1 Now after these things, God put Abraham to the test, and said to him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.
1 Après ces choses, Dieu mit Abraham à l'épreuve, et lui dit: Abraham! Et il répondit: Me voici!

1 Y Acontecio después de estas cosas, que tentó Dios á Abraham, y le dijo: Abraham. Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
1 Nach diesen Geschichten versuchte Gott Abraham und sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Und er antwortete: Hier bin ich.
2 And he said to him, Take your son, your dearly loved only son Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah and give him as a burned offering on one of the mountains of which I will give you knowledge.
2 Dieu dit: Prends ton fils, ton unique, celui que tu aimes, Isaac; va-t'en au pays de Morija, et là offre-le en holocauste sur l'une des montagnes que je te dirai.
2 “Tóg leat do mhac,” arsa Dia leis, “d'aonmhac Íosác ar a bhfuil do ghreann, agus imigh go tír Mhoiriá, agus déan é a íobairt ansiúd ina íobairt dhóite ar chnoc a thaispeánfaidh mé duit.”
2 Y dijo: Toma ahora tu hijo, tu único, Isaac, á quien amas, y vete á tierra de Moriah, y ofrécelo allí en holocausto sobre uno de los montes que yo te diré.
2 Und er sprach: Nimm Isaak, deinen einzigen Sohn, den du lieb hast, und gehe hin in das Land Morija und opfere ihn daselbst zum Brandopfer auf einem Berge, den ich dir sagen werde.
3 And Abraham got up early in the morning, and made ready his ass, and took with him two of his young men and Isaac, his son, and after the wood for the burned offering had been cut, he went on his way to the place of which God had given him word.
3 Abraham se leva de bon matin, sella son âne, et prit avec lui deux serviteurs et son fils Isaac. Il fendit du bois pour l'holocauste, et partit pour aller au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit.
3 D'éirigh Abrahám go moch ar maidin, chuir an diallait ar an asal, rug leis beirt dá shearbhóntaí agus a mhac Íosác. Ghearr sé an t‑adhmad don íobairt dhóite agus chuir chun bealaigh i dtreo na háite a dúirt Dia leis.
3 Y Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y enalbardó su asno, y tomó consigo dos mozos suyos, y á Isaac su hijo: y cortó leña para el holocausto, y levantóse, y fué al lugar que Dios le dijo.
3 Da stand Abraham des Morgens früh auf und gürtete seinen Esel und nahm mit sich zwei Knechte und seinen Sohn Isaak und spaltete Holz zum Brandopfer, machte sich auf und ging an den Ort, davon ihm Gott gesagt hatte.
4 And on the third day, Abraham, lifting up his eyes, saw the place a long way off.
4 Le troisième jour, Abraham, levant les yeux, vit le lieu de loin.
4 Ar an tríú lá thóg Abrahám a shúile agus chonaic sé an áit i bhfad uaidh.
4 Al tercer día alzó Abraham sus ojos, y vió el lugar de lejos.
4 Am dritten Tage hob Abraham seine Augen auf und sah die Stätte von ferne
5 Then he said to his young men, Keep here with the ass; and I and the boy will go on and give worship and come back again to you.
5 Et Abraham dit à ses serviteurs: Restez ici avec l'âne; moi et le jeune homme, nous irons jusque-là pour adorer, et nous reviendrons auprès de vous.
5 Ansin dúirt Abrahám lena shearbhóntaí: “Fanaigíse anseo leis an asal; rachaidh mise agus an gasúr ansiúd sall; déanfaimid adhradh agus ansin filleadh oraibh.”
5 Entonces dijo Abraham á sus mozos: Esperaos aquí con el asno, y yo y el muchacho iremos hasta allí, y adoraremos, y volveremos á vosotros.
5 und sprach zu seinen Knechten: Bleibt ihr hier mit dem Esel! Ich und der Knabe wollen dorthin gehen; und wenn wir angebetet haben, wollen wir wieder zu euch kommen.
6 And Abraham put the wood for the burned offering on his son's back, and he himself took the fire and the knife in his hand, and the two of them went on together.
6 Abraham prit le bois pour l'holocauste, le chargea sur son fils Isaac, et porta dans sa main le feu et le couteau. Et il marchèrent tous deux ensemble.
6 Thóg Abrahám adhmad na híobartha dóite, agus chuir ar muin a mhic Íosác é; agus rug leis ina láimh an tine agus an scian agus chuir siad araon chun siúil le chéile.
6 Y tomó Abraham la leña del holocausto, y púsola sobre Isaac su hijo: y él tomó en su mano el fuego y el cuchillo; y fueron ambos juntos.
6 Und Abraham nahm das Holz zum Brandopfer und legte es auf seinen Sohn Isaak; er aber nahm das Feuer und Messer in seine Hand, und gingen die beiden miteinander.
7 Then Isaac said to Abraham, My father; and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, We have wood and fire here, but where is the lamb for the burned offering?
7 Alors Isaac, parlant à Abraham, son père, dit: Mon père! Et il répondit: Me voici, mon fils! Isaac reprit: Voici le feu et le bois; mais où est l'agneau pour l'holocauste?
7 Dúirt Íosác lena athair Abrahám: “A dhaid,” ar sé. “Anseo dom!” arsa Abrahám. “Seo é an tine,” ar sé, “agus an t‑adhmad, ach cá bhfuil an t‑uan d'íobairt dhóite?”
7 Entonces habló Isaac á Abraham su padre, y dijo: Padre mío. Y él respondió: Heme aquí, mi hijo. Y él dijo: He aquí el fuego y la leña; mas ¿dónde está el cordero para el holocausto?
7 Da sprach Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham: Mein Vater! Abraham antwortete: Hier bin ich mein Sohn. Und er sprach: Siehe, hier ist Feuer und Holz; wo ist aber das Schaf zum Brandopfer?
8 And Abraham said, God himself will give the lamb for the burned offering: so they went on together.
8 Abraham répondit: Mon fils, Dieu se pourvoira lui-même de l'agneau pour l'holocauste. Et ils marchèrent tous deux ensemble.
8 D'fhreagair Abrahám: “Cuirfidh Dia féin an t‑uan ar fáil don íobairt dhóite,” agus ar aghaidh leo araon le chéile.
8 Y respondió Abraham: Dios se proveerá de cordero para el holocausto, hijo mío. E iban juntos.
8 Abraham antwortete: Mein Sohn, Gott wird sich ersehen ein Schaf zum Brandopfer. Und gingen beide miteinander.
9 And they came to the place of which God had given him knowledge; and there Abraham made the altar and put the wood in place on it, and having made tight the bands round Isaac his son, he put him on the wood on the altar.
9 Lorsqu'ils furent arrivés au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit, Abraham y éleva un autel, et rangea le bois. Il lia son fils Isaac, et le mit sur l'autel, par-dessus le bois.
9 Nuair a shroicheadar an áit a thaispeáin Dia dó, thóg Abrahám altóir ann agus chóirigh an t‑adhmad uirthi. Chuir sé ceangal faoina mhac agus leag ar an altóir é, anuas ar an adhmad.
9 Y como llegaron al lugar que Dios le había dicho, edificó allí Abraham un altar, y compuso la leña, y ató á Isaac su hijo, y púsole en el altar sobre la leña.
9 Und als sie kamen an die Stätte, die ihm Gott gesagt hatte, baute Abraham daselbst einen Altar und legte das Holz darauf und band seinen Sohn Isaak, legte ihn auf den Altar oben auf das Holz
10 And stretching out his hand, Abraham took the knife to put his son to death.
10 Puis Abraham étendit la main, et prit le couteau, pour égorger son fils.
10 Shín Abrahám a lámh amach, agus rug greim ar an scian chun a mhac a mharú.
10 Y extendió Abraham su mano, y tomó el cuchillo, para degollar á su hijo.
10 und reckte seine Hand aus und faßte das Messer, daß er seinen Sohn schlachtete.
11 But the voice of the angel of the Lord came from heaven, saying, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
11 Alors l'ange de l'Éternel l'appela des cieux, et dit: Abraham! Abraham! Et il répondit: Me voici!
11 Ach ghlaoigh aingeal an Tiarna air ó neamh agus dúirt: “A Abrahám, a Abrahám.” Dúirt sé: “Anseo dom.”
11 Entonces el ángel de Jehová le dió voces del cielo, y dijo: Abraham, Abraham. Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
11 Da rief ihm der Engel des HERRN vom Himmel und sprach: Abraham! Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.
12 And he said, Let not your hand be stretched out against the boy to do anything to him; for now I am certain that the fear of God is in your heart, because you have not kept back your son, your only son, from me.
12 L'ange dit: N'avance pas ta main sur l'enfant, et ne lui fais rien; car je sais maintenant que tu crains Dieu, et que tu ne m'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique.
12 Dúirt sé: “Ná leag lámh ar do mhac, agus ná déan aon dochar dó; óir tá a fhios agam anois go bhfuil eagla Dé ort, mar níor dhiúltaigh tú do mhac, d'aonmhac, dom.”
12 Y dijo: No extiendas tu mano sobre el muchacho, ni le hagas nada; que ya conozco que temes á Dios, pues que no me rehusaste tu hijo, tu único;
12 Er sprach: Lege deine Hand nicht an den Knaben und tue ihm nichts; denn nun weiß ich, daß du Gott fürchtest und hast deines einzigen Sohnes nicht verschont um meinetwillen.
13 And lifting up his eyes, Abraham saw a sheep fixed by its horns in the brushwood: and Abraham took the sheep and made a burned offering of it in place of his son.
13 Abraham leva les yeux, et vit derrière lui un bélier retenu dans un buisson par les cornes; et Abraham alla prendre le bélier, et l'offrit en holocauste à la place de son fils.
13 Ansin d'ardaigh Abrahám a shúile agus féach, laistiar de bhí reithe agus a adharca in achrann i dtor; thóg Abrahám an reithe agus d'ofráil é mar íobairt dhóite in áit a mhic.
13 Entonces alzó Abraham sus ojos, y miró, y he aquí un carnero á sus espaldas trabado en un zarzal por sus cuernos: y fué Abraham, y tomó el carnero, y ofrecióle en holocausto en lugar de su hijo.
13 Da hob Abraham sein Augen auf und sah einen Widder hinter sich in der Hecke mit seinen Hörnern hangen und ging hin und nahm den Widder und opferte ihn zum Brandopfer an seines Sohnes Statt.
14 And Abraham gave that place the name Yahweh-yireh: as it is said to this day, In the mountain the Lord is seen.
14 Abraham donna à ce lieu le nom de Jehova Jiré. C'est pourquoi l'on dit aujourd'hui: A la montagne de l'Éternel il sera pourvu.
14 Thug Abrahám “Soláthar ón Tiarna” ar an láthair sin, agus uime sin an seanfhocal atá againn inniu féin: “Déanann an Tiarna soláthar ar an sliabh.”
14 Y llamó Abraham el nombre de aquel lugar, Jehová proveerá. Por tanto se dice hoy: En el monte de Jehová será provisto.
14 Und Abraham hieß die Stätte: Der HERR sieht. Daher man noch heutigestages sagt: Auf dem Berge, da der HERR sieht.
15 And the voice of the angel of the Lord came to Abraham a second time from heaven,
15 L'ange de l'Éternel appela une seconde fois Abraham des cieux,
15 Agus ghlaoigh aingeal an Tiarna ar Abrahám athuair ó neamh:
15 Y llamó el ángel de Jehová á Abraham segunda vez desde el cielo,
15 Und der Engel des HERRN rief Abraham abermals vom Himmel
16 Saying, I have taken an oath by my name, says the Lord, because you have done this and have not kept back from me your dearly loved only son,
16 et dit: Je le jure par moi-même, parole de l'Éternel! parce que tu as fais cela, et que tu n'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique,
16 “Mhionnaigh mé dar mise féin - focail an Tiarna iad seo - ós rud é go ndearna tú an rud seo agus nár dhiúltaigh tú do mhac, d'aonmhac féin, dom,
16 Y dijo: Por mí mismo he jurado, dice Jehová, que por cuanto has hecho esto, y no me has rehusado tu hijo, tu único;
16 und sprach: Ich habe bei mir selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR, weil du solches getan hast und hast deines einzigen Sohnes nicht verschont,
17 That I will certainly give you my blessing, and your seed will be increased like the stars of heaven and the sand by the seaside; your seed will take the land of those who are against them;
17 je te bénirai et je multiplierai ta postérité, comme les étoiles du ciel et comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer; et ta postérité possédera la porte de ses ennemis.
17 dáilfidh mé na frasa beannachtaí uaim anuas ort. Cuirfidh mé an rath ar do shíol ionas go mbeidh siad líonmhar mar réaltaí neimhe nó mar ghaineamh na trá; agus beidh seilbh ag do shliocht ar gheataí [cathrach] do naimhde.
17 Bendiciendo te bendeciré, y multiplicando multiplicaré tu simiente como las estrellas del cielo, y como la arena que está á la orilla del mar; y tu simiente poseerá las puertas de sus enemigos:
17 daß ich deinen Samen segnen und mehren will wie die Sterne am Himmel und wie den Sand am Ufer des Meeres; und dein Same soll besitzen die Tore seiner Feinde;
18 And your seed will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth, because you have done what I gave you orders to do.
18 Toutes les nations de la terre seront bénies en ta postérité, parce que tu as obéi à ma voix.
18 Beannóidh ciníocha uile an domhain iad féin dar do shliocht mar gur ghéill tú do mo ghlór.”
18 En tu simiente serán benditas todas las gentes de la tierra, por cuanto obedeciste á mi voz.
18 und durch deinen Samen sollen alle Völker auf Erden gesegnet werden, darum daß du meiner Stimme gehorcht hast.
19 Then Abraham went back to his young men and they went together to Beer-sheba, the place where Abraham was living.
19 Abraham étant retourné vers ses serviteurs, ils se levèrent et s'en allèrent ensemble à Beer Schéba; car Abraham demeurait à Beer Schéba.
19 D'fhill Abrahám ansin ar a shearbhóntaí agus d'imíodar le chéile go Béar Seaba, agus chuir Abrahám faoi i mBéar Seaba. Sliocht Náchór
19 Y tornóse Abraham á sus mozos, y levantáronse y se fueron juntos á Beer-seba; y habitó Abraham en Beer-seba.
19 Also kehrte Abraham wieder zu seinen Knechten; und sie machten sich auf und zogen miteinander gen Beer-Seba; und er wohnte daselbst.
20 After these things, Abraham had news that Milcah, the wife of his brother Nahor, had given birth to children;
20 Après ces choses, on fit à Abraham un rapport, en disant: Voici, Milca a aussi enfanté des fils à Nachor, ton frère:
20 Tamall ina dhiaidh sin fuair Abrahám scéala gur rug Milceá chomh maith clann dá dheartháir Náchór.
20 Y aconteció después de estas cosas, que fué dada nueva á Abraham, diciendo: He aquí que también Milca ha parido hijos á Nachôr tu hermano:
20 Nach diesen Geschichten begab sich's, daß Abraham angesagt ward: Siehe, Milka hat auch Kinder geboren deinem Bruder Nahor,
21 Uz the oldest, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel, the father of Aram,
21 Uts, son premier-né, Buz, son frère, Kemuel, père d'Aram,
21 Úz a chéadghin, Búz a dheartháir, agus Camúél athair Arám, agus
21 A Huz su primogénito, y á Buz su hermano, y á Kemuel padre de Aram.
21 nämlich Uz, den Erstgeborenen, und Buz, seinen Bruder, und Kemuel, von dem die Syrer kommen,
22 And Chesed and Hazo and Pildash and Jidlaph and Bethuel.
22 Késed, Hazo, Pildasch, Jidlaph et Bethuel.
22 Ceisid agus Chazó agus Pioldáis agus Idleáf agus Batúél -
22 Y á Chêsed, y á Hazo, y á Pildas, y á Jidlaph, y á Bethuel.
22 und Chesed und Haso und Phildas und Jedlaph und Bethuel.
23 Bethuel was the father of Rebekah: these eight were the children of Milcah and Nahor, Abraham's brother.
23 Bethuel a engendré Rebecca. Ce sont là les huit fils que Milca a enfantés à Nachor, frère d'Abraham.
23 ba é Batúél athair Ribeacá. Sin iad an t‑ochtar clainne a rug Milceá do Náchór, deartháir Abrahám.
23 Y Bethuel engendró á Rebeca. Estos ocho parió Milca á Nachôr, hermano de Abraham.
23 Bethuel aber zeugte Rebekka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, Abrahams Bruder.
24 And his servant Reumah gave birth to Tebah and Gaham and Tahash and Maacah.
24 Sa concubine, nommée Réuma, a aussi enfanté Thébach, Gaham, Tahasch et Maaca.
