágón béal faoi ar an urlár os comhair áirc an Tiarna. D'ardaíodar Dágón agus chuir siad ar ais ina áit é.
3 Y el siguiente día los de Asdod se levantaron de mañana, y he aquí Dagón postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová: y tomaron á Dagón, y volviéronlo á su lugar.
3 Und da die von Asdod des andern Morgens früh aufstanden, fanden sie Dagon auf seinem Antlitz liegen auf der Erde vor der Lade des HERRN. Aber sie nahmen den Dagon und setzten ihn wieder an seinen Ort.
4 And when they got up early on the morning after, Dagon had come down to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord; and his head and his hands were broken off on the doorstep; only the base was in its place.
4 Le lendemain encore, s'étant levés de bon matin, ils trouvèrent Dagon étendu la face contre terre, devant l'arche de l'Éternel; la tête de Dagon et ses deux mains étaient abattues sur le seuil, et il ne lui restait que le tronc.
4 Ach nuair a d'éiríodar go moch lá arna mhárach, ba shiúd é Dágón béal faoi arís ar an urlár os comhair áirc an Tiarna, agus ceann Dhágón agus a dhá láimh briste de agus caite ar an tairseach; ní raibh fágtha de ach cabhail Dhágón.
4 Y tornándose á levantar de mañana el siguiente día, he aquí que Dagón había caído postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová; y la cabeza de Dagón, y las dos palmas de sus manos estaban cortadas sobre el umbral, habiéndole quedado á Dagón el tronco solamente.
4 Da sie aber des andern Morgens früh aufstanden, fanden sie Dagon abermals auf seinem Antlitz liegen auf der Erde vor der Lade des HERRN, aber sein Haupt und seine beiden Hände waren abgehauen auf der Schwelle, daß der Rumpf allein dalag.
5 So to this day no priest of Dagon, or any who come into Dagon's house, will put his foot on the doorstep of the house of Dagon in Ashdod.
5 C'est pourquoi jusqu'à ce jour, les prêtres de Dagon et tous ceux qui entrent dans la maison de Dagon à Asdod ne marchent point sur le seuil.
5 Sin é an fáth nach ndéanann sagairt Dhágón ná aon duine eile a théann isteach i dteampall Dhágón, cos a leagan ar thairseach Dhágón in Aisdeod go dtí an lá inniu féin.
5 Por esta causa los sacerdotes de Dagón, y todos los que en el templo de Dagón entran, no pisan el umbral de Dagón en Asdod, hasta hoy.
5 Darum treten die Priester Dagons und alle, die in Dagons Haus gehen, nicht auf die Schwelle Dagons zu Asdod bis auf diesen Tag.
6 But the hand of the Lord was hard on the people of Ashdod and he sent disease on them through all the country of Ashdod.
6 La main de l'Éternel s'appesantit sur les Asdodiens, et il mit la désolation parmi eux; il les frappa d'hémorroïdes à Asdod et dans son territoire.
6 Luigh lámh an Tiarna go trom ar phobal Aisdeod agus chuir scéin orthu le neascóidí ar fud Aisdeod agus a chríocha.
6 Empero agravóse la mano de Jehová sobre los de Asdod, y destruyólos, é hiriólos con hemorroides en Asdod y en todos sus términos.
6 Aber die Hand des HERRN war schwer über die von Asdod und verderbte sie und schlug sie mit bösen Beulen, Asdod und sein Gebiet.
7 And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, Let not the ark of the God of Israel be with us, for his hand is hard on us and on Dagon our god.
7 Voyant qu'il en était ainsi, les gens d'Asdod dirent: L'arche du Dieu d'Israël ne restera pas chez nous, car il appesantit sa main sur nous et sur Dagon, notre dieu.
7 Nuair a chonaic muintir Aisdeod conas mar a bhí, dúradar: “Ná fanadh áirc Dhia Iosrael inár measc mar tá a lámh ag luí go trom orainn féin agus ar Dhágón ár ndia.”
7 Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.
7 Da aber die Leute zu Asdod sahen, daß es so zuging, sprachen sie: Laßt die Lade des Gottes Israels nicht bei uns bleiben; denn seine Hand ist zu hart über uns und unserm Gott Dagon.
8 So they sent for all the lords of the Philistines to come together there, and said, What are we to do with the ark of the God of Israel? And their answer was, Let the ark of the God of Israel be taken away to Gath. So they took the ark of the God of Israel away.
8 Et ils firent chercher et assemblèrent auprès d'eux tous les princes des Philistins, et ils dirent: Que ferons-nous de l'arche du Dieu d'Israël? Les princes répondirent: Que l'on transporte à Gath l'arche du Dieu d'Israël. Et l'on y transporta l'arche du Dieu d'Israël.
8 Chuir siad teachtairí amach dá bhrí sin agus ghairm siad ceannairí uile na bhFilistíneach chucu, agus dúirt leo: “Cad a dhéanfaimid le háirc Dhia Iosrael?” D'fhreagair siadsan: “Tugtar áirc Dhia Iosrael ar shiúl go Gat.” Thugadar más ea áirc Dhia Iosrael ansiúd.
8 Enviaron pues á juntar á sí todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, y dijeron: ¿Qué haremos del arca del Dios de Israel? Y ellos respondieron: Pásese el arca del Dios de Israel á Gath. Y pasaron allá el arca del Dios de Israel.
8 Und sie sandten hin und versammelten alle Fürsten der Philister zu sich und sprachen: Was sollen wir mit der Lade des Gottes Israels machen? Da antworteten sie: Laßt die Lade des Gottes Israels nach Gath tragen. Und sie trugen die Lade des Gottes Israels dahin.
9 But after they had taken it away, the hand of the Lord was stretched out against the town for its destruction: and the signs of disease came out on all the men of the town, small and great.
9 Mais après qu'elle eut été transportée, la main de l'Éternel fut sur la ville, et il y eut une très grande consternation; il frappa les gens de la ville depuis le petit jusqu'au grand, et ils eurent une éruption d'hémorroïdes.
9 Ach nuair a bhí sí tugtha ansiúd, luigh lámh an Tiarna go trom ar an gcathair sin agus tháinig scéin agus sceimhle ar na daoine; bhuail neascóidí muintir na cathrach, idir óg agus aosta, mar go raibh an Tiarna á gciapadh mar sin.
9 Y aconteció que como la hubieron pasado, la mano de Jehová fué contra la ciudad con grande quebrantamiento; é hirió los hombres de aquella ciudad desde el chico hasta el grande, que se llenaron de hemorroides.
9 Da sie aber dieselbe dahin getragen hatten, ward durch die Hand des HERRN in der Stadt ein sehr großer Schrecken, und er schlug die Leute in der Stadt, beide, klein und groß, also daß an ihnen Beulen ausbrachen.
10 So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And when the ark of God came to Ekron, the people of the town made an outcry, saying, They have sent the ark of the God of Israel to us for the destruction of us and of our people.
10 Alors ils envoyèrent l'arche de Dieu à Ékron. Lorsque l'arche de Dieu entra dans Ékron, les Ékroniens poussèrent des cris, en disant: On a transporté chez nous l'arche du Dieu d'Israël, pour nous faire mourir, nous et notre peuple!
10 Sheoladar áirc Dé go hEacrón, ach nuair a shroich áirc Dé Eacrón, rinne muintir Eacrón liú: “Thugadar áirc Dhia Iosrael chugainn d'fhonn an bás a thabhairt orainn féin agus ar ár muintir.”
10 Entonces enviaron el arca de Dios á Ecrón. Y como el arca de Dios vino á Ecrón, los Ecronitas dieron voces diciendo: Han pasado á mí el arca del Dios de Israel por matarme á mí y á mi pueblo.
10 Da sandten sie die Lade des HERRN gen Ekron. Da aber die Lade Gottes gen Ekron kam, schrieen die von Ekron: Sie haben die Lade Gottes hergetragen zu mir, daß sie mich töte und mein Volk.
11 So they sent and got together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its place, so that it may not be the cause of death to us and to our people: for there was a great fear of death through all the town; the hand of God was very hard on them there.
11 Et ils firent chercher et assemblèrent tous les princes des Philistins, et ils dirent: Renvoyez l'arche du Dieu d'Israël; qu'elle retourne en son lieu, et qu'elle ne nous fasse pas mourir, nous et notre peuple. Car il y avait dans toute la ville une terreur mortelle; la main de Dieu s'y appesantissait fortement.
11 Chuir siad teachtairí amach dá bhrí sin, agus ghairm siad ceannairí uile na bhFilistíneach chucu agus dúirt leo: “Cuir áirc Dhia Iosrael chun siúil; téadh sí ar ais chun a háite féin, chun nach maróidh sí sinn féin agus ár muintir” - óir bhí scéin agus uafás ar fud na cathrach go léir; luigh lámh Dé go trom ansiúd.
11 Y enviaron á juntar todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, diciendo: Despachad el arca del Dios de Israel, y tórnese á su lugar, y no mate á mí ni á mi pueblo: porque había quebrantamiento de muerte en toda la ciudad, y la mano de Dios se había allí agravado.
11 Da sandten sie hin und versammelten alle Fürsten der Philister und sprachen: Sendet die Lade des Gottes Israels wieder an ihren Ort, daß sie mich und mein Volk nicht töte. Denn die Hand Gottes machte einen sehr großen Schrecken mit Würgen in der ganzen Stadt.
12 And those men who were not overtaken by death were cruelly diseased: and the cry of the town went up to heaven.
12 Les gens qui ne mouraient pas étaient frappés d'hémorroïdes, et les cris de la ville montaient jusqu'au ciel.
