1 Then the Lord said to Joshua, Have no fear and do not be troubled: take with you all the fighting-men and go up against Ai: for I have given into your hands the king of Ai and his people and his town and his land:
1 L'Éternel dit à Josué: Ne crains point, et ne t'effraie point! Prends avec toi tous les gens de guerre, lève-toi, monte contre Aï. Vois, je livre entre tes mains le roi d'Aï et son peuple, sa ville et son pays.
1 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Iósua: “Ná bíodh eagla ort! Bíodh misneach agat. Beir leat na fir chogaidh go léir agus suas leat go Háí. Seo é rí Háí agus a mhuintir agus a chathair agus a fhearann curtha faoi do láimh agam.
1 Y Jehova dijo á Josué: No temas, ni desmayes; toma contigo toda la gente de guerra, y levántate y sube á Hai. Mira, yo he entregado en tu mano al rey de Hai, y á su pueblo, á su ciudad, y á su tierra.
1 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Fürchte dich nicht und zage nicht! Nimm mit dir alles Kriegsvolk und mache dich auf und zieh hinauf gen Ai! Siehe da, ich habe den König zu Ai samt seinem Volk, seiner Stadt, und seinem Lande in deine Hände gegeben.
2 And you are to do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king: but their goods and their cattle you may take for yourselves: let a secret force be stationed to make a surprise attack on the town from the back.
2 Tu traiteras Aï et son roi comme tu as traité Jéricho et son roi; seulement vous garderez pour vous le butin et le bétail. Place une embuscade derrière la ville.
2 Déan le Háí agus lena rí mar a rinne tú le Ireachó agus lena rí. Maidir le creach, ná tógaigí ach a mhaoin agus a eallach daoibh féin. Cuir luíochán ar an gcathair i leith a cúil.”
2 Y harás á Hai y á su rey como hiciste á Jericó y á su rey: sólo que sus despojos y sus bestias tomaréis para vosotros. Pondrás, pues, emboscadas á la ciudad detrás de ella.
2 Du sollst mit Ai und seinem König tun, wie du mit Jericho und seinem König getan hast, nur daß ihr ihren Raub und ihr Vieh unter euch teilen sollt. Aber stelle einen Hinterhalt hinter der Stadt.
3 So Joshua and the fighting-men got ready to go up against Ai; and Joshua took thirty thousand men of war, and sent them out by night.
3 Josué se leva avec tous les gens de guerre, pour monter contre Aï. Il choisit trente mille vaillants hommes, qu'il fit partir de nuit,
3 Ansin d'éirigh Iósua agus a lucht cogaidh go léir chun ionsaí a dhéanamh ar Háí. Thogh Iósua tríocha mile gaiscíoch agus sheol uaidh iad i gcoim na hoíche,
3 Y levantóse Josué, y toda la gente de guerra, para subir contra Hai: y escogió Josué treinta mil hombres fuertes, los cuales envió de noche.
3 Da machte sich Josua auf und alles Kriegsvolk, hinaufzuziehen gen Ai. Und Josua erwählte dreißigtausend streitbare Männer und sandte sie aus bei der Nacht
4 And he gave them their orders, saying, Go and take up your position secretly at the back of the town: do not go very far away, and let all of you be ready:
4 et auxquels il donna cet ordre: Écoutez, vous vous mettrez en embuscade derrière la ville; ne vous éloignez pas beaucoup de la ville, et soyez tous prêts.
4 leis na horduithe seo: “Féach, téigí i luíochán ar an gcathair i leith a cúil, ach ina cóngar; bígí ar bhur n‑aire.
4 Y mandóles, diciendo: Mirad, pondréis emboscada á la ciudad detrás de ella: no os alejaréis mucho de la ciudad, y estaréis todos apercibidos.
4 und gebot ihnen und sprach: Seht zu, ihr sollt der Hinterhalt sein hinter der Stadt; macht euch aber nicht allzu ferne von der Stadt und seid allesamt bereit!
5 And I and all the people with me will come near the town, and when they come out against us as they did before, we will go in flight from them;
5 Mais moi et tout le peuple qui est avec moi, nous nous approcherons de la ville. Et quand ils sortiront à notre rencontre, comme la première fois, nous prendrons la fuite devant eux.
5 Rachaidh mise agus a bhfuil de dhaoine i mo theannta faoi dhéin na cathrach; nuair a thiocfaidh siadsan amach inár gcoinne mar a rinneadar an chéad uair, teithfimid uathu.
5 Y yo, y todo el pueblo que está conmigo, nos acercaremos á la ciudad; y cuando saldrán ellos contra nosotros, como hicieron antes, huiremos delante de ellos.
5 Ich aber und das Volk, das mit mir ist, wollen uns zu der Stadt machen. Und wenn sie uns entgegen herausfahren wie das erstemal, so wollen wir vor ihnen fliehen,
6 And they will come out after us, till we have got them away from the town; for they will say, They have gone in flight from us as before; so we will go in flight before them;
6 Ils nous poursuivront jusqu'à ce que nous les ayons attirés loin de la ville, car ils diront: Ils fuient devant nous, comme la première fois! Et nous fuirons devant eux.
6 Rachaidh siadsan sa tóir orainn agus meallfaimid ón gcathair iad agus iad á rá: ‘Tá siad ag teitheadh uainn mar a rinneadar an uair dheireanach.’ Teithfimidne rompu, más ea,
6 Y ellos saldrán tras nosotros, hasta que los arranquemos de la ciudad; porque ellos dirán: Huyen de nosotros como la primera vez. Huiremos, pues, delante de ellos.
6 daß sie uns nachfolgen heraus, bis daß wir sie von der Stadt hinwegreißen. Denn sie werden gedenken, wir fliehen vor ihnen wie das erstemal. Und wenn wir vor ihnen fliehen,
7 Then you will get up from your secret position and take the town, for the Lord your God will give it up into your hands.
7 Vous sortirez alors de l'embuscade, et vous vous emparerez de la ville, et l'Éternel, votre Dieu, la livrera entre vos mains.
7 agus tiocfaidh sibhse as bhur luíochán agus gabhfaidh sibh an chathair, óir tabharfaidh an Tiarna bhur nDia ar láimh daoibh í.
7 Entonces vosotros os levantaréis de la emboscada, y os echaréis sobre la ciudad; pues Jehová vuestro Dios la entregará en vuestras manos.
7 sollt ihr euch aufmachen aus dem Hinterhalt und die Stadt einnehmen; denn der HERR, euer Gott, wird sie in eure Hände geben.
8 And when you have taken the town, put fire to it, as the Lord has said: see, I have given you your orders.
8 Quand vous aurez pris la ville, vous y mettrez le feu, vous agirez comme l'Éternel l'a dit: c'est l'ordre que je vous donne.
8 Nuair a bheidh an chathair gafa agaibh, cuirigí trí thine í de réir aithne an Tiarna. Féachaigí chuige go ndéanfaidh sibh mar a d'ordaigh mé daoibh.”
8 Y cuando la hubiereis tomado, le prenderéis fuego. Haréis conforme á la palabra de Jehová. Mirad que os lo he mandado.
8 Wenn ihr aber die Stadt eingenommen habt, so steckt sie an mit Feuer und tut nach dem Wort des HERRN. Seht, ich habe es euch geboten.
9 So Joshua sent them out: and they took up a secret position between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua kept with the people that night.
9 Josué les fit partir, et ils allèrent se placer en embuscade entre Béthel et Aï, à l'occident d'Aï. Mais Josué passa cette nuit-là au milieu du peuple.
9 Sheol Iósua chun siúil iad dá bhrí sin, agus chuadar chun an láthair luíocháin idir Béitéil agus Háí, laistiar de Háí. Chaith Iósua an oíche sin i measc an phobail.
9 Entonces Josué los envió; y ellos se fueron á la emboscada, y pusiéronse entre Beth-el y Hai, al occidente de Hai: y Josué se quedó aquella noche en medio del pueblo.
9 Also sandte sie Josua hin; und sie gingen hin auf den Hinterhalt und hielten zwischen Beth-El und Ai abendwärts von Ai. Josua aber blieb die Nacht unter dem Volk
10 And early in the morning Joshua got up, and put the people in order, and he and the chiefs of Israel went up before the people to Ai.
10 Josué se leva de bon matin, passa le peuple en revue, et marcha contre Aï, à la tête du peuple, lui et les anciens d'Israël.
10 D'éirigh Iósua go moch ar maidin, chuir sé tionól ar an bpobal agus chuir sé féin agus seanóirí Iosrael chun siúil roimh an bpobal i gcoinne Háí.
10 Y levantándose Josué muy de mañana, revistó al pueblo, y subió él, con los ancianos de Israel, delante del pueblo contra Hai.
10 und machte sich des Morgens früh auf und ordnete das Volk und zog hinauf mit den Ältesten Israels vor dem Volk her gen Ai.
11 And all the fighting-men who were with him went up and came near the town, and took up a position on the north side of Ai facing the town, with a valley between him and the town.
11 Tous les gens de guerre qui étaient avec lui montèrent et s'approchèrent; lorsqu'ils furent arrivés en face de la ville, ils campèrent au nord d'Aï, dont ils étaient séparés par la vallée.
11 Ghabh na fir chogaidh go léir ina theannta suas os comhair na cathrach agus shuíodar a gcampa lastuaidh de Háí agus gleann idir iad agus Háí.
11 Y toda la gente de guerra que con él estaba, subió, y acercóse, y llegaron delante de la ciudad, y asentaron el campo á la parte del norte de Hai: y el valle estaba entre él y Hai.
11 Und alles Kriegsvolk, das bei ihm war, zog hinauf, und sie traten herzu und kamen gegen die Stadt und lagerten sich gegen Mitternacht vor Ai, daß nur ein Tal war zwischen ihnen und Ai.
12 And taking about five thousand men, he put them in position for a surprise attack on the west side of Ai, between Beth-el and Ai.
12 Josué prit environ cinq mille hommes, et les mit en embuscade entre Béthel et Aï, à l'occident de la ville.
12 Thug sé leis timpeall cúig mhíle fear agus chuir i luíochán iad idir Béitéil agus Háí, laistiar den chathair.
12 Y tomó como cinco mil hombres, y púsolos en emboscada entre Beth-el y Hai, á la parte occidental de la ciudad.
12 Er hatte aber bei fünftausend Mann genommen und auf den Hinterhalt gestellt zwischen Beth-El und Ai abendwärts von der Stadt.
13 So all the people were in their places, the army on the north side of the town and the secret force on the west; and that night Joshua went down into the valley.
13 Après que tout le camp eut pris position au nord de la ville, et l'embuscade à l'occident de la ville, Josué s'avança cette nuit-là au milieu de la vallée.
13 Sin mar a suíodh an slua - campa an phobail lastuaidh den chathair agus lucht an luíocháin laistiar di; chaith Iósua an oíche sin sa ghleann féin.
13 Y el pueblo, todo el campo que estaba á la parte del norte de la ciudad, colocado ya cerca, y su emboscada al occidente de la ciudad, vínose Josué aquella noche al medio del valle.
13 Und sie stellten das Volk des ganzen Lagers, das gegen Mitternacht vor der Stadt war, also, daß sein letztes reichte bis gegen den Abend von der Stadt. Und Josua ging hin in derselben Nacht mitten in das Tal.
14 Now when the king of Ai saw it, he got up quickly and went out to war against Israel, he and all his people, to the slope going down to the valley; but he had no idea that a secret force was waiting at the back of the town.
14 Lorsque le roi d'Aï vit cela, les gens d'Aï se levèrent en hâte de bon matin, et sortirent à la rencontre d'Israël, pour le combattre. Le roi se dirigea, avec tout son peuple, vers un lieu fixé, du côté de la plaine, et il ne savait pas qu'il y avait derrière la ville une embuscade contre lui.
14 Nuair a chonaic rí Háí conas mar a bhí, bhrostaigh sé féin agus a mhuintir go léir, lucht na cathrach, amach go moch ar maidin chun clann Iosrael a ionsaí ar an bhfána i dtreo an Arabá. Ní raibh a fhios aige go rabhthas i luíochán air laistiar den chathair.
14 Lo cual como viese el rey de Hai, levantóse prestamente de mañana, y salió con la gente de la ciudad contra Israel, él y todo su pueblo, para combatir por el llano al tiempo señalado, no sabiendo que le estaba puesta emboscada á las espaldas de la ciudad.
14 Als aber der König zu Ai das sah, eilten die Männer der Stadt und machten sich früh auf und zogen heraus, Israel zu begegnen im Streit, er mit allem seinem Volk, an einem bestimmten Ort vor dem Gefilde. Denn er wußte nicht, daß ihm ein Hinterhalt gelegt war hinter der Stadt.
15 Then Joshua and all Israel, acting as if they were overcome before them, went in flight by way of the waste land.
15 Josué et tout Israël feignirent d'être battus devant eux, et ils s'enfuirent par le chemin du désert.
15 Lig Iósua agus clann Iosrael go léir orthu go rabhthas á gcloí acu agus theitheadar i dtreo an fhásaigh.
15 Entonces Josué y todo Israel, haciéndose vencidos, huyeron delante de ellos por el camino del desierto.
15 Josua aber und ganz Israel stellten sich, als würden sie geschlagen vor ihnen und flohen auf dem Weg zur Wüste.
16 And all the people in Ai came together to go after them; and they went after Joshua, moving away from the town.
16 Alors tout le peuple qui était dans la ville s'assembla pour se mettre à leur poursuite. Ils poursuivirent Josué, et ils furent attirés loin de la ville.
16 Glaodh ar a raibh sa chathair chun dul sa tóir orthu agus nuair a chuadar sa tóir ar Iósua d'fhágadar an chathair féin gan chosaint.
16 Y todo el pueblo que estaba en Hai se juntó para seguirlos: y siguieron á Josué, siendo así arrancados de la ciudad.
16 Da ward das ganze Volk in der Stadt zuhauf gerufen, daß es ihnen sollte nachjagen.
17 There was not a man in Ai and Beth-el who did not go out after Israel; and the town was open and unwatched while they went after Israel.
17 Il n'y eut dans Aï et dans Béthel pas un homme qui ne sortit contre Israël. Ils laissèrent la ville ouverte, et poursuivirent Israël.
17 Níor fágadh fear i Háí [ná i mBéitéil] nár ghabh amach ar thóir Iosrael; d'fhágadar an chathair ar leathadh agus leanadar Iosrael.
17 Y no quedó hombre en Hai y Beth-el, que no saliera tras de Israel; y por seguir á Israel dejaron la ciudad abierta.
17 Und sie jagten Josua nach und wurden von der Stadt hinweggerissen, daß nicht ein Mann übrigblieb in Ai und Beth-El, der nicht ausgezogen wäre, Israel nachzujagen; und ließen die Stadt offen stehen, daß sie Israel nachjagten.
18 And the Lord said to Joshua, Let your spear be stretched out against Ai; for I will give it into your hands. So Joshua took up his spear, stretching it out in the direction of the town.
18 L'Éternel dit à Josué: Étends vers Aï le javelot que tu as à la main, car je vais la livrer en ton pouvoir. Et Josué étendit vers la ville le javelot qu'il avait à la main.
18 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Iósua: “Sín an ga atá i do láimh i gcoinne Háí óir táim ar tí í a thabhairt i do láimh duit.” Agus shín Iósua an ga a bhí ina láimh aige i gcoinne na cathrach.
18 Entonces Jehová dijo á Josué: Levanta la lanza que tienes en tu mano hacia Hai, porque yo la entregaré en tu mano. Y Josué levantó hacia la ciudad la lanza que en su mano tenía.
18 Da sprach der HERR zu Josua: Recke aus die Lanze in deiner Hand gegen Ai; denn ich will sie in deine Hand geben. Und da Josua die Lanze in seiner Hand gegen die Stadt ausreckte,
19 Then the secret force came quickly from their place, and running forward when they saw his hand stretched out, went into the town and took it, and put fire to it straight away.
19 Aussitôt qu'il eut étendu sa main, les hommes en embuscade sortirent précipitamment du lieu où ils étaient; ils pénétrèrent dans la ville, la prirent, et se hâtèrent d'y mettre le feu.
19 A luaithe a shín sé a lámh d'éirigh lucht an luíocháin go mear as a láthair agus ritheadar ar aghaidh agus isteach sa chathair leo; ghabhadar í agus chuireadar trí thine í gan mhoill.
19 Y levantándose prestamente de su lugar los que estaban en la emboscada, corrieron luego que él alzó su mano, y vinieron á la ciudad, y la tomaron, y apresuráronse á prenderle fuego.
19 da brach der Hinterhalt eilends auf aus seinem Ort, und liefen, nachdem er seine Hand ausreckte und kamen in die Stadt und gewannen sie und eilten und steckten sie mit Feuer an.
20 Then the men of Ai, looking back, saw the smoke of the town going up to heaven, and were unable to go this way or that: and the people who had gone in flight to the waste land were turned back on those who were coming after them.
20 Les gens d'Aï, ayant regardé derrière eux, virent la fumée de la ville monter vers le ciel, et ils ne purent se sauver d'aucun côté. Le peuple qui fuyait vers le désert se retourna contre ceux qui le poursuivaient;
20 Nuair a d'fhéach muintir Háí siar chonaiceadar an deatach ag éirí ón gcathair chun na spéire; ní raibh breith acu ar theitheadh mar seo ná mar siúd, mar an mhuintir a theith i dtreo an fhásaigh, d'fhilleadar ar ais ar an tóir.
20 Y como los de la ciudad miraron atrás, observaron, y he aquí el humo de la ciudad que subía al cielo, y no tuvieron arbitrio para huir ni á una parte ni á otra: y el pueblo que iba huyendo hacia el desierto, se volvió contra los que le seguían.
20 Und die Männer von Ai wandten sich und sahen hinter sich und sahen den Rauch der Stadt aufgehen gen Himmel und hatten nicht Raum zu fliehen, weder hin noch her. Und das Volk, das zur Wüste floh, kehrte sich um gegen die, so ihnen nachjagten.
21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the town had been taken by the surprise attack, and that the smoke of the town had gone up, turning round they overcame the men of Ai.
21 car Josué et tout Israël, voyant la ville prise par les hommes de l'embuscade, et la fumée de la ville qui montait, se retournèrent et battirent les gens d'Aï.
21 Nuair a chonaic Iósua agus clann Iosrael go léir go raibh an chathair gafa ag lucht an luíocháin, agus deatach na cathrach ag éirí in airde, d'iompaíodar ar ais agus d'ionsaíodar muintir Háí.
21 Josué y todo Israel, viendo que los de la emboscada habían tomado la ciudad, y que el humo de la ciudad subía, tornaron, é hirieron á los de Hai.
21 Denn da Josua und das ganze Israel sah, daß der Hinterhalt die Stadt gewonnen hatte, weil der Stadt Rauch aufging, kehrten sie wieder um und schlugen die Männer von Ai.
22 Then the other force came out of the town against them, so that they were being attacked on this side and on that: and Israel overcame them and let not one of them get away with his life.
22 Les autres sortirent de la ville à leur rencontre, et les gens d'Aï furent enveloppés par Israël de toutes parts. Israël les battit, sans leur laisser un survivant ni un fuyard;
22 Tháinig an dream eile amach as an gcathair ina n‑aghaidh chomh maith i dtreo go rabhadar teanntaithe ag na hIosraelaigh, cuid díobh seo ar thaobh agus an chuid eile ar an taobh eile. Thugadar fúthu go dtí nár fágadh fuíoll áir ná fear inste scéil díobh,
22 Y los otros salieron de la ciudad á su encuentro: y así fueron encerrados en medio de Israel, los unos de la una parte, y los otros de la otra. Y los hirieron hasta que no quedó ninguno de ellos que escapase.
22 Und die in der Stadt kamen auch heraus ihnen entgegen, daß sie mitten unter Israel kamen, von dorther und von hierher; und schlugen sie, bis daß niemand unter ihnen übrigblieb noch entrinnen konnte,
23 But the king of Ai they made prisoner, and took him to Joshua.
23 ils prirent vivant le roi d'Aï, et l'amenèrent à Josué.
23 ach gur gabhadh rí Háí ina bheatha agus gur tugadh go Iósua é.
23 Y tomaron vivo al rey de Hai, y trajéronle á Josué.
23 und griffen den König zu Ai lebendig und brachten ihn zu Josua.
24 Then, after the destruction of all the people of Ai in the field and in the waste land where they went after them, and when all the people had been put to death without mercy, all Israel went back to Ai, and put to death all who were in it without mercy.
24 Lorsqu'Israël eut achevé de tuer tous les habitants d'Aï dans la campagne, dans le désert, où ils l'avaient poursuivi, et que tous furent entièrement passés au fil de l'épée, tout Israël revint vers Aï et la frappa du tranchant de l'épée.
24 Nuair a bhí deireadh ag clann Iosrael ag eirleach mhuintir Háí go léir sa mhachaire agus san fhásach mar ar chuireadar i raon madhma iad, agus nach raibh duine díobh nach raibh sínte marbh de rinn claímh, d'fhill clann Iosrael go léir ar Háí agus d'imríodar faobhar claímh uirthi.
24 Y cuando los Israelitas acabaron de matar á todos los moradores de Hai en el campo, en el desierto, donde ellos los habían perseguido, y que todos habían caído á filo de espada hasta ser consumidos, todos los Israelitas se tornaron á Hai, y también la pusieron á cuchillo.
24 Und da Israel alle Einwohner zu Ai erwürgt hatte auf dem Felde und in der Wüste, die ihnen nachgejagt hatten, und alle durch die Schärfe des Schwertes fielen, bis daß sie alle umkamen, da kehrte sich ganz Israel gegen Ai und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts.
25 On that day twelve thousand were put to death, men and women, all the people of Ai.
25 Il y eut au total douze mille personnes tuées ce jour-là, hommes et femmes, tous gens d'Aï.
25 Ba é líon na ndaoine a thit an lá sin, idir fhir agus mhná, dhá mhíle dhéag. De mhuintir Háí iad uile.
25 Y el número de los que cayeron aquel día, hombres y mujeres, fué doce mil, todos los de Hai.
25 Und alle, die des Tages fielen, beide Männer und Weiber, der waren zwölftausend, alles Leute von Ai.
26 For Joshua did not take back his hand with the outstretched spear till the destruction of the people of Ai was complete.
26 Josué ne retira point sa main qu'il tenait étendue avec le javelot, jusqu'à ce que tous les habitants eussent été dévoués par interdit.
26 Níor tharraing Iósua ar ais an lámh lenar shín sé an ga nó gur scrios sé lucht Háí go léir.
26 Y Josué no retrajo su mano que había extendido con la lanza, hasta que hubo destruído á todos los moradores de Hai.
26 Josua aber zog nicht wieder zurück seine Hand, mit der er die Lanze ausgereckt hatte, bis daß verbannt wurden alle Einwohner Ais.
27 But the cattle and the goods from that town, Israel took for themselves, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua.
27 Seulement Israël garda pour lui le bétail et le butin de cette ville, selon l'ordre que l'Éternel avait prescrit à Josué.
27 Níor thug clann Iosrael leo mar chreach as an gcathair sin ach a heallach agus a héadáil de réir an ordaithe a thug an Tiarna do Iósua.
27 Empero los Israelitas tomaron para sí las bestias y los despojos de la ciudad, conforme á la palabra de Jehová que él había mandado á Josué.
27 Nur das Vieh und den Raub der Stadt teilte Israel aus unter sich nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er Josua geboten hatte.
28 So Joshua gave Ai to the flames, and made it a waste mass of stones for ever, as it is to this day.
28 Josué brûla Aï, et en fit à jamais un monceau de ruines, qui subsiste encore aujourd'hui.
28 Loisc Iósua Háí agus d'fhág ina fothrach follamh í go brach, mar atá sí inniu féin.
28 Y Josué quemó á Hai y redújola á un montón perpetuo, asolado hasta hoy.
28 Und Josua brannte Ai aus und machte einen Haufen daraus ewiglich, der noch heute daliegt,
29 And he put the king of Ai to death, hanging him on a tree till evening: and when the sun went down, Joshua gave them orders to take his body down from the tree, and put it in the public place of the town, covering it with a great mass of stones, which is there to this day.
29 Il fit pendre à un bois le roi d'Aï, et l'y laissa jusqu'au soir. Au coucher du soleil, Josué ordonna qu'on descendît son cadavre du bois; on le jeta à l'entrée de la porte de la ville, et l'on éleva sur lui un grand monceau de pierres, qui subsiste encore aujourd'hui.

29 Mas al rey de Hai colgó de un madero hasta la tarde: y como el sol se puso, mandó Josué que quitasen del madero su cuerpo, y lo echasen á la puerta de la ciudad: y levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, hasta hoy.
29 und ließ den König zu Ai an einen Baum hängen bis an den Abend. Da aber die Sonne war untergegangen, gebot er, daß man seinen Leichnam vom Baum täte, und sie warfen ihn unter der Stadt Tor und machten einen großen Steinhaufen auf ihn, der bis auf diesen Tag da ist.
30 Then Joshua put up an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, in Mount Ebal,

31 In the way ordered by Moses, the servant of the Lord, as it is recorded in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of uncut stones, untouched by any iron instrument: and on it they made burned offerings and peace-offerings to the Lord.
31 comme Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, l'avait ordonné aux enfants d'Israël, et comme il est écrit dans le livre de la loi de Moïse: c'était un autel de pierres brutes, sur lesquelles on ne porta point le fer. Ils offrirent sur cet autel des holocaustes à l'Éternel, et ils présentèrent des sacrifices d'actions de grâces.
31 faoi mar a d'ordaigh Maois óglach an Tiarna do chlann Iosrael de réir mar atá scríofa i leabhar dhlí Mhaois, “altóir de chlocha nár snoíodh agus nár luigh aon uirlis iarainn riamh orthu”; agus d'ofráladar íobairtí dóite uirthi don Tiarna agus íobairtí comaoineach chomh maith.
31 Como Moisés, siervo de Jehová, lo había mandado á los hijos de Israel, como está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, un altar de piedras enteras sobre las cuales nadie alzó hierro: y ofrecieron sobre él holocaustos á Jehová, y sacrificaron víctimas pacíficas.
31 (wie Mose der Knecht des HERRN, geboten hatte den Kindern Israel, wie geschrieben steht im Gesetzbuch Mose's: einen Altar von ganzen Steinen, die mit keinem Eisen behauen waren) und opferte dem HERRN darauf Brandopfer und Dankopfer
32 And he made there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, writing it before the eyes of the children of Israel.
32 Et là Josué écrivit sur les pierres une copie de la loi que Moïse avait écrite devant les enfants d'Israël.

32 También escribió allí en piedras la repetición de la ley de Moisés, la cual él había escrito delante de los hijos de Israel.
32 und schrieb daselbst auf die Steine das andere Gesetz, das Mose den Kindern Israel vorgeschrieben hatte.
33 And all Israel, those who were Israelites by birth, as well as the men from other lands living with them, and their responsible men and their overseers and judges, took their places round the ark, in front of the priests, the Levites, whose work it was to take up the ark of the Lord's agreement; half of them were stationed in front of Mount Gerizim and half in front of Mount Ebal, in agreement with the orders for the blessing of the children of Israel which Moses, the servant of the Lord, had given.
33 Tout Israël, ses anciens, ses officiers et ses juges, se tenaient des deux côtés de l'arche, devant les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel; les étrangers comme les enfants d'Israël étaient là, moitié du côté du mont Garizim, moitié du côté du mont Ébal, selon l'ordre qu'avait précédemment donné Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, de bénir le peuple d'Israël.
33 Ansin Iosrael go léir, deoraí agus dúchasach, idir sheanóirí agus scríobhaithe agus bhreithiúna - sheas siad ar dhá thaobh na háirce os comhair na sagart Léivíteach a bhí ag iompar áirc chonradh an Tiarna; bhí leath díobh os coinne Shliabh Ghirizím agus leath os coinne Shliabh Éabál faoi mar a d'ordaigh Maois óglach an Tiarna de chéaduair do bheannú phobal Iosrael.
33 Y todo Israel, y sus ancianos, oficiales, y jueces, estaban de la una y de la otra parte junto al arca, delante de los sacerdotes Levitas que llevan el arca del pacto de Jehová; así extranjeros como naturales, la mitad de ellos estaba hacia el monte de Gerizim, y la otra mitad hacia el monte de Ebal; de la manera que Moisés, siervo de Jehová, lo había mandado antes, para que bendijesen primeramente al pueblo de Israel.
33 Und das ganze Israel mit seinen Ältesten und Amtleuten und Richtern standen zu beiden Seiten der Lade, gegenüber den Priestern aus Levi, die die Lade des Bundes des HERRN trugen, die Fremdlinge sowohl wie die Einheimischen, eine Hälfte neben dem Berge Garizim und die andere Hälfte neben dem Berge Ebal, wie Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, vormals geboten hatte zu segnen das Volk Israel.
34 And after, he gave them all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, as it is all recorded in the book of the law;

35 Reading to all the meeting of Israel, with the women and the children and the men from other lands who were living among them, every word of the orders which Moses had given.
35 Il n'y eut rien de tout ce que Moïse avait prescrit, que Josué ne lût en présence de toute l'assemblée d'Israël, des femmes et des enfants, et des étrangers qui marchaient au milieu d'eux.
