1 Now a short time after, at the time of the grain-cutting, Samson, taking with him a young goat, went to see his wife; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the bride's room. But her father would not let him go in.
1 Quelque temps après, à l'époque de la moisson des blés, Samson alla voir sa femme, et lui porta un chevreau. Il dit: Je veux entrer vers ma femme dans sa chambre. Mais le père de sa femme ne lui permit pas d'entrer.
1 Tamaillín ina dhiaidh sin, i bhfómhar an arbhair, chuaigh Samsón ar ais ar thuairisc a mhná agus meannán aige di. “Rachaidh mé isteach ina seomra chun mo mhná,” ar sé. Ach ní ligfeadh a hathair isteach é.
1 Y Acontecio después de días, que en el tiempo de la siega del trigo, Samsón visitó á su mujer con un cabrito, diciendo: Entraré á mi mujer á la cámara. Mas el padre de ella no lo dejó entrar.
1 Es begab sich aber nach etlichen Tagen, um die Weizenernte, daß Simson sein Weib besuchte mit einem Ziegenböcklein. Und als er gedachte: Ich will zu meinem Weibe gehen in die Kammer, wollte ihn der Vater nicht hinein lassen
2 And her father said, It seemed to me that you had only hate for her; so I gave her to your friend: but is not her younger sister fairer than she? so please take her in place of the other.
2 J'ai pensé dit-il, que tu avais pour elle de la haine, et je l'ai donnée à ton compagnon. Est-ce que sa jeune soeur n'est pas plus belle qu'elle? Prends-la donc à sa place.
2 Agus dúirt sé: “Bhí mé deimhin de go raibh tú bréan ar fad di; thug mé í do do chomrádaí dá bhrí sin. Nach dathúla an deirfiúr is óige ná í? Tóg ise ina háit, le do thoil.”
2 Y dijo el padre de ella: Persuadíme que la aborrecías, y díla á tu compañero. Mas su hermana menor, ¿no es más hermosa que ella? tómala, pues, en su lugar.
2 und sprach: Ich meinte, du wärest ihr gram geworden, und habe sie deinem Freunde gegeben. Sie hat aber eine jüngere Schwester, die ist schöner denn sie; die laß dein sein für diese.
3 Then Samson said to them, This time I will give payment in full to the Philistines, for I am going to do them great evil.
3 Samson leur dit: Cette fois je ne serai pas coupable envers les Philistins, si je leur fais du mal.
3 Dúirt Samsón leo: “Níl le déanamh agam anois chun sásamh a bhaint amach ó na Filistínigh ach díobháil a dhéanamh dóibh.”
3 Y Samsón les repondió: Yo seré sin culpa esta vez para con los Filisteos, si mal les hiciere.
3 Da sprach Simson zu ihnen: Ich habe einmal eine gerechte Sache wider die Philister; ich will euch Schaden tun.
4 So Samson went and got three hundred foxes and some sticks of fire-wood; and he put the foxes tail to tail with a stick between every two tails;
4 Samson s'en alla. Il attrapa trois cents renards, et prit des flambeaux; puis il tourna queue contre queue, et mit un flambeau entre deux queues, au milieu.
4 D'imigh Samsón leis dá bhrí sin agus rug ar thrí chéad sionnach; fuair sé lóchrainn, chuir na sionnaigh eireaball le heireaball agus chuir lóchrann idir gach dhá eireaball.
4 Y fué Samsón y cogió trescientas zorras, y tomando teas, y trabando aquéllas por las colas, puso entre cada dos colas una tea.
4 Und Simson ging hin und fing dreihundert Füchse und nahm Brände und kehrte je einen Schwanz zum andern und tat einen Brand je zwischen zwei Schwänze
5 Then firing the sticks, he let the foxes loose among the uncut grain of the Philistines, and all the corded stems as well as the living grain and the vine-gardens and the olives went up in flames.
5 Il alluma les flambeaux, lâcha les renards dans les blés des Philistins, et embrasa les tas de gerbes, le blé sur pied, et jusqu'aux plantations d'oliviers.
5 Las sé na lóchrainn ansin agus scaoil leis na sionnaigh isteach i ngoirt arbhair na bhFilistíneach agus chuir idir phunanna agus arbhar gan baint trí thine, agus na fíniúna agus na crainn ológ chomh maith.
5 Después, encendiendo las teas, echó las zorras en los sembrados de los Filisteos, y quemó hacinas y mieses, y viñas y olivares.
5 und zündete die Brände an mit Feuer und ließ sie unter das Korn der Philister und zündete also an die Garben samt dem stehenden Korn und Weinberge und Ölbäume.
6 Then the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they said, Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he took his wife and gave her to his friend. So the Philistines came up and had her and her father's house burned.
6 Les Philistins dirent: Qui a fait cela? On répondit: Samson, le gendre du Thimnien, parce que celui-ci lui a pris sa femme et l'a donnée à son compagnon. Et les Philistins montèrent, et ils la brûlèrent, elle et son père.
6 “Cé rinne é seo?” arsa na Filistínigh. Sé freagra a fuaireadar: “Samsón, cliamhain fhear Thimneá, mar gur thóg seisean a bhean ar ais uaidh agus gur thug í dá chomrádaí ina ionad.” Tháinig na Filistínigh aníos agus loisceadar í féin agus a [teaghlach] le tine.
6 Y dijeron los Filisteos: ¿Quién hizo esto? Y fuéles dicho: Samsón, el yerno del Timnateo, porque le quitó su mujer y la dió á su compañero. Y vinieron los Filisteos, y quemaron á fuego á ella y á su padre.
6 Da sprachen die Philister: Wer hat das getan? Da sagte man: Simson, der Eidam des Thimniters; darum daß er ihm sein Weib genommen und seinem Freunde gegeben hat. Da zogen die Philister hinauf und verbrannten sie samt ihrem Vater mit Feuer.
7 And Samson said to them, If you go on like this, truly I will take my full payment from you; and that will be the end of it.
7 Samson leur dit: Est-ce ainsi que vous agissez? Je ne cesserai qu'après m'être vengé de vous.
7 Dúirt Samsón leo: “Más mar sin a dhéanann sibh sibh féin a iompar, ar mo leabhar nach scoirfidh mé nó go ndéanfaidh mé mé féin a agairt oraibh.”
7 Entonces Samsón les dijo: ¿Así lo habíais de hacer? mas yo me vengaré de vosotros, y después cesaré.
7 Simson aber sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr solches tut, so will ich mich an euch rächen und darnach aufhören,
8 And he made an attack on them, driving them in uncontrolled flight, and causing great destruction; then he went away to his safe place in the crack of the rock at Etam.
8 Il les battit rudement, dos et ventre; puis il descendit, et se retira dans la caverne du rocher d'Étam.
8 Ansin thug sé fúthu ó thalamh agus thug ár agus eirleach orthu; síos leis ansin chun na pluaise i gCarraig Éatám agus d'fhan ansiúd.
8 E hiriólos pierna y muslo con gran mortandad; y descendió, y fijóse en la cueva de la peña de Etam.
8 und schlug sie hart, an Schultern und an Lenden. Und zog hinab und wohnte in der Steinkluft zu Etam.
9 Then the Philistines went and put up their tents in Judah, all round Lehi.
9 Alors les Philistins se mirent en marche, campèrent en Juda, et s'étendirent jusqu'à Léchi.
9 Tháinig na Filistínigh aníos ansin agus shuíodar a longfort in Iúdá; rinneadar ionradh ar Leichí.
9 Y los Filisteos subieron y pusieron campo en Judá, y tendiéronse por Lehi.
9 Da zogen die Philister hinauf und lagerten sich in Juda und ließen sich nieder zu Lehi.
10 And the men of Judah said, Why have you come up against us? And they said, We have come up to take Samson, and to do to him as he has done to us.
10 Les hommes de Juda dirent: Pourquoi êtes-vous montés contre nous? Ils répondirent: Nous sommes montés pour lier Samson, afin de le traiter comme il nous a traités.
10 Ansin dúirt muintir Iúdá leo: “Cad a ba áil libh ag tabhairt fogha fúinne?” “Thángamar aníos,” ar siad, “chun greim a fháil ar Shamsón, agus an cor céanna a thabhairt air agus a thug seisean orainne.”
10 Y los varones de Judá les dijeron: ¿Por qué habéis subido contra nosotros? Y ellos respondieron: A prender á Samsón hemos subido, para hacerle como él nos ha hecho.
10 Aber die von Juda sprachen: Warum seid ihr wider uns heraufgezogen? Sie antworteten: Wir sind heraufgekommen, Simson zu binden, daß wir mit ihm tun, wie er uns getan hat.
11 Then three thousand of the men of Judah went down to the crack of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, Is it not clear to you that the Philistines are our rulers? What is this you have done to us? And he said to them, I only did to them as they did to me.
11 Sur quoi trois mille hommes de Juda descendirent à la caverne du rocher d'Étam, et dirent à Samson: Ne sais-tu pas que les Philistins dominent sur nous? Que nous as-tu donc fait? Il leur répondit: Je les ai traités comme il m'ont traité.
11 Ansin chuaigh trí mhíle d'fhir Iúdá síos go dtí an phluais i gCarraig Éatám, agus dúradar le Samsón: “Nach bhfuil fhios agat go bhfuil na Filistínigh i gceannas orainn? Cad é seo, más ea, atá déanta agat orainn?” Dúirt sé leo: “Thug mé an cor céanna orthu agus a thug siadsan ormsa.”
11 Y vinieron tres mil hombres de Judá á la cueva de la peña de Etam, y dijeron á Samsón: ¿No sabes tú que los Filisteos dominan sobre nosotros? ¿por qué nos has hecho esto? Y él les respondió: Yo les he hecho como ellos me hicieron.
11 Da zogen dreitausend Mann von Juda hinab in die Steinkluft zu Etam und sprachen zu Simson: Weißt du nicht, daß die Philister über uns herrschen? Warum hast du denn das an uns getan? Er sprach zu ihnen: Wie sie mir getan haben, so habe ich ihnen wieder getan.
12 Then they said to him, We have come down to take you and give you up into the hands of the Philistines. And Samson said to them, Give me your oath that you will not make an attack on me yourselves.
12 Ils lui dirent: Nous sommes descendus pour te lier, afin de te livrer entre les mains des Philistins. Samson leur dit: Jurez-moi que vous ne me tuerez pas.
12 Agus dúradar leis: “Thángamar anuas chun tú a chur i gcuibhreacha agus tú a thabhairt ar láimh do na Filistínigh.” Dúirt sé leo: “Tugaigí mionn nach maróidh sibh féin mé.”
12 Ellos entonces le dijeron: Nosotros hemos venido para prenderte, y entregarte en mano de los Filisteos. Y Samsón les respondió: Juradme que vosotros no me mataréis.
12 Sie sprachen zu ihm: Wir sind herabgekommen, dich zu binden und in der Philister Hände zu geben. Simson sprach zu ihnen: So schwört mir, daß ihr mir kein Leid tun wollt.
13 And they said, No; we will take you and give you up into their hands, but truly we will not put you to death. So knotting two new cords round him they took him up from the rock.
13 Ils lui répondirent: Non; nous voulons seulement te lier et te livrer entre leurs mains, mais nous ne te ferons pas mourir. Et ils le lièrent avec deux cordes neuves, et le firent sortir du rocher.
13 D'fhreagair siad: “Ní mharóimid; níl uainn ach thú a chur i gcuibhreacha agus a thabhairt suas dóibh; ní baol go maróimidne thú.” Cheanglaíodar é le dhá théad nua, agus thug siad aníos ón gCarraig é.
13 Y ellos le respondieron, diciendo: No, solamente te prenderemos, y te entregaremos en sus manos; mas no te mataremos. Entonces le ataron con dos cuerdas nuevas, é hiciéronle venir de la peña.
13 Sie antworteten ihm: Wir wollen dir kein Leid tun, sondern wollen dich nur Binden und in ihre Hände geben und wollen dich nicht töten. Und sie banden ihn mit zwei neuen Stricken und führten ihn herauf vom Fels.
14 And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines came out, meeting him with loud cries; then the spirit of the Lord came rushing on him, and the cords on his arms became like grass which has been burned with fire, and the bands came falling off his hands.
14 Lorsqu'il arriva à Léchi, les Philistins poussèrent des cris à sa rencontre. Alors l'esprit de l'Éternel le saisit. Les cordes qu'il avait aux bras devinrent comme du lin brûlé par le feu, et ses liens tombèrent de ses mains.
14 Ag teacht i gcongar Leichí dó, rith na Filistínigh chuige agus na gártha maíte á gcur suas acu; ach tháinig spiorad an Tiarna go tréan airsean, agus rinne mar a bheadh snáithe dóite lín de na téada a bhí ar a ghéaga, agus leáigh na cuibhreacha dá lámha.
14 Y así que vino hasta Lehi, los Filisteos le salieron á recibir con algazara: y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y las cuerdas que estaban en sus brazos se tornaron como lino quemado con fuego, y las ataduras se cayeron de sus manos.
14 Und da er kam bis gen Lehi, jauchzten die Philister ihm entgegen. Aber der Geist Gottes geriet über ihn, und die Stricke an seinen Armen wurden wie Fäden, die das Feuer versengt hat, daß die Bande an seinen Händen zerschmolzen.
15 And taking up the mouth-bone of an ass newly dead, which he saw by chance on the earth, he put to death a thousand men with it.
15 Il trouva une mâchoire d'âne fraîche, il étendit sa main pour la prendre, et il en tua mille hommes.
15 Tharla cnámh géill úr asail ansiúd dó; shín sé a lámh agus rug greim air, agus leag míle fear ar lár leis.
15 Y hallando una quijada de asno fresca, extendió la mano y tomóla, é hirió con ella á mil hombres.
15 Und er fand einen frischen Eselskinnbacken; da reckte er seine Hand aus und nahm ihn und schlug damit tausend Mann.
16 And Samson said, With a red ass's mouth-bone I have made them red with blood, with a red ass's mouth-bone I have sent destruction on a thousand men.
16 Et Samson dit: Avec une mâchoire d'âne, un monceau, deux monceaux; Avec une mâchoire d'âne, j'ai tué mille hommes.
16 Ansin dúirt Samsón: “Le cnámh géill asail rinne mé iad a phleancadh, Le cnámh géill asail rinne mé míle fear a threascairt.”
16 Entonces Samsón dijo: Con la quijada de un asno, un montón, dos montones; Con la quijada de un asno herí mil hombres.
16 Und Simson sprach: Da liegen sie bei Haufen; durch eines Esels Kinnbacken habe ich tausend Mann geschlagen.
17 And having said these words, he let the mouth-bone go out of his hand; so that place was named Ramath-lehi.
17 Quand il eut achevé de parler, il jeta de sa main la mâchoire. Et l'on appela ce lieu Ramath Léchi.
17 Nuair a bhí sin ráite aige, chaith sé uaidh an chnámh, agus sin é an fáth ar tugadh Rámat Leichí [Cnoc an Chnámh Géill] ar an áit.
17 Y acabando de hablar, echó de su mano la quijada, y llamó á aquel lugar Ramath-lehi.
17 Und da er das ausgeredet hatte, warf er den Kinnbacken aus seiner Hand und hieß die Stätte Ramath-Lehi (das ist Kinnbackenhöhe).
18 After this, he was in great need of water, and crying out to the Lord, he said, You have given this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and now need of water will be my death; and I will be given into the hands of this people who are without circumcision.
18 Pressé par la soif, il invoqua l'Éternel, et dit: C'est toi qui a permis par la main de ton serviteur cette grande délivrance; et maintenant mourrais je de soif, et tomberais-je entre les mains des incirconcis?
18 Bhí an-tart air, agus ghlaoigh sé ar an Tiarna agus dúirt leis: “Tusa féin a dheonaigh an fhuascailt iontach seo trí láimh do shearbhónta; an bás de thart atá i ndán dom anois agus titim isteach i lámha na muintire gan timpeallghearradh?”
18 Y teniendo gran sed, clamó luego á Jehová, y dijo: Tú has dado esta gran salud por mano de tu siervo: ¿y moriré yo ahora de sed, y caeré en mano de los incircuncisos?
18 Da ihn aber sehr dürstete, rief er den HERRN an und sprach: Du hast solch großes Heil gegeben durch die Hand deines Knechtes; nun aber muß ich Durstes sterben und in der Unbeschnittenen Hände fallen.
19 Then God made a crack in the hollow rock in Lehi and water came out of it; and after drinking, his spirit came back to him and he was strong again; so that place was named En-hakkore; it is in Lehi to this day.
19 Dieu fendit la cavité du rocher qui est à Léchi, et il en sortit de l'eau. Samson but, son esprit se ranima, et il reprit vie. C'est de là qu'on a appelé cette source En Hakkoré; elle existe encore aujourd'hui à Léchi.
19 Ansin chuir an Tiarna scoilt sa log sa talamh ansiúd i Leichí, agus tháinig uisce as. D'ól Samsón, d'fhill a mhisneach air, agus tháinig neart arís ann. Tugadh Éan Hacórae ar an tobar sin dá bharrsan; tá sé ansiúd i Leichí go dtí an lá seo féin.
19 Entonces quebró Dios una muela que estaba en la quijada, y salieron de allí aguas, y bebió, y recobró su espíritu, y reanimóse. Por tanto llamó su nombre de aquel lugar, En-haccore, el cual es en Lehi, hasta hoy.
19 Da spaltete Gott die Höhlung in Lehi, das Wasser herausging; und als er trank, kam der Geist wieder, und er ward erquickt. Darum heißt er noch heutigestages "des Anrufers Brunnen", der in Lehi ist.
20 And he was judge of Israel in the days of the Philistines for twenty years.
20 Samson fut juge en Israël, au temps des Philistins, pendant vingt ans.
