1 And Balaam said to Balak, Make me here seven altars and get ready seven oxen and seven male sheep.
1 Balaam dit à Balak: Bâtis-moi ici sept autels, et prépare-moi ici sept taureaux et sept béliers.
1 Dúirt Balám le Bálác: “Tóg seacht n‑altóirí anseo dom agus tabhair anseo chugam seacht dtarbh agus seacht reithe.”
1 Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Edifícame aquí siete altares, y prepárame aquí siete becerros y siete carneros.
1 Und Bileam sprach zu Balak: Baue mir hier sieben Altäre und schaffe mir her sieben Farren und sieben Widder.
2 And Balak did as Balaam had said; and Balak and Balaam made an offering on every altar of an ox and a male sheep.
2 Balak fit ce que Balaam avait dit; et Balak et Balaam offrirent un taureau et un bélier sur chaque autel.
2 Rinne Bálác mar a d'iarr Balám agus d'ofráil Bálác agus Balám tarbh agus reithe ar gach altóir.
2 Y Balac hizo como le dijo Balaam: y ofrecieron Balac y Balaam un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.
2 Balak tat, wie ihm Bileam sagte; und beide, Balak und Bileam, opferten je auf einem Altar einen Farren und einen Widder.
3 Then Balaam said to Balak, Take your place by your burned offering, and I will go and see if the Lord comes to me: and I will give you word of whatever he says to me. And he went to an open place on a hill.
3 Balaam dit à Balak: Tiens-toi près de ton holocauste, et je m'éloignerai; peut-être que l'Éternel viendra à ma rencontre, et je te dirai ce qu'il me révélera. Et il alla sur un lieu élevé.
3 Dúirt Balám ansin le Bálác: “Seas láimh le d'íobairt uileloiscthe. Rachaidh mé ar aghaidh; b'fhéidir go gceadóidh an Tiarna dom teagmháil leis. Cibé rud a nochtfaidh sé dom, inseoidh mé duit.” Ar aghaidh leis go barr maolchnoic.
3 Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Ponte junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré: quizá Jehová me vendrá al encuentro, y cualquiera cosa que me mostrare, te la noticiaré. Y así se fué solo.
3 Und Bileam sprach zu Balak: Tritt zu deinem Brandopfer; ich will hingehen, ob vielleicht mir der HERR begegne, daß ich dir ansage, was er mir zeigt. Und ging hin eilend.
4 And God came to Balaam, and Balaam said to him, I have made ready seven altars, offering an ox and a male sheep on every altar.
4 Dieu vint au-devant de Balaam, et Balaam lui dit: J'ai dressé sept autels, et j'ai offert un taureau et un bélier sur chaque autel.
4 Tháinig Dia i gcoinne Bhalám agus dúirt Balám leis: “Dheasaigh mé na seacht n‑altoirí agus d'ofráil mé tarbh agus reithe ar gach altóir díobh ina n‑íobairt loiscthe.”
4 Y vino Dios al encuentro de Balaam, y éste le dijo: Siete altares he ordenado, y en cada altar he ofrecido un becerro y un carnero.
4 Und Gott begegnete Bileam; er aber sprach zu ihm: Sieben Altäre habe ich zugerichtet und je auf einem Altar einen Farren und einen Widder geopfert.
5 And the Lord put words in Balaam's mouth, and said, Go back to Balak, and this is what you are to say.
5 L'Éternel mit des paroles dans la bouche de Balaam, et dit: Retourne vers Balak, et tu parleras ainsi.
5 Chuir an Tiarna ansin focal ina bhéal agus dúirt leis: “Ar ais leat go Bálác agus sin é a déarfaidh tú leis.”
5 Y Jehová puso palabra en la boca de Balaam, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y has de hablar así.
5 Der HERR aber gab das Wort dem Bileam in den Mund und sprach: Gehe wieder zu Balak und rede also.
6 So he went back to him where he was waiting by his burned offering with all the chiefs of Moab.
6 Il retourna vers lui; et voici, Balak se tenait près de son holocauste, lui et tous les chefs de Moab.
6 Chuaigh Balám ar ais chuige agus b'shiúd é ansiúd é ina sheasamh ag a íobairt uileloiscthe agus taoisigh Mhóáb go léir ina thimpeall.
6 Y volvió á él, y he aquí estaba él junto á su holocausto, él y todos los príncipes de Moab.
6 Und da er wieder zu ihm kam, siehe, da stand er bei dem Brandopfer samt allen Fürsten der Moabiter.
7 And in the words which the Lord had given him he said, From Aram Balak has sent for me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East: come, put curses on Jacob for me and be angry with Israel.
7 Balaam prononça son oracle, et dit: Balak m'a fait descendre d'Aram, Le roi de Moab m'a fait descendre des montagnes de l'Orient. -Viens, maudis-moi Jacob! Viens, sois irrité contre Israël!
7 Ansin reac sé a laoi agus dúirt: “Thug Bálác leis mé ó Arám, rí Mhóáb ó shléibhte an oirthir. ‘Tar agus cuir mallacht ar Iacób dom, agus déan aoir ar Iosrael.’
7 Y él tomó su parábola, y dijo: De Aram me trajo Balac, Rey de Moab, de los montes del oriente: Ven, maldíceme á Jacob; Y ven, execra á Israel.
7 Da hob er an seinen Spruch und sprach: Aus Syrien hat mich Balak, der Moabiter König, holen lassen von dem Gebirge gegen Aufgang: Komm, verfluche mir Jakob! komm schilt Israel!
8 How may I put curses on him who is not cursed by God? how may I be angry with him with whom the Lord is not angry?
8 Comment maudirais-je celui que Dieu n'a point maudit? Comment serais-je irrité quand l'Éternel n'est point irrité?
8 Conas is féidir dom mallacht a chur ar an te nár chuir Dia mallacht air? Conas is féidir dom aoir a dhéanamh ar an te nach ndearna Dia aoir air?
8 ¿Por qué maldeciré yo al que Dios no maldijo? ¿Y por qué he de execrar al que Jehová no ha execrado?
8 Wie soll ich fluchen, dem Gott nicht flucht? Wie soll ich schelten, den der HERR nicht schilt?
9 From the top of the rocks I see him, looking down on him from the hills: it is a people made separate, not to be numbered among the nations.
9 Je le vois du sommet des rochers, Je le contemple du haut des collines: C'est un peuple qui a sa demeure à part, Et qui ne fait point partie des nations.
9 Feicim é ó bharr na sléibhte, agus ó mhaoileann na gcnoc a fhairim é: Pobal ag maireachtáil leo féin, nach n‑áiríonn iad féin ar na ciníocha.
9 Porque de la cumbre de las peñas lo veré, Y desde los collados lo miraré: He aquí un pueblo que habitará confiado, Y no será contado entre las gentes.
9 Denn von der Höhe der Felsen sehe ich ihn wohl, und von den Hügeln schaue ich ihn. Siehe, das Volk wird besonders wohnen und nicht unter die Heiden gerechnet werden.
10 Who is able to take the measure of the dust of Jacob or the number of the thousands of Israel? May my death be the death of the upright and my last end like his!
10 Qui peut compter la poussière de Jacob, Et dire le nombre du quart d'Israël? Que je meure de la mort des justes, Et que ma fin soit semblable à la leur!
10 Cé d'fhéadfadh luaithreach Iacóib a ríomh? Cé d'fhéadfadh deannach shlua Iosrael a áireamh? Gurbh é bás an fhíréin mo bhás-sa! Gurbh í a gcríoch siúd mo chríochsa.”
10 ¿Quién contará el polvo de Jacob, O el número de la cuarta parte de Israel? Muera mi persona de la muerte de los rectos, Y mi postrimería sea como la suya.
10 Wer kann zählen den Staub Jakobs und die Zahl des vierten Teils Israels? Meine Seele müsse sterben des Todes der Gerechten, und mein Ende werde wie dieser Ende!
11 Then Balak said to Balaam, What have you done to me? I sent for you so that my haters might be cursed, and see, you have given them a blessing.
11 Balak dit à Balaam: Que m'as-tu fait? Je t'ai pris pour maudire mon ennemi, et voici, tu le bénis!
11 Dúirt Bálác le Balám: “Cad é seo a rinne tú orm? Thug mé liom thú chun mallacht a chur ar mo naimhde, agus seo tú gan ar siúl agat ach ag cur beannachtaí orthu!”
11 Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué me has hecho? hete tomado para que maldigas á mis enemigos, y he aquí has proferido bendiciones.
11 Da sprach Balak zu Bileam: Was tust du an mir? Ich habe dich holen lassen, zu fluchen meinen Feinden; und siehe, du segnest.
12 And in answer he said, Am I not ordered to say only what the Lord puts into my mouth?
12 Il répondit, et dit: N'aurai-je pas soin de dire ce que l'Éternel met dans ma bouche?
12 D'fhreagair Balám: “Nach bhfuil sé de cheangal orm féachaint chuige a gcuireann an Tiarna i mo bhéal a labhairt?”
12 Y él respondió, y dijo: ¿No observaré yo lo que Jehová pusiere en mi boca para decirlo?
12 Er antwortete und sprach: Muß ich das nicht halten und reden, was mir der HERR in den Mund gibt?
13 And Balak said to him, Come with me now into another place from which you will not be able to see them all, but only the outskirts of them; and you will send curses on them from there.
13 Balak lui dit: Viens donc avec moi dans un autre lieu, d'où tu le verras; tu n'en verras qu'une partie, tu n'en verras pas la totalité. Et de là maudis-le-moi.
13 Dúirt Bálác leis: “Tar liom go láthair eile óna bhféadfaidh tú iad a fheiceáil. Níl radharc agat ón áit seo ach ar imeall an tslua seo, níl radharc agat orthu go léir. Cuir mallacht orthu ón áit sin thall.”
13 Y dijo Balac: Ruégote que vengas conmigo á otro lugar desde el cual lo veas; su extremidad solamente verás, que no lo verás todo; y desde allí me lo maldecirás.
13 Balak sprach zu ihm: Komm doch mit mir an einen andern Ort, von wo du nur sein Ende sehest und es nicht ganz sehest, und fluche mir ihm daselbst.
14 So he took him into the country of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and there they made seven altars, offering an ox and a male sheep on every altar.
14 Il le mena au champ de Tsophim, sur le sommet du Pisga; il bâtit sept autels, et offrit un taureau et un bélier sur chaque autel.
14 Thug sé leis é go Gort na Spiairí i dtreo mhullach Phisceá. Thóg sé seacht n‑altóirí ansiúd agus d'ofráil sé tarbh agus reithe ar gach altóir.
14 Y llevólo al campo de Sophim, á la cumbre de Pisga, y edificó siete altares, y ofreció un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.
14 Und er führte ihn auf einen freien Platz auf der Höhe Pisga und baute sieben Altäre und opferte je auf einem Altar einen Farren und einen Widder.
15 Then he said to Balak, Take your place here by your burned offering, while I go over there to the Lord.
15 Balaam dit à Balak: Tiens-toi ici, près de ton holocauste, et j'irai à la rencontre de Dieu.
15 Duirt Balám le Bálác: “Seas taobh le d'íobairt uileloiscthe; buailfear liomsa anseo thall.”
15 Entonces él dijo á Balac: Ponte aquí junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré á encontrar á Dios allí.
15 Und (Bileam) sprach zu Balak: Tritt her zu deinem Brandopfer; ich will dort warten.
16 And the Lord came to Balaam, and put words in his mouth, and said, Go back to Balak, and this is what you are to say.
16 L'Éternel vint au-devant de Balaam; il mit des paroles dans sa bouche, et dit: Retourne vers Balak, et tu parleras ainsi.
16 Tháinig Dia i gcoinne Bhalám agus chuir focal ina bhéal agus dúirt leis: “Ar ais leat go Bálác agus sin é a déarfaidh tú leis.”
16 Y Jehová salió al encuentro de Balaam, y puso palabra en su boca, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y así has de decir.
16 Und der HERR begegnete Bileam und gab ihm das Wort in seinen Mund und sprach: Gehe wieder zu Balak und rede also.
17 So he came to him where he was waiting by his burned offering with the chiefs of Moab by his side. And Balak said to him, What has the Lord said?
17 Il retourna vers lui; et voici, Balak se tenait près de son holocauste, avec les chefs de Moab. Balak lui dit: Qu'est-ce que l'Éternel a dit?
17 Chuaigh Balám ar ais chuige agus b'shiúd é ansiúd é ina sheasamh ag a íobairt uileloiscthe agus taoisigh Mhóáb go léir ina thimpeall. Chuir Bálác ceist air: “Cad dúirt an Tiarna?”

17 Und da er wieder zu ihm kam, siehe, da stand er bei seinem Brandopfer samt den Fürsten der Moabiter. Und Balak sprach zu ihm: Was hat der HERR gesagt?
18 And in the words which the Lord had given him he said, Up! Balak, and give ear; give attention to me, O son of Zippor:
18 Balaam prononça son oracle, et dit: Lève-toi, Balak, écoute! Prête-moi l'oreille, fils de Tsippor!
18 Ansin reac Balám a laoi agus dúirt: “Éirigh, a Bhálác, agus éist! Tabhair cluas dom, a mhic Zipeor.
18 Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; Escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zippor:
18 Und er hob an seinen Spruch und sprach: Stehe auf, Balak, und höre! nimm zu Ohren was ich sage, du Sohn Zippors!
19 God is not a man, to say what is false; or the son of man, that his purpose may be changed: what he has said, will he not do? and will he not give effect to the words of his mouth?
19 Dieu n'est point un homme pour mentir, Ni fils d'un homme pour se repentir. Ce qu'il a dit, ne le fera-t-il pas? Ce qu'il a déclaré, ne l'exécutera-t il pas?
19 Ní duine é Dia go n‑inseodh sé bréag, ná ní mac le hÁdhamh é go dtiocfadh ar mhalairt aigne. An dual dó ‘sea’ a rá, gan an beart a dhéanamh, a bhriathar a thabhairt, ach gan é a chomhlíonadh?
19 Dios no es hombre, para que mienta; Ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta: El dijo, ¿y no hará?; Habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará?
19 Gott ist nicht ein Mensch, daß er lüge, noch ein Menschenkind, daß ihn etwas gereue. Sollte er etwas sagen und nicht tun? Sollte er etwas reden und nicht halten?
20 See, I have had orders to give blessing: and he has given a blessing which I have no power to take away.
20 Voici, j'ai reçu l'ordre de bénir: Il a béni, je ne le révoquerai point.
20 Seo mise le hordú orm beannacht a thabhairt; beannacht a thabharfaidh [mé] agus ní dhéanfaidh mé a chur ar ceal.
20 He aquí, yo he tomado bendición: Y él bendijo, y no podré revocarla.
20 Siehe, zu segnen bin ich hergebracht; er segnet, und ich kann's nicht wenden.
21 He has seen no evil in Jacob or wrongdoing in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the glad cry of a king is among them.
21 Il n'aperçoit point d'iniquité en Jacob, Il ne voit point d'injustice en Israël; L'Éternel, son Dieu, est avec lui, Il est son roi, l'objet de son allégresse.
21 Ní fhaca mé urchóid in Iacób. Níor luigh mé súil ar chruatan in Iosrael. Tá an Tiarna a nDia faru,
21 No ha notado iniquidad en Jacob, Ni ha visto perversidad en Israel: Jehová su Dios es con él, Y júbilo de rey en él.
21 Man sieht keine Mühe in Jakob und keine Arbeit in Israel. Der HERR, sein Gott, ist bei ihm und das Drommeten des Königs unter ihm.
22 It is God who has taken them out of Egypt; his horns are like those of the mountain ox.
22 Dieu les a fait sortir d'Égypte, Il est pour eux comme la vigueur du buffle.
22 Tugann Dia as an Éigipt amach iad; is cuma dóibh é nó adharca cama dhamh díleann.
22 Dios los ha sacado de Egipto; Tiene fuerzas como de unicornio.
22 Gott hat sie aus Ägypten geführt; seine Freudigkeit ist wie eines Einhorns.
23 No evil power has effect against Jacob, no secret arts against Israel; at the right time it will be said of Jacob and of Israel, See what God has done!
23 L'enchantement ne peut rien contre Jacob, Ni la divination contre Israël; Au temps marqué, il sera dit à Jacob et à Israël: Quelle est l'oeuvre de Dieu.
23 Níl briocht in Iacób; ná tuar asarlaíochta in Iosrael. Fág go ndeir daoine le Iacób, agus go ndeir siad le hIosrael: ‘Cén t‑iontas a rinne Dia?’
23 Porque en Jacob no hay agüero, Ni adivinación en Israel: Como ahora, será dicho de Jacob y de Israel: ¡Lo que ha hecho Dios!
23 Denn es ist kein Zauberer in Jakob und kein Wahrsager in Israel. Zu seiner Zeit wird Jakob gesagt und Israel, was Gott tut.
24 See, Israel comes up like a she-lion, lifting himself up like a lion: he will take no rest till he has made a meal of those he has overcome, drinking the blood of those he has put to death.
24 C'est un peuple qui se lève comme une lionne, Et qui se dresse comme un lion; Il ne se couche point jusqu'à ce qu'il ait dévoré la proie, Et qu'il ait bu le sang des blessés.
24 seo pobal, amhail banleon ag éirí, ar tinneall mar leon ar tí léim, agus nach luíonn go n‑alpann a chreach, agus go slogann fuil ar mharaigh sé.”
24 He aquí el pueblo, que como león se levantará, Y como león se erguirá: No se echará hasta que coma la presa, Y beba la sangre de los muertos.
24 Siehe, das Volk wird aufstehen, wie ein junger Löwe und wird sich erheben wie ein Löwe; es wird sich nicht legen, bis es den Raub fresse und das Blut der Erschlagenen saufe.
25 Then Balak said to Balaam, If you will not put a curse on them, at all events do not give them a blessing.
25 Balak dit à Balaam: Ne le maudis pas, mais du moins ne le bénis pas.
25 Dúirt Bálác le Balám: “Ná cuir mallacht orthu, más sea, ach ná cuir beannacht ach chomh beag.”
25 Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: Ya que no lo maldices, ni tampoco lo bendigas.
25 Da sprach Balak zu Bileam: Du sollst ihm weder fluchen noch es segnen.
26 But Balaam in answer said to Balak, Did I not say to you, I may only do what the Lord says?
26 Balaam répondit, et dit à Balak: Ne t'ai-je pas parlé ainsi: Je ferai tout ce que l'Éternel dira?
26 D'fhreagair Balám Bálác: “Ná dúirt mé leat, cibé rud a deir an Tiarna, go gcaithfidh mé rud a dhéanamh air?”
26 Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á Balac: ¿No te he dicho que todo lo que Jehová me dijere, aquello tengo de hacer?
26 Bileam antwortete und sprach zu Balak: Habe ich dir nicht gesagt, alles, was der HERR reden würde, das würde ich tun?
27 Then Balak said to Balaam, Come now, I will take you to another place; it may be that God will let you put a curse on them from there.
27 Balak dit à Balaam: Viens donc, je te mènerai dans un autre lieu; peut être Dieu trouvera-t-il bon que de là tu me maudisses ce peuple.
27 “Téanam más ea,” arsa Bálác le Balám, “béarfaidh mé go láthair eile thú. B'fhéidir gur toil le Dia iad a mhallú ón áit sin.”
27 Y dijo Balac á Balaam: Ruégote que vengas, te llevaré á otro lugar; por ventura parecerá bien á Dios que desde allí me lo maldigas.
27 Balak sprach zu ihm: Komm doch, ich will dich an einen Ort führen, ob's vielleicht Gott gefalle, daß du daselbst mir sie verfluchst.
28 So Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, looking down over the waste land.
28 Balak mena Balaam sur le sommet du Peor, en regard du désert.
28 Rug Bálác Balám go barr Pheór atá go hard os cionn an fhásaigh.
28 Y Balac llevó á Balaam á la cumbre de Peor, que mira hacia Jesimón.
28 Und er führte ihn auf die Höhe des Berges Peor, welcher gegen die Wüste sieht.
29 And Balaam said to Balak, Make me seven altars here and get seven oxen and seven male sheep ready for me.
