1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a great number of cattle: and when they saw that the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead was a good place for cattle;
1 Les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad avaient une quantité considérable de troupeaux, et ils virent que le pays de Jaezer et le pays de Galaad étaient un lieu propre pour des troupeaux.

1 Y Los hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad tenían una muy grande muchedumbre de ganado; los cuales viendo la tierra de Jazer y de Galaad, parecióles el país lugar de ganado.
1 Die Kinder Ruben und die Kinder Gad hatten sehr viel Vieh und sahen das Land Jaser und Gilead an als gute Stätte für ihr Vieh
2 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and said to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the chiefs of the meeting,
2 Alors les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben vinrent auprès de Moïse, du sacrificateur Éléazar et des princes de l'assemblée, et ils leur dirent:

2 Y vinieron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, y hablaron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á los príncipes de la congregación, diciendo:
2 und kamen und sprachen zu Mose und zu dem Priester Eleasar und zu den Fürsten der Gemeinde:
3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
3 Atharoth, Dibon, Jaezer, Nimra, Hesbon, Élealé, Sebam, Nebo et Beon,

4 The land which the Lord gave into the hands of the children of Israel, is a land for cattle, and your servants have cattle.
4 ce pays que l'Éternel a frappé devant l'assemblée d'Israël, est un lieu propre pour des troupeaux, et tes serviteurs ont des troupeaux.

4 La tierra que Jehová hirió delante de la congregación de Israel, es tierra de ganado, y tus siervos tienen ganado.
4 das der HERR geschlagen hat vor der Gemeinde Israel, ist gut zur Weide; und wir, deine Knechte, haben Vieh.
5 And they said, With your approval, let this land be given to your servants as their heritage: do not take us over Jordan.
5 Ils ajoutèrent: Si nous avons trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que la possession de ce pays soit accordée à tes serviteurs, et ne nous fais point passer le Jourdain.
5 Más fiú sinn do chairdeas,” ar siad, “tabhair an talamh seo i seilbh do shearbhóntaí; ná cuir d'iallach orainn dul thar Iordáin.”
5 Por tanto, dijeron, si hallamos gracia en tus ojos, dése esta tierra á tus siervos en heredad, y no nos hagas pasar el Jordán.
5 Und sprachen weiter: Haben wir Gnade vor dir gefunden, so gib dies Land deinen Knechten zu eigen, so wollen wir nicht über den Jordan ziehen.
6 And Moses said to the children of Gad and the children of Reuben, Are your brothers to go to the war, while you take your rest here?
6 Moïse répondit aux fils de Gad et aux fils de Ruben: Vos frères iront-ils à la guerre, et vous, resterez-vous ici?

7 Why would you take from the children of Israel the desire to go over into the land which the Lord has given them?
7 Pourquoi voulez-vous décourager les enfants d'Israël de passer dans le pays que l'Éternel leur donne?
7 Cad ab áil libh ag cur drochmhisneach ar chlann Iosrael dul isteach sa tír a thug an Tiarna dóibh?
7 ¿Y por qué prevenís el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no pasen á la tierra que les ha dado Jehová?
7 Warum macht ihr der Kinder Israel Herzen abwendig, daß sie nicht hinüberziehen in das Land, das ihnen der HERR geben wird?
8 So did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
8 Ainsi firent vos pères, quand je les envoyai de Kadès Barnéa pour examiner le pays.
8 Sin é mar a rinne bhur n‑aithreacha nuair a sheol mé iad ó Cháidéis Bairnéa d'fhonn an tír a bhrath.
8 Así hicieron vuestros padres, cuando los envié desde Cades-barnea para que viesen la tierra.
8 Also taten auch eure Väter, da ich sie aussandte von Kades-Barnea, das Land zu schauen;
9 For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they took from the children of Israel the desire to go into the land which the Lord had given them.
9 Ils montèrent jusqu'à la vallée d'Eschcol, et, après avoir examiné le pays, ils découragèrent les enfants d'Israël d'aller dans le pays que l'Éternel leur donnait.
9 Ghabhadar suas go Gleann Eisciol agus thaiscéaladar an tír, ach d'fhágadar clann Iosrael gan de mhisneach acu dul isteach sa tír a thug an Tiarna dóibh.
9 Que subieron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y después que vieron la tierra, preocuparon el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no viniesen á la tierra que Jehová les había dado.
9 und da sie hinaufgekommen waren bis an den Bach Eskol und sahen das Land, machten sie das Herz der Kinder Israel abwendig, daß sie nicht in das Land wollten, das ihnen der HERR geben wollte.
10 And at that time the Lord was moved to wrath, and made an oath, saying,
10 La colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma ce jour-là, et il jura en disant:
10 Uime sin las fraoch feirge an Tiarna an lá sin agus mhionnaigh sé mar leanas:
10 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió entonces, y juró diciendo:
10 Und des HERRN Zorn ergrimmte zur selben Zeit, und er schwur und sprach:
11 Truly, not one of the men of twenty years old and over who came out of Egypt will see the land which I gave by oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; because they have not been true to me with all their heart;
11 Ces hommes qui sont montés d'Égypte, depuis l'âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, ne verront point le pays que j'ai juré de donner à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, car ils n'ont pas suivi pleinement ma voie,
11 ‘Ambasa nach bhfaighidh aon fhear den dream a tháinig amach as an Éigipt, atá fiche bliain nó breis, radharc ar an tír a gheallas d'Abrahám, d'Íosác, agus do Iacób. Óir níor leanadar mé go dílis -
11 Que no verán los varones que subieron de Egipto de veinte años arriba, la tierra por la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, por cuanto no fueron perfectos en pos de mí;
11 Diese Leute, die aus Ägypten gezogen sind, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber sollen wahrlich das Land nicht sehen, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen habe, darum daß sie mir nicht treulich nachgefolgt sind;
12 But only Caleb, the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua, the son of Nun: because they have been true to the Lord.
12 excepté Caleb, fils de Jephunné, le Kenizien, et Josué, fils de Nun, qui ont pleinement suivi la voie de l'Éternel.
12 seachas Cálaeb mac Iafuna an Cinizeach agus Iósua mac Nún mar leanadar seo an Tiarna go dílis.’
12 Excepto Caleb, hijo de Jephone Cenezeo, y Josué hijo de Nun, que fueron perfectos en pos de Jehová.
12 ausgenommen Kaleb, den Sohn Jephunnes, des Kenisiters, und Josua, den Sohn Nuns; denn sie sind dem HERRN treulich nachgefolgt.
13 Then the Lord was angry with Israel, and he made them wanderers in the waste land for forty years? till all that generation who had done evil in the eyes of the Lord was dead.
13 La colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma contre Israël, et il les fit errer dans le désert pendant quarante années, jusqu'à l'anéantissement de toute la génération qui avait fait le mal aux yeux de l'Éternel.
13 Las fraoch feirge an Tiarna in aghaidh Iosrael agus chuir sé le fán iad san fhásach ar feadh daichead bliain, go dtí gur díothaíodh an ghlúin a pheacaigh i láthair an Tiarna.
13 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió en Israel, é hízolos andar errantes cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que fué acabada toda aquella generación, que había hecho mal delante de Jehová.
13 Also ergrimmte des HERRN Zorn über Israel, und er ließ sie hin und her in der Wüste ziehen vierzig Jahre, bis daß ein Ende ward all des Geschlechts, das übel getan hatte vor dem HERRN.
14 And now you have come to take the place of your fathers, another generation of sinners, increasing the wrath of the Lord against Israel.
14 Et voici, vous prenez la place de vos pères comme des rejetons d'hommes pécheurs, pour rendre la colère de l'Éternel encore plus ardente contre Israël.
14 Seo sibhse anois ag éirí in áit bhur n‑aithreacha, a chraobh de cheap na bpeacaí ag cur le fraoch feirge lasánta an Tiarna in aghaidh Iosrael!
14 Y he aquí vosotros habéis sucedido en lugar de vuestros padres, prole de hombres pecadores, para añadir aún á la ira de Jehová contra Israel.
14 Und siehe, ihr seid aufgetreten an eurer Väter Statt, daß der Sünder desto mehr seien und ihr auch den Zorn und Grimm des HERRN noch mehr macht wider Israel.
15 For if you are turned away from him, he will send them wandering again in the waste land; and you will be the cause of the destruction of all this people.
15 Car, si vous vous détournez de lui, il continuera de laisser Israël au désert, et vous causerez la perte de tout ce peuple.
15 Má iompaíonn sibh agus gan é a leanúint, fágfaidh sé níos sia fós san fhásach iad, agus tabharfaidh sibh díth ar an bpobal seo ar fad.”
15 Si os volviereis de en pos de él, él volverá otra vez á dejaros en el desierto, y destruiréis á todo este pueblo.
15 Denn wo ihr euch von ihm wendet, so wird er auch noch länger sie lassen in der Wüste, und ihr werdet dies Volk alles verderben.
16 Then they came to him, and said, We will make safe places for our cattle here, and towns for our little ones;
16 Ils s'approchèrent de Moïse, et ils dirent: Nous construirons ici des parcs pour nos troupeaux et des villes pour nos petits enfants;
16 Thángadar ina chóngar agus dúradar: “B'áil linn cróite a thógáil anseo dár dtréada agus cathracha dár miondaoine;
16 Entonces ellos se allegaron á él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños;
16 Da traten sie herzu und sprachen: Wir wollen nur Schafhürden hier bauen für unser Vieh und Städte für unsere Kinder;
17 But we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel till we have taken them to their place: but our little ones will be safe in the walled towns against the people of the land.
17 puis nous nous équiperons en hâte pour marcher devant les enfants d'Israël, jusqu'à ce que nous les ayons introduits dans le lieu qui leur est destiné; et nos petits enfants demeureront dans les villes fortes, à cause des habitants du pays.
17 ach tógfaimid féin airm inár lámha le dul ar aghaidh roimh chlann Iosrael go dtí go dtabharfaimid iad chun na háite atá in áirithe dóibh; fanfaidh ár miondaoine sna cathracha daingne, slán ó mhuintir na tíre.
17 Y nosotros nos armaremos, é iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar: y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes á causa de los moradores del país.
17 wir aber wollen uns rüsten vornan vor den Kindern Israel her, bis daß wir sie bringen an ihren Ort. Unsre Kinder sollen in den verschlossenen Städten bleiben um der Einwohner willen des Landes.
18 We will not come back to our houses till every one of the children of Israel has come into his heritage.
18 Nous ne retournerons point dans nos maisons avant que les enfants d'Israël aient pris possession chacun de son héritage;
18 Ní fhillfimid ar ár mbaile go mbeidh gach duine de chlann Iosrael i seilbh a oidhreachta.
18 No volveremos á nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad.
18 Wir wollen nicht heimkehren, bis die Kinder Israel einnehmen ein jeglicher sein Erbe.
19 For we will not have our heritage with them on the other side of Jordan and forward; because our heritage has come to us on this side of Jordan to the east.
19 et nous ne posséderons rien avec eux de l'autre côté du Jourdain, ni plus loin, puisque nous aurons notre héritage de ce côté-ci du Jourdain, à l'orient.
19 Óir beimidne gan oidhreacht leosan ar an taobh eile den Iordáin nó níos sia ar aghaidh, mar is anseo, lastoir den Iordáin, a bhaineamar amach ár n‑oidhreacht.”
19 Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de estotra parte del Jordán al oriente.
19 Denn wir wollen nicht mit ihnen erben jenseit des Jordans, sondern unser Erbe soll uns diesseit des Jordan gegen Morgen gefallen sein.
20 Then Moses said to them, If you will do this, arming yourselves to go before the Lord to the war,
20 Moïse leur dit: Si vous faites cela, si vous vous armez pour combattre devant l'Éternel,
20 Dúirt Maois leo ansin: “Má dhéanann sibh de réir bhur mbriathra, agus arm a thógáil in bhur lámha le dul ar aghaidh sa chath roimh an Tiarna,
20 Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante de Jehová á la guerra,
20 Mose sprach zu Ihnen: Wenn ihr das tun wollt, daß ihr euch rüstet zum Streit vor dem HERRN,
21 Every armed man of you going across Jordan before the Lord till he has overcome and sent in flight all who are against him,
21 si tous ceux de vous qui s'armeront passent le Jourdain devant l'Éternel jusqu'à ce qu'il ait chassé ses ennemis loin de sa face,
21 agus má ghabhann gach duine agaibh a iompraíonn arm thar an Iordáin roimh an Tiarna, nó go dtiomáinfidh sé a naimhde go léir amach roimhe,
21 Y pasareis todos vosotros armados el Jordán delante de Jehová, hasta que haya echado á sus enemigos de delante de sí,
21 so zieht über den Jordan vor dem HERRN, wer unter euch gerüstet ist, bis daß er seine Feinde austreibe von seinem Angesicht
22 And the land is under the rule of the Lord: then after that you may come back, having done no wrong to the Lord and to Israel; and this land will be yours for your heritage before the Lord.
22 et si vous revenez seulement après que le pays aura été soumis devant l'Éternel, -vous serez alors sans reproche vis-à-vis de l'Éternel et vis-à-vis d'Israël, et cette contrée-ci sera votre propriété devant l'Éternel.
22 ansin, nuair a bheidh an tír ar a láimh ag an Tiarna, ní miste sibh a fhilleadh; beidh sibh saor ó bhur ndualgas don Tiarna agus do Iosrael; agus beidh an tír seo mar sheilbh oidhreachta agaibh i láthair an Tiarna.
22 Y sea el país sojuzgado delante de Jehová; luego volveréis, y seréis libres de culpa para con Jehová, y para con Israel; y esta tierra será vuestra en heredad delante de Jehová.
22 und das Land untertan werde dem HERRN; darnach sollt ihr umwenden und unschuldig sein vor dem HERRN und vor Israel und sollt dies Land also haben zu eigen vor dem HERRN.
23 But if you do not do this, then you are sinners against the Lord; and you may be certain that your sin will have its reward.
23 Mais si vous ne faites pas ainsi, vous péchez contre l'Éternel; sachez que votre péché vous atteindra.
23 Ach mura ndéanann sibh amhlaidh, beidh peaca á dhéanamh agaibh in aghaidh an Tiarna, agus is deimhin go dtiocfaidh bhur bpeaca oraibh.
23 Mas si así no lo hiciereis, he aquí habréis pecado á Jehová; y sabed que os alcanzará vuestro pecado.
23 Wo ihr aber nicht also tun wollt, siehe, so werdet ihr euch an dem HERRN versündigen und werdet eurer Sünde innewerden, wenn sie euch finden wird.
24 So get to work building your towns for your little ones, and safe places for your sheep; and do as you have said.
24 Construisez des villes pour vos petits enfants et des parcs pour vos troupeaux, et faites ce que votre bouche a déclaré.
24 Déanaigí cathracha dá bhrí sin do bhur miondaoine agus cróite do bhur dtréada; ach déanaigí beart leis de réir bhur mbriathra.”
24 Edificaos ciudades para vuestros niños, y majadas para vuestras ovejas, y haced lo que ha salido de vuestra boca.
24 So bauet nun Städte für eure Kinder und Hürden für euer Vieh und tut, was ihr geredet habt.
25 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben said to Moses, Your servants will do as my lord says.
25 Les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben dirent à Moïse: Tes serviteurs feront ce que mon seigneur ordonne.
25 Dúirt clann Ghád agus clann Reúbaen le Maois: “Déanfaidh do shearbhóntaí mar a ordaíonn tú, a thiarna.
25 Y hablaron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén á Moisés, diciendo: Tus siervos harán como mi señor ha mandado.
25 Die Kinder Gad und die Kinder Ruben sprachen zu Mose: Deine Knechte sollen tun, wie mein Herr geboten hat.
26 Our little ones, our wives, and our flocks, and all our cattle, will be there in the towns of Gilead;
26 Nos petits enfants, nos femmes, nos troupeaux et tout notre bétail, resteront dans les villes de Galaad;
26 Fanfaidh ár miondaoine, ár mná, ár dtréada, agus ár dtáinte go léir ansiúd i gcathracha Ghileád,
26 Nuestros niños, nuestras mujeres, nuestros ganados, y todas nuestras bestias, estarán ahí en las ciudades de Galaad;
26 Unsre Kinder, Weiber, Habe und all unser Vieh sollen in den Städten Gileads sein;
27 But your servants will go over, every man armed for war, before the Lord to the fight, as my lord says.
27 et tes serviteurs, tous armés pour la guerre, iront combattre devant l'Éternel, comme dit mon seigneur.
27 ach do shearbhóntaí, gach fear le harm cogaidh ina láimh, rachaidh siad sall chun catha roimh an Tiarna amach mar a d'ordaigh tú, a thiarna.”
27 Y tus siervos, armados todos de guerra, pasarán delante de Jehová á la guerra, de la manera que mi señor dice.
27 wir aber, deine Knechte, wollen alle gerüstet zum Heer in den Streit ziehen vor dem HERRN, wie mein Herr geredet hat.
28 So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua, the son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the tribes of the children of Israel.
28 Moïse donna des ordres à leur sujet au sacrificateur Éléazar, à Josué, fils de Nun, et aux chefs de famille dans les tribus des enfants d'Israël.
28 Ansin thug Maois treoracha ina dtaobh do Eileázár an sagart, do Iósua mac Nún, agus do cheannairí theaghlaigh athartha threibheanna Iosrael.
28 Entonces los encomendó Moisés á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los príncipes de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel.
28 Da gebot Mose ihrethalben dem Priester Eleasar und Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und den obersten Vätern der Stämme der Kinder Israel
29 And Moses said to them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben go with you over Jordan, every man armed for the fight before the Lord, and all the land is given into your hands, then let them have the land of Gilead for a heritage:
29 Il leur dit: Si les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben passent avec vous le Jourdain, tous armés pour combattre devant l'Éternel, et que le pays soit soumis devant vous, vous leur donnerez en propriété la contrée de Galaad.
29 Dúirt Maois leo: “Má ghabhann gach fear a iompraíonn arm de chlann Ghád agus de chlann Reúbaen thar an Iordáin libh chun troid roimh an Tiarna amach, nuair a bheidh an tír faoi smacht agaibh, ansin tugaigí tír Ghileád ina seilbh.
29 Y díjoles Moisés: Si los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, pasaren con vosotros el Jordán, armados todos de guerra delante de Jehová, luego que el país fuere sojuzgado delante de vosotros, les daréis la tierra de Galaad en posesión:
29 und sprach zu ihnen: Wenn die Kinder Gad und die Kinder Ruben mit euch über den Jordan ziehen, alle gerüstet zum Streit vor dem HERRN, und das Land euch untertan ist, so gebet ihnen das Land Gilead zu eigen;
30 But if they do not go over with you armed, they will have to take their heritage with you in the land of Canaan.
30 Mais s'ils ne marchent point en armes avec vous, qu'ils s'établissent au milieu de vous dans le pays de Canaan.
30 Ach mura dtéann siad anonn faoi airm libh, ansin ní foláir dóibh a n‑oidhreacht a bheith in bhur measc i dtír Chanán.”
30 Mas si no pasaren armados con vosotros, entonces tendrán posesión entre vosotros en la tierra de Canaán.
30 ziehen sie aber nicht mit euch gerüstet, so sollen sie unter euch erben im Lande Kanaan.
31 Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben said, As the Lord has said to your servants, so will we do.
31 Les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben répondirent: Nous ferons ce que l'Éternel a dit à tes serviteurs.
31 D'fhreagair clann Ghád agus clann Reúbaen: “Déanfaimid ar ordaigh an Tiarna do do shearbhóntaí.
31 Y los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén respondieron, diciendo: Haremos lo que Jehová ha dicho á tus siervos.
31 Die Kinder Gad und die Kinder Ruben antworteten und sprachen: Wie der Herr redete zu seinen Knechten, so wollen wir tun.
32 We will go over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, and you will give us our heritage on this side of Jordan.
32 Nous passerons en armes devant l'Éternel au pays de Canaan; mais que nous possédions notre héritage de ce côté-ci du Jourdain.
32 Rachaimid anonn faoi airm go tír Chanán roimh an Tiarna amach, ach ní foláir daoibh seilbh a fhágáil againn ar ár n‑oidhreacht lastall den Iordáin.”
32 Nosotros pasaremos armados delante de Jehová á la tierra de Canaán, y la posesión de nuestra heredad será de esta parte del Jordán.
32 Wir wollen gerüstet ziehen vor dem HERRN ins Land Kanaan und unser Erbgut besitzen diesseit des Jordans.
33 So Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad and the children of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og, king of Bashan, all the land with its towns and the country round them.
33 Moïse donna aux fils de Gad et aux fils de Ruben, et à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé, fils de Joseph, le royaume de Sihon, roi des Amoréens, et le royaume d'Og, roi de Basan, le pays avec ses villes, avec les territoires des villes du pays tout alentour.

33 Also gab Mose den Kindern Gad und den Kindern Ruben und dem halben Stamm Manasses, des Sohnes Josephs, das Königreich Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und das Königreich Ogs, des Königs von Basan, das Land samt den Städten in dem ganzen Gebiete umher.
34 And the children of Gad were the builders of Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer;

39 And the children of Machir, the son of Manasseh, went to Gilead and took it, driving out the Amorites who were living there.
