1 Then turning we took the road to Bashan: and Og, king of Bashan, came out against us with all his people, and made an attack on us at Edrei.
1 Nous nous tournâmes, et nous montâmes par le chemin de Basan. Og, roi de Basan, sortit à notre rencontre, avec tout son peuple, pour nous combattre à Édréi.
1 “Ansin chasamar i dtreo Bháiseán agus ghabhamar suas ann. Agus tháinig Óg rí Bháiseán amach inár n‑aghaidh, é féin agus a mhuintir go léir, chun cath a chur in Eidreí.
1 Y Volvimos, y subimos camino de Basán, y saliónos al encuentro Og rey de Basán para pelear, él y todo su pueblo, en Edrei.
1 Und wir wandten uns und zogen hinauf den Weg nach Basan. Und Og, der König von Basan, zog aus uns entgegen, mit allem seinem Volk, zu streiten bei Edrei.
2 And the Lord said to me, Have no fear of him: for I have given him and all his people and his land into your hands; do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who was ruling in Heshbon.
2 L'Éternel me dit: Ne le crains point; car je le livre entre tes mains, lui et tout son peuple, et son pays; tu le traiteras comme tu as traité Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon.
2 Ach dúirt an Tiarna liom: ‘Ná bíodh eagla ort roimhe, óir thug mé é féin agus a mhuintir go léir agus a fhearann ar láimh duit; tabhair an íde chéanna air a thug tú ar Shíochon rí na nAmórach a mhair i Heisbeon.’
2 Y díjome Jehová: No tengas temor de él, porque en tu mano he entregado á él y á todo su pueblo, y su tierra: y harás con él como hiciste con Sehón rey Amorrheo, que habitaba en Hesbón.
2 Aber der HERR sprach zu mir: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihm; denn ich habe ihn und all sein Volk mit seinem Lande in deine Hände gegeben; und du sollst mit ihm tun, wie du mit Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, getan hast, der zu Hesbon saß.
3 So the Lord our God gave up Og, king of Bashan, and all his people into our hands; and we overcame him so completely that all his people came to their end in the fight.
3 Et l'Éternel, notre Dieu, livra encore entre nos mains Og, roi de Basan, avec tout son peuple; nous le battîmes, sans laisser échapper aucun de ses gens.
3 Thug an Tiarna, más ea, Óg rí Bháiseán agus a mhuintir uile ar láimh dúinn chomh maith agus phleancamar é go dtí nár fágadh fear inste scéil.
3 Y Jehová nuestro Dios entregó también en nuestra mano á Og rey de Basán, y á todo su pueblo, al cual herimos hasta no quedar de él ninguno.
3 Also gab der HERR, unser Gott, auch den König Og von Basan in unsre Hände mit allem seinem Volk, daß wir ihn schlugen, bis daß ihm nichts übrigblieb.
4 At that time we took all his towns; there was not one town of the sixty towns, all the country of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which we did not take.
4 Nous prîmes alors toutes ses villes, et il n'y en eut pas une qui ne tombât en notre pouvoir: soixante villes, toute la contrée d'Argob, le royaume d'Og en Basan.
4 Ghabhamar a chathracha go léir an uair sin - níor fhágamar cathair dá gcuid nár ghabhamar - trí fichid cathair, dúiche uile Argob, ríocht Óg i mBáiseán.
4 Y tomamos entonces todas sus ciudades; no quedó ciudad que no les tomásemos: sesenta ciudades, toda la tierra de Argob, del reino de Og en Basán.
4 Da gewannen wir zu der Zeit alle seine Städte (und war keine Stadt, die wir ihm nicht nahmen): sechzig Städte, die ganze Gegend Argob, das Königreich Ogs von Basan.
5 All these towns had high walls round them with doors and locks; and in addition we took a great number of unwalled towns.
5 Toutes ces villes étaient fortifiées, avec de hautes murailles, des portes et des barres; il y avait aussi des villes sans murailles en très grand nombre.
5 Caisil dhaingne iadsan uile le ballaí arda, geataí, agus cuaillí - gan trácht ar bhailte na bPirizeach a bhí an-líonmhar.
5 Todas éstas eran ciudades fortalecidas con alto muro, con puertas y barras; sin otras muy muchas ciudades sin muro.
5 Alle diese Städte waren fest mit hohen Mauern, Toren und Riegeln, außer sehr vielen anderen Flecken ohne Mauern.
6 And we put them to the curse, every town together with men, women, and children.
6 Nous les dévouâmes par interdit, comme nous l'avions fait à Sihon, roi de Hesbon; nous dévouâmes toutes les villes par interdit, hommes, femmes et petits enfants.
6 Chuireamar faoi bhang iad mar a rinneamar le Síochon rí Heisbeon; chuireamar idir chathair is fhear agus bhean agus pháiste go léir faoi bhang.
6 Y destruímoslas, como hicimos á Sehón rey de Hesbón, destruyendo en toda ciudad hombres, mujeres, y niños.
6 Und wir verbannten sie, gleich wie wir mit Sihon, dem König zu Hesbon, taten. Alle Städte verbannten wir, mit Männern, Weibern und Kindern.
7 But we took for ourselves all the cattle and the stored wealth of the towns.
7 Mais nous pillâmes pour nous tout le bétail et le butin des villes.
7 Ach thugamar stoc agus spré na gcathracha sin linn mar chreach.
7 Y tomamos para nosotros todas las bestias, y los despojos de las ciudades.
7 Aber alles Vieh und den Raub der Städte raubten wir für uns.
8 At that time we took their land from the two kings of the Amorites on the far side of Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon;
8 C'est ainsi que, dans ce temps-là, nous conquîmes sur les deux rois des Amoréens le pays de l'autre côté du Jourdain, depuis le torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à la montagne de l'Hermon
8 Ghabhamar an uair úd, dá réir sin, fearann an dá rí Amórach lastall den Iordáin, ó Ghleann an Arnón go Sliabh Haermón
8 También tomamos en aquel tiempo de mano de dos reyes Amorrheos que estaban de esta parte del Jordán, la tierra desde el arroyo de Arnón hasta el monte de Hermón:
8 Also nahmen wir zu der Zeit das Land aus der Hand der zwei Könige der Amoriter, jenseit des Jordans, von dem Bach Arnon an bis an den Berg Hermon
9 (By the Sidonians, Hermon is named Sirion, and by the Amorites Shenir;)
9 (les Sidoniens donnent à l'Hermon le nom de Sirion, et les Amoréens celui de Senir,)
9 [tugann na Síodónaigh Sirion, ach na hAmóraigh Siníor, ar Hearmón];
9 (Los Sidonios llaman á Hermón Sirión; y los Amorrheos, Senir:)
9 (welchen die Sidoniter Sirjon heißen, aber die Amoriter heißen ihn Senir),
10 All the towns of the table-land and all Gilead and Bashan as far as Salecah and Edrei, towns of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
10 toutes les villes de la plaine, tout Galaad et tout Basan jusqu'à Salca et Édréi, villes du royaume d'Og en Basan.
10 cathracha uile an ardáin, Gileád go léir, agus Báiseán go léir chomh fada le Salacá agus Eidreí, príomhchathracha Óg i mBáiseán.
10 Todas las ciudades de la llanura, y todo Galaad, y todo Basán hasta Salchâ y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán.
10 alle Städte auf der Ebene und das ganze Gilead und das ganze Basan bis gen Salcha und Edrei, die Städte des Königreichs Ogs von Basan.
11 (For Og, king of Bashan, was the last of all the Rephaim; his bed was made of iron; is it not in Rabbah, in the land of the children of Ammon? It was nine cubits long and four cubits wide, measured by the common cubit.)
11 (Og, roi de Basan, était resté seul de la race des Rephaïm. Voici, son lit, un lit de fer, n'est-il pas à Rabbath, ville des enfants d'Ammon? Sa longueur est de neuf coudées, et sa largeur de quatre coudées, en coudées d'homme.)

11 Porque sólo Og rey de Basán había quedado de los gigantes que quedaron. He aquí su cama, una cama de hierro, ¿no está en Rabbath de los hijos de Ammón?; la longitud de ella de nueve codos, y su anchura de cuatro codos, al codo de un hombre.
11 (Denn allein der König Og von Basan war noch übrig von den Riesen. Siehe, sein eisernes Bett ist zu Rabba der Kinder Ammon, neun Ellen lang und vier Ellen breit nach eines Mannes Ellenbogen.)
12 And this land which we took at that time, from Aroer by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead with its towns, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites.
12 Nous prîmes alors possession de ce pays. Je donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites le territoire à partir d'Aroër sur le torrent de l'Arnon et la moitié de la montagne de Galaad avec ses villes.
12 “Nuair a ghabhamar seilbh ar an bhfearann seo ar aghaidh ó Aroéir i nGleann Arnón an uair úd, thug mé do chlann Reúbaen agus do chlann Ghád leath ardchlár Ghileád lena chathracha.
12 Y esta tierra que heredamos entonces desde Aroer, que está al arroyo de Arnón, y la mitad del monte de Galaad con sus ciudades, dí á los Rubenitas y á los Gaditas:
12 Solches Land nahmen wir ein zu derselben Zeit. Von Aroer an, das am Bach Arnon liegt, gab ich's den Rubeniter und Gaditern samt dem halben Gebirge Gilead mit seinen Städten.
13 The rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, all the land of Argob, together with Bashan, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. (This land is named the land of the Rephaim.
13 Je donnai à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé le reste de Galaad et tout le royaume d'Og en Basan: toute la contrée d'Argob, avec tout Basan, c'est ce qu'on appelait le pays des Rephaïm.
13 Do leaththreibh Mhanaise thug mé an chuid eile de Ghileád, Báiseán go léir, ríocht Óg. [Tugtar tír na Rafáím ar dhúiche Argob go léir, agus ar Bháiseán go léir.
13 Y el resto de Galaad, y todo Basán, del reino de Og, dí lo á la media tribu de Manasés; toda la tierra de Argob, todo Basán, que se llamaba la tierra de los gigantes.
13 Aber das übrige Gilead und das ganze Basan, das Königreich Ogs, gab ich dem halben Stamm Manasse, die ganze Gegend Argob (dieses ganze Basan heißt der Riesen Land).
14 Jair, the son of Manasseh, took all the land of Argob, as far as the country of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, naming it, Bashan, Havvoth-Jair after himself, as it is to this day.)
14 Jaïr, fils de Manassé, prit toute la contrée d'Argob jusqu'à la frontière des Gueschuriens et des Maacathiens, et il donna son nom aux bourgs de Basan, appelés encore aujourd'hui bourgs de Jaïr.
14 Ó ghabh Iáir mac Mhanaise dúiche Argob go léir ar aghaidh go teorainneacha na nGisiúrach, agus na Macátach, thug sé a ainm do na bailte sin ar a dtugfar go fóill Bailte Iáir.]
14 Jair hijo de Manasés tomó toda la tierra de Argob hasta el término de Gessuri y Machâti; y llamóla de su nombre Basán-havoth-jair, hasta hoy.
14 Jair, der Sohn Manasses, nahm die ganze Gegend Argob bis an die Grenze der Gessuriter und Maachathiter und hieß das Basan nach seinem Namen Dörfer Jairs bis auf den heutigen Tag.
15 And Gilead I gave to Machir.
15 Je donnai Galaad à Makir.
15 Do Mhácaír thug mé Gileád.
15 Y á Machîr dí á Galaad.
15 Machir aber gab ich Gilead.
16 And the land from Gilead to the valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley as a limit, as far as the river Jabbok which is the limit of the country of the children of Ammon, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites;
16 Aux Rubénites et aux Gadites je donnai une partie de Galaad jusqu'au torrent de l'Arnon, dont le milieu sert de limite, et jusqu'au torrent de Jabbok, frontière des enfants d'Ammon;
16 Do na Reúbaenaigh agus do na Gádaigh thug mé an dúiche a shíneann ó Ghileád go dtí Gleann Arnón, agus lár an choma mar theorainn, agus chomh fada suas le habhainn an Iaboc, an teorainn le clann Amón.
16 Y á los Rubenitas y Gaditas dí de Galaad hasta el arroyo de Arnón, el medio del arroyo por término; hasta el arroyo de Jaboc, término de los hijos de Ammón:
16 Und den Rubenitern und Gaditern gab ich des Gileads einen Teil bis an den Bach Arnon, die Mitte des Bachs, der die Grenze ist, und bis an den Bach Jabbok, der die Grenze ist der Kinder Ammon;
17 As well as the Arabah, with the river Jordan as their limit, from Chinnereth to the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah to the east.
17 je leur donnai encore la plaine, limitée par le Jourdain, depuis Kinnéreth jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, au pied du Pisga vers l'orient.
17 An tArabá agus an Iordáin na teorainneacha síos ó Chineirit síos go Muir Arabá, Muir an tSalainn, faoi bhun sleasa Phisceá lastoir. Teagasc
17 Asimismo la campiña, y el Jordán, y el término, desde Cinereth hasta la mar del llano, el mar Salado, las vertientes abajo del Pisga al oriente.
17 dazu das Gefilde und den Jordan, der die Grenze ist, von Kinnereth an bis an das Meer am Gefilde, das Salzmeer, unten am Berge Pisga gegen Morgen.
18 At that time I gave you orders, saying, The Lord has given you this land for your heritage: all the men of war are to go over armed before your brothers the children of Israel.
18 En ce temps-là, je vous donnai cet ordre. L'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous livre ce pays, pour que vous le possédiez. Vous tous, soldats, vous marcherez en armes devant les enfants d'Israël.
18 “Thug mé an t‑ordú seo daoibh an uair sin: ‘Thug an Tiarna bhur nDia an tír seo in bhur seilbh daoibh; ní foláir do bhur lucht gaile go léir airm a ghlacadh agus dul anonn ar cheann bhur mbráithre, clann Iosrael.
18 Y os mandé entonces, diciendo: Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dado esta tierra para que la poseáis: pasaréis armados delante de vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel todos los valientes.
18 Und ich gebot euch zu der Zeit und sprach: Der HERR, euer Gott, hat euch dies Land gegeben einzunehmen; so ziehet nun gerüstet vor euren Brüder, den Kindern Israel, her, was streitbar ist,
19 But your wives and your little ones and your cattle (for it is clear that you have much cattle) may go on living in the towns I have given you;
19 Vos femmes seulement, vos petits enfants et vos troupeaux-je sais que vous avez de nombreux troupeaux-resteront dans les villes que je vous ai donnée,
19 Bhur mná, bhur miondaoine, agus bhur stoc [tá a fhios agam go bhfuil a lán stoic agaibh] - iadsan amháin atá le fanacht in bhur ndiaidh sna cathracha a thug mé daoibh
19 Solamente vuestras mujeres, vuestros niños, y vuestros ganados, (yo sé que tenéis mucho ganado,) quedarán en vuestras ciudades que os he dado,
19 allein eure Weiber und Kinder und das Vieh (denn ich weiß, daß ihr viel Vieh habt) laßt in euren Städten belieben, die ich euch gegeben habe,
20 Till the Lord has given rest to your brothers as to you, and till they have taken for themselves the land which the Lord your God is giving them on the other side of Jordan: then you may go back, every man of you, to the heritage which I have given you.
20 jusqu'à ce que l'Éternel ait accordé du repos à vos frères comme à vous, et qu'ils possèdent, eux aussi, le pays que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, leur donne de l'autre côté du Jourdain. Et vous retournerez chacun dans l'héritage que je vous ai donné.
20 nó go socraí an Tiarna bhur mbráithre faoi mar a shocraigh sé sibhse, agus go bhfaighe siadsan leis seilbh ar an bhfearann atá an Tiarna, bhur nDia, á thabhairt dóibh ar an taobh eile den Iordáin; fillfidh sibh ansin, gach duine chun an fhearainn a thug mé dó.’
20 Hasta que Jehová dé reposo á vuestros hermanos, así como á vosotros, y hereden también ellos la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios les da á la otra parte del Jordán: entonces os volveréis cada uno a su heredad que yo os he dado.
20 bis daß der HERR eure Brüder auch zu Ruhe bringe wie euch, daß sie auch das Land einnehmen, das ihnen der HERR, euer Gott, geben wird jenseit des Jordans; so sollt ihr dann wiederkehren zu eurer Besitzung, die ich euch gegeben habe.
21 And I gave orders to Joshua at that time, saying, Your eyes have seen what the Lord your God has done to these two kings: so will the Lord do to all the kingdoms into which you come.
21 En ce temps-là, je donnai des ordres à Josué, et je dis: Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a fait à ces deux rois: ainsi fera l'Éternel à tous les royaumes contre lesquels tu vas marcher.
21 Ansin thug mé an t‑ordú seo do Iósua: ‘Chonaic tú le do shúile cinn a bhfuil déanta ag an Tiarna leis an dá rí seo; tabharfaidh an Tiarna an íde chéanna ar na ríochtaí go léir a dtriallfaidh sibh chucu.
21 Mandé también á Josué entonces, diciendo: Tus ojos vieron todo lo que Jehová vuestro Dios ha hecho á aquellos dos reyes: así hará Jehová á todos los reinos á los cuales pasarás tú.
21 Und Josua gebot ihnen zu derselben Zeit und sprach: Deine Augen haben gesehen alles, was der HERR, euer Gott, diesen Königen getan hat. Also wird der HERR auch allen Königreichen tun, da du hin ziehst.
22 Have no fear of them, for the Lord your God will be fighting for you.
22 Ne les craignez point; car l'Éternel, votre Dieu, combattra lui-même pour vous.
22 Ná bíodh eagla oraibh rompu; tá an Tiarna féin, bhur nDia, ag troid ar bhur son.’
22 No los temáis; que Jehová vuestro Dios, él es el que pelea por vosotros.
22 Fürchtet euch nicht vor ihnen; denn der HERR, euer Gott, streitet für euch.
23 And at that time I made request to the Lord, saying,
23 En ce temps-là, j'implorai la miséricorde de l'Éternel, en disant:
23 “Rinne mé achainí ar an Tiarna faoin am seo:
23 Y oré á Jehová en aquel tiempo, diciendo:
23 Und ich bat den HERRN zu derselben Zeit und sprach:
24 O Lord God, you have now for the first time let your servant see your great power and the strength of your hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth able to do such great works and such acts of power?
24 Seigneur Éternel, tu as commencé à montrer à ton serviteur ta grandeur et ta main puissante; car quel dieu y a-t-il, au ciel et sur la terre, qui puisse imiter tes oeuvres et tes hauts faits?
24 ‘A Thiarna Dia,’ arsa mise, ‘níl ach tús déanta agat ag nochtadh do mhórgachta agus do chumhachta do do sheirbhíseach, óir cén dia ar neamh nó ar talamh ar féidir leis éachtaí agus fearta mar do chuidse a dhéanamh?
24 Señor Jehová, tú has comenzado á mostrar á tu siervo tu grandeza, y tu mano fuerte: porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo ni en la tierra que haga según tus obras, y según tus valentías?
24 HERR HERR, du hast angehoben, zu erzeigen deinem Knecht deine Herrlichkeit und deine starke Hand. Denn wo ist ein Gott im Himmel und auf Erden, der es deinen Werken und deiner Macht könnte nachtun?
25 Let me go over, O Lord, and see the good land on the other side of Jordan, and that fair mountain country, even Lebanon.
25 Laisse-moi passer, je te prie, laisse-moi voir ce bon pays de l'autre côté du Jourdain, ces belles montagnes et le Liban.
25 Lig anonn mé le do thoil chun an fearann fónta thar Iordáin a fheiceáil, fearann fónta an ardáin agus na Liobáine.’
25 Pase yo, ruégote, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está á la parte allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.
25 Laß mich hinübergehen und sehen das gute Land jenseit des Jordans, dies gute Gebirge und den Libanon.
26 But the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not give ear to my prayer; and the Lord said to me, Let it be enough, say no more about this thing.
26 Mais l'Éternel s'irrita contre moi, à cause de vous, et il ne m'écouta point. L'Éternel me dit: C'est assez, ne me parle plus de cette affaire.
26 Ach de bhur mbarr-sa bhí an Tiarna i bhfearg liom, agus ní thabharfadh sé aird orm. ‘Cuir uait!’ arsa an Tiarna liom. ‘Ná luaigh é sin liom a thuilleadh.
26 Mas Jehová se había enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me oyó: y díjome Jehová: Bástate, no me hables más de este negocio.
26 Aber der HERR war erzürnt auf mich um euretwillen und erhörte mich nicht, sondern sprach: Laß es genug sein! rede mir davon nicht mehr!
27 Go up to the top of Pisgah, and turning your eyes to the west and the north, to the south and the east, see the land with your eyes: for you are not to go over Jordan.
27 Monte au sommet du Pisga, porte tes regards à l'occident, au nord, au midi et à l'orient, et contemple de tes yeux; car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain.
27 Gabh suas ar mhullach Phisceá, agus féach uait siar, agus ó thuaidh, agus ó dheas agus soir; bain radharc do shúl as, óir ní rachaidh tú thar an Iordáin seo.
27 Sube á la cumbre del Pisga, y alza tus ojos al occidente, y al aquilón, y al mediodía, y al oriente, y ve por tus ojos: porque no pasarás este Jordán.
27 Steige auf die Höhe des Berges Pisga, und hebe deine Augen auf gegen Abend und gegen Mitternacht und gegen Mittag und gegen Morgen, und siehe es mit deinen Augen; denn du wirst nicht über diesen Jordan gehen.
28 But give my orders to Joshua, comforting him and making him strong; for he is to go over Jordan at the head of this people, and he will give them this land which you will see for their heritage.
28 Donne des ordres à Josué, fortifie-le et affermis-le; car c'est lui qui marchera devant ce peuple et qui le mettra en possession du pays que tu verras.
28 Tabhair do threoracha do Iósua; tabhair misneach agus fuinneamh dó; óir eisean is ea a rachaidh sall ar cheann a phobail agus is é a thabharfaidh seilbh dóibh ar an tír ar a bhfaighidh tú radharc.’
28 Y manda a Josué, y anímalo, y confórtalo; porque él ha de pasar delante de este pueblo, y él les hará heredar la tierra que verás.
28 Und gebiete dem Josua, daß er getrost und unverzagt sei; denn er soll über den Jordan ziehen vor dem Volk her und soll ihnen das Land austeilen, das du sehen wirst.
29 So we were waiting in the valley facing Beth-peor.
29 Nous demeurâmes dans la vallée, vis-à-vis de Beth Peor.
