1 Now the young Samuel was the servant of the Lord before Eli. In those days the Lord kept his word secret from men; there was no open vision.
1 Le jeune Samuel était au service de l'Éternel devant Éli. La parole de l'Éternel était rare en ce temps-là, les visions n'étaient pas fréquentes.
1 Bhí an gasúr Samúéil ag fónamh don Tiarna i láthair Éilí. Is annamh a bhíodh focal ón Tiarna sna laethanta sin, agus is annamh a d'fheictí físeanna.
1 Y El joven Samuel ministraba á Jehová delante de Eli: y la palabra de Jehová era de estima en aquellos días; no había visión manifiesta.
1 Und da Samuel, der Knabe, dem HERRN diente unter Eli, war des HERRN Wort teuer zu derselben Zeit, und war wenig Weissagung.
2 And at that time, when Eli was resting in his place, (now his eyes were becoming clouded so that he was not able to see,)
2 En ce même temps, Éli, qui commençait à avoir les yeux troubles et ne pouvait plus voir, était couché à sa place,

2 Y aconteció un día, que estando Eli acostado en su aposento, cuando sus ojos comenzaban á oscurecerse, que no podía ver,
2 Und es begab sich, zur selben Zeit lag Eli an seinem Ort, und seine Augen fingen an, dunkel zu werden, daß er nicht sehen konnte.
3 And the light of God was still burning, while Samuel was sleeping in the Temple of the Lord where the ark of God was,
3 la lampe de Dieu n'était pas encore éteinte, et Samuel était couché dans le temple de l'Éternel, où était l'arche de Dieu.
3 Ní raibh lóchrann Dé imithe as fós, agus bhí Samúéil ina luí i dteampall an Tiarna mar a raibh áirc Dé.
3 Samuel estaba durmiendo en el templo de Jehová, donde el arca de Dios estaba: y antes que la lámpara de Dios fuese apagada,
3 Und Samuel hatte sich gelegt im Tempel des HERRN, da die Lade Gottes war, und die Lampe Gottes war noch nicht verloschen.
4 The voice of the Lord said Samuel's name; and he said, Here am I.
4 Alors l'Éternel appela Samuel. Il répondit: Me voici!
4 Ansin ghlaoigh an Tiarna: “A Shamúéil!” D'fhreagair seisean: “Seo anseo mé,”
4 Jehová llamó á Samuel; y él respondió: Heme aquí.
4 Und der HERR rief Samuel. Er aber antwortete: Siehe, hier bin ich!
5 And running to Eli he said, Here am I, for you said my name. And Eli said, I did not say your name; go to your rest again. So he went back to his bed.
5 Et il courut vers Éli, et dit: Me voici, car tu m'as appelé. Éli répondit: Je n'ai point appelé; retourne te coucher. Et il alla se coucher.
5 agus rith sé leis go dtí Éilí agus dúirt: “Seo anseo mé, mar ghlaoigh tú orm.” Ach dúirt seisean: “Níor ghlaoigh mé ort; luigh síos arís.” D'imigh sé mar sin, agus luigh síos.
5 Y corriendo luego á Eli, dijo: Heme aquí; ¿para qué me llamaste? Y Eli le dijo: Yo no he llamado; vuélvete á acostar. Y él se volvió, y acostóse.
5 und lief zu Eli und sprach: Siehe, hier bin ich! du hast mich gerufen. Er aber sprach: Ich habe dich nicht gerufen; gehe wieder hin und lege dich schlafen. Und er ging hin und legte sich schlafen.
6 And again the Lord said, Samuel. And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, Here am I; for you certainly said my name. But he said in answer, I said nothing, my son; go to your rest again.
6 L'Éternel appela de nouveau Samuel. Et Samuel se leva, alla vers Éli, et dit: Me voici, car tu m'as appelé. Éli répondit: Je n'ai point appelé, mon fils, retourne te coucher.
6 Ghlaoigh an Tiarna arís. “A Shamúéil!” D'éirigh Samúéil agus chuaigh go dtí Éilí agus dúirt: “Seo anseo mé mar ghlaoigh tú orm.” Agus d'fhreagair seisean: “Níor ghlaoigh mé ort, a mhic; luigh síos arís.”
6 Y Jehová volvió á llamar otra vez á Samuel. Y levantándose Samuel vino á Eli, y dijo: Heme aquí; ¿para qué me has llamado? Y él dijo: Hijo mío, yo no he llamado; vuelve, y acuéstate.
6 Der HERR rief abermals: Samuel! Und Samuel stand auf und ging zu Eli und sprach: Siehe, hier bin ich! du hast mich gerufen. Er aber sprach: Ich habe nicht gerufen, mein Sohn; gehe wieder hin und lege dich schlafen.
7 Now at that time Samuel had no knowledge of the Lord, and the revelation of the word of the Lord had not come to him.
7 Samuel ne connaissait pas encore l'Éternel, et la parole de l'Éternel ne lui avait pas encore été révélée.
7 Ní raibh aon aithne fós ag Samúéil ar an Tiarna, ná níor foilsíodh briathar an Tiarna dó fós.
7 Y Samuel no había conocido aún á Jehová, ni la palabra de Jehová le había sido revelada.
7 Aber Samuel kannte den HERRN noch nicht, und des HERRN Wort war ihm noch nicht offenbart.
8 And for the third time the Lord said Samuel's name. And he got up and went to Eli and said, Here am I; for you certainly said my name. Then it was clear to Eli that the voice which had said the child's name was the Lord's.
8 L'Éternel appela de nouveau Samuel, pour la troisième fois. Et Samuel se leva, alla vers Éli, et dit: Me voici, car tu m'as appelé. Éli comprit que c'était l'Éternel qui appelait l'enfant,
8 Ghlaoigh an Tiarna ar Shamúéil den tríú huair. D'éirigh seisean agus chuaigh go dtí Éilí agus dúirt: “Seo anseo mé, mar ghlaoigh tú orm.” Thuig Éilí ansin gurbh é an Tiarna a bhí ag glaoch ar an ngasúr.
8 Jehová pues llamó la tercera vez á Samuel. Y él levantándose vino á Eli, y dijo: Heme aquí; ¿para qué me has llamado? Entonces entendió Eli que Jehová llamaba al joven.
8 Und der HERR rief Samuel wieder, zum drittenmal. Und er stand auf und ging zu Eli und sprach: Siehe, hier bin ich! du hast mich gerufen. Da merkte Eli, daß der HERR den Knaben rief,
9 So Eli said to Samuel, Go back: and if the voice comes again, let your answer be, Say on, Lord; for the ears of your servant are open. So Samuel went back to his bed.
9 et il dit à Samuel: Va, couche-toi; et si l'on t'appelle, tu diras: Parle, Éternel, car ton serviteur écoute. Et Samuel alla se coucher à sa place.
9 Dúirt sé le Samúéil: “Imigh agus luigh síos, agus má ghlaonn aon duine ort abair: ‘Labhair, a Thiarna, tá do sheirbhíseach ag éisteacht.’ ” D'imigh Samúéil mar sin agus luigh sé síos ina áit féin.
9 Y dijo Eli á Samuel: Ve, y acuéstate: y si te llamare, dirás: Habla, Jehová, que tu siervo oye. Así se fué Samuel, y acostóse en su lugar.
9 und sprach zu ihm: Gehe wieder hin und lege dich schlafen; und so du gerufen wirst, so sprich: Rede, HERR, denn dein Knecht hört. Samuel ging hin und legte sich an seinen Ort.
10 Then the Lord came and said as before, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel made answer, Say on, Lord; for the ears of your servant are open.
10 L'Éternel vint et se présenta, et il appela comme les autres fois: Samuel, Samuel! Et Samuel répondit: Parle, car ton serviteur écoute.
10 Tháinig an Tiarna ansin agus sheas ansiúd agus ghlaoigh mar a rinne roimhe sin: “A Shamúéil! A Shamúéil!” D'fhreagair Samúéil: “Labhair, tá do sheirbhíseach ag éisteacht.”
10 Y vino Jehová, y paróse, y llamó como las otras veces: ¡Samuel, Samuel! Entonces Samuel dijo: Habla, que tu siervo oye.
10 Da kam der HERR und trat dahin und rief wie vormals: Samuel, Samuel! Und Samuel sprach: Rede, denn dein Knecht hört.
11 And the Lord said to Samuel, See, I will do a thing in Israel at which the ears of everyone hearing of it will be burning.
11 Alors l'Éternel dit à Samuel: Voici, je vais faire en Israël une chose qui étourdira les oreilles de quiconque l'entendra.
11 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Samúéil: “Táim ar tí beart a dhéanamh in Iosrael a chuirfidh cigilteas ar dhá chluais gach duine a chluinfidh é.
11 Y Jehová dijo á Samuel: He aquí haré yo una cosa en Israel, que á quien la oyere, le retiñirán ambos oídos.
11 Und der HERR sprach zu Samuel: Siehe, ich tue ein Ding in Israel, daß, wer das hören wird, dem werden seine beiden Ohren gellen.
12 In that day I will do to Eli everything which I have said about his family, from first to last.
12 En ce jour j'accomplirai sur Éli tout ce que j'ai prononcé contre sa maison; je commencerai et j'achèverai.
12 Cuirfidh mé i gcrích an lá sin in aghaidh Éilí gach rud atá ráite agam i dtaobh a theaghlaigh, ó thús deireadh.
12 Aquel día yo despertaré contra Eli todas las cosas que he dicho sobre su casa. En comenzando, acabaré también.
12 An dem Tage will ich erwecken über Eli, was ich wider sein Haus geredet habe; ich will's anfangen und vollenden.
13 And you are to say to him that I will send punishment on his family for ever, for the sin which he had knowledge of; because his sons have been cursing God and he had no control over them.
13 Je lui ai déclaré que je veux punir sa maison à perpétuité, à cause du crime dont il a connaissance, et par lequel ses fils se sont rendus méprisables, sans qu'il les ait réprimés.
13 Ní foláir duit a insint dó go bhfuil a theaghlach á dhaoradh agam go brách, mar go raibh fios an oilc aige go raibh a chlann ag aithsiú Dé agus nár cheartaigh sé iad.
13 Y mostraréle que yo juzgaré su casa para siempre, por la iniquidad que él sabe; porque sus hijos se han envilecido, y él no los ha estorbado.
13 Denn ich habe es ihm angesagt, daß ich Richter sein will über sein Haus ewiglich um der Missetat willen, daß er wußte, wie seine Kinder sich schändlich hielten, und hat ihnen nicht gewehrt.
14 So I have made an oath to the family of Eli that no offering of meat or of meal which they may make will ever take away the sin of his family.
14 C'est pourquoi je jure à la maison d'Éli que jamais le crime de la maison d'Éli ne sera expié, ni par des sacrifices ni par des offrandes.
14 Uime sin, mionnaím do theaghlach Éilí nach ndéanfaidh íobairt ná ofráil cúiteamh i gcoirpeacht theach Éilí go brách.”
14 Y por tanto yo he jurado á la casa de Eli, que la iniquidad de la casa de Eli no será expiada jamás, ni con sacrificios ni con presentes.
14 Darum habe ich dem Hause Eli geschworen, daß die Missetat des Hauses Eli solle nicht versöhnt werden weder mit Schlachtopfer noch mit Speisopfer ewiglich.
15 And Samuel kept where he was, not moving till the time came for opening the doors of the house of God in the morning. And fear kept him from giving Eli an account of his vision.
15 Samuel resta couché jusqu'au matin, puis il ouvrit les portes de la maison de l'Éternel. Samuel craignait de raconter la vision à Éli.
15 D'fhan Samúéil ansiúd ina luí go maidin agus ansin d'oscail sé doirse theampall an Tiarna. Bhí eagla air an fhís a insint do Éilí,
15 Y Samuel estuvo acostado hasta la mañana, y abrió las puertas de la casa de Jehová. Y Samuel temía descubrir la visión á Eli.
15 Und Samuel lag bis an den Morgen und tat die Türen auf am Hause des HERRN. Samuel aber fürchtete sich, das Gesicht Eli anzusagen.
16 Then Eli said, Samuel, my son. And Samuel answering said, Here am I.
16 Mais Éli appela Samuel, et dit: Samuel, mon fils! Il répondit: Me voici!
16 ach ghlaoigh Éilí air agus dúirt: “A Shamúéil, a mhic.” “Seo anseo mé,” ar seisean.
16 Llamando pues Eli á Samuel, díjole: Hijo mío, Samuel. Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
16 Da rief ihn Eli und sprach: Samuel, mein Sohn! Er antwortete: Siehe, hier bin ich!
17 And he said, What did the Lord say to you? Do not keep it from me: may God's punishment be on you if you keep from me anything he said to you.
17 Et Éli dit: Quelle est la parole que t'a adressée l'Éternel? Ne me cache rien. Que Dieu te traite dans toute sa rigueur, si tu me caches quelque chose de tout ce qu'il t'a dit!
17 “Cén teachtaireacht a thug sé duit?” arsa Éilí, “ná ceil orm é. Go ndéana Dia seo agus siúd leat, agus a thuilleadh fós, má cheileann tú aon ní orm dá ndúirt sé leat.”
17 Y dijo: ¿Qué es la palabra que te habló Jehová?; ruégote que no me la encubras: así te haga Dios y así te añada, si me encubrieres palabra de todo lo que habló contigo.
17 Er sprach: Was ist das Wort, das dir gesagt ist? Verschweige mir nichts. Gott tue dir dies und das, wo du mir etwas verschweigst, das dir gesagt ist.
18 Then Samuel gave him an account of everything, keeping nothing back. And he said, It is the Lord; let him do what seems good to him.
18 Samuel lui raconta tout, sans lui rien cacher. Et Éli dit: C'est l'Éternel, qu'il fasse ce qui lui semblera bon!
18 D'inis Samúéil gach ní dó ansin, gan aon ní a choimeád ar gcúl uaidh. Dúirt Éilí: “Eisean an Tiarna; déanadh sé mar is áil leis.”
18 Y Samuel se lo manifestó todo, sin encubrirle nada. Entonces él dijo: Jehová es; haga lo que bien le pareciere.
18 Da sagte es Samuel alles an und verschwieg ihm nichts. Er aber sprach: Es ist der HERR; er tue, was ihm wohl gefällt.
19 And Samuel became older, and the Lord was with him and let not one of his words be without effect.
19 Samuel grandissait. L'Éternel était avec lui, et il ne laissa tomber à terre aucune de ses paroles.
19 D'fhás Samúéil agus bhí an Tiarna maille leis agus níor lig sé d'aon fhocal dá chuid titim ar lár.
19 Y Samuel creció, y Jehová fué con él, y no dejó caer á tierra ninguna de sus palabras.
19 Samuel aber nahm zu, und der HERR war mit ihm, und fiel keines unter allen seinen Worten auf die Erde.
20 And it was clear to all Israel from Dan to Beer-sheba that Samuel had been made a prophet of the Lord.
20 Tout Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba, reconnut que Samuel était établi prophète de l'Éternel.
20 Thuig Iosrael go léir ó Dhán go Béar Seaba, go raibh Samúéil ceaptha ina fháidh don Tiarna.
20 Y conoció todo Israel desde Dan hasta Beer-sebah, que Samuel era fiel profeta de Jehová.
20 Und ganz Israel von Dan an bis gen Beer-Seba erkannte, daß Samuel ein treuer Prophet des HERRN war.
21 And the Lord was seen again in Shiloh; for the Lord gave to Samuel in Shiloh the revelation of his word.
21 L'Éternel continuait à apparaître dans Silo; car l'Éternel se révélait à Samuel, dans Silo, par la parole de l'Éternel.
