1 If you see your brother's ox or his sheep wandering, do not go by without helping, but take them back to your brother.

1 Wenn du deines Bruders Ochsen oder Schaf siehst irregehen, so sollst du dich nicht entziehen von ihnen, sondern sollst sie wieder zu deinem Bruder führen.
2 If their owner is not near, or if you are not certain who he is, then take the beast to your house and keep it till its owner comes in search of it, and then you are to give it back to him.
2 Si ton frère n'habite pas près de toi, et que tu ne le connaisses pas, tu recueilleras l'animal dans ta maison et il restera chez toi jusqu'à ce que ton frère le réclame; et alors tu le lui rendras.

2 Y si tu hermano no fuere tu vecino, ó no le conocieres, los recogerás en tu casa, y estarán contigo hasta que tu hermano los busque, y se los devolverás.
2 Wenn aber dein Bruder dir nicht nahe ist und du kennst ihn nicht, so sollst du sie in dein Haus nehmen, daß sie bei dir seien, bis sie dein Bruder suche, und sollst sie ihm dann wiedergeben.
3 Do the same with his ass or his robe or anything which has gone from your brother's keeping and which you have come across: do not keep it to yourself.
3 Tu feras de même pour son âne, tu feras de même pour son vêtement, tu feras de même pour tout objet qu'il aurait perdu et que tu trouverais; tu ne devras point t'en détourner.
3 Déan mar an gcéanna lena asal, agus lena bhrat, agus le haon ní a chailleann do dheartháir agus go bhfaigheann tú é: ná bíodh aon seachaint sa ghnó seo.
3 Y así harás de su asno, así harás también de su vestido, y lo mismo harás con toda cosa perdida de tu hermano que se le perdiere, y tú la hallares: no podrás retraerte de ello.
3 Also sollst du tun mit seinem Esel, mit seinem Kleid und mit allem Verlorenen, das dein Bruder verliert und du findest; du kannst dich nicht entziehen.
4 If you see your brother's ox or his ass falling down on the road, do not go by without giving him help in lifting it up again.
4 Si tu vois l'âne de ton frère ou son boeuf tombé dans le chemin, tu ne t'en détourneras point, tu l'aideras à le relever.

4 No verás el asno de tu hermano, ó su buey, caídos en el camino, y te esconderás de ellos: con él has de procurar levantarlos.
4 Wenn du deines Bruders Esel oder Ochsen siehst fallen auf dem Wege, so sollst du dich nicht von ihm entziehen, sondern sollst ihm aufhelfen.
5 It is not right for a woman to be dressed in man's clothing, or for a man to put on a woman's robe: whoever does such things is disgusting to the Lord your God.
5 Une femme ne portera point un habillement d'homme, et un homme ne mettra point des vêtements de femme; car quiconque fait ces choses est en abomination à l'Éternel, ton Dieu.

6 If by chance you see a place which a bird has made for itself in a tree or on the earth, with young ones or eggs, and the mother bird seated on the young ones or on the eggs, do not take the mother bird with the young:

7 See that you let the mother bird go, but the young ones you may take; so it will be well for you and your life will be long.

8 Cuando edificares casa nueva, harás pretil á tu terrado, porque no pongas sangre en tu casa, si de él cayere alguno.

9 Do not have your vine-garden planted with two sorts of seed: or all of it may become a loss, the seed you have put in as well as the increase.

9 No sembrarás tu viña de varias semillas, porque no se deprave la plenitud de la semilla que sembraste, y el fruto de la viña.

13 If any man takes a wife, and having had connection with her, has no delight in her,

14 And says evil things about her and gives her a bad name, saying, I took this woman, and when I had connection with her it was clear to me that she was not a virgin:
14 s'il lui impute des choses criminelles et porte atteinte à sa réputation, en disant: J'ai pris cette femme, je me suis approché d'elle, et je ne l'ai pas trouvée vierge, -

14 Y le pusiere algunas faltas, y esparciere sobre ella mala fama, y dijere: Esta tomé por mujer, y llegué á ella, y no la hallé virgen;
14 und legt ihr etwas Schändliches auf und bringt ein böses Geschrei über sie aus und spricht: Das Weib habe ich genommen, und da ich mich zu ihr tat, fand ich sie nicht Jungfrau,
15 Then let the girl's father and mother put before the responsible men of the town, in the public place, signs that the girl was a virgin:
15 alors le père et la mère de la jeune femme prendront les signes de sa virginité et les produiront devant les anciens de la ville, à la porte.

15 Entonces el padre de la moza y su madre tomarán, y sacarán las señales de la virginidad de la doncella á los ancianos de la ciudad, en la puerta.
15 so sollen Vater und Mutter der Dirne sie nehmen und vor die Ältesten der Stadt in dem Tor hervorbringen der Dirne Jungfrauschaft.
16 And let the girl's father say to the responsible men, I gave my daughter to this man for his wife, but he has no love for her;
16 Le père de la jeune femme dira aux anciens: J'ai donné ma fille pour femme à cet homme, et il l'a prise en aversion;
16 Abradh athair na mná óige leis na seanóirí: ‘Thug mé m'iníon don fhear seo le pósadh agus is beag air í.
16 Y dirá el padre de la moza á los ancianos: Yo dí mi hija á este hombre por mujer, y él la aborrece;
16 Und der Dirne Vater soll sagen: Ich habe diesem Mann meine Tochter zum Weibe gegeben; nun ist er ihr gram geworden
17 And now he has put shame on her, saying that she is not a virgin; but here is the sign that she is a virgin. Then they are to put her clothing before the responsible men of the town.
17 il lui impute des choses criminelles, en disant: Je n'ai pas trouvé ta fille vierge. Or voici les signes de virginité de ma fille. Et ils déploieront son vêtement devant les anciens de la ville.
17 Tá mí- iompar á chur ina leith aige anois á rá: “Ní bhfuair mé comharthaí a maighdeanais ar d'iníon.” Ach seo iad comharthaí maighdeanais m'iníne.’ Agus leathfaidh siad an t‑éadach os comhair sheanóirí na cathrach.
17 Y, he aquí, él le pone tachas de algunas cosas, diciendo: No he hallado tu hija virgen; empero, he aquí las señales de la virginidad de mi hija. Y extenderán la sábana delante de los ancianos de la ciudad.
17 und legt ein schändlich Ding auf sie und spricht: Ich habe deine Tochter nicht Jungfrau gefunden; hier ist die Jungfrauschaft meiner Tochter. Und sollen das Kleid vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten.
18 Then the responsible men of the town are to give the man his punishment;
18 Les anciens de la ville saisiront alors cet homme et le châtieront;
18 Ansin beireadh seanóirí na cathrach sin greim ar an bhfear úd, gabhaidís de lasca ann,
18 Entonces los ancianos de la ciudad tomarán al hombre y lo castigarán;
18 So sollen die Ältesten der Stadt den Mann nehmen und züchtigen
19 They will take from him a hundred shekels of silver, which are to be given to the father of the girl, because he has given an evil name to a virgin of Israel: she will go on being his wife, he may never put her away all his life.
19 et, parce qu'il a porté atteinte à la réputation d'une vierge d'Israël, ils le condamneront à une amende de cent sicles d'argent, qu'ils donneront au père de la jeune femme. Elle restera sa femme, et il ne pourra pas la renvoyer, tant qu'il vivra.
19 agus gearraidís fíneáil céad seicil airgid air agus tugaidís iad d'athair na mná óige óir tá drochcháil tugtha aige ar mhaighdean in Iosrael, agus fanadh sí mar bhean aige agus ní bheidh cead aige í a chur uaidh lena shaol.
19 Y le han de penar en cien piezas de plata, las cuales darán al padre de la moza, por cuanto esparció mala fama sobre virgen de Israel: y la ha de tener por mujer, y no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.
19 und um hundert Silberlinge büßen und dieselben der Dirne Vater geben, darum daß er eine Jungfrau in Israel berüchtigt hat; und er soll sie zum Weibe haben, daß er sie sein Leben lang nicht lassen möge.
20 But if what he has said is true, and she is seen to be not a virgin,
20 Mais si le fait est vrai, si la jeune femme ne s'est point trouvée vierge,
20 Ach más fíor é agus má dheimhnítear nach bhfuarthas comharthaí maighdeanais na mná óige,
20 Mas si este negocio fué verdad, que no se hubiere hallado virginidad en la moza,
20 Ist's aber Wahrheit, daß die Dirne nicht ist Jungfrau gefunden,
21 Then they are to make the girl come to the door of her father's house and she will be stoned to death by the men of the town, because she has done evil and put shame on Israel, by acting as a loose woman in her father's house: so you are to put away evil from among you.
21 on fera sortir la jeune femme à l'entrée de la maison de son père; elle sera lapidée par les gens de la ville, et elle mourra, parce qu'elle a commis une infamie en Israël, en se prostituant dans la maison de son père. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi.

21 Entonces la sacarán á la puerta de la casa de su padre, y la apedrearán con piedras los hombres de su ciudad, y morirá; por cuanto hizo vileza en Israel fornicando en casa de su padre: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
21 so soll man sie heraus vor die Tür ihres Vaters Hauses führen, und die Leute der Stadt sollen sie zu Tode steinigen, darum daß sie eine Torheit in Israel begangen und in ihres Vaters Hause gehurt hat; und sollst das Böse von dir tun.
22 If a man is taken in the act of going in to a married woman, the two of them, the man as well as the woman, are to be put to death: so you are to put away the evil from Israel.
22 Si l'on trouve un homme couché avec une femme mariée, ils mourront tous deux, l'homme qui a couché avec la femme, et la femme aussi. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu d'Israël.
22 “Má fhaightear fear ag luí le bean duine eile, cuirtear iad araon chun báis - an fear a luigh leis an mbean, agus an bhean féin. Ní foláir duit an t‑olc seo a dhíbirt ó Iosrael an tslí sin.
22 Cuando se sorprendiere alguno echado con mujer casada con marido, entrambos morirán, el hombre que se acostó con la mujer, y la mujer: así quitarás el mal de Israel.
22 Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der bei einem Weibe schläft, die einen Ehemann hat, so sollen sie beide sterben, der Mann und das Weib, bei dem er geschlafen hat; und sollst das Böse von Israel tun.
23 If a young virgin has given her word to be married to a man, and another man meeting her in the town, has connection with her;
23 Si une jeune fille vierge est fiancée, et qu'un homme la rencontre dans la ville et couche avec elle,
23 “Má bhíonn maighdean geallta agus go mbuaileann fear léi sa chathair, agus go gcodlaíonn léi,
23 Cuando fuere moza virgen desposada con alguno, y alguno la hallare en la ciudad, y se echare con ella;
23 Wenn eine Dirne jemand verlobt ist, und ein Mann kriegt sie in der Stadt und schläft bei ihr,
24 Then you are to take the two of them to the doorway of the town, and have them stoned to death; the young virgin, because she gave no cry for help, though it was in the town, and the man, because he has put shame on his neighbour's wife: so you are to put away evil from among you.
24 vous les amènerez tous deux à la porte de la ville, vous les lapiderez, et ils mourront, la jeune fille pour n'avoir pas crié dans la ville, et l'homme pour avoir déshonoré la femme de son prochain. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi.
24 beirigí iad araon libh amach go geata na cathrach sin agus cuirigí chun báis de chlocha iad - an bhean óg mar nár liúigh sí ag lorg cabhrach agus í sa chathair, agus an fear mar gur thruailligh sé bean a chomharsan. Ní foláir duit an t‑olc seo a dhíbirt ó bhur measc ar an tslí sin.
24 Entonces los sacaréis á ambos á la puerta de aquella ciudad, y los apedrearéis con piedras, y morirán; la moza porque no dió voces en la ciudad, y el hombre porque humilló á la mujer de su prójimo: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
24 so sollt ihr sie alle beide zu der Stadt Tor ausführen und sollt sie steinigen, daß sie sterben; die Dirne darum, daß sie nicht geschrieen hat, da sie doch in der Stadt war; den Mann darum, daß er seines Nächsten Weib geschändet hat; und sollst das Böse von dir tun.
25 But if the man, meeting such a virgin in the open country, takes her by force, then only the man is to be put to death;
25 Mais si c'est dans les champs que cet homme rencontre la jeune femme fiancée, lui fait violence et couche avec elle, l'homme qui aura couché avec elle sera seul puni de mort.
25 Ach más faoin tuath a bhuaileann fear le bean óg atá geallta agus go ndéanann sé éigean uirthi agus luí léi, ansin ná cuirtear chun báis ach an fear a luigh léi.
25 Mas si el hombre halló una moza desposada en la campo, y él la agarrare, y se echare con ella, morirá sólo el hombre que con ella se habrá echado;
25 Wenn aber jemand eine verlobte Dirne auf dem Felde kriegt und ergreift sie und schläft bei ihr, so soll der Mann allein sterben, der bei ihr geschlafen hat,
26 Nothing is to be done to the virgin, because there is no cause of death in her: it is the same as if a man made an attack on his neighbour and put him to death:
26 Tu ne feras rien à la jeune fille; elle n'est pas coupable d'un crime digne de mort, car il en est de ce cas comme de celui où un homme se jette sur son prochain et lui ôte la vie.
26 Ná déan aon ní leis an mbean óg óir ní dhearna an bhean óg aon choir a thuillfeadh bás, mar is cuma an cás seo nó fear a ionsaí agus a mharú a chomharsan.
26 Y á la moza no harás nada; no tiene la moza culpa de muerte: porque como cuando alguno se levanta contra su prójimo, y le quita la vida, así es esto:
26 und der Dirne sollst du nichts tun; denn sie hat keine Sünde des Todes wert getan, sondern gleich wie jemand sich wider seinen Nächsten erhöbe und schlüge ihn tot, so ist dies auch.
27 For he came across her in the open country, and there was no one to come to the help of the virgin in answer to her cry.
27 La jeune fille fiancée, que cet homme a rencontrée dans les champs, a pu crier sans qu'il y ait eu personne pour la secourir.
27 Óir tháinig sé uirthi faoin tuath, agus ba fhéidir don bhean óg liú gan aon duine a theacht á fóirithint.
27 Porque él la halló en el campo: dió voces la moza desposada, y no hubo quien la valiese.
27 Denn er fand sie auf dem Felde, und die verlobte Dirne schrie, und war niemand, der ihr half.
28 If a man sees a young virgin, who has not given her word to be married to anyone, and he takes her by force and has connection with her, and discovery is made of it;
28 Si un homme rencontre une jeune fille vierge non fiancée, lui fait violence et couche avec elle, et qu'on vienne à les surprendre,
28 Má bhuaileann fear le maighdean nach bhfuil geallta agus í a éigniú agus luí léi, agus go mbeirtear orthu,
28 Cuando alguno hallare moza virgen, que no fuere desposada, y la tomare, y se echare con ella, y fueren hallados;
28 Wenn jemand an eine Jungfrau kommt, die nicht verlobt ist, und ergreift sie und schläft bei ihr, und es findet sich also,
29 Then the man will have to give the virgin's father fifty shekels of silver and make her his wife, because he has put shame on her; he may never put her away all his life.
29 l'homme qui aura couché avec elle donnera au père de la jeune fille cinquante sicles d'argent; et, parce qu'il l'a déshonorée, il la prendra pour femme, et il ne pourra pas la renvoyer, tant qu'il vivra.

29 Entonces el hombre que se echó con ella dará al padre de la moza cincuenta piezas de plata, y ella será su mujer, por cuanto la humilló: no la podrá despedir en todos sus días.
29 so soll, der bei ihr geschlafen hat, ihrem Vater fünfzig Silberlinge geben und soll sie zum Weibe haben, darum daß er sie geschwächt hat; er kann sie nicht lassen sein Leben lang.
30 A man may not take his father's wife or have sex relations with a woman who is his father's.
30 Nul ne prendra la femme de son père, et ne soulèvera la couverture de son père.
