1 Now the angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, *** I took you out of Egypt, guiding you into the land which I gave by an oath to your fathers; and I said, My agreement with you will never be broken by me:
1 Un envoyé de l'Éternel monta de Guilgal à Bokim, et dit: Je vous ai fait monter hors d'Égypte, et je vous ai amenés dans le pays que j'ai juré à vos pères de vous donner. J'ai dit: Jamais je ne romprai mon alliance avec vous;
1 Ghabh aingeal an Tiarna suas ó Ghilgeál go Bocaím, agus dúirt: “Thug mé aníos ón Éigipt thú agus sheol mé isteach sa tír seo thú a mhionnaigh mé a thabharfainn do bhur n‑aithreacha. Dúirt mé: ‘Ní bhrisfidh mé mo chonradh libh go brách.
1 Y El ángel de Jehová subió de Gilgal á Bochîm, y dijo: Yo os saqué de Egipto, y os introduje en la tierra de la cual había jurado á vuestros padres; y dije: No invalidaré jamás mi pacto con vosotros;
1 Es kam aber der Engel des HERRN herauf von Gilgal gen Bochim und sprach: Ich habe euch aus Ägypten heraufgeführt und in das Land gebracht, das ich euren Vätern geschworen habe, und sprach, ich wollte meinen Bund mit euch nicht brechen ewiglich;
2 And you are to make no agreement with the people of this land; you are to see that their altars are broken down: but you have not given ear to my voice: what have you done?
2 et vous, vous ne traiterez point alliance avec les habitants de ce pays, vous renverserez leurs autels. Mais vous n'avez point obéi à ma voix. Pourquoi avez-vous fait cela?
2 Agus ó bhur thaobhsa de, ná déanaigí aon chonradh le muintir na tíre seo; scriosaigí a n‑altoirí.’ Ach níor ghéill sibh do m'orduithe. Cad é seo a rinne sibh?
2 Con tal que vosotros no hagáis alianza con los moradores de aquesta tierra, cuyos altares habéis de derribar: mas vosotros no habéis atendido á mi voz: ¿por qué habéis hecho esto?
2 ihr aber solltet keinen Bund machen mit den Einwohnern dieses Landes und ihre Altäre zerbrechen. Aber ihr habt meiner Stimme nicht gehorcht. Warum habt ihr das getan?
3 And so I have said, I will not send them out from before you; but they will be a danger to you, and their gods will be a cause of falling to you.
3 J'ai dit alors: Je ne les chasserai point devant vous; mais ils seront à vos côtés, et leurs dieux vous seront un piège.
3 Deirim anois dá bhrí sin, ní thiomáinfidh mé amach romhaibh iad. Beidh siad agaibh mar ghéarleanúinteoirí, agus beidh a ndéithe mar ghaiste daoibh.”
3 Por tanto yo también dije: No los echaré de delante de vosotros, sino que os serán por azote para vuestros costados, y sus dioses por tropiezo.
3 Da sprach ich auch: Ich will sie nicht vertreiben vor euch, daß sie euch zum Strick werden und ihre Götter zum Netz.
4 Now on hearing these words which the angel of the Lord said to all the children of Israel, the people gave themselves up to loud crying and weeping.
4 Lorsque l'envoyé de l'Éternel eut dit ces paroles à tous les enfants d'Israël, le peuple éleva la voix et pleura.
4 Nuair a labhair aingeal an Tiarna mar sin le clann Iosrael go léir chrom an pobal go léir ar osna agus ar olagón.
4 Y como el ángel de Jehová habló estas palabras á todos los hijos de Israel, el pueblo lloró en alta voz.
4 Und da der Engel des HERRN solche Worte geredet hatte zu allen Kinder Israel, hob das Volk seine Stimme auf und weinte,
5 And they gave that place the name of Bochim, and made offerings there to the Lord.
5 Ils donnèrent à ce lieu le nom de Bokim, et ils y offrirent des sacrifices à l'Éternel.
5 Thugadar Bocaím [Lucht Olagóin] ar an áit sin agus rinneadar íobairtí don Tiarna ansiúd. An Dara Réamhrá
5 Y llamaron por nombre aquel lugar Bochîm: y sacrificaron allí á Jehová.
5 und hießen die Stätte Bochim und opferten daselbst dem HERRN.
6 And Joshua let the people go away, and the children of Israel went, every man to his heritage, to take the land for themselves.
6 Josué renvoya le peuple, et les enfants d'Israël allèrent chacun dans son héritage pour prendre possession du pays.
6 Ansin scaoil Iósua leis an bpobal agus d'imigh clann Iosrael leo, gach duine díobh go dtí a oidhreacht féin, chun seilbh a ghabháil ar an talamh.
6 Porque ya Josué había despedido al pueblo, y los hijos de Israel se habían ido cada uno á su heredad para poseerla.
6 Als Josua das Volk von sich gelassen hatte und die Kinder Israel hingezogen waren, ein jeglicher in sein Erbteil, das Land einzunehmen,
7 And the people were true to the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the responsible men who were still living after the death of Joshua, and had seen all the great work of the Lord which he had done for Israel.
7 Le peuple servit l'Éternel pendant toute la vie de Josué, et pendant toute la vie des anciens qui survécurent à Josué et qui avaient vu toutes les grandes choses que l'Éternel avait faites en faveur d'Israël.
7 Rinne an pobal seirbhís don Tiarna i gcaitheamh saol Iósua go léir agus i gcaitheamh saol na seanóirí go léir a mhair i ndiaidh Iósua a chonaic na héachtaí go léir a rinne an Tiarna ar mhaithe le hIosrael.
7 Y el pueblo había servido á Jehová todo el tiempo de Josué, y todo el tiempo de los ancianos que vivieron largos días después de Josué, los cuales habían visto todas las grandes obras de Jehová, que el había hecho por Israel.
7 diente das Volk dem HERRN, solange Josua lebte und die Ältesten, die noch lange nach Josua lebten und alle die großen Werke des HERRN gesehen hatten, die er getan hatte.
8 And death came to Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, he being a hundred and ten years old.
8 Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de l'Éternel, mourut âgé de cent dix ans.
8 D'éag Iósua mac Nún, seirbhíseach an Tiarna, agus é céad agus a deich mbliana d'aois.
8 Y murió Josué hijo de Nun, siervo de Jehová, siendo de ciento y diez años.
8 Da nun Josua, der Sohn Nuns, gestorben war, der Knecht des HERRN, als er hundertundzehn Jahre alt war,
9 And they put his body in the earth in the land of his heritage in Timnath-heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim to the north of Mount Gaash.
9 On l'ensevelit dans le territoire qu'il avait eu en partage, à Thimnath Hérès, dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, au nord de la montagne de Gaasch.
9 Rinneadar é a adhlacadh san fhearann oidhreachta a fuair sé i dTimneat Heireas in ardáin Eafráim, lastuaidh de Shliabh Gháis.
9 Y enterráronlo en el término de su heredad en Timnath-sera, en el monte de Ephraim, el norte del monte de Gaas.
9 begruben sie ihn in den Grenzen seines Erbteile zu Thimnath-Heres auf dem Gebirge Ephraim, mitternachtwärts vom Berge Gaas.
10 And in time death overtook all that generation; and another generation came after them, having no knowledge of the Lord or of the things which he had done for Israel.
10 Toute cette génération fut recueillie auprès de ses pères, et il s'éleva après elle une autre génération, qui ne connaissait point l'Éternel, ni ce qu'il avait fait en faveur d'Israël.
10 Nuair a bailíodh an ghlúin sin go léir chun a n‑aithreacha, tháinig glúin eile ina ndiaidh nárbh aithnid dóibh an Tiarna ná na héachtaí a rinne sé d'Iosrael.
10 Y toda aquella generación fué también recogida con sus padres. Y levantóse después de ellos otra generación, que no conocían á Jehová, ni la obra que él había hecho por Israel.
10 Da auch alle, die zu der Zeit gelebt hatten, zu ihren Vätern versammelt wurden, kam nach ihnen ein andres Geschlecht auf, das den HERRN nicht kannte noch sein Werke, die er an Israel getan hatte.
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord and became servants to the Baals;
11 Les enfants d'Israël firent alors ce qui déplaît à l'Éternel, et ils servirent les Baals.
11 Rinne clann Iosrael an t‑olc i bhfianaise an Tiarna go ndearnadar fónamh do na Bálaím.
11 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en ojos de Jehová, y sirvieron á los Baales:
11 Da taten die Kinder Israel übel vor dem HERRN und dienten den Baalim
12 And they gave up the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had taken them out of the land of Egypt, and went after other gods, the gods of the peoples round about them, worshipping them and moving the Lord to wrath.
12 Ils abandonnèrent l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, qui les avait fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, et ils allèrent après d'autres dieux d'entre les dieux des peuples qui les entouraient; ils se prosternèrent devant eux, et ils irritèrent l'Éternel.
12 Thréigeadar an Tiarna, Dia a sinsear, a threoraigh amach as tír na hÉigipte iad, agus leanadar déithe eile, déithe de chuid na gciníocha ina dtimpeall. D'adhradar na déithe sin agus ghriogadar an Tiarna chun feirge.
12 Y dejaron á Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que los había sacado de la tierra de Egipto, y fuéronse tras otros dioses, los dioses de los pueblos que estaban en sus alrededores, á los cuales adoraron; y provocaron á ira á Jehová.
12 und verließen den HERRN, ihrer Väter Gott, der sie aus Ägyptenland geführt hatte, und folgten andern Göttern nach von den Göttern der Völker, die um sie her wohnten, und beteten sie an und erzürnten den HERRN;
13 And they gave up the Lord, and became the servants of Baal and the Astartes.
13 Ils abandonnèrent l'Éternel, et ils servirent Baal et les Astartés.
13 De bhrí gur thréigeadar an Tiarna agus go ndearnadar fónamh do Bhál agus do na hAisteárót,
13 Y dejaron á Jehová, y adoraron á Baal y á Astaroth.
13 denn sie verließen je und je den HERRN und dienten Baal und den Astharoth.
14 And the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and he gave them up into the hands of those who violently took their property, and into the hands of their haters all round them, so that they were forced to give way before them.
14 La colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma contre Israël. Il les livra entre les mains de pillards qui les pillèrent, il les vendit entre les mains de leurs ennemis d'alentour, et ils ne purent plus résister à leurs ennemis.
14 bhladhm fearg an Tiarna in aghaidh Iosrael; thug sé suas do lucht creiche iad agus rinne siadsan iad a chreachadh. Rinne sé iad a reic lena naimhde ina dtimpeall, agus níorbh fhéidir leo an fód a sheasamh ina n‑aghaidh.
14 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, el cual los entregó en manos de robadores que los despojaron, y los vendió en manos de sus enemigos de alrededor: y no pudieron parar más delante de sus enemigos.
14 So ergrimmte der Zorn des HERRN über Israel und gab sie in die Hand der Räuber, daß diese sie beraubten, und verkaufte sie in die Hände ihrer Feinde umher. Und sie konnten nicht mehr ihren Feinden widerstehen;
15 Wherever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had taken his oath it would be; and things became very hard for them.
15 Partout où ils allaient, la main de l'Éternel était contre eux pour leur faire du mal, comme l'Éternel l'avait dit, comme l'Éternel le leur avait juré. Ils furent ainsi dans une grande détresse.
15 Cibé uair a ghluaisidís chun catha bhíodh an Tiarna ina n‑aghaidh á gclipeadh de réir mar a bhí geallta aige dóibh agus de réir mar a mhionnaigh sé dóibh, ionas go rabhadar faoi shrathair na hainnise.
15 Por donde quiera que salían, la mano de Jehová era contra ellos para mal, como Jehová había dicho, y como Jehová se lo había jurado; así los afligió en gran manera.
15 sondern wo sie hinaus wollten, da war des HERRN Hand wider sie zum Unglück, wie denn der HERR ihnen gesagt und geschworen hatte. Und sie wurden hart gedrängt.
16 Then the Lord gave them judges, as their saviours from the hands of those who were cruel to them.
16 L'Éternel suscita des juges, afin qu'ils les délivrassent de la main de ceux qui les pillaient.
16 Mar sin féin, chuir an Tiarna breithiúna i réim dóibh a shaor iad ó lucht a gcreachta.
16 Mas Jehová suscitó jueces que los librasen de mano de los que los despojaban.
16 Wenn dann der HERR Richter auferweckte, die ihnen halfen aus der Räuber Hand,
17 But still they would not give ear to their judges, but went after other gods and gave them worship; quickly turning from the way in which their fathers had gone, keeping the orders of the Lord; but they did not do so.
17 Mais ils n'écoutèrent pas même leurs juges, car ils se prostituèrent à d'autres dieux, se prosternèrent devant eux. Ils se détournèrent promptement de la voie qu'avaient suivie leurs pères, et ils n'obéirent point comme eux aux commandements de l'Éternel.
17 Más ea, ní éistfidís lena mbreithiúna, ach is amhlaidh a chuadar le striapachas i ndiaidh déithe eile agus shléachtadar dóibh. Ba róbheag an mhoill orthu casadh i leataobh ón mbealach a ghabh a sinsir, an bealach a ghabhadar de réir orduithe an Tiarna; níor leanadar a samplasan.
17 Y tampoco oyeron á sus jueces, sino que fornicaron tras dioses ajenos, á los cuales adoraron: apartáronse bien presto del camino en que anduvieron sus padres obedeciendo á los mandamientos de Jehová; mas ellos no hicieron así.
17 so gehorchten sie den Richtern auch nicht, sondern liefen andern Göttern nach und beteten sie an und wichen bald von dem Weg, darauf ihre Väter gegangen waren, des HERRN Geboten zu gehorchen, und taten nicht wie dieselben.
18 And whenever the Lord gave them judges, then the Lord was with the judge, and was their saviour from the hands of their haters all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved by their cries of grief because of those who were cruel to them.
18 Lorsque l'Éternel leur suscitait des juges, l'Éternel était avec le juge, et il les délivrait de la main de leurs ennemis pendant toute la vie du juge; car l'Éternel avait pitié de leurs gémissements contre ceux qui les opprimaient et les tourmentaient.
18 Nuair a cheapadh an Tiarna breithiúna dóibh, bhíodh sé i bhfochair an bhreithimh, agus shaoradh sé óna naimhde iad fad mhaireadh an breitheamh beo. Óir bhíodh trua ag an Tiarna dóibh as ucht a n‑uchlán agus iad á gcrá agus á gciapadh ag lucht a mbuartha.
18 Y cuando Jehová les suscitaba jueces, Jehová era con el juez, y librábalos de mano de los enemigos todo el tiempo de aquel juez: porque Jehová se arrepentía por sus gemidos á causa de los que los oprimían y afligían.
18 Wenn aber der HERR ihnen Richter erweckte, so war der HERR mit dem Richter und half ihnen aus ihrer Feinde Hand, solange der Richter lebte. Denn es jammerte den HERRN ihr Wehklagen über die, so sie zwangen und drängten.
19 But whenever the judge was dead, they went back and did more evil than their fathers, going after other gods, to be their servants and their worshippers; giving up nothing of their sins and their hard-hearted ways.
19 Mais, à la mort du juge, ils se corrompaient de nouveau plus que leurs pères, en allant après d'autres dieux pour les servir et se prosterner devant eux, et ils persévéraient dans la même conduite et le même endurcissement.
19 Nuair a d'fhaigheadh an breitheamh bás, ámh, d'fhillidís ar a seanbhéasa, ionas gur seacht measa a iompraídís iad féin ná a n‑aithreacha; leanaidís déithe eile, ag fónamh agus ag sléachtadh dóibh, ní thugaidís cúl lena ndrochghníomhartha ná lena gceanndánacht.
19 Mas en muriendo el juez, ellos se tornaban, y se corrompían más que sus padres, siguiendo dioses ajenos para servirles, é inclinándose delante de ellos; y nada disminuían de sus obras, ni de su duro camino.
19 Wenn aber der Richter starb, so wandten sie sich und verderbten es mehr denn ihre Väter, daß sie andern Göttern folgten, ihnen zu dienen und sie anzubeten; sie ließen nicht von ihrem Vornehmen noch von ihrem halsstarrigen Wesen.
20 And the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and he said, Because this nation has not been true to my agreement which I made with their fathers, and has not given ear to my voice;
20 Alors la colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma contre Israël, et il dit: Puisque cette nation a transgressé mon alliance que j'avais prescrite à ses pères, et puisqu'ils n'ont point obéi à ma voix,
20 Ansin bhladhm fearg an Tiarna in aghaidh Iosrael agus dúirt sé: “Ós rud é go ndearna an pobal seo mo chonradh a leag mé ar a sinsir a bhriseadh agus nár ghéilleadar do mo ghlór,
20 Y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y dijo: Pues que esta gente traspasa mi pacto que ordené á sus padres, y no obedecen mi voz,
20 Darum ergrimmte denn des HERRN Zorn über Israel, daß er sprach: Weil dies Volk meinen Bund übertreten hat, den ich ihren Vätern geboten habe, und gehorchen meiner Stimme nicht,
21 From now on I will not go on driving out from before them any of the nations which at the death of Joshua were still living in this land;
21 je ne chasserai plus devant eux aucune des nations que Josué laissa quand il mourut.
21 ní dhéanfaidh mé dá bhrí sin aon cheann de na ciníocha a d'fhág Iósua sa tír nuair a d'éag sé a dhíbirt rompu.”
21 Tampoco yo echaré más de delante de ellos á ninguna de aquestas gentes que dejó Josué cuando murió;
21 so will ich auch hinfort die Heiden nicht vertreiben, die Josua hat gelassen, da er starb,
22 In order to put Israel to the test, and see if they will keep the way of the Lord, walking in it as their fathers did, or not.
22 C'est ainsi que je mettrai par elles Israël à l'épreuve, pour savoir s'ils prendront garde ou non de suivre la voie de l'Éternel, comme leurs pères y ont pris garde.
22 Ba d'fhonn Iosrael a thriail le cabhair na gciníocha ud é sin, féachaint an leanfaidís ar bhealach an Tiarna faoi mar a rinne a sinsir tráth nó nach ndéanfaidís.
22 Para que por ellas probara yo á Israel, si guardarían ellos el camino de Jehová andando por él, como sus padres lo guardaron, ó no.
22 daß ich Israel durch sie versuche, ob sie auf dem Wege des HERRN bleiben, daß sie darin wandeln, wie ihre Väter geblieben sind, oder nicht.
23 So the Lord let those nations go on living in the land, not driving them out quickly, and did not give them up into the hands of Joshua.
23 Et l'Éternel laissa en repos ces nations qu'il n'avait pas livrées entre les mains de Josué, et il ne se hâta point de les chasser.
