1 If, in the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you come across the dead body of a man in the open country, and you have no idea who has put him to death:
1 Si, dans le pays dont l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne la possession, l'on trouve étendu au milieu d'un champ un homme tué, sans que l'on sache qui l'a frappé,
1 “Sa tír a thugann an Tiarna do Dhia duit le sealbhú, má fhaightear duine a básaíodh ina luí amuigh ar an mbán, agus nach eol cé mharaigh é,
1 Cuando fuere hallado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para que la poseas, muerto echado en el campo, y no se supiere quién lo hirió,
1 Wenn man einen Erschlagenen findet in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird einzunehmen, und er liegt im Felde und man weiß nicht, wer ihn erschlagen hat,
2 Then your responsible men and your judges are to come out, and give orders for the distance from the dead body to the towns round about it to be measured;
2 tes anciens et tes juges iront mesurer les distances à partir du cadavre jusqu'aux villes des environs.
2 tagadh bhur seanóirí agus bhur mbreithiúna agus déanaidís an fad slí idir corpán an duine bhásaithe agus na cathracha máguaird a thomhas.
2 Entonces tus ancianos y tus jueces saldrán y medirán hasta las ciudades que están alrededor del muerto:
2 so sollen deine Ältesten und Richter hinausgehen und von dem Erschlagenen messen bis an die Städte, die umher liegen.
3 And whichever town is nearest to the body, the responsible men of that town are to take from the herd a young cow which has never been used for work or put under the yoke;
3 Quand on aura déterminé la ville la plus rapprochée du cadavre, les anciens de cette ville prendront une génisse qui n'ait point servi au travail et qui n'ait point tiré au joug.
3 Ansin faigheadh seanóirí na cathrach is gaire don mharbh bodóg nár cuireadh chun oibre agus nár tharraing an chuing riamh fós.
3 Y será, que los ancianos de aquella ciudad, de la ciudad más cercana al muerto, tomarán de la vacada una becerra que no haya servido, que no haya traído yugo;
3 Welche Stadt die nächste ist, deren Älteste sollen eine junge Kuh von den Rindern nehmen, mit der man nicht gearbeitet und die noch nicht am Joch gezogen hat,
4 And they are to take the cow into a valley where there is flowing water, and which is not ploughed or planted, and there the neck of the cow is to be broken:
4 Ils feront descendre cette génisse vers un torrent qui jamais ne tarisse et où il n'y ait ni culture ni semence; et là, ils briseront la nuque à la génisse, dans le torrent.
4 Beireadh seanóirí na cathrach an bhodóg leo chun bruacha srutháin nach dtéann i ndísc, i mball nár treabhadh agus nár síolchuireadh riamh, agus ansiúd sa ghleann brisidís muineál na bodóige.
4 Y los ancianos de aquella ciudad traerán la becerra á un valle áspero, que nunca haya sido arado ni sembrado, y cortarán el pescuezo á la becerra allí en el valle.
4 und sollen sie hinabführen in einen kiesigen Grund, der weder bearbeitet noch besät ist, und daselbst im Grund ihr den Hals brechen.
5 Then the priests, the sons of Levi, are to come near; for they have been marked out by the Lord your God to be his servants and to give blessings in the name of the Lord; and by their decision every argument and every blow is to be judged:
5 Alors s'approcheront les sacrificateurs, fils de Lévi; car l'Éternel, ton Dieu, les a choisis pour qu'ils le servent et qu'ils bénissent au nom de l'Éternel, et ce sont eux qui doivent prononcer sur toute contestation et sur toute blessure.
5 Agus tagadh clann mhac Léiví, na sagairt, i láthair mar thogh an Tiarna do Dhia iad le fónamh dó agus le beannú in ainm an Tiarna, agus is é a ngnó gach cás aighnis agus foiréigin a réiteach le breith a mbéil.
5 Entonces vendrán los sacerdotes hijos de Leví, porque á ellos escogió Jehová tu Dios para que le sirvan, y para bendecir en nombre de Jehová; y por el dicho de ellos se determinará todo pleito y toda llaga.
5 Da sollen herzukommen die Priester, die Kinder Levi; denn der HERR, dein Gott, hat sie erwählt, daß sie ihm dienen und in seinem Namen segnen, und nach ihrem Mund sollen alle Sachen und alle Schäden gerichtet werden.
6 And all the responsible men of that town which is nearest to the dead man, washing their hands over the cow whose neck was broken in the valley,
6 Tous les anciens de cette ville la plus rapprochée du cadavre laveront leurs mains sur la génisse à laquelle on a brisé la nuque dans le torrent.
6 Ansin níodh seanóirí uile an bhaile is gaire don mharbhán a lámha sa sruthán os cionn na bodóige ar briseadh a muineál.
6 Y todos los ancianos de aquella ciudad más cercana al muerto lavarán sus manos sobre la becerra degollada en el valle.
6 Und alle Ältesten der Stadt sollen herzutreten zu dem Erschlagenen und ihre Hände waschen über die junge Kuh, der im Grunde der Hals gebrochen ist,
7 Will say, This death is not the work of our hands and our eyes have not seen it.
7 Et prenant la parole, ils diront: Nos mains n'ont point répandu ce sang et nos yeux ne l'ont point vu répandre.
7 Agus abraidís na focail seo: ‘Níor dhoirt ár lámha an fhuil seo agus ní fhaca ár súile aon ní.
7 Y protestarán, y dirán: Nuestras manos no han derramado esta sangre, ni nuestros ojos lo vieron.
7 und sollen antworten und sagen: Unsre Hände haben dies Blut nicht vergossen, so haben's auch unsre Augen nicht gesehen.
8 Have mercy, O Lord, on your people Israel whom you have made free, and take away from your people the crime of a death without cause. Then they will no longer be responsible for the man's death.
8 Pardonne, ô Éternel! à ton peuple d'Israël, que tu as racheté; n'impute pas le sang innocent à ton peuple d'Israël, et ce sang ne lui sera point imputé.
8 Leath brat do mhaithiúnais ar do phobal Iosrael a d'fhuascail tú a Thiarna, agus ná doirtear aon fhuil neamhchiontach i measc do phobail Iosrael.’ Ar an tslí sin beidh brat cosanta orthu ón bhfíoch fola.
8 Expía á tu pueblo Israel, al cual redimiste, oh Jehová; y no imputes la sangre inocente derramada en medio de tu pueblo Israel. Y la sangre les será perdonada.
8 Sei gnädig deinem Volk Israel, das du, HERR, erlöst hast; lege nicht das unschuldige Blut auf dein Volk Israel! So werden sie über dem Blut versöhnt sein.
9 So you will take away the crime of a death without cause from among you, when you do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
9 Ainsi, tu dois faire disparaître du milieu de toi le sang innocent, en faisant ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel.

9 Y tú quitarás la culpa de sangre inocente de en medio de ti, cuando hicieres lo que es recto en los ojos de Jehová.
9 Also sollst du das unschuldige Blut von dir tun, daß du tust, was recht ist vor den Augen des HERRN.
10 When you go out to war against other nations, and the Lord your God gives them up into your hands and you take them as prisoners;
10 Lorsque tu iras à la guerre contre tes ennemis, si l'Éternel les livre entre tes mains, et que tu leur fasses des prisonniers,
10 “Nuair a théann tú amach chun cogaidh in aghaidh do namhad, agus go ndéanann do Dhia iad a thabhairt ar láimh duit agus go ngabhann tú iad mar chimí,
10 Cuando salieres á la guerra contra tus enemigos, y Jehová tu Dios los entregare en tu mano, y tomares de ellos cautivos,
10 Wenn du in einen Streit ziehst wider deine Feinde, und der HERR, dein Gott, gibt sie dir in deine Hände, daß du ihre Gefangenen wegführst,
11 If among the prisoners you see a beautiful woman and it is your desire to make her your wife;
11 peut-être verras-tu parmi les captives une femme belle de figure, et auras-tu le désir de la prendre pour femme.
11 agus go bhfeiceann tú bean sciamhach ar na cimí agus go mbíonn dúil agat inti, ní miste duit í a ghabháil chugat mar bhean
11 Y vieres entre los cautivos alguna mujer hermosa, y la codiciares, y la tomares para ti por mujer,
11 und siehst unter den Gefangenen ein schönes Weib und hast Lust zu ihr, daß du sie zum Weibe nehmest,
12 Then take her back to your house; and let her hair and her nails be cut;
12 Alors tu l'amèneras dans l'intérieur de ta maison. Elle se rasera la tête et se fera les ongles,
12 agus í a bhreith leat abhaile. Bearradh sí a ceann agus scumhadh sí a hingne
12 La meterás en tu casa; y ella raerá su cabeza, y cortará sus uñas,
12 so führe sie in dein Haus und laß sie ihr Haar abscheren und ihre Nägel beschneiden
13 And let her take off the dress in which she was made prisoner and go on living in your house and weeping for her father and mother for a full month: and after that you may go in to her and be her husband and she will be your wife.
13 elle quittera les vêtements qu'elle portait quand elle a été prise, elle demeurera dans ta maison, et elle pleurera son père et sa mère pendant un mois. Après cela, tu iras vers elle, tu l'auras en ta possession, et elle sera ta femme.
13 agus baineadh sí di a héide cime; fanadh sí laistigh de do theach ar feadh míosa agus caoineadh sí a hathair agus a máthair ar feadh míosa gan staonadh. Ní miste duit ansin dul chuici agus do chuid féin a dhéanamh di agus bíodh sí mar bhean agat.
13 Y se quitará el vestido de su cautiverio, y quedaráse en tu casa: y llorará á su padre y á su madre el tiempo de un mes: y después entrarás á ella, y tu serás su marido, y ella tu mujer.
13 und die Kleider ablegen, darin sie gefangen ist, und laß sie sitzen in deinem Hause und beweinen einen Monat lang ihren Vater und ihre Mutter; darnach gehe zu ihr und nimm sie zur Ehe und laß sie dein Weib sein.
14 But if you have no delight in her, you are to let her go wherever she will; you may not take a price for her as if she was your property, for you have made use of her for your pleasure.
14 Si elle cesse de te plaire, tu la laisseras aller où elle voudra, tu ne pourras pas la vendre pour de l'argent ni la traiter comme esclave, parce que tu l'auras humiliée.
14 Má tharlaíonn go n‑éiríonn tú tuirseach di, tabhair cead a cinn di, gan airgead a éileamh mar cheannach uirthi; ós rud é gur bhain tú feidhm aisti, níl cead agat brabach a dhéanamh uirthi.
14 Y será, si no te agradare, que la has de dejar en su libertad; y no la venderás por dinero, ni mercadearás con ella, por cuanto la afligiste.
14 Wenn du aber nicht mehr Lust zu ihr hast, so sollst du sie gehen lassen, wohin sie will, und nicht um Geld verkaufen noch versetzen, darum daß du sie gedemütigt hast.
15 If a man has two wives, one greatly loved and the other hated, and the two of them have had children by him; and if the first son is the child of the hated wife:
15 Si un homme, qui a deux femmes, aime l'une et n'aime pas l'autre, et s'il en a des fils dont le premier-né soit de la femme qu'il n'aime pas,
15 “Má bhíonn beirt bhan ag duine, agus bean acu ina muirnín agus an bhean eile gan a bheith, agus go mbeireann an muirnín agus an bhean nach amhlaidh clann dó, agus gur leis an bhean nach muirnín an chéadghin mhic,
15 Cuando un hombre tuviere dos mujeres, la una amada y la otra aborrecida, y la amada y la aborrecida le parieren hijos, y el hijo primogénito fuere de la aborrecida;
15 Wenn jemand zwei Weiber hat, eine, die er liebhat, und eine, die er haßt, und sie ihm Kinder gebären, beide, die liebe und die unwerte, daß der Erstgeborene von der unwerten ist,
16 Then when he gives his property to his sons for their heritage, he is not to put the son of his loved one in the place of the first son, the son of the hated wife:
16 il ne pourra point, quand il partagera son bien entre ses fils, reconnaître comme premier-né le fils de celle qu'il aime, à la place du fils de celle qu'il n'aime pas, et qui est le premier-né.
16 ansin nuair a thagann an lá inar cóir dó a chuid a roinnt mar oidhreacht ar a chlann mhac, ní cóir buntáiste na céadghine a thabhairt do mhac an mhuirnín thar mhac na mná nach muirnín ós é is céadghin ó cheart;
16 Será que, el día que hiciere heredar á sus hijos lo que tuviere, no podrá dar el derecho de primogenitura á los hijos de la amada en preferencia al hijo de la aborrecida, que es el primogénito;
16 und die Zeit kommt, daß er seinen Kindern das Erbe austeile, so kann er nicht den Sohn der liebsten zum erstgeborenen Sohn machen für den erstgeborenen Sohn der unwerten,
17 But he is to give his first son his birthright, and twice as great a part of his property: for he is the first-fruits of his strength and the right of the first son is his.
17 Mais il reconnaîtra pour premier-né le fils de celle qu'il n'aime pas, et lui donnera sur son bien une portion double; car ce fils est les prémices de sa vigueur, le droit d'aînesse lui appartient.
17 ach admhaíodh sé mar chéadghin mac na mná nach muirnín, agus tugadh sé dúbailt roinne dó dá bhfuil aige, óir is é céadtoradh a chumais é; is leis ceart na céadghine. An Mac Ceanndána
17 Mas al hijo de la aborrecida reconocerá por primogénito, para darle dos tantos de todo lo que se hallare que tiene: porque aquél es el principio de su fuerza, el derecho de la primogenitura es suyo.
17 sondern er soll den Sohn der unwerten für den ersten Sohn erkennen, daß er ihm zwiefältig gebe von allem, was vorhanden ist; denn derselbe ist der Erstling seiner Kraft, und der Erstgeburt Recht ist sein.
18 If a man has a son who is hard-hearted and uncontrolled, who gives no attention to the voice of his father and mother, and will not be ruled by them, though they give him punishment:
18 Si un homme a un fils indocile et rebelle, n'écoutant ni la voix de son père, ni la voix de sa mère, et ne leur obéissant pas même après qu'ils l'ont châtié,
18 “Má bhíonn mac ceanndána nó easumhal ag duine, gan aird aige ar ghuth athar ná máthar, agus nach dtógann aon cheann dóibh fiú nuair a chuireann siad pionós air,
18 Cuando alguno tuviere hijo contumaz y rebelde, que no obedeciere á la voz de su padre ni á la voz de su madre, y habiéndolo castigado, no les obedeciere;
18 Wenn jemand einen eigenwilligen und ungehorsamen Sohn hat, der seines Vaters und seiner Mutter Stimme nicht gehorcht und, wenn sie ihn züchtigen, ihnen nicht gehorchen will,
19 Then let his father and mother take him to the responsible men of the town, to the public place;
19 le père et la mère le prendront, et le mèneront vers les anciens de sa ville et à la porte du lieu qu'il habite.
19 ansin ní foláir dá athair agus dá mháthair greim a bhreith air agus é a thabhairt amach go seanóirí na cathrach ag geataí na háite ina mbíonn cónaí air,
19 Entonces tomarlo han su padre y su madre, y lo sacarán á los ancianos de su ciudad, y á la puerta del lugar suyo;
19 so sollen ihn Vater und Mutter greifen und zu den Ältesten der Stadt führen und zu dem Tor des Orts,
20 And say to them, This son of ours is hard-hearted and uncontrolled, he will not give attention to us; he gives himself up to pleasure and strong drink.
20 Ils diront aux anciens de sa ville: Voici notre fils qui est indocile et rebelle, qui n'écoute pas notre voix, et qui se livre à des excès et à l'ivrognerie.
20 agus a rá le seanóirí na cathrach: ‘Tá an mac seo againn ceanndána easumhal, agus ní ghéillfidh sé dár nguth; déanann sé craos agus bíonn ar meisce.’
20 Y dirán á los ancianos de la ciudad: Este nuestro hijo es contumaz y rebelde, no obedece á nuestra voz; es glotón y borracho.
20 und zu den Ältesten der Stadt sagen: Dieser unser Sohn ist eigenwillig und ungehorsam und gehorcht unsrer Stimme nicht und ist ein Schlemmer und ein Trunkenbold.
21 Then he is to be stoned to death by all the men of the town: so you are to put away the evil from among you; and all Israel, hearing of it, will be full of fear.
21 Et tous les hommes de sa ville le lapideront, et il mourra. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi, afin que tout Israël entende et craigne.
21 Ansin déanadh a chomhchathróirí go léir é a chur chun báis de chlocha; déanaigí an t‑olc seo a dhíbirt ó bhur lár. Cluinfidh Iosrael uile faoi seo, agus beidh scanradh orthu. Rialacha ar Leith
21 Entonces todos los hombres de su ciudad lo apedrearán con piedras, y morirá: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti; y todo Israel oirá, y temerá.
21 So sollen ihn steinigen alle Leute der Stadt, daß er sterbe, und sollst also das Böse von dir tun, daß es ganz Israel höre und sich fürchte.
22 If a man does a crime for which the punishment is death, and he is put to death by hanging him on a tree;
22 Si l'on fait mourir un homme qui a commis un crime digne de mort, et que tu l'aies pendu à un bois,
22 “Má dhéanann duine coir mharfach agus go gcuirtear chun báis é agus go gcrochann tú ar chrann é,
22 Cuando en alguno hubiere pecado de sentencia de muerte, por el que haya de morir, y le habrás colgado de un madero,
22 Wenn jemand eine Sünde getan hat, die des Todes würdig ist, und wird getötet, und man hängt ihn an ein Holz,
23 Do not let his body be on the tree all night, but put it to rest in the earth the same day; for the man who undergoes hanging is cursed by God; so do not make unclean the land which the Lord your God is giving you for your heritage.
23 son cadavre ne passera point la nuit sur le bois; mais tu l'enterreras le jour même, car celui qui est pendu est un objet de malédiction auprès de Dieu, et tu ne souilleras point le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne pour héritage.
