1 And the heaven and the earth and all things in them were complete.
1 Ainsi furent achevés les cieux et la terre, et toute leur armée.

2 And on the seventh day God came to the end of all his work; and on the seventh day he took his rest from all the work which he had done.
2 Dieu acheva au septième jour son oeuvre, qu'il avait faite: et il se reposa au septième jour de toute son oeuvre, qu'il avait faite.
2 Ar an seachtú lá chríochnaigh Dia an obair a rinne sé. Scoir sé ar an seachtú lá den obair go léir a rinne sé.
2 Y acabó Dios en el día séptimo su obra que hizo, y reposó el día séptimo de toda su obra que había hecho.
2 Und also vollendete Gott am siebenten Tage seine Werke, die er machte, und ruhte am siebenten Tage von allen seinen Werken, die er machte.
3 And God gave his blessing to the seventh day and made it holy: because on that day he took his rest from all the work which he had made and done.
3 Dieu bénit le septième jour, et il le sanctifia, parce qu'en ce jour il se reposa de toute son oeuvre qu'il avait créée en la faisant.
3 Bheannaigh agus naomhaigh Dia an seachtú lá mar scoir sé an lá sin den obair go léir a rinne sé sa chruthú.
3 Y bendijo Dios al día séptimo, y santificólo, porque en él reposó de toda su obra que había Dios criado y hecho.
3 Und Gott segnete den siebenten Tag und heiligte ihn, darum daß er an demselben geruht hatte von allen seinen Werken, die Gott schuf und machte.
4 These are the generations of the heaven and the earth when they were made.
4 Voici les origines des cieux et de la terre, quand ils furent créés.
4 Sin iad céatúsa neimhe agus talún nuair a cruthaíodh iad. An Cruthú: An Dara hInsint: Parthas Nuair a rinne an Tiarna Dia neamh agus talamh,
4 Estos son los orígenes de los cielos y de la tierra cuando fueron criados, el día que Jehová Dios hizo la tierra y los cielos,
4 Also ist Himmel und Erde geworden, da sie geschaffen sind, zu der Zeit, da Gott der HERR Erde und Himmel machte.
5 In the day when the Lord God made earth and heaven there were no plants of the field on the earth, and no grass had come up: for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to do work on the land.
5 Lorsque l'Éternel Dieu fit une terre et des cieux, aucun arbuste des champs n'était encore sur la terre, et aucune herbe des champs ne germait encore: car l'Éternel Dieu n'avait pas fait pleuvoir sur la terre, et il n'y avait point d'homme pour cultiver le sol.
5 ní raibh aon fhás fiáin fós ar talamh, ná aon lus fiáin fós ag péacadh, mar níor chuir an Tiarna Dia aon fhearthainn fós ar an talamh agus ní raibh duine ann a shaothródh an talamh.
5 Y toda planta del campo antes que fuese en la tierra, y toda hierba del campo antes que naciese: porque aun no había Jehová Dios hecho llover sobre la tierra, ni había hombre para que labrase la tierra;
5 Und allerlei Bäume auf dem Felde waren noch nicht auf Erden, und allerlei Kraut auf dem Felde war noch nicht gewachsen; denn Gott der HERR hatte noch nicht regnen lassen auf Erden, und es war kein Mensch, der das Land baute.
6 But a mist went up from the earth, watering all the face of the land.
6 Mais une vapeur s'éleva de la terre, et arrosa toute la surface du sol.
6 Bhí, más ea, fíoruisce ag brúchtaíl aníos ón talamh agus ag uisciú dromchla na talún go léir.
6 Mas subía de la tierra un vapor, que regaba toda la faz de la tierra.
6 Aber ein Nebel ging auf von der Erde und feuchtete alles Land.
7 And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.
7 L'Éternel Dieu forma l'homme de la poussière de la terre, il souffla dans ses narines un souffle de vie et l'homme devint un être vivant.
7 Ansin chum an Tiarna Dia an duine de chré na talún agus shéid anáil na beatha ina pholláirí; ar an gcaoi sin rinne neach beo den duine.
7 Formó, pues, Jehová Dios al hombre del polvo de la tierra, y alentó en su nariz soplo de vida; y fué el hombre en alma viviente.
7 Und Gott der HERR machte den Menschen aus einem Erdenkloß, uns blies ihm ein den lebendigen Odem in seine Nase. Und also ward der Mensch eine lebendige Seele.
8 And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had made.
8 Puis l'Éternel Dieu planta un jardin en Éden, du côté de l'orient, et il y mit l'homme qu'il avait formé.
8 Phlandaigh an Tiarna Dia parthas in Éidin san oirthear agus chuir sé ann an duine a chum sé.
8 Y había Jehová Dios plantado un huerto en Edén al oriente, y puso allí al hombre que había formado.
8 Und Gott der HERR pflanzte einen Garten in Eden gegen Morgen und setzte den Menschen hinein, den er gemacht hatte.
9 And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come, delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
9 L'Éternel Dieu fit pousser du sol des arbres de toute espèce, agréables à voir et bons à manger, et l'arbre de la vie au milieu du jardin, et l'arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal.
9 Chuir an Tiarna Dia ag fás aníos as an talamh gach uile chineál crainn is geal leis an tsúil agus is maith le hithe, crann na beatha mar an gcéanna i lár an ghairdín agus crann fhios na maitheasa agus an oilc.
9 Y había Jehová Dios hecho nacer de la tierra todo árbol delicioso á la vista, y bueno para comer: también el árbol de vida en medio del huerto, y el árbol de ciencia del bien y del mal.
9 Und Gott der HERR ließ aufwachsen aus der Erde allerlei Bäume, lustig anzusehen und gut zu essen, und den Baum des Lebens mitten im Garten und den Baum der Erkenntnis des Guten und Bösen.
10 And a river went out of Eden giving water to the garden; and from there it was parted and became four streams.
10 Un fleuve sortait d'Éden pour arroser le jardin, et de là il se divisait en quatre bras.
10 Bhí abhainn ag sní as Éidin amach ag uisciú an ghairdín, agus roinneadh ansiúd í agus rinne ceithre abhainn di.
10 Y salía de Edén un río para regar el huerto, y de allí se repartía en cuatro ramales.
10 Und es ging aus von Eden ein Strom, zu wässern den Garten, und er teilte sich von da in vier Hauptwasser.
11 The name of the first is Pishon, which goes round about all the land of Havilah where there is gold.
11 Le nom du premier est Pischon; c'est celui qui entoure tout le pays de Havila, où se trouve l'or.
11 Píseon a thugtar ar an gcéad abhainn díobhsan, agus is í sin a ghabhann timpeall tír Havalá go léir mar a bhfuil an t‑ór.
11 El nombre del uno era Pisón: éste es el que cerca toda la tierra de Havilah, donde hay oro:
11 Das erste heißt Pison, das fließt um das ganze Land Hevila; und daselbst findet man Gold.
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
12 L'or de ce pays est pur; on y trouve aussi le bdellium et la pierre d'onyx.
12 Is maith é ór na tíre sin, agus tá bdellium ann agus óinix.
12 Y el oro de aquella tierra es bueno: hay allí también bdelio y piedra cornerina.
12 Und das Gold des Landes ist köstlich; und da findet man Bedellion und den Edelstein Onyx.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: this river goes round all the land of Cush.
13 Le nom du second fleuve est Guihon; c'est celui qui entoure tout le pays de Cusch.
13 Gíohón a thugtar ar an dara habhainn agus is í a ghabhann timpeall tír Chúis go léir.
13 El nombre del segundo río es Gihón: éste es el que rodea toda la tierra de Etiopía.
13 Das andere Wasser heißt Gihon, das fließt um um das ganze Mohrenland.
14 And the name of the third river is Tigris, which goes to the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
14 Le nom du troisième est Hiddékel; c'est celui qui coule à l'orient de l'Assyrie. Le quatrième fleuve, c'est l'Euphrate.
14 An Tigris a thugtar ar an tríú habhainn agus sníonn sí lastoir den Aisír. An Eofrataes an ceathrú habhainn.
14 Y el nombre del tercer río es Hiddekel: éste es el que va delante de Asiria. Y el cuarto río es el Eufrates.
14 Das dritte Wasser heißt Hiddekel, das fließt vor Assyrien. Das vierte Wasser ist der Euphrat.
15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it.
15 L'Éternel Dieu prit l'homme, et le plaça dans le jardin d'Éden pour le cultiver et pour le garder.

15 Tomó, pues, Jehová Dios al hombre, y le puso en el huerto de Edén, para que lo labrara y lo guardase.
15 Und Gott der HERR nahm den Menschen und setzte ihn in den Garten Eden, daß er ihn baute und bewahrte.
16 And the Lord God gave the man orders, saying, You may freely take of the fruit of every tree of the garden:
16 L'Éternel Dieu donna cet ordre à l'homme: Tu pourras manger de tous les arbres du jardin;
16 Thug an Tiarna Dia aithne don duine á rá: “Tá saorchead agat toradh a ithe de gach crann sa ghairdín,
16 Y mandó Jehová Dios al hombre, diciendo: De todo árbol del huerto comerás;
16 Und Gott der HERR gebot dem Menschen und sprach: Du sollst essen von allerlei Bäumen im Garten;
17 But of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you may not take; for on the day when you take of it, death will certainly come to you.
17 mais tu ne mangeras pas de l'arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal, car le jour où tu en mangeras, tu mourras.
17 ach toradh de chrann fhios na maitheasa agus an oilc, ní íosfaidh tú mar an lá a íosfaidh tú de thoradh an chrainn sin, gheobhair bás, gheobhair sin.”
17 Mas del árbol de ciencia del bien y del mal no comerás de él; porque el día que de él comieres, morirás.
17 aber von dem Baum der Erkenntnis des Guten und des Bösen sollst du nicht essen; denn welches Tages du davon ißt, wirst du des Todes sterben.
18 And the Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be by himself: I will make one like himself as a help to him
18 L'Éternel Dieu dit: Il n'est pas bon que l'homme soit seul; je lui ferai une aide semblable à lui.
18 Agus dúirt an Tiarna Dia: “Ní maith é an duine a bheith leis féin. Déanfaidh mé céile cúnta a dhiongbhála dó.”
18 Y dijo Jehová Dios: No es bueno que el hombre esté solo; haréle ayuda idónea para él.
18 Und Gott der HERR sprach: Es ist nicht gut, daß der Mensch allein sei; ich will ihm eine Gehilfin machen, die um ihn sei.
19 And from the earth the Lord God made every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and took them to the man to see what names he would give them: and whatever name he gave to any living thing, that was its name.
19 L'Éternel Dieu forma de la terre tous les animaux des champs et tous les oiseaux du ciel, et il les fit venir vers l'homme, pour voir comment il les appellerait, et afin que tout être vivant portât le nom que lui donnerait l'homme.
19 Chum an Tiarna Dia dá bhrí sin as an talamh ainmhithe an mhachaire go léir, éanlaith an aeir go léir, agus thug sé i láthair an duine iad féachaint cen t‑ainm a thabharfadh sé orthu: cibé ainm a thabharfadh an duine ar gach dúil bheo, sin é a bheadh mar ainm air.
19 Formó, pues, Jehová Dios de la tierra toda bestia del campo, y toda ave de los cielos, y trájolas á Adam, para que viese cómo les había de llamar; y todo lo que Adam llamó á los animales vivientes, ese es su nombre.
19 Denn als Gott der HERR gemacht hatte von der Erde allerlei Tiere auf dem Felde und allerlei Vögel unter dem Himmel, brachte er sie zu dem Menschen, daß er sähe, wie er sie nennte; denn der wie Mensch allerlei lebendige Tiere nennen würde, so sollten sie heißen.
20 And the man gave names to all cattle and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field; but Adam had no one like himself as a help.
20 Et l'homme donna des noms à tout le bétail, aux oiseaux du ciel et à tous les animaux des champs; mais, pour l'homme, il ne trouva point d'aide semblable à lui.
20 Thug an duine ainm ar an eallach go léir, ar éanlaith an aeir go léir, agus ar na hainmhithe allta. Ach ní bhfuarthas céile cúnta a dhiongbhála don duine.
20 Y puso Adam nombres á toda bestia y ave de los cielos y á todo animal del campo: mas para Adam no halló ayuda que estuviese idónea para él.
20 Und der Mensch gab einem jeglichen Vieh und Vogel unter dem Himmel und Tier auf dem Felde seinen Namen; aber für den Menschen ward keine Gehilfin gefunden, die um ihn wäre.
21 And the Lord God sent a deep sleep on the man, and took one of the bones from his side while he was sleeping, joining up the flesh again in its place:
21 Alors l'Éternel Dieu fit tomber un profond sommeil sur l'homme, qui s'endormit; il prit une de ses côtes, et referma la chair à sa place.
21 Chuir an Tiarna Dia suan trom ar an duine, agus, ina shuan dó, bhain sé easna as agus chuir feoil ina timpeall.
21 Y Jehová Dios hizo caer sueño sobre Adam, y se quedó dormido: entonces tomó una de sus costillas, y cerró la carne en su lugar;
21 Da ließ Gott der HERR einen tiefen Schlaf fallen auf den Menschen, und er schlief ein. Und er nahm seiner Rippen eine und schloß die Stätte zu mit Fleisch.
22 And the bone which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman, and took her to the man.
22 L'Éternel Dieu forma une femme de la côte qu'il avait prise de l'homme, et il l'amena vers l'homme.

22 Y de la costilla que Jehová Dios tomó del hombre, hizo una mujer, y trájola al hombre.
22 Und Gott der HERR baute ein Weib aus der Rippe, die er vom Menschen nahm, und brachte sie zu ihm.
23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh: let her name be Woman because she was taken out of Man.
23 Et l'homme dit: Voici cette fois celle qui est os de mes os et chair de ma chair! on l'appellera femme, parce qu'elle a été prise de l'homme.
23 Dúirt an duine ansin: “Is cnámh de mo chnámha-sa í seo ar deireadh, Agus is feoil de m'fheoilse í. Tabharfar bean [ís-seá] uirthi Mar gur baineadh as an bhfear [ís] í.”
23 Y dijo Adam: Esto es ahora hueso de mis huesos, y carne de mi carne: ésta será llamada Varona, porque del varón fué tomada.
23 Da sprach der Mensch: Das ist doch Bein von meinem Bein und Fleisch von meinem Fleisch; man wird sie Männin heißen, darum daß sie vom Manne genommen ist.
24 For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.
24 C'est pourquoi l'homme quittera son père et sa mère, et s'attachera à sa femme, et ils deviendront une seule chair.
24 Uime sin, fágann an fear a athair agus a mháthair agus cloíonn sé lena bhean, agus déanann aon fheoil amháin díobh.
24 Por tanto, dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y allegarse ha á su mujer, y serán una sola carne.
24 Darum wird ein Mann Vater und Mutter verlassen und an seinem Weibe hangen, und sie werden sein ein Fleisch.
25 And the man and his wife were without clothing, and they had no sense of shame.
25 L'homme et sa femme étaient tous deux nus, et ils n'en avaient point honte.
