1 Then Joshua got up early in the morning, and, moving on from Shittim, he and all the children of Israel came to Jordan and were there for the night before going over.
1 Josué, s'étant levé de bon matin, partit de Sittim avec tous les enfants d'Israël. Ils arrivèrent au Jourdain; et là, ils passèrent la nuit, avant de le traverser.
1 Go luath ar maidin d'éirigh Iósua agus scoir an campa agus ar aghaidh leis ó Shitím agus muintir Iosrael go léir fairis. Shroicheadar bruach na Iordáine agus shuíodar campa ann roimh dhul anonn.
1 Y Levantose Josué de mañana, y partieron de Sittim, y vinieron hasta el Jordán, él y todos los hijos de Israel, y reposaron allí antes que pasasen.
1 Und Josua machte sich früh auf, und sie zogen aus Sittim und kamen an den Jordan, er und alle Kinder Israel, und blieben daselbst über Nacht, ehe sie hinüberzogen.
2 And at the end of three days, the men in authority over the people went through the tents,
2 Au bout de trois jours, les officiers parcoururent le camp,
2 Faoi chionn trí lá ghabh na hoifigigh tríd an gcampa
2 Y pasados tres días, los oficiales atravesaron por medio del campo,
2 Nach drei Tagen aber gingen die Hauptleute durchs Lager
3 Giving the people their orders, and saying, When you see the ark of the agreement of the Lord your God lifted up by the priests, the Levites, then get up from your places and go after it;
3 et donnèrent cet ordre au peuple: Lorsque vous verrez l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, portée par les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, vous partirez du lieu où vous êtes, et vous vous mettrez en marche après elle.
3 agus thug na treoracha seo don phobal: “Nuair a fheicfidh sibh áirc chonradh an Tiarna bhur nDia agus na sagairt Léivíteacha á hiompar, ní foláir daoibh imeacht ó bhur stáitse agus í a leanúint
3 Y mandaron al pueblo, diciendo: Cuando viereis el arca del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, y los sacerdotes y Levitas que la llevan, vosotros partiréis de vuestro lugar, y marcharéis en pos de ella.
3 und geboten dem Volk und sprachen: Wenn ihr sehen werdet die Lade des Bundes des HERRN, eures Gottes, und die Priester aus den Leviten sie tragen, so ziehet aus von eurem Ort und folgt ihr nach.
4 But let there be a space between you and it of about two thousand cubits: come no nearer to it, so that you may see the way you have to go, for you have not been over this way before.
4 Mais il y aura entre vous et elle une distance d'environ deux mille coudées: n'en approchez pas. Elle vous montrera le chemin que vous devez suivre, car vous n'avez point encore passé par ce chemin.
4 i dtreo go mbeadh a fhios agaibh cén treo ina bhfuil sibh le dul mar nár ghabh sibh an tslí seo riamh cheana. Ach bíodh spás timpeall dhá mhíle banlámh idir sibh féin agus an áirc; ná téigí ina gaire.”
4 Empero entre vosotros y ella haya distancia como de la medida de dos mil codos: y no os acercaréis á ella, á fin de que sepáis el camino por donde habéis de ir: por cuanto vosotros no habéis pasado antes de ahora por este camino.
4 Doch daß zwischen euch und ihr Raum sei bei zweitausend Ellen. Ihr sollt nicht zu ihr nahen, auf daß ihr wisset, auf welchem Weg ihr gehen sollt; denn ihr seid den Weg bisher nicht gegangen.
5 And Joshua said to the people, Make yourselves holy, for tomorrow the Lord will do works of wonder among you.
5 Josué dit au peuple: Sanctifiez-vous, car demain l'Éternel fera des prodiges au milieu de vous.
5 Dúirt Iósua leis an bpobal: “Naomhaígí sibh féin, óir déanfaidh an Tiarna míorúiltí in bhur measc amárach.”
5 Y Josué dijo al pueblo: Santificaos, porque Jehová hará mañana entre vosotros maravillas.
5 Und Josua sprach zu dem Volk: Heiligt euch; denn morgen wir der HERR ein Wunder unter euch tun.
6 Then Joshua said to the priests, Take up the ark of the agreement and go over in front of the people. So they took up the ark of the agreement and went in front of the people.
6 Et Josué dit aux sacrificateurs: Portez l'arche de l'alliance, et passez devant le peuple. Ils portèrent l'arche de l'alliance, et ils marchèrent devant le peuple.
6 Agus dúirt Iósua leis na sagairt: “Tógaigí in airde áirc an chonartha agus ar aghaidh libh roimh an bpobal.” Agus thógadar in airde áirc an chonartha agus ar aghaidh leo roimh an bpobal.
6 Y habló Josué á los sacerdotes, diciendo: Tomad el arca del pacto, y pasad delante del pueblo. Y ellos tomaron el arca del pacto, y fueron delante del pueblo.
6 Und zu den Priestern sprach er: Tragt die Lade des Bundes und geht vor dem Volk her. Da trugen sie die Lade des Bundes und gingen vor dem Volk her.
7 And the Lord said to Joshua, From now on I will give you glory in the eyes of all Israel, so that they may see that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
7 L'Éternel dit à Josué: Aujourd'hui, je commencerai à t'élever aux yeux de tout Israël, afin qu'ils sachent que je serai avec toi comme j'ai été avec Moïse.
7 Dúirt an Tiarna le Iósua: “Inniu féin tosóidh mé ar thú a mhóradh i radharc Iosrael go léir d'fhonn go mbeadh a fhios acu go mbeidh mé faratsa faoi mar a bhíos fara Maois.
7 Entonces Jehová dijo á Josué: Desde aqueste día comenzaré á hacerte grande delante de los ojos de todo Israel, para que entiendan que como fuí con Moisés, así seré contigo.
7 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Heute will ich anfangen, dich groß zu machen vor dem ganzen Israel, daß sie wissen, wie ich mit Mose gewesen bin, also sei ich auch mit dir.
8 And you are to give orders to the priests who take up the ark of the agreement, and say, When you come to the edge of the waters of Jordan, go no further.
8 Tu donneras cet ordre aux sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'alliance: Lorsque vous arriverez au bord des eaux du Jourdain, vous vous arrêterez dans le Jourdain.
8 Agus tabhairse an t‑ordú seo do na sagairt a iompraíonn áirc an chonartha: ‘Nuair a shroichfidh sibh bruach uiscí na Iordáine stadaigí in bhur seasamh sa Iordáin féin.’ ”
8 Tú, pues, mandarás á los sacerdotes que llevan el arca del pacto, diciendo: Cuando hubiereis entrado hasta el borde del agua del Jordán, pararéis en el Jordán.
8 Und du gebiete den Priestern, die die Lade des Bunde tragen, und sprich: Wenn ihr kommt vorn ins Wasser des Jordans, so steht still.
9 And Joshua said to the children of Israel, Come to me here: and give ear to the words of the Lord your God.
9 Josué dit aux enfants d'Israël: Approchez, et écoutez les paroles de l'Éternel, votre Dieu.
9 Agus dúirt Iósua le clann Iosrael: “Druidigí i leith agus éistigí le briathra an Tiarna bhur nDia.”
9 Y Josué dijo á los hijos de Israel: Llegaos acá, y escuchad las palabras de Jehová vuestro Dios.
9 Und Josua sprach zu den Kindern Israel: Herzu! und Hört die Worte des HERRN, eures Gottes!
10 And Joshua said, By this you will see that the living God is among you, and that he will certainly send out from before you the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Hivite and the Perizzite and the Girgashite and the Amorite and the Jebusite.
10 Josué dit: A ceci vous reconnaîtrez que le Dieu vivant est au milieu de vous, et qu'il chassera devant vous les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Héviens, les Phéréziens, les Guirgasiens, les Amoréens et les Jébusiens:
10 Dúirt Iósua: “Leis seo a bheidh a fhios agaibh go bhfuil Dia beo in bhur measc, agus go dtiomáinfidh sé amach go cinnte na Canánaigh, na Hitigh, na Hivigh, na Pirizigh, na Giorgáisigh, na hAmóraigh, agus na Iabúsaigh.
10 Y añadió Josué: En esto conoceréis que el Dios viviente está en medio de vosotros, y que él echará de delante de vosotros al Cananeo, y al Heteo, y al Heveo, y al Pherezeo, y al Gergeseo, y al Amorrheo, y al Jebuseo.
10 Und sprach: Dabei sollt ihr merken, daß ein lebendiger Gott unter euch ist, und daß er vor euch austreiben wird die Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Heviter, Pheresiter, Girgasiter, Amoriter und Jebusiter.
11 See, the ark of the agreement of the Lord of all the earth is going over before you into Jordan.
11 voici, l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur de toute la terre va passer devant vous dans le Jourdain.
11 Féach, tá áirc chonradh Thiarna an domhain ar fad, le gabháil thar Iordáin romhaibh amach.
11 He aquí, el arca del pacto del Señoreador de toda la tierra pasa el Jordán delante de vosotros.
11 Siehe, die Lade des Bundes des Herrschers über alle Welt wird vor euch her gehen in den Jordan.
12 So take twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, a man from every tribe.
12 Maintenant, prenez douze hommes parmi les tribus d'Israël, un homme de chaque tribu.
12 Toghaigí dáréag fear gan mhoill, dá bhrí sin, as treibheanna Iosrael, fear as gach treibh.
12 Tomad, pues, ahora doce hombres de las tribus de Israel, de cada tribu uno.
12 So nehmt nun zwölf aus den Stämmen Israels, aus jeglichem Stamm einen.
13 And when the feet of the priests who take up the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, come to rest in the waters of Jordan, the waters of Jordan will be cut off, all the waters flowing down from higher up, and will come together in a mass.
13 Et dès que les sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'Éternel, le Seigneur de toute la terre, poseront la plante des pieds dans les eaux du Jourdain, les eaux du Jourdain seront coupées, les eaux qui descendent d'en haut, et elles s'arrêteront en un monceau.
13 Na sagairt le háirc chonradh Thiarna an domhain ar fad, a luaithe a leagfaidh siad boinn a gcos ar uiscí na Iordáine, stopfaidh uiscí na Iordáine ina gcúrsa, agus stadfaidh na huiscí uachtair in aon mheall amháin ar a gcúrsa anuas.”
13 Y cuando las plantas de los pies de los sacerdotes que llevan el arca de Jehová Señoreador de toda la tierra, fueren asentadas sobre las aguas del Jordán, las aguas del Jordán se partirán: porque las aguas que vienen de arriba se detendrán en un montón.
13 Wenn dann die Fußsohlen der Priester, die des HERRN Lade, des Herrschers über alle Welt, tragen, in des Jordans Wasser sich lassen, so wird das Wasser, das von oben herabfließt im Jordan, abreißen, daß es auf einem Haufen stehen bleibe.
14 So when the people went out from their tents to go over Jordan, the priests who took up the ark of the agreement were in front of the people;
14 Le peuple sortit de ses tentes pour passer le Jourdain, et les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance marchèrent devant le peuple.
14 Nuair a scoir na daoine campa chun gabháil thar Iordáin, thug na sagairt áirc an chonartha leo roimh an bpobal amach.
14 Y aconteció, que partiendo el pueblo de sus tiendas para pasar el Jordán, y los sacerdotes delante del pueblo llevando el arca del pacto,
14 Da nun das Volk auszog aus seinen Hütten, daß sie über den Jordan gingen, und die Priester die Lade des Bundes vor dem Volk her trugen
15 And when those who took up the ark came to Jordan, and the feet of the priests who took up the ark were touching the edge of the water (for the waters of Jordan are overflowing all through the time of the grain-cutting),
15 Quand les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche furent arrivés au Jourdain, et que leurs pieds se furent mouillés au bord de l'eau, -le Jourdain regorge par-dessus toutes ses rives tout le temps de la moisson,
15 A luaithe a shroich lucht iompair na háirce an Iordáin agus gur bhain cosa na sagart a bhí á hiompar le himeall na n‑uiscí - bíonn an Iordáin ag cur thar a bruacha go léir le linn an fhómhair -
15 Cuando los que llevaban el arca entraron en el Jordán, así como los pies de los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca fueron mojados á la orilla del agua, (porque el Jordán suele reverter sobre todos sus bordes todo el tiempo de la siega,)
15 und an den Jordan kamen und ihre Füße vorn ins Wasser tauchten (der Jordan aber war voll an allen seinen Ufern die ganze Zeit der Ernte),
16 Then the waters flowing down from higher up were stopped and came together in a mass a long way back at Adam, a town near Zarethan; and the waters flowing down to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were cut off: and the people went across opposite Jericho.
16 les eaux qui descendent d'en haut s'arrêtèrent, et s'élevèrent en un monceau, à une très grande distance, près de la ville d'Adam, qui est à côté de Tsarthan; et celles qui descendaient vers la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, furent complètement coupées. Le peuple passa vis-à-vis de Jéricho.
16 stad na huiscí uachtair go léir agus rinne meall mór díobh thar réimse mhór ó Adám, cathair atá lámh le Záratán; agus iad siúd a shníonn síos i dtreo Mhuir an Arabá, Muir an tSalainn sé sin, scaradh ar fad óna bhfoinsí iad. Ghabh an pobal thar abhainn os comhair Ireachó.
16 Las aguas que venían de arriba, se pararon como en un montón bien lejos de la ciudad de Adam, que está al lado de Sarethán; y las que descendían á la mar de los llanos, al mar Salado, se acabaron y fueron partidas; y el pueblo pasó en derecho de Jericó.
16 da stand das Wasser, das von oben herniederkam, aufgerichtet auf einem Haufen, sehr ferne, bei der Stadt Adam, die zur Seite Zarthans liegt; aber das Wasser das zum Meer hinunterlief, zum Salzmeer, das nahm ab und verfloß. Also ging das Volk hinüber, Jericho gegenüber.
17 And the priests who took up the ark of the agreement of the Lord kept their places, with their feet on dry land in the middle of Jordan, while all Israel went over on dry land, till all the nation had gone over Jordan.
17 Les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel s'arrêtèrent de pied ferme sur le sec, au milieu du Jourdain, pendant que tout Israël passait à sec, jusqu'à ce que toute la nation eût achevé de passer le Jourdain.
