1 Then the children of Israel, journeying on, put up their tents in the lowlands of Moab, on the other side of Jordan at Jericho.
1 Les enfants d'Israël partirent, et ils campèrent dans les plaines de Moab, au delà du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho.
1 Ansin chuir clann Iosrael chun siúil agus shuíodar a gcampa i machairí Mhóáb, lastall den Iordáin, os comhair Ireachó.
1 Y Movieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron en los campos de Moab, de esta parte del Jordán de Jericó.
1 Darnach zogen die Kinder Israel und lagerten sich in das Gefilde Moab jenseit des Jordans, gegenüber Jericho.
2 Now Balak, the son of Zippor, saw what Israel had done to the Amorites.
2 Balak, fils de Tsippor, vit tout ce qu'Israël avait fait aux Amoréens.
2 Chonaic Bálác mac Zipeor gach a raibh déanta ag Iosrael leis na hAmóraigh.
2 Y vió Balac, hijo de Zippor, todo lo que Israel había hecho al Amorrheo.
2 Und Balak, der Sohn Zippors, sah alles, was Israel getan hatte den Amoritern;
3 And in Moab there was great fear of the people, because their numbers were so great: and the feeling of Moab was bitter against the children of Israel.
3 Et Moab fut très effrayé en face d'un peuple aussi nombreux, il fut saisi de terreur en face des enfants d'Israël.
3 Agus tháinig scéin ar Mhóáb roimh an bpobal seo ar a líonmhaire; bhí eagla ar Mhóáb roimh chlann Iosrael.
3 Y Moab temió mucho á causa del pueblo que era mucho; y angustióse Moab á causa de los hijos de Israel.
3 und die Moabiter fürchteten sich sehr vor dem Volk, das so groß war, und den Moabitern graute vor den Kindern Israel;
4 Then Moab said to the responsible men of Midian, It is clear that this great people will be the destruction of everything round us, making a meal of us as the ox does of the grass of the field. At that time Balak, the son of Zippor, was king of Moab.
4 Moab dit aux anciens de Madian: Cette multitude va dévorer tout ce qui nous entoure, comme le boeuf broute la verdure des champs. Balak, fils de Tsippor, était alors roi de Moab.
4 Dúirt sé le seanóirí Mhidián: “Seo an mathshlua seo ag crinneadh gach ní inár dtimpeall mar a chrinnfeadh damh féar na mbánta.” Ba é Bálác mac Zipeor rí Mhóáb an t‑am sin.
4 Y dijo Moab á los ancianos de Madián: Ahora lamerá esta gente todos nuestros contornos, como lame el buey la grama del campo. Y Balac, hijo de Zippor, era entonces rey de Moab.
4 und sie sprachen zu den Ältesten der Midianiter: Nun wird dieser Haufe auffressen, was um uns ist, wie ein Ochse Kraut auf dem Felde auffrißt. Balak aber, der Sohn Zippors, war zu der Zeit König der Moabiter.
5 So he sent men to Balaam, son of Beor, at Pethor by the River in the land of the children of his people, saying to him, See, a people has come out of Egypt, covering all the face of the earth, and they have put up their tents opposite to me:
5 Il envoya des messagers auprès de Balaam, fils de Beor, à Pethor sur le fleuve, dans le pays des fils de son peuple, afin de l'appeler et de lui dire: Voici, un peuple est sorti d'Égypte, il couvre la surface de la terre, et il habite vis-à-vis de moi.
5 Sheol sé teachtairí ag gairm Balám mac Bheór, i bPatór ar an Abhainn, i dtír chlann Amau, á rá: “Féach tá an dream seo tagtha as an Éigipt agus tá lámh tugtha acu thar chlár na talún; tá curtha fúthu acu ar mo thairseach.
5 Por tanto envió mensajeros á Balaam hijo de Beor, á Pethor, que está junto al río en la tierra de los hijos de su pueblo, para que lo llamasen, diciendo: Un pueblo ha salido de Egipto, y he aquí cubre la haz de la tierra, y habita delante de mí:
5 Und er sandte Boten aus zu Bileam, dem Sohn Beors, gen Pethor, der wohnte an dem Strom im Lande der Kinder seines Volks, daß sie ihn forderten, und ließ ihm sagen: Siehe, es ist ein Volk aus Ägypten gezogen, das bedeckt das Angesicht der Erde und liegt mir gegenüber.
6 Come now, in answer to my prayer, and put a curse on this people, for they are greater than I: and then I may be strong enough to overcome them and send them out of the land: for it is clear that good comes to him who has your blessing, but he on whom you put your curse is cursed.
6 Viens, je te prie, maudis-moi ce peuple, car il est plus puissant que moi; peut-être ainsi pourrai-je le battre et le chasserai-je du pays, car je sais que celui que tu bénis est béni, et que celui que tu maudis est maudit.
6 Tar, le do thoil, agus cuir mallacht ar an dream seo dom, mar tá siad róthréan dom. Ansin b'fhéidir go bhféadfainn an lámh in uachtar a fháil orthu agus iad a thiomáint as an tír. Óir is maith is eol dom gur beannaithe an té ar a gcuireann tú do bheannacht, agus gur mallaithe an té ar a gcuireann tú do mhallacht.”
6 Ven pues ahora, te ruego, maldíceme este pueblo, porque es más fuerte que yo: quizá podré yo herirlo, y echarlo de la tierra: que yo sé que el que tú bendijeres, será bendito, y el que tú maldijeres, será maldito.
6 So komm nun und verfluche mir das Volk (denn es ist mir zu mächtig), ob ich's schlagen möchte und aus dem Lande vertreiben; denn ich weiß, daß, welchen du segnest, der ist gesegnet, und welchen du verfluchst, der ist verflucht.
7 So the responsible men of Moab and Midian went away, taking in their hands rewards for the prophet; and they came to Balaam and said to him what Balak had given them orders to say.
7 Les anciens de Moab et les anciens de Madian partirent, ayant avec eux des présents pour le devin. Ils arrivèrent auprès de Balaam, et lui rapportèrent les paroles de Balak.
7 Chuir seanóirí Mhóáb agus seanoirí Mhidián chun siúil agus na sintiúis don asarlaíocht acu, agus thángadar go Balám agus thug dó teachtaireacht Bhálác.
7 Y fueron los ancianos de Moab, y los ancianos de Madián, con las dádivas de adivinación en su mano, y llegaron á Balaam, y le dijeron las palabras de Balac.
7 Und die Ältesten der Moabiter gingen hin mit den Ältesten der Midianiter und hatten den Lohn des Wahrsagers in ihren Händen und kamen zu Bileam und sagten ihm die Worte Balaks.
8 And he said to them, Take your rest here tonight, and I will give you an answer after hearing what the Lord says; so the chiefs of Moab kept there with Balaam that night.
8 Balaam leur dit: Passez ici la nuit, et je vous donnerai réponse, d'après ce que l'Éternel me dira. Et les chefs de Moab restèrent chez Balaam.
8 “Fanaigí anseo thar oíche,” ar sé leo, “agus tabharfaidh mé freagra ar ais chugaibh de réir mar a déarfaidh an Tiarna liom.” D'fhan prionsaí Mhóáb le Balám.
8 Y él les dijo: Reposad aquí esta noche, y yo os referiré las palabras, como Jehová me hablare. Así los príncipes de Moab se quedaron con Balaam.
8 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Bleibt hier über Nacht, so will ich euch wieder sagen, wie mir der HERR sagen wird. Also blieben die Fürsten der Moabiter bei Bileam.
9 And God came to Balaam and said, Who are these men with you?
9 Dieu vint à Balaam, et dit: Qui sont ces hommes que tu as chez toi?
9 Tháinig Dia go Balám agus dúirt: “Cé hiad na fir seo ag fanúint farat?”
9 Y vino Dios á Balaam, y díjole: ¿Qué varones son estos que están contigo?
9 Und Gott kam zu Bileam und sprach: Wer sind die Leute, die bei dir sind?
10 And Balaam said to God, Balak, the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent them to me, saying,
10 Balaam répondit à Dieu: Balak, fils de Tsippor, roi de Moab, les a envoyés pour me dire:
10 D'fhreagair Balám Dia: “Bálác mac Zipeor rí Mhóáb, chuir sé an teachtaireacht seo chugam:
10 Y Balaam respondió á Dios: Balac hijo de Zippor, rey de Moab, ha enviado á mí diciendo:
10 Bileam sprach zu Gott: Balak, der Sohn Zippors, der Moabiter König, hat zu mir gesandt:
11 See, the people who have come out of Egypt are covering all the earth: now, put a curse on this people for me, so that I may be able to make war on them, driving them out of the land.
11 Voici, un peuple est sorti d'Égypte, et il couvre la surface de la terre; viens donc, maudis-le; peut-être ainsi pourrai-je le combattre, et le chasserai-je.
11 ‘Féach tá an dream seo tagtha as an Éigipt agus tá lámh tugtha acu thar chlár na talún. Tar agus cuir do mhallacht orthu dom; ansin b'fhéidir go bhféadfainn cath a chur orthu agus iad a thiomáint amach.’ ”
11 He aquí este pueblo que ha salido de Egipto, cubre la haz de la tierra: ven pues ahora, y maldícemelo; quizá podré pelear con él, y echarlo.
11 Siehe, ein Volk ist aus Ägypten gezogen und bedeckt das Angesicht der Erde; so komm nun und fluche ihm, ob ich mit ihm streiten möge und sie vertreiben.
12 And God said to Balaam, You are not to go with them, or put a curse on this people, for they have my blessing.
12 Dieu dit à Balaam: Tu n'iras point avec eux; tu ne maudiras point ce peuple, car il est béni.
12 Dúirt Dia le Balám: “Ná téigh leo. Na cuir mallacht ar an muintir seo óir tá siad beannaithe.”
12 Entonces dijo Dios á Balaam: No vayas con ellos, ni maldigas al pueblo; porque es bendito.
12 Gott aber sprach zu Bileam: Gehe nicht mit ihnen, verfluche das Volk auch nicht; denn es ist gesegnet.
13 In the morning Balaam got up and said to the chiefs of Balak, Go back to your land, for the Lord will not let me go with you.
13 Balaam se leva le matin, et il dit aux chefs de Balak: Allez dans votre pays, car l'Éternel refuse de me laisser aller avec vous.
13 D'éirigh Balám lá arna mhárach agus dúirt leis na taoisigh a chuir Bálác chuige: “Téigí ar ais go dtí bhur dtír féin óir ní ligfeadh an Tiarna dom dul libh.”
13 Así Balaam se levantó por la mañana, y dijo á los príncipes de Balac: Volveos á vuestra tierra, porque Jehová no me quiere dejar ir con vosotros.
13 Da stand Bileam des Morgens auf und sprach zu den Fürsten Balaks: Gehet hin in euer Land; denn der HERR will's nicht gestatten, daß ich mit euch ziehe.
14 So the chiefs of Moab went back to Balak and said, Balaam will not come with us.
14 Et les princes de Moab se levèrent, retournèrent auprès de Balak, et dirent: Balaam a refusé de venir avec nous.
14 D'éirigh taoisigh Mhóáb dá bhrí sin agus d'fhilleadar go Bálác agus dúradar: “Ní toil le Balám teacht linn.”
14 Y los príncipes de Moab se levantaron, y vinieron á Balac, y dijeron: Balaam no quiso venir con nosotros.
14 Und die Fürsten der Moabiter machten sich auf, kamen zu Balak und sprachen: Bileam weigert sich, mit uns zu ziehen.
15 So Balak sent more chiefs, greater in number and of higher position than the others.
15 Balak envoya de nouveau des chefs en plus grand nombre et plus considérés que les précédents.
15 Sheol Bálác a thuilleadh prionsaí, níos líonmhaire agus níos céimiúla ná an chéad dream.
15 Y tornó Balac á enviar otra vez más príncipes, y más honorables que los otros.
15 Da sandte Balak noch größere und herrlichere Fürsten, denn jene waren.
16 And they came to Balaam and said, Balak, son of Zippor, says, Let nothing keep you from coming to me:
16 Ils arrivèrent auprès de Balaam, et lui dirent: Ainsi parle Balak, fils de Tsippor: Que l'on ne t'empêche donc pas de venir vers moi;
16 Thángadar go Balám agus dúradar leis: “Seo teachtaireacht ó Bhálác mac Zipeor: ‘Ná diúltaigh, impím ort, teacht chugam.
16 Los cuales vinieron á Balaam, y dijéronle: Así dice Balac, hijo de Zippor: Ruégote que no dejes de venir á mí:
16 Da die zu Bileam kamen, sprachen sie zu ihm: Also läßt dir sagen Balak, der Sohn Zippors: Wehre dich doch nicht, zu mir zu ziehen;
17 For I will give you a place of very great honour, and whatever you say to me I will do; so come, in answer to my prayer, and put a curse on this people.
17 car je te rendrai beaucoup d'honneurs, et je ferai tout ce que tu me diras; viens, je te prie, maudis-moi ce peuple.
17 Caithfidh mé onóracha leat agus déanfaidh mé cibé rud a déarfaidh tú liom. Tar agus cuir mallacht ar an muintir seo dom.’ ”
17 Porque sin duda te honraré mucho, y haré todo lo que me dijeres: ven pues ahora, maldíceme á este pueblo.
17 denn ich will dich hoch ehren, und was du mir sagst, das will ich tun; komm doch und fluche mir diesem Volk.
18 But Balaam, in answer; said to the servants of Balak, Even if Balak gave me his house full of silver and gold, it would not be possible for me to do anything more or less than the orders of the Lord my God.
18 Balaam répondit et dit aux serviteurs de Balak: Quand Balak me donnerait sa maison pleine d'argent et d'or, je ne pourrais faire aucune chose, ni petite ni grande, contre l'ordre de l'Éternel, mon Dieu.
18 Ach d'fhreagair Balám teachtaí Bhálác: “Dá dtabharfadh Bálác lán a thí d'ór agus d'airgead dom, ní fhéadfainn aithne an Tiarna mo Dhia a shárú in aon ní beag ná mór.
18 Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á los siervos de Balac: Aunque Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, no puedo traspasar la palabra de Jehová mi Dios, para hacer cosa chica ni grande.
18 Bileam antwortete und sprach zu den Dienern Balaks: Wenn mir Balak sein Haus voll Silber und Gold gäbe, so könnte ich doch nicht übertreten das Wort des HERRN, meines Gottes, Kleines oder Großes zu tun.
19 So take your rest here this night, till I have knowledge what more the Lord has to say to me.
19 Maintenant, je vous prie, restez ici cette nuit, et je saurai ce que l'Éternel me dira encore.
19 Ach fanaigí féin leis anseo thar oíche, le bhur dtoil, agus gheobhaidh mé amach cad eile atá ag an Tiarna le rá liom.”
19 Ruégoos por tanto ahora, que reposeis aquí esta noche, para que yo sepa que me vuelve á decir Jehová.
19 So bleibt doch nur hier auch ihr diese Nacht, daß ich erfahre, was der HERR weiter mit mir reden werde.
20 And that night God came to Balaam and said to him, If these men have come for you, go with them: but do only what I say to you.
20 Dieu vint à Balaam pendant la nuit, et lui dit: Puisque ces hommes sont venus pour t'appeler, lève-toi, va avec eux; mais tu feras ce que je te dirai.
20 Tháinig Dia go Balám i gcaitheamh na hoíche, agus dúirt leis: “Nár tháinig na fir seo ag glaoch ort? Éirigh agus téigh leo. Ach ná déan aon ní thar mar a déarfaidh mé leat.”
20 Y vino Dios á Balaam de noche, y díjole: Si vinieren á llamarte hombres, levántate y ve con ellos: empero harás lo que yo te dijere.
20 Da kam Gott des Nachts zu Bileam und sprach zu ihm: Sind die Männer gekommen, dich zu rufen, so mache dich auf und zieh mit ihnen; doch was ich dir sagen werde, das sollst du tun.
21 So in the morning Balaam got up and, making his ass ready, went with the chiefs of Moab.
21 Balaam se leva le matin, sella son ânesse, et partit avec les chefs de Moab.
21 D'éirigh Balám ar maidin agus chuir an diallait ar a láir asail agus chuir chun siúil le taoisigh Mhóáb.
21 Así Balaam se levantó por la mañana, y cinchó su asna, y fué con los príncipes de Moab.
21 Da stand Bileam des Morgens auf und sattelte seine Eselin und zog mit den Fürsten der Moabiter.
22 But God was moved to wrath because he went: and the angel of the Lord took up a position in the road to keep him from his purpose. Now he was seated on his ass, and his two servants were with him.
22 La colère de Dieu s'enflamma, parce qu'il était parti; et l'ange de l'Éternel se plaça sur le chemin, pour lui résister. Balaam était monté sur son ânesse, et ses deux serviteurs étaient avec lui.
22 Las fearg an Tiarna de bharr a imeachta, agus sheas aingeal sa tslí air ar an mbealach á bhac. Bhí sé ar muin a asail agus a bheirt shearbhónta in éineacht leis.
22 Y el furor de Dios se encendió porque él iba; y el ángel de Jehová se puso en el camino por adversario suyo. Iba, pues, él montado sobre su asna, y con él dos mozos suyos.
22 Aber der Zorn Gottes ergrimmte, daß er hinzog. Und der Engel des HERRN trat ihm in den Weg, daß er ihm widerstünde. Er aber ritt auf seiner Eselin, und zwei Knechte waren mit ihm.
23 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord waiting in the road with his sword in his hand; and turning from the road, the ass went into the field; and Balaam gave the ass blows, to get her back on to the road.
23 L'ânesse vit l'ange de l'Éternel qui se tenait sur le chemin, son épée nue dans la main; elle se détourna du chemin et alla dans les champs. Balaam frappa l'ânesse pour la ramener dans le chemin.
23 Chonaic an t‑asal aingeal an Tiarna ina sheasamh ar an mbóthar, agus claíomh nocht ina láimh, agus d'imigh an t‑asal i leataobh ón mbóthar agus seo leis trí na bánta. Ach bhuail Balám an t‑asal á chur ar ais ar an mbóthar.
23 Y el asna vió al ángel de Jehová, que estaba en el camino con su espada desnuda en su mano; y apartóse el asna del camino, é iba por el campo. Entonces hirió Balaam al asna para hacerla volver al camino.
23 Und die Eselin sah den Engel des HERRN im Wege stehen und ein bloßes Schwert in seiner Hand. Und die Eselin wich aus dem Wege und ging auf dem Felde; Bileam aber schlug sie, daß sie in den Weg sollte gehen.
24 Then the angel of the Lord took up his position in a narrow road through the vine-gardens, with a wall on this side and on that.
24 L'ange de l'Éternel se plaça dans un sentier entre les vignes; il y avait un mur de chaque côté.
24 Ansin sheas aingeal an Tiarna ar chosán cúng idir na fíniúna, le balla ar a dheis agus balla ar a chlé.
24 Mas el ángel de Jehová se puso en una senda de viñas que tenía pared de una parte y pared de otra.
24 Da trat der Engel des HERRN in den Pfad bei den Weinbergen, da auf beiden Seiten Wände waren.
25 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord, and went near the wall, crushing Balaam's foot against the wall; and he gave her more blows.
25 L'ânesse vit l'ange de l'Éternel; elle se serra contre le mur, et pressa le pied de Balaam contre le mur. Balaam la frappa de nouveau.
25 Chonaic an t‑asal aingeal an Tiarna agus dhruid sé le balla agus bhrúigh sé cos Bhalám i gcoinne an bhalla agus bhuail Balám arís é.
25 Y viendo el asna al ángel de Jehová, pegóse á la pared, y apretó contra la pared el pie de Balaam: y él volvió á herirla.
25 Und da die Eselin den Engel des HERRN sah, drängte sie sich an die Wand und klemmte Bileam den Fuß an der Wand; und er schlug sie noch mehr.
26 Then the angel of the Lord went further, stopping in a narrow place where there was no room for turning to the right or to the left.
26 L'ange de l'Éternel passa plus loin, et se plaça dans un lieu où il n'y avait point d'espace pour se détourner à droite ou à gauche.
26 Ar aghaidh le haingeal an Tiarna ansin agus sheas in áit a bhí chomh cúng nach raibh aon slí chun gabháil thart ar dheis ná ar chlé.
26 Y el ángel de Jehová pasó más allá, y púsose en una angostura, donde no había camino para apartarse ni á diestra ni á siniestra.
26 Da ging der Engel des HERRN weiter und trat an einen engen Ort, da kein Weg war zu weichen, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken.
27 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord and went down on the earth under Balaam; and full of wrath, Balaam gave her hard blows with his stick.
27 L'ânesse vit l'ange de l'Éternel, et elle s'abattit sous Balaam. La colère de Balaam s'enflamma, et il frappa l'ânesse avec un bâton.
27 Nuair a chonaic an t‑asal aingeal an Tiarna, luigh sé síos faoi Bhalám, agus tháinig racht feirge ar Bhalám agus bhuail sé é lena bhata.
27 Y viendo el asna al ángel de Jehová, echóse debajo de Balaam: y enojóse Balaam, é hirió al asna con el palo.
27 Und da die Eselin den Engel des HERRN sah, fiel sie auf ihre Knie unter Bileam. Da ergrimmte der Zorn Bileams, und er schlug die Eselin mit dem Stabe.
28 Then the Lord gave the ass the power of talking, and opening her mouth she said to Balaam, What have I done to you that you have given me blows these three times?
28 L'Éternel ouvrit la bouche de l'ânesse, et elle dit à Balaam: Que t'ai je fait, pour que tu m'aies frappée déjà trois fois?
28 Ansin d'oscail an Tiarna béal an asail agus dúirt sé le Balám: “Cad tá déanta agam ort, a rá is gur bhuail tú mé trí huaire mar seo?”
28 Entonces Jehová abrió la boca al asna, la cual dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué te he hecho, que me has herido estas tres veces?
28 Da tat der HERR der Eselin den Mund auf, und sie sprach zu Bileam: Was habe ich dir getan, daß du mich geschlagen hast nun dreimal?
29 And Balaam said to the ass, You have made me seem foolish: if only I had a sword in my hand I would put you to death.
29 Balaam répondit à l'ânesse: C'est parce que tu t'es moquée de moi; si j'avais une épée dans la main, je te tuerais à l'instant.
29 Dúirt Balám leis an asal: “Tá tú ag déanamh ceap magaidh díom! Nár bhreá liom claíomh a bheith agam i mo ghlaic, mar go mbeifeá marbh agam faoin am seo!”
29 Y Balaam respondió al asna: Porque te has burlado de mí: ¡ojalá tuviera espada en mi mano, que ahora te mataría!
29 Bileam sprach zur Eselin: Daß du mich höhnest! ach, daß ich jetzt ein Schwert in der Hand hätte, ich wollte dich erwürgen!
30 And the ass said to Balaam, Am I not your ass upon which you have gone all your life till this day? and have I ever done this to you before? And he said, No.
30 L'ânesse dit à Balaam: Ne suis-je pas ton ânesse, que tu as de tout temps montée jusqu'à ce jour? Ai-je l'habitude de te faire ainsi? Et il répondit: Non.
30 Dúirt an t‑asal le Balám: “Nach mise d'asal? Nach orm a rinne tú marcaíocht ó d'óige go dtí seo? I gcaitheamh an ama sin go léir ar theip mé riamh ort ag freastal ort?” “Ní dhearna tú,” ar sé.
30 Y el asna dijo á Balaam: ¿No soy yo tu asna? sobre mí has cabalgado desde que tú me tienes hasta este día; ¿he acostumbrado á hacerlo así contigo? Y él respondió: No.
30 Die Eselin sprach zu Bileam: Bin ich nicht deine Eselin, darauf du geritten bist zu deiner Zeit bis auf diesen Tag? Habe ich auch je gepflegt, dir also zu tun? Er sprach: Nein.
31 Then the Lord made Balaam's eyes open, and he saw the angel of the Lord in the way with his sword in his hand: and he went down on his face to the earth.
31 L'Éternel ouvrit les yeux de Balaam, et Balaam vit l'ange de l'Éternel qui se tenait sur le chemin, son épée nue dans la main; et il s'inclina, et se prosterna sur son visage.
31 Ansin d'oscail an Tiarna súile Bhalám. Chonaic sé aingeal an Tiarna ina sheasamh ar an mbóthar agus claíomh nocht ina láimh, agus chrom sé síos agus thit ar a bhéal agus ar a fhiacla.
31 Entonces Jehová abrió los ojos á Balaam, y vió al ángel de Jehová que estaba en el camino, y tenía su espada desnuda en su mano. Y Balaam hizo reverencia, é inclinóse sobre su rostro.
31 Da öffnete der HERR dem Bileam die Augen, daß er den Engel des HERRN sah im Wege stehen und ein bloßes Schwert in seiner Hand, und er neigte und bückte sich mit seinem Angesicht.
32 And the angel of the Lord said to him, Why have you given your ass blows these three times? See, I have come out against you to keep you back, because your purpose is not pleasing to me.
32 L'ange de l'Éternel lui dit: Pourquoi as-tu frappé ton ânesse déjà trois fois? Voici, je suis sorti pour te résister, car c'est un chemin de perdition qui est devant moi.
32 Dúirt aingeal an Tiarna leis: “Cad a b'áil leat ag bualadh d'asail trí huaire mar sin? Seo mise féin tagtha do do chosc mar is claon é do bhealach romham.
32 Y el ángel de Jehová le dijo: ¿Por qué has herido tu asna estas tres veces? he aquí yo he salido para contrarrestarte, porque tu camino es perverso delante de mí:
32 Und der Engel des HERRN sprach zu ihm: Warum hast du deine Eselin geschlagen nun dreimal? Siehe, ich bin ausgegangen, daß ich dir widerstehe; denn dein Weg ist vor mir verkehrt.
33 And the ass saw me, turning to one side from me three times: if she had not gone to one side, I would certainly have put you to death and kept her safe.
33 L'ânesse m'a vu, et elle s'est détournée devant moi déjà trois fois; si elle ne fût pas détournée de moi, je t'aurais même tué, et je lui aurais laissé la vie.
33 Chonaic an t‑asal mé agus chas i leataobh mar sin uaim trí huaire. Ba mhaith an mhaise duit gur chas sé i leataobh nó bheifeá marbh agam faoin am seo, fág go scaoilfinn a anam leis.”
33 El asna me ha visto, y hase apartado luego de delante de mí estas tres veces: y si de mí no se hubiera apartado, yo también ahora te mataría á ti, y á ella dejaría viva.
33 Und die Eselin hat mich gesehen und ist dreimal ausgewichen; sonst, wo sie nicht vor mir gewichen wäre, so wollte ich dich auch jetzt erwürgt und die Eselin lebendig erhalten haben.
34 And Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, I have done wrong, for I did not see that you were in the way against me: but now, if it is evil in your eyes, I will go back again.
34 Balaam dit à l'ange de l'Éternel: J'ai péché, car je ne savais pas que tu te fusses placé au-devant de moi sur le chemin; et maintenant, si tu me désapprouves, je m'en retournerai.
34 Ansin dúirt Balám le haingeal an Tiarna: “Rinne mé peaca. Ní raibh a fhios agam go raibh tú i do sheasamh sa tslí orm. Anois más ea, má tá tú i bhfearg liom, rachaidh mé ar ais.”
34 Entonces Balaam dijo al ángel de Jehová: He pecado, que no sabía que tú te ponías delante de mí en el camino: mas ahora, si te parece mal, yo me volveré.
34 Da sprach Bileam zu dem Engel des HERRN: Ich habe gesündigt; denn ich habe es nicht gewußt, daß du mir entgegenstandest im Wege. Und nun, so dir's nicht gefällt, will ich wieder umkehren.
35 And the angel of the Lord said to Balaam, Go with the men; but say only what I give you to say. Then Balaam went on with the chiefs of Balak.
35 L'ange de l'Éternel dit à Balaam: Va avec ces hommes; mais tu ne feras que répéter les paroles que je te dirai. Et Balaam alla avec les chefs de Balak.
35 D'fhreagair aingeal an Tiarna Balám: “Téigh in éineacht leis na fir seo, ach ná habair aon ní ach mar a déarfaidh mé leat.” D'imigh Balám ar aghaidh dá bhrí sin le taoisigh Bhálác.
35 Y el ángel de Jehová dijo á Balaam: Ve con esos hombres: empero la palabra que yo te dijere, esa hablarás. Así Balaam fué con los príncipes de Balac.
35 Der Engel des HERRN sprach zu ihm: Zieh hin mit den Männern; aber nichts anderes, denn was ich dir sagen werde, sollst du reden. Also zog Bileam mit den Fürsten Balaks.
36 Now Balak, hearing that Balaam had come, went to the chief town of Moab, on the edge of the Arnon, in the farthest part of the land, for the purpose of meeting him.
36 Balak apprit que Balaam arrivait, et il sortit à sa rencontre jusqu'à la ville de Moab qui est sur la limite de l'Arnon, à l'extrême frontière.
36 Nuair a chuala Bálác go raibh Balám tagtha, chuaigh sé amach ina choinne i dtreo Ár Mhóáb ag teorainn an Arnón, ar an imeall is sia ó bhaile den teorainn.
36 Y oyendo Balac que Balaam venía, salió á recibirlo á la ciudad de Moab, que está junto al término de Arnón, que es el cabo de los confines.
36 Da Balak hörte, daß Bileam kam, zog er aus ihm entgegen in die Stadt der Moabiter, die da liegt an der Grenze des Arnon, welcher ist an der äußersten Grenze,
37 And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not send to you, requesting you with all my heart to come to me? why did you not come? am I not able to give you a place of honour?
37 Balak dit à Balaam: N'ai-je pas envoyé auprès de toi pour t'appeler? Pourquoi n'es-tu pas venu vers moi? Ne puis-je donc pas te traiter avec honneur?
37 Dúirt Bálác le Balám: “Nár chuir mé teachtairí ag glaoch ort? Cén fáth nár tháinig tú chugam? An amhlaidh a mheas tú nach bhféadfainn, b'fhéidir, onóir a chaitheamh leat?”
37 Y Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿No envié yo á ti á llamarte? ¿por qué no has venido á mí? ¿no puedo yo honrarte?
37 und sprach zu ihm: Habe ich nicht zu dir gesandt und dich fordern lassen? Warum bist du denn nicht zu mir gekommen? Meinst du ich könnte dich nicht ehren?
38 Then Balaam said to Balak, Now I have come to you; but have I power to say anything? Only what God puts into my mouth may I say.
38 Balaam dit à Balak: Voici, je suis venu vers toi; maintenant, me sera-t-il permis de dire quoi que ce soit? Je dirai les paroles que Dieu mettra dans ma bouche.
38 D'fhreagair Balám Bálác: “Seo anseo anois agat mé! An bhfuil cead cainte ar bith agam leat anois? An focal a chuireann Dia i mo bhéal, sin é nach foláir dom a labhairt.”
38 Y Balaam respondió á Balac: He aquí yo he venido á ti: mas ¿podré ahora hablar alguna cosa? La palabra que Dios pusiere en mi boca, esa hablaré.
38 Bileam antwortete ihm: Siehe, ich bin gekommen zu dir; aber wie kann ich etwas anderes reden, als was mir Gott in den Mund gibt? Das muß ich reden.
39 And Balaam went with Balak to Kiriath-huzoth.
39 Balaam alla avec Balak, et ils arrivèrent à Kirjath Hutsoth.
39 D'imigh Balám ansin in éineacht le Bálác agus thángadar go Ciriat Huzót.
39 Y fué Balaam con Balac, y vinieron á la ciudad de Husoth.
39 Also zog Bileam mit Balak, und sie kamen in die Gassenstadt.
40 And Balak made offerings of oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam and the chiefs who were with him.
40 Balak sacrifia des boeufs et des brebis, et il en envoya à Balaam et aux chefs qui étaient avec lui.
40 Mharaigh Bálác eallach agus caoirigh, agus thug sé codanna do Bhalám agus do na taoisigh a bhí in éineacht leis.
40 Y Balac hizo matar bueyes y ovejas, y envió á Balaam, y á los príncipes que estaban con él.
40 Und Balak opferte Rinder und Schafe und sandte davon an Bileam und an die Fürsten, die bei ihm waren.
41 And in the morning Balak took Balaam up to the high places of Baal, and from there he was able to see the outer limits of the people.
41 Le matin, Balak prit Balaam, et le fit monter à Bamoth Baal, d'où Balaam vit une partie du peuple.
