1 But the children of Israel did wrong about the cursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the family of Judah, took of the cursed thing, moving the Lord to wrath against the children of Israel.
1 Les enfants d'Israël commirent une infidélité au sujet des choses dévouées par interdit. Acan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérach, de la tribu de Juda, prit des choses dévouées. Et la colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma contre les enfants d'Israël.
1 Ach sháraigh clann Iosrael an bang go héagórach. Ácán mac Chairmí mac Zaibdí mac Zearach de threibh Iúdá, leag sé lámh ar rud a tháinig faoin mbang, agus las fearg an Tiarna i gcoinne na nIosraelach.
1 Empero los hijos de Israel cometieron prevaricación en el anatema: porque Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá, tomó del anatema; y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra los hijos de Israel.
1 Aber die Kinder Israel vergriffen sich an dem Verbannten; denn Achan, der Sohn Charmis, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Serahs, vom Stamm Juda nahm des Verbannten etwas. Da ergrimmte der Zorn des HERRN über die Kinder Israel.
2 Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is by the side of Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and said to them, Go up and make a search through the land. And the men went up and saw how Ai was placed.
2 Josué envoya de Jéricho des hommes vers Aï, qui est près de Beth Aven, à l'orient de Béthel. Il leur dit: Montez, et explorez le pays. Et ces hommes montèrent, et explorèrent Aï.
2 Sheol Iósua buíon fear ó Ireachó go Háí [atá láimh le Béit Ávan] lastoir de Bhéitéil; dúirt sé leo: “Téigí suas agus déanaigí an tír a bhrath.” Ghabh na fir suas agus rinneadar Háí a bhrath.
2 Y Josué envió hombres desde Jericó á Hai, que estaba junto á Beth-aven hacia el oriente de Beth-el; y hablóles diciendo: Subid, y reconoced la tierra. Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron á Hai.
2 Und Josua sandte Männer aus von Jericho gen Ai, das bei Beth-Aven liegt, gegen Morgen vor Beth-El, und sprach zu ihnen: Geht hinauf und erkundet das Land! Und da sie hinaufgegangen waren und Ai erkundet hatten,
3 Then they came back to Joshua and said to him, Do not send all the people up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and make an attack on Ai; there is no need for all the people to be tired with the journey there, for it is only a small town.
3 Ils revinrent auprès de Josué, et lui dirent: Il est inutile de faire marcher tout le peuple; deux ou trois mille hommes suffiront pour battre Aï; ne donne pas cette fatigue à tout le peuple, car ils sont en petit nombre.
3 D'fhilleadar ar Iósua agus dúradar leis: “Ná téadh an mhuintir ar fad suas, ach déanadh dhá mhíle nó trí ionsaí ar Háí. Ná cuir ualach an tsaothair sin ar an bpobal ar fad; ní mór díobh siúd ann.”
3 Y volviendo á Josué, dijéronle: No suba todo el pueblo, mas suban como dos mil ó como tres mil hombre, y tomarán á Hai: no fatigues á todo el pueblo allí, porque son pocos.
3 kamen sie wieder zu Josua und sprachen zu ihm: Laß nicht das ganze Volk hinaufziehen, sondern bei zwei-oder dreitausend Mann, daß sie hinaufziehen und schlagen Ai, daß nicht das ganze Volk sich daselbst bemühe; denn ihrer ist wenig.
4 So about three thousand of the people went up, and were sent in flight by the men of Ai.
4 Trois mille hommes environ se mirent en marche, mais ils prirent la fuite devant les gens d'Aï.
4 Ghabh timpeall trí mhíle den phobal suas dá bhrí sin, ach chuir muintir Háí an teitheadh orthu.
4 Y subieron allá del pueblo como tres mil hombres, los cuales huyeron delante de los de Hai.
4 Also zogen hinauf des Volks bei dreitausend Mann, und sie flohen vor den Männern zu Ai.
5 The men of Ai put to death about thirty-six of them, driving them from before the town as far as the stoneworks, and overcoming them on the way down: and the hearts of the people became like water.
5 Les gens d'Aï leur tuèrent environ trente-six hommes; ils les poursuivirent depuis la porte jusqu'à Schebarim, et les battirent à la descente. Le peuple fut consterné et perdit courage.
5 Mharaigh muintir Háí timpeall seisear déag ar fhichid díobh; ruaigeadar iad ó gheata na cathrach chomh fada le Seabáraím agus phleancadar iad agus iad ag dul le fána. Thit an lug ar an lag ar an bpobal agus theip ar fad ar a misneach.
5 Y los de Hai hirieron de ellos como treinta y seis hombre, y siguiéronlos desde la puerta hasta Sebarim, y los rompieron en la bajada: por lo que se disolvió el corazón del pueblo, y vino á ser como agua.
5 Und die von Ai schlugen ihrer bei sechsunddreißig Mann und jagten sie vor dem Tor bis gen Sabarim und schlugen sie den Weg herab. Da ward dem Volk das Herz verzagt und ward zu Wasser.
6 Then Joshua, in great grief, went down on the earth before the ark of the Lord till the evening, and all the chiefs of Israel with him, and they put dust on their heads.
6 Josué déchira ses vêtements, et se prosterna jusqu'au soir le visage contre terre devant l'arche de l'Éternel, lui et les anciens d'Israël, et ils se couvrirent la tête de poussière.
6 Stoll Iósua a chuid éadaigh agus chaith é féin ar a bhéal agus ar a fhiacla os comhair áirc an Tiarna go tráthnóna; rinne seanóirí Iosrael mar an gcéanna agus chaitheadar uile luaithreach ar a gceann.
6 Entonces Josué rompió sus vestidos, y postróse en tierra sobre su rostro delante del arca de Jehová hasta la tarde, él y los ancianos de Israel; y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas.
6 Josua aber zerriß seine Kleider und fiel auf sein Angesicht zur Erde vor der Lade des HERRN bis auf den Abend samt den Ältesten Israels, und sie warfen Staub auf ihre Häupter.
7 And Joshua said, O Lord God, why have you taken us over Jordan only to give us up into the hands of the Amorites for our destruction? If only it had been enough for us to keep on the other side of Jordan!
7 Josué dit: Ah! Seigneur Éternel, pourquoi as-tu fait passer le Jourdain à ce peuple, pour nous livrer entre les mains des Amoréens et nous faire périr? Oh! si nous eussions su rester de l'autre côté du Jourdain!
7 “Uch, a Thiarna Dia,” arsa Iósua, “cad a ba áil leat an mhuintir seo a thabhairt thar Iordáin ar aon chor d'fhonn sinn a thabhairt ar láimh do na hAmóraigh le scrios? Nárbh fhearr dúinn bheith sásta agus cur fuinn lastall den Iordáin!
7 Y Josué dijo: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ¿Por qué hiciste pasar á este pueblo el Jordán, para entregarnos en las manos de los Amorrheos, que nos destruyan? ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado de la otra parte del Jordán!
7 Und Josua sprach: Ach HERR HERR, warum hast du dies Volk über den Jordan geführt, daß du uns in die Hände der Amoriter gäbest, uns umzubringen? O, daß wir's uns hätten gefallen lassen, jenseit des Jordans zu bleiben!
8 O Lord, what am I to say now that Israel have given way before their attackers?
8 De grâce, Seigneur, que dirai-je, après qu'Israël a tourné le dos devant ses ennemis?
8 Cad tá le rá agam nuair atá a ndroim tugtha ag Iosrael lena naimhde?
8 ¡Ay Señor! ¿qué diré, ya que Israel ha vuelto las espaldas delante de sus enemigos?
8 Ach, mein HERR, was soll ich sagen, weil Israel seinen Feinden den Rücken kehrt?
9 For when the news comes to the Canaanites and all the people of the land, they will come up, shutting us in and cutting off our name from the earth: and what will you do for the honour of your great name?
9 Les Cananéens et tous les habitants du pays l'apprendront; ils nous envelopperont, et ils feront disparaître notre nom de la terre. Et que feras-tu pour ton grand nom?
9 Óir cluinfidh na Canánaigh agus na dúchasaigh uile ina thaobh; cuirfidh siad le chéile inár n‑aghaidh agus scriosfaidh siad ár n‑ainm de chlár na talún. Cad a dhéanfaidh tú ar son d'ainm mhóir?”
9 Porque los Cananeos y todos los moradores de la tierra oirán, y nos cercarán, y raerán nuestro nombre de sobre la tierra: entonces ¿qué harás tú á tu grande nombre?
9 Wenn das die Kanaaniter und alle Einwohner des Landes hören, so werden sie uns umbringen und auch unsern Namen ausrotten von der Erde. Was willst du denn für deinen großen Namen tun?
10 Then the Lord said to Joshua, Get up; what are you doing with your face to the earth?
10 L'Éternel dit à Josué: Lève-toi! Pourquoi restes-tu ainsi couché sur ton visage?
10 D'fhreagair an Tiarna Iósua: “Bí i do sheasamh! Cad ab áil leat a bheith caite mar sin ar do bhéal agus ar d'fhiacla?
10 Y Jehová dijo á Josué: Levántate; ¿por qué te postras así sobre tu rostro?
10 Da sprach der HERR zu Josua: Stehe auf! Warum liegst du also auf deinem Angesicht?
11 Israel has done wrong, sinning against the agreement which I made with them: they have even taken of the cursed thing; acting falsely like thieves they have put it among their goods.
11 Israël a péché; ils ont transgressé mon alliance que je leur ai prescrite, ils ont pris des choses dévouées par interdit, ils les ont dérobées et ont dissimulé, et ils les ont cachées parmi leurs bagages.
11 Rinne Iosrael peaca; sháraíodar an conradh a d'ordaigh mé dóibh; thógadar nithe a bhí curtha faoin mbang; rinneadar iad a ghoid, a cheilt agus a chur ina mála.
11 Israel ha pecado, y aun han quebrantado mi pacto que yo les había mandado; pues aun han tomado del anatema, y hasta han hurtado, y también han mentido, y aun lo han guardado entre sus enseres.
11 Israel hat sich versündigt, sie haben meinen Bund übertreten, den ich ihnen angeboten habe, und haben des Verbannten etwas genommen und gestohlen und es verleugnet und unter eure Geräte gelegt.
12 For this reason the children of Israel have given way, turning their backs in flight before their attackers, because they are cursed: I will no longer be with you, if you do not put the cursed thing away from among you.
12 Aussi les enfants d'Israël ne peuvent-ils résister à leurs ennemis; ils tourneront le dos devant leurs ennemis, car ils sont sous l'interdit; je ne serai plus avec vous, si vous ne détruisez pas l'interdit du milieu de vous.
12 Sin é an fáth nach féidir le clann Iosrael seasamh in aghaidh a naimhde; thugadar droim lena naimhde mar go bhfuil siad féin tagtha faoin mbang. Ní fhanfaidh mé faraibh a thuilleadh mura ndéanfaidh sibh a bhfuil faoin mbang a dhíbirt as bhur measc.
12 Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán estar delante de sus enemigos, sino que delante de sus enemigos volverán las espaldas; por cuanto han venido á ser anatema: ni seré más con vosotros, si no destruyereis el anatema de en medio de vosotros.
12 Die Kinder Israel können nicht stehen vor ihren Feinden, sondern müssen ihren Feinden den Rücken kehren; denn sie sind im Bann. Ich werde hinfort nicht mit euch sein, wo ihr nicht den Bann aus euch vertilgt.
13 Up! make the people holy; say to them, Make yourselves holy before tomorrow, for the Lord, the God of Israel, has said, There is a cursed thing among you, O Israel, and you will give way before your attackers in the fight till the cursed thing has been taken away from among you.
13 Lève-toi, sanctifie le peuple. Tu diras: Sanctifiez-vous pour demain; car ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Il y a de l'interdit au milieu de toi, Israël; tu ne pourras résister à tes ennemis, jusqu'à ce que vous ayez ôté l'interdit du milieu de vous.
13 Éirigh agus naomhaigh an pobal agus abair leo: ‘Naomhaígí sibh féin i gcomhair an lae amáraigh; mar deir an Tiarna Dia Iosrael: “Tá nithe atá faoin mbang in bhur measc féin; ní féidir daoibh choíche seasamh in aghaidh bhur naimhde nó go ndéanann sibh a bhfuil faoin mbang a scrios as bhur measc.”
13 Levántate, santifica al pueblo, y di: Santificaos para mañana, porque Jehová el Dios de Israel dice así: Anatema hay en medio de ti, Israel; no podrás estar delante de tus enemigos, hasta tanto que hayáis quitado el anatema de en medio de vosotros.
13 Stehe auf und heilige das Volk und sprich: Heiligt euch auf morgen. Denn also sagte der HERR, der Gott Israels: Es ist ein Bann unter dir Israel; darum kannst du nicht stehen vor deinen Feinden, bis daß ihr den Bann von euch tut.
14 So in the morning you are to come near, tribe by tribe; and the tribe marked out by the Lord is to come near, family by family; and the family marked out by the Lord is to come near, house by house; and the house marked out by the Lord is to come near, man by man.
14 Vous vous approcherez le matin selon vos tribus; et la tribu que désignera l'Éternel s'approchera par famille, et la famille que désignera l'Éternel s'approchera par maisons, et la maison que désignera l'Éternel s'approchera par hommes.
14 Tagaigí i láthair dá bhrí sin ar maidin treibh ar threibh; agus an treibh ar a dtitfidh crann an Tiarna tagaidís i láthair fine ar fhine; agus an fine ar a dtitfidh crann an Tiarna, tagaidís i láthair teaghlach ar theaghlach; agus an teaghlach ar a dtitfidh crann an Tiarna, tagaidís i láthair duine ar dhuine.
14 Os allegaréis, pues, mañana por vuestras tribus; y la tribu que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus familias; y la familia que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus casas; y la casa que Jehová tomare, allegaráse por los varones;
14 Und sollt euch früh herzumachen, ein Stamm nach dem andern; und welchen Stamm der HERR treffen wird, der soll sich herzumachen, ein Geschlecht nach dem andern; und welch Geschlecht der HERR treffen wird, das soll sich herzumachen, ein Haus nach dem andern; und welch Haus der HERR treffen wird, das soll sich herzumachen, ein Hauswirt nach dem andern.
15 Then the man who is taken with the cursed thing is to be burned, with everything which is his; because he has gone against the agreement of the Lord and has done an act of shame in Israel.
15 Celui qui sera désigné comme ayant pris de ce qui était dévoué par interdit sera brûlé au feu, lui et tout ce qui lui appartient, pour avoir transgressé l'alliance de l'Éternel et commis une infamie en Israël.
15 An té a ghabhfar, agus ní atá faoin mbang ina sheilbh aige, loisctear sa tine é, é féin agus a bhfuil aige, mar gur sháraigh sé conradh an Tiarna agus go ndearna sé rud náireach in Iosrael.’ ”
15 Y el que fuere cogido en el anatema, será quemado á fuego, él y todo lo que tiene, por cuanto ha quebrantado el pacto de Jehová, y ha cometido maldad en Israel.
15 Und welcher gefunden wird im Bann, den soll man mit Feuer verbrennen mit allem, was er hat, darum daß er den Bund des HERRN übertreten und eine Torheit in Israel begangen hat.
16 So Joshua got up early in the morning, and made Israel come before him by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken;
16 Josué se leva de bon matin, et il fit approcher Israël selon ses tribus, et la tribu de Juda fut désignée.
16 D'éirigh Iósua go moch ar maidin agus thug Iosrael leis treibh ar threibh agus thit an crann ar threibh Iúdá.
16 Josué, pues, levantándose de mañana, hizo allegar á Israel por sus tribus; y fué tomada la tribu de Judá;
16 Da machte sich Josua des Morgens früh auf und brachte Israel herzu, einen Stamm nach dem andern; und es ward getroffen der Stamm Juda.
17 Then he made Judah come forward, and the family of the Zerahites was taken; and he made the family of the Zerahites come forward man by man; and Zabdi was taken;
17 Il fit approcher les familles de Juda, et la famille de Zérach fut désignée. Il fit approcher la famille de Zérach par maisons, et Zabdi fut désigné.
17 Thug sé leis finí Iúdá agus thit an crann ar fhine Zearach. Thug sé leis fine Zearach teaghlach ar theaghlach agus thit an crann ar theaghlach Zaibdí.
17 Y haciendo allegar la tribu de Judá, fué tomada la familia de los de Zera; haciendo luego allegar la familia de los de Zera por los varones, fué tomado Zabdi;
17 Und da er die Geschlechter in Juda herzubrachte, ward getroffen das Geschlecht der Serahiter. Und da er das Geschlecht der Serahiter herzubrachte, einen Hauswirt nach dem andern, ward Sabdi getroffen.
18 Then the house of Zabdi came forward man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.
18 Il fit approcher la maison de Zabdi par hommes, et Acan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérach, de la tribu de Juda, fut désigné.
18 Ansin thug sé leis teaghlach Zaibdí, duine ar dhuine, agus thit an crann ar Ácán mac Chairmí mac Zaibdí mac Zearach.
18 E hizo allegar su casa por los varones, y fué tomado Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá.
18 Und da er sein Haus herzubrachte, einen Wirt nach dem andern, ward getroffen Achan, der Sohn Charmis, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Serahs, aus dem Stamm Juda.
19 And Joshua said to Achan, My son, give glory and praise to the Lord, the God of Israel; give me word now of what you have done, and keep nothing back from me.
19 Josué dit à Acan: Mon fils, donne gloire à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, et rends-lui hommage. Dis-moi donc ce que tu as fait, ne me le cache point.
19 Ansin dúirt Iósua le hÁcán: “Tabhair glóir don Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, a mhic, agus mol é; inis dom a bhfuil déanta agat agus ná ceil aon ní orm.”
19 Entonces Josué dijo á Achân: Hijo mío, da gloria ahora á Jehová el Dios de Israel, y dale alabanza, y declárame ahora lo que has hecho; no me lo encubras.
19 Und Josua sprach zu Achan: Mein Sohn, gib dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, die Ehre und gib ihm das Lob und sage mir an: Was hast du getan? und leugne mir nichts.
20 And Achan, answering, said to Joshua, Truly I have done wrong against the Lord, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done:
20 Acan répondit à Josué, et dit: Il est vrai que j'ai péché contre l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, et voici ce que j'ai fait.
20 Thug Ácán freagra ar Iósua: “Pheacaigh mé, pheacaigh sin, in aghaidh an Tiarna Dia Iosrael, agus seo mar rinne mé:
20 Y Achân respondió á Josué, diciendo: Verdaderamente yo he pecado contra Jehová el Dios de Israel, y he hecho así y así:
20 Da antwortete Achan Josua und sprach: Wahrlich, ich habe mich versündigt an dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels. Also und also habe ich getan:
21 When I saw among their goods a fair robe of Babylon and two hundred shekels of silver, and a mass of gold, fifty shekels in weight, I was overcome by desire and took them; and they are put away in the earth in my tent, and the silver is under it.
21 J'ai vu dans le butin un beau manteau de Schinear, deux cent sicles d'argent, et un lingot d'or du poids de cinquante sicles; je les ai convoités, et je les ai pris; ils sont cachés dans la terre au milieu de ma tente, et l'argent est dessous.
21 Nuair a chonaic mé, i measc na creiche, fallaing bhreá ó Shionár, agus dhá chéad seicil airgid, agus barra óir leathchéad seicil, chuir mé dúil iontu agus thóg mé iad. Tá siad i bhfolach, féach, faoin talamh istigh i mo bhoth; tá an t‑airgead in íochtar.”
21 Que vi entre los despojos un manto babilónico muy bueno, y doscientos siclos de plata, y un changote de oro de peso de cincuenta siclos; lo cual codicié, y tomé: y he aquí que está escondido debajo de tierra en el medio de mi tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello.
21 ich sah unter dem Raub einen köstlichen babylonischen Mantel und zweihundert Silberlinge und eine goldene Stange, fünfzig Lot am Gewicht; des gelüstete mich, und ich nahm es. Und siehe es ist verscharrt in die Erde in meiner Hütte und das Silber darunter.
22 So Joshua sent men quickly, and looking in his tent, they saw where the robe had been put away secretly with the silver under it.
22 Josué envoya des gens, qui coururent à la tente; et voici, les objets étaient cachés dans la tente d'Acan, et l'argent était dessous.
22 Chuir Iósua teachtairí uaidh agus ritheadar seo chun na botha. Bhí an fhallaing i bhfolach sa bhoth agus an t‑airgead thíos fúithi.
22 Josué entonces envió mensajeros, los cuales fueron corriendo á la tienda; y he aquí estaba escondido en su tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello:
22 Da sandte Josua Boten hin, die liefen zur Hütte; und siehe, es war verscharrt in seiner Hütte und das Silber darunter.
23 And they took them from the tent and came back with them to Joshua and the children of Israel, and put them before the Lord.
23 Ils les prirent du milieu de la tente, les apportèrent à Josué et à tous les enfants d'Israël, et les déposèrent devant l'Éternel.
23 Thógadar ón mboth iad agus thugadar i láthair Iósua agus seanóirí Iosrael iad, agus leagadar os comhair an Tiarna iad.
23 Y tomándolo de en medio de la tienda, trajéronlo á Josué y á todos los hijos de Israel, y pusiéronlo delante de Jehová.
23 Und sie nahmen's aus der Hütte und brachten's zu Josua und zu allen Kindern Israel und schütteten es vor den HERRN.
24 Then Joshua and all Israel took Achan, the son of Zerah, and the silver and the robe and the mass of gold, and his sons and his daughters and his oxen and his asses and his sheep and his tent and everything he had; and they took them up into the valley of Achor.
24 Josué et tout Israël avec lui prirent Acan, fils de Zérach, l'argent, le manteau, le lingot d'or, les fils et les filles d'Acan, ses boeufs, ses ânes, ses brebis, sa tente, et tout ce qui lui appartenait; et ils les firent monter dans la vallée d'Acor.
24 Ácán mac Zearach, an t‑airgead agus an fhallaing agus an barra óir, a mhic agus a iníonacha, a dhaimh, a asail, a chaoirigh, a bhoth agus a raibh aige - rug Iósua, agus clann Iosrael go léir ina theannta, iadsan go léir leis go Gleann an Mhí-Áidh [Ácór].
24 Entonces Josué, y todo Israel con él, tomó á Achân hijo de Zera, y el dinero, y el manto, y el changote de oro, y sus hijos, y sus hijas, y sus bueyes, y sus asnos, y sus ovejas, y su tienda, y todo cuanto tenía, y lleváronlo todo al valle de Achôr;
24 Da nahm Josua und das ganze Israel mit ihm Achan, den Sohn Serahs, samt dem Silber, Mantel und der goldenen Stange, seine Söhne und Töchter, seine Ochsen und Esel und Schafe, seine Hütte und alles, was er hatte, und führten sie hinauf ins Tal Achor.
25 And Joshua said, Why have you been a cause of trouble to us? Today the Lord will send trouble on you. And all Israel took part in stoning him; they had him stoned to death and then burned with fire.
25 Josué dit: Pourquoi nous as-tu troublés? L'Éternel te troublera aujourd'hui. Et tout Israël le lapida. On les brûla au feu, on les lapida,
25 “Cad ina thaobh,” arsa Iósua, “gur thug tú mí-ádh sa mhullach orainn? Go dtuga an Tiarna mí-ádh sa mhullach ort féin inniu!” Agus ghabh Iosrael go léir air de chlocha; loisceadar le tine iad agus ghabhadar de chlocha orthu.

25 Und Josua sprach: Weil du uns betrübt hast, so betrübe dich der HERR an diesem Tage. Und das ganze Israel steinigte ihn und verbrannte sie mit Feuer. Und da sie sie gesteinigt hatten,
26 And over him they put a great mass of stones, which is there to this day; then the heat of the Lord's wrath was turned away. So that place was named, The Valley of Achor, to this day.
26 et l'on éleva sur Acan un grand monceau de pierres, qui subsiste encore aujourd'hui. Et l'Éternel revint de l'ardeur de sa colère. C'est à cause de cet événement qu'on a donné jusqu'à ce jour à ce lieu le nom de vallée d'Acor.
