1 And the children of Israel went on from the waste land of Sin, by stages as the Lord gave them orders, and put up their tents in Rephidim: and there was no drinking-water for the people.
1 Toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël partit du désert de Sin, selon les marches que l'Éternel leur avait ordonnées; et ils campèrent à Rephidim, où le peuple ne trouva point d'eau à boire.
1 Bhog comhthionól uile chlann Iosrael leo ar aghaidh óna gcampa i bhfásach Shín, céim ar chéim de réir mar d'ordaigh an Tiarna; shuíodar a gcampa i Reifídím, áit nach raibh aon uisce le hól ag an bpobal.
1 Y Toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel partió del desierto de Sin, por sus jornadas, al mandamiento de Jehová, y asentaron el campo en Rephidim: y no había agua para que el pueblo bebiese.
1 Und die ganze Gemeinde der Kinder Israel zog aus der Wüste Sin ihre Tagereisen, wie ihnen der HERR befahl, und sie lagerten sich in Raphidim. Da hatte das Volk kein Wasser zu trinken.
2 So the people were angry with Moses, and said, Give us water for drinking. And Moses said, Why are you angry with me? and why do you put God to the test?
2 Alors le peuple chercha querelle à Moïse. Ils dirent: Donnez-nous de l'eau à boire. Moïse leur répondit: Pourquoi me cherchez-vous querelle? Pourquoi tentez-vous l'Éternel?
2 Agus chrom an pobal ar chasaoid le Maois: “Tabhair dúinn uisce le hól!” a deiridís. D'fhreagair Maois: “Cad a b'áil libh ag casaoid liom? Cad ab áil libh ag promhadh an Tiarna?”
2 Y altercó el pueblo con Moisés, y dijeron: Danos agua que bebamos. Y Moisés les dijo: ¿Por qué altercáis conmigo? ¿por qué tentáis á Jehová?
2 Und sie zankten mit Mose und sprachen: Gebt uns Wasser, daß wir trinken. Mose sprach zu ihnen: Was zankt ihr mit mir? Warum versucht ihr den HERRN?
3 And the people were in great need of water; and they made an outcry against Moses, and said, Why have you taken us out of Egypt to send death on us and our children and our cattle through need of water?
3 Le peuple était là, pressé par la soif, et murmurait contre Moïse. Il disait: Pourquoi nous as-tu fait monter hors d'Égypte, pour me faire mourir de soif avec mes enfants et mes troupeaux?
3 Ach bhí íota tarta ar an bpobal agus rinneadar monabhar in aghaidh Mhaois. “Cad chuige ar thug tú amach as an Éigipt sinn?” ar siad. “An d'fhonn go gcuirfeá sinn féin agus ár gclann agus ár stoc chun báis le tart?”
3 Así que el pueblo tuvo allí sed de agua, y murmuró contra Moisés, y dijo: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para matarnos de sed á nosotros, y á nuestros hijos y á nuestros ganados?
3 Da aber das Volk daselbst dürstete nach Wasser, murrten sie wider Mose und sprachen: Warum hast du uns lassen aus Ägypten ziehen, daß du uns, unsre Kinder und unser Vieh Durstes sterben ließest?
4 And Moses, crying out to the Lord, said, What am I to do to this people? they are almost ready to put me to death by stoning.
4 Moïse cria à l'Éternel, en disant: Que ferai-je à ce peuple? Encore un peu, et ils me lapideront.
4 Ghlaoigh Maois ar an Tiarna: “Cad a dhéanfaidh mé leis an bpobal seo? Is beag nach bhfuil siad ag gabháil de chlocha ionam.”
4 Entonces clamó Moisés á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Qué haré con este pueblo? de aquí á un poco me apedrearán.
4 Mose schrie zum HERRN und sprach: Wie soll ich mit dem Volk tun? Es fehlt nicht viel, sie werden mich noch steinigen.
5 And the Lord said to Moses, Go on before the people, and take some of the chiefs of Israel with you, and take in your hand the rod which was stretched out over the Nile, and go.
5 L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Passe devant le peuple, et prends avec toi des anciens d'Israël; prends aussi dans ta main ta verge avec laquelle tu as frappé le fleuve, et marche!
5 Agus dúirt an Tiarna le Maois: “Tabhair leat cuid de sheanóirí Iosrael agus téigh ar thosach an phobail. Beir i do láimh ar an tslat lenar bhuail tú an abhainn, agus seo leat.
5 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Pasa delante del pueblo, y toma contigo de los ancianos de Israel; y toma también en tu mano tu vara, con que heriste el río, y ve:
5 Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin vor dem Volk und nimm etliche Älteste von Israel mit dir und nimm deinen Stab in deine Hand, mit dem du den Strom schlugst, und gehe hin.
6 See, I will take my place before you on the rock in Horeb; and when you give the rock a blow, water will come out of it, and the people will have drink. And Moses did so before the eyes of the chiefs of Israel.
6 Voici, je me tiendrai devant toi sur le rocher d'Horeb; tu frapperas le rocher, et il en sortira de l'eau, et le peuple boira. Et Moïse fit ainsi, aux yeux des anciens d'Israël.
6 Féach! beidh mé i mo sheasamh ansiúd ar an gcarraig romhat [i Horaeb]. Buail an charraig agus snífidh uisce aisti le hól ag an bpobal.” Agus rinne Maois amhlaidh i láthair sheanóirí Iosrael.
6 He aquí que yo estoy delante de ti allí sobre la peña en Horeb; y herirás la peña, y saldrán de ella aguas, y beberá el pueblo. Y Moisés lo hizo así en presencia de los ancianos de Israel.
6 Siehe, ich will daselbst stehen vor dir auf einem Fels am Horeb; da sollst du den Fels schlagen, so wird Wasser herauslaufen, daß das Volk trinke. Mose tat also vor den Ältesten von Israel.
7 And he gave that place the name Massah and Meribah, because the children of Israel were angry, and because they put the Lord to the test, saying, Is the Lord with us or not?
7 Il donna à ce lieu le nom de Massa et Meriba, parce que les enfants d'Israël avaient contesté, et parce qu'ils avaient tenté l'Éternel, en disant: L'Éternel est-il au milieu de nous, ou n'y est-il pas?
7 Thug sé Masá agus Miríbeá ar an áit de bharr chasaoid chlann Iosrael agus go ndearnadar promhadh ar an Tiarna á rá: “An bhfuil an Tiarna farainn nó nach bhfuil?” I nGleic le hAmailéic
7 Y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Massah y Meribah, por la rencilla de los hijos de Israel, y porque tentaron á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Está, pues, Jehová entre nosotros, ó no?
7 Da hieß man den Ort Massa und Meriba um des Zanks willen der Kinder Israel, und daß sie den HERRN versucht und gesagt hatten: Ist der HERR unter uns oder nicht?
8 Then Amalek came and made war on Israel in Rephidim.
8 Amalek vint combattre Israël à Rephidim.
8 Ansin tháinig Amailéic agus d'ionsaigh sé Iosrael i Reifídím.
8 Y vino Amalec y peleó con Israel en Rephidim.
8 Da kam Amalek und stritt wider Israel in Raphidim.
9 And Moses said to Joshua, Get together a band of men for us and go out, make war on Amalek: tomorrow I will take my place on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.
9 Alors Moïse dit à Josué: Choisis-nous des hommes, sors, et combats Amalek; demain je me tiendrai sur le sommet de la colline, la verge de Dieu dans ma main.
9 Agus dúirt Maois le Iósua: “Togh buíon fear dúinn agus téigh amach chun troda le hAmailéic ar maidin amárach. Seasfaidh mise ar mhullach an chnoic agus slat Dé i mo láimh.”
9 Y dijo Moisés á Josué: Escógenos varones, y sal, pelea con Amalec: mañana yo estaré sobre la cumbre del collado, y la vara de Dios en mi mano.
9 Und Mose sprach zu Josua: Erwähle uns Männer, zieh aus und streite wider Amalek; morgen will ich auf des Hügels Spitze stehen und den Stab Gottes in meiner Hand haben.
10 So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and went to war with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
10 Josué fit ce que lui avait dit Moïse, pour combattre Amalek. Et Moïse, Aaron et Hur montèrent au sommet de la colline.
10 Rinne Iósua rud ar Mhaois agus throid le hAmailéic ach chuaigh Maois agus Árón agus Húr go mullach an chnoic.
10 E hizo Josué como le dijo Moisés, peleando con Amalec; y Moisés y Aarón y Hur subieron á la cumbre del collado.
10 Und Josua tat, wie Mose ihm sagte, daß er wider Amalek stritte. Mose aber und Aaron und Hur gingen auf die Spitze des Hügels.
11 Now while Moses' hand was lifted up, Israel was the stronger: but when he let his hand go down, Amalek became the stronger.
11 Lorsque Moïse élevait sa main, Israël était le plus fort; et lorsqu'il baissait sa main, Amalek était le plus fort.
11 Fad a choinnigh Maois a lámh in airde, bhí an lá le hIosrael, ach nuair a ligeadh sé anuas í, bhíodh le hAmailéic.
11 Y sucedía que cuando alzaba Moisés su mano, Israel prevalecía; mas cuando él bajaba su mano, prevalecía Amalec.
11 Und wenn Mose seine Hand emporhielt, siegte Israel; wenn er aber seine Hand niederließ, siegte Amalek.
12 But Moses' hands became tired; so they put a stone under him and he took his seat on it, Aaron and Hur supporting his hands, one on one side and one on the other; so his hands were kept up without falling till the sun went down.
12 Les mains de Moïse étant fatiguées, ils prirent une pierre qu'ils placèrent sous lui, et il s'assit dessus. Aaron et Hur soutenaient ses mains, l'un d'un côté, l'autre de l'autre; et ses mains restèrent fermes jusqu'au coucher du soleil.
12 Ach bhuail tuirse lámha Mhaois agus fuaireadar cloch agus chuireadar faoi í. Shuigh sé uirthi agus Árón agus Húr ag coinneáil a lámh in airde, duine ar gach taobh de, agus bhí a lámha gan cor astu go fuineadh gréine.
12 Y las manos de Moisés estaban pesadas; por lo que tomaron una piedra, y pusiéronla debajo de él, y se sentó sobre ella; y Aarón y Hur sustentaban sus manos, el uno de una parte y el otro de otra; así hubo en sus manos firmeza hasta que se puso el sol.
12 Aber die Hände Mose's wurden schwer; darum nahmen sie einen Stein und legten ihn unter ihn, daß er sich daraufsetzte. Aaron aber und Hur stützten ihm seine Hände, auf jeglicher Seite einer. Also blieben seine Hände fest, bis die Sonne unterging.
13 And Joshua overcame Amalek and his people with the sword.
13 Et Josué vainquit Amalek et son peuple, au tranchant de l'épée.
13 Threascair Iósua Amailéic agus a mhuintir chun láir le faobhar claímh.
13 Y Josué deshizo á Amalec y á su pueblo á filo de espada.
13 Und Josua dämpfte den Amalek und sein Volk durch des Schwertes Schärfe.
14 And the Lord said to Moses, Make a record of this in a book, so that it may be kept in memory, and say it again in the ears of Joshua: that all memory of Amalek is to be completely uprooted from the earth.
14 L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Écris cela dans le livre, pour que le souvenir s'en conserve, et déclare à Josué que j'effacerai la mémoire d'Amalek de dessous les cieux.
14 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Maois: “Scríobh an beart seo síos i leabhar lena chuimhne a choimeád agus aithris i gcomhchlos Iósua go scriosfaidh mé cuimhne Amailéic de dhroim na talún ar fad.”
14 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Escribe esto para memoria en un libro, y di á Josué que del todo tengo de raer la memoria de Amalec de debajo del cielo.
14 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Schreibe das zum Gedächtnis in ein Buch und befiehls's in die Ohren Josuas; denn ich will den Amalek unter dem Himmel austilgen, daß man sein nicht mehr gedenke.
15 Then Moses put up an altar and gave it the name of Yahweh-nissi:
15 Moïse bâtit un autel, et lui donna pour nom: l'Éternel ma bannière.
15 Ansin thóg Maois altóir agus thug sé An Tiarna Mo Bhratach uirthi, mar go ndúirt sé:
15 Y Moisés edificó un altar, y llamó su nombre Jehová-nissi;
15 Und Mose baute einen Altar und hieß ihn: Der HERR ist mein Panier.
16 For he said, The Lord has taken his oath that there will be war with Amalek from generation to generation.
16 Il dit: Parce que la main a été levée sur le trône de l'Éternel, il y aura guerre de l'Éternel contre Amalek, de génération en génération.
