1 Now the snake was wiser than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, Has God truly said that you may not take of the fruit of any tree in the garden?
1 Le serpent était le plus rusé de tous les animaux des champs, que l'Éternel Dieu avait faits. Il dit à la femme: Dieu a-t-il réellement dit: Vous ne mangerez pas de tous les arbres du jardin?
1 Ba ghlice an nathair nimhe ná aon ainmhí allta dá ndearna an Tiarna Dia agus dúirt sí leis an mbean: “An ndúirt Dia libh gan ithe de thoradh aon chrainn sa ghairdín?”
1 Empero la serpiente era astuta, más que todos los animales del campo que Jehová Dios había hecho; la cual dijo á la mujer: ¿Conque Dios os ha dicho: No comáis de todo árbol del huerto?
1 Und die Schlange war listiger denn alle Tiere auf dem Felde, die Gott der HERR gemacht hatte, und sprach zu dem Weibe: Ja, sollte Gott gesagt haben: Ihr sollt nicht essen von den Früchten der Bäume im Garten?
2 And the woman said, We may take of the fruit of the trees in the garden:
2 La femme répondit au serpent: Nous mangeons du fruit des arbres du jardin.
2 Dúirt an bhean leis an nathair nimhe: “Ní miste dúinn toradh na gcrann sa ghairdín a ithe:
2 Y la mujer respondió á la serpiente: Del fruto de los árboles del huerto comemos;
2 Da sprach das Weib zu der Schlange: Wir essen von den Früchten der Bäume im Garten;
3 But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said, If you take of it or put your hands on it, death will come to you.
3 Mais quant au fruit de l'arbre qui est au milieu du jardin, Dieu a dit: Vous n'en mangerez point et vous n'y toucherez point, de peur que vous ne mouriez.
3 ach toradh an chrainn atá i lár an ghairdín, dúirt Dia faoi: ‘ná hithigí é agus na bainigí leis le heagla go bhfaigheadh sibh bás’.”
3 Mas del fruto del árbol que está en medio del huerto dijo Dios: No comeréis de él, ni le tocaréis, porque no muráis.
3 aber von den Früchten des Baumes mitten im Garten hat Gott gesagt: Eßt nicht davon, rührt's auch nicht an, daß ihr nicht sterbt.
4 And the snake said, Death will not certainly come to you:
4 Alors le serpent dit à la femme: Vous ne mourrez point;
4 Agus dúirt an nathair nimhe leis an mbean: “Ní bhfaighidh sibh bás, ní bhfaighidh sin!
4 Entonces la serpiente dijo á la mujer: No moriréis;
4 Da sprach die Schlange zum Weibe: Ihr werdet mitnichten des Todes sterben;
5 For God sees that on the day when you take of its fruit, your eyes will be open, and you will be as gods, having knowledge of good and evil.
5 mais Dieu sait que, le jour où vous en mangerez, vos yeux s'ouvriront, et que vous serez comme des dieux, connaissant le bien et le mal.
5 Óir is eol do Dhia an lá a íosfaidh sibh dá thoradh sin, go n‑osclófar bhur súile agus go mbeidh sibh cosúil le déithe agus fios na maitheasa agus an oilc agaibh.”
5 Mas sabe Dios que el día que comiereis de él, serán abiertos vuestros ojos, y seréis como dioses sabiendo el bien y el mal.
5 sondern Gott weiß, daß, welches Tages ihr davon eßt, so werden eure Augen aufgetan, und werdet sein wie Gott und wissen, was gut und böse ist.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and a delight to the eyes, and to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit, and gave it to her husband.
6 La femme vit que l'arbre était bon à manger et agréable à la vue, et qu'il était précieux pour ouvrir l'intelligence; elle prit de son fruit, et en mangea; elle en donna aussi à son mari, qui était auprès d'elle, et il en mangea.
6 Chonaic an bhean gur mhaith le hithe toradh an chrainn, agus gur gheal leis an tsúil é agus gur dhíol dúile é ar son an fheasa a thug sé. Thóg sí, más ea, cuid dá thoradh agus d'ith é; thug sí cuid de chomh maith dá fear a bhí ina teannta, agus d'ith sé é.
6 Y vió la mujer que el árbol era bueno para comer, y que era agradable á los ojos, y árbol codiciable para alcanzar la sabiduría; y tomó de su fruto, y comió; y dió también á su marido, el cual comió así como ella.
6 Und das Weib schaute an, daß von dem Baum gut zu essen wäre und daß er lieblich anzusehen und ein lustiger Baum wäre, weil er klug machte; und sie nahm von der Frucht und aß und gab ihrem Mann auch davon, und er aß.
7 And their eyes were open and they were conscious that they had no clothing and they made themselves coats of leaves stitched together.
7 Les yeux de l'un et de l'autre s'ouvrirent, ils connurent qu'ils étaient nus, et ayant cousu des feuilles de figuier, ils s'en firent des ceintures.
7 Osclaíodh a súile araon agus chonaiceadar go rabhadar nocht agus d'fhíodar duilleoga fige lena chéile agus rinneadar brait íochtair dóibh féin.
7 Y fueron abiertos los ojos de entrambos, y conocieron que estaban desnudos: entonces cosieron hojas de higuera, y se hicieron delantales.
7 Da wurden ihrer beiden Augen aufgetan, und sie wurden gewahr, daß sie nackt waren, und flochten Feigenblätter zusammen und machten sich Schürze.
8 And there came to them the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the evening wind: and the man and his wife went to a secret place among the trees of the garden, away from the eyes of the Lord God.
8 Alors ils entendirent la voix de l'Éternel Dieu, qui parcourait le jardin vers le soir, et l'homme et sa femme se cachèrent loin de la face de l'Éternel Dieu, au milieu des arbres du jardin.
8 Chualadar fuaim an Tiarna Dia agus é ag siúl sa ghairdín i bhfionnuaire an lae agus chuaigh an fear agus an bhean i bhfolach ón Tiarna Dia i measc na gcrann sa ghairdín.
8 Y oyeron la voz de Jehová Dios que se paseaba en el huerto al aire del día: y escondióse el hombre y su mujer de la presencia de Jehová Dios entre los árboles del huerto.
8 Und sie hörten die Stimme Gottes des HERRN, der im Garten ging, da der Tag kühl geworden war. Und Adam versteckte sich mit seinem Weibe vor dem Angesicht Gottes des HERRN unter die Bäume im Garten.
9 And the voice of the Lord God came to the man, saying, Where are you?
9 Mais l'Éternel Dieu appela l'homme, et lui dit: Où es-tu?
9 Ach ghlaoigh an Tiarna Dia ar an bhfear: “Cá bhfuil tú?” ar sé leis.
9 Y llamó Jehová Dios al hombre, y le dijo: ¿Dónde estás tú?
9 Und Gott der HERR rief Adam und sprach zu ihm: Wo bist du?
10 And he said, Hearing your voice in the garden I was full of fear, because I was without clothing: and I kept myself from your eyes.
10 Il répondit: J'ai entendu ta voix dans le jardin, et j'ai eu peur, parce que je suis nu, et je me suis caché.
10 D'fhreagair sé: “Chuala mé do ghuth sa ghairdín agus bhí eagla orm mar go raibh mé nocht, agus chuaigh mé i bhfolach.”
10 Y él respondió: Oí tu voz en el huerto, y tuve miedo, porque estaba desnudo; y escondíme.
10 Und er sprach: Ich hörte deine Stimme im Garten und fürchtete mich; denn ich bin nackt, darum versteckte ich mich.
11 And he said, Who gave you the knowledge that you were without clothing? Have you taken of the fruit of the tree which I said you were not to take?
11 Et l'Éternel Dieu dit: Qui t'a appris que tu es nu? Est-ce que tu as mangé de l'arbre dont je t'avais défendu de manger?
11 “Cé dúirt leat,” ar seisean, “go raibh tú nocht? An ag ithe a bhí tú den chrann a d'aithin mé duit gan ithe de?”
11 Y díjole: ¿Quién te enseñó que estabas desnudo? ¿Has comido del árbol de que yo te mandé no comieses?
11 Und er sprach: Wer hat dir's gesagt, daß du nackt bist? Hast du nicht gegessen von dem Baum, davon ich dir gebot, du solltest nicht davon essen?
12 And the man said, The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me the fruit of the tree and I took it.
12 L'homme répondit: La femme que tu as mise auprès de moi m'a donné de l'arbre, et j'en ai mangé.
12 “An bhean a thug tú dom mar chéile,” arsa an fear, “ise a thug toradh as an gcrann dom, agus d'ith mé é.”
12 Y el hombre respondió: La mujer que me diste por compañera me dió del árbol, y yo comí.
12 Da sprach Adam: Das Weib, das du mir zugesellt hast, gab mir von von dem Baum, und ich aß.
13 And the Lord God said to the woman, What have you done? And the woman said, I was tricked by the deceit of the snake and I took it.
13 Et l'Éternel Dieu dit à la femme: Pourquoi as-tu fait cela? La femme répondit: Le serpent m'a séduite, et j'en ai mangé.
13 Agus dúirt an Tiarna Dia leis an mbean: “Cad é seo atá déanta agat?” D'fhreagair an bhean: “Mheall an nathair mé agus d'ith mé.”
13 Entonces Jehová Dios dijo á la mujer: ¿Qué es lo que has hecho? Y dijo la mujer: La serpiente me engañó, y comí.
13 Da sprach Gott der HERR zum Weibe: Warum hast du das getan? Das Weib sprach: Die Schlange betrog mich also, daß ich aß.
14 And the Lord God said to the snake, Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle and every beast of the field; you will go flat on the earth, and dust will be your food all the days of your life:
14 L'Éternel Dieu dit au serpent: Puisque tu as fait cela, tu seras maudit entre tout le bétail et entre tous les animaux des champs, tu marcheras sur ton ventre, et tu mangeras de la poussière tous les jours de ta vie.
14 Dúirt an Tiarna Dia leis an nathair: “De bhrí go ndearna tú an rud seo go raibh mallacht ort thar an eallach go léir, thar na hainmhithe allta go léir; beidh tú ag sní ar do bholg agus ag ithe cré, gach lá de do shaol.
14 Y Jehová Dios dijo á la serpiente: Por cuanto esto hiciste, maldita serás entre todas las bestias y entre todos los animales del campo; sobre tu pecho andarás, y polvo comerás todos los días de tu vida:
14 Da sprach Gott der HERR zu der Schlange: Weil du solches getan hast, seist du verflucht vor allem Vieh und vor allen Tieren auf dem Felde. Auf deinem Bauche sollst du gehen und Erde essen dein Leben lang.
15 And there will be war between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed: by him will your head be crushed and by you his foot will be wounded.
15 Je mettrai inimitié entre toi et la femme, entre ta postérité et sa postérité: celle-ci t'écrasera la tête, et tu lui blesseras le talon.
15 Cuirfidh mé naimhdeas idir tú agus an bhean, idir do shíolsa agus a síolsa. Brúfaidh sé do cheann agus brúfaidh tusa a sháil.”
15 Y enemistad pondré entre ti y la mujer, y entre tu simiente y la simiente suya; ésta te herirá en la cabeza, y tú le herirás en el calcañar.
15 Und ich will Feindschaft setzen zwischen dir und dem Weibe und zwischen deinem Samen und ihrem Samen. Derselbe soll dir den Kopf zertreten, und du wirst ihn in die Ferse stechen.
16 To the woman he said, Great will be your pain in childbirth; in sorrow will your children come to birth; still your desire will be for your husband, but he will be your master.
16 Il dit à la femme: J'augmenterai la souffrance de tes grossesses, tu enfanteras avec douleur, et tes désirs se porteront vers ton mari, mais il dominera sur toi.
16 Dúirt sé leis an mbean: “Méadóidh mé go mór ar do thinneas ag breith clainne. Béarfaidh tú clann agus tinneas ort. Beidh mian chun do chéile ort ach beidh sé i gceannas ort.”
16 A la mujer dijo: Multiplicaré en gran manera tus dolores y tus preñeces; con dolor parirás los hijos; y á tu marido será tu deseo, y él se enseñoreará de ti.
16 Und zum Weibe sprach er: Ich will dir viel Schmerzen schaffen, wenn du schwanger wirst; du sollst mit Schmerzen Kinder gebären; und dein Verlangen soll nach deinem Manne sein, und er soll dein Herr sein.
17 And to Adam he said, Because you gave ear to the voice of your wife and took of the fruit of the tree which I said you were not to take, the earth is cursed on your account; in pain you will get your food from it all your life.
17 Il dit à l'homme: Puisque tu as écouté la voix de ta femme, et que tu as mangé de l'arbre au sujet duquel je t'avais donné cet ordre: Tu n'en mangeras point! le sol sera maudit à cause de toi. C'est à force de peine que tu en tireras ta nourriture tous les jours de ta vie,
17 Dúirt sé leis an bhfear: “De bhrí gur thug tú cluas do ghuth do mhna, agus gur ith tú de thoradh an chrainn ar aithin mé duit gan a ithe: Go raibh mallacht ar an talamh de do chionn. Faoi dhoilíos a shaothróidh tú do chuid de, gach lá de do shaol.
17 Y al hombre dijo: Por cuanto obedeciste á la voz de tu mujer, y comiste del árbol de que te mandé diciendo, No comerás de él; maldita será la tierra por amor de ti; con dolor comerás de ella todos los días de tu vida;
17 Und zu Adam sprach er: Dieweil du hast gehorcht der Stimme deines Weibes und hast gegessen von dem Baum, davon ich dir gebot und sprach: Du sollst nicht davon essen, verflucht sei der Acker um deinetwillen, mit Kummer sollst du dich darauf nähren dein Leben lang.
18 Thorns and waste plants will come up, and the plants of the field will be your food;
18 il te produira des épines et des ronces, et tu mangeras de l'herbe des champs.
18 Sceacha agus feochadáin a thabharfaidh sé duit, agus íosfaidh tú luibheanna an bháin.
18 Espinos y cardos te producirá, y comerás hierba del campo;
18 Dornen und Disteln soll er dir tragen, und sollst das Kraut auf dem Felde essen.
19 With the hard work of your hands you will get your bread till you go back to the earth from which you were taken: for dust you are and to the dust you will go back.
19 C'est à la sueur de ton visage que tu mangeras du pain, jusqu'à ce que tu retournes dans la terre, d'où tu as été pris; car tu es poussière, et tu retourneras dans la poussière.
19 Le hallas do ghrua is ea a íosfaidh tú do chuid aráin go bhfillfidh tú ar an talamh mar is as a tháinig tú. Óir is luaithreach thú, agus ar an luaithreach is ea a fhillfidh tú.”
19 En el sudor de tu rostro comerás el pan hasta que vuelvas á la tierra; porque de ella fuiste tomado: pues polvo eres, y al polvo serás tornado.
19 Im Schweiße deines Angesichts sollst du dein Brot essen, bis daß du wieder zu Erde werdest, davon du genommen bist. Denn du bist Erde und sollst zu Erde werden.
20 And the man gave his wife the name of Eve because she was the mother of all who have life.
20 Adam donna à sa femme le nom d'Eve: car elle a été la mère de tous les vivants.
20 Thug an fear Éabha ar a bhean mar gurb í máthair na mbeo go léir í.
20 Y llamó el hombre el nombre de su mujer, Eva; por cuanto ella era madre de todos lo vivientes.
20 Und Adam hieß sein Weib Eva, darum daß sie eine Mutter ist aller Lebendigen.
21 And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skins for their clothing.
21 L'Éternel Dieu fit à Adam et à sa femme des habits de peau, et il les en revêtit.
21 Rinne an Tiarna Dia éadaí as seithí don fhear agus dá bhean agus chuir siad orthu féin iad.
21 Y Jehová Dios hizo al hombre y á su mujer túnicas de pieles, y vistiólos.
21 Und Gott der HERR machte Adam und seinem Weibe Röcke von Fellen und kleidete sie.
22 And the Lord God said, Now the man has become like one of us, having knowledge of good and evil; and now if he puts out his hand and takes of the fruit of the tree of life, he will go on living for ever.
22 L'Éternel Dieu dit: Voici, l'homme est devenu comme l'un de nous, pour la connaissance du bien et du mal. Empêchons-le maintenant d'avancer sa main, de prendre de l'arbre de vie, d'en manger, et de vivre éternellement.
22 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna Dia: “Féach! Tá an duine arna dhéanamh cosúil linn féin leis an bhfios maitheasa agus oilc atá aige. Le heagla go sínfeadh sé a lámh chomh maith agus toradh a stoitheadh de chrann na beatha, agus é a ithe agus maireachtáil go deo” -
22 Y dijo Jehová Dios: He aquí el hombre es como uno de Nos sabiendo el bien y el mal: ahora, pues, porque no alargue su mano, y tome también del árbol de la vida, y coma, y viva para siempre:
22 Und Gott der HERR sprach: Siehe, Adam ist geworden wie unsereiner und weiß, was gut und böse ist. Nun aber, daß er nicht ausstrecke seine Hand und breche auch von dem Baum des Lebens und esse und lebe ewiglich!
23 So the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to be a worker on the earth from which he was taken.
23 Et l'Éternel Dieu le chassa du jardin d'Éden, pour qu'il cultivât la terre, d'où il avait été pris.
23 Uime sin dhíbir an Tiarna Dia as gairdín Éidin é chun an talamh as ar tógadh é a shaothrú.
23 Y sacólo Jehová del huerto de Edén, para que labrase la tierra de que fué tomado.
23 Da wies ihn Gott der HERR aus dem Garten Eden, daß er das Feld baute, davon er genommen ist,
24 So he sent the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden he put winged ones and a flaming sword turning every way to keep the way to the tree of life.
24 C'est ainsi qu'il chassa Adam; et il mit à l'orient du jardin d'Éden les chérubins qui agitent une épée flamboyante, pour garder le chemin de l'arbre de vie.
