1 And Abraham went on his way from there to the land of the South, and was living between Kadesh and Shur, in Gerar.
1 Abraham partit de là pour la contrée du midi; il s'établit entre Kadès et Schur, et fit un séjour à Guérar.

1 De allí partió Abraham á la tierra del Mediodía, y asentó entre Cades y Shur, y habitó como forastero en Gerar.
1 Abraham aber zog von dannen ins Land gegen Mittag und wohnte zwischen Kades und Sur und ward ein Fremdling zu Gerar.
2 And Abraham said of Sarah, his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech, king of Gerar, sent and took Sarah.
2 Abraham disait de Sara, sa femme: C'est ma soeur. Abimélec, roi de Guérar, fit enlever Sara.
2 Is é a dúirt Abrahám faoina chéile Sárá: “Is í mo dheirfiúr í,” agus chuir Aibímeilic rí Ghearár fios ar Shárá agus ghabh chuige féin í.
2 Y dijo Abraham de Sara su mujer: Mi hermana es. Y Abimelech, rey de Gerar, envió y tomó á Sara.
2 Er sprach aber von seinem Weibe Sara: Es ist meine Schwester. Da sandte Abimelech, der König zu Gerar, nach ihr und ließ sie holen.
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream in the night, and said to him, Truly you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken; for she is a man's wife.
3 Alors Dieu apparut en songe à Abimélec pendant la nuit, et lui dit: Voici, tu vas mourir à cause de la femme que tu as enlevée, car elle a un mari.
3 Ach tháinig Dia i bhfís oíche chun Aibímeilic: “Tá an bás chugat,” ar sé leis, “de bharr na mná seo a ghabh tú chugat, mar tá fear céile aici.”
3 Empero Dios vino á Abimelech en sueños de noche, y le dijo: He aquí muerto eres á causa de la mujer que has tomado, la cual es casada con marido.
3 Aber Gott kam zu Abimelech des Nachts im Traum und sprach zu ihm: Siehe da, du bist des Todes um des Weibes willen, das du genommen hast; denn sie ist eines Mannes Eheweib.
4 Now Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, Lord, will you put to death an upright nation?
4 Abimélec, qui ne s'était point approché d'elle, répondit: Seigneur, ferais-tu périr même une nation juste?
4 Ach ní raibh aon chaidreamh fós ag Aibímeilic uirthi agus dúirt sé: “A Thiarna, an marófá an mhuintir atá gan chionta, chomh maith?
4 Mas Abimelech no había llegado á ella, y dijo: Señor, ¿matarás también la gente justa?
4 Abimelech aber hatte sie nicht berührt und sprach: HERR, willst du denn auch ein gerechtes Volk erwürgen?
5 Did he not say to me himself, She is my sister? and she herself said, He is my brother: with an upright heart and clean hands have I done this.
5 Ne m'a-t-il pas dit: C'est ma soeur? et elle-même n'a-t-elle pas dit: C'est mon frère? J'ai agi avec un coeur pur et avec des mains innocentes.
5 Nach ndúirt sé féin: ‘Is í mo dheirfiúr í’ agus dúirt sí féin: ‘Is é mo dheartháir é.’ Rinne mé é seo le hionracas croí agus le glaine lámh.”
5 ¿No me dijo él: Mi hermana es; y ella también dijo: Es mi hermano? Con sencillez de mi corazón, y con limpieza de mis manos he hecho esto.
5 Hat er nicht zu mir gesagt: Sie sei seine Schwester? Und sie hat auch gesagt: Er ist mein Bruder. Habe ich doch das getan mit einfältigem Herzen und unschuldigen Händen.
6 And God said to him in the dream, I see that you have done this with an upright heart, and I have kept you from sinning against me: for this reason I did not let you come near her.
6 Dieu lui dit en songe: Je sais que tu as agi avec un coeur pur; aussi t'ai-je empêché de pécher contre moi. C'est pourquoi je n'ai pas permis que tu la touchasse.
6 Ansin dúirt Dia leis san fhís: “Is fíor duit. Tá a fhios agam gur le hionracas croí a rinne tú é seo; agus is mise a choinnigh tú ó pheaca a dhéanamh i m'aghaidh. Uime sin níor cheadaigh mé duit baint léi.
6 Y díjole Dios en sueños: Yo también sé que con integridad de tu corazón has hecho esto; y yo también te detuve de pecar contra mí, y así no te permití que la tocases.
6 Und Gott sprach zu ihm im Traum: Ich weiß auch, daß du mit einfältigem Herzen das getan hast. Darum habe ich dich auch behütet, daß du nicht wider mich sündigtest, und habe es nicht zugegeben, daß du sie berührtest.
7 So now, give the man back his wife, for he is a prophet, and let him say a prayer for you, so your life may be safe: but if you do not give her back, be certain that death will come to you and all your house.
7 Maintenant, rends la femme de cet homme; car il est prophète, il priera pour toi, et tu vivras. Mais, si tu ne la rends pas, sache que tu mourras, toi et tout ce qui t'appartient.
7 Tabhair an bhean ar ais, más ea, dá fear céile anois, óir is fáidh é agus guífidh sé ar do shon agus mairfidh tú. Ach mura dtabharfaidh tú ar ais í, bíodh a fhios agat go bhfaighidh tú féin agus cách is leat bás na mbás.”
7 Ahora, pues, vuelve la mujer á su marido; porque es profeta, y orará por ti, y vivirás. Y si tú no la volvieres, sabe que de cierto morirás, con todo lo que fuere tuyo.
7 So gib nun dem Manne sein Weib wieder, denn er ist ein Prophet; und laß ihn für dich bitten, so wirst du lebendig bleiben. Wo du sie aber nicht wiedergibst, so wisse, daß du des Todes sterben mußt und alles, was dein ist.
8 So Abimelech got up early in the morning and sent for all his servants and gave them word of these things, and they were full of fear.
8 Abimélec se leva de bon matin, il appela tous ses serviteurs, et leur rapporta toutes ces choses; et ces gens furent saisis d'une grande frayeur.
8 D'éirigh Aibímeilic go moch ar maidin agus ghlaoigh chuige ar a shearbhóntaí go léir agus d'inis na nithe sin go léir dóibh; bhuail eagla mhór na fir.
8 Entonces Abimelech se levantó de mañana, y llamó á todos sus siervos, y dijo todas estas palabras en los oídos de ellos; y temieron los hombres en gran manera.
8 Da stand Abimelech des Morgens früh auf und rief alle seine Knechte und sagte ihnen dieses alles vor ihren Ohren. Und die Leute fürchteten sich sehr.
9 Then Abimelech sent for Abraham, and said, What have you done to us? what wrong have I done you that you have put on me and on my kingdom so great a sin? You have done to me things which are not to be done.
9 Abimélec appela aussi Abraham, et lui dit: Qu'est-ce que tu nous as fait? Et en quoi t'ai-je offensé, que tu aies fait venir sur moi et sur mon royaume un si grand péché? Tu as commis à mon égard des actes qui ne doivent pas se commettre.
9 Agus ghlaoigh Aibímeilic chuige ar Abrahám chomh maith agus dúirt leis: “Cad a rinne tú orainn? Cén éagóir a rinneamar ort go dtarraingeofá a leithéid de pheaca mór orm féin agus ar mo ríocht? Rinne tú liom faoi mar nár chóir.”
9 Después llamó Abimelech á Abraham y le dijo: ¿Qué nos has hecho? ¿y en qué pequé yo contra ti, que has atraído sobre mí y sobre mi reino tan gran pecado? lo que no debiste hacer has hecho conmigo.
9 Und Abimelech rief Abraham auch und sprach zu ihm: Warum hast du uns das getan? Und was habe ich an dir gesündigt, daß du so eine große Sünde wolltest auf mich und mein Reich bringen? Du hast mit mir gehandelt, wie man nicht handeln soll.
10 And Abimelech said to Abraham, Why did you do this thing?
10 Et Abimélec dit à Abraham: Quelle intention avais-tu pour agir de la sorte?
10 Ansin d'fhiafraigh Aibímeilic d'Abrahám: “Cad a bhí á thaibhreamh duit go ndearna tú an rud seo?”
10 Y dijo más Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué viste para que hicieses esto?
10 Und Abimelech sprach weiter zu Abraham: Was hast du gesehen, daß du solches getan hast?
11 And Abraham said, Because it seemed to me that there was no fear of God in this place, and that they might put me to death because of my wife.
11 Abraham répondit: Je me disais qu'il n'y avait sans doute aucune crainte de Dieu dans ce pays, et que l'on me tuerait à cause de ma femme.
11 “Rinne mé é,” arsa Abrahám, “mar gur mheas mé nach mbeadh aon eagla Dé ar aon chor san áit seo agus go maródh na daoine mé de bharr mo mhná.
11 Y Abraham respondió: Porque dije para mí: Cierto no hay temor de Dios en este Lugar, y me matarán por causa de mi mujer.
11 Abraham sprach: Ich dachte, vielleicht ist keine Gottesfurcht an diesem Orte, und sie werden mich um meines Weibes willen erwürgen.
12 And, in fact, she is my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife:
12 De plus, il est vrai qu'elle est ma soeur, fille de mon père; seulement, elle n'est pas fille de ma mère; et elle est devenue ma femme.
12 Agus fairis sin is deirfiúr dom í go deimhin, iníon do m'athair, ach nach iníon do mo mháthair í; agus tugadh dom í mar chéile.
12 Y á la verdad también es mi hermana, hija de mi padre, mas no hija de mi madre, y toméla por mujer.
12 Auch ist sie wahrhaftig meine Schwester; denn sie ist meines Vaters Tochter, aber nicht meiner Mutter Tochter, und ist mein geworden.
13 And when God sent me wandering from my father's house, I said to her, Let this be the sign of your love for me; wherever we go, say of me, He is my brother.
13 Lorsque Dieu me fit errer loin de la maison de mon père, je dis à Sara: Voici la grâce que tu me feras; dans tous les lieux où nous irons, dis de moi: C'est mon frère.
13 Nuair a thug Dia orm imeacht liom ó theach m'athar dúirt mé léi: ‘Tá gar is féidir duit a dhéanamh dom: cibé áit ina mbeidh ár dtriall, abair i mo thaobhsa: Is é mo dheartháir é.’ ”
13 Y fue que, cuando Dios me hizo salir errante de la casa de mi padre, yo le dije: Esta es la merced que tú me harás, que en todos los lugares donde llegáremos, digas de mí: Mi hermano es.
13 Da mich aber Gott aus meines Vaters Hause wandern hieß, sprach ich zu ihr: Die Barmherzigkeit tu an mir, daß, wo wir hinkommen, du sagst, ich sei dein Bruder.
14 Then Abimelech gave to Abraham sheep and oxen and men-servants and women-servants, and gave him back his wife Sarah.
14 Abimélec prit des brebis et des boeufs, des serviteurs et des servantes, et les donna à Abraham; et il lui rendit Sara, sa femme.
14 Ansin fuair Aibímeilic caoirigh agus eallach agus daoir fir agus mná agus bhronn iad ar Abrahám agus thug sé Sárá a bhean ar ais dó.
14 Entonces Abimelech tomó ovejas y vacas, y siervos y siervas, y diólo á Abraham, y devolvióle á Sara su mujer.
14 Da nahm Abimelech Schafe und Rinder, Knechte und Mägde und gab sie Abraham und gab ihm wieder sein Weib Sara
15 And Abimelech said, See, all my land is before you; take whatever place seems good to you.
15 Abimélec dit: Voici, mon pays est devant toi; demeure où il te plaira.
15 Dúirt Aibímeilic: “Sin iad mo chríocha os do chomhair; cuir fút mar ar mian leat.”
15 Y dijo Abimelech: He aquí mi tierra está delante de ti, habita donde bien te pareciere.
15 und sprach: Siehe da, mein Land steht dir offen; wohne, wo dir's wohl gefällt.
16 And he said to Sarah, See, I have given to your brother a thousand bits of silver so that your wrong may be put right; now your honour is clear in the eyes of all.
16 Et il dit à Sara: Voici, je donne à ton frère mille pièces d'argent; cela te sera un voile sur les yeux pour tous ceux qui sont avec toi, et auprès de tous tu seras justifiée.
16 Agus dúirt sé le Sárá: “Féach, thug mé míle píosa airgid do do dheartháir. Is éiric duit é i súile a bhfuil in éineacht leat; [sin deireadh an ghnó].”
16 Y á Sara dijo: He aquí he dado mil monedas de plata á tu hermano; mira que él te es por velo de ojos para todos los que están contigo, y para con todos: así fué reprendida.
16 Und sprach zu Sara: Siehe da, ich habe deinem Bruder tausend Silberlinge gegeben; siehe, das soll dir eine Decke der Augen sein vor allen, die bei dir sind, und allenthalben. Und damit war ihr Recht verschafft.
17 Then Abraham made prayer to God, and God made Abimelech well again, and his wife and his women-servants, so that they had children.
17 Abraham pria Dieu, et Dieu guérit Abimélec, sa femme et ses servantes; et elles purent enfanter.
17 Ansin, ar achainí Abrahám leigheas Dia Aibímeilic agus a bhean agus a dhaoir mná i dtreo gur rugadh clann dóibh.
17 Entonces Abraham oró á Dios; y Dios sanó á Abimelech y á su mujer, y á sus siervas, y parieron.
17 Abraham aber betete zu Gott; da heilte Gott Abimelech und sein Weib und seine Mägde, daß sie Kinder gebaren.
18 For the Lord had kept all the women of the house of Abimelech from having children, because of Sarah, Abraham's wife.
18 Car l'Éternel avait frappé de stérilité toute la maison d'Abimélec, à cause de Sara, femme d'Abraham.
