1 And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh: for I have made his heart and the hearts of his servants hard, so that I may let my signs be seen among them:
1 L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Va vers Pharaon, car j'ai endurci son coeur et le coeur de ses serviteurs, pour faire éclater mes signes au milieu d'eux.
1 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Maois: “Isteach leat i láthair Fhorainn mar is mise a chruaigh a chroí agus croíthe a shearbhóntaí i dtreo go dtaispeánfainn na comharthaí seo liom ina measc:
1 Y Jehova dijo á Moisés: Entra á Faraón; porque yo he agravado su corazón, y el corazón de sus siervos, para dar entre ellos estas mis señales;
1 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Gehe hinein zu Pharao; denn ich habe sein und seiner Knechte Herz verhärtet, auf daß ich diese meine Zeichen unter ihnen tue,
2 And so that you may be able to give to your son and to your son's son the story of my wonders in Egypt, and the signs which I have done among them; so that you may see that I am the Lord.
2 C'est aussi pour que tu racontes à ton fils et au fils de ton fils comment j'ai traité les Égyptiens, et quels signes j'ai fait éclater au milieu d'eux. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel.

2 Y para que cuentes á tus hijos y á tus nietos las cosas que yo hice en Egipto, y mis señales que dí entre ellos; y para que sepáis que yo soy Jehová.
2 und daß du verkündigest vor den Ohren deiner Kinder und deiner Kindeskinder, was ich in Ägypten ausgerichtet habe und wie ich meine Zeichen unter ihnen getan habe, daß ihr wisset: Ich bin der HERR.
3 Then Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you be lifted up in your pride before me? let my people go so that they may give me worship.
3 Moïse et Aaron allèrent vers Pharaon, et lui dirent: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Jusqu'à quand refuseras-tu de t'humilier devant moi? Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'il me serve.
3 Chuaigh Maois agus Árón dá bhrí sin isteach go Forann agus dúradar leis: “Seo mar a deir an Tiarna, Dia na nEabhrach: ‘An fada eile a dhiúltóidh tú géilleadh dom? Lig do mo phobal imeacht agus íobairt a dhéanamh dom.
3 Entonces vinieron Moisés y Aarón á Faraón, y le dijeron: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos ha dicho así: ¿Hasta cuándo no querrás humillarte delante de mí? Deja ir á mi pueblo para que me sirvan.
3 Also gingen Mose und Aaron hinein zu Pharao und sprachen zu ihm: So spricht der HERR, der Hebräer Gott: Wie lange weigerst du dich, dich vor mir zu demütigen, daß du mein Volk lassest, mir zu dienen?
4 For if you will not let my people go, tomorrow I will send locusts into your land:
4 Si tu refuses de laisser aller mon peuple, voici, je ferai venir demain des sauterelles dans toute l'étendue de ton pays.
4 Óir má dhiúltaíonn tú ligean do mo phobal imeacht, féach seolfaidh mise lócaistí isteach i do chríocha amárach;
4 Y si aún rehusas dejarlo ir, he aquí que yo traeré mañana langosta en tus términos,
4 Weigerst du dich, mein Volk zu lassen, siehe, so will ich morgen Heuschrecken kommen lassen an allen Orten,
5 And the face of the earth will be covered with them, so that you will not be able to see the earth: and they will be the destruction of everything which up to now has not been damaged, everything which was not crushed by the ice-storm, and every tree still living in your fields.
5 Elles couvriront la surface de la terre, et l'on ne pourra plus voir la terre; elles dévoreront le reste de ce qui est échappé, ce que vous a laissé la grêle, elles dévoreront tous les arbres qui croissent dans vos champs;
5 agus clúdóidh siad aghaidh na talún i dtreo nach bhfaighidh aon duine radharc ar an talamh; alpfaidh siad a bhfuil fágtha agat tar éis an tsneachta agus alpfaidh siad gach crann leat dá bhfásann ar na bánta.
5 La cual cubrirá la faz de la tierra, de modo que no pueda verse la tierra; y ella comerá lo que quedó salvo, lo que os ha quedado del granizo; comerá asimismo todo árbol que os produce fruto en el campo:
5 daß sie das Land bedecken, also daß man das Land nicht sehen könne; und sie sollen fressen, was euch übrig und errettet ist vor dem Hagel, und sollen alle grünenden Bäume fressen auf dem Felde
6 And your houses will be full of them, and the houses of your servants and of all the Egyptians; it will be worse than anything your fathers have seen or their fathers, from the day when they were living on the earth till this day. And so he went out from Pharaoh.
6 elles rempliront tes maisons, les maisons de tous tes serviteurs et les maisons de tous les Égyptiens. Tes pères et les pères de tes pères n'auront rien vu de pareil depuis qu'ils existent sur la terre jusqu'à ce jour. Moïse se retira, et sortit de chez Pharaon.
6 Líonfaidh siad do thithe agus tithe do shearbhóntaí go léir agus tithe na nÉigipteach go léir; ní fhaca d'aithreacha ná do shinsir a leithéid ón gcéad lá a chuireadar fúthu sa tír.’ ” Ansin d'iompaigh sé ar a sháil agus amach leis ó Fhorann.
6 Y llenarse han tus casas, y las casas de todos tus siervos, y las casas de todos los Egipcios, cual nunca vieron tus padres ni tus abuelos, desde que ellos fueron sobre la tierra hasta hoy. Y volvióse, y salió de con Faraón.
6 und sollen erfüllen dein Haus, aller deiner Knechte Häuser und aller Ägypter Häuser, desgleichen nicht gesehen haben deine Väter und deiner Väter Väter, seitdem sie auf Erden gewesen bis auf diesen Tag. Und er wandte sich und ging von Pharao hinaus.
7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long is this man to be the cause of evil to us? let the men go so that they may give worship to the Lord their God: are you not awake to Egypt's danger?
7 Les serviteurs de Pharaon lui dirent: Jusqu'à quand cet homme sera-t-il pour nous un piège? Laisse aller ces gens, et qu'ils servent l'Éternel, leur Dieu. Ne vois-tu pas encore que l'Égypte périt?
7 Dúirt a shearbhóntaí le Forann ansin: “An fada a bheidh an fear seo ina chúis tranglaim againn? Lig don phobal imeacht go ndéanfaidh siad íobairt don Tiarna, a nDia. Nach bhfeiceann tú fós an íde atá imithe ar an Éigipt?”
7 Entonces los siervos de Faraón le dijeron: ¿Hasta cuándo nos ha de ser éste por lazo? Deja ir á estos hombres, para que sirvan á Jehová su Dios; ¿aun no sabes que Egipto está destruido?
7 Da sprachen die Knechte Pharaos zu ihm: Wie lange sollen wir mit diesem Manne geplagt sein? Laß die Leute ziehen, daß sie dem HERRN, ihrem Gott, dienen. Willst du zuvor erfahren daß Ägypten untergegangen sei?
8 Then Moses and Aaron came in again before Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go and give worship to the Lord your God: but which of you are going?
8 On fit revenir vers Pharaon Moïse et Aaron: Allez, leur dit-il, servez l'Éternel, votre Dieu. Qui sont ceux qui iront?
8 Tugadh Maois agus Árón ar ais go Forann dá bhrí sin agus dúirt sé leo: “Imígí, déanaigí íobairt don Tiarna, bhur nDia. Ach cé tá le himeacht?”
8 Y Moisés y Aarón volvieron á ser llamados á Faraón, el cual les dijo: Andad, servid á Jehová vuestro Dios. ¿Quién y quién son los que han de ir?
8 Mose und Aaron wurden wieder zu Pharao gebracht; der sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin und dienet dem HERRN, eurem Gott. Welche sind es aber, die hinziehen sollen?
9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and our old, with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds; for we are to keep a feast to the Lord.
9 Moïse répondit: Nous irons avec nos enfants et nos vieillards, avec nos fils et nos filles, avec nos brebis et nos boeufs; car c'est pour nous une fête en l'honneur de l'Éternel.
9 “Tabharfaimid linn ár n‑óga agus ár liatha,” arsa Maois. “Tabharfaimid linn ár gclann mhac agus iníonacha, ár dtréada agus ar dtáinte, mar sí féile an Tiarna againn í.”
9 Y Moisés respondió: Hemos de ir con nuestros niños y con nuestros viejos, con nuestros hijos y con nuestras hijas: con nuestras ovejas y con nuestras vacas hemos de ir; porque tenemos solemnidad de Jehová.
9 Mose sprach: Wir wollen hinziehen mit jung und alt, mit Söhnen und Töchtern, mit Schafen und Rindern; denn wir haben ein Fest des HERRN.
10 And he said to them, May the Lord be with you, if I will let you and your little ones go! take care, for your purpose clearly is evil.
10 Pharaon leur dit: Que l'Éternel soit avec vous, tout comme je vais vous laisser aller, vous et vos enfants! Prenez garde, car le malheur est devant vous!
10 “Bíodh an Tiarna faraibh go brách, má scaoilimse libh féin agus le bhur miondaoine,” arsa Forann leo. “Féach, tá drochfhuadar fúibh!
10 Y él les dijo: Así sea Jehová con vosotros como yo os dejaré ir á vosotros y á vuestros niños: mirad como el mal está delante de vuestro rostro.
10 Er sprach zu ihnen: O ja, der HERR sei mit euch! Sollte ich euch und eure Kinder dazu ziehen lassen? Sehet da, ob ihr nicht Böses vorhabt!
11 Not so; but let your males go and give worship to the Lord, as your desire is. This he said, driving them out from before him.
11 Non, non: allez, vous les hommes, et servez l'Éternel, car c'est là ce que vous avez demandé. Et on les chassa de la présence de Pharaon.
11 Ní mar sin a bheidh! Téadh na fir agaibh, agus déanaidís íobairt don Tiarna. Sin é atá uaibh.” Agus tiomáineadh ó láthair Fhorainn iad.
11 No será así: id ahora vosotros los varones, y servid á Jehová: pues esto es lo que vosotros demandasteis. Y echáronlos de delante de Faraón.
11 Nicht also, sondern ihr Männer ziehet hin und dienet dem HERRN; denn das habt ihr auch gesucht. Und man stieß sie heraus von Pharao.
12 And the Lord said to Moses, Let your hand be stretched out over the land of Egypt so that the locusts may come up on the land for the destruction of every green plant in the land, even everything untouched by the ice-storm.
12 L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Étends ta main sur le pays d'Égypte, et que les sauterelles montent sur le pays d'Égypte; qu'elles dévorent toute l'herbe de la terre, tout ce que la grêle a laissé.
12 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Maois: “Sín do lámh amach os cionn talamh na hÉigipte chun na lócaistí a thabhairt i dtreo go dtiocfaidh siad anuas ar thalamh na hÉigipte agus gach glasra ar an talamh, gach a d'fhág an clochshneachta, a alpadh.”
12 Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Extiende tu mano sobre la tierra de Egipto para langosta, á fin de que suba sobre el país de Egipto, y consuma todo lo que el granizo dejó.
12 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Recke deine Hand über Ägyptenland, daß Heuschrecken auf Ägyptenland kommen und fressen alles Kraut im Lande auf samt allem dem, was der Hagel übriggelassen hat.
13 And Moses' rod was stretched out over the land of Egypt, and the Lord sent an east wind over the land all that day and all the night; and in the morning the locusts came up with the east wind.
13 Moïse étendit sa verge sur le pays d'Égypte; et l'Éternel fit souffler un vent d'orient sur le pays toute cette journée et toute la nuit. Quand ce fut le matin, le vent d'orient avait apporté les sauterelles.
13 Shín Maois a shlat amach os cionn talamh na hÉigipte agus sheol an Tiarna gaoth anoir thar an talamh agus shéid sí an lá sin agus an oíche sin gan stad, agus leis an láchaint thug an ghaoth anoir na lócaistí.
13 Y extendió Moisés su vara sobre la tierra de Egipto, y Jehová trajo un viento oriental sobre el país todo aquel día y toda aquella noche; y á la mañana el viento oriental trajo la langosta:
13 Mose reckte seinen Stab über Ägyptenland; und der HERR trieb einen Ostwind ins Land den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht; und des Morgens führte der Ostwind die Heuschrecken her.
14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, resting on every part of the land, in very great numbers; such an army of locusts had never been seen before, and never will be again.
14 Les sauterelles montèrent sur le pays d'Égypte, et se posèrent dans toute l'étendue de l'Égypte; elles étaient en si grande quantité qu'il n'y avait jamais eu et qu'il n'y aura jamais rien de semblable.
14 Leath na lócaistí ar thalamh na hÉigipte go léir agus luíodar ina screamh chomh trom sin ar chríocha na hÉigipte go léir nach bhfacthas saithí chomh tiubh leo riamh roimhe sin, agus nach ndéanfar go deo arís!
14 Y subió la langosta sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, y asentóse en todos los términos de Egipto, en gran manera grave: antes de ella no hubo langosta semejante, ni después de ella vendrá otra tal;
14 Und sie kamen über das ganze Ägyptenland und ließen sich nieder an allen Orten in Ägypten, so sehr viel, daß zuvor desgleichen nie gewesen ist noch hinfort sein wird.
15 For all the face of the earth was covered with them, so that the land was black; and every green plant and all the fruit of the trees which was untouched by the ice-storm they took for food: not one green thing, no plant or tree, was to be seen in all the land of Egypt.
15 Elles couvrirent la surface de toute la terre, et la terre fut dans l'obscurité; elles dévorèrent toute l'herbe de la terre et tout le fruit des arbres, tout ce que la grêle avait laissé; et il ne resta aucune verdure aux arbres ni à l'herbe des champs, dans tout le pays d'Égypte.
15 Óir chlúdaíodar dromchla na talún ar fad i dtreo go raibh an talamh dubh leo; agus d'itheadar a raibh fágtha ag an gclochshneachta de ghlasraí san ithir agus de thorthaí ar na crainn; níor fhan aon ní glas, crann ná luibh sa bhán, ar fud chríocha na hÉigipte ar fad.
15 Y cubrió la faz de todo el país, y oscurecióse la tierra; y consumió toda la hierba de la tierra, y todo el fruto de los árboles que había dejado el granizo; que no quedó cosa verde en árboles ni en hierba del campo, por toda la tierra de Egipto.
15 Denn sie bedeckten das Land und verfinsterten es. Und sie fraßen alles Kraut im Lande auf und alle Früchte auf den Bäumen, die der Hagel übriggelassen hatte, und ließen nichts Grünes übrig an den Bäumen und am Kraut auf dem Felde in ganz Ägyptenland.
16 Then Pharaoh quickly sent for Moses and Aaron, and said, I have done evil against the Lord your God and against you.
16 Aussitôt Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et dit: J'ai péché contre l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et contre vous.
16 Chuir Forann fios le teann deabhaidh ar Mhaois agus ar Árón agus dúirt: “Pheacaigh mé in aghaidh an Tiarna, bhur nDia, agus in bhur n‑aghaidh féin.
16 Entonces Faraón hizo llamar apriesa á Moisés y á Aarón, y dijo: He pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios, y contra vosotros.
16 Da forderte Pharao eilend Mose und Aaron und sprach: Ich habe mich versündigt an dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und an euch;
17 Let me now have forgiveness for my sin this time only, and make prayer to the Lord your God that he will take away from me this death only.
17 Mais pardonne mon péché pour cette fois seulement; et priez l'Éternel, votre Dieu, afin qu'il éloigne de moi encore cette plaie mortelle.
17 Maithigí dom mo pheaca mar sin, den turas seo amháin, le bhur dtoil agus impígí ar an Tiarna, bhur nDia, an phlá bháis seo a chur díom.”
17 Mas ruego ahora que perdones mi pecado solamente esta vez, y que oréis á Jehová vuestro Dios que quite de mí solamente esta muerte.
17 vergebt mir meine Sünde nur noch diesmal und bittet den HERRN, euren Gott, daß er doch nur diesen Tod von mir wegnehme.
18 So he went out from Pharaoh and made prayer to the Lord.
18 Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon, et il pria l'Éternel.
18 Chuaigh Maois amach dá bhrí sin ó Fhorann agus ghuigh sé chun an Tiarna.
18 Y salió de con Faraón, y oró á Jehová.
18 Und er ging aus von Pharao und bat den HERRN.
19 And the Lord sent a very strong west wind, which took up the locusts, driving them into the Red Sea; not one locust was to be seen in any part of Egypt.
19 L'Éternel fit souffler un vent d'occident très fort, qui emporta les sauterelles, et les précipita dans la mer Rouge; il ne resta pas une seule sauterelle dans toute l'étendue de l'Égypte.
19 Ansin chuir an Tiarna casadh sa ghaoth sa tslí gur shéid sí chomh tréan sin ón iarthar gur sciob sí léi na lócaistí agus iad a bhreith léi go Muir na nGiolcach. Níor fágadh oiread agus lócaiste i dtír na hÉigipte ar fad.
19 Y Jehová volvió un viento occidental fortísimo, y quitó la langosta, y arrojóla en el mar Bermejo: ni una langosta quedó en todo el término de Egipto.
19 Da wendete der HERR den Wind, also daß er sehr stark aus Westen ging und hob die Heuschrecken auf und warf sie ins Schilfmeer, daß nicht eine übrigblieb an allen Orten Ägyptens.
20 But the Lord made Pharaoh's heart hard, and he did not let the children of Israel go.
20 L'Éternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et Pharaon ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël.
20 Ach chruaigh an Tiarna croí Fhorainn agus níor lig sé do chlann Iosrael imeacht. An Naoú Plá
20 Mas Jehová endureció el corazón de Faraón; y no envió los hijos de Israel.
20 Aber der HERR verstockte Pharaos Herz, daß er die Kinder Israel nicht ließ.
21 And the Lord said to Moses, Let your hand be stretched out to heaven, and all the land of Egypt will be dark, so that men will be feeling their way about in the dark.
21 L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Étends ta main vers le ciel, et qu'il y ait des ténèbres sur le pays d'Égypte, et que l'on puisse les toucher.
21 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna le Maois: “Sín amach do lámh i dtreo neimhe i dtreo go mbeidh dorchacht ar thalamh na hÉigipte, dorchacht a ba fhéidir a mhothú.”
21 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que haya tinieblas sobre la tierra de Egipto, tales que cualquiera las palpe.
21 Der HERR sprach zu Mose: Recke deine Hand gen Himmel, daß es so finster werde in Ägyptenland, daß man's greifen mag.
22 And when Moses' hand was stretched out, dark night came over all the land of Egypt for three days;
22 Moïse étendit sa main vers le ciel; et il y eut d'épaisses ténèbres dans tout le pays d'Égypte, pendant trois jours.
22 Agus shín Maois amach a lámh i dtreo neimhe agus b'sheo dorchacht thiubh ar thalamh na hÉigipte go léir ar feadh trí lá.
22 Y extendió Moisés su mano hacia el cielo, y hubo densas tinieblas tres días por toda la tierra de Egipto.
22 Und Mose reckte seine Hand gen Himmel; da ward eine dicke Finsternis in ganz Ägyptenland drei Tage,
23 They were not able to see one another, and no one got up from his place for three days: but where the children of Israel were living it was light.
23 On ne se voyait pas les uns les autres, et personne ne se leva de sa place pendant trois jours. Mais il y avait de la lumière dans les lieux où habitaient tous les enfants d'Israël.
23 Ní fhaca fear fear ná níor bhog duine óna stáitse ar feadh trí lá; ach bhí solas ag clann Iosrael mar a rabhadarsan.
23 Ninguno vió á su prójimo, ni nadie se levantó de su lugar en tres días; mas todos los hijos de Israel tenían luz en sus habitaciones.
23 daß niemand den andern sah noch aufstand von dem Ort, da er war, in drei Tagen. Aber bei allen Kindern Israel war es licht in ihren Wohnungen.
24 Then Pharaoh sent for Moses, and said, Go and give worship to the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be kept here: your little ones may go with you.
24 Pharaon appela Moïse, et dit: Allez, servez l'Éternel. Il n'y aura que vos brebis et vos boeufs qui resteront, et vos enfants pourront aller avec vous.
24 Chuir Forann fios ar Mhaois ansin agus dúirt: “Imígí agus déanaigí íobairt don Tiarna. Ní miste bhur miondaoine a dhul libh, ach caithfidh bhur dtréada agus bhur dtáinte fanacht anseo.”
24 Entonces Faraón hizo llamar á Moisés, y dijo: Id, servid á Jehová; solamente queden vuestras ovejas y vuestras vacas: vayan también vuestros niños con vosotros.
24 Da forderte Pharao Mose und sprach: Ziehet hin und dienet dem Herrn; allein eure Schafe und Rinder laßt hier; laßt auch eure Kindlein mit euch ziehen.
25 But Moses said, You will have to let us take burned offerings to put before the Lord our God.
25 Moïse répondit: Tu mettras toi-même entre nos mains de quoi faire les sacrifices et les holocaustes que nous offrirons à l'Éternel, notre Dieu.
25 D'fhreagair Maois: “Ní foláir duit sás íobairtí agus ofrálacha uileloiscthe don Tiarna ar nDia a ligean linn chomh maith.
25 Y Moisés respondió: Tú también nos entregarás sacrificios y holocaustos que sacrifiquemos á Jehová nuestro Dios.
25 Mose sprach: Du mußt uns auch Opfer und Brandopfer geben, die wir unserm Gott, dem HERRN, tun mögen.
26 So our cattle will have to go with us, not one may be kept back; for they are needed for the worship of the Lord our God; we have no knowledge what offering we have to give till we come to the place.
26 Nos troupeaux iront avec nous, et il ne restera pas un ongle; car c'est là que nous prendrons pour servir l'Éternel, notre Dieu; et jusqu'à ce que nous soyons arrivés, nous ne savons pas ce que nous choisirons pour offrir à l'Éternel.
26 Caithfidh ár stoc dul linn chomh maith; ní fhágfaimid crúb inár ndiaidh; mar ní foláir dúinn ár n‑ofrálacha don Tiarna ár nDia a dhéanamh astu, agus ní eol dúinn féin cén íobairt atá le déanamh againn don Tiarna go sroichfimid an áit.”
26 Nuestros ganados irán también con nosotros; no quedará ni una uña; porque de ellos hemos de tomar para servir á Jehová nuestro Dios; y no sabemos con qué hemos de servir á Jehová, hasta que lleguemos allá.
26 Unser Vieh soll mit uns gehen und nicht eine Klaue dahintenbleiben; denn wir wissen nicht, womit wir dem HERRN dienen sollen, bis wir dahin kommen.
27 But the Lord made Pharaoh's heart hard, and he would not let them go.
27 L'Éternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et Pharaon ne voulut point les laisser aller.
27 Ach chruaigh an Tiarna croí Fhorainn agus dhiúltaigh sé ligean dóibh imeacht.
27 Mas Jehová endureció el corazón de Faraón, y no quiso dejarlos ir.
27 Aber der HERR verstockte das Herz Pharao daß er sie nicht lassen wollte.
28 And Pharaoh said to him, Go away from me, take care that you come not again before me; for the day when you see my face again will be your last.
28 Pharaon dit à Moïse: Sors de chez moi! Garde-toi de paraître encore en ma présence, car le jour où tu paraîtras en ma présence, tu mourras.
