1 Then Isaac sent for Jacob, and blessing him, said, Do not take a wife from among the women of Canaan;
1 Isaac appela Jacob, le bénit, et lui donna cet ordre: Tu ne prendras pas une femme parmi les filles de Canaan.

1 Da rief Isaak seinen Sohn Jakob und segnete ihn und gebot ihm und sprach zu ihm: Nimm nicht ein Weib von den Töchtern Kanaans;
2 But go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel, your mother's father, and there get yourself a wife from the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother.
2 Lève-toi, va à Paddan Aram, à la maison de Bethuel, père de ta mère, et prends-y une femme d'entre les filles de Laban, frère de ta mère.
2 Imigh leat soir go Padan Arám go teach Bhatúél, athair do mháthar, agus tóg ón áit sin duine d'iníonacha Lábán, deartháir do mháthar, mar bhean duit féin.
2 Levántate, ve á Padan-aram, á casa de Bethuel, padre de tu madre, y toma allí mujer de las hijas de Labán, hermano de tu madre.
2 sondern mache dich auf und ziehe nach Mesopotamien zum Hause Bethuels, des Vaters deiner Mutter, und nimm dir ein Weib daselbst von den Töchtern Labans, des Bruders deiner Mutter.
3 And may God, the Ruler of all, give you his blessing, giving you fruit and increase, so that you may become an army of peoples.
3 Que le Dieu tout puissant te bénisse, te rende fécond et te multiplie, afin que tu deviennes une multitude de peuples!
3 Go mbeannaí Dia Uilechumhachtach thú agus go gcuire sé an rath ort agus sliocht iomadúil i dtreo go ndéana baicle ciníocha díot.
3 Y el Dios omnipotente te bendiga y te haga fructificar, y te multiplique, hasta venir á ser congregación de pueblos;
3 Aber der allmächtige Gott segne dich und mache dich fruchtbar und mehre dich, daß du werdest ein Haufe Völker,
4 And may God give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed, so that the land of your wanderings, which God gave to Abraham, may be your heritage.
4 Qu'il te donne la bénédiction d'Abraham, à toi et à ta postérité avec toi, afin que tu possèdes le pays où tu habites comme étranger, et qu'il a donné à Abraham!
4 Go gcuire sé beannacht Abrahám ort féin agus ar do shliocht i do theannta i dtreo go bhfaighidh tú seilbh ar an bhfearann ina bhfuil tú anois, fearann a thug sé d'Abrahám.”
4 Y te dé la bendición de Abraham, y á tu simiente contigo, para que heredes la tierra de tus peregrinaciones, que Dios dió á Abraham.
4 und gebe dir den Segen Abrahams, dir und deinem Samen mit dir, daß du besitzest das Land, darin du ein Fremdling bist, das Gott Abraham gegeben hat.
5 So Isaac sent Jacob away: and he went to Paddan-aram, to Laban, son of Bethuel the Aramaean, the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau.
5 Et Isaac fit partir Jacob, qui s'en alla à Paddan Aram, auprès de Laban, fils de Bethuel, l'Araméen, frère de Rebecca, mère de Jacob et d'Ésaü.
5 Chuir Íosác Iacób chun siúil agus d'imigh Iacób go Padan Arám, go Lábán mac Bhatúél an tArámach, deartháir Ribeacá, máthair Iacób agus Éasau. Pósann Éasau Arís
5 Así envió Isaac á Jacob, el cual fué á Padan-aram, á Labán, hijo de Bethuel Arameo, hermano de Rebeca, madre de Jacob y de Esaú.
5 Also fertigte Isaak den Jakob ab, daß er nach Mesopotamien zog zu Laban, Bethuels Sohn, in Syrien, dem Bruder Rebekkas, seiner und Esaus Mutter.
6 So when Esau saw that Isaac had given Jacob his blessing, and sent him away to Paddan-aram to get a wife for himself there, blessing him and saying to him, Do not take a wife from among the women of Canaan;
6 Ésaü vit qu'Isaac avait béni Jacob, et qu'il l'avait envoyé à Paddan Aram pour y prendre une femme, et qu'en le bénissant il lui avait donné cet ordre: Tu ne prendras pas une femme parmi les filles de Canaan.
6 Chonaic Éasau gur chuir Íosác a bheannacht ar Iacób agus gur sheol sé go Padan Arám é chun bean a fháil ann, agus á bheannú dó gur thug sé ordú: “Ná pós bean de mhná na gCanánach”;
6 Y vió Esaú cómo Isaac había bendecido á Jacob, y le había enviado á Padan-aram, para tomar para sí mujer de allí; y que cuando le bendijo, le había mandado, diciendo: No tomarás mujer de las hijas de Canaán;
6 Als nun Esau sah, daß Isaak Jakob gesegnet hatte und abgefertigt nach Mesopotamien, daß er daselbst ein Weib nähme, und daß er, indem er ihn segnete, ihm gebot und sprach: Du sollst nicht ein Weib nehmen von den Töchtern Kanaans,
7 And that Jacob had done as his father and mother said and had gone to Paddan-aram;
7 Il vit que Jacob avait obéi à son père et à sa mère, et qu'il était parti pour Paddan Aram.
7 agus gur ghéill Iacób dá athair agus dá mháthair agus go ndeachaigh sé go Padan Arám.
7 Y que Jacob había obedecido á su padre y á su madre, y se había ido á Padan-aram.
7 und daß Jakob seinem Vater und seiner Mutter gehorchte und nach Mesopotamien zog,
8 It was clear to Esau that his father had no love for the women of Canaan,
8 Ésaü comprit ainsi que les filles de Canaan déplaisaient à Isaac, son père.
8 Tuigeadh dó dá bhrí sin nár thaitin mná na gCanánach le hÍosác a athair,
8 Vió asimismo Esaú que las hijas de Canaán parecían mal á Isaac su padre;
8 sah auch, daß Isaak, sein Vater, nicht gerne sah die Töchter Kanaans:
9 So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath, the daughter of Abraham's son Ishmael, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had.
9 Et Ésaü s'en alla vers Ismaël. Il prit pour femme, outre les femmes qu'il avait, Mahalath, fille d'Ismaël, fils d'Abraham, et soeur de Nebajoth.
9 agus chuaigh sé go hÍsmeáél agus phós sé bean eile de bhreis ar na mná a bhí aige, Machalat iníon le hÍsmeáél mac Abrahám, deirfiúr Nabáiót. Taibhreamh Iacóib
9 Y fuése Esaú á Ismael, y tomó para sí por mujer á Mahaleth, hija de Ismael, hijo de Abraham, hermana de Nabaioth, además de sus otras mujeres.

10 So Jacob went out from Beer-sheba to go to Haran.

11 And coming to a certain place, he made it his resting-place for the night, for the sun had gone down; and he took one of the stones which were there, and putting it under his head he went to sleep in that place.
11 Il arriva dans un lieu où il passa la nuit; car le soleil était couché. Il y prit une pierre, dont il fit son chevet, et il se coucha dans ce lieu-là.
11 Tháinig sé go dtí áit áirithe agus chaith sé an oíche ann mar go raibh an ghrian imithe faoi. Thóg sé cloch de na clocha a bhí ansiúd agus chuir faoina cheann í agus luigh síos mar a raibh sé.
11 Y encontró con un lugar, y durmió allí porque ya el sol se había puesto: y tomó de las piedras de aquel paraje y puso á su cabecera, y acostóse en aquel lugar.
11 und kam an einen Ort, da blieb er über Nacht; denn die Sonne war untergegangen. Und er nahm einen Stein des Orts und legte ihn zu seinen Häupten und legte sich an dem Ort schlafen.
12 And he had a dream, and in his dream he saw steps stretching from earth to heaven, and the angels of God were going up and down on them.
12 Il eut un songe. Et voici, une échelle était appuyée sur la terre, et son sommet touchait au ciel. Et voici, les anges de Dieu montaient et descendaient par cette échelle.

12 Und ihm träumte; und siehe, eine Leiter stand auf der Erde, die rührte mit der Spitze an den Himmel, und siehe, die Engel Gottes stiegen daran auf und nieder;
13 And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which you are sleeping.
13 Et voici, l'Éternel se tenait au-dessus d'elle; et il dit: Je suis l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Abraham, ton père, et le Dieu d'Isaac. La terre sur laquelle tu es couché, je la donnerai à toi et à ta postérité.
13 Agus bhí an Tiarna ansiúd ina sheasamh os a chionn agus dúirt: “Mise an Tiarna, Dia Abrahám, d'athair, agus Dia Íosác. Tabharfaidh mé duitse agus do do shliocht an talamh ar a bhfuil tú i do luí.
13 Y he aquí, Jehová estaba en lo alto de ella, el cual dijo: Yo soy Jehová, el Dios de Abraham tu padre, y el Dios de Isaac: la tierra en que estás acostado te la daré á ti y á tu simiente.
13 und der HERR stand obendarauf und sprach: Ich bin der HERR, Abrahams, deines Vaters, Gott und Isaaks Gott; das Land darauf du liegst, will ich dir und deinem Samen geben.
14 Your seed will be like the dust of the earth, covering all the land to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south: you and your seed will be a name of blessing to all the families of the earth.
14 Ta postérité sera comme la poussière de la terre; tu t'étendras à l'occident et à l'orient, au septentrion et au midi; et toutes les familles de la terre seront bénies en toi et en ta postérité.
14 Beidh do shliocht mar luaithreach na talún, agus leathfaidh tú siar agus soir, ó thuaidh agus ó dheas; agus is tríotsa agus trí do shliocht a bheannóidh treibheanna uile an domhain iad féin.
14 Y será tu simiente como el polvo de la tierra, y te extenderás al occidente, y al oriente, y al aquilón, y al mediodía; y todas las familias de la tierra serán benditas en ti y en tu simiente.
14 Und dein Same soll werden wie der Staub auf Erden, und du sollst ausgebreitet werden gegen Abend, Morgen, Mitternacht und Mittag; und durch dich und deinen Samen sollen alle Geschlechter auf Erden gesegnet werden.
15 And truly, I will be with you, and will keep you wherever you go, guiding you back again to this land; and I will not give you up till I have done what I have said to you.
15 Voici, je suis avec toi, je te garderai partout où tu iras, et je te ramènerai dans ce pays; car je ne t'abandonnerai point, que je n'aie exécuté ce que je te dis.
15 Féach! táim taobh leat agus cosnóidh mé thú cibé áit a ngabhfaidh tú agus seolfaidh mé ar ais chun na tíre seo thú, mar ní scarfaidh mé leat nó go ndéanfaidh mé a bhfuil geallta agam duit.”
15 Y he aquí, yo soy contigo, y te guardaré por donde quiera que fueres, y te volveré á esta tierra; porque no te dejaré hasta tanto que haya hecho lo que te he dicho.
15 Und siehe, ich bin mit dir und will dich behüten, wo du hin ziehst, und will dich wieder herbringen in dies Land. Denn ich will dich nicht lassen, bis daß ich tue alles, was ich dir geredet habe.
16 And Jacob, awaking from his sleep, said, Truly, the Lord is in this place and I was not conscious of it.
16 Jacob s'éveilla de son sommeil et il dit: Certainement, l'Éternel est en ce lieu, et moi, je ne le savais pas!
16 Ansin dhúisigh Iacób as a chodladh agus dúirt: “Tá an Tiarna san áit seo, tá sin, agus ní raibh a fhios agam é.”
16 Y despertó Jacob de su sueño dijo: Ciertamente Jehové está en este lugar, y yo no lo sabía.
16 Da nun Jakob von seinem Schlaf aufwachte, sprach er: Gewiß ist der HERR an diesem Ort, und ich wußte es nicht;
17 And fear came on him, and he said, This is a holy place; this is nothing less than the house of God and the doorway of heaven.
17 Il eut peur, et dit: Que ce lieu est redoutable! C'est ici la maison de Dieu, c'est ici la porte des cieux!
17 Bhí eagla air agus dúirt: “Nach uaimhneach an áit é seo! Céard eile é seo ach teach Dé! Is é geata na bhflaitheas é.”
17 Y tuvo miedo, y dijo: ¡Cuán terrible es este lugar! No es otra cosa que casa de Dios, y puerta del cielo.
17 und fürchtete sich und sprach: Wie heilig ist diese Stätte! Hier ist nichts anderes als Gottes Haus, und hier ist die Pforte des Himmels.
18 And early in the morning Jacob took the stone which had been under his head, and put it up as a pillar and put oil on it.
18 Et Jacob se leva de bon matin; il prit la pierre dont il avait fait son chevet, il la dressa pour monument, et il versa de l'huile sur son sommet.
18 D'éirigh Iacób go moch ar maidin dá bhrí sin, agus thóg an chloch a bhí faoina cheann agus chuir ina seasamh í mar ghallán cuimhneacháin, agus dhoirt ola uirthi.
18 Y levantóse Jacob de mañana, y tomó la piedra que había puesto de cabecera, y alzóla por título, y derramó aceite encima de ella.
18 Und Jakob stand des Morgens früh auf und nahm den Stein, den er zu seinen Häupten gelegt hatte, und richtete ihn auf zu einem Mal und goß Öl obendarauf
19 And he gave that place the name of Beth-el, but before that time the town was named Luz.
19 Il donna à ce lieu le nom de Béthel; mais la ville s'appelait auparavant Luz.
19 Thug sé Béitéil mar ainm ar an áit; Lúz a bhí mar ainm ar an mbaile roimhe sin.
19 Y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Beth-el, bien que Luz era el nombre de la ciudad primero.
19 und hieß die Stätte Beth-El; zuvor aber hieß die Stadt Lus.
20 Then Jacob took an oath, and said, If God will be with me, and keep me safe on my journey, and give me food and clothing to put on,
20 Jacob fit un voeu, en disant: Si Dieu est avec moi et me garde pendant ce voyage que je fais, s'il me donne du pain à manger et des habits pour me vêtir,
20 Thug Iacób móid ansin á rá: “Má bhíonn Dia liom agus mé a choimeád slán ar an turas seo ar a dtriallaim, agus bia le hithe a thabhairt dom, agus éadach le caitheamh,
20 E hizo Jacob voto, diciendo: Si fuere Dios conmigo, y me guardare en este viaje que voy, y me diere pan para comer y vestido para vestir,
20 Und Jakob tat ein Gelübde und sprach: So Gott wird mit mir sein und mich behüten auf dem Wege, den ich reise, und mir Brot zu essen geben und Kleider anzuziehen
21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace, then I will take the Lord to be my God,
21 et si je retourne en paix à la maison de mon père, alors l'Éternel sera mon Dieu;
21 i dtreo go bhfillfidh mé slán folláin ar theach m'athar, ansin beidh an Tiarna ina Dhia agam,
21 Y si tornare en paz á casa de mi padre, Jehová será mi Dios,
21 und mich in Frieden wieder heim zu meinem Vater bringen, so soll der HERR mein Gott sein;
22 And this stone which I have put up for a pillar will be God's house: and of all you give me, I will give a tenth part to you.
22 cette pierre, que j'ai dressée pour monument, sera la maison de Dieu; et je te donnerai la dîme de tout ce que tu me donneras.
