1 And the Lord came to Sarah as he had said and did to her as he had undertaken.

2 Und Sara ward schwanger und gebar Abraham einen Sohn in seinem Alter um die Zeit, von der ihm Gott geredet hatte.
3 And Abraham gave to his son, to whom Sarah had given birth, the name Isaac.
3 Abraham donna le nom d'Isaac au fils qui lui était né, que Sara lui avait enfanté.
3 Íosác an t‑ainm a thug Abrahám ar an mac a rugadh dó, an mac a rug Sárá dó.
3 Y llamó Abraham el nombre de su hijo que le nació, que le parió Sara, Isaac.
3 Und Abraham hieß seinen Sohn, der ihm geboren war, Isaak, den ihm Sara gebar,
4 And when his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham made him undergo circumcision, as God had said to him.

5 Now Abraham was a hundred years old when the birth of Isaac took place.
5 Abraham était âgé de cent ans, à la naissance d'Isaac, son fils.

6 And Sarah said, God has given me cause for laughing, and everyone who has news of it will be laughing with me.
6 Et Sara dit: Dieu m'a fait un sujet de rire; quiconque l'apprendra rira de moi.

7 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would have a child at her breast? for see, I have given him a son now when he is old.
7 Elle ajouta: Qui aurait dit à Abraham: Sara allaitera des enfants? Cependant je lui ai enfanté un fils dans sa vieillesse.
7 Lean sí uirthi: “Cé déarfadh le hAbrahám go dtabharfadh Sárá cíoch do chlann! Ach tá mac tugtha agam dó ina sheanaois.” Hágár agus Ísmeáél á gCur Chun Siúil
7 Y añadió: ¿Quién dijera á Abraham que Sara había de dar de mamar á hijos? pues que le he parido un hijo á su vejez.
7 und sprach: Wer durfte von Abraham sagen, daß Sara Kinder säuge? Denn ich habe ihm einen Sohn geboren in seinem Alter.
8 And when the child was old enough to be taken from the breast, Abraham made a great feast.
8 L'enfant grandit, et fut sevré; et Abraham fit un grand festin le jour où Isaac fut sevré.

9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian playing with Isaac.
9 Sara vit rire le fils qu'Agar, l'Égyptienne, avait enfanté à Abraham;
9 Bhí Sárá ag faire ar mhac Hágár, an tÉigipteach mná, an mac a rug sí d'Abrahám, ag súgradh [lena mac Íosác].
9 Y vió Sara al hijo de Agar la Egipcia, el cual había ésta parido á Abraham, que se burlaba.
9 Und Sara sah den Sohn Hagars, der Ägyptischen, den sie Abraham geboren hatte, daß er ein Spötter war,
10 So she said to Abraham, Send away that woman and her son: for the son of that woman is not to have a part in the heritage with my son Isaac.
10 et elle dit à Abraham: Chasse cette servante et son fils, car le fils de cette servante n'héritera pas avec mon fils, avec Isaac.
10 Dúirt sí le hAbrahám: “Tiomáin chun siúil an daoirseach seo agus a mac, óir ní bheidh mac na daoirsí i bpáirt chun na hoidhreachta le mo mhacsa Íosác.”
10 Por tanto dijo á Abraham: Echa á esta sierva y á su hijo; que el hijo de esta sierva no ha de heredar con mi hijo, con Isaac.
10 und sprach zu Abraham: Treibe diese Magd aus mit ihrem Sohn; denn dieser Magd Sohn soll nicht erben mit meinem Sohn Isaak.
11 And this was a great grief to Abraham because of his son.
11 Cette parole déplut fort aux yeux d'Abraham, à cause de son fils.

12 But God said, Let it not be a grief to you because of the boy and Hagar his mother; give ear to whatever Sarah says to you, because it is from Isaac that your seed will take its name.
12 Mais Dieu dit à Abraham: Que cela ne déplaise pas à tes yeux, à cause de l'enfant et de ta servante. Accorde à Sara tout ce qu'elle te demandera; car c'est d'Isaac que sortira une postérité qui te sera propre.
12 ach dúirt Dia leis: “Ná bíodh ceist an ógánaigh agus na daoirsí ag goilliúint ort; cibé rud a deir Sárá leat a dhéanamh, déan rud uirthi, mar is trí Íosác a mhairfidh d'ainm i do shíol.
12 Entonces dijo Dios á Abraham: No te parezca grave á causa del muchacho y de tu sierva; en todo lo que te dijere Sara, oye su voz, porque en Isaac te será llamada descendencia.
12 Aber Gott sprach zu ihm: Laß dir's nicht übel gefallen des Knaben und der Magd halben. Alles, was Sara dir gesagt hat, dem gehorche; denn in Isaak soll dir der Same genannt werden.
13 And I will make a nation of the son of your servant-woman, because he is your seed.
13 Je ferai aussi une nation du fils de ta servante; car il est ta postérité.
13 Ach déanfaidh mé cine de mhac na daoirsí mar an gcéanna mar gurb é do shíolsa é.”
13 Y también al hijo de la sierva pondré en gente, porque es tu simiente.
13 Auch will ich der Magd Sohn zum Volk machen, darum daß er deines Samens ist.
14 And early in the morning Abraham got up, and gave Hagar some bread and a water-skin, and put the boy on her back, and sent her away: and she went, wandering in the waste land of Beer-sheba.
14 Abraham se leva de bon matin; il prit du pain et une outre d'eau, qu'il donna à Agar et plaça sur son épaule; il lui remit aussi l'enfant, et la renvoya. Elle s'en alla, et s'égara dans le désert de Beer Schéba.
14 D'éirigh Abrahám go moch ar maidin dá bhrí sin agus fuair sé arán agus seithe uisce agus thug do Hágár iad; d'ardaigh sé an leanbh ar a gualainn agus chuir chun siúil í. D'imigh sí léi agus bhí ar seachrán ar fud fásaigh Bhéar Seaba.
14 Entonces Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y tomó pan, y un odre de agua, y diólo á Agar, poniéndolo sobre su hombro, y entrególe el muchacho, y despidióla. Y ella partió, y andaba errante por el desierto de Beer-seba.
14 Da stand Abraham des Morgens früh auf und nahm Brot und einen Schlauch mit Wasser und legte es Hagar auf ihre Schulter und den Knaben mit und ließ sie von sich. Da zog sie hin und ging in der Wüste irre bei Beer-Seba.
15 And when all the water in the skin was used up, she put the child down under a tree.
15 Quand l'eau de l'outre fut épuisée, elle laissa l'enfant sous un des arbrisseaux,
15 Nuair nach raibh braon uisce fagtha sa tseithe chuir sí an leanbh uaithi faoi thor.
15 Y faltó el agua del odre, y echó al muchacho debajo de un árbol;
15 Da nun das Wasser in dem Schlauch aus war, warf sie den Knaben unter einen Strauch
16 And she went some distance away, about an arrow flight, and seating herself on the earth, she gave way to bitter weeping, saying, Let me not see the death of my child.
16 et alla s'asseoir vis-à-vis, à une portée d'arc; car elle disait: Que je ne voie pas mourir mon enfant! Elle s'assit donc vis-à-vis de lui, éleva la voix et pleura.
16 Ansin d'imigh sí agus shuigh os a choinne sall tamall maith ó bhaile, timpeall raon saighde agus dúirt sí léi féin: “Ní fhéadfainn a bheith ag faire ar an leanbh ag fáil bháis.” Agus shuigh sí os a choinne sall agus bhí an leanbh ag gol go hard agus shil sé na deora.
16 Y fuése y sentóse enfrente, alejándose como un tiro de arco; porque decía: No veré cuando el muchacho morirá: y sentóse enfrente, y alzó su voz y lloró.
16 und ging hin und setzte sich gegenüber von fern, einen Bogenschuß weit; denn sie sprach: Ich kann nicht ansehen des Knaben Sterben. Und sie setzte sich gegenüber und hob ihre Stimme auf und weinte.
17 And the boy's cry came to the ears of God; and the angel of God said to Hagar from heaven, Hagar, why are you weeping? have no fear, for the child's cry has come to the ears of God.
17 Dieu entendit la voix de l'enfant; et l'ange de Dieu appela du ciel Agar, et lui dit: Qu'as-tu, Agar? Ne crains point, car Dieu a entendu la voix de l'enfant dans le lieu où il est.
17 Chuala Dia olagón an linbh agus ghlaoigh aingeal Dé ar Hágár ó neamh: “Cad tá ort, a Hágár?” a d'fhiafraigh sé; “ná bíodh eagla ort óir tá éiste ag Dia le glór an linbh ón áit ina bhfuil sé.
17 Y oyó Dios la voz del muchacho; y el ángel de Dios llamó á Agar desde el cielo, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, Agar? No temas; porque Dios ha oído la voz del muchacho en donde está.
17 Da erhörte Gott die Stimme des Knaben. Und der Engel Gottes rief vom Himmel der Hagar und sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir Hagar? Fürchte dich nicht; denn Gott hat erhört die Stimme des Knaben, da er liegt.
18 Come, take your child in your arms, for I will make of him a great nation.
18 Lève-toi, prends l'enfant, saisis-le de ta main; car je ferai de lui une grande nation.
18 Éirigh, tóg an leanbh agus coinnigh greim docht láimhe air, mar déanfaidh mé cine mor de.”
18 Levántate, alza al muchacho, y ásele de tu mano, porque en gran gente lo tengo de poner.
18 Steh auf, nimm den Knaben und führe ihn an deiner Hand; denn ich will ihn zum großen Volk machen.
19 Then God made her eyes open, and she saw a water-spring, and she got water in the skin and gave the boy a drink.
19 Et Dieu lui ouvrit les yeux, et elle vit un puits d'eau; elle alla remplir d'eau l'outre, et donna à boire à l'enfant.
19 Ansin d'oscail Dia súile Hágár agus chonaic sí tobar uisce, agus d'imigh agus líon an tseithe d'uisce agus thug deoch don leanbh.
19 Entonces abrió Dios sus ojos, y vió una fuente de agua; y fué, y llenó el odre de agua, y dió de beber al muchacho.
19 Und Gott tat ihr die Augen auf, daß sie einen Wasserbrunnen sah. Da ging sie hin und füllte den Schlauch mit Wasser und tränkte den Knaben.
20 And God was with the boy, and he became tall and strong, and he became a bowman, living in the waste land.
20 Dieu fut avec l'enfant, qui grandit, habita dans le désert, et devint tireur d'arc.
20 Agus bhí Dia leis an leanbh agus d'fhás sé agus chuir faoi san fhásach agus bhí sé oilte ar an tsaighead.
20 Y fué Dios con el muchacho; y creció, y habitó en el desierto, y fué tirador de arco.
20 Und Gott war mit dem Knaben; der wuchs und wohnte in der Wüste und ward ein guter Schütze.
21 And while he was in the waste land of Paran, his mother got him a wife from the land of Egypt.
21 Il habita dans le désert de Paran, et sa mère lui prit une femme du pays d'Égypte.
21 I bhfásach Párán a chuir sé faoi agus fuair a mháthair bean dó ó thír na hÉigipte. Tobar Bhéar Seaba
21 Y habitó en el desierto de Parán; y su madre le tomó mujer de la tierra de Egipto.
21 Und er wohnte in der Wüste Pharan, und seine Mutter nahm ihm ein Weib aus Ägyptenland.
22 Now at that time, Abimelech and Phicol, the captain of his army, said to Abraham, I see that God is with you in all you do.
22 En ce temps-là, Abimélec, accompagné de Picol, chef de son armée, parla ainsi à Abraham: Dieu est avec toi dans tout ce que tu fais.
22 Um an dtaca sin tháinig Aibímeilic agus Fíocol, a thaoiseach airm, agus dúirt le hAbrahám: “Bíonn Dia leat i ngach ní a dhéanann tú.
22 Y aconteció en aquel mismo tiempo que habló Abimelech, y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, á Abraham diciendo: Dios es contigo en todo cuanto haces.
22 Zu der Zeit redete Abimelech und Phichol, sein Feldhauptmann, mit Abraham und sprach: Gott ist mit dir in allem, das du tust.
23 Now, then, give me your oath, in the name of God, that you will not be false to me or to my sons after me, but that as I have been good to you, so you will be to me and to this land where you have been living.
23 Jure-moi maintenant ici, par le nom de Dieu, que tu ne tromperas ni moi, ni mes enfants, ni mes petits-enfants, et que tu auras pour moi et le pays où tu séjournes la même bienveillance que j'ai eue pour toi.
23 Mionnaigh dar Dia dá bhrí sin anseo domsa nach ndéanfaidh tú calaois ormsa ná ar mo chlann ná ar mo shliocht, ach ó bhios-sa cineálta leatsa go mbeidh tusa chomh cineálta céanna liomsa agus leis an bhfearann ina bhfuil tú le seal.” “Déanfad,” arsa Abrahám, “mionnaim sin duit.”
23 Ahora pues, júrame aquí por Dios, que no faltarás á mí, ni á mi hijo, ni á mi nieto; sino que conforme á la bondad que yo hice contigo, harás tú conmigo y con la tierra donde has peregrinado.
23 So schwöre mir nun bei Gott, daß du mir und meinen Kindern und meinen Enkeln keine Untreue erzeigen wollest, sondern die Barmherzigkeit, die ich an dir getan habe, an mir auch tust und an dem Lande, darin du ein Fremdling bist.
24 And Abraham said, I will give you my oath.
24 Abraham dit: Je le jurerai.
24 Agus rinne Abrahám gearán le hAibímeilic i dtaobh tobair a ghabh searbhóntaí Aibímeilic le láimh láidir.
24 Y respondió Abraham: Yo juraré.
24 Da sprach Abraham: Ich will schwören.
25 But Abraham made a protest to Abimelech because of a water-hole which Abimelech's servants had taken by force.
25 Mais Abraham fit des reproches à Abimélec, au sujet d'un puits d'eau, dont s'étaient emparés de force les serviteurs d'Abimélec.
25 “Ní eol dom,” arsa Aibímeilic, “cé rinne é seo.
25 Y Abraham reconvino á Abimelech á causa de un pozo de agua, que los siervos de Abimelech le habían quitado.
25 Und Abraham setzte Abimelech zur Rede um des Wasserbrunnens willen, den Abimelechs Knechte hatten mit Gewalt genommen.
26 But Abimelech said, I have no idea who has done this thing; you never gave me word of it, and I had no knowledge of it till this day.
26 Abimélec répondit: J'ignore qui a fait cette chose-là; tu ne m'en as point informé, et moi, je ne l'apprends qu'aujourd'hui.
26 Níor luaigh tú féin aon ní liom faoi, ná níor chuala mise focal faoi go dtí inniu.”
26 Y respondió Abimelech: No sé quién haya hecho esto, ni tampoco tú me lo hiciste saber, ni yo lo he oído hasta hoy.
26 Da antwortete Abimelech: Ich habe es nicht gewußt, wer das getan hat; auch hast du mir's nicht angesagt; dazu habe ich's nicht gehört bis heute.
27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two of them made an agreement together.
27 Et Abraham prit des brebis et des boeufs, qu'il donna à Abimélec; et ils firent tous deux alliance.
27 Thug Abrahám caoirigh agus eallach leis ansin agus bhronn ar Aibímeilic iad agus rinneadar conradh le chéile.
27 Y tomó Abraham ovejas y vacas, y dió á Abimelech; é hicieron ambos alianza.
27 Da nahm Abraham Schafe und Rinder und gab sie Abimelech; und sie machten beide einen Bund miteinander.
28 And Abraham put seven young lambs of the flock on one side by themselves.
28 Abraham mit à part sept jeunes brebis.
28 Chuir Abrahám seacht bhfóisc den tréad i leataobh.
28 Y puso Abraham siete corderas del rebaño aparte.
28 Und Abraham stellt sieben Lämmer besonders.
29 Then Abimelech said, What are these seven lambs which you have put on one side?
29 Et Abimélec dit à Abraham: Qu'est-ce que ces sept jeunes brebis, que tu as mises à part?
29 “Cad is ciall leis na seacht bhfóisc seo á gcur i leataobh agat?” a d'fhiafraigh Aibímeilic d'Abrahám.
29 Y dijo Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué significan esas siete corderas que has puesto aparte?
29 Da sprach Abimelech zu Abraham: Was sollen die sieben Lämmer, die du besonders gestellt hast?
30 And he said, Take these seven lambs from me as a witness that I have made this water-hole.
30 Il répondit: Tu accepteras de ma main ces sept brebis, afin que cela me serve de témoignage que j'ai creusé ce puits.
30 D'fhreagair seisean: “Ní foláir duit na seacht bhfóisc seo a ghlacadh ó mo láimh mar fhianaise gur mise a thochail an tobar seo.”
30 Y él respondió: Que estas siete corderas tomarás de mi mano, para que me sean en testimonio de que yo cavé este pozo.
30 Er antwortete: Sieben Lämmer sollst du von meiner Hand nehmen, daß sie mir zum Zeugnis seien, daß ich diesen Brunnen gegraben habe.
31 So he gave that place the name Beer-sheba, because there the two of them had given their oaths.
31 C'est pourquoi on appelle ce lieu Beer Schéba; car c'est là qu'ils jurèrent l'un et l'autre.
31 Uime sin a tugadh Béar Seaba [Tobar an Mhionna] ar an áit mar gur mhionnaíodar araon ann.
31 Por esto llamó á aquel lugar Beer-seba; porque allí juraron ambos.
31 Daher heißt die Stätte Beer-Seba, weil sie beide miteinander da geschworen haben.
32 So they made an agreement at Beer-sheba, and Abimelech and Phicol, the captain of his army, went back to the land of the Philistines.
32 Ils firent donc alliance à Beer Schéba. Après quoi, Abimélec se leva, avec Picol, chef de son armée; et ils retournèrent au pays des Philistins.
32 Nuair a bhí an conradh déanta acu i mBéar Seaba dá réir sin, chuir Aibímeilic agus Fíocol, an taoiseach airm, chun siúil agus d'fhilleadar ar thír na bhFilistíneach.
32 Así hicieron alianza en Beer-seba: y levantóse Abimelech y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, y se volvieron á tierra de los Filisteos.
32 Und also machten sie den Bund zu Beer-Seba. Da machten sich auf Abimelech und Phichol, sein Feldhauptmann, und zogen wieder in der Philister Land.
33 And Abraham, after planting a holy tree in Beer-sheba, gave worship to the name of the Lord, the Eternal God.
33 Abraham planta des tamariscs à Beer Schéba; et là il invoqua le nom de l'Éternel, Dieu de l'éternité.
33 Phlandaigh Abrahám crann tamaraisce i mBéar Seaba agus ghlaoigh ansiúd ar ainm an Tiarna, Dia síoraí.
33 Y plantó Abraham un bosque en Beer-seba, é invocó allí el nombre de Jehová Dios eterno.
33 Abraham aber pflanzte Bäume zu Beer-Seba und predigte daselbst von dem Namen des HERRN, des ewigen Gottes.
34 And Abraham went on living in the land of the Philistines as in a strange country.
34 Abraham séjourna longtemps dans le pays des Philistins.
